It's about time Pedro and Fiorella quit behaving like idiots.
I wonder what Eloisa's reaction will be, have a feeling she might go ballistic.
Aitana might shape up to be a worse villain considering the fact that Pedro stood her up.
Vitto's embarrassment in the church made me literally jump for joy, after lying for so long, this is the least he deserves.
Elorej
Vitto's embarrassment in the church made me literally jump for joy, after lying for so long, this is the least he deserves.
Yes, that's the absolute least he deserves and I see HIM as becoming a worse villian than before! As a matter of fact Assvaldo, Sonia, Freddie, Dante, and Vitto are likely to go much darker. Wonder what Diana is going to do, other than trying to rip off Vitto because she definitely feels she's got a shot at the old geezer now.
Thanks, and I hope you hang with us, Elorej!
I knew that Gianluca would have to have something to do with this and yes, this is the least Vittorio deserves for all the lying and manipulation. Can't remember who wrote The Graduate but that iconic ending has become a new novela cliche.
More later after I catch up to Poder.
I especially liked
"perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse"
"Frddie comes u to piss on their legs"
"The light and festive air has become dark and suffoating."
I didn't understand how Pedro's tire got fixed.
After all the lying, I was overjoyed that Vitto and Aitana were publically humiliiated.
I suppose that Vitto's honeymoon is going to turn out different than how he thought, thank God. Who wears sun glasses to the altar on their wedding day?
David
After agonizing weeks of wondering what we were going to get this day, it played out great. Hair on a stick throwing her requisite tantrum and Vitto being made to look like the old lying Frankenstein that he is. Never thought it would be Petey who found Luca, but that was the perfect plot to play out for The Graduate pay-off.
Love how the mood of Fi's wedding was bright colors and music while Petey's group was donned in black and gloom. (And what the blazes was Eloisa wearing? She gets my vote for worst dressed.) And I though I wanted to wring Fidel's neck there for a sec, but then I think he was doing that to make Petey drive in the final nail as to what was the most important to him. He broke the Eloisa apron string.
But as much as antics were fun, and there were times I was yelling at my TV, "Just shut up already.STOP talking!" at people, my real enjoyment was watching Simonetta and Dom. OH my stars...they were adorable! And then the appearance of Gael's daddy. What perfect casting! Swear those two were related and he better stick around because he is soooo pretty. (Yes, I am that shallow.)
Coming attractions were VERY interesting. I am actually excited to see Monday's episode.
And welcome Elorej!!
Daisynjay
Lila, Lila, I never know if you're using current slang or just you own inimitable gift of language but "crotch rocket" was a new one for me! Anyway, our formerly wussy galan did look very manly on his motorcycle.
Interesting visuals last night. Fiorella, with her hair and frozen face looked very Geisha-like.
Simona was simply resplendent and darn near overpowering in her flaming pink hat and dress, and Domingo looked like a happy little flea ready to hop onto that adorable pink pachyderm. Loved the spark between those two.
Knew from the moment I saw the stranger's eyes that he was Gael's papa. They certainly cast that one right.
Fed's garb is always unique and I loved your line "comes up to piss on their legs". I'm liking her more and more.
Finally, the dreadful Aitana did have a lovely coiffure last night. As my own hair thins, I'm feeling a wee bit of envy for those magnificent manes.
And Lordy, the actress playing Julieta. I doubt if the priest could concentrate on the ceremony with that vista in the pews. In addition to her other amazing endowments, she certainly has lovely broad shoulders. She would have been great as a competitive swimmer.
Glad you got such an exciting and happy episode, Lila, as you have had to handle some dreary ones as well. Thanks as always.
Your enthusiasm was so infectious, I felt myself smiling throughout. Finally, Fiorella and Pedro were rescued from Vitto and Aitana's evil clutches! How exciting.
"Gianna thinks Fiorella is the one who is beautiful, and she is, like a perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse", "Freddie comes up to piss on their legs", " Fiorella says it is through a mouth that doesn't smile and eyes that are feverish with tears" and "She begins to abuse the fine Corinthian leather inside the car" were among my favorites. "Fiorella is in sacrificial lamb shock" was perfect.
"Simoneta's bright pink, flowing dress is eye catching and she looks lovely". Yes, she certainly did! And hope for a romance for our favorite, sweet, bright beauty? Wonderful!
Judy, ITA that everything possible was thrown in the way of Pedro stopping the wedding! I was actually yelling at Fidel to let Pedro go! For heaven's sake man, now is not the time to get philosophical and practical. Good intentions but not now when Fiorella needs to be rescued from the selfish Vitto.
Loved seeing Fi and Pedro escaping from the church, a very "The Graduate" move.
"After agonizing weeks of wondering what we were going to get this day, it played out great". Yes daisy!
If only that were the last scene but I suspect Monday will be time for the repercussions to begin. Sigh.
Welcome Elorej.
Diana
Too bad, so sad. NOT.
Fiorella is far too vibrant to be condemned to this kind of servitude even if the man were Gianluca's age. Like I've said before, Vittorio should have gone to Stepford.
We don't know Gael's father's name, so we better find out ASAP along with whether he has any dinero.
Is he Gael's father?? I thought it might be his brother (there seemed to be a resemblance.
I'm confused...
Diana (still partying Lila :))
Oh, Diana, it was just so good I may back to watch it again. Maybe I will after chores: It's going to be a Patio weekend as I check out PyP and the weekend discussion but this was too sweet!
If only that were the last scene but I suspect Monday will be time for the repercussions to begin. Sigh.
That's why we got to PAR-TAY, Diana! I hope a lot of our friends who watch only once in a while, or with the volume down or laying heavily on the FF>> button will stop by! Only spreading of cheer allowed though, guys, we've had enough agony!
Yes, Diana, as the handsome stranger looked at Gael, he had a flashback to playing in the park with young Gael and his Mom and for the first time in the flashback we saw The Nice Man's face and then they switched to the present and The Handsome Stranger is The Nice Man, but older. And having aged like fine wine, I might add!
Elaaaaainnnnneee!!!!! BODUS INTERRUPTUS!!! Yesssss! Squeeeee! The Simon & Garfunkel music was playing in my head.
That big rope Vitto used to tie up Luca looks like one that is used to tie up a 100-ft yacht. QTH? I was really hoping for a Pedro / MacGyver moment and was bummed when he simply undid the knots. ~meh~
Aitana has her Bridezilla moment. Her mom’s hair was a complete bed-head disaster. I hope she did not tip the hairstylist.
Julieta’s boobage and cleavage were totally inappropriate, especially for a daytime wedding. Talk about your crimes of fashion. Yikes.
Simoneta making eyes at Domingo, even during the wedding, was hilarious. I just love her!
Loved Roxi’s sunglasses, hated her dress. It looked like it was scrunched up into her butt crack.
Fiorella was beautiful and so was her dress.
Oh wow. Gael's bio-dad, no doubt about it. Quelle hottie! The anti-Assvaldo Sr&Jr. I hope he is richer than the Los Angeles.
Our wussy galan finally looked manly (to me) when he was trying to get past Fidel and into the church. This is the most animated he has been since before this telenovela began.
I kept yelling at my TV for Luca and Gi to run on in there and stop that wedding!!! Sheesh.
For our younger Patio peeps, and those who wish to relive the original, here are the two videos you need to copy & paste, and watch in order, that inspired this episode:

and

For me, I needed your retelling Lila, I got distracted by a few errant threads on some throw pillows and went to clip them so missed a bunch so thanks for your commitment. I'd read your recap of the phone book.
Glad Diana went home happy cause I sure ain't. All that build up and I won't get to watch Vitto chase Fifi around the marital bed. Damn
Gianluca - I'll finish putting the training wheels on the bike and you grab Fifi
Aitana - I've experienced only half of Europe
Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize
Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble
Vitto - run fool, you might catch her
Roxy - I got these glasses off some old Italian dude
Fifi - ok, take me back now, I made a promise
Petey - me afraid, naw, there's a substitute teacher today and she never calls row
Come to think of it, maybe if Pedro had done the same thing with a cross it could have finally fried Vittorio.
This should have interesting consequences.
I was really hoping for a Pedro / MacGyver moment and was bummed when he simply undid the knots.
I remember MacGyver but refresh me on what you expected?
Thanks for the fashion commentary. I am truly fashion-deprived but I did notice this:
Loved Roxi’s sunglasses, hated her dress. It looked like it was scrunched up into her butt crack.
Yah, Roxi's dress looked liked it had the mother of all static cling cases! Yikes!
I hope Gael's Hot Daddy got rocks, too, Doris! That would be so sweet: him rich and Fiorella the daughter of a Duke!
Sounds like there were a lot of us all around the country yelling at the TV. It was NOT a FF>> night!
Doris, thank you for the links! Oh my gosh, I was so enthralled with what was happening I knew that this was a reference to The Graduate but I let Petey and Fifi have their own moment. The links are priceless. How can that movie have come out almost 50 years ago? Lordy!
Glad Diana went home happy cause I sure ain't. All that build up and I won't get to watch Vitto chase Fifi around the marital bed.
A Tofie list! You know what. Somehow I didn't notice Julieta's boobs. Pretty hilarious:
Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize
Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble.
"Julieta - step right up boys, guess my breast size and win a prize
Domingo - how in hell have I missed you, you scrumptious piece of double bubble"
I wanted to say Jule's was doing a bit too much showing up the bride in that dress, but then she dresses like that all the time. So at this point, no one seems to think it extreme. Wonder what she will wear when she becomes the official mother of the bride?
Can we have a chunk of an episode dedicated to just watching Simoneta and Dom romancing? I can see it, a romantic candlelight dinner, sweet nothings being spoken, Simonetta batting her eyes and giggling and dancing. I desperately want to see those two dancing to a slow, sexy romantic tune. I'll put up with a lot of the crud we know is coming if I can see that.
Daisynjay
We got a bit of the Graduate in Lichita too, with the groom being taken off by his true love (a man), and the escaped bride getting on the bus and sitting in the back all by herself, to be observed by the perplexed passengers.
Fi looked beautiful and tragic. How many wedding dresses have we seen Fi in, both in fantasy/dreams, the opening credits, and real life? She has looked great in ever single one. Livia Brito should model for bridal magazines.
Want to see more of Gael's hot pop, and Fi's handsome daddy.
Fi WAS beautiful and tragic. Livia Brito does make an absolutely stunning bride, even somber as she was. I can only imagine how beautiful she'll be when she's smiling and glowing and marrying Pedro! ITA about the Hot Daddy'S! YOW!
Well, at least it did not turn into a MacGruber moment.
Did we ever see how they got more air in that motorcycle tire?
♪♪ ♪ "Just get me to the church on time . . . " ♪ ♪♪
Hanna
Yeah, I think Vivi called them the Hot Poppas: Santino, Fiorella's Dad (we think) and Handsome Stranger/Nice Man, Gael's Dad (we think). HS/NM has got to be the best casting I have ever seen!
Hanna, they owe us a great show and we're all ready!
Good afternoon folks. There were some days in which I didn't commented even though I read the recaps but this was a great episode worth of making a party to celebrate it. I loved that scene of Gianluca stopping that farce of wedding. A big hurray for Luca and also for Pietro because for first time he is really fighting for the love of Fiorella.
Also the scenes of Aitana making a scandal were wonderful. Jajaja she was acting like a 5 year old girl doing her tantrums, that was so funny. But I agree that with this humilliation she is gonna go more crazy. I felt a little bit bad for her though, maybe if her parents were not so greedy she could have a better life.
Oh yeah Fidel indeed was very annoying yesterday but he also has been in other moments when he has counseled Pietro to give an opportunity to Aitana or at the beginning of the novela when he counseled Pietro to keep hiding to grandma his relation with Tania.
This was the best episode ever. I can't wait for monday nite to get here. Merry, Merry, OO
Merry christmas. I Totally Agree, "about dam
Time!!!"
"At El Rancho, in the girls bedroom Giana and
Fiorella share a moment before she goes off
To.......I can't even say it." I can. Shes going
Off to "death by marriage". Poor baby, such a
Beautiful bride, and so miserable.
Did yall happen to notice how happy the folk
Were at the dead guy in a tux/fiorella funeral, and how sad the folk were at the "hair in a wedding gown/pedro "night of the living dead?" I love that scene where gianluca comes Into the church and declares his fake love to brake up the Sad nuptials. Iam so lovin this. And lilagirl, your Recapin abilities just put the icing on the wedding cakes. Hahahaha!!!! I krack me Up. :-D. Thank you for this very hilariously & Very funny satisfying recap. Yah bay bay!!!!!!!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Lila. Yes, I agree that Fiorella and Pietro still are gonna have to fight very hard against a net of snakes, scorpions, and wild animals to defend their love. Helloisa is gonna be very mad because Pietro disobeyed and challenged her, Seeweed hair mad for the humilliation of being left dressed and rowdy in the church, and if Vittorio finds out that it was Pietro who robbed his virgin bride from him oh Lord save us. Oh Assvaldo and Sonia surely are gonna want to approach this moment to destroy Pietro's image with Helloisa. As to Fabio, maybe he knows perfectly what Pietro wanted to talk about and he just tried to avoid him. Surely he doesn't want to have more problems with Assvaldo if he tells Pietro that Ass boy knew that Benigno and Aitana swindled the company and that he approached that information to his benefit. Fabio already had enough problems with Ass when he had that affair with Sonia and when she got pregnant. Ass boy accused him of a making a swindle in Acorp.
And Marla, yes, Assvaldo's invovlement with the attempted takeover of ACorp has to be revealed and you're right about Fabio. He WAS avoiding Pedro. ACorp is FULL of snakes and scorpions as is the Angeles homestead. Hoo boy!
Oh knowing Assvaldo, he will find his way out of that mess too. After all, Pietro only has proofs against Beg and Seaweed hair but if they fall oh surely they are capable of dragging Ass and Sonia with them. Pietro needs to remember the things that he has heard Assvaldo tell Beg and analyze very well why beg insisted too much on putting Ass on charge of the merge. But oh well we still got like 60 episodes more going on if they dont edit so lets hope that at least fiorella and pietro have a hot and pretty honeymoon before they return to the hell ranch.
It's good to be on the patio tonight as it is dreary, drizzly and rainy here on the West Coast.
Fiorella, "beautifully made up bride of the living dead". Thank you, show, for stopping it before the "I do".
Loved Simoneta in hot pink, loved the Nice Guy who looks like Gael's Dad, loved GianLuca's diversion tactic to halt the wedding, loved Aitana's little snit-fit in the limo. Whew! There was alot to love in this episode!
One question: what happened after Julieta overheard Sergio apparently setting up a "date" with someone on the phone? What did she confront him later? They are acting normal with each other at the wedding.
Cheers all--
J in Oregon
Anonymous I think that some scenes of Julieta and Sergio were cut out in Thursdays episode because they combined episodes 105 and 106. But I remembered that I watched in the internet that Sergio confessed to Juli that the girl was helping him look for her daughter. I am not sure if the scene was passed on Univision, when they edit usually they cut from this couple.
If she'd married Vitto, I'd have stopped watching this TN. I couldn't take one more night of Pedro and Fi whining and crying.
Okay I think they cut out that scene on Univision. I was checking and it was on episode 106 in minute 26 where Julieta complained to sergo about that woman.
I wonder whether it's still possible to sue for breach of promise in Mexico. That doesn't happen in the US anymore. I could see Aitana doing this, especially in view of what I think will be the usual delays in getting that bad-faith stock deal straightened out.
J in Oregon
we still got like 60 episodes more going on if they dont edit so lets hope that at least fiorella and pietro have a hot and pretty honeymoon before they return to the hell ranch.
Marla, from your keyboard to the tn gods' ears!
J in Oregon!!!!! Benvenuto e mille grazie! So good to see you here on the Patio!! Yes, our collective moans were heard and my hope is, as I've stated ad infinitum in this recap, my hope is that it gets better here on out.
Making my way down comments so don't know if someone answered: If Julieta did anything or said anything after hearing what sure did sound like a flirtatious call with a honey in Italy, they didn't reveal it or it was edited out.
I'm hoping Sergio knows someone in the hall of records or whatever it might be called or a newspaper or other media outlet that can get at records of what happened to baby Fiorella after the Roman family had the car accident! Sergio might well be the one to help inform Julietta, Santino and Fiorella of Fifi's true identity!
Okay, I see from Marla's next comment that my guess was not far off! Thanks, Marla!
Mille grazie, Cynderella! Girl, we were all about at the end of our ropes! Please bring your humorous and stinging wit back to the Patio anytime! Grazie!
Urban, I hope we all have been fortified by what we've suffered thus far! I'm so happy to see something different, even if it is an adaptation of a classic scene from a nearly 50 year old movie: ANYthing is better than what we've had so far. We'll keep our fingers crossed!
:D
Pretty man. That would explain where gael
Gets his good looks. That Is a pretty man.
This actor actually looks like the guy thats
Playing gael. Those eyes are gorgeous. Are
They real life bio related? He maybe relieved
That assvaldo sr is gone, but the wife not so much. I hope He Is his dad, and he Is filthy stinkin rich, and is A good hearted person like gael, his son. O Please let him be his father guardians of the Telenova universe.
I saw this music vidio with characters on the
Show, and every body in love or lust was lip
Lockin with there kissin parteners. And who
Did I see liplockin in the vidio?, vitto and lady
Freeloadin diana. And assy was with the hairy wonder. Now this was a music vidio
Not a spoiler. They were kissin to the theme song. I can't even remember the site I saw it on. It was ineresting for awhile. Then I just
Went to something else.
I noticed that fidel was a big man awhile back. He almost need a bra. He's a big beefy
Sweet man. Quina better grab ahold and don't let go. I didn't notice fiorella's dress until she was running away with pedro, that was a beautiful gown. Im so glad she knows what a lying liar the corsp in a tux is. Aaaaah freedom is so sweet.
"a perfectly made up, somewhat animated corpse" great description! And I agree, only "somewhat" animated.
I dunno if we missed something with Fabio or it's just one of those weird coincidences that's done purely for the sake of plot. Why would somebody actually call the bride/groom directly, on their wedding day, to say they aren't coming? Why wouldn't they call the best man/maid of honor, or some designated family member whose job it is to field those calls, plus calls from whoever else is freaking out about something? Why meet him at La Dolce Vita? Why not meet him at the airport, since that's where he's headed? Why...to free Luca, of course! All that fuss, because some irresponsible writer left our Italian pretty boy tied up in the wine cellar and didn't think about how to get him back OUT!
"Simoneta's bright pink, flowing dress is eye catching and she looks lovely." That's right, baby, my homegirl has it going on! The color, the loose hair, the hat that's just wacky enough to be awesome...she was radiant! I'm just hoping that the jacket comes off at some point, because it's just sort of droopy and shapeless, and I'm hoping there's something more revealing underneath. Although, from Domingo's reaction, maybe it was better not to dazzle him with the whole package at first sight ;) And right on to your comment on Benito...no, dude, you do not get to have ALL the girls! Also, I got a kick out of Joaquina having to keep reminding her not to flirt in church :D
"Santino opens the door and greets her and assists her out of the car" I will admit, I got a tiny bit misty. I know they threw that in just for our benefit, since we're the only ones who know.
OK, seriously, Aitana's whining from inside the car about the heat, and the wait...why didn't they just have someone turn the car back on and drive it around the block? Or bring her inside to wait. Or have someone coordinating with the driver to say "The groom's not here yet" so they didn't stop in the first place?
"Fidel becomes a human brick wall and stops him cold!" I was ready to kick Fidel. Are there multiple Fidels? There's the "What about the family?" Fidel and the "Follow your heart" Fidel?
"He's the Nice Man in the park!!" Oh my goodness, and didn't he look like Gael's daddy? The eyes!
I loved Pedro and Luca's plan, though Pedro and Fi delayed so much, I was starting to worry they wouldn't make it!
"YAH BAY-BAY! Bout damn time!!! WHOO HOOOO!!" You said it! I wish they'd just end it now before they screw it up some more on Monday.
Plus he did procure the getaway vehicle--at least, that was my impression, that he'd found some random person with a motorcycle and bought it off them. He said something like "I forgot to get the helmets," and that was not the same kind of motorcycle that Pedro had earlier, so that's what my brain filled in.
They screw it up some more monday". Nooooooo!!!!!!!
Monday it's just gonna be better. This is the
Best its been since it's been on, it'll just get
Better, I hope. Yall the comments are as good as the recap. Keep em comin. :-D
And how sad is it that this is the first time in a long time that that has been a happy thought!
Ann C.
Nothing probably would have come of it anyway, he chase her around the marital bed and then he goes and grabs her & drop dead from exhaustion. Hahaha!!!!!! well he's claiming to be dying anyway, Stands to reason he'd drop dead. okays Its Christmas I'll be nice, even Diana deserves a piece of old Coal in her stocking. Ho Ho Ho!!!!
This time, I noticed Domingo tripping on a step as he stared into Simoneta's face, while they were entering the church. So cute! No doubt we will return to the usual tontería tonight, but I'm just glad Pedro grew a pair and actually did something, for a change.
The fall-out of standing up hair-on-a-stick won't be pretty.
Can we please, please have just one day - oh heck, make it one whole week - where we can rejoice with the characters we love and watch the bad guys get their just desserts?
That would be soooo loverly! A lot of these novelas lately have been tiring and downright aggravating! Hang with us on the Patio, Ann C. We may need a lot of support in the coming weeks or, if they have listened to our pleas, there's a lot of celebrating to do!
Don't be ashamed, Doris! There is a real air of disbelief in Friday's events. It'd better not be a dream!
