Caray, Caray!

PERLA--Jean, thanks for the shout out for Perla. I mentioned over the weekend that I wouldn't be available for the next two weeks for watching or recapping. It would be wonderful for someone to step in and post some highlights. We seem to be a very small community of watchers and I hate to disappoint them (and myself), but will try to pick up the reins when I get back.

I sadly leave Franz in jail, Manfred gloating, Perla terrified for her father, Ernest lies a-mouldering at home, Amelia inconsolable. Giuseppe has been located and a four-way tussle begins for Laura, Gaia, Toni and Hilda. Victor is still seeing visions of Silvia, Silvia is stirring in the shack. Mundo and Yolanda, David and Aurora are the only happy couples right now. What else could possibly happen to them?

Bajo. The Telemundo site had the real Friday episode up today. They showed it without commercials, which must be some kind of apology. Was I right about the post-interview conversation between Isabel and Maria being hilarious? With all the anxiety about Luis and Susy's running away and Adela's new separation from Carlos because of Rodrigo's confession of love + his responsibility for the false Adela's death (indirect though it was)it made for some nice relief. Though I must say, if people really wanted to be sure that Adela showed up for the commitment ceremony she didn't even know about--she thought it was a birthday party for Santiago--someone really should have told her about it. In this episode Felicia has gone beyond obsessive to truly evil--though I believe I've said that before. :)
 

BAJO – LUNES – Parte 1 de 3

We see Adela’s shocked and dismayed face. Rodrigo: Sí, m’hija, esa es la verdad. ¡No solo soy la lacra que desgració a tu familia; también soy el mismo güey que ama a la mujer de su padre! [Yes, it’s true. I’m not only the blight upon humanity that ruined your family, but I’m the same dude that is in love with his father’s woman!]

Adela tells him he must be confused. But even if true it wouldn’t justify his killing an innocent woman. He tells her not to judge him. She would have done exactly the same if Carlos were in danger. Very agitated, she tells him not to say that. He’s in love with Gracie and she will be in love with Carlos forever.

At the doomed party Carlos and Santiago fuss because Adela hasn’t yet arrived. Padre Domingo suggests serving some appetizers so the guests won’t be so restive.

Felicia is in her house speaking to her brother. Cristóbal is the one who let it slip about the casi-boda that’s about to take place. She yells that she’s going there to stop it. She’s loved Carlos for years, and the baby is the proof of this. [No, Felicia. The baby is the result of a chance meeting of your egg and someone’s sperm and proves absolutely nothing about love.] She thinks Gracie will know where this event is to take place and rushes off to question her.

Rodrigo tells Adela that he didn’t kill the woman. She was a junkie whose life had no value. She killed herself. Adela: “You induced her to kill herself!” Desperate, Rodrigo tells her there was no other way. El Colmillo threatened to kill him, to kill his father and his whole family if he didn’t give them Adela Morales. He tells her that they are alike. “You did what no “homie” has ever done, escaped from the gang and just laughed at all the traps they set for you. And you survived.” He tells her that he promised to stay away from she, Carlos, and Luis, and that’s what he’s going to do.

Adela: “What good does it do me that you saved my life because now you’ve showed up to ruin it. How can I be happy with Carlos knowing that his son, who killed my brother, is in love with me." She bursts into tears.

Luis and Susy have come to Carlos’ house so Luis can pack up. On Friday we saw Susy overhear that her parents were planning to send her to Europe, and she fled, having found the keys to her car in her father’s office. Luis packs quickly, leaving Nick to watch the door. He takes along the picture of his mother.

Cristóbal and Felicia arrive at the apartment where Gracie and Rod have been living. Adela is just walking outside toward the stairs. Rod stops her, saying they haven’t finished talking yet. Felicia overhears this from one of the usual telenovela spying places. Adela tells Rodrigo to disappear. She’s never going to forgive him for killing an innocent woman, even if it was to save her life. Rod: “And what did you expect? That I let them kill the woman I love, that they kill you!” Feli’s eyes widen.

We see lots more of Carlos fuming at the party. You can certainly understand how he feels, after two weeks of loving preparations.

Back to the apartment. Feli murmurs to herself: “Rodrigo, in love with Mati?” Adela goes on. “Can you even imagine the pain your father is going to feel?” Rodrigo: “Don’t tell him!” Feli smiles her mean little kitty smile.

Adela: “Go away once and for all!” Cristobal sees Adela and wonders what she’s doing here.

Rod goes inside and breaks some of the furniture in his apartment, filled with grief.

Felicia approaches Adela. ”Eres pájaro de mal agüero. I always knew you’d destroy Carlos’ life. So, what? You’re going to tell your lover Rodrigo to kill me like he did that other woman?” Cris approaches and starts to tell Adela that she ought to be … but Feli interrupts. To Adela: “Is this what you want, speaking in front of my brother. You decide if you want to tell what Rodrigo just confessed to you.”

Adela backs off and tells Cristóbal that she and Felicia need to resolve this alone.

At Casa Sanders, Jacob insists that they can’t wait until the day of the flight to tell Susy. Débora has no choice and follows Jacob into Susy’s bedroom. They discover she’s gone, and so is her passport.

Feli spouts venom at Adela, saying she entered his life as a thief. Adela says she didn’t ask Rodrigo to kill someone. She says the only person who does that is Felicia. Feli tells her to disappear. If she doesn’t go, she’ll tell her brother that Rodrigo killed someone for Mati and they’ll put him in jail. “Think of Carlos. Are you going to let him find out that his son, for whom he’s searched all these years, is in love with you?”

Adela: “I know you’re capable of anything to get Carlos, but I never imagined you’d be capable of breaking his heart about his son." Feli says she’s giving him a child and will make him happy. Adela looks at her scornfully and says she’s not a better person than she is. Feli calls her a time bomb ready to explode and leaves.

Juana describes the person who came to Carlos’ house just before Adela disappeared, and Carlos realizes it was Willy.

Jacob and Débora decide to go to the party thinking Luis will be there.

Sharon is turning out to be a good little gang member and seems pleased when EC praises her and the other girls for delivering the guns to the Anthrax gang.

When Jacob and Débora arrive Jacob tells Carlos he’s sorry to spoil the party, but he’s convinced that Luis and Susy are leaving the area.

Carlos comes to Willy’s apartment and grabs him by the lapels. Sharon explains that Willy came because he hoped Luis could talk her out of being in La Colonia. Carlos: “You joined the gang? Are you crazy?”

Jacob calls Cristóbal, seemingly the only cop in LA, to report the absence of Susy and Luis.

Feli tells her baby that, if God didn’t want to bless that union, it’s because Carlos is going to come back to us forever.
 

BAJO – LUNES – Parte 3 de 3

We get the funny scene Span Prof referred to between María and Chabela. At this point we need a little comic relief. Chabela comes in and helps herself to some tequila. She’s griping to María about her horrible day. There were no jobs at her “level”. The only thing she was offered was working in a cafeteria. María can only laugh and pour herself another shot.

El Colmillo has called Rod to come to Gang HQ. He’s telling him about the casino deal. He notices that Rod isn’t in a good mood. Rod says he’s been having problems at home, jealousy.

Carlos comes home and finds Adela’s cell on the couch. He calls Rod to say he can’t find Adela nor Luis and needs his help.

Adela has come to the Sanders house and is crying in the kitchen. Ramona comes in amazed to see her and says that everyone is looking for her. “Why didn’t she appear at the ceremony?” Adela: “What ceremony?” Ramona tells her all about the flowers, the food, the priest. Adela: “Carlos did this for me?”

There’s a continuation of the scene with Chabela and María. They’re getting drunk together. María tells her she’s living in a dream world. In this country you have to start at the bottom. Chabela indignantly says she’s not undocumented. Her father was born in Arizona. It was her mother who wanted to live in Mexico. María tells her that having citizenship isn’t everything. Chabela has never held a job in the US. Chabela replies that she just needs some time to find something at her level. María: “What’s your level? Princess level, queen level?” Chabela makes María laugh ironically when she says she’s going to triumph.

Cristóbal is speaking with Débora and Jacob. “You were going to take your daughter out of the country by force?” Jacob: “By force, no. We wanted to wait until the last minute.”

We see Nick, Susy and Luis at the airport. They have been able to sell her car (really owned by her father) for half of its worth and now have some money.

We see Gracie “riding the dog”. Rod calls her and says that he can’t leave right away. He says that his brother has disappeared. Gracie whines.

We see Luis and Susy on the plane to somewhere. Luis tells her his father will be fine. He’s on his way on his honeymoon, just like the two of them.

Adela tells Ramona she never would have imagined that today would be a day so important. And that ended up being the worst possible day for she and Carlos. She muses: “It was going to be like a wedding, and I was going to be the bride.” Ramona tells her that she ought to call Carlos. Adela: “And say what? That his son is in love with me?” Ramona is shocked. Adela: “This is the end. Carlos and I simply cannot be.”

Carlos is at home. There’s a knock on the door. He says Adela’s name and rushes to open the door. Of course, it’s Felicia. He asks why she’s there. Isn’t she supposed to rest for the baby. She says the baby is fine. But today she found out something that she had to tell him in person. Ay!!

I too watch tonight's show on Saturday at Telemundo's site, wow, the roof was falling in on everyone, I have no idea how any of this can be made right, except for someone to put a bullet in Colmillo's head.

I like Gacho being a good guy, he and Rod really click.

“riding the dog”, ah, as in greyhound, I think Susi/Luis are also coaching it, I can't remember anyone flying in a novela except narcos, I'm wondering if they will end up in Maine too.

"Feli smiles her mean little kitty smile", wow you nailed her whole personality with this one line.

 

Bajo. Excellent recap, novelera! I hope they get Carlos and Adela back together soon and not drag this slightly artificial separation out too long. And is there anything that could possibly happen that would make them both US citizens? I'm assuming that someone is going to locate Luis and Susy and they will both be able to finish their respective senior years of high school--and not in France.
 

SpanProf, there a visa category for people who cooperate with law enforcement and help them catch criminals. So if Adla was to help them catch the gang and put them away she can get a visa to stay. Here is the statute for S visa.
There is a U visa for victimsof violent crimes: murder, manslaughter, vehicular homicide, robbery, felonious assault (what qualifies as felonious assault can differ, but usually involves the use of a deadly weapon, and can include statutory rape and other offenses), and domestic violence. Stalking was also added to the list of crimes for petitions filed after March 7, 2013.
The S nonimmigrant classification is generally available to aliens who would otherwise be inadmissible to or deportable from the United States (for example, due to criminal convictions or certain problems with immigration status) It is for aliens who provide critical, reliable information necessary to the successful investigation or prosecution of a criminal organization. The statute authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to waive most grounds of inadmissibility. So at least for Adela it may be possible.

Bajo. Thanks, Romy! And if Carlos were then to marry Adela he too could get citizenship. I was possibly expecting something a little more telenovelesco--like Laura Morales having accidentally married a US citizen (perhaps while drunk), and then given birth to Adela, or Adela's having been born in the US, and the border crossing having been necessary for her mother and brother but not her. However, helping to convict a criminal gang makes more sense in this tn.

Thanks for all the interesting information on immigration status, Romy. As far as I know the only way to correct things on Caray is by putting the whole comment in the trash and starting over. I write my recaps in Word and then paste them in and, of course, even then some mistakes creep in.

I believe Telenundo has as a rule higher quality TN's. I guess they could attribute some of that to NOT having Salvador Mejia.

Ramona gave right-on and extremely sensible advice to Adela, Among other things she said that Rodrigo and Greicy are both grownups and it isn't Adela's responsibility if Rodrigo says he's in love with her. Of course, Adela has decided to be "noble" and not risk coming between Rodrigo and Carlos. I think Luis and Susy may be home soon, as the motel manager is in the process of stealing their money. And creepy Alan is finally showing his true colors--evidently he has gotten Juana's mother in debt to him financially. I wonder what kind of slavery he has planned for Juana? Once again Débora has burned Ramona--this time with hot tea, after blaming her for Susy's running away! When will that woman ever pay for the physical assaults she has inflicted? I count 3 as of now. Lots of nasty Felicia smiles and back and forth innuendos between her and Rodrigo, and Cristóbal seems to suspect that she is responsible for Mati's not being at Carlos's.

Bajo. The other one wasn't aimed at Ramona. She hit Luis in full view of everyone at the police station where Luis and Susy had been brought after being harassed by gang members at the beach. It was a pretty strong slap and she really should have been charged with assault. You notice that she has never hit Adela though she was once on the verge. Bullies know who not to pick on.

Bajo. It looks as if everyone will be converging on San Diego, in an attempt to find Luis and Susy, including Rodrigo and Adela. Oh oh! And we may be glad that the gang is watching over Luis and Susy, since the motel manager has shown up again with a couple of enormous thugs while Luis is out getting food. The thugs are armed and are trying to get Susy to show them where the money is. (There must be a particular group of actors who only do this type of role--sort of like sumo wrestlers). Wonder if EC's people will take them out. EC really does seem to like to feel like a father. And Willy is now publicly a multiple murderer after that hardware store incident. It may be somewhat inspirational that Yei can do so much despite being nearly blind, but really, should he have been involved in the hardware store shakedown? And once again Ramona is a fount of wisdom, to both Adela and Juana. Btw, Adela noticed Juana's bruises immediately, and Ramona figured out exactly how she had gotten them. Will padre Domingo ever start denying Felicia absolution for her truly unrepentant meddling in Carlos's and Adela's lives? He rightly guessed that she had a hand in Adela's and Carlos's latest separation.

I’m pretty much missing in action this week. The horrible transfer of our company’s data to a new, completely non-user friendly software is taking place. I wore my skeleton necklace, earrings, and scarf today in honor of the death of the old program that worked so well for all of us. Also…Halloween.

Bajo has taken a very sad turn. The only bright spot was María’s kindness to little Alex. Adela is making a big mistake. Felicia is doing the standard villain taunting of the priest who can’t say anything.

Poor little Susy is at risk, although this might be a red herring. I’m thinking that the La Colonia gang will overpower the San Diego thugs scaring her.

And Débora burns Ramona once more.

Ramona wasn’t much help to Juana, just the same refrain of: they mess us around and we are powerless. I’m sure Alan is not going to be able to murder Juana and bury her in the back yard, but it’s frustrating seeing Juana at his mercy. I know there’s an agency in the Bay Area that helps undocumented workers with abusive employers. I suspect LA probably has such a thing as well.

So, crazy work week, book club tonight, and a Halloween party Friday night. So I won’t have time for any recaps.
 

Bajo. Hi, novelera! Kind of sounds like our email transition here to Outlook--which has a tendency to swallow messages, when our previous system worked just fine. The other time waster around here is called program prioritization. ugh! It will be satisfying to see Mr. Allan get his, which I'm sure he will. I still think that this Carlos-Adela separation is fairly artificial. And yes, Ramona is elderly and lives in fear of being tossed out by Débora. She's good at diagnosis, but seems powerless to help.

interesting how the Carlos family came to the same conclusion, San Diego, each by their own completely different way, Carlos with his good nature, appealing to the good in others, Rodrigo by making a deal with the devil, for which he will probably have to repay, and Adela with her street savvy go for the throat approach, with emphasis on we are in this together.

I guess it was realistic, but I was disappointed at how quickly Susy reverted to little princess rich girl when things got tough. It wasn't Luis' fault that the money was stolen and he was beaten, but he was trying to protect her and basically "manned up" even resisting the thugs until they again threatened Susy.

Would it have killed Jacob to thank Rodrigo for giving him the money he got back from the hotel room thief?

El Colmillo completely surprised me. I thought he was going to completely lose it when he found out his güerota was preggers. And he didn't seem to think the less of her when she said she didn't even know who the father of her child was. Very atypical non-macho response. He sees this as a way of becoming a father again. And he wants Felicia bad. I don't think Willy would survive an attempt on him, especially since I think EC is a more important character to the writers. But I also think Willy needs to be around when and if he's revealed as the baby's real father. Unless they go with Felicia miscarrying as payback for all the double dealing and trying (and succeeding with the ex-husband) to get people murdered. So I think somehow Willy's plan to kill EC won't work.

I was surprised by Rodrigo's behavior on the little San Diego get-away for he and Adela. I had thought he was really going with staying away from her because of loving his father and respecting that Adela loved him. Either the writers meant he couldn't resist this opportunity to spend time with her or it was about her not showing up for the ceremony. Maybe he now thinks he has a shot.

So now Chabela is going to be the queen of the police station! I couldn't tell if Cristóbal was just disgusted at how men always fawn over her or if there was a hint of jealousy. Right now she doesn't deserve him. But they'll probably go with her having some "come to Jesus" moment and be worthy of him. Alex definitely deserves Cris as his father.

Floridia, the last time they mentioned where she was, it was Colorado. But I think that was two days ago. Even though she's on a bus traveling East, she's still obsessing over why Rodrigo can't spend time with her on the phone. Someone here said she might get on another bus West and return to LA. I suppose that wouldn't be that surprising, but I hope she doesn't do it.

Bajo. Thanks, Deb! I must say that I really enjoyed it when Adela decked the crooked motel manager! I think Luis and Susy were already drifting apart and that if their parents had just left them alone they would probably no longer be a couple. I think the key scene was when Susy took Luis to that overpriced restaurant. EC's one endearing quality is that he keeps trying to turn people into his "children," especially Rodrigo. I think he would truly try to be a father to Felicia's child--while of course raising it in the was of criminality.
 

Bajo. Oh, and I was surpised that Chabela thinks that even secretarial work is beneath her! Truly delusions of something or other! Loved María's call to Mr. Jacob. They really seem to care for each other, but not romantically yet. Rodrigo is starting to act like a jerk with Adela--he seems to have forgotten his respect for his "jefe," and no way Adela is going to fall for him. As she says, he represents everything that is bad about her past, while Carlos has shown her the truly good kind of person she could be.

I don't blame Greicy one bit that she wants to have a nice, long conversation with Rodrigo while she is on a very long and boring bus ride. It is the same any of us would want. With all his money, I am very surprised that Rod didn't buy her a plane ticket to her destinaton.

He has hardly paid any attention to her at all, although I do think he cares for her to some degree and for "his" baby. He knows that she loves him unconditionally, and he should be grateful. He is very fortunate to have her in his corner.

It will be lovely seeing Maria and Jacob together.

I would be amazed if Chabela can handle secretarial work, but perhaps she will surprise us.

Floridia, Gracie is on the bus because of Rod's plan. As he explained it to her, he was going to tell El Colmillo that his wife left him and went to Monterrey in Mexico. Then he planned to ask to go after her. He would go with Jay (EC would balk at letting him go alone), give Jay the slip, and then go to Maine to be with Gracie instead. When he described this to Gracie, he told her that the gang could trace a plane ticket, and you have to provide your real name and picture ID for a flight. I don't know if that's true for bus trips, but the writers seem to think it is.
 

Bajo. A couple of final thoughts on last night's episode. First, I never would have thought I'd be disappointed that La Colonia didn't show up--as they didn't when Luis and Susy were being robbed and Luis beaten. Second, Adela was definitely acting like Luis's stepmom when they got him back to Carlos's house.

I was remembering last night how Rodrigo was (somewhat) obsessed with his mother and now that his dad has a new woman, he is obsessed with her, I think Maria's expression on seeing Rod kiss Mati speaks for all of us.

hmm, the poison food thingy never seems to work out, a person could almost feel sorry for Jay, what more could go wrong for that guy?

I like how, even though Maria's overhearing the confrontation between Rodrigo and Adela is sort of a telenovela cliche, she heard the whole thing, did not jump to conclusions, and now knows exactly why Adela broke up with Carlos. The only thing she might not be clear on yet is Felicia's role in the whole mess. And then later she confronts Rodrigo and tells him to shape up and that he's not the only person ever to have an unrequited love. Almost everyone has! Maria is such a sensible woman! She tells him that he's an egotist (which he is) and to get over it! Suddenly Maria is my favorite character in this tn. And at the end of the episode Mr. Jacob recognizes Adela's high intelligence and gives her a promotion! Also, Luis and Carlos are bonding even more because of their unhappy love situations. Always a bright side. :)

CELIA, Week 3 Highlights

Pedro makes Celia nuts as he tries and then fails to distance himself from her. His other women – neither the captain's loose daughter nor his own long-suffering wife – can keep him from thinking about Celia. He makes Celia sit alone on the train ride back to Havana – in a train car where people of color must sit in the back – and later appears at her window and professes his love for her and admits he was lying about being Noris's boyfriend.

When Celia thought he no longer loved her, she didn't want any part of the contest. But now she regains her passion to sing. With her mother's help, she makes it to the stage and gives such an amazing performance that there is no doubt: she is the winner! Rogelio Martínez, the leader of La Sonora, is among her listeners and is more anxious than ever to have her audition for Myrta Silva's place in the orchestra.

Lola manages to tell both Marcos and Celia that Eliezer has been sexually abusing her ever since her mother died. She makes plans to run away with Marcos. Marcos bravely, but foolishly, confronts Eliezer, who then forces Marcos to sign and hand-deliver a letter to Lola in which he rejects her and calls her a liar. Then Eliezer murders his brother and drops his weighted body over a bridge.

Lola is left believing that Marcos has really abandoned her, and it is not long before she is back in Eliezer's house – and in his bed – again. Ugh.

Lola also competes in the singing contest. Although Eliezer has paid off the radio station guy so Lola will win, Celia's triumph is so obvious that Lola ends up with second place. To get Eliezer off his back, the radio guy names Lola as the vocalist with the station's orchestra.

Noris has been busy playing double games with Simón, Ollita, Celia and the guy at the radio station, but it all blows up in her face. Yes, she gets to compete in the contest, but after Lola and Celia, her performance looks pathetic and she is booed off the stage. She continues to do what she can to undermine Celia, threatening to out Pedro with her (Celia still thinks he's "Martín Leon") and sabotage Celia's audition with La Sonora.

Ollita finally tells off Simón and kicks him out of the house. Simón is furious that Celia defied him. (He actually forced his way into the radio station and tried to keep Celia from singing and was arrested for his trouble!) His relationship with Noris seems creepier and creepier, with a definite flavor of incestuous attraction that Noris, of course, exploits. At this point, he is going to Holguín alone – let those useless women fend for themselves!

The rose is off the barbudo bloom. It looks as if these revolutionary heroes are exploiting the rather dim Alfredo, who has now jumped into the cause with both feet. Alfredo leads the barbudos to the captain and then personally gives the nasty little military man a beat-down.

Alfredo recognizes "Martín" as Pedro Knight and tries to tell Celia the truth about her suitor. She doesn't believe him.

Pedro has resolved to tell Celia the truth himself. Will he manage to do so without scaring her away from La Sonora? Stay tuned...

The death of Flag depicts a scenario that has occurred several times in my family, and I thought it was very realistically done complete with all the heartache.


And I loved the Science Project! another common household scene portrayed with
much verisimilitude. Excellent male bonding as well -- especially nice for Alex.

I'm glad my crazy week is over. I should have time this coming week to do a recap on both Monday and Thursday.

I don't know why they had to go with Flag dying. Plus it was sort of presented as the dog having died of heartbreak because of Luis' absence. I believe this could happen, but not as a result of one night's absence!

Felicia just drives me nuts. She horned in on the family scene of Luis being back. She made some lame comment about not getting so upset because it was the dog's time to go. Exactly the wrong thing to say at that moment. And she removed Adela from the picture. Adela really would be able to comfort Luis as they have been friends practically from the beginning, with the exception of a brief period of time when Luis wanted her gone because he feared his father would be harmed by the closeness to an ex-gang member. He kept her secret for a very long time.

I'm so glad that, as SpanProf said, Maria witnessed the whole confrontation with Adela and Rodrigo and didn't drive off when he kissed her which, as a telenovela veteran, I was expecting. This novela has less clichés than any I can remember.

I'm afraid EC is going to think it was Rodrigo who poisoned him, but hopefully his complete absence from the clubhouse for quite a while would exonerate him.

So, am I interpreting Willy's remarks to Feli correctly? They determined that the poison didn't get EC or Willy would have gotten a call. And now Willy thinks he's going to straight up kill him, perhaps shooting him, and take over the leadership of the gang? In what universe would Willy, forced into the gang by Rodrigo after he and his thug comrades tried to kill Carlos and Adela, rise to be the new leader?

Lastly, Willy is notable for his failed attempts to harm anyone!

Just re-read my last comment. Willy HAS been successful in harming the guys who got on top of his sister as part of her initiation. And, on that note, I find it very odd that they refer to what happened to Sharon as her bautismo.

when Luis blamed himself for Flags death, didn't Carlos go into an explanation about his 'perro gabacho', how smart he was, and how his work here was done, that it was his time to go, and he did it when no one was around when it would effect everyone the least...

I'm guessing here but I thought Willy poisoned Colmillo, so that he wouldn't be connected to his death and would then assume the lead, didn't Colmillo give him son Rod's number 1 job, and Willy isn't a fan of killing Colmillo outright because of the kickback from the 'clica'.

Erika de la Rosa is doing an excellent job as Felicia, absolutely despicable, but wait, Colmillo won't hurt her will he?

did Susi make a deal with Deb to drop Luis in exchange for not being deported,
to France?

loved how Maria has such a good command over her kids, ya know Rod and Mati.

mister Jacob should write Mati's story, may even be a telenovela some day.
