Antes muerta que Lichita #114 March 4, 2016... ALicia saves Mateo, stretches her luck too far, gets two ears full (one from Luci, one from AUgie) and ends up caught by Augie
Wow!! What An episode!!
Mateo has several near near near misses of getting flattened like a pancake by cars… when suddenly out of the millions and millions of people in Mexico City, who grabs Mateo and prevents him from getting in danger? Alicia!! Who happened to be walking exactly at the same spot… ok so the predictable happens next… he recognizes her and is very relieved, hugs her, he explains to her that GUmaro was supposed to meet with him and take him to Roberto but he never came, she swears to him that with her and her family he will be safe… moving on..
At hospital, poor Gumaro runs in to the bathroom but Mateo is nowhere to be found… Draco is following a shadow he saw go by… I don’t think he figured it was Gumaro. Needless to say, Gumaro does not find Mateo… Valeria calls him to find out what happened… he says surely Mateo was taken back to the Penthouse… Gumaro meets up back with Valeria and Luciana. Luciana thanks them for caring for her, she feels like they are her family. Vale says … well… we are.
Draco calls Augie who of course is not happy to hear the news… he wants Draco to fire the nanny and send her packing far far away… and then look for the escuincle Mateo.
Alicia brings Mateo to her home, to meet Elsa, Magos and Ximena. Alicia tells her family that Mateo is Roberto’s son… Elsa, Magos and Ximena are all surprised to hear the Roberto-Mateo relationship… Alicia begs her mom to keep him there, he will be much safer than with Augie. Ximena asks Mateo how old he is… 7.
Gumaro tells Luciana that he needs to go keep looking for Mateo. Luciana whispers to him she shivers to think that Augie would have Mateo… Valeria volunteers to go to the penthouse and find out instead of GUmaro risking his own neck.
Ximena and Mateo are making good friends. She does a good job of easing his anxiety for not knowing where his dad and uncle are. Alicia and Magos talk about the nerve of Augie to use Mateo against Roberto. Elsa is fine caring for him… but surely someone is looking for Mateo. Alicia agrees she has to find the way to let Roberto know that Mateo is ok, but she doesn’t even know where they have Roberto locked up. For now Mateo will be much better here than with Augie. Elsa reminds Alicia that she owes them an explanation about her ‘engagement’ to Augie. Alicia’s phone rings. Augie is looking for her. HE needs her to come to Iconika ASAP.
Valeria is about to go into the penthouse but Gumaro almost scares her dead/deaf… Valeria curses at him since they had agreed he would wait out in the street. HE says he has screwed up so many times… (I guess they don't find anything/anyone since we don't get any continuity here...)
Alicia keeps looking for Roberto. The guy at the place tells her Roberto was already taken to the jail. She is irate.Augie calls her again and keeps telling her he has to see her to tell her something really important.
The very 70s musical presentation for the toy company seems to go well (I thought I was hearing a soundtrack of the Spanish version of Grease), but when they ask the owner for feedback he does not like it at all… However, Alicia tries to fix things up telling him that maybe for the public it would not be so ordinary, but a huge hit. The owner is not buying her story. He says he will go to the competition and leaves in a huff. Alicia encourages the employees that the campaign was good… Sandra backs her up. In comes Augie asking of they are ready to launch the campaign… Alicia gives him the bad news… Augie tightens his teeth, stands up and starts ranting at everyone… insulting everyone (you all have soil in your heads)… he wants Sandra to be gone but Sandra says Alicia wanted her to stay… he yells that everyone has him fed up, he will fire them all and hire new people… calls nEstor a gossip, Shushette a ho with glasses, Brisa a hippy, Braulio a hipster, etc etc. Alicia is silently angry, tells us that she just realized Augie caused the bullying at Iconika. Augie wants Alicia in his office ASAP.
Augie tells Alicia that he wants her to help him restructure the whole company. She says he has been busy with the Roberto issue. Then she gets a bit flirty and tells him she is glad he got Roberto in such a big mess he got arrested. She gets real close to him. He says she makes him feel like telling her all his secrets and show her all his other businesses. She says anytime, no one better than you to teach me. He says they have to start with the restructuring right now!
Meanwhile Roberto is being taken somewhere… He realizes it is not the right route to the jail, asks the officer driver where they are taking him…
Braulio is at reception with other employees and says a good word puzzle to tell them to use the rule of ‘sen’ ‘si nos reganan, relajensen… si nos gritan callensen, si nos amenazan, defiendansen’.(if you are reprimanded, relax; if you are yelled at, be quiet; if you are threatened, defend yourself). Sandra tells them that Augie will be distributing punishment… SHushette is sure she will be fired. Augie calls for attention. As President and General Director, he and Alicia have decided to do a major restructuring at the company. HE then puts Alicia on the spot to let them know who is fired on the spot.
All of a sudden the cop car stops and the officers give Roberto back his cell phone and tell him to get lost. They expect him to be afraid but he says he was born in a much worse hell than this. You have no idea. The guys leave in the car. HE looks a bit out of breath and disgusted.
Alicia tells us she was between a sword and the wall but she had no choice but to continue her script… so she starts telling names about who is fired. (three people we don’t usually see). Augie asks if Sandra, Shushette… Alicia says they will finish their current campaigns and then they will go. Shushette agrees. Nestor can’t keep his mouth shut so he gets in trouble too. Augie tells everyone that they all are in the high wire… and makes Alicia repeat it to all.
Roberto goes into a motel.
In Augie’s office, Alicia tries to rant at Augie. HE laughs and mocks her or trying to bring the old Lichita. She says that Lichita is gone and buried. Augie understands she is mad because he did not give her the time to prepare a speech in her style. She says she wants to have a romantic meeting with him tonight at the penthouse. He loves the idea. The old nanny and the boy are gone so they have the place for themselves. She asks him for the keys to prepare him a surprise. HE is thinking… she asks him if he does not trust her…

After Alicia comes back to reception, Brisa grabs her and asks for an explanation for what she just did. Brisa tells Alicia that Luciana is in the hospital…

Luciana says not yet, that is her ace in her sleeve. Because it is obvious that even if she is with Augie, she still loves Roberto. In comes Alicia. Valeria asks if Luciana invoked her. Luci smirks.
Roberto calls Gummy and asks if he has Mateo. Then he gets really anxious when Gummy says no. Roberto tells Gummy that Augie surely found out about his plan to have Gummy escape with Mateo. Roberto says when he finishes ‘this’ (I wonder what this is) he will have got rid of Augie for good.
Luciana of course is very cold and disrespectful to Alicia… Valeria tells Luci that Alicia is here in ‘son de paz’. In comes Gummy running in excited that Roberto is out of jail!... and he mentions that Luci’s baby is his… Alicia is surprised.
Daphne and Bea are talking… Daphne has a blind date with a young man… Bea is about to break into hives just thinking Daphne will go out with a stranger. But when the young man arrives and he looks decent and clean, Bea is all smiles.
Luci reluctantly tells Alicia that the baby is indeed Gummy’s. Valeria forces her to also tell Alicia that she and Roberto have never had intimacy. Not even that time at the hotel when Roberto was totally wasted and could only think about Alicia.
Alicia asks what is going on with Roberto. Gummy is still reluctant to trust Alicia completely. But Luci tells him that Alicia wants to help Roberto. Gummy tells her that Roberto got out of jail because of a deal he made with Augie. And when the job is done, then Augie will be history in Roberto’s life. Alicia tells them that Mateo is at her family’s house. Alicia tells them she has to go somewhere where she thinks she will find evidence against Augie. Luciana and Gummy start arguing silly about Roberto’s cell phone being busy… Valeria signals giving up…
Augie is with Roberto on phone giving him directions about turning in a suitcase full of money in the deal. Augie tells Roberto that once he finishes this job Augie will have his new romantic life and all his dirty deals will be in the past. Roberto comments ‘how convenient for you!’ Augie rubs it in his ear that his new life is with Alicia. Augie warns Roberto that he needs to be able to track Roberto via his cell phone all the time. When you turn in that money I will give you your mocoso and you will be able to disappear with him.
At Gutierrez manor, Elsa is entertaining the kids. Hope he feels like he is with family there. Mateo tells them some about his history with Roberto having to leave him with different people before. Elsa assures him they all care about him there. She plays card games with them.
At her house, Bea is playing as good a host as she can with Daphne and Rodrigo. The couple talks. He wants to get to know her much more.
Elsa leaves the kids with Magos, who is doing something on her laptop. She mentions that it is bad that such a small kid is suffering for issues of the grown ups. Elsa can’t fathom a parent having a kid and then not caring for them.
Alicia is in the pent house. She starts calling for the nanny and Draco.
At Guti manor, Magos hears Mateo mention that he is surprised Ximena does not call Magos ‘mom’… when he was with his mom, she did not love him anywhere as much as Magos loves Ximena, and he still called her ‘mom’.
Augie arrives at the pent house and Alicia rushes to put away the paperwork she was looking at.
After helping the kids to find something to use as wheels to the clay toy car for Mateo, Ximena agrees to call Magos ‘mom’ and Magos is very moved as she hugs Ximena.
At pent house Augie tells Draco that he has been planning and executing an elaborate plan to blame/frame Roberto for all his felonies… the police will eventually find Roberto dead in the hands of the mafia… he is killing two birds with one stone… he gets freed of all suspicion and the person who could have sunk him is destroyed and will carry the burden of all his crimes. The perfect plan. (We see Alicia’s shoes/feet at the top of the stairs listening to it all).
Gummy arrives at Gutierr Manor… he and Mateo are really happy to reunite. Gummy thanks Magos for caring for him. Mateo asks why Roberto did not come with him. Gummy says they both and Luciana are leaving first and then Roberto will meet them. But Luci is a bit ill and they need to let her rest some first.
Roberto is meeting with some thugs to give them the money. Turns out the money is false. Roberto turns around and gets a gun put right between his eyes, the thugs demand their money.
Gummy is telling the kids and Magos stories about him and his comrade. Did you understand? The kids sorta do. Magos follows along. Gumaro asks Magos if Mateo can stay with them until they can come back to get him to take him to the beach. Magos asks Mateo if he wants to stay. Mateo is happy to. Magos suggests they all watch the end of Corazon Enamorado. Gummy leaves, he is in a hurry. Magos hugs both Mateo and Ximena. We see some of CE’s ending. There is a double wedding (hint that we will get a double wedding on Monday?) and also Maria Bonita giving birth.
Alicia calls Roberto on cell. She has to leave a voice mail. Explaining that she has Mateo and she has evidence against Augie. But in comes Augie and she has to hang up. However, Augie finds her purse full of papers… ‘No, Alicia… just like you say you know me… I know you enough… and know when you are nervous… and I think I know what is going on here’ (his hand goes from caressing her neck to choking her). She tries to bs her way out saying the papers are hers… but He gets the papers out himself ‘No, Alicia… this is not yours… this is mine… and I have never… never in my whole life, Alicia… have I forgiven betrayal.’ (he throws the papers).
Wow! What an ending!! Next Monday should be MUST SEE TV!!!
(I don’t know … somehow I have a feeling Draco will play a huge part on Monday… maybe we will have a second story of revenge… could Augie have done something to him or his family?)
Ok guys, have to confess I had lost some interest in this story, but this week has revived my curiosity… very good writing this week… and I can’t wait to see how it all ends.

Been wondering how this thing would wrap so many character stories and it looks like they'll get it done despite choppy editing and got to hand it to you Marta. You've stood in there week after week to make sense of it all, you have my kudos and thanks.
Clever it is Mateo and his 7 year old logic that resonates with Ximena and changes the way she addresses her mother. I don't think Magos deserves the moniker so she owes Mateo an ice cream.
Speaking of ice cream, the whole cast owes Ingrid gallons. Honorable mention goes to Gaby Platas as Beatriz, stellar.
Augusto's ego is bigger than his big ole head but he's not stupid Alicia.
Gumaro says some really funny things at times but he makes me nervous just watching, like a deer crashed into a convenience store.

Mateo and Xime were too adorable. The whole Mom talk was so sweet.
What is Augie going to do with Alicia? Can't see anyone saving her in the house? Marta, you mentioned Draco. I had hoped earlier that maybe he was undercover but he seemed delighted when Augie told him his plans for Robs demise.

I also loved any scene with Luciana. She and Gumaro turned out to be the best and funniest couple of this novela.
My favorite scene was Augusto bouncing and bopping his way into the conference room to the "Brazalete Urban O" beat. Only Augusto would tell workers they had "estiércol": manure/dung in their heads as he pretended to smell something bad. Surprised Uni didn't censor that . . .guess they would have if he used a less acceptable word. Anyway, Eduardo Santanarina has been the exemplary villain throughout and in this scene he was perfect with his size, expressions, delivery and flexibility.
Too funny Luciana explaining she and Roberto never had sex : "ti di di di di? no".
LOL: Alicia only fired the workers at Icónika we did not know (granted she left Chuchette and Sandra with one foot out the door)

Loved the title. "Braulio is at reception with other employees and says a good word puzzle to tell them to use the rule of ‘sen’ ‘si nos reganan, relajensen… si nos gritan callensen, si nos amenazan, defiendansen’.(if you are reprimanded, relax; if you are yelled at, be quiet; if you are threatened, defend yourself)". This was an informative treat and greatly appreciated.
I would not have predicted Augie find out Alicia's deception in the manner he did. Alicia, so careful to cover her tracks previously, not tucking that paper in her bag more carefully was a rookie mistake. Augusto is livid and I'm afraid for her (although realize full well she will survive).
I loved the Luci/Alicia scene. We couldn't expect Luci to make a total transformation could we? I had to smile she gave Alicia attitude right to the end. She was only chastised somewhat as Alicia now knows Gummi is the father. Jarifa, I also loved Luci explaining she and Roberto were never intimate...
tofie and Carvivlie, I have always liked Ingrid but have commented often here that she was simply stellar here.

In his own way, he has carried much of the success of this. I keep getting mired in how much I dislike the character but failed to give the actor his credit. He has also been outstanding here.

I totally agree on the credit that Eduardo and Ingrid (and i would also add Pablo Valentin there, his characterization of Gumaro provided the stress relief for Roberto and also added more comical relief... and his character and Luciana chemistry was off the charts...)
Gabriela Platas does deserve some credit too, she was able to pull off the Bea character without taking it over the fence into caricature zone... and her character was able to be saved slowly and reasonably toward the end with her turnaround toward Alex, Daphne and even Gumaro. kudos to everyone... even Flaco Ibanez and Silvia Pasquel had great contributions.
Maite and Arath... the characters were great... the chemistry was reasonable... but the chemistry between Luciana and Gumaro made them fall to a 2nd plane. THe only time i liked them together was when they were either arguing loudly or kissing/sweet talking.

The Gutierrez and ROberto and Mateo building a REAL family...
Luciana and Gumaro building their own household... and Valeria going with them. Luciana will need help with the baby. Maybe they can move back in with Bea and Daphne.

Draco showing why he is a character here... he has been fairly shallow. that is why i want him to be a key part in the demise of Augie.

I feel for both Alicia and Luciana. They're in love with boys and will be cleaning up after, spoon feeding and buying them toys. To each their own but I see Roberto dressing up in his new sportcoat and slacks, leave the house to play all day and come home in time to spin a tall tale of all the deals he made that day and expect a backrub.
Tofie, i respectfully disagree. I think Roberto, once everything is settled and his troubles with Augie and justice are over... he will work out and be a good marketing manager at Iconika. Sandra and Elias are there in case he needs a bit of on the job training... but once the API guys learn the truth, they will even become good resources for him.
I am not sure you all caught this, but he ended up in jail 5 yrs because of a framing by Sheyla and while in jail he became an advocate and protector of the weaker inmates.
He didn't even do anything critically wrong after he and Gumaro stole food to survive as kids. That is how i heard it...

I do hope it is two hours and that I get to see both hours and not a chop job. I'll keep checking to see if the guide on my tv is updated to show two hours.
Carvivlie, that is what I am hoping for, too. It would seem rushed and I'd feel cheated if we only were to get one hour. Heck, Augusto is still riding high. Where is that anvil to knock him on his butt once and for all?? Then we need at least one wedding if not two! I cannot wait for Monday!
The TV Guide listings used to have it as two hours, but now it's only showing as one hour. Univision's website says 2 hours though, so fingers crossed!

A big thank you Marta-- I was surprised to read that you lost interest in Lichita but am glad that you are now back in the fold if only for the short time that is left. Anyway, for me anyway, it's been a most enjoyable blast.
So the big guy has Alicia. Is he going to take her somewhere and do her in or will he try to finish her off right there in his apartment and then dump her somewhere? If he tries to do her in there on the spot, I suspect that either Roberto or Draco will pop in and come to her rescue. Just a wild guess but what do I know?
Gumi never makes me nervous. Yes he is like a deer that has crashed into a convenience store but I think that he's/his character is hilarious. Gummi reminds me of another loveable character, Pancho Lopez in Una Familia Con Suarte who was also hilarious.
Luciana and Gumi are like pure gold together.
Like everyone else I hoping for a two hour finish tomorrow. If it isn't, too much will have to be left out.
I almost did but can truthfully say that I never completely lost faith in Sherlyn/Magos. In the last couple of episodes, she has really come full circle and is starting to take on life as an adult and as a mother. Don't know if it will ever happen--I am starting to loose faith that Sherlyn will finally be cast in a leading role and not just as a family member. I think that time for this is starting to run out. I mean, if the networks haven't thought of it before, well the clock is ticking
