Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #77 Friday, 12-11-15 (Mex 107) ¡Muchacha Italiana Escaparse!

Saluti, miei amici belli del Patio!  Let's dive right in to an episode we all deserve!  Pedro has a mini freak out in the ACorp board room after reading the email on Benigno's thumb drive!  Aitana and Benigno have totally deceived him!  He throws some bookshelves and chairs around but stops to answer his cell.  It's Fabio calling to apologize for not being able to attend his wedding; something has come up at home in Italy.  Pedro verifies that Fabio was part of the team that investigated the sale of ACorp stock and then they agree to meet at La Dolce Vita as what he wants to discuss is very sensitive.

Diana gets ready for Vitto's wedding.  Her Mom is surprised she's going and takes the opportunity to "I told you so" Diana.  Anibal the animal calls to threaten Diana and press her for his bail.  She counsels him to be patient:  Vitto is about to be out of town and they can rip him off then.  After she hangs up on him Anibal charges Ramiro with REALLY tailing Diana and giving her any help she needs with the heist.

Pedro looks comfy, yet determined in his jeans astride a motor cycle as he arrives at La Dolce Vita (LDV)  Ok, he looks hot.  Anyway, he makes a call to Fiorella and gets that frustrating disconnection message.  Ay!  She's got to know he's not getting married anymore!!

At El Rancho in the girls bedroom Gianna and Fiorella share a moment before she goes off to. . . I can't even say it.  Fiorella has cut off her phone to keep the Zombie Groom from calling her every five minutes.  Fiorella tells Gianna she looks beautiful.  Gianna thinks Fiorella is the one who is beautiful, and she is, like a perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse.  Fiorella says she can't believe "the great day" is finally here and then, in the next breath she asks Gianna to accompany her to look for Pedro to extend good wishes on his wedding day.  Nope.  He's not at the ranch and Gianna discourages Fiorella from calling him.  Fifi is surprised.  Gianna has always been supportive and encouraging of her attempts to contact Pedro.  Gianna says sadly that it's too late, she's going to be the bride of Frankenstein and should leave Pedro alone, she'll only hurt him, and herself.  Fiorella concedes that Gianna is right and decides to leave the phone in their room.

Meanwhile Pedro has realized that LDV is closed.  He calls Fabio who lies through his teeth that he's on his way to the airport and will have to talk when he gets back.  Pedro asks and he denies having noticed anything strange or out of order in ACorp.  Pedro says he'll talk to him more when he gets back.  [Now, either I went to sleep on a scene or a scene  was edited out where Fabio decided to get the hell out of dodge before the zeet hit the fan?  Simplest explanation is the whole thing is he's just flat out lying!  Help me out here, friends!]  Pedro hangs up the phone and hears the yelling and kicking of Luca in the wine cellar.  He gets an iron bar and busts the outer door of LDV.

Now we are at the scene of the self-sacrifice of Fiorella Bianchi where Gianna wonders where Gianluca is.  The guests are gathered outside the church and we see Vitto with the until now phantom family, hugging and greeting them with joy while Diana's sour puss throws shade in the background.  Now, I am not one for the wardrobe critique and I hope my friends will add that piece but Simoneta's bright pink, flowing dress is eye catching and she looks lovely.  Quina is there as well and congratulates Vitto who introduces Domingo to the gathering.   Aww, hey now!  Domingo and Simoneta are immediately enchanted with each other.  Domingo bends to kiss her hand and look up almost worshipfully into Simoneta's sparkling eyes!  Benito reminds me why I don't like his arse as he snatches Simoneta away, separating the two.  Hey!  What gives jerko!?  I could just slap him!  Gianna runs up and asks Vitto where Luca is.  He lies that Luca couldn't bear to see Fiorella marry another man.  Santino, Adela and Rey are all in attendance and the air is somewhat light and festive.

Let's check on the Pedro/Aitana wedding.  Assvaldo and Sonia snicker about how they have Benigno at their mercy now and if he doesn't give Assy a more powerful position in the company, they will break up Pedro and Aitana.  Freddie comes up to piss on their legs.  Surely they're not happy Pedro's getting married.  Oh yes, what great joy to see Pedro marry the woman he loves.  Freddie quips that the Angeles are well known for making poor choices for wives.  Sonia hisses back that it's good Freddie doesn't have children so her bad ju ju can DIE with her.   Sonia shoots daggers at Alina; Granny, Sergio and Julieta chat about what a fine husband Pedro will be for Aitana.  Roxi and Gael await Pedro's arrival as the limo with the bride arrives BEFORE the groom.  Gael wonders where Pedro could be.

Pedro is busting into the wine cellar at LDV and finally gets in to the bound but not gagged Luca who tells him breathlessly that Vitto knocked him out and tied him up to keep him from revealing that he's NOT SICK!  At first Pedro thinks it's a trick to break up Fiorella's wedding but finally listens.  Vitto deceived Fiorella and invented the terminal illness to get her to marry him out of sympathy!  Pedro tries Fiorella again without success and finally unties Luca, promising him Luca will NOT be happy if Pedro finds out he lied!  They run out of LDV!

At Fiorella's numbskull nuptials everyone waits for her arrival.  Adela frets, Rey comforts and Benito asks Vitto what he will do if Fiorella changes her mind at the last minute.  No way, it will never happen Vitto says and on cue the car pulls up, a humble SUV.  Fiorella's pitiful and stony face belies the jubilation around the church as the guests applaud her arrival.  Adela won't let Vitto go to meet the car but takes him to the sanctuary instead.   Inside the car Fiorella bids farewell to Fidel who wishes things could have turned out differently and Fiorella even tells him she feels as if she is going to die, that she doesn't know if her heart can take it.  Yikes!!   Fidel tells Fiorella that life is full of moments of light and darkness and she must be strong, as his mother always said, with her head held high and a smile on her face.  Fiorella closes her eyes and tries to breathe, a single, lonely tear escapes her left eye.  She says he is right:  life is not a fairy tale, we don't always get what we want but we have to give thanks for what we have.  She asks Fidel to hug Pedro for her and she says goodbye to Fidel who kisses her hand with tearful resignation.  Fiorella announces it is time to go and meet her fate.  Santino opens the door and greets her and assists her out of the car, Rey has come to get her to walk her into the church.  Rey asks if all is well.  Fiorella says it is through a mouth that doesn't smile and eyes that are feverish with tears.

Now Sonia and Osvaldo wonder aloud where Pedro is.  The ever chipper Freddie adds that Pedro's not being there is a bad sign and informs Granny that Fidel took Fiorella to the church for HER wedding.  Granny is outraged and calls Dante to move heaven and earth to find her grandson!  The Hairy One actually looks pretty though she spoils it with anxious fussing at her parents who wait outside the limo.   Aitana's mom, Celeste, Benigno and the Priest encourage her to calm down, all will be well.  Aitana just hopes that what is delaying Pedro is not named Fiorella.

Fiorella and Rey make their way up the aisle, the cute flower boy and girl sprinkle petals before them but Fiorella spreads a pall of darkness and despair as she takes what has turned into a death march towards her doom.  That's right.  Doom, not groom!  Diana's glares stands out in the audience.  As they reach the altar, Adela wishes her happiness and pledges she will always be like a Mother to her.  Fiorella whispers a silent, desperate prayer as she openly cries:  "Papa, the day has arrived.  Even though you are not physically with me, I feel you near!  If you are with me, please take care of me!  I hope I am not making a mistake."  Benito remarks to Gianna that Fiorella looks as if she's at her own funeral instead of her wedding.  This really hits Gianna hard:  "My poor sister, the day that she has always dreamed of has become the worst day of her life!"

Back at the Pedro/Aitana-NOT wedding a handsome dude in a purple shirt [that's all I got, folks] arrives.  He is an old family friend.  Benigno directs him towards Gael and Roxi.  Gael calls Pedro; the handsome stranger looks at Gael and smiles slowly.

The ceremony begins and Fiorella's palpable despair has infected the whole gathering. . . .all accept the despicable Dead One, of course.  Adela, Rey, Quina, Santino, Benito and Gianna, among others openly shake their heads.  The light and festive air has become dark and suffocating.

Aitana continues her meltdown inside the limo. . .oh, she'll be a laughing stock!  She's dying of shame!  She begins to abuse the fine Corinthian leather inside the car.

Pedro and Luca are at a gas station.  Oh no!  The crotch rocket has a flat!  Pedro runs off leaving Luca with the disabled bike.  Inside the church Fiorella and Vitto kneel as the ceremony draws closer to its conclusion.  Pedro is all out hauling ass and stops across the street from the church and begins to scream, "FIO-RELLLLA!!  FIO-RELLLLLLA!!  When the Priest talks about this being a sacred union of two people in love Gianna can't take anymore and gets up and several people, including Fiorella,  look after her as she leaves the church.

Pedro crosses the street and is going to run into the church but Fidel becomes a human brick wall and stops him cold!  Pedro wants to stop the wedding and Fidel tells him that there is no way Fiorella will not go through with the wedding knowing Vittorio is sick.  But he's not sick, Pedro yells!  Gianna approaches them and hears this startling news!

Aitana melt down continues, now she's gotten out of the car.  This is the most humiliating day of her life!  The only excuse he can have for not being there is he's dead!  She tries to leave but her parents stop her and she let's them have it:  she's tired of this game! She tried to win Pedro's love but she couldn't and now she has to marry someone that doesn't love her because of THEIR ambitions!  She is sure Pedro is with the Eye-talian!  Granny and Dante approach.  Granny that Dante has spoken to Quina and Fiorella is getting married even as they speak and this calms Aitana down some.  As for Pedro, they're still working on finding him.

Now Luca has come up and confirms what Pedro is saying and Gianna exclaims that they've all been duped.  But damn, that Fidel is one huge sonzabee and little Petey ain't getting past him not even with the brute force of a luuurve that won't be denied!  Fidel asks what he wants to do; stand up Aitana and run away with Fiorella?  Uh, that would be a .... YES, if you'd get your HULK ass out of the way!  Fidel then tries to appeal to Pedro's family values:  doesn't he want to save the empresa from the dastardly plans of Benigno and Aitana?  The tinkly music tells us this is hitting home.  Fidel tells Pedro that only HE, knowing what he knows can save the company.  Pedro is like, well, tell Granny and let her save the company, I want Fiorella!  Damn it!  This is the most fight we've seen in Petey and Fidel is doin' some heavy blocking in every sense of the phrase!  Fidel continues, surely thinking at this point about the substantial supply of groceries he is able to supply his big frame through his lifelong employ with Angeles family.  [Just kidding. . .sort of!]   "You mean you're going to let Assvaldo be in charge?  Can he handle it?"  Pedro doesn't think so but he CAN'T be without the love of his life.  FINALLY, Luca breaks the impasse by asking if he can help!

The ceremony continues.  Vitto reaches for Fiorella's hand and she pulls away.  Quina tells Simoneta that Pedro hasn't arrived at his own wedding and Simoneta grins at the prospect of a potential romantic and dramatic moment!  You go, Simoneta!  She's the only one in the whole church smiling!  Oh, Domingo is not in a somber mood either:  he and Simoneta are sending silent sparks!

Alina asks Gael where his cousin is.  Gael doesn't know.  Roxi thinks he's at the airport with FioRELLa!

Handsome stranger approaches Gael and Roxi, smiling hesitantly.  All doubt is removed as the handsome stranger is swept up in a black and white rewind to him, young Gael and his Mom at the park.  He's the Nice Man in the park!!  Nice man returns to the present and calls his name, "Gael Angeles?"  He introduces himself to Gael as an old friend of the family and asks if Gael's parents are there.  No, they are deceased.  Nice Man begs pardon.  Gael asks his name and before Nice Man can answer, Sergio interrupts but is stopped in mid sentence, looks back and forth at Gael and Nice Man and asks Nice man if they know each other from somewhere.  Nice man says no, excuses himself and slips away as he can see they are busy.   Sergio tells Gael there is still no news of Pedro and they're about to call the police.  They have confirmed that he's not with Fiorella.  Sergio looks worried.

Granny's almost in tears with Julieta, Dante and Freddie standing by:  he gave his word he would marry; something terrible must have happened!  Dante worries Granny will hurt herself with worry, Freddie think she's strong as an old oak tree.  Granny wants Dante to keep calling Fidel.

Fidel is with Pedro who is about to leave on the motorcycle when Dante's call comes in to Fidel.  Pedro asks him to ignore it and he does.  What will Fidel tell people about Pedro's whereabouts?  Whatever, is Pedro's answer!

Sonia wishes she made a bet on the Petey/Taney hook up.  Assvaldo says he's not given up hope that Pedro gets hit by a train.  Hmm, foreshadowing your own end, Ass boy?  "Imagine, we'd cry, I mean, they would cry over him and a few days after that, all the power is mine!"  "All OURS, my love" goes Mrs. Ass.

Fidel asks Pedro what his plan is?  Pedro doesn't know except he's going to run away with Fiorella and he'll be in touch.  The towering Fairy Godfather gives Pedro a big hug and tells him to take care and get in touch as soon as he can and take care of Fiorella.  Another big man hug and Fidel leaves.  Gianna comes out of the church and tells Pedro they have to act fast, Vitto has defrauded Fiorella and they are almost man and wife!  They run into the church!

Vitto and Fiorella stand before the Priest as he asks if there is anyone who has just cause for why the two should not be joined in holy wedlock, that they should speak now or forever hold their peace.  Adela and Rey exchange a steady and gloomy gaze and Fiorella looks sadly behind her, to the right and to the left.  Santino looks down solemnly, surely feeling the call of the blood as Fiorella turns back to face the Priest in the deafening silence of no voice ringing out to stop the sacrilege!  The Priest asks if they give them selves freely without pressure to one another and the Tuxedoed Corpse answers in the affirmative as does Fiorella after a long moment of hesitation and prompting by Vitto.  The Priest asks if they will love and honor each other for the rest of their lives.  Again, Vitto answers without hesitation and he asks Fiorella for her response. .  .

Gianluca bursts into the church and shouts, "Fiorella, you're NOT going to marry my uncle, I've come to FIGHT FOR OUR LOVE and put an end to this farce!"  Vitto calls him a traitor and charges toward him!  Domingo and the Priest grab and hold Vitto back!  Luca says he's there for Fiorella and she's going with him!  Fiorella, back at the altar, hears Pedro call to her from under a table. . ."Listen to me, Vittorio is NOT SICK!"  Fiorella is in sacrificial lamb shock so Pedro has to grab her and pulls her out into the hallway.  He explains that Gianluca made the discovery and shushes her further questions with his lips.  After their lips part, Fiorella's smile is like the first brilliant glimmer of the sun at the end of a full solar eclipse!  They run from the church!

Gianluca continues the distraction saying Fiorella loves him and has stood him up at the altar!  Vitto turns around, Fiorella is gone and now Diana breaks out in a brilliant smile of her own.

Pedro and Fiorella run outside into the resplendent sunshine and are met by Gianna who encourages her to go ahead and run away with the love of her life!  The girls hug, Fiorella blesses Gianna who then hugs Pedro.

Vitto looks at the spot where Fiorella once stood and looks down at the discarded bridal bouquet.  The whole church is frozen mid-gasp, Diana can't stop grinning and Gianluca runs from the church!

Fiorella:  Tell me I'm not dreaming, that this is real!
Pedro:  You're not dreaming, this is real, this our future!  I couldn't let our love end like this!  Destiny is OURS!

He clasps her face in his hands and they kiss as the theme song rises.  Pedro mounts the bike and Fiorella prettily hikes up her gown and train and mounts behind him.  Pedro revs up the engine and off they speed!

YAH BAY-BAY!  Bout damn time!!!  WHOO HOOOO!!

Ahhh! Yes! I got a good one! Have at it, y'all! Let's have a good time this weekend, finally something exciting happens but with so much show left to go, it could get real interesting!

Thank you Lila for the awesome recap.

It's about time Pedro and Fiorella quit behaving like idiots.
I wonder what Eloisa's reaction will be, have a feeling she might go ballistic.
Aitana might shape up to be a worse villain considering the fact that Pedro stood her up.
Vitto's embarrassment in the church made me literally jump for joy, after lying for so long, this is the least he deserves.

Elorej

Buongiorno, benvenuto e mille grazie, Elorej! I am sooo happy! Oh. My. Gosh!! I can't wait to see Eloisa's and EVERYbody's reaction! There is no reason for this not to be a dynamite show from here on out!

Vitto's embarrassment in the church made me literally jump for joy, after lying for so long, this is the least he deserves.

Yes, that's the absolute least he deserves and I see HIM as becoming a worse villian than before! As a matter of fact Assvaldo, Sonia, Freddie, Dante, and Vitto are likely to go much darker. Wonder what Diana is going to do, other than trying to rip off Vitto because she definitely feels she's got a shot at the old geezer now.

Thanks, and I hope you hang with us, Elorej!

Grazie tanto, Lila e congratulazione! You got the episode that the whole build-up was for.

I knew that Gianluca would have to have something to do with this and yes, this is the least Vittorio deserves for all the lying and manipulation. Can't remember who wrote The Graduate but that iconic ending has become a new novela cliche.

More later after I catch up to Poder.

Hey Lila! Grat job!

I especially liked

"perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse"

"Frddie comes u to piss on their legs"

"The light and festive air has become dark and suffoating."

I didn't understand how Pedro's tire got fixed.

After all the lying, I was overjoyed that Vitto and Aitana were publically humiliiated.

I suppose that Vitto's honeymoon is going to turn out different than how he thought, thank God. Who wears sun glasses to the altar on their wedding day?

David

Hot damn! Lila, you got a whopper of an episode and the recap was perfect in getting it all down for us. Grazie!

After agonizing weeks of wondering what we were going to get this day, it played out great. Hair on a stick throwing her requisite tantrum and Vitto being made to look like the old lying Frankenstein that he is. Never thought it would be Petey who found Luca, but that was the perfect plot to play out for The Graduate pay-off.

Love how the mood of Fi's wedding was bright colors and music while Petey's group was donned in black and gloom. (And what the blazes was Eloisa wearing? She gets my vote for worst dressed.) And I though I wanted to wring Fidel's neck there for a sec, but then I think he was doing that to make Petey drive in the final nail as to what was the most important to him. He broke the Eloisa apron string.

But as much as antics were fun, and there were times I was yelling at my TV, "Just shut up already.STOP talking!" at people, my real enjoyment was watching Simonetta and Dom. OH my stars...they were adorable! And then the appearance of Gael's daddy. What perfect casting! Swear those two were related and he better stick around because he is soooo pretty. (Yes, I am that shallow.)

Coming attractions were VERY interesting. I am actually excited to see Monday's episode.

And welcome Elorej!!

Daisynjay

Oh man, did they torture us last night!!!!????? Every impediment to Pedro getting to the church on time was thrown in. I was about to go into a full gastritis crisis until FINALLY Fiorella escaped with Pedro and we have a Happy Pause, if not a Happy Ending....Yet.

Lila, Lila, I never know if you're using current slang or just you own inimitable gift of language but "crotch rocket" was a new one for me! Anyway, our formerly wussy galan did look very manly on his motorcycle.

Interesting visuals last night. Fiorella, with her hair and frozen face looked very Geisha-like.
Simona was simply resplendent and darn near overpowering in her flaming pink hat and dress, and Domingo looked like a happy little flea ready to hop onto that adorable pink pachyderm. Loved the spark between those two.

Knew from the moment I saw the stranger's eyes that he was Gael's papa. They certainly cast that one right.

Fed's garb is always unique and I loved your line "comes up to piss on their legs". I'm liking her more and more.

Finally, the dreadful Aitana did have a lovely coiffure last night. As my own hair thins, I'm feeling a wee bit of envy for those magnificent manes.

And Lordy, the actress playing Julieta. I doubt if the priest could concentrate on the ceremony with that vista in the pews. In addition to her other amazing endowments, she certainly has lovely broad shoulders. She would have been great as a competitive swimmer.

Glad you got such an exciting and happy episode, Lila, as you have had to handle some dreary ones as well. Thanks as always.

Oh and yes, Welcome Eloerej. Can't remember if you have commented before..but this is a great group. Always delighted to hear new viewpoints.

Lila, this was amazing.

Your enthusiasm was so infectious, I felt myself smiling throughout. Finally, Fiorella and Pedro were rescued from Vitto and Aitana's evil clutches! How exciting.

"Gianna thinks Fiorella is the one who is beautiful, and she is, like a perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse", "Freddie comes up to piss on their legs", " Fiorella says it is through a mouth that doesn't smile and eyes that are feverish with tears" and "She begins to abuse the fine Corinthian leather inside the car" were among my favorites. "Fiorella is in sacrificial lamb shock" was perfect.

"Simoneta's bright pink, flowing dress is eye catching and she looks lovely". Yes, she certainly did! And hope for a romance for our favorite, sweet, bright beauty? Wonderful!

Judy, ITA that everything possible was thrown in the way of Pedro stopping the wedding! I was actually yelling at Fidel to let Pedro go! For heaven's sake man, now is not the time to get philosophical and practical. Good intentions but not now when Fiorella needs to be rescued from the selfish Vitto.

Loved seeing Fi and Pedro escaping from the church, a very "The Graduate" move.

"After agonizing weeks of wondering what we were going to get this day, it played out great". Yes daisy!

If only that were the last scene but I suspect Monday will be time for the repercussions to begin. Sigh.

Welcome Elorej.

Diana

JudyB, I love your description of Domingo and Simona's first meeting. He sure looked ready to pounce! I had the same Geisha thought about Fiorella's hair and makeup and this was a deliberate look because that is what Vittorio wanted her to be.

Too bad, so sad. NOT.

Fiorella is far too vibrant to be condemned to this kind of servitude even if the man were Gianluca's age. Like I've said before, Vittorio should have gone to Stepford.

We don't know Gael's father's name, so we better find out ASAP along with whether he has any dinero.

So, who is the handsome stranger???

Is he Gael's father?? I thought it might be his brother (there seemed to be a resemblance.

I'm confused...

Diana (still partying Lila :))

Diana! Amica! Grazie, girl! I feel as if a great weight has been lifted off my novela heart!!

Oh, Diana, it was just so good I may back to watch it again. Maybe I will after chores: It's going to be a Patio weekend as I check out PyP and the weekend discussion but this was too sweet!

If only that were the last scene but I suspect Monday will be time for the repercussions to begin. Sigh.

That's why we got to PAR-TAY, Diana! I hope a lot of our friends who watch only once in a while, or with the volume down or laying heavily on the FF>> button will stop by! Only spreading of cheer allowed though, guys, we've had enough agony!

Moved your comment, Diana because I had bold where it should be italics!

Yes, Diana, as the handsome stranger looked at Gael, he had a flashback to playing in the park with young Gael and his Mom and for the first time in the flashback we saw The Nice Man's face and then they switched to the present and The Handsome Stranger is The Nice Man, but older. And having aged like fine wine, I might add!

Lila - Great recap! Great snark! Thank you! You captured the emotions perfectly. You won the lottery with this episode.

Elaaaaainnnnneee!!!!! BODUS INTERRUPTUS!!! Yesssss! Squeeeee! The Simon & Garfunkel music was playing in my head.

That big rope Vitto used to tie up Luca looks like one that is used to tie up a 100-ft yacht. QTH? I was really hoping for a Pedro / MacGyver moment and was bummed when he simply undid the knots. ~meh~

Aitana has her Bridezilla moment. Her mom’s hair was a complete bed-head disaster. I hope she did not tip the hairstylist.

Julieta’s boobage and cleavage were totally inappropriate, especially for a daytime wedding. Talk about your crimes of fashion. Yikes.

Simoneta making eyes at Domingo, even during the wedding, was hilarious. I just love her!

Loved Roxi’s sunglasses, hated her dress. It looked like it was scrunched up into her butt crack.

Fiorella was beautiful and so was her dress.

Oh wow. Gael's bio-dad, no doubt about it. Quelle hottie! The anti-Assvaldo Sr&Jr. I hope he is richer than the Los Angeles.

Our wussy galan finally looked manly (to me) when he was trying to get past Fidel and into the church. This is the most animated he has been since before this telenovela began.

I kept yelling at my TV for Luca and Gi to run on in there and stop that wedding!!! Sheesh.

For our younger Patio peeps, and those who wish to relive the original, here are the two videos you need to copy & paste, and watch in order, that inspired this episode:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRBNA27N0ts
and
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4YUbYU6LmQ

"But damn, that Fidel is one huge sonzabee and little Petey ain't getting past him"

For me, I needed your retelling Lila, I got distracted by a few errant threads on some throw pillows and went to clip them so missed a bunch so thanks for your commitment. I'd read your recap of the phone book.

Glad Diana went home happy cause I sure ain't. All that build up and I won't get to watch Vitto chase Fifi around the marital bed. Damn

Gianluca - I'll finish putting the training wheels on the bike and you grab Fifi

Aitana - I've experienced only half of Europe

Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize

Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble

Vitto - run fool, you might catch her

Roxy - I got these glasses off some old Italian dude

Fifi - ok, take me back now, I made a promise

Petey - me afraid, naw, there's a substitute teacher today and she never calls row

Thanks for the links to that finale. I had forgotten the thing with the cross. Clever, but I can't imagine Elaine being happy with a man who could compare her to her mother if you get my drift.

Come to think of it, maybe if Pedro had done the same thing with a cross it could have finally fried Vittorio.

This should have interesting consequences.

Doris!! Grazie tantissimo! Yes, we all hit the lottery, we soooo deserve it! Bodus interruptus, indeed!! OW!

I was really hoping for a Pedro / MacGyver moment and was bummed when he simply undid the knots.

I remember MacGyver but refresh me on what you expected?

Thanks for the fashion commentary. I am truly fashion-deprived but I did notice this:

Loved Roxi’s sunglasses, hated her dress. It looked like it was scrunched up into her butt crack.

Yah, Roxi's dress looked liked it had the mother of all static cling cases! Yikes!

I hope Gael's Hot Daddy got rocks, too, Doris! That would be so sweet: him rich and Fiorella the daughter of a Duke!

Sounds like there were a lot of us all around the country yelling at the TV. It was NOT a FF>> night!

Doris, thank you for the links! Oh my gosh, I was so enthralled with what was happening I knew that this was a reference to The Graduate but I let Petey and Fifi have their own moment. The links are priceless. How can that movie have come out almost 50 years ago? Lordy!

Tofita! Grazie, grazie! Girl, sorry you're disappointed but my stomach could NOT have taken this scene :D

Glad Diana went home happy cause I sure ain't. All that build up and I won't get to watch Vitto chase Fifi around the marital bed.

A Tofie list! You know what. Somehow I didn't notice Julieta's boobs. Pretty hilarious:

Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize

Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble.

Knew you would be inspired with some beauties today tofie, but these two are amazing:

"Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize

Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble"

I wanted to say Jule's was doing a bit too much showing up the bride in that dress, but then she dresses like that all the time. So at this point, no one seems to think it extreme. Wonder what she will wear when she becomes the official mother of the bride?

Can we have a chunk of an episode dedicated to just watching Simoneta and Dom romancing? I can see it, a romantic candlelight dinner, sweet nothings being spoken, Simonetta batting her eyes and giggling and dancing. I desperately want to see those two dancing to a slow, sexy romantic tune. I'll put up with a lot of the crud we know is coming if I can see that.

Daisynjay

Oh Lila! I'm so glad you got this episode! I got home a bit late, and was tooling around, then all of a sudden I remembered that it was wedding day on MIVAC! I missed the first 10 mins or so, but got all the good stuff. Yay! Great job recapping it all.

We got a bit of the Graduate in Lichita too, with the groom being taken off by his true love (a man), and the escaped bride getting on the bus and sitting in the back all by herself, to be observed by the perplexed passengers.

Fi looked beautiful and tragic. How many wedding dresses have we seen Fi in, both in fantasy/dreams, the opening credits, and real life? She has looked great in ever single one. Livia Brito should model for bridal magazines.

Want to see more of Gael's hot pop, and Fi's handsome daddy.

Grazie tanto, Vivi! So The Graduate made a big impression all over the world I guess and they can keep referring to it as a whole generation comes along that never heard of it!

Fi WAS beautiful and tragic. Livia Brito does make an absolutely stunning bride, even somber as she was. I can only imagine how beautiful she'll be when she's smiling and glowing and marrying Pedro! ITA about the Hot Daddy'S! YOW!

Ohhh Lila, I was hoping Pedro's MacGyver moment would have him cut those ropes with a tool fashioned from paperclips and rubber bands or Acco clips ... or at least a letter opener .... or have a laser torch app on his phone! LOL But nooo! Just a really lame big ole rope, easily untied.
Well, at least it did not turn into a MacGruber moment.

Did we ever see how they got more air in that motorcycle tire?

Lila, what a descriptive recap. Pure talent!! A million thank yous. Missed a few episodes but catching up this weekend. What an episode. Fi and Pedro finally have their day. Enough sacrificing for everybody. Helloisa, Aitana, her parents and Vitto all got what they truly deserved. Public humiliation. Happy days are here again!!!! The servants show more class than their employers. Simona looked lovely. Julieta is my girl but what the heck was she wearing? No one told her about proper attire for church? Is she competing with the Kadashians or what? Come to think of it, they were all dressed in very poor taste. Santini is so debonair he slays me. Hmmmmm yum!! This new stranger is also very handsome. Uncanny resemblance to Gael. Fidel was getting on my nerves for a minute, till i realized what he was trying to do. He wanted Pedro to be very certain of his decision. He had been so wishy washy in the past. He is more of a father to Pedro than Sergio. Luc is my hero. It took guts to do what he did. Vitto is an embarrassment to all seniors. Is it just me or does his hair change color weekly? Whatever, he has always been dead to me. Rey and Adele are great. Helloisa could learn a lot about love from them. They may be middle class but they sure are full of love.

Hanna

Grazie! Mille grazie, Hanna! Hanna, I hope they let us have some happy days and that from here on out Pedro and Fiorella stay together and really DO fight for their love! We've been frustrated enough!

Yeah, I think Vivi called them the Hot Poppas: Santino, Fiorella's Dad (we think) and Handsome Stranger/Nice Man, Gael's Dad (we think). HS/NM has got to be the best casting I have ever seen!

Hanna, they owe us a great show and we're all ready!

Good afternoon folks. There were some days in which I didn't commented even though I read the recaps but this was a great episode worth of making a party to celebrate it. I loved that scene of Gianluca stopping that farce of wedding. A big hurray for Luca and also for Pietro because for first time he is really fighting for the love of Fiorella.
Also the scenes of Aitana making a scandal were wonderful. Jajaja she was acting like a 5 year old girl doing her tantrums, that was so funny. But I agree that with this humilliation she is gonna go more crazy. I felt a little bit bad for her though, maybe if her parents were not so greedy she could have a better life.
Oh yeah Fidel indeed was very annoying yesterday but he also has been in other moments when he has counseled Pietro to give an opportunity to Aitana or at the beginning of the novela when he counseled Pietro to keep hiding to grandma his relation with Tania.

Hey, Marla! It WAS a great episode, wasn't it?! Pedro and Fiorella may have captured our imagination but they sure have made a bunch of enemies: name everybody except Gianna, Gael, Fidel, Benito and Simoneta. I think Quina will be upset because of the "crazy" class-mixing ideas it might give Roxi and Benni! We KNOW Eloisa, Osvaldo, Sonia, Freddie, Benigno, Aitana and Celeste will be LIVID! Julieta might be OK but if Sergio think his meal ticket is jeopardized by Pedro's actions, he's going to pissed, too! Not sure what role slimy Fabio plays in all this or if he is really leaving the country. I've got the feeling that Fabio is the type to figure out a way to play both ends against the middle so he can come out on top either way. Oh yeah, no excuse for this not to be a great show all the way to the end!

And lilagirl, your Recapin abilities just put the icing on the wedding cakes. Hahahaha!!!! I krack me Up. :-D. Thank you for this very hilariously & Very funny satisfying recap. Yah bay bay!!!!!!!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Lila. Yes, I agree that Fiorella and Pietro still are gonna have to fight very hard against a net of snakes, scorpions, and wild animals to defend their love. Helloisa is gonna be very mad because Pietro disobeyed and challenged her, Seeweed hair mad for the humilliation of being left dressed and rowdy in the church, and if Vittorio finds out that it was Pietro who robbed his virgin bride from him oh Lord save us. Oh Assvaldo and Sonia surely are gonna want to approach this moment to destroy Pietro's image with Helloisa. As to Fabio, maybe he knows perfectly what Pietro wanted to talk about and he just tried to avoid him. Surely he doesn't want to have more problems with Assvaldo if he tells Pietro that Ass boy knew that Benigno and Aitana swindled the company and that he approached that information to his benefit. Fabio already had enough problems with Ass when he had that affair with Sonia and when she got pregnant. Ass boy accused him of a making a swindle in Acorp.

Nina! Grazie, child! Yes, we got a good one and it should only get better from here. SHOULD get better. I'm going to stay positive though! I was so happy, Nina! All of us who have hung with this thing should be pretty pleased.

And Marla, yes, Assvaldo's invovlement with the attempted takeover of ACorp has to be revealed and you're right about Fabio. He WAS avoiding Pedro. ACorp is FULL of snakes and scorpions as is the Angeles homestead. Hoo boy!

Oh knowing Assvaldo, he will find his way out of that mess too. After all, Pietro only has proofs against Beg and Seaweed hair but if they fall oh surely they are capable of dragging Ass and Sonia with them. Pietro needs to remember the things that he has heard Assvaldo tell Beg and analyze very well why beg insisted too much on putting Ass on charge of the merge. But oh well we still got like 60 episodes more going on if they dont edit so lets hope that at least fiorella and pietro have a hot and pretty honeymoon before they return to the hell ranch.

LIIIILA! You hit the Double Jeopardy square with this episode, everything we've been longing for seemed to happen and the recap did it full justice. Grazie, grazie!
It's good to be on the patio tonight as it is dreary, drizzly and rainy here on the West Coast.
Fiorella, "beautifully made up bride of the living dead". Thank you, show, for stopping it before the "I do".
Loved Simoneta in hot pink, loved the Nice Guy who looks like Gael's Dad, loved GianLuca's diversion tactic to halt the wedding, loved Aitana's little snit-fit in the limo. Whew! There was alot to love in this episode!
One question: what happened after Julieta overheard Sergio apparently setting up a "date" with someone on the phone? What did she confront him later? They are acting normal with each other at the wedding.

Cheers all--
J in Oregon

Anonymous I think that some scenes of Julieta and Sergio were cut out in Thursdays episode because they combined episodes 105 and 106. But I remembered that I watched in the internet that Sergio confessed to Juli that the girl was helping him look for her daughter. I am not sure if the scene was passed on Univision, when they edit usually they cut from this couple.

Lila, thank you for the recap!

If she'd married Vitto, I'd have stopped watching this TN. I couldn't take one more night of Pedro and Fi whining and crying.

Okay I think they cut out that scene on Univision. I was checking and it was on episode 106 in minute 26 where Julieta complained to sergo about that woman.

Cynderella, I don't think those whining conversations are over. With 70 more episodes to go I think we're still in for more because the real wedding of Pedro and Fiorella is more likely to be saved until the finale.

I wonder whether it's still possible to sue for breach of promise in Mexico. That doesn't happen in the US anymore. I could see Aitana doing this, especially in view of what I think will be the usual delays in getting that bad-faith stock deal straightened out.

MARLA--thanks for the snipping update on Sergio's phone call. I thought maybe I had looked away and missed it.

Buongiorno, Muchacha Patio Peeps! Let's see what's up!

Marla, from your keyboard to the tn gods' ears!

J in Oregon!!!!! Benvenuto e mille grazie! So good to see you here on the Patio!! Yes, our collective moans were heard and my hope is, as I've stated ad infinitum in this recap, my hope is that it gets better here on out.

Making my way down comments so don't know if someone answered: If Julieta did anything or said anything after hearing what sure did sound like a flirtatious call with a honey in Italy, they didn't reveal it or it was edited out.

I'm hoping Sergio knows someone in the hall of records or whatever it might be called or a newspaper or other media outlet that can get at records of what happened to baby Fiorella after the Roman family had the car accident! Sergio might well be the one to help inform Julietta, Santino and Fiorella of Fifi's true identity!

Okay, I see from Marla's next comment that my guess was not far off! Thanks, Marla!

Mille grazie, Cynderella! Girl, we were all about at the end of our ropes! Please bring your humorous and stinging wit back to the Patio anytime! Grazie!

Urban, I hope we all have been fortified by what we've suffered thus far! I'm so happy to see something different, even if it is an adaptation of a classic scene from a nearly 50 year old movie: ANYthing is better than what we've had so far. We'll keep our fingers crossed!

:D

Different would have been Vitto and Fif married and her with child cornering Petey at grandma's house begging him to take her back. I'd watch that.

Gracias, Lila! I'm finally diving into the recap, and I can feel the excitement already :D

"a perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse" great description! And I agree, only "somewhat" animated.

I dunno if we missed something with Fabio or it's just one of those weird coincidences that's done purely for the sake of plot. Why would somebody actually call the bride/groom directly, on their wedding day, to say they aren't coming? Why wouldn't they call the best man/maid of honor, or some designated family member whose job it is to field those calls, plus calls from whoever else is freaking out about something? Why meet him at La Dolce Vita? Why not meet him at the airport, since that's where he's headed? Why...to free Luca, of course! All that fuss, because some irresponsible writer left our Italian pretty boy tied up in the wine cellar and didn't think about how to get him back OUT!

"Simoneta's bright pink, flowing dress is eye catching and she looks lovely." That's right, baby, my homegirl has it going on! The color, the loose hair, the hat that's just wacky enough to be awesome...she was radiant! I'm just hoping that the jacket comes off at some point, because it's just sort of droopy and shapeless, and I'm hoping there's something more revealing underneath. Although, from Domingo's reaction, maybe it was better not to dazzle him with the whole package at first sight ;) And right on to your comment on Benito...no, dude, you do not get to have ALL the girls! Also, I got a kick out of Joaquina having to keep reminding her not to flirt in church :D

"Santino opens the door and greets her and assists her out of the car" I will admit, I got a tiny bit misty. I know they threw that in just for our benefit, since we're the only ones who know.

OK, seriously, Aitana's whining from inside the car about the heat, and the wait...why didn't they just have someone turn the car back on and drive it around the block? Or bring her inside to wait. Or have someone coordinating with the driver to say "The groom's not here yet" so they didn't stop in the first place?

"Fidel becomes a human brick wall and stops him cold!" I was ready to kick Fidel. Are there multiple Fidels? There's the "What about the family?" Fidel and the "Follow your heart" Fidel?

"He's the Nice Man in the park!!" Oh my goodness, and didn't he look like Gael's daddy? The eyes!

I loved Pedro and Luca's plan, though Pedro and Fi delayed so much, I was starting to worry they wouldn't make it!

"YAH BAY-BAY! Bout damn time!!! WHOO HOOOO!!" You said it! I wish they'd just end it now before they screw it up some more on Monday.

After reading through the comments about Fidel, you have convinced me not to kick him in the shins at this time.

Plus he did procure the getaway vehicle--at least, that was my impression, that he'd found some random person with a motorcycle and bought it off them. He said something like "I forgot to get the helmets," and that was not the same kind of motorcycle that Pedro had earlier, so that's what my brain filled in.

LaDiva-"I just wish they'd end it now before
They screw it up some more monday". Nooooooo!!!!!!!
Monday it's just gonna be better. This is the
Best its been since it's been on, it'll just get
Better, I hope. Yall the comments are as good as the recap. Keep em comin. :-D

Mille grazie,Diva! not used to commenting on my phone... Awkward..more later.

Ok. Diva, thank you for that bit on the motorcycle. I did hear Fidel say that he couldn't find helmets but I totally missed that it was a different bike! Ooops! Well, hey, that's what Patio-mates are for. Well, we're a little over 24 hours away from finding out what Petey and Fifi do next now that they've run away aaaaand the fallout. First, I guess there will be a certain degree of shock, so, anywho, it ought to be interesting!

I don't have rehearsal tomorrow night, so I actually get to watch early.

And how sad is it that this is the first time in a long time that that has been a happy thought!

Fidel should have gone to Hertz and rented them a car. Instead Petey & Fifi get putt round in an open air bubble like they did before on the ATV and it will all burst at end of day.

That would make a great "Enterprise: We'll pick you up." commercial. The agent pulls up outside the church and Pedro and Fi are screaming "Keep the motor running!" They drive off with all the wedding guests running after them. Vittorio gets winded and collapses. Diana drags him back to her den, never to be heard from again.

Thank you for a really great week, Lila and 5ft! I watched it all this weekend and wanted to put in my 2 cents worth before tonight's show. Can we please, please have just one day - oh heck, make it one whole week - where we can rejoice with the characters we love and watch the bad guys get their just desserts? I know that's not supposed to happen 'til the end, but if there are really going to be 60 more episodes I could use a little taste of happy ending right now. Please!
Ann C.

Lila-"all that buildup and I won't get to see vitto chase fiorella around the marital bed".
Nothing probably would have come of it anyway, he chase her around the marital bed and then he goes and grabs her & drop dead from exhaustion. Hahaha!!!!!! well he's claiming to be dying anyway, Stands to reason he'd drop dead. okays Its Christmas I'll be nice, even Diana deserves a piece of old Coal in her stocking. Ho Ho Ho!!!!

No puede ser! No lo puedo creer! I actually watched this episode again! LOL Talk about true confessions to the Patio.... but I had to watch it all over again because this has been the best episode, so far.

This time, I noticed Domingo tripping on a step as he stared into Simoneta's face, while they were entering the church. So cute! No doubt we will return to the usual tontería tonight, but I'm just glad Pedro grew a pair and actually did something, for a change.

The fall-out of standing up hair-on-a-stick won't be pretty.

Mille grazie, Ann C! You speak my heart:

Can we please, please have just one day - oh heck, make it one whole week - where we can rejoice with the characters we love and watch the bad guys get their just desserts?

That would be soooo loverly! A lot of these novelas lately have been tiring and downright aggravating! Hang with us on the Patio, Ann C. We may need a lot of support in the coming weeks or, if they have listened to our pleas, there's a lot of celebrating to do!

Don't be ashamed, Doris! There is a real air of disbelief in Friday's events. It'd better not be a dream!

I can't take credit for that creative, and gladly imaginary scene about Vitto chasing Fifi around the marital bed. That was Tofie! ;D
