Eladio's bodyguard seperates Art and Eladio and Eladio leaves with a smile on his face.
Connie continues her talk with Clarita about her doomed marriage. Gisela arrives and disapproves of their friendship and wonders why Connie doesn't at least help out her friend by giving her some money. Clarita tells Connie to not pay attention to her. Connie is willing to give Clarita money but CLarita doesn't want any. Their conversation returns to the doomed marriage and Clarita asks Connie what she will do if she finds Erick with his lover. Connie doesn't know what she would do. Clarita asks if Connie is willing to get a divorce. Connie just wishes that this was all a bad dream, or that Erick would wake up and leave his lover. Connie says she can not live without Erick.
Art and Augustin go back into the office. They argue over the cause of the fist fight between Art and Eladio. Augustin thinks it has more to do with Julia. Art denies it and says that Eladio married Julia just to piss him off and that Julia accepted the marriage to get back at Art (because he got another woman preggers). Art says that Julia didn't marry for love, but Augustin says that it doesn't matter anymore. He tells Art that he needs to concentrate more on his family. Art says he will talk with Erick because he got involved with Eladio's lover. He can not believe that Eladio is cheating on Julia and thinks that she needs to know. Augustin asks if Art is going to be the one to tell Julia.
Montse is in her apartment drinking with her neighbor, Aldo, and tells him that she is not preggers. She only told Eladio that so that he would stop hurting her. He tells her that it's too bad because a child would have given her a good future. She tells him that she already made some money. Eladio gave her some cash for an abortion. He tells her that she should make Eladio suffer, but she doesn't know how. It would be bad news for her if Eladio discovers that she is lying to him.
Art does think he should tell Julia (about Eladio having a lover). Augustin wants to know why? To destroy her marriage? Is that what Art wants? What will he do then, leave Nina? Augustin is trying to get Art to react and think about his family. Art agrees and is thankful that Regina and Miguel don't give him problems. Just then there is a knock at the door and it's Regina. Augustin greets her then leaves. Regina tells her father that she needs his help to get out of a contract that she signed in Queretaro for work. He asks why? She comes up with a lame excuse saying she simply doesn't want to be in Queretaro anymore. He doesn't believe her and wants a legitimate reason.
Connie and Clarita say their goodbyes. When Gisela comes out of her room Clarita gets after her for what she said in front of Connie. Gisela says she's mad because Clarita is keeping secrets and wants to know why Maribel is in such a hurry to go to Acapulco. Clarita mentions that Francisco and David helped with the trip. Gisela gets jealous because she only gets a check. Clarita tells her to be more appreciative for getting a check without having to work for it.
Art tells Regina that he expects more from her. He can't support her without a legitimate reason. It's not right for her to leave her job. She needs to confront her responsibilities and decisions like she always has. Unless there is something more going on? She tells him it's personal. With teary eyes she tells him she does not want to work with the engineer that's working on the project. He wants to know what he did. She says he did nothing. He tells her that sometimes you have a teacher, a bosses, or a co-worker that you don't like but you have to learn to work/live with them. He wants to know if there is something more going on with this engineer. She says no and tells him not to worry. She let herself get too involved and now she's very sensitive. She will continue with her work, like he has always taught her to do and be a professional. She apologizes for bothering him. He tells her that she is never a bother and that he is proud of her. They hug. Regina sees his bruised face and wants to know what happened. He says that Gomez Luna came to the office and they got into a fight. While healing her dad's wounds, Regina asks why they were fighting. He tells her that there are alot of reasons. Augustin says that Art needs to be careful because Eladio is violent. If the problems keep getting worse with Eladio it's going to end up very bad. Regina looks concerned.
Aldo tells Montse not to worry because he knows a doctor that can get her some false abortion papers if he pays him off. He tells her that she needs to make Eladio feel guilty by faking that she is depressed. She says she's an expert at that. He will come up with something to help Montse get Eladio back from his wife. Montse says that Aldo is the best friend in the world. She says she is waiting for a call from Erick. She is worried that Eladio might have hurt him. Aldo reminds her that Erick is married and can't be making phone calls all the time. She's worried what Eladio will do. Aldo tells her not to worry because Erick has his father to protect him, besides, Eladio won't risk a scandal. She hopes he is right because she is tired of everything.
After confirming with Simona that Eladio is not at home, Julia reads through her old love letters from Arturo. There is a noise at the door. Julia hides her letters. It's David, and he apologizes for barging in without knocking. She gives her son a hug and asks what's wrong. He tells her that things ended between him and the girl he was dating. And is doesn't matter that they had just met because he fell in love with her. Julia has never seen him like this over a girl. He says that he is very much in love but that there are so many things that seperate them. Julia tells him that if he really loves her, he needs to fight for their love. David says that she (Regina) is the one that is not convinced. Julia tells him to insist. Some women are not used to giving in and pride gets in the way, but if he (David) let's real love get away, he will regret it for the rest of his life.
Gisela tells Clarita to go after Francisco and his money. Clarita says she likes Francisco, but not for his money. She tells Gisela to stop persuading her to the dark side, or she will leave her alone to pay all of the rent by herself. Gisela tells Clarita that if she were her and had that pretty face, she wouldn't be living there.
Dani is back home and unpacking when Nina comes in her room. They are going to have a hard time with her father because Nina isn't as persuasive with her kisses anymore. Dani doesn't believe it. Nina says she will find a way. Petra comes in and says that Arturo wants to see Dani.
David is outside the Montenegro mansion. Regina arrives and he asks to talk with her. He tells her that they can't leave things as they are and that he will be strong for both of them. Regina asks how they can have a relationship when David's dad just punched her father in the face. David is impactado.
Nina comes crying down the stairs to Arturo and gives him a hug. She pretends to be distraught over the pictures that surfaced on the internet with Dani. She tells Art that they have to take Dani to rehab, and in order to help Dani, they have to be more united than ever. Art tries to calm her down and doesn't think it necessary to take Dani to rehab. She thinks she does. When Art asks where Dani is, Nina over-reacts at seeing Art's bruised face and asks who hit him.He tells her that Gomez Luna punched him because of Erick. Nina is confused. Art tells her that Erick is an irresponsible idiot who was spoiled by his mother. She refuses to take all the blame because he is also Art's son. He accepts his responsibility, but also thinks that if he was working all the time, maybe she should have been closer to the kids instead of being at the club, or with her friends, gossiping, etc. Cara de impactada de Nina. Arturo wants to know where Dani is. She tells him that Dani needs love, and compassion from them. Dani needs to see them together and in love. Art reminds Nina that Dani is not 5 years old. Nina says that Dani is sorry. Art tells her that Dani needs to assume the consequences. She's going to have to learn the hard way. Nina thinks they can solve this problem together. She is willing to give up their social life if it means saving her family, which is the most important thing in her life. Art is happy to hear that and tells Nina to stop crying. He is going to talk to Dani. Nina chases him up the stairs.
Outside, David wants to know what happened between the not-so-soon-to-be father's in law. Regina tells David that his father went to her father's office looking for a fight, and that her father said that everytime there are more problems between them. David doesn't think that what their families do should affect their relationship. Regina says that it shouldn't, but that it's a reality. Imagine if I told my father that I was dating the son of his worst enemy. Or you, already having so many problems with your father. He's going to be furious if he finds out that you are dating me. David says he doesn't care what his father says or thinks. Regina tells him that his father will push him farther away and it will end up affecting his mother. David knows it won't be easy. Regina thinks it's better to end things. David says it's easy to say but hard to do. Regina says that her uncle Augustin said if the confrontations continue between Art and Eladio it could end terribly. Regina doesn't want anything bad to happen. David is fed up. He can't believe that Regina would let what they have vanish because she is scared. He takes off on his motorcycle.
Art walks into Dani's bedroom while she is checking her phone. She apologizes for what she did and promises it will never happen again. He tells her that she is prohibited from going out, taking trips, having friends over, etc. Dani is upset. Nina thinks it's too much. Art tells Dani it's time for her to be responsible, and assume the consequences of her actions. Nina says that they will support her going to rehab and Dani promises to try and not drink anymore. Dani asks for help rather than punishment. Art promises to not work so much to spend more time with his family.
Erick goes to see Montse. He wants to know how and why Montse got involved with Eladio. Montse lies and tells Erick that Eladio forced her because she needed the money. Erick says that daddy cut his credit off. She wants a real man that can have her living like a queen. If he can promise that, she will be his and only his. He agrees but he needs time. She says she will wait because she loves him. But warns him not to take too long or Eladio will win.
Maribel tells her family about their all expense paid trip to Acapulco. They celebrate. Maribel explains how Clarita was able to get them the free trip.
David arrives home searching for his mother. He wants to know the true reason behind the problem between his father and Mr. Montenegro. Julia says there is no mystery and that it is a business rivalry. David knows it's more than that and that it's personal because his father went and punched Arturo. Julia is very concerned over Art's well-being. Eladio walks in and wants to know what's up. David angrily asks his father why he went to start a fight with Mr. Montenegro. Eladio wants to know who told David about the fight. David goes a little nuts telling his father that he has a personal problem with Montenegro. It starts getting a little physical until Julia breaks it up. She doesn't want to backtrack on the progress made in the relationship between Eladio and David. Julia takes Eladio upstairs.
Regina is crying at home. Miguel comes in and asks what's wrong. She tells him that everything is wrong and keeping her and David apart. Miguel tells her to defend what is her's. She says she can't deal with everything.
Art asks Augustin to get info on a good therapist for Dani. Nina comes in and suggest he go get some rest. He can't because he is too worried about his family. They argue about the kids and Art tells her that Erick has a lover. They argue some more.
Dani is talking to a friend over the phone when Regina storms in. She tells Dani that she's not going to let her ruin her life anymore. And that if she's not with David, it's not because he doesn't love her, but because she doesn't want to escalate the hate between the two families. Dani thinks that Regina is full of it because there is no way David would pick Regina over her. Dani puts herself up on a pedestal but Regina wins this round when she tells her sister that she's satisfied knowing that David knows Dani is a skank, because David loves her (Regina) very much.
Julia and Eladio argue going into the bedroom. He insists on knowing how David found out about the fight. He thinks that Julia has been talking with Art and he told her about it. Julia wants to know why they had the fight in the first place. He blows her off and wonders why they couldn't talk in front of David. He assumes it's because she doesn't want David to find out the real reason Eladio hates Arturo. Eladio says he's not cruel enough to tell David he isn't his bio dad.
Arturo is pacing and arguing with Nina. He is about to tell her who Erick's lover is when Miguel comes in. Miguel sees the bruises and wants to know what happened. Nina fills him in then leaves. Art asks Miguel for his help. He wants him to use his computer smarts to destroy and ruin Eladio Gomez Luna.
Julia can't believe that she is still hearing the same song and dance from Eladio. She has been locked in a prison for more than 20 years and David has never felt his father's love. She's not going to allow Eladio to hurt David anymore. Eladio insists on knowing how David knew about the fight and Julia insists that she does not know. Julia warns Eladio that she will never forgive him if he tells David of his suspicions of not being his father.
Julia runs into Gaby at the bottom of the stairs. She tells Gaby that she has to see Arturo so that he can get a DNA test done because Eladio won't do it. She needs to prove that David is Eladio's son. Dvid walks in on the conversation and wants to know why his mother wants to talk with Mr. Montenegro.
Miguel agrees to help his father but is concerned that this is a personal matter and not just business. Arturo is tired of Eladio's attacks. Miguel thinks that if they got into a physical fight, it must be personal.
Julia tells David that she just wants to know why they had the fight. David tells her it's better if she doesn't get involved. She agrees. David just wants them both (Art & Eladio) to realize that what they do and did has consequences. Julia wants to know what consequences he's talking about.
Miguel asks his father to watch his back. Arturo is livid. He is having some kind of attack. He wants to ruin Eladio no matter what it takes. Miguel tells him that he's smarter than Eladio. Not always says Art, but this time he will win the war with Miguel's help. Miguel says he will always help him. Through the good and the bad. It means the world to Miguel that his father wants his help, whether to run the business or ruin Gomez Luna.

Gisela's advice to Clara to use her looks to hook a rich man, make me wonder who Caridad's father is. Could it some home end up that Julia's rat bastard dad is Caridad's dad, and the two women Eladio impregnated are sisters? Just a wild theory. Could be one of the things Eladio holds over him, in addition to having paid his gambling debts.

Arturo probably became a workaholic out of a sense of loss and guilt and this is carrying a heavy price tag now. He is finally seeing that Nina is a shallow narcissist, so that realization about Daniela has to follow.
It would be interesting to know how and why Regina and Daniela turned out so different from each other. I have difficulty imagining Nina caring enough about either of their school grades or being proud of Regina when she was a child and got top grades in the early grades. Even my very shallow almost-Nina mother learned that depending on a man should not be a way of life.
However, every time I see Daniela I am happier than ever that I never had a younger sister.

Dani's crack to Regina about it being a good thing that David never saw Reg when she was 15, makes me think Gina was an awkward child and teen, and only recently grew into her looks, while Dani was always pretty. I'm sure Nina just ignored Reg because of this, allowing her to focus on her natural academic ability and pursuits.

There are times when women who really weren't beautiful simply gave that illusion only as they believed it and projected it to the world. Confidence is an amazing attribute.

Diana, I see Erick going for the Mannequin because she's "fun". It's just drink and sex and making HIM happy. But Connie wants a family, stability and someone who cares about what she wants too. He wasn't kidding with that drunken tirade. I find it telling that both women are models...he might have thought Connie as a model made the perfect trophy wife, have a baby to one up the older brother and make dad proud, but she would still be "fun". But she wasn't Nina...having said kids, leave them with nannies and still be svelte and stylish and all fun and sex. Also, he can't help but see his mother, who I think he's trying to capture in a wife lord help him, doesn't like Connie either. So he went for another model and this one better fits the bill for what he was after in the first place. He's too stupid to realize these two women are more needy and wanting their way more then Connie will ever be.

Thanks, AuntyAnn, despite all the vigorous arguing I kept dozing during the episode so I really appreciate this detailed and informative recap. Still getting a feel for these folk but it's clear that I could really smack the taste out of Daniela's mouth. No, wait, line her up with Nina and Monse and I could do a three-fer. So who is this Aldo guy, a loser with no life living vicariously through the skank across the hall? Umph. Not sure what Art has in mind in his ruination scheme but David seems sweet, would hate to see him turn into a shifty-eyed minion with an eevil cackle all in hope of winning Art's approval. Art and Eladio seem like a couple of boys who have moved up from slingshots to uzis in their schoolyard rivalry and I've got a feeling there's going to be a lot of collateral damage.

So .. what does Aldo gain from helping out Montse? Why is he helping her out? When did they become friends? It will be interesting when we find out. I wasn't surprised to find out that she really wasn't pregnant. I had a feeling that she wasn't and had just used that excuse to stop Eladio from hurting her any further.
Regina is really being a coward, by not being willing to fight for her and David's love. However, she wasn't a coward in standing up to Daniela, and I enjoyed watching her winning that round.
Yes, going to Artie, to ask him for help to get a DNA test done, is definitely not a smart move. Why not steal some hair from both Eladio and David and get the test done in secret? It would be easier than going to Artie and risking Eladio finding out.
