Fanny is visiting Nina. They talk about how Eladio is willing to help Nina once she gets her hands on half of Art's money. Nina does not totally trust Eladio, but will think about it. She's thinking of becoming a great businesswoman. She wants to shove it in Art's face that Eladio helped her.
Eladio tells Franco not to try and take advantage. Franco reminds Eladio what he did with Caridad when she was pregnant and tells him that he is exactly like him (Eladio). Eladio doesn't think so.
At the Montenegro mansion Nina, Dani and Erick are having dinner. Nina tells Dani she needs to see Eladio the next day. Erick thinks she should quit and work for the family company. Dani reminds Erick of her contract. Art walks in and is ignored when he wishes everyone a good evening. Dani insults him. NIna wants to know what happened in New York. Art tells her to ask her lawyer instead of getting into another fight.
Eladio talk to David over the phone about the Monterrey project. Eladio urges David to talk with his mother. David can't promise anything. Eladio tells him to think about it. David wants to know if his dad has talked to Franco about putting a limit on him. Eladio says he is taking care of it and Franco and Gaby are no longer living in the house.
Dani is out clubbing with Assmore. She wants to stop drinking but Assmore tells her that he has something he can give her that will take care of her hangover, so she keeps on drinking and dancing.
The next day Petra comes to wake up Dani and finds her with a nose bleed. Dani says she blew her nose too hard.
Art tells Nina that he has made a list of all his businesses and properties. She assumes she will get half. She tells him that Erick's Baptism will be the last official event they will assist as husband and wife. Art thinks it will be a great weight off his shoulders when the divorce is final.
In Monterrey Regina and David run through the project with the manager from the hotels. She is happy with the results.
Caridad is STILL working at GLA and brings Eladio some coffee. Caridad is actually anticipating the day that Eladio finally recognizes Franco as his son and Marintia's baby his grandson. Eladio sarcastically says, of course, the perfect famly, right?
Regina and David are saying goodbye. David asks if she has thought about his proposal. She needs to think about it. He gifts her a kiss and she kisses him back. He wants to move away with her, but she can't because she needs to go to Erick's baptism. David says he will go with her.
Art goes to see Miguel. He needs to put more shares and properties in his name. Miguel tells Art about Connie's bodyguards. Art is upset, but wants to know how Miguel found out. Miguel tells him that he spoke with Connie over the phone. Art is upset that Miguel is still having contact with Connie.
Eladio tells Dani that she went overboard with Julia. Eladio prohibits Dani having problems with Julia. Dani says she can't control how she feels when she sees Julia. It's like asking David to get along with Art. It's impossible.
Regina and David are checking in at the airport. Jorge cuts in front of David and they argue. Regina tells David that Jorge is going back to D.F. with her. David is impactado.
Eladio doesn't justify Dani's actions, but he will give her another chance. Next time she is gone. Dani promises to be good. Eladio tells her to take care of herself and her work. He actually sounds like a concerned parent. Dani thinks so too and tells Eladio she wishes her father were more like him.
David wants to know why Regina is going with Jorge. Regina tells David that she doesn't like his tone. If he's going to act this way then she has nothing to think about concerning their earlier conversation and hands him back "the ring". David takes the ring and tells Regina that he can't believe she is throwing everything away because she is scared. He can't believe she is using Jorge to move him (David) away. David leaves. Regina tells Jorge that David is normally calm, but it's the first time she sees him act this way. Jorge accepts that he can see the love that David has for Regina.
Julia arrives home to find that Hummy has left the house without telling anyone where he was going.
Regina and Miguel talk over the phone. MIguel tells her about the bodyguards.
Hummy meets with Art in the park. Julia shows up and wants to know what's going on. Art covers for the old man and tells Julia that he contacted Hummy to tell him he was back from NYC. Julia tells Art that even if he gets a divorce doesn't mean she will get with him. Art disn't think she would stay with Eladio after what he did to her. Even of she got divorced she wouldn't get back with Art because of Regina and David. Art says they will have to understand. Julia is talking about all of his kids. For starters, Dani disrespected her at the hair salon.
David and Regina "run" into each other at the airport. He apologizes for acting like an a**. He wants to run away with her but she says no. He says he is going to be the unhappiest man on the face of the earth. Regina tells him that Miguel and Connie are going through something similar, but that Miguel stays away because of Baby Erick. Regina is afraid if her and David have kids, they won't have an explanation when the kids ask for the rest of the family.
Hummy is upset about Dani. Art is going to talk to her and make her apologize. Julia does not want an apology. She wants Art to explain to Dani that there is nothing between them. Art insists about "Their Love". Julia wants Art to understand that she has nothing to do with him, and he is causing her a lot of problems. Hummy tells Art that Julia is a decent woman, and for him not to look for her until he is divorced. Art says it's just a matter of time. They weren't mistaken when they told each other that they loved each other. Julia just stares back at him. Why doesn't she just leave? She can take Hummy with her, but just leave!
David says that Regina always puts everyone before her happiness. But he also realizes that she is right. No matter how much distance they put between them and their families, it won't change things. They can't be together if their parents want to be together.
Miguel visits Erick at GM. Chimp Boy (CB) tells Miguel that if he doesn't stay away from Connie he will kill him with his bare hands. Miguel doesn't doubt him because he thinks CB killed TheRat.
David is so desperate he would trade places with Franco, to have a different mother, so he could be with Regina. Jorge interrupts that the flight is delayed. David offers to get her back to the city on a private plane. She asks if Jorge can come.
CB tells Miguel to leave. CB looks worried about what Miguel said. Nina comes in. She asks him to help with the baptism preparations. He'd rather not. He tries to convince her to put any shares she gets in his name and his sisters names, that way he can manage them. Nina is not too sure, besides she may have help from another source. CB tells her to stick with family.
David says "Hell No" to taking Jorge. Regina thinks he is acting like Eladio. A control freak. David disagrees. Jorge walks up and says he got them seats on another flight. Regina says goodbye to David and kisses him on the cheek.
Julia and Gaby are at the foundation. Gaby is hurt that Julia doesn't even ask about her new house or Franco. Julia says she needs time.
Eladio is at a therapy session. He talks about David and Franco getting along. He is upset with Franco. He doesn't want him to commit the same mistakes. Eladio is confused with the birth of his grandchild. On one hand he is happy, but on the other he is doesn't want to know about him. He wishes it could have happened in a normal way, but what can he do, it already happened.
Art's secretary (I can't remember her name) tells Art that all the info on Erick's baptism was leaked and now all the press want s access to the event. He tells her to let the press know that that they will make pictures of the event available to them. CB comes into the office. Art tells CB that if his mother asks him to manage her shares of the company, for him to tell his mother that it's best to let Art keep managing them.
Caridad and Franco talk about David and Eladio. Franco makes believe to get close to Caridad. He insists on Eladio "recognizing" him as his son. He says how is he supposed to recognize his own son, or what, doesn't he (Franco's baby) also deserve to be a Gomez Luna?
Julia is in therapy. She still loves Eladio and wants to run to him and kiss him, but she can not forgive him. She feels worse than when Art cheated on her. Even as novios, Art was always very honest with her, Eladio was very shut off. Even now, Art told her father that he was getting divorced to be with Julia, and she was very impressed by that. (Oh, no!) When they were novios she liked that about Art. She liked that he was secure in himself and was honest. The therapist asks if she still feels something for Art.
Eladio visits Hummy and gives him his birthday gift. Hummy warns that he is conservative, and divorce doesn't go with him. Eladio assures him that there will be no divorce between him and Julia. Hummy says to watch out because Julia is starting to doubt that she forgot about Art.
The therapist tells Julia not to answer the question. It is for her to contemplate. She says she would never go back to Art, no matter how much he insisted, because of her son. She is confused. When she ended her relationship with Art, it took her years to forget him and she is afraid that will happen with Eladio. The therapist asks if she is afraid of not forgetting Eladio, or of recognizing that she never forgot Art. (Oh, no!)
Gaby tells Franco that she told Julia that she wants to leave the foundation. Franco talks about how Julia left all the foundation work for Gaby, while she went out and got a job that pays. He doesn't want Julia abusing Gaby's good will. Franco says he supports her.
CB tells Nina about the conversation he had with his father about taking control over Nina's shares. CB tells her that he will always be on her side.
Miguel picks up Regina at the airport.
Nina and her lawyer go over the properties and shares lists that were sent to them. Nina says that that there are properties and shares missing. The lawyer thinks that Art put some properties and shares in someone else's name. They can only go off the list that was provided. Nina realizes that Art has done alot of planning and that the divorce is for REAL.
Julia gets home and finds Eladio there. He wanted to let her know that David is back in town, plus he wanted to see her, if only for a second.

I don't think there is anything illegal in Arturo signing over properties to his children even in this situation. Based on what we have all seen with him and Eladio they both have money to burn. Whatever Nina gets should satisfy her.

Assmore is definitely leading Daniela down a dangerous path. I wonder what his motive is for this. Is he trying to get some stupid revenge against Arturo? Does he even know what he's doing? Is he having a mid-life crisis? I'm sure the nosebleed was due to cocaine.
Julia has very poor boundaries, which is part of what her confusion is all about. It's because she has never been allowed her own space or to be herself on her own terms. She needs that, which means that she should not be with either of the men who want her.

The first thing a high net worth individual does with a divorce looming is hide their assets and is exactly what Art is attempting to do. How foolish of him to think of that now and it will leave a trail uncovered during discovery. First thing requested will be a disclosure of assets for an equitable distribution. Art's funnybusiness, while expected from an arrogant machoman, won't be so funny to a judge. I've seen just the threat of disclosure of income (not even assets) bring one of these pompous thugs to their knees. I've said it before, Art is a feast begging to happen.

I really enjoy the Daniela and Eladio moments because they tend to show that Eladio's heart softens a little around her. He seems to have a certain affection for her in spite of himself, and while I know she tries to butter him up, I do think she does wish Arturo cared more about her.
I only wish Dani would truly redeem herself. I even secretly root for her and David because I find they have great chemistry and Regina annoys me so much.

I don't know, Daniela has her moments. She's not completely irredeemable. Of course, we all know David and Regina are endgame anyway.
One thing about this novela is that there actually aren't too many full-on villains. You have Erick, Franco, and Marintia, and I guess maybe Assmore, but most all the others fall into a classification of characters who do bad things at some point or another.
With David, the issue for him isn't simply the kiss and whether Arturo kissed Julia without her consent, it's that Julia lied to him about seeing him and having the intention of reliving their previous romance. Arturo wouldn't pursue Julia if she hadn't given him reason to, and frankly, she seems incapable of making up her mind about him.
And while I've mostly been understanding towards Julia, I'm now pretty annoyed with her. It doesn't seem to occur to her that if she can't forgive Eladio, fine, but this doesn't mean she has to go straight to Arturo. There are other men in the world!

"Art is upset that Miguel is still having contact with Connie". Hmmm. I suppose it’s difficult/impossible for a parent to see their children’s imperfections, but Erick’s are hardly hidden. I would hope that Art would see Miguel (his older but lesser loved) is a far better choice for Connie and his grandchild. I might suspect Art has far bigger problems including a wife whom he can’t shed (who wants it all), an ex love who wants nothing to do with him but worst of all, his children (Miguel excluded) who can’t abide the sight of him.
“David is so desperate he would trade places with Franco, to have a different mother, so he could be with Regina”. Let’s hope this was a momentary lapse for David and he did not mean that for a second. I’m disappointed he still won’t talk with Julia. Erick is too dumb to realize he's been rebuffed by both his mother and his father to be intelligent enough to manage their shares/portion of the business. BTW, I meant to point out yesterday that what Eladio offered Nina was 10% MORE than what she could sell her shares for on the open market, if she sold them to E. That would make her a wealthy woman (according to E.). She deflected the offer and went for a "partnership" instead. We all know Eladio is dying to get his hands on enough Montenegro shares to become a powerful voice in the empresario. Maybe that's why he's being nice to Dani. He probably assumes she has a few shares sitting around.
Erick not wanting to participate in the arrangements for the christening is both normal and abnormal. This truly is the type of event a mother or grandmother would be more interested in arranging (putting her stamp on it, so to speak), so we shouldn't really put too much significance to it. But, to me, it also shows how little interest Erick has in his son. He complains that Connie won't let the baby be brought to his house, or that Clara is not qualified to care for him. He could have asked Connie, NICELY, to send him photos regularly of Erick, Jr., and set up regular visitation hours. Instead the idea of the photos came from Miguel.

Kirby--for once I see we are in full agreement on David and Regi. Orbiter--I like that term. Though, I don't see David going for Dani unless it's to hurt Regi and I don't see that in him. Flowers, more locknuts, love poems, a mariachi serenade, "showing up" at cafes, lunches, dinners out, yes.
Last thought--Erick is using baby Erick as a pawn in his Get Connie All or Nothing game. We know Nina (and Fanny) is on his side. Artie has shown signs of wanting to support Connie, but he waffles like a Belgian--and he's losing his credibility with everyone, including Agustin. Aggie didn't look very happy as they left Nueva York, Nueva York.

Well here is my Oh No!---It looks to me like Julia is starting to weaken. She says that she doesn't want to go back to Art but it's because of David, not her. You asked why doesn't Julia just leave? It's because she is as I said, starting to weaken. The day before yesterday she could have sent the roses back--she didn't. She could have yelled at art to get out of the house. She could have thrown something at him--she didn't. It is all starting to add up.
We were treated to a snake dinner last night. Three snakes or was it four? No, only three, Arturo didn't eat.
It looks like Arturo is totally on Rat Bastard Erick's side. It seems that all the love and adoration that he once had for Consuelo has vanished. It's Rat Bastard Chimp Boy all the way now.
Erick thinks that Dani should quit and work for the family company. I ask if it's the same company that he sold out for 50 pesos?
Regina asks if Jorge can come? She sure seems overly concerned about him.
Eladio talked to Daniela about her confrontation with his wife. He should have gone to the beauty salon and asked the stores manager what had taken place.

I just read a site about Ecstasy (MDMA) and one of its potential long-term effects is brain damage. Nosebleeds can happen with it, too. Daniela is a steady user. It's likely that she knows how or when she needs to avoid her parents so they don't find out.
Considering that Assmore (of the mid-life crisis) is likely to be older than Arturo he's putting himself at risk of a heart attack or stroke using that stuff. We can wonder whether Daniela can boink him without being on that stuff.

We know that Daniela is no stranger to drugs, it's not far fetched to believe she is a steady user. It's been implied that she was using Molly when she woke up in the hotel room with that guy (she was super sweaty).
I see Daniela's fate to overdose and end up either brain damaged or locked up in a long term care facility.

One of the things that is necessary when assessing the backstories of our characters is not only listening to what they say (and how they say it) but listening for what they don't talk about. For example, since none of the Montenegro children speak of their grandparents and Arturo hasn't spoken of his mother I came to the conclusions in yesterday's discussion.
Nina never speaks of her family of origin and we know from a scene with her and Arturo from a few weeks ago that there is something she is ashamed of and won't talk about. The writers better not leave any loose ends about that.

It’s lonely here at the Arturo table. He is a jackass and should stop chasing Julia and focus on his kids instead, but he did telephone Regina, kept Erick out of jail (where he surely would've gotten killed), and would be helping Dani if he knew she was on drugs and boinking Ashmore. In real life, Regina, Nina, and Augie keeping silent about Dani is abject negligence, but I know, this is a TN. Maybe Petra will speak up about the nosebleed.
Kudos to Miguel. Last night was his best performance ever. He hit Erick where it hurts, “yeah, I don’t doubt that you’d kill me, just like you did Montseratt.” Miguel, now that was sexy.
Franco and Gaby have great chemistry. Such a shame he’s a bad seed. Both Caridad and Eladio are despicable for enabling him.
David knows without a doubt that Regina loves him, so I’m giving him a break on putting up with her estupideces. I'm not giving Wardrobe a break though for putting David in Mister Rogers sweaters. He’s not a suit and tie guy, fine. Just put him in a nice dress shirt or leather jacket.

He is a jackass and should stop chasing Julia and focus on his kids instead, but he did telephone Regina, kept Erick out of jail (where he surely would've gotten killed), and would be helping Dani if he knew she was on drugs and boinking Ashmore. In real life, Regina, Nina, and Augie keeping silent about Dani is abject negligence, but I know, this is a TN. Maybe Petra will speak up about the nosebleed.
Kudos to Miguel. Last night was his best performance ever. He hit Erick where it hurts, “yeah, I don’t doubt that you’d kill me, just like you did Montseratt.” Miguel, now that was sexy.
Franco and Gaby have great chemistry. Such a shame he’s a bad seed. Both Caridad and Eladio are despicable for enabling him.
David knows without a doubt that Regina loves him, so I’m giving him a break on putting up with her estupideces. I'm not giving Wardrobe a break though for putting David in Mister Rogers sweaters. He’s not a suit and tie guy, fine. Just put him in a nice dress shirt or leather jacket.
It doesnt matter why Julia or Regina are flaky, just that they are at this moment in time. David, Arturo & Eladio really don't have time to sit around and wait for Regina & Julia to become unflaky. While Julia/Eladio/Arturo is an abuse situation, David & Regina are not and he shouldn't have to sit around waiting for Regina to get herself together. Get your self esteem right, then get into a relationship.
Sadly, David will keep hanging around begging Regina because that's all he knows.
I believe it was said that Eladio raped Julia on their wedding night and hadn't touched her since so David probably was conceived as a result of a rape.

Petra does need to speak up about the nosebleed. She has to know that something bad is up with that.
Either Caridad is an idiot or thinks Gaby is an idiot or both if she thinks Gaby will sit around beaming at Franco's child with Marintia.
I don't honestly think she's thought that part through. I'm also surprised that Eladio hasn't reminded her what this will do to Franco and Gabriela's marriage. Whether or not he cares about that, neither he nor Caridad will be able to do anything about this.

I agree with everyone who I agree with :-) about Dsvid and Regi. OK, maybe I was hasty about using Daniela. But what I don't like,
1.)and neither do 99 percent of women, is a sniveling begging man.
2.)It is not fair to David or Orbiter what Regi is doing, telling Orbiter there is no way, then leading him on to distance herself from David.
I can't take credit for Orbiter, it was Judy or Anne I think, who should be credited with that clever moniker

any say so in the matter. It seems as she wasn't consulted in any part of this. Will she be forced to go back into the den of vipers to take part in something that she has no control over or will Erick just go to Consuelo's apartment and take little Erick against her will? How do these things work in Mexico?

Annie, I like Dani too just not for David now. When they hooked up and if they could have kept it lite it would be lots of fun watching but David needs to get away from all of them.
I hope David goes no contact with Regina. Change his number, move with no forwarding address. Regina enjoys punishing him, forcing him to beg, will offer him a little hope and crush him again and again and again. She loves Regina way more than she does David and hope he gets a clue.
Julia has not made any progress at all. I don't believe for a minute she can stand on her own feet and why she feels out of sorts. A few more forceful declarations of ownership from Art and she moves from the house that Eladio built to one Art will build.

Gringo, Nina shat all over her about this and Erick made it worse. In the normal way of things Consuelo would have chosen the name and Erick would have had to get over himself (Since he was in a coma during the birth).
Tofie, I definitely don't truly root for them because it's just a bad idea all around and Dani needs to change a lot for them to have a chance, it's just more of an inability to not completely hate it in part because I think Irina Baeva and JPM have really good chemistry, and partly because at the very least David does seem to have fun with her (back when they weren't serious he was plenty smiley with her). I'm kind of sick of seeing him tortured over Regina.
The other thing is that Jorge is actually very likable and he and Regina could make a pretty good couple.

I think the actor paying Jorge is in an "audition" role against a future novela. I can easily see him in future playing a junior protagonist with Pablo Montero playing his father (He's almost old enough for that).
For anyone who didn't see MIVAC, Irina Baeva played exactly the same character as Daniela there, but wasn't in many episodes.
