Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #102 1-20-16 A Tearful Reunion and a Challenge to the Empire!

Ciao, miei cari amici del MIVAC Patio!  Hello, beloved friends of the MIVAC Patio!  Here's tonight's highlights, not necessarily in order of broadcast.

  • Vitto is on the verge of being evicted from his two restaurant properties.  I feel sorry for Domingo!  Vitto makes a grand statement of happily giving everything he owns for Diana to get her son back.  Anibal believes he is perfectly positioned to move in to snare Julieta and Sergio via the fake response he sent to their internet post.
  • Gianna and Fiorella discuss Fiorella's perhaps going to Maratea to investigate their origins.  Fiorella protests she doesn't have the money to return to Italy.  Gigi reminds her she's the wife of a rich man and gets a lecture on a woman needing to have some income of her own to maintain a degree of independence.
  • The discarded Dust Mop shows up, meets with Assvaldo who rejects her offer of a "bed massage."  After she throws his affair with Alina in his face, he tells her to get lost for good.

Here's the BIG ACTION!

  • Pedro and his Mother, Pilar, reunite in a less-creepy, very emotional scene, especially when Sergio joins them for a group sob and embrace.  Pedro tells the whole house Pilar has miraculously appeared.  Everybody is appropriately shocked and everyone wonders where she was, how she got there, generally what the hell happened.
  • Recapper pats herself on the back because, as predicted, Pedro fully regains his sight, albeit somewhat fuzzy, when he fully reunites with his Mom.  And yes, the stuffed horsey is Albano and she gives it to Pedro to protect him.  Freddie, who is hiding outside Pedro's bedroom, hears her say this and knows that the proof is in the stuffed horsey.
  • Dr. Elizalde examines Pilar and Pedro.  Pedro is fine but Pilar has obviously suffered severe trauma and  is out of touch with reality.  He asks Pedro to avoid letting her see the whole family at once.  She could become more confused and disoriented.  Elizalde is also concerned Pedro could have a relapse.
  • Julieta talks to Santino about having received a response from their internet post.  He hears distress in her voice and she shares that Sergio's wife has miraculously returned from the dead.  He empathizes with how uncomfortable she must feel.  He plans to come to Mexico the next day.  They will meet and talk.
  • Sonia offers Julieta some comfort over how she must feel with Pilar's sudden reappearance.  Sonia shares with Julieta that she is pregnant again.  Hugs!
  • Pedro ignores recapper's screams to not leave his ovbiously traumatized, resurrected Mommy alone with the Demon Dante but he ignores me.  Dante threatens her and takes poor little Albanito from her (the stuffed horsey) and leaves her sobbing and cowering while one of the useless security staff watches her.  [Thanks to J in O and Doris, here is Dante's threat]:  "Una palabra, una sola polabra sobre el nacimiento de Gabriel, y te mato a ti, mato a Pedro, mato a Sergio. . . ."  "One word about Gabriel's birth and I will kill you, Pedro and Sergio. . ."

  • Dante gives Albanito to Freddie who rips him open and she finds inside the document that signed over her Father, Gabriel's property to Maximo.  The signature on the document is obviously forged.  Freddie is over the freaking moon!
  • Fiorella is sweet, solicitous and tender when she meets Pilar.  In a later scene she retrieves  poor, disemboweled Albanito and his stuffing from Simoneta:  it was Pedro's favorite toy and she is going to repair it!
  • Eloisa talks to Pilar alone.  Eloisa gently touches the trembling and sobbing Pilar.  "We were told you were dead and it happened so fast!  I was so surprised that Maximo handled all the arrangements so quickly.  We didn't even have a vigil, they wouldn't let me see you!  They told me ("No, ya esta sellada la caja.") the coffin was sealed and I thought it was because they didn't want to traumatize Pedro because he was so young."  Eloisa strategically, not meanly or tauntingly, shows Pilar Maximo's picture and Pilar freaking freaks out.  Eloisa asks and Pilar confirms that Maximo is responsible for her disappearance.  Eloisa seems very affected and cries with Pilar.
  • Sergio sobs to Pedro out of a tremendous sense of guilt that he did not fulfill his duty as Pilar's husband to protect his wife and Pedro's mother.  He feels he should have been suspicious about the way things were handled and he admits to Pedro that he treated Pilar badly while they were married.  Eloisa comes in and tells Sergio to suck it up and stop acting like a ninny.  She tells them of Pilar's reaction to Maximo's picture and announces with a decided edge of fury that by all indications Maximo is responsible for what happened to Pilar, the faked death, funeral, everything!  Sergio needs to keep calm until they can find out the whole truth!  Pedro and Sergio are shocked!
  • Eloisa is gathered with the whole family and talks frankly about Maximo having everything to do with Pilar's disappearance and being traumatized out of her mind.  Before everyone can react Freddie waltzes in to the front door with her lawyer.  Eloisa tells Dante to call the police.  Freddie responds, "Yah, Dante, call the police and have them come dig up Maximo and arrest him for fraud.  I have the proof I have always wanted!  I have proof that Maximo cheated my Father out of his property and half the Angeles fortune belongs to me!"

Thanks again to Sneaky Two Shoes for Tuesday's WONDERful recap!

Y'all feel free to correct or expand on anything!

Gosh, LILA, there was so much crammed into this episode...I loved your big, dramatic BULLETS! Bam, bam, bam! Totally captured the high drama of tonight's show. Thank you for jumping on the recap so quickly and laying it all out on the grill.

I was cringing for poor Pilar, ouch, hard to watch. It also hurt to watch Fedde pull the stuffings out of Albano.

Glad to see Osvaldo send the mop back to the closet, but the look in her crazy eyes suggests she will be planning major venganza.

Clarification needed: Dante remarked to Pilar STTE of "You'd better forget what you know about Gabriel's birth". Could it be that Gabriel was not a true Angeles?

THank you again Lila!
J in Oregon

Lila - Thank you for the recap and the snark! And I love the bulleted format! It is so concise and succinct.

My favorite recap line is --- "Pedro ignores recapper's screams ....." BwaHahahahahaaaa!

J in O - I caught that remark, too, about Gabe's birth. Is this one of those telenovelas where nobody's parent is who they think it is?

It was interesting, again, that Assvaldo had sympathetic pregnancy symptoms. Last night it was the mareos while talking to Ratana. The previous night it was that weird ice cream combo. I wonder if he'll toss his cookies tonight's (Thursday) episode?

I have to give Julieta credit for being happy about Pilar's reappearance, while she realizes her relationship with Sergio will end. Bless her heart, she is one of the nicest characters on the show!
(anyone else notice that only Juli's eyes and mouth move on her botoxed face?)

So now we know that Eloisa had no idea about what Maximo did to Pilar. Elo did not seem completely shocked, so perhaps she had an inkling about what an overall evil person he was.

You done it again Lila. Long, short, don't matter BAM.

"especially when Sergio joins them for a group sob and embrace"

Uh, why would Pilar even want Sergio assuming she is able to live a normal life one day? If you want him Julieta you can have him.

Eloisa, it seems, really is a clueless idiot

Did they really, really need a shirtless Jose Ron scene so badly it couldn't wait till grandma gave him a bath?

Great Lila!! So much hugging and sobbing last night! Love the Big Bullet style of your recap.

Someone please reveal Dante for the idiot that he is? He's really getting on my last nerve with his duplicity and general creepiness.

And now we have another parental mix-up? Didn't catch that so thanks for the head's up...so speculation time. So Gabe is a fraud? Is that the comeuppance then we need to make sure Freddie doesn't win the day? If Dante knew...never mind. I can't start the day with a headache.

The actor playing Sergio did a rather good job last night with his reaction to Pilar, his guilt and his tenderness. I do feel for Julietta, but appreciated her reaction that she wasn't going to go all jealous on the poor woman. But somehow I don't know if Pilar and Sergio are an end game. I think she will need someone calm and more grounded...hey play musical chairs. She can hook up with Santino.

So Vitto is ruined? Where is this going and do we really care? And let's just end the Anibal storyline. It actually isn't very interesting...seems like an annoying sidebar to the other plot lines.

And yes, Eloisa must have turned a total blind eye to everything around her as long as she got to be the grand dame. She may not have known the EXACT doings of Max, but that family was messed up, people were suffering, and she must have chosen to not see it or do anything about it. Bet she thought of it as weakness and just something to hide from social circles. So in that, she reaps some of the blame in my opinion.

Daisynjay

Buongiorno a tutti!

Mille grazie, J in O! J, I thought once Pedro told the whole household about Pilar and after such a dramatic reappearance that there would be NO WAY he would let her out of his sight! DAMMIT! And Freddie ripping into poor Albanito WAS cringeworthy! I'm not sure why they've let her find the proof but I am more relieved that at least Freddie is not torturning her anymore and we get a break from her whining about THE PROOF every two minutes! Pilar still is not safe though and I wish somebody would finally suspect Dante or at least put Pilar under Fiorella's care. I bet she'd protect her!

Clarification needed: Dante remarked to Pilar STTE of "You'd better forget what you know about Gabriel's birth". Could it be that Gabriel was not a true Angeles?

I'll go check, J, but it should be that she'd better forget what she knows about his death since Pilar saw Dante kill Gabriel!

Grazie tantissimo, Doris! It was interesting, again, that Assvaldo had sympathetic pregnancy symptoms.

Yah, that WAS interesting. Are they trying to make The Ass endearing to us? They've gotta do better than that! How about getting religion upon witnessing the double miracle of the restoration of Pedro's sight, the resurrection of Pedro's Mother and he throw himself at their feet, confess his plot to betray the family by working with Benigno and destroy and murder Pedro. Then BEG their forgiveness and SHOW that he's a devoted father. Oh yah, and beg forgiveness of Gael, too!

Rant over.

So now we know that Eloisa had no idea about what Maximo did to Pilar. Elo did not seem completely shocked, so perhaps she had an inkling about what an overall evil person he was.

ABSOLUTELY agree. Eloisa's insistence on speaking to Pilar alone and having Maximo's picture shows she was highly suspicious of Pilar's "death", as she stated. It is significant that Maximo's disappearing of Pilar is revealed at the same time as his swindle of Gabriel. Question is, what will Freddie demand?

J in O! By Giorgio, you're on to something. When threatening Pilar, Dante said this:

"Una palabra, una sola polabra sobre el nacimiento de Gabriel, y te mat a ti, mato a Pedro, mato a Sergio. . . ."

"One word about Gabriel's birth and I will kill you, Pedro and Sergio. . ."

Well I'll be John Brown! So is Gabriel not an Angeles and thus Freddie is going to end up with squat? Who's son is he? Good grief! This IS getting good!

Thank you for catching that J and Doris!

Lila - I heard and the CCs said "nacimiento" de Gabriel. I even rewound it to listen again, because the CCs can be screwy.

Yes, Doris, our posts crossed! Thank you and J! This is the kind of collaboration we need! I really mean it when I ask for expansions and corrections! This is a major plot point! WEEEEEE!!!!!

Lila, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to keep this line going.

Another stellar job. Your recap was packed to the brim with emotion and you executed everything in fine fashion.

"poor, disemboweled Albanito"! Indeed.

I found myself riveted to the screen watching the highly charged reunion where emotions were frenzied but the love was real. The second Sergio saw Pilar, Julieta vanished from his view. And heart. daisy, I agree that Julieta handled everything very well. I see her and her ex together in the end as a family with Fiorella and Pedro.

"Pedro ignores recapper's screams to not leave his ovbiously traumatized, resurrected Mommy alone with the Demon Dante but he ignores me". Oh Lila, me too! Watching that was pure pain!

doris, your comments on Os and his mimicking pregnancy symptoms were very interesting. My first thought was that he is ill. Perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part? He does not deserve to have his wife back, let alone a child with everything evil he has done. I realize far worse characters have been redeemed but to him do so would be just wrong!

Lila, again, thank you!

Sneaky two shoes, I must have missed your recap. Will go read it now.

Diana

Tofie!! Grazie, girl! Yah, Pedro running around posing with his shirt off was like, so out of place. Why not do that in many of the clandestine Nookie (TM Vivi) scenes with Fifi! Anywho, yep, looks like Eloisa was not the eagle eye Matriarch she imagined! How many major crimes and atrocities has she missed? Max moved his mistress and "bastard" child right under her nosed, disappeared their daughter in law, robbed his own "brother", or whoever Gabriel is. Jeezopete! So she put in cameras and became hyper vigilant after Max died. Talk about closing the barn door after the horse had escaped!

I've already deleted this episode from my DVR, so maybe someone can answer this for me ---- Someone (Dante?) came and interrupted the Pedro/Pilar reunion by saying the family was meeting downstairs, so Pedro left. In his pajama pants. And he went to Fi's room. Never went downstairs. This was when Dante took the Albano horse from Pilar.

Did I dream that? Or remember it incorrectly? Because it bothered me....or else I totally misunderstood the reason Pedro left Pilar.

Grazie tantissimo, Daisynjay!

ITA about Sergio's scene though if there were sound effects there should have been the screech of a needle being pulled of a vinyl record when Grannie came in and told him to stop simpering like a ninnie that Max was responsible for the whole atrocity!

But let Sergio right the wrongs he felt so heavily in his heart and get back with Pilar and help her heal. I'm glad Santino is meeting with Julieta and I hope he subtly but clearly makes it known that he still has feelings for her.

Daisy, I think they have to drag out the Fiorella is Santino and Julieta's daughter reveal by having Julieta kidnapped or deathly injured or something dramatic like that. I bet ya.

ITA with your whole last paragraph. There was big time EEVIL going on in Rancho de los Angeles and in that era SHE was the one that was blind!

Hey y'all, I went back and added the exact wording of Dante's threat to Pilar about Gabriel's birth!

Mille grazie, Dianita! And mille, mille grazie a Sneaky Two Shoes for her being a part of this team of two who, along with ALL OF YOU, is trying to keep this Patio alive. YAAAY for us!

Diana, what do you think about my redemption rant on Osvaldo. Would that be enough because I think they're trying to rehabilitate his ass!

Doris you got the scene correct and why it made even less sense to leave Pilar alone.

Doris at 9:03, you did not dream that. This was obviously an edited episode because we also missed how somebody went and woke everybody up in the middle of the night to tell them Pilar had returned. Marla will probably be by with fill ins. I can never do those because of work and I don't mind hearing about what they cut at all.

Speaking of work. I'd better go do some. Y'all keep the Patio warm, I think this show is really getting good and I don't mind being a part of holding down the fort at all!

Wow Lila, your bullet points are just as great as your ful recaps. Loved "discarded dust mop", [Sergop] joins them for a group sob" and "Pedro ignores recapper's screams". Didn't see this last night but know all I need to from your resumen. Thanks so much for always..always...always...going above and beyond.

Sneaky Two Shoes...missed your recap yesterday but thank you for contributing and keeping this little telenovela choo-choo going.

tofie and Lila - thanks! That scene just made no sense so I thought it was me.
Something must have been cut, since Pedro never went down to the family meeting. It was even more weird, to me, that he left right away in his 'jammies. Whatever....beanie hat is firmly in place.

Mille, mille grazie, JudyB!

To all my friends in the path of this storm, I hope it's not as bad as they are predicting but if it is, y'all stay safe. Get your provisions well ahead of time and hunker down. May you all stay safe and warm with heat, electricity and internet throughout winter storm "Jonas"!

Lila - I hope you're not in the storm path. Here in middle Tennessee we will get a minor amount compared to the northeast.

Everyone stay warm and safe!

Lila, thanks for the recap. It is some strong
Stuff. " one word about Gabriel's "death" and I will kill you. Right? Not birth?!?!
Now are we to believed that ELoisa wasn't even suspicious about anything that dog of a husband did back in the day? Are we also to believe that she is just now finding out that the man was a piece of crap? I don't think so.
She is not innocent. she's probably one of those wives that said "I know my husband is doing some unscrupulous things, but I don't want to know about it". She was just enjoyin
Spending those stolen millions.
Now as far as Federica is concerned about being upset that Uncle max stole her father's inheritance, for her I understand that but that girl got some serious problems being nasty and evil but she probably got that from dad and uncle max. And Dante, somebody needs to kick his great barritone but, he is still carrying out maximos Orders. And poor pilar, somebody please just help her get a grip on reality.
I don't trust granny for gettin to the truth. She
Is Just an old crook in expensive jewelry.
"he admits to Pedro that he treated pilar badly while they were married", well what the
Hell else is new? How did assvaldo sr. Treat
His wife? They followed in daddys footsteps.
Can't hardly wait to see what spills out of the
Bag of snakes that is the angeles family tonite.
Lila you are a gem. Thanks again. Lovin it, Im just lovin it.

yeah that was really kind of stupid. If my mama was to come back after me believing her dead for so many years, theres no way in hell I'm going to leave mom in a room by herself while I go downstairs and tell everybody else she's back from the dead. Do
Happiness make him stupid or what? Just
Sayin. Ooooo wait until they find out that hot
Papi chulo is gael's daddy.
quick question is chulo his last name or does that mean something else?

Nina - "Papi Chulo" is slang for one seriously hot guy. You can google the phrase and see some more meanings, all along the same idea.

Thank you, Doris, no. I've got family in North Carolina and Maryland, though. Unless Mr. Jonas decides to take a detour, I'm safe!

Grazie tanto, Nina! Yah, Dante's pretty much the devil. He was the evil Max's hands for many years, but he's threatening a triple murder and I have no doubt he would carry it out.

I don't trust granny for gettin to the truth. She
Is Just an old crook in expensive jewelry.

HA! Good one, Nina!

Good words to lead into tonight's show:

Can't hardly wait to see what spills out of the
Bag of snakes that is the angeles family tonite.

Hi dear friends. Good to read your comments.

Lila- This was episode 141 or 142 and it wasn't edited. It would be wonderful to see the Ass in his knees begging forgiveness but he is so arrogant and greedy to humilliate himself in that way and he would never put the robe around his kneck confessing all his crimes because he is a damm coward.

It looks like Pilar sympathize with Fiorella. I hope that Fiorella protects her from all her torturers. Pilar needs urgently a guardian angel to light up her life.

Thanks, Marla! Hmmm, then that was just some shoddy editing they did the way things jumped around! I hope Pilar gets some relief and protection soon. She is just breaking my heart every night!

Lila thanks for the bullet point recap. All the action is there, blow by blow
And thank you for posting for me yesterday
I had a whole comment and 1/2 second before hitting the publish button my internet closed and I didn't get another chance to post all day so thank you and thanks to all the commenters I really enjoyed the comments.

Ha! " bed massage"

Pilar needs a warm safe place where she can tell the people she doesn't like to go away
Don't know where she will find that in Rancho Los Angeles

Grazie tantissimo sorellina mia, Sneaky! Things are really moving along at a fair clip, WHOO!

I think we all are wanting safety for Pilar! Lord, that woman has been through the wringer!

Thank you Lila, great recap. Thank you for the time put in

I loved this episode it had a lot of action and i hope Pilar gets better quickly. Dante and Federica are vile, i hope they get seriously heavy anvils. I hope they don't completely destroy Pilar's psyche. Fiorella and Pilar are looking like they might become allies. I hope the secrets are not dragged for so long especially that of Fiorella birth secret. Eloisa seemed genuinely sad about what happened to Pilar. I have a bit of a soft spot for her regardless of how condescending she might be to others. Its good that Pedro can see s little now.
