El Hotel de los Secretos #9, 2/4/16 Thursday: Death for Pascual

This will be quick and dirty, I hope I manage to cover everything, if I miss something please feel free to add it in the comments section:

We left off last night with the shooting of Pascual, Diego is a good shot and nails him in the chest, Pascual goes down and is unable to answer Julio when he asks who killed Cristina. Diego comes out of the woods and rushes to Isabel, he spots Julio and points his gun at him while accusing him of being a thief. Julio denies the accusation and Isabel is able to get Diego to stand down.

Julio wants to go back to the hotel and get the police, but Diego tells him to scram and keep what's just happened to himself. Diego picks up Pascual's little suitcase and leaves with Isabel, eventually the police are called and Detective Ayala finds himself with another death to investigate. I wonder if he gets paid over time?

The questioning begins: What made Diego follow Isabel and Pascual? Diego states that there was no reason for Isabel and Pascual to be walking away from the hotel together, especially not at the speed they were going, also two women had been killed...the implication being that Pascual was the killer. Detective Ayala is no fool and tells Diego that no one has said anything about Pascual being responsible for the deaths of Cristina and the other young woman.

Later Dona Teresa and Diego have a chat, they both agree that with the death of Pascual their problems will be solved. The judge over seeing the case will be happy to say that both cases were solved and he will get kudos for a job well done. Diego asks if they are out the woods and Teresa says that they are, unless they continue to make mistakes. She also urges him to take advantage of the whole "saving Isabel" thing to get into her good graces. Ooh, I had forgotten to add that earlier in the episode, when Isabel is getting into clean clothes Dona Teresa tries to badger her into "thanking" Diego for saving her life. Eeeewww. Anyhoo, the family will have a dinner in Diego's honor for being a hero.

Isabel makes a run for it and finds Julio, because she's a smart cookie she tells Julio that they need to find out who killed Cristina and that the best way to do that is by searching Pascuals room, they can do it if they hurry and get to his room before the police do. Julio swoons over Isabel.

Their plan was a good one but Ayala works fast and is already searching the room, he spots Julio and invites him to sit down and chat, Julio tries to get out of it by saying his shift is about to start but Detective Ayala gets his way and forces Julio to spill the beans. He tells Julio that he knows Julio knows more than he is saying and that he can talk to him there and answer his questions or take a trip down to the police station, Julio talks.

He says he saw when Pascual took Isabel and no, he does not think he meant to kill her, he just wanted to make a run for it. Ayala wants to know if Diego tried to get Pascuals attention, and Julio says that he did not, he hid in the trees and shot Pascual dead, never warning anyone of his presence. Lesson here: NEVER TRUST PEOPLE THAT HIDE IN THE TREES.

In other news, Dona Angela lays down the law to Belen. She tells her she knows the baby she is carrying is not her sons and she wants Belen to break things off with Andres. Belen argues that Andres is a big boy who should be allowed to make his own life choices. Angela tells Belen that Andres is a good guy who never really looks after his best interests, it's a good thing he has her (Angela) to watch his back. Belen is to end things with him or Angela will make sure Belen ends up raising the child alone in a place very far away from the hotel, oh and also the sheets Belen was working on are wrinkled, she's told to start over and not to stop till they are perfect. Angela leaves and Belen has a fit.

Natalia, who is being over worked has been tasked by Angela to get rid of Pascuals possessions (the things the police left behind), Julio tries to charm her into letting him help her but she refuses. Thankfully, Isa manages to intervene and gets Natalia to go clean her room while she rescues Pascuals things and takes them to Julio, together, they find a key hidden in the seam of a pair of pants, they realize the key belongs to a house and they make a plan to find out where Pascual lived.

And now an observation made by my boyfriend:

"Man that guy is always f*cked up"- he means Felipe, who was released from jail and who quickly went on a bender. Poor love struck Jacinto has the task of bringing him home but Felipe runs off and gets uber drunk to the point where Jacinto ends up finding him passed out the next day and then has to drag him home where he is thrown into a bathtub while Teresa call him a disgrace.

And we also see that poor Jacinto is totally in love, so much so that he murders some poor innocent chiles.

And the dinner to honor Diego did take place and Isa was forced to kiss him and it was all just super icky.

Oh and Sofia has an idea to open a spa.

Isa goes to visit Detective Ayala to go over the statement she gave him and somehow she manages to get information on Pascual and where he lived, we end the episode with her and Julio standing outside Pascuals house, holding the key and getting ready to go in!

Come back tonight for more great stuff!

Thanks, JuJu. The recap is great!

My fave scene from last night was detective Ayala very subtly questioning Diego about taking that very "risky" shot when Pacual was holding Isabel. Then later in the same scene Diego going to kiss Isabel but she ignoring him and his lips and excusing herself because she did not feel well. Too bad she got stuck kissing him later at the dinner. Yuk!

Should be good tonight.

Thanks, Juju!

Jarifa- I enjoyed all the things you did.

I'd like to add one thing-- Natalia took a book from Pascual's possessions and kept it for herself. I'm betting there's something important in there.

Pascual's death certainly is convenient for Teresa and Diego. They can make him the fall guy for everything. RIP, Pascual. Hope you left some good clues behind!

Thanks for the recap.

Three things come to mind. First, the bear and Leo DiCaprio had more chemistry than Julio e Isabel. This couple has no charisma whatsoever.
Doña Teresa says she does not tolerate tardiness, mistakes and lies, but obviously she is lying, since Diego has his own share of mistakes and she is not doing anything about it, and
There's something wrong with the sound
First the superloud harmonica and then the dogs, who were ''panting'' loudly even whrn the little creatures never had their tongue out and last night, the crickets.
Did you hear them very loud during dinner? My God, maybe outside in the woods is quieter!

Ah! And imho, Jacinto could have made a better Julio. He has the exact look for the character. All this Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew/Poirot thing is making me tired...

Pablo-- You do realize this is a mystery tn, right? The clue searching and finding will continue throughout.

I so missed you Juju. Thanks

"NEVER TRUST PEOPLE THAT HIDE IN THE TREES"

Not sure if it's the sound but something seems off with the show. Perhaps it's the editing that makes it feel herky jerky to me.

It doesn't make sense to me why Cristina is helping Julio unless she's just bored and this gives her a rush. If it was clear she was into Julio and why she was helping it would be more convincing. He clearly is into her, she not so much, but possible as a chaste, highbrow engaged woman she prefers not to cross the line. The caste line.

Vivi, good point about the book.

Thank you everyone.

Tofie, it's not you, it's the show, the editing and sound are off somehow, I pointed it out a week ago.

Thanks muchisimo, Princesa Juju! Agree with your ewwwwwws and the line about murdering chiles made me laugh.

I've been having sound problems with this show, but mine are that the sound periodically cuts out entirely for about a second to second and a half at a time. For the first week it was happening every couple minutes, at least. It hasn't been as frequent the last few days, but still happens occasionally.

Maybe the dogs and crickets are wearing mics.

I think Isabel is definitely really into Julio. Her letter to Matilde was certainly gushing about him. But she's engaged to another man, and so it wouldn't be appropriate to pursue anything with him, so she restrains herself in his presence. I think she's helping him to investigate both because she has a curious and scientific mind and a sense of justice, so she wants to know, and also it's an excuse to spend time with Julio without admitting to any romantic feelings.

Poor Pasqual. We hardly knew ye. Stupid Diego. Can Diego please go to prison? They all know he shot Pasqual, and despite what he says, the others say he shouldn't have thought Pasqual was going to kill Isabel. I mean, Diego didn't even TRY to approach it another way, and he was holding a gun and Julio was also there so what was Pasqual really going to try to get away with?

Diego must have serious dirt on Teresa, if she's letting all his mistakes go and letting him be manager even though he's awful.

Maybe it is the style or maybe is the rush they have to make things fit. So many coincidences and so little for us to guess. I remember shows where the plot was so smart and well crafted that the detective was the only one with the clue and we were like, Oh, I didn't see that coming... Here most of the stuff happens on cue and I am like, what if Julio wasn't God (he is just EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME) and missed something crucial for the story to advance? Just saying...

Muchas gracias for your great recap, Princess Juju!

Just a small addition, there was a scene where Diego tries to get it on with Belén while she was making one of the rooms. He scoffed at her when she rejected him that she surely hasn't fallen in love with that tadpole (Andrés) because she needs a real man. She reproches him for choosing an aristocratic señorita to marry and leaving her to fend for herself. She passionately kisses him back then when he lifts her skirt, she orders him to stop unless he wants to explain why he has his face all scratched. This scene indicates that Belén is not falling in love with Andrés, he continues to be just a meal ticket for her and a substitute father for her son.

Perfect Juju! Some of the scenes last night didn't need much retelling.

I've really enjoyed the camera work, music and flow of this so far...but boy, that whole Jacinto in love stuff left me head-scratching. Could have been briefer, could have lost the close ups (yes, he's a handsome young man), and unless these two really come into the plot in a very important way soon, I don't get why the long play on all that.

Inspector Columbo...er, Ayala is so good at just drawing people out. I don't think Diego realized he stuck his foot in it. And then the way he followed up right away with Julio and how Diego approached them...or not, was awesome. As for Diego, there is just something we aren't getting that is between Teresa and him. And I doubt it's the death of Cristina...that may be the red herring in this. We think we are solving her murder, but maybe something bigger is behind all the intrigue.

I'm beginning to think the mother in the bar selling her daughter to the drunks maybe is more related to Teresa than Angela. Teresa basically encourages her daughters to use sex to trap their guys and keep them happy, for Isa it's basically selling her to Diego. VERY NOT what an upstanding mother of society at that time period would do. Is this how she got where she is? I'm thinking more and more Teresa is a former downstairs.

Anyone else wish if Felipe was going to be slobbing drunk, he would have walked over to the other side of the table and gave Alfredo's mother a great big old drunken kiss and hug. Maybe it is me, but that would have been a hoot. Heck, what's the poor guy got to lose. But,I'm starting to feel bad for that poor slob. No one is that self-destructive without a reason. That's not being rich and spoiled. That's bordering on not caring if he lives or dies.

Why carry a key for a broken down house? Or was it possible burned...those windows liked slightly charred. This should be interesting. RIP Pascual. May something good come from your demise.

Daisynjay

I still don't feel much chemistry between the two leads. I don't see those smouldering looks or that electric attraction that is usually conveyed by great TN couples. I'm not too bothered by that to be honest because I get a lot more pleasure from the interaction of my favorite pair: Ayala and Dagoberto! Moreover, there are plenty of great characters (interpreted by excellent actors) to keep me entertained, not to mention the intersection of 3 murders mysteries to be resolved. Like Princess Juju, I'm left wondering whether our great Poirot is getting paid overtime.

One final thought: to me the way the meet-cute between Jacinto and the pregnant cantina girl is being set up indicate that they will be playing a crucial role in the plot. We've seen their paths cross many times without them noticing one another, then we've seen Jacinto get stuck by the lightning that is love at first sight when the girl finally catches his attention. Now we gotta wait for the girl to notice him for the meet-cute to finally happen.

-- A quote from the capítulo --

“Algo muy malo debo haber hecho en mi juventud para que Dios me premiara con este grupo de cotorras.” *

* Doña Àngela dispersing the gossiping maids so she can chew out Belén at her convenience: “I must have done something really bad in my youth for God to reward me with this group of chatterboxes.”

Juventud = youth.

Premiar = to award, to reward.

Cotorra = a chatterbox, a motormouth.

At least when Jacinto (hyacinth) and Violeta (violet) finally meet, they won't have to go through the drama of a breakup when he learns she's a prostitute. He already knows, and is going through all the drama of accepting it all by himself, before she's even met him.

Gracias Juju, I will read the recap tommorow although I did watch the show. I am sure that it is going to be a wonderful read.

Like others I am not really sure about this show's pace rightness. I think that the director is not an idiot and made it a rollercoaster on purpuse. But there's plenty of very smart characters in this story so it is quite a wonderful watch because it makes the story unpredictable. I do have to agree with the thought that Julio is overpowered right now but I feel that things will change for the worse .

I love seeing Daniela Romo on screen but I feel that Angela has deadly poison in her veins too. She is good for smelling bullshit and getting the kick out of the Shedevil Teresa but from her actions she looks like a toxic mother too. All of our powerful ladies ( Teresa, Angela, Elisa) are toxic mothers but they all differ in their poison . Don't really appreciate her nasty behaviour towards Natalia , the poor maid and she is pretty much an asshole to Belen ( Belen is a wildcard but does not deserve the awful treatment and disrespect) .

Speaking of toxic mothers , Teresa sure packs a punch. She just takes care of everything , freeing Felipe from the clutches of prison but then rightfully puts Felipe into his place . Is his new job going to be the new gardener ?! I would laugh myself to death if my prediction comes true! I suppose our ladies are controlling, toxic mothers but they all love them in their own way..

I also have to say that Jorge Poza is a wonderful addition to the team. He is loathsome to watch as the explosive ,clever and crazy Diego but also entertaining at the same time! I wonder if Diego holds any grudges against the Alarcon family , like the typical revenge plots we are accustomed to ? Maybe a fallen sibiling?

-- Vivi: Indeed, they won't have to break up over the truth about the life she leads so we don't have to endure that worn-out TN plot device. And once Hyacinth and Violet get married, they can have a bunch of little flowers: Rosa, Margarita, Begonia, Hortensia, Gardenia, Magnolia... A garden of pretty little girls that inherit their mom's delicate beauty and their father's gorgeous blue eyes.

Gracias for the recap.

I don't think the two leads lack chemistry. The icy veneer of the "upper crust" is meant to conceal the "baser" emotions and to save face. You don't spend your entire youth learning that sort of behavior to have it shattered in a second.

Mothers of this class will pimp out their daughters if there are debts to be paid. It's just to one man who will pay the bills and make the money in the future, especially in the case of a mother who wants to share her own perceived misery with a daughter.

Loved Ayala's question about Diego risking Isabel's life. He is a sociopath incapable of loving anyone. When Teresa insisted on the dinner to celebrate his "heroic" act I thought I would lose my lunch.

To the Most Royal Princess Juju. Thank you for dropping in on us detectives-3d grade to illuminate our path to solving the case. Enjoyed your recap regardless of how you label it.

I agree with Julia on the behavior between the lead characters. Having been attending medical school, she's much less bound by the conventions of the day than say, Sofia. That said, she and Julio, and especially Julio, certainly do have a lot of time on their hands. Poor Natalia can't catch a break from Angela, but Don B doesn't have our Julio very well supervised, unless it's to shine shoes, silver or iron newspapers.

Pablo--I haven't seen you since PEAM, or are you the same one? You were so funny and clued us in on "time travel" across the city.

Just so you know, this isn't exactly a detective show, it's the Julio and Isabel Show, so we on the Patio are pleased to get a daily dose of crum(b)y clues thrown our way, so we can build the case....and have something to talk about.

The sound has been bothering me, too, especially when something crucial is happening.

When Angela speaks, though, I always sit up straight as if listening to my 2d grade teacher. Her diction is so exact, it's hard to miss anything she says.

Nandicta--Yes, the saucy wench is back, sort of. But she did make it clear to Diego that it is no longer business as usual after chomping his lip and threatening to scratch his face. One thing she knows, she can't count on him for any support for this baby.

Poor thing, she's between a rock and a hard place. Does she throw over Andres to stay in Angela's good graces and keep her job or does she continue to string Andres along risking a life of poverty away from the Hotel. Andres will certainly wonder wha' happened if she turns her back on him. Given Angela's prowess, though, I doubt Belen will ever get to walk up the aisle to a padre to bless a marriage to Andres.

Anita- Belen has another option. She can tells Teresa that Angela is threatening to give her the boot. She already has a deal with Teresa to give her the baby, in exchange for work and lodgings. Teresa's decisions trump Angela's. But Angela would certainly then wonder WHY Teresa is helping Belen.

Daisynjay--I laughed at the key and the door. They could have climbed through the window. Plus, that key was too small for a front door key from those days. I have one exactly like that, made for cabinet doors on a bookcase.

Vivi--You have a point, but I don't recall Teresa sanctioning her seeking out Andres to be the putative father. If she knew, she would have dissuaded her, based on what we've deduced of the relationship between Angela and Teresa. But then who else was there, Pascual (QEPD)?

Maybe the key is for something IN the old house.

I'm liking this version, but I think in the original, it was a little easier to see how Julio charmed people as a way of getting away with his rather less-than-devoted attention to his job duties, and also his and Isabel's (Alicia, in that version) quick thinking and scheming to fit investigation INTO his job.

Does Erick Elias really have to stay this skinny for the duration? They can't let him eat a little more now that he's living in the hotel and presumably better fed? To be quite shallow, I think he's more guapo when he isn't so gaunt-looking (and that goes for a lot of lady actors who starve themselves, too).

Yes... it's me. I have been here all the time lurking in the shadows...

Cotorra means female parrot, and since some parrots never stop talking, maybe it why is also associated with chatterbox and motormouth, right?

Who knew we'd have to go back to the early-1900's to find such a capable novela-detective? God for Colomb...Ayala, I mean.

I wouldn't call Angela toxic. She's just very protective of her rather naive son. Maybe he needs to find his own way, but if Belen is gong to continue her fling with Diego, then Angela might have a point. We know she loves overly-trusting Andres. I don't see her as being cold, just one to keep her emotions well in check. Maybe it has something to do with her past and why she stays on at this hotel.

Maybe Sofia's new country club (and isn't she a much smarter business person than she's given credit for) could hire Violeta to sing. I wouldn't mind hearing more of the girl's voice.

Kelly

I hope they do use Sofia's spa idea. She could probably turn out okay if she could get out from under her mother's thumb.

And whatever they do, they should keep Felipe away from the spa. Those poor girls he was harassing in his stripy suit in the pool the other day! That can't be good for business.

Thank you, Princess Juju Your Highnessness! Thank you for the warning about people in trees; I can use all the help I can get.

...so maybe now we know why Felipe was fully clothed in a bathtub the other night. Apparently it's how he ends a binge, and if they don't dunk him he'll just dunk himself.

It was fun watching Sofia and Alfredo getting all excited about the spa idea. I don't know if anything will come of it, but at least now we know what it looks like when they're happy.

Thanks everyone for mentioning the sound problems. I thought it was just me. The first few times I noticed it, I thought they were doing silent bleeps of bad words. But then I checked the captions and saw no hint of bleepable language. Gah.

I'm satisfied with the chemistry I see between Isa and Julio. They are both trying to play it cool, even as the mystery they're investigating just brings them closer together and things get warmer and warmer.

Speaking of Detective Colomb...Ayala. In case I don't have an opportunity to mention it tomorrow, here is a plug for an OT alternative to the Superbowl (can there be one???)

On Univision, Sunday at 8pm they are showing the film Divina Confusion starring Jesus Ochoa (Ayala) as Zeus. It is a very funny film and I recommend it. Check Wikipedia or Imdb for the rest of the cast. Diana Bracho is also in it. Diego Amozurrutia as Eros is a hoot.

I thought they were bleeping at first, too, but then I thought this was some sort of joint Uni-Televisa production and they know what words they can't air so why would they be using so much language that had to be bleeped?

Ooh, thanks for the movie recommendation. I love Diego and haven't seen him in anything for awhile.

Anita, I will second your recommendation for that movie!

Thank you for the recap Princess Juju.

I feel like I"m seeing a different show than you all. First, I don't have sound problems, I'm watching on Hulu, and second, I do think the leads have chemistry. We have to remember that this is set in the early 1900s, they are of a different social class, and this isn't a typical TN where they make every overture totally obvious.

I'm wondering if we're going to see a dead Belen down the line.

Will there be signs that Cristina has been in Pascual's house? I'm recapping tomorrow, so I can't wait to unfold this mystery house.

I also haven't noticed any sound problems. Hmmmm....will have to pay more attention.

Maybe some of us are having a local transmission problem? I don't know if it's happening on other shows; this is the only thing I've been watching on television.

I'm watching online and haven't had any sound problems beyond the occasional issue of the music being too loud during dialogue.

Juju- Just realized that this doesn't have a label, and some folks weren't able to find it. Enoch actually ended up posting a recap in Wed's comments because he couldn't find this recap. Please label it when you can.

Enoch didn't see this recap, so s/he posted a min-recap on the Wednesday post. Here it is:

THURSDAY, FEB 5 KNEECAP by Enoch PART 1

Now it is possible that there may be errors, memory lapses, fights of imagination, etc. Corrections are welcome.

The tagonists, pro & hormiga are having to face Columbo & the small angel from Cachito now. Only instead of turning around at the door to pop a last BTW question, this Columbo grabs 'em by the brazo, like the old Vaudeville stage hook to give 'em the last 3rd degree. But Pascuale never got the chance for the Columbo treatment.
Pasc: "I loved her, & you know who killed her? It was . . . BANG!" Like an old cowboy movie where the beans are about to be spilt, & an arm with a revolver enters the window, bye bye Pascuale.

Meanwhile, back at the Hotel, Mother Teresa was calming the paying guests: "Don't sweat the gunshot; it was either a Cinco de Mayo celebration, the ChupaCabra chowing down violently, or La Lorona giving a big weep -- gun shots are the norm here. It even could have been the Lone Ranger -- look for silver bullets; they are valuable.

Columbo queried De Eggo: Did you really have to shoot?
De Eggo: "You betcha." He was gone harm my novia.
Columbo: "But what if you had missed & hit Isa in her bell?"
De Eggo: "Not to bite the toenails; Isabel is an air head -- if it entered one ear, it would go out the other while she kept on chattering without missing a syllable."

Meanwhile, Isabel was so upset that she ran to hug Julio, but De Eggo quickly intercepted that pass, jumping in front of Julio to aprovechar of the situation. Later Isabel would take the opportunity to sogify the Julio uniform.

Whilst Columbo & his sidekick were interrogating Isabel (closely supervised the De Eggo & Mother Teresa), Jacinto was sitting amidst the daisies: "She loves me; she loves me not."
Papa Lupe: "Why you mooning around, boy; is you in love?"
Jacinto was mum, clammed up whilst mooning over the sex-slave girl of the Cantina. He day-dreamed of her singing the Llorona: "Saliste del templo un dia, Llorona -- yo te vi. Hermosa Huapil llevabas . . . "

Privately Mother Teresa told Diego, "We gots to stop making all these errors."

Meanwhile, MT pulled some strings with the Porfiriato regime & got the murders of Ximena & Cristina blamed on a scapegoat -- was it Pascuale? So her supposed son, Felipe, was released from jail & driven home in the tin lizzie. "Felipe: "Where is the orchestra, the 21 gun salute, the fireworks for my release?" There was no crowd to see the release, they were all listening to a Trump speech about kicking all the gringos out of Mexico, listening from a spark-gap transmitter to a crystal tied to a steel clothes line.

Upon his release, Filipe ran about, jumping around & singing a motif from the 1812 Overture. He borrowed a couple of cannons to add the required punctuation.

ENOCH'S RECAP:

KNEECAP FEB 6 THURS PT 2, Enoch

At dinner, Mother Teresa intimidated Isabel into giving a kiss to De Eggo for saving her vida. She pecked him on the cheek.

Jacinto later found Felipe passed out drunk, and toted his undesired cuerpo back to the hotel & dumped it in a bathtub of cold water. After MT poured more water on him, Felipe denounced her as a person dis-souled -- you ain't got no soul.

Then Angela cornered Belen in the ironing room: "Stay away from Andres. I know you been foolin around, & your baby is not Andres'. Now you gots to replanchar everything again. Belen threw clothes at the door when Angela left the room. Later De Eggo would put some moves on Belen in his room, to which she gave in a little, but eventually came out with the ol' sueltame routine.

Now we lose confidence in Columbo. Julio & Isabel wanted to search Pascuale's room, but Columbo beat them to the punch. Pascuale's clothes were to be burned by the maid Natalia, but Julio intercepted her in the hall & tried to talk her out of it & into letting Julio carry the basket or do the burning. None of his tricks worked. Natalia insisted on doing it herself, until Isabel caught up with her & sent her off. So Julio & Isabel found a key in a Pascuale hem, a key which would open Pascuale's ruined-house in the town. Natalia squirreled away a book that was with the clothes. This novela may set a record for the most artifacts of a telenovela (keys, diaries, books, etc.).

Sophia came up with the idea of impressing Mother Teresa, if Alfredo suggests buying adjacent property & putting in a country club for gringos. It would be inaugurated by Teddy Roosevelt.

Isabel continues to corner Julio in rooms alone. How long she gone get way with this? She wanted to help Julio find Pascuale's town home, so she went to see Columbo, desiring to clarify her testimony (she said). As soon as she sat down, she said: "I beez thirsty; could you please go get me a glass of water?"
Columbo, being a caballero, at once got up & went to get here some water. Since the Culligan man was not due to deliver until next day, he went to the town spring to fetch water. While he was gone, Isabel rifled his files, getting that of Pascuale, where his address was written.

So (utter insanity), Isabel went with Julio to that address to try the key, which worked on a really dilapidated house. Before entering they mooned around, gazing at each other, Isabel wanting to be kissed -- but Julio maintained his official grouch. So we were left wondering what would happen in that house & how they were going to get back to the hotel without being in hot water.

Fin.

Tks for the wonderful recap, I sure miss a lot.

Televisa always has a sound problem, its usually running water, here its barking dogs, I heard roosters on one TN, maybe here.

I agree, Felipe is drinking to try & erase sth from memory.

We have 2 pregnant women, Belen & Violeta, maybe Sofia will have twins.

I think the TN is certainly giving us plenty to contemplate.

Thanks Juju and all the folks who chipped i on the recap.

This TN always gives so much clues, and i can practically see how so many plot lines can fit into all of this. I'm not exactly sure how to feel about Felipe. I like how Julio and Isabella are getting closer as they investigate through this web of secrets.
