Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #60 Mon 11/16/15 (Mex 87-88) Los ricos también sufren. . .de la estupidez!

Ciao, Peeps!  Well, here's tonight's action and, in true Patio fashion, y'all should feel free to fill in because there was a lot of business talk tonight and I'm kinda wobbly on that stuff.  Anywho, here goes.  There was some jumping around so I have combined scenes and hope it's coherent.  Freddie hears Fiorella tell Simoneta that while she doesn't want to return to Pedro, because he's engaged, she is not sure she wants to marry Vittorio either.

Julieta tells Sergio she's going to Italy, Rome to be exact, with Santino Orsini.  Sergio is immediately jealous and thinks he should go with her but Julieta nixes the idea.

Freddie reports back to Dante about Fiorella and Gianna moving back into El Rancho.  She directs this little plotting session:  the goal is to keep Pedro away from Aitana AND Fiorella so that he can suffer the way she suffered when her Father died (kinda of an "off" comparison, but this is Freddie), and she wants to make sure Fifi marries Vitto so as to be rid of the opportunistic Italian heffa!  The first step is Dante's telling Eloisa about the hospital room Pedro has set up.  He trots off like a dutiful bull dog.

Gael looks happy for once but Granny flags him down and tries to give him the third degree on Gianna.  He is saved by the cell phone bell and leaves.  Sergio walks up and tells Granny about Gianna being in the hospital and how proud she should be of how wonderfully kind he's been to her.  and then he leaves.  Granny tries to go after Gael to rip him another one but is intercepted by Dante who pulls her aside and shows her the girls' bedroom which is fully outfitted like a hospital room.  Granny sends for Petey right away!

Meanwhile Freddies stops into La Dolce Vita to tell Vittorio that she heard Fiorella say she is cancelling their wedding to fight for Pedro.  He makes sure Vitto knows about the medical room as well.  Vitto rumbles that he has done everything he can think of to win her love.  Freddie has what she thinks is a brilliant plan:  he should fake a terminal illness.  She is sure Fiorella would never abandon him in his time of need and would feel obligated to marry him.  Vitto mulls it over.

Granny grills Petey about the hospital room.  They go back and forth, she doesn't want them there, he does.  Petey then drives what he thinks is a hard deal:  Either the girls move back to the ranch or he'll cancel his engagement to Aitana.  He's so proud of himself he even repeats it more forcefully, eyes blazing as much as he can manage.  Granny "gives in" but her price is he must give her a wedding date TODAY!  Petey looks flummoxed:  out foxed by Granny again!

In other action at the ranch, Benni has filled Roxi's room with balloons and flowers.  I guess this is to make her feel better for having been accused of provoking Gianna's attack (which she did) and not getting credit for saving her life.  Anyway, Roxi is thrilled with the cursi-ness of it all and rewards Benni, and herself, with a little afternoon delight:  her first!  Quina breaks into the afterglow with a bundle of dry cleaned clothes.  She knocks and then unlocks the door when she doesn't get an answer.  Benni grabs his rags and jumps out her bedroom window just in time for Simoneta to get an eyeful and him to be teased loudly.  Later in the day Benni is eating with Quina, Simoneta and Fidel.  Somehow Benni's love life comes up and Simoneta teases him again about his leaving Roxi's room in the middle of the day.  Quina goes all mother bear and tells him to stay in his lane: he's a chauffeur and has no business in Roxi's room!  Later Quina enters Roxi's room and tries to give her some advice about "relating" to men.  Roxi soundly dresses her down and puts her out.

Fidel, Quina, Simoneta and Benni welcome Gianna home with huge floral and balloon bouquets.  Dante comes in and tries to piss on the party.  They ignore him.  Benni gets a text and runs off for the roll in the hay with Roxi. Quina follows and interrupts the reverie.  They lamely claim to be looking for an earring and go back at it as soon as Quina leaves.  Quina, honey, that ship has sailed!

Granny informs Aitana the girls are moving back in.  Aitana goes bonkers, Granny says to calm down, time to reel Pedro in on the matrimonial hook.

Gianna has been discharged from the hospital and is all tucked in and comfy.  Gael is there as well.  Gianna and Fiorella thank Pedro.  Pedro makes a call to Osvaldo who is in the office with Sonia on a computer.  Hmmm, rare sight.  Anyway, Pedro tries to give Osvaldo some last minute instructions about the sale of ACorp stock in the morning.  Pedro wants Osvaldo to carefully investigate all the buyers and be up on every detail of the sale.  Osvaldo very clearly blows Pedro off and mocks his concern.  Seems Pedro shoulda been at El Corporativo instead of baby sitting Fifi and Gigi!  Osvaldo hears Gael in the background and asks to speak to him.  He orders Gael to get into the office right away.  Once there, ASSvaldo tells Gael he knows all about his romance with the sickly little Italian girl and if he doesn't end it she could end up having a heart attack accidentally on purpose and he thumps Gael's chest for emphasis.  She can be a passtime, but forget about being serious about her.  Gael hangs his head and says ok!  Later, back at the ranch, Gael jacks Roxi up for telling Granny about him and Gianna.  They have a yelling match which Benni breaks up.

Fifi and Pedro remain in the room with a sleeping Gianna.  She thanks him again for all he's done.  The move in for a kiss but he places it on the side of her mouth instead and wishes her goodnight.  Vitto is waiting outside and the two growl at each other about who's the boss over Fiorella.  Pete wins cause it's his house and he forbids Vitto to enter the room.

Okay.  So here's the part I'm shaky on.  A bulletin comes over the TV that for the first time ever, the Angeles family will have to share control of the company.  Some mystery company with an unknown CEO has bought up all the stock ACorp was selling and is now the second biggest stockholder after the Angeles family.  Somebody's trying to ruin the Angeles!  Pedro yells at Assvaldo for not following his directive that all the stock not be sold at once.  Later Assvaldo rips into Fabio, accusing him of being in on the stock takeover which he denies.  He also accuses Sonia of having leaked information about the stock sale.  Fabio reminds them of how he just rejected their ridiculous offer to sink Pedro; he likes it's job, it's a great position, he's not about to sabotage his own livelihood.

Behind the scenes Granny talks with Benigno de la Riva Palma, Aitana's Father, who fakes concern for her plight and pretends to come to the rescue by buying up the stock from this mystery buyer:  if the Angeles have to share control of the company, at least it will be with a friend.

An emergency board meeting is called at El Corporativo to discuss the stock buy up.  Helloisa, Pedro, Fabio, Aitana, Freddie, Sonia and Assvaldo are there.  They don't spend much time on the stock situation, just to say they don't know who the buyer is but they will find out and he will pay for what he's done to them!  But then, there's "good news" to balance out the bad.  Pedro and Aitana will be married in two weeks time!  Whoa!  This is a news flash to the mismisimo Pedro and Aitana, too!  Looks like Benigno (Aitana's Father) and Granny set the date that afternoon!  Man, Pedro is exposed  in front of the whole family, his pale and flaccid character on display for all to see.  He gulps ineffectually.  Freddie thinks it's curious:  that's exactly when Fiorella and Vittorio are marrying.

Meanwhile, Fiorella is happily sweeping the floor in the employee's quarters kitchen.  She's got a secret to tell her good friend, Benni who has stopped by, still covered in hay.  She sits him down.  She has decided NOT to marry Vittorio!

Back at El Corporativo, the new partnership of Assvaldo and Sonia has to figure out what to do:  Pedro is still Granny's pet and soon will be marrying (and probably knocking up) Aitana.  They've got to get on Granny's good side and fast!  What to do?  That's it!  Find out who the mystery buyer is and tell Granny!  She'll REALLY like them then!  They'll make a list of who had to gain from the stock purchase.  Freddie enters the room.

Petey fusses at Granny for picking the same wedding date as Vitto and Fifi.  Granny waves him off.  What is important is that he'd better be good to Aitana because she is the salvation of the family business:  her Father is going to buy the shares from that bandit and become their most important partner.  Yesseree Bob!  If he is not good to Aitana the whole Angeles Empire will be in danger!  Do you get what has happened yet, Petey?  Can you feel that one's been broke off in ya cause Granny sure doesn't!

Assvaldo and Sonia try to craftily question Freddie about any strange goings on in ACorp when Granny enters the room with Benigno and Aitana.  They will need to make a permanent place for him:  he is their New Partner!  Freddie and Assvaldo exchange duhs.

Finally, Fidel gives Pedro some Fairy Godfatherly advice.  On one hand he wants to tell Pedro to tell Granny to take a hike and just run away with Fiorella but, alas, he is not a good example.  He tells Pedro not to make the mistake he did and give up the chance for love and a family.  "Don't let anyone decide your life; what you have to do, only you can decide."   Pedro says he has two weeks to decide and Fidel asks him if he needs that long.  Pedro goes off to get his forgotten phone but comes back just in time to hear Benni telling Fidel that Fiorella told him she is NOT going to marry Vittorio!  Pedro is like....WHAAAAT?

Thank you Lila for this very funny recap. Assvaldo is a monster. He literally told Gael that he is gonna provoke Gianna a heart attack if he doesnt finish his relation with her. Oh no, knowing gaels panic to assvaldo he will probably finish with gianna to protect her life. By the way Univision cut out a scene in which he was about to get drugged but roxana convinced him of not doing it. And other scenes where he was telling alina that assvaldo forced him to leave gianna and that when they were kids assvaldo always hitted him and destroyed his toys if he didnt do what he said. He also told her that one day in a horse race he fell from the horse so his dad was very angry and he hitted him when they got to the house and assvaldo was only laughing at gael.

Lila, another fantastic recap. I was lost through a great deal of this and you painted the picture perfectly.

"He trots off like a dutiful bull dog", "Petey looks flummoxed: out foxed by Granny again!" and "Pedro is exposed in front of the whole family, his pale and flaccid character on display for all to see" were among many favorites. You certainly cut to the core of how Pedro is perceived. Well done.

"he should fake a terminal illness". While the idea makes me nauseous, I have to hand it to Freddie. The lie might be the only way to entice Fiorella to the alter. Devious yet creative.

"Roxi soundly dresses her down and puts her out". Poor Quina! Even though Roxi tolerates Quina somewhat better than others, her nasty spewing must cut Quina's heart into shards.

"Gael hangs his head and says ok!". Oh no...I was very upset when I read he was going to do what Assvaldo insisted until I read your input Marla. Thank you. I momentarily forgot how abusive Os was to Gael as a child. I'm also sure he's complying to ensure Gi's safety as much as his own.

So two weeks, huh? Hmmm. Pedro should get busy planning and plotting. Not sure how he will get out of this with the hawklike Eloisa one step in front of him.

Thank you Lila!

Diana

Grazie, Lila. This was a great one.

I know it would run contrary to the tone of this novela but when the revelation comes that Joqauina is Rox's birth mother I'd love to see Quina tell her off: "I hate the sort of person you've become. You are despicable and because of how you've treated me and how I've seen you treat others I never want to see you again." To be followed by her resignation and departure with Fidel, who starts a business with his savings and a little loan from Pedro.

Federica neglected to tell Vittorio that if he fakes a serious illness he (at least theoretically) won't be able to consummate his marriage to Fiorella. If this goes that far that should be amusing.

Buongiorno, buenos dias and top o' the mornin' to y'all!

Mille grazie, Marla! Yes, Assvaldo IS a monster! Thank you for the deleted scenes: it's heartbreaking just to hear about it! Too bad Gael doesn't have an ethical and professional therapist because she now has joined the ranks of his tormentors along with Ass boy because that's how Gael will take it when he finds out Alina had an affair with Assvaldo. Oh my, it doesn't look good for poor Gael!

Grazie tanto, Diana! I love your grudging admiration of Freddie's scheme. She has taken Fiorella's principles and twisted them into a scheme to hook Vitto and get Fiorella out of her hair. She may be crazy but she ain't stupid! That more fits Pedro, Assvaldo and Granny for letting this theft happen. Heck, Grannie is complicit! Freddie ought to be able to figure out the stock swindle pretty quickly!

Diana, I think they saved us all a lot of gut-churning anger with the editing. I want Assvaldo to get an anvil NOW!

Urbanita! Grazie! I LOVE your scenario with Quina and Roxi. Roxi is such a bitch to Quina! Do you think they will try to have Benni's good lovin' softening her hateful, classist heart?

HA! about the non-consumation clause in Freddie's plan! I'm sure Vitto will think about it, reject the plan and go for something more dastardly!

I'm not sure Vittorio will think of any alternative with only two weeks to go unless it involves a kidnapping. Or a threat to Gianna's life.

BTW, this was about the halfway mark of the series. Tonight we are over the hump.

Well, we shall see! I think the show is preempted for the Latin Grammy's Thursday, isn't it?

Hi, Lila. Thanks as always for your great recaps, your insight, and your humor.

I actually hope that Vit goes along with Freddie's fatal illness plan, and am wondering how that will play out. I wonder if Dr. Lefty can be rented for this purpose. I think it would be funny if Fi said, "I don't trust him; he almost killed Gi. I am taking you to Dr. XXX for a second opinion."

Another option would be if Vit went to a Dr., and that Dr. came in and said, "Well, you have a massive inoperable tumor on your (pick your favorite organ)."

Vit has already admitted that he will use whatever means necessary to get Fi to marry him. The difference now is that Ben's dad knows his mindset and may be able to intervene.

Granny thinks she is such a wise captain of industry, but is making more mistakes than Osvaldo.

David

David! Fratello! Mille grazie, so good to see you, my friend! Any of your different scenarios on the fake illness thing would be a hoot -- "pick your favorite organ"! HA!

Yes, Vitto is getting desperate and I am glad he shared that with Reynaldo, that's an important point! Diana must surely smell Vitto's desperation; I'm rooting for her to take her own drastic means to rope Vitto in. Have no idea what that would be but if Vitto's plan involves taking Fifi back to the Keebler Crack House Diana could come in handy to foil that plan!

Yah. Granny is screwing up big time. What happened to her fragile ticker or whatever it was? Healthy old broad, ain't she? Faking fragility is probably a major tool in her own bag of tricks!

Thank you Lila! " Benni gets a text and runs off for the roll in the hay with Roxi." Loved this because it was so literal last night. I gotta say, I am not digging the direction on this show; this scene was way corny and just made me feel awkward.

Last night I wavered between extreme annoyance and boredom. The episode was already obviously a collage of chopped up capitulos to begin with and then to have to deal with Eloisa, Federica and Rox? UGH!!! I had a hard time not FFding through the entire episode. Thank God for Lila's recap!

I realized there's not a single character on this show that I really like (ok, I'll exclude Gael and Fidel from that. Sergio and Julieta aren't the worst, but they're "eh" for me).

UA - I wish Quina would say that now, but she won't and she probably won't then either. Everyone will find out the truth, Rox will reject her, horrified at her "low" birth, and then she'll eventually come around and then everyone will cry and hug and it'll be fine. I don't know why I have such disgust for the tantrum throwing, childish characters, but they really piss me off! I think it's because they don't get anvils. Everyone just forgives them like they haven't been acting like jackasses for 90% of the TN. Everyone is endlessly understanding and no one tells them that they shouldn't treat people that way, nor are they ever treated as badly so that they can see how it feels. I find this SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Ok, I promise to try not to rant about this every single episode.

I don't think Vitto has thought that his make believe illness will put into question their potential future intimacies, but I think Fiorella will jump on that like a lifeboat as an excuse not to sleep with him.

Part of me is glad they cut things, but the other part is confused now. Was Pedro at the stock meeting? If Aitana's father has enough money to buy all of those shares, why are they so desperate for her to hook Pedro? It sounds like Ass somehow did something that facilitated the stock market fiasco, so did they cut out a scene with Eloisa ranting about Ass being an idiot, and if so WHY??? (I would've wanted to see that!) Why do Sonia and Assvaldo move so daggone much when they talk? Does Assvaldo ever talk like a normal human, or can he only breathe deeply, growl and yell? Why does Eloisa think that a board meeting is the correct place to announce her grandson's wedding (which she did before Aitana's dad joined the board)? Why was Aitana at a board meeting anyway? How in God's name has Pedro not hit his limit yet? Is Quina really using the classist "know your place" argument on Ben? (Really, Quina? That's so...Eloisian). What did Pedro ever do to Federica that his role in this cover up doesn't deserve a little bit more research? Why am I asking these questions like I'm expecting sense?

Sigh. I hope it is preempted on Thursday because I might have to jump ship on this one, it's so annoying. Maybe a break will help.

Amazing Lila. You did a great job with all the "stuff" last night--business and otherwise.

I mean, my lord, were they handing out the stupid pills last night or what? And, yes, this bunch, minus Gael, deserves every last hit up the head and shock they will get. That goes for Petey too. Good lord, what a STOOOPID galan and CEO. Why the blazes would he entrust Asshat with anything that important?? I couldn't even.

And the fact that Eloisa just stepped in to the lion's den, and she is no Daniel, almost made me smile. Woman, you don't know what you just got conned into. Boy will I ever enjoy her fall.

If Fi falls for the Vitto ill speil and with the crap doctor in tow, whatever. I swear I'm so tired of every time one of these two plans to walk away from their viper, something happens. Like every other day. The fact this TN has a long way to go scares the bejeebees out of me with where this is all going.

I was totally indifferent to the whole Rox/Ben stuff.

Gael needs a hug. And a one way ticket out of that house and maybe Gianna can go somewhere, not the ranch, not Vitto's where she can get the care she needs. Don't like where any of that is headed and Asshat just got a dart in the face and a supersized anvil ordered after that threat last night. Man, he's digusting. And stop with the deep sniffs!!

Daisynjay

Lila girl, this is gettin inter-resting. You done good. Im glad this Is happening so granny can See, you don't be friends with someone just Cuz they swim in the same pond with you. They Could be sharks in disguise, which is the case With her choice for peteyboy. These people Are about to take the whole company from Them, cuz they stole from gabriel. See what Goes around comes back around and bites ya in The but. And it hurts a whole lot more. And That is helliosa's fault. That ol lady is crooket and shes Fixin to get hers. Its always the one You trust the most that stabs you through the heart. And she put her heart into that ol Hairy heffa. I really do understand freddie being mad For what they did to her dad, but she got hers comin too.
Poor petey and fifi, with they little bobble heads. They got storms to go through but I think they'll make it, after much heartach.

Mille grazie, all! Catch up with y'all once I get off from work! Carry on!

I get the frustration with this.

I certainly hope Fiorella jumps on the lifeboat that this fake diagnosis will provide. In fact, wouldn't the Church back her up on this if the marriage can't be consummated? This story needs a smart priest.

The Roxanas of TNs will escape serious anvilage because of their youth and because this isn't LSDP or anything in between. When Isabela of MCET escaped prison for the many crimes she committed I was mad enough to chew neutronium.

I thought about Aitana's family's finances and you're right; they have to be well off to even consider doing anything like this. While her mother doesn't look like she spends the kind of money on stuff that Sonia does, it could just be pure, naked greed. Her father looks like he gets off on these situations so I'm sure this is not only not the first but that he has no intention of it being the last, either.

Helloisa has serious boundary issues as in she doesn't see that other people have the right to having boundaries. This is the trap she sprung on Pedro. He can't wiggle out of this one in that boardroom without appearing to be far less than a gentleman. Fabio should really consider whether he wants to continue to work there.

Joaquina doesn't like the idea of her little girl fooling around. I don't know that any other guy would pass inspection with her at this stage. The bottom line is that Roxana is very immature and Joaquina knows it. She feels guilty even though she hasn't been in any position to do anything about this.

As for Federica, Pedro is an easy target because he was Helloisa's pet for so long. I think her father died intestate and she was menor de edad at the time, which left her at the mercy of Helloisa's antiquated thinking. I'm amazed Helloisa didn't try to stick her into a convent.

Great recap, as always, Lila. And bless you for your double duty week after week. I'm needing a break from this show and its endless backtracking, but not from your wonderful recaps.

Dante "trots off like a dutiful bulldog" was a great picture. Diana and I always end up liking the same lines.

And Pedro..."his pale and flaccid character on display for all to see".

Perfect. Hard to get excited about these two (Fiorella and Pedro) with so much waffling and shilly-shallying around. Give me some honesty, some courage, some guts...something to get excited about. These characters are all annoying at the moment.

I still like Benny's Mom but Lord! I wish they would change her hairstyle! She's a great comedienne but that coiffure disaster is needlessly distracting. As for the rest, you can have 'em. Even dear Gael, he's just a little too victimy for my taste. The character he's playing in Pasion y Poder has a bit more starch, thank goodness.

Hope your virus is getting better Lila. I've had this cold for close to 5 weeks....waaaay too long. Hopefully a visit to the ENT tomorrow will put me on the path to healing.

Lila - Thank you for the recrap!!! It was a fun read and I'm getting ready to watch this episode now, over lunch.

"The Roxanas of TNs will escape serious anvilage " OMG, Urban ... "anvilage" .... I just love that! It has a certain ... truthiness to it.

So if Vitto declares he has a terminal illness, maybe Diana could step up and declare she is pregnant! Wouldn't matter if it's a lie because he is supposed to die and she could inherit everything. Truth or Consequences ...

Eh, flaccid Pedro, great choice of words because I think it applies to him in every aspect. (wink/grin)

Benny & Rox have to end up together or they wouldn't be playing this storyline out. With my track record of predictions, this would mean they never see each other again. LOL

Thank you Lila you never disappoint.

"Seems Pedro shoulda been at El Corporativo instead of baby sitting Fifi and Gigi!"

I'm exhausted this thing is so dumb, but hey it did give me a distraction wondering how hard it would be to pick all that hay from Roxy's hair.

I'll be more sweet to Roxy for it's probable she is Max's daughter and Petey's aunt, so what Joqauina is her mother.

Sergio you silly fool, of course nothing will happen when Julieta travels alone to Rome and together with the love of her life search for their child. He's probably fat and bald now anyway.

He's probably fat and bald now anyway.

That could be, and it would be funny. Since there was a younger actress playing Julieta in the flashbacks there is likely to be an older actor as Santino if they show him as he is now.

I don't think Diana is likely to get pregnant now; she doesn't seem like a woman who'd make that mistake twice. It's too much of a gamble at this point. Her best bet would be to arrange to be caught en flagrante delicto with Vittorio (although we should only see Fiorella's reaction shot to spare our eyes) so Fiorella could break the engagement on the spot and threaten to ruin his rep over it if he doesn't make "an honest woman" of Diana.

Daisy - that seemed a little ooc to me too. When Pedro called Ass, he was talking about a stock meeting that was happening the next day. Why did he miss it? Fi and Gi were in the house, so it's not like he was picking them up from the hospital. The only way I make sense of it is if Eloisa stepped in and this was some kind of punishment.

UA - I think Pedro could wiggle out of a lot more if he wasn't constantly gobsmacked about the things his g-mother does. In the board room, he probably has his best chance of wiggling out of things because Eloisa's not only in front of family and runs the risk of showing herself to me the insane egomaniac she really is. Pedro should've just laughed and said "Hahaha! Ay abuela! Thanks for the laugh! We all needed it in the face of this news. But I think Aitana and I can handle the planning for our wedding, no te preocupes. But in fact, I think we all really need to focus on this stock issue, so I don't think we should even talk about planning until we get it sorted out."

I'm not surprised Quina resists the idea of Roxana sleeping with someone, but somehow I was offended with her argument that Ben should "know his place." What? 1) What "place" exactly? 2) You know Rox is a horror show, right? You'd best feel lucky she found someone that could stand her butt for more than five minutes at a time.
If we could get beyond the "we'll fight for our love!" to "this is what we should do: [insert plan]" then we could all watch this show without smacking our heads in disbelief.

Upon watching Roxi dress down Quina, in this episode, I wonder if Maximo was a big jerk, just like her. Clearly the guy was no angel but this side of Roxi's personality might be hereditary.

I'm still of the mind that Hair on a Stick's father has it out for the family for just another Max business deal that was not on the up and up. Good point doris, that if Eloisa is the heartless money-grubber we know and...well we know, Max may have been just the same in his business dealings. Frankly, I find the way he brought Rox and Quina into the household rather cowardly. The fact Quina plays into that wanting her daughter to continue to be the spoiled brat she is just so can stay in the money, WTH? if you don't let her take her rightful place in the family, oh, don't get me started.

Ironic that this great love of Pedro has him so unfocused, his spinelessness in fessing up to Grams and her cash, that he's not even paying attention to what the blazes is going on with this business that everyone is so hell-bent to keep going. I vote to have them lose the whole thing and then they all have to go schlep somewhere else for jobs. Who is qulaified, and who is not??? That would be fun actually.

Daisynjay

Caught up ... With MIVAC and Jane the Virgin.

Atiana's hair looked bigger and more seaweedy then ever. Wouldn't surprise me if a kitten was living in it.

Daisynjay - ITA. They would all benefit from being out out on the street and having to find real jobs and live
Ike normal people. And scrub Granny Clampett's floors and cement ponds. She would straighten out that lot.

OT re: JtV ... Rogelio grateful for "health and hair" was LOL. I wonder if Kate del Castillo is done now with her cameos. She is great.

.

I still fully believe that Federica will eventually kick the whole lot of them out, Fiorella('s postition as Julieta's daughter) will be their saving grace and then Eloisa will finally have to learn not to condemn a book based on its bank account.

So many logical ways to make this better, all of them apparently ignored by the writing team when crafting the plot.

I also still think the Pedro thing was really vague (which, admittedly, might be because of the editing). They didn't explain why Pedro wasn't at this meeting, there was only a vague reference to Fabio about how Ass screwed things up, and it's only served to make this whole thing with Aitana's family weirder because where did they get the money to buy the stock if they need Aitana to marry Pedro to get money? Is this whole plot just payback for Pedro not taking Aitana back years ago? Because if we understand the story so far, she's the one that officially left, so if anything she should've come out on top, socially, no?

Doris, it would have to be a black widow spider. Kittens have the sense to run away from Cousin Itt. She looks like she would eat them.

As to her parents fleecing the Angeles family, I don't think they need a motive beyond pure naked greed. As to how this forces Pedro to marry her, I doubt that Helloisa wants to ultimately lose the controlling interest of the company.

Whoa! What a day! Almost time for the next show. Mille grazie veramente: Hellashelle, Daisynjay, Nina, JudyB, Doris, Tofie!

I feel y'all about the absolute idiocy of leaving Ass boy in charge of this very important sale of stock. Absolutely asinine! And yah, Assvaldo's huffing and puffing is getting on my last nerve. I wish somebody would just stick a pin in his puffed up ass and watch him fly all over the room and then collapse in a heap. Frickin' jerk off!

ITA with Nina, Granny's getting the company shafted in a way similar to how they shafted Gabriel.

Good points about why the de la Riva Palmas are even doing this if they have enough money to buy all that ACorp stock. Perhaps the money they're using for the purchase is acquired through some other shaft job.

JudyB, thank goodness if this isn't coming on Thursday night. We ALL need a break! Thank you for your well wishes Judy and I return them. Sending healing vibes)))))))))))).

Tofie, a bald and fat Italian stallion! Perish the thought! I didn't think they ever aged! ;D

Making my way through comments. . .

I vote to have them lose the whole thing and then they all have to go schlep somewhere else for jobs. Who is qulaified, and who is not??? That would be fun actually.--Daisynjay

Atiana's hair looked bigger and more seaweedy then ever. Wouldn't surprise me if a kitten was living in it.--Doris

Oh, gosh, the above is just funny as hey-yull! OMG, I can't stand it! Thanks!

Hella, honey, your frustration is palpable. Thinking about this gives me the kind of outraged, unbelieving shock that left me open-mouthed impactada and yelling at the tv during CI and TSTSNBN. Yes, it's come to that. The points you make are so logical and are such justified criticism I'm laughing out loud. Not at you, hon, but at these boneheads who crafted something so easily ripped to shreds! And it didn't have to be this way!!!

Gosh, I love you guys. You make this all worthwhile!

Lila - oh yes they "age" and not always well; Vitto is one example. Eek.

Lila, thank you for this recap. I swear I watched. And I was mostly paying attention. But I think I spend so much time screaming "WHAT?!" in my head that I miss a lot of stuff.

Also I get distracted by things like Fed wearing what looks like a blouse inspired by a rug, complete with fringe.

"Freddie has what she thinks is a brilliant plan: he should fake a terminal illness." I...uh...yeah, I'm with you on this. She thinks it's a brilliant plan.

"Benni grabs his rags and jumps out her bedroom window just in time for Simoneta to get an eyeful and him to be teased loudly." OK, seriously, is it in his contract that he has to end up mostly-naked a certain number of times before all this is over?

"his pale and flaccid character on display for all to see" BURN! So very, very true.

OK, I'm off to see what horrors await me on tonight's ep.

Lila thank you so much for this and also for Friday
I haven't been able to get here to read them till now, but better late than never
this
"Man, Pedro is exposed in front of the whole family, his pale and flaccid character on display for all to see. " - Ouch! But also mwaahaahahah

Ok I was shouting AMEN! when Fidel asked Pietro, with asperity, if he really needed that long to decide. Yeah Fidel bring on the tough love, or what passes for tough love in this tn.

The stuff w/Roxi and Beni seemed rushed, shouldn't that have been a bigger deal?

Urban said " Federica neglected to tell Vittorio that if he fakes a serious illness he (at least theoretically) won't be able to consummate his marriage to Fiorella." I hope we don't get that far, but if we do I hope somebody thinks of that!

Grazie tanto, Diva and sneaky two shoes! We've really become a support group and I appreciate y'all, whenever you come by. I gotta feeling there's gonna be a whole lot more shouting "whaaaat?!" at the tv.

*sigh*
