Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #63 Fri 11/20/15 (Mex 91-92) You Make Your Bed with a Cold, Pale, Wrinkled Bag of Bones; You Lay in It!
Remember that Sergio was telling Pedro that whenever Granny says so, they have to assume the position so he'd better make it to the chapel on time with Aitana. . .who bursts into the office with Julieta. She ignores Pete's anger at the lack of respect and insistence that he's got work to do. Petey darts out to take a call from Fiorella: He wants to run away with her, she says destiny is separating them again. She throws the phone and says it would've been best if they never met. All three convince Petey to adjust his priorities and the ladies herd Petey off to pick out rings and the wedding cake and other matrimonial frou frou, leaving Sergio in the office.
Freddie enters the office where Sergio has made himself comfy with a cigar and more than a shot of liquor. She pumps him for information about the relationship between her Father, Gabriel, and his Father, Maximo. It was bad, they were like water and oil and fought all the time; one would never know they were brothers! Once their Father died and the business was left to the two of them, they argued more than ever, especially about how to manage the business. Maximo ended up being the head hancho Freddie says, baiting Sergio, because he was brighter and more fit. Oh no, goes Sergio, your Father was very capable and talented; it was such a shame that he died. Yes, she adds, under suspicious circumstances; but she was very young and it was never clear to her what happened. Sergio thinks such rivalries are common: he had one between himself and his brother (the late) Osvaldo, Sr., and Gael and Osvaldo Jr. have the same rivalry. Sergio observes that he was never serious competition for his brother as far as the business was concerned, being the fun-loving type and all. [I feel like there should be some kind of alert here, but I'm not sure exactly about what. Any ideas?] Anyway, Sergio insists such rivalries are normal, yah, Freddie thinks it's all fun and games until somebody dies and it must've been hard for him when his brother died like it was when her Father died. We can hear the wheels in Freddie's head creaking down the same old rutted road.
We're taken right into a session between Gael and Alina. Gael did manage to find something happy to tell about his childhood. [PATERNITY ALERT!] He remembers his mother taking him to a park to play when he was little. There would always be a gentleman there who would bring him toys and presents and his Mother seemed so happy with the man. We see a flashback of a Gael who seems to be about 10 swinging, then the mystery man gives him a whole heap of presents and balloons and his Mother is all huggy with the nice man. Gael asked his Mother once who the man was and she said it was a distant cousin who didn't get along well with his Dad. Alina asks if Osvaldo was ever a part of these warm little scenes. Nope. To her question Gael answers that he didn't think this was strange given the other strange things his family does. Gael would like to thank him; Alina suggests Gael can look for the man and he looks stunned as I am that it has not occurred to him that this nice man could be his Father. I'll cut him some slack. Gael was apparently very happy during these little meetings in the park: why look a gift horse in the mouth to see if Daddy is inside!
Reynaldo and Adela are at La Dolce Vita and little Beto seems happy enough with him. They ask Diana if the marriage of Vitto and Fiorella is still on. Vitto comes out and answers in the affirmative. They express their sorrow for his diagnosis and Adela cries horrifyingly ugly! Diana excuses herself and we next see her at El Rancho where she has come to talk to Fiorella about Vitto's illness. Of course, it's right out in the open and Dante is listening in plain view. Diana does manage to get out that Vittorio is fine but Dante loudly interrupts the conversation, insisting that Helloisa wants to see her and he drags Diana away. Diana is promptly taken before Vitto where she is chewed out for almost busting Vittorio's lying terminal illness scheme. Freddie is there in Vitto's office as well, instigating, and I want to slap her more than Diana does. Diana claims to want to save Vitto from the pain of marrying someone who doesn't love him. Well, that's HIS problem and if she tries such a stunt again, she will be kicked out of the restaurant and out of his life forever!
Later, we see Diana at home with her Mom and little Beto when a call comes in. It's Beto's Dad! Aaaand, this is left hanging.
Later still, Diana opens Vitto's files and takes out a white envelope with a simple message in cursive: "Para mi hija, Fiorella." For my daughter, Fiorella.
In other action at the ranch, Benito helps sneak Gianna into the Big House where she and Gael smooch and he temporarily agrees to be her secret-on University Campus-novio. Granny barges into the room and Gigi has to dive under the bed. Granny jacks him up as only she can. He denies having taken drugs because of the little Italian tart. She reminds him he's an Angeles and must honor his name: he is good and noble. She threatens him not to provoke her with disobedience or she'll let loose a rope of flames from the end of her cane. Well, she might as well have said that. Gigi pops out from under the bed, he calls off the secret novio thing, she calls him a coward and flounces out. Later he goes to see her in her room. He tells her he is afraid that "they" would kill her if she and he are together. Gianna seems to think this is poetic and adds a verse of her own: her heart is in danger when they're apart. Awww, that's sweet, but Gael knows the Angeles play hard ball so he tells her NO again, he refuses to put her at risk, and leaves!
Benito and Quina face off over her meddling in his and Roxi's love life. I think Quina is pissed because Benito could screw up Roxi's inheritance. Benni demands she has no right to stick her nose in something that's between him and Roxi. She argues that she's got the right because she's the Boss Lady of the employees and he shoots back that she is NOT part of Roxi's family and she says Roxi IS part of her family! Da-da-dahhhhnn! Fidel hears and is like, say WHAAAT? The suspense doesn't last long. After the commercial Quina is sitting down with Fidel and Benito and plays it off as she has been with Roxi since she was a little baby and she feels AS IF Roxi is part of her family. And if Beni does anything to hurt her, he has HER to deal with and she flounces off!
Now. Check this out! Assvaldo, Sonia and Fabio continue trying to figure out what happened in the stock swindle. Fabio demands more files to examine as he wants to retrace exactly how the transaction went down. Fabio concludes that Benigno de la Riva Palma pulled it off: he is the mastermind of the whole thing, having set up a ghost company to buy up the stock and then came in as a supposed benevolent friend of the Angeles family and rescuer, "buying" the stock back from his own phantom company. But who tipped him about the stock sale in the first place? Sonia actually is the first one to think of it and say it: Aitana! Fabio and Sonia want to expose her and Benigno to Helloisa and Pedro but Ass boy has a different idea. A bit later we see what that idea is: he proposes to Benigno that they work together to blend his company and ACorp and Assvaldo should be made the CEO of the new entity. Benigno doesn't like Assvaldo's threatening tone, dammit. Well, Assy offers, Benigno won't like being on Helloisa's shit list, either! It's a draw. For now.
Sergio busts Dante and Freddie kissing. Yah. They did that to us.
Now, back to the whole fake illness thing and that lying geezer, ancient Mack Daddy, Vittorio Dragone. Rey talks to him and reminds him of having said he'd do ANYTHING to get to Fifi. . .is he making up the illness? Vitto claims to have a terminal, inoperable brain tumor and offers Rey the test results. Rey declines: he believes Vitto.
RPC: Fiorella and Pedro meet in the garden. Be happy. Marry Aitana. I HAVE to marry Vitto. Pedro wants to wait, I guess for the old coot to kick the bucket but finally gives in to Fifi's pleas to build his happiness with Aitana. Fidel has a sit down with Pedro and tells him the same thing. He can't have Fiorella, go for Aitana, blah, blah, blippety blah. [Fidel shouldn't complain if there are a chorus of crickets at his table tonight.]
Helloisa has a sit down with Fiorella. It starts out seeming as if The Granny from Hell is concerned about Fiorella who shares that she's worried about Vittorio's illness. As smoothly as you please, Helloisa informs her he is sick from all the grief she's put him through while running after her grandson. "Love is built on a firm foundation, not a stupid dream. You ought to be grateful to Vittorio who is giving you a chance in life you never could have had. Don't defraud him. Do you want to spend the rest of your life under the shadow of having caused his death?"
Next we see Petey sucking up to Aitana, asking her forgiveness for his shoddy treatment while he was temporarily bewitched by that Italian wench. Well. He might as well have said that. Will she help him build a life of happiness? Oh, you know her answer!
Fifi goes to church and prays to Saint Biagio and lights three candles: One for Gianna for the strengthening of her heart and a happy, healthy life like other young people her age; one for Viottorio because she feels so badly that he is sick and that she made him suffer so; a third for Pedro that he will be very happy with Aitana and forget about her. She promises that if he cures Vitto, she will never, never in life get near Pedro again.
Finally, Fiorella is sitting with Vitto who has not bothered to google symptoms of inoperable, malignant brain tumor. He coughs and holds his side. Fiorella offers to call the Dr. No need. A glowing Aitana and Pedro enter offering condolences for his illness and apologies for missing his upcoming wedding. Congratulatory smacks on the cheek are exchanged. Pedro whispers to Fiorella that he hopes she and Vittorio will be very happy.
Yah. That's it.

Maybe Diana will finally do something useful. . .wonder what's in that letter she found? That's worth waiting to see.
Okay. Have at it! Gotta go put on the feed bag!
"I feel like there should be some kind of alert here, but I'm not sure exactly about what. Any ideas?" None from me. I had the same feeling, that somehow the conversation was important, but I have no idea how. He was bolstering Fed's suspicions, but I don't really think he had any solid information.
"Gael was apparently very happy during these little meetings in the park" Well, damn! I wasn't expecting that. I thought he'd have a breakdown over having NO happy childhood memories at all.
"Freddie is there in Vitto's office as well, instigating, and I want to slap her more than Diana does." I'm getting in line behind you! But also, I'm disappointed with Diana once again. Ya basta with all the "I have something to tell you" just spit it out already!
"It's Beto's Dad! Aaaand, this is left hanging." Like my jaw! I thought we'd never find out who he was!
"For my daughter, Fiorella." Was it opened? Was it sealed? Does Vitto know what's inside? How will I survive until Monday?!
"Granny barges into the room and Gigi has to dive under the bed." Interrupting the one happy moment of the episode. Thanks a lot, ya creep!
"Be happy. Marry Aitana." Seriously, dude, she knows those two things are in direct opposition to each other, right? I can't even with her.
"Fidel shouldn't complain if there are a chorus of crickets at his table tonight." Word.
OK, I tried not to quote the entire recap. I failed. Who can blame me? Thanks again, Lila :D
I admit that the letter to Fiorella is about the closest to excitement-inducing I can see at this point. It probably is something that will make it clear that marriage to old, dried up Vitto was NOT a part of his plan or expectation AND something about her parentage!!
Hey! What if Vitto was telling her that Julieta is her mother and wanted old Vitto to make sure she was reunited with her? What do y'all think is in that letter?
Wait, that's too mild...
No way could Mario have anticipated that Vitto would blackmail his daughter into marrying him.
I think that's the best guess--it's Mario's explanation of who Fi's bioparents are and how it was that he and Mrs. Mario ended up raising her. Was it something he sent along with that letter to Vitto before he died? If Vitto's been sitting on it all this time, I'm going to guess he's never opened it and forgot he had it in the first place. Not 'cause I think he's a nice guy, just that he's so self-centered.
Or, you know, the writers are making things up as they go along!
Great recap, Lila. Full of snarky zingers and a fun read
I have to be honest and tell y'all that during one of the flashback scenes where Gael's father was mistreating him, I wondered if Os Sr. might not be his his bio dad and the suspicion or knowledge was behind it.
Terri, Aitana's hair gets bigger with every episode.
There is a certain element of relief in that Gi/Gael are not pledging to FFTL. Yeesh.
No way could Mario have anticipated that Vitto would blackmail his daughter into marrying him. Absolutely. Even if she wasn't Mario's bio-child he would have never done this. As to whether Vittorio ever read this, I guess we'll find out pretty soon.
More another time; I'm wiped.
Good night folks. I dont know if you all but I enjoyed seeing Assvaldo threatening Benigno. Oh yeah now Aitana and her lovely daddy are in Assvaldos hands, oh well it would be better that he tells pietro the truth but oh is Assvaldo. He is gonna try to take advantage and climb in the company with this information. He indeed learned very well grandmas manipulation techniques.
Talking about Helloisa, she is getting on my nerves. Blaming Fiorella for vittorios supposed sickness was so nasty. And if she was already untolerable messing fiorella and pietros love, now that she is also messing with gianna and gael i am hoping that freddie gives her what she deserves.
Oh for Gael it would be a relief if he is not An Angeles. He has never felt part of that family and he is so different from them. Oh but in that case, he still would be assvaldos brother unless that he was adopted no.
ITA, Diva, with your guess of what's in the letter. Yah, being hell bent on getting the pretty young thing as his legal sex slave, he probably never opened the letter. I guess we should be glad there wasn't a scene where the old coot threw it away. Of course, if that happened it would be found later.
How much you bet Vitto doesn't bust her before she can get the letter out of the safe? This crew is most talented at frustrating plot turns. . .and making things up as they go!
Doris! Grazie, amica fedele! You are right, it seemed so clear when Ass Sr. was mistreating little Gael that he must not be his bio son. Gael's innocence is amazing, isn't it?
Grazie, Urbanita! Hopefully, we'll find out about the letter on Monday. See ya later!
Hey, Marla! Nasty piece of work that Helloisa! Again, I ask. What happened to her delicate health? She was more fragile at the beginning of this thing. It seems she gets stronger the more she manipulates, pressures and threatens her family! She's an emotional vampire gaining strength by sucking the life blood out of her own offspring!
Can anybody tell me what happened to Fiorella seeing Vitto and Diana sucking face? She never did anything with that, did she?
Sergio needs to get his act together. It also seems inconsistent that Helloisa put up with his playboy ways all these decades. I'm actually surprised she has allowed him to live at the ranch at all.
I truly wish we could get stats on whether this whole "I found out I was adopted after my parents died" thing is the norm anywhere in the real world. We have possibly two exampltes of this in MIVAC, one in YNCELH, one brewing in Poder. I googled this last week but couldn't find stats of any kind. There are articles with personal stories such as this one in the Manchester Guardian which point to how wrong it is to withhold this information. To find this out as an adult has to feel like the rug got pulled out from under.
Thank you for the gift of laughter today. Another clever and delightful recap. As you noted Kat "What a crappy episode. And a fabulous recap!" Amen.
"We can hear the wheels in Freddie's head creaking down the same old rutted road" and "why look a gift horse in the mouth to see if Daddy is inside!" were among my favorites.
To answer your question, I might be wrong, but I don't think they really showed Fi's reaction to seeing Vitto and Diana kissing. Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Os, Sonia and Fabrio. What an unholy triumvirate. I expect to see witch and warlock paraphernalia, with potions brewing and spells being cast.
So who's your daddy seems to be the question of the day for Beto and Gael. Possible intriguing stories behind both paternities.
"Adela cries horrifyingly ugly" - oh my heavens, how true! It appears she and Rey have genuine sadness for "old, dried up Vitto". Sigh.
No real romance tonight - more's the pity. Frankly, I want to give Fiorella a large "Moonstruck" slap and say "pull out of it". At this point, I fear she and Petey are getting what they deserve.
Thanks again Lila!
Diana
"We can hear the wheels in Freddie's head creaking down the same old rutted road"
No way Mario would have ever believed Fio would take serious an offer of marriage by Vitto and give him the prize between her thighs.
As the super sleuths dug into the stock transaction I wondered why Petey never attempted, then just as quickly shut that thought down.
I do have an emotional attachment to a pair, Gael and Gianna, and it's heartbreaking to see them apart. The actors do a great job and I believe they care for each other.
Ok, Diana, I didn't think we saw any aftermath of Vitto and Diana getting busted kissing. They just ignored the whole thing! Sheesh!
Oooo, this is delish AND so true:
Os, Sonia and Fabrio. What an unholy triumvirate. I expect to see witch and warlock paraphernalia, with potions brewing and spells being cast.
And yes, both Beto and Gael are in a "who's your daddy" drama! I'm interested in this AND the letter from Mario which is also a "who's your daddy story". That would have been a great title as well.
At this point, I fear she and Petey are getting what they deserve.
Amen, sorellina!
The "shock" switch ups grow with every episode, but our brilliant Caray sleuths were suspecting much of this all along. Good job all! I'm still of the mind that all the good folks in that rotten family have a parent that is not of the family. out.
For Gael, that explained the virtual hatred his father felt for him. He either knew or suspected Gael was not his. The horror that the child had to be virtual abused growing up though is cringe worthy. Again, a mother bullied to stay for what? Money again? Eloisa in on it and badger the woman?
Same for Petey's mother. Something wasn't right there either. So much for honoring the Angeles name if we find out these guys aren't related at all. LOVE IT!! Eloisa can let Os Jr. have it all and watch it go down in flames.
Of course, gees, do we now have to root for Sonia and Os in taking Hair on A Stick and her father down? doris, yeah her hair gets bigger (or the extensions). Maybe the more evil she gets, the longer her hair is. By the end, she'll be a walking mop.
Ok, brain children, who coughs constantly with a BRAIN tumor. And again, Fiorella the Gullible...you do NOT have to marry the guy!! Feel bad for him, offer to care for him. That's enough of a sacrifice. Vitto deserves to fall in a boiling vat of pasta sauce for this ruse.
I had to take a short walk from the Fidel table last night. And again with the money means all. Quina would rather her daughter inherit money than find love. Ok then.
At least we got a G&G hug since the only 'romance" we got was Lurch and Fred. Cripes
Daisynjay
I have no doubt Eloisa was in on the bullying of Gael's mother. Assvaldo Sr. was surely a tyrant to both her and little Gael. Maybe Gael's mother was of blue blood but fell for a blue collar man who showed her the love and affection she wasn't getting from Assvaldo Sr. If this is true, Helloisa was probably part of the pressure for her to stay with Assvaldo Sr., you know the whole avoid the scandal of divorce thing. Now. Do you think Helloisa knew that Gael had a different Father? She must not especially after her "you are a good and noble Angeles" speech. Would Helloisa have covered for Gael's mom to avoid the scandal and just thereafter treated Gael like, well, like they all treat him? I don't think anyone ever suspected.
Do you think Pete is not Maximo's son?
Of course, gees, do we now have to root for Sonia and Os in taking Hair on A Stick and her father down?
Yah, looks like it.
Hee hee! Vitto deserves to fall in a boiling vat of pasta sauce for this ruse.
. . . the only 'romance" we got was Lurch and Fred.
They really sockin' it to us, ain't they?
Accidentally left the C out of Come, above!
Always love your juicy use of language...in particular "why look a gift horse in the moth to see if Daddy is inside!" Just wonderful. And a great recap of another insufferable, unbearable episode. I'm happy to take your word for everything that happened and spare my eyes and my temper!
And Diana, got a kick out of your "Moonstruck" quip as well. Cher really delivered a righteous slap to Nicolas Cage, didn't she? And oh, the romance that followed. Fabulous movie. Anyone who has ever seen it, counts it as among their favorite of all time.
Well, this cold, pale, wrinkled bag of bones wishes everyone a happy weekend and special thanks to Ms. Lila for the recap...
Very happy to save your eyes and temper, my dear! Have a fabulous weekend!
Lila, no, Fi never did anything with the intel about Diana and Vitto except make snide remarks to Diana. That girl has zero sense of self-preservation!
lol, tofie, yeah, best not to ask why Pedro couldn't have more quickly and easily done what took the team of Fabio and Osvonia an afternoon.
Daisynjay, I'm laughing at your comments on Vitto's cough. I guess that's what happens when you have a crappy doctor like Izquierdo coaching you on your symptoms?
Lila, "He should have been a sage and trusted protector and guide for the girls" no kidding! Did nobody think that young, gorgeous Fi arriving from Italy to be taken under the wing of rich Vitto while he plays fairy godfather wouldn't have made a more entertaining show? Oh, sorry, silly me, that's not how the original "story" went, I suppose, and you can't very well hire writers to do any actual writing. That's just crazy talk.
No way Mario would have ever believed Fio would take serious an offer of marriage by Vitto and give him the prize between her thighs.
Whoo! I want that letter revealed, and NOW! But knowing this gang of "writers" it will probably be a fizzle instead of a BANG or be forgotten all together!
And yah, Granny stomps out true love and passion wherever she finds it!
Yes, Diva! They could have done so much with that but instead we get this crusty old lech doing everything in his power to literally screw Fifi over. Vitto could have been a shrewd businessman going head to head with Granny to see Pedro and Fifi find happiness together while Granny continued the vile antics she's up to now. But, alas, as you say, that would require writers to write instead of taking turns pulling tired old tropes out of a bag and pasting them together.
Univision could have saved themselves a lot of time, work, and bother *** AND *** had blockbuster ratings if they had used this time slot to show Corazon Salvaje '93. I'm just sayin' ...
Vitto with his ol dying gray but, hes terrible at
Being half dead. And hes not far from it. The moment he sees fifi naked he'll drop dead from a heart attack.
'Will you help me build a life of happines? O U
Know her answer". Of course I'll help you darling while my family rubs your family blind, cleans their clock, wipe them out. I'll make you so happy you won't even know what hit you, you stupid jackass. No she didn't say that. But she might as well had, he
So stupid. I guess " fightin for our looooove"
Has flown the coop. And poor little silly fifi,
She s gonna burn the cchurch down lightin all those Candles for crooket people, except little Gigi.
So gael may not be a angeles. He don't know
It yet, but he lucked out. Now run gael, run as
Fast and as far as you can. If he's not a los angeles I hope his real dad comes and wipe
The floor up with that ol geezerett.
That skank helloisa is guilting fiorella into gettin hitched to the ol geezer guy. Blamin her for his fake inoperable brian tumer, well
You'd have to have a brain for that, and he's
So ancient his brains probably shriveled up.
these people are so halariously stupid and funny and I love how you dress em down lila.
I laugh so much when I read your recaps.
Thank you so much for a fun recap.
That being said, I think I've come to the end of the road with this one. It may be the headache talking, but now it just feels like a waste of my life to watch this infuriating drivel every night. WhyTH Fiorella didn't tell Eloisa, politely, the same thing she said to Diana is beyond me. "Thank you for your concern, Sra. Eloisa. But just as you have asked me to stay out of the personal lives of your family, I'm going to ask you to do the same for me and mine. What happens between me and Vittorio Draggone has nothing to do with my job here and therefore nothing to do with you. Ma'am."
Pedro is a f***ing idiot and I'm done with him now. The man can't even take control of his own damn life long enough to kick people out of his own office. How hard would it have been to say "I leave all of the wedding decisions up to you two; I'm sure you'll do a great job. Now, all of you, please get out of my office. I have a lot of work to do in figuring out this stock debacle." Because, seriously? He let Osvaldo, Sonia and Fabio beat him to the punch? The day Osvaldo gets that far ahead of you on your own business is the day you need to throw in the towel, y'idiot. All so you can call your gf from your ring mtg with your fiancee only to do yet another 180 in time for lunch?! Forget it.
As for the rest of them: they can all eat rocks. Gael's dad told him in a flashback that he didn't think he was really his son. Maybe he chalked that up to angry talk, but it's weird he didn't draw a line to the guy in the park.
"Shut up, _____." Insert: Eloisa, Joaquina, Vittorio, Federica, Dante, Fiorella and Pedro. I won't even include Sonia/Osvaldo because at least they accomplished something.
I'd wish all of them a balls-kicking if any of them actually had any.
Hey, Nina! Grazie, girl! Nina, we've got to strike back at these people in self defense and you don't do a bad job yourself:
. . .Blamin her for his fake inoperable brian tumer, well
You'd have to have a brain for that. . .
Get 'em, girl!
Hella! Sorellina mia! You make-a me cry: That being said, I think I've come to the end of the road with this one.
Yet, I understand:. . .it just feels like a waste of my life to watch this infuriating drivel every night.
Pedro is a f***ing idiot and I'm done with him now. The man can't even take control of his own damn life long enough to kick people out of his own office.
Hella, I totally understand but I'm going to miss such on-target and righteous rants as these! I don't know what these people are thinking. . .do anything, just string them along for, what, 180 episodes. Back the story up, turn everybody into blithering idiots, just keep it going.
Grazie, mille grazie for your support!
Wait, does this mean I actually have to write entertaining recaps now? The pressure! :p
Gianna's got balls. She's the one I don't want to kick, though.
re this
"[I feel like there should be some kind of alert here, but I'm not sure exactly about what. Any ideas?]" d'ya think Sergio was behind the accident the killed Os senior? Will Fed think he was either way? Probably.
____
Diva thanks for Wednesday's recap, I know, I know way late, this show may not be a priority for me *shrug*
and this " If Vitto's been sitting on it all this time, I'm going to guess he's never opened it and forgot he had it in the first place. Not 'cause I think he's a nice guy, just that he's so self-centered." - I could not agree more
____
Lila this explains everything -
" She was more fragile at the beginning of this thing. It seems she gets stronger the more she manipulates, pressures and threatens her family! She's an emotional vampire gaining strength by sucking the life blood out of her own offspring!"
Whoa! Sergio behind Osvaldo Sr.'s death? You think so, Sneaky? That never crossed my mind, fascinating! Tell me more! Now THAT would be shocking!
And yah, I really believe in the "psychic/emotional vampire thing": it's real and I've known some!
Good news: Hella's going to stay with us! Go ahead and bail on the show, we'll "boil" on the show and try to crank out entertaining recaps. We can do it, Diva and Sneaky: We've entered the free-fall, no holes barred, tell it like it is recap realm which actually makes recapping easier, and more fun! Hella, your support on the Patio and all of y'all's support will help us get through this carnage!
Good afternoon folks, I hope you all are having a good Sunday. Oh Sneaky Shoes your idea of Sergio causing his brother and sister in law's accident is interesting. I haven't thought that at all but I don't think that Sergio is that evil to have planned a such horrible thing even if he had problems with his brother. Ok maybe he was not the best husband neither the best father, he is a little selfish, ambitious, and loves to party but a killer no. I think that was just an accident, maybe Osvaldo Sr. and his wife Sara were fighting and he lost the control over the car. They had showed us in flashbacks that Osvaldo Sr. was a child and women abuser and Julieta said something to Sergio that if Sara hadn't died in the accident, she would have been killed by his husband.
Make sense?
Oh I wonder if Osvaldo Sr. got to know that her wife had an affaire with that guy from the park? Maybe that could be the reason of their accident. So like I have said, Osvaldo Jr. was just repeating with Sonia his parents story.
Ok Lila, it seems that you all have better ideas than the writers. Of course it would be a great turn if Sergio have killed his own brother. Sometimes in novelas the characters that looked like more innocent are the most dangerous.
Have a blessed week Everyone..
Hanna
I also think that Doris. Julieta in a scene told Sergio that Sara and Osvaldo Sr. all the time were fighting and Sergio said that his brother had a very explosive behavior.
Rox on the other hand. Since she's going to wind up being one of the most powerful Angeles', I hope the whole family goes down in flames first, reputation and all, so that she can writhe in the crap she's been slinging this whole TN. It's too bad she is an Angeles at all and not just daughter of a total nobody character that we don't even get to see. Just some terrible dude that abandoned Joaquina, who fell in love with Maximo afterwards.
Hanna! Mille grazie! I love this:
Eloisa,Eloisa, one would think someone whose body is defying gravity, would be kinder to people beneath her. .
Yes, Hanna, wait until Fiorella finds out what's in that letter. It is amazing to me that she didn't know her Father any better than to think that he would want her to marry an unknown, random, and not even very good friend since they'd never even heard their Father mention him before! Maddening!
Doris, I like your Crackpot Theory! It sounds very plausible. I could even see that devil, Osvaldo Sr., purposely wrecking the car to kill them both maybe after he'd stalked her and seen her meeting with Gael's Father in the park. And yes, bring on the theories, Crackpot or Crackpipe or whatever. We DO have to support each other AND make this silly show bearable!
That doesn't work, does it? She wouldn't have left Gael behind...unless she got amnesia!
I don't know how they're going to let us know what really happened if all the people involved are dead. There would have to be a witness.

Oh maybe the park guy in some way would appear in the story. As to Sara well maybe that flashback on the park kissing that man and using her son to see her lover could make people see her as a no moral woman. But considering the whole nasty things Assvaldo Jr. has done to Sonia, I think we can assume that Ass Sr. did exactly the same to Sara. He surely abused and manipulated her and had affaires. I can even imagine him threatening her with taking the kids away from her.
Like Fi and Vitto...she promised to marry the guy in the picture. To me that means it's null and void. Obviously, not to her.
I want for Vittorio NOT to have read the letter, and I want it to say, "My dearest daughter, my good friend, Vittorio, has given me his word that he will always take care of you and your sister, and he should, because although he doesn't know it, HE IS REALLY YOUR GREAT GRANDFATHER!!!
