El Hotel de los Secretos #44, 3/29/16: Hidden Charms
Labels: hotel
No great detail, but the basics are there. Not a lot of substance this go 'round. ; ? ]
Best scene: Garrido getting shot. Good surprise. Just reward for knowing waaaay too much evidently.
2nd best scene: Diego noticing the blood on his shirt cuff.
Promises to be another good one tonight.
This show just keeps gettin better the more the actors settle into character and interact together. Small things like Diego replacing his cufflink into the box and Natalia making a small comment that she used her day off to be there in Andres room all day as she prepared to leave.
So Julio and Isabel weren't continuing to investigate Cristina's murder but who attacked Andres?
Teresa doesn't need Cecilia's help, Isabel wasn't going anywhere. Cecilia wants to put herself squarely in the middle.
Well, Garrido got removed from the active actor list. Wow, did not expect that! And either did he by the look on his face. So does Diego have a soft spot for Belen or is he one of those who has no qualms beating a woman but won't actually kill one. Found letting her go an interesting option. We shall see her again I'm sure. And Diego burning the shirt, and cuffs...boy does like to play with fire. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Can Andres please now have his eyes open and stop mooning over Belen. Poor Natalia...
What fun watching Elise finding out she's busted. Best. Thing. Ever. I actually wanted to feel bad for her little cohort in treachery since her livelihood depends on that woman too, but it was a tad difficult. I'll work on it.
Now, the next fun part will be watching Teresa when she realizes all this manipulation was for nothing and Alfredo is worthless...to her in every way. He was only tolerable for the money he was going to bring in. All her plans and allegiances are falling apart....what fun. And Sophia is a mess, on the verge of telling everything, and all for nothing? How does she stay quiet now--she lost her end game too.
Please, dear lord, I don't want to see Cece or either of her girls, getting it on with Diego. I am finding that I truly dislike the character, the way she talks, and wish she was out of the picture. Can't quite figure our her end game(what--she wants to set up her business there cause I don't think Genaro would be too happy--different class, but still competition), but I already want her gone.
I think Angela will have to be the one to tell Andres the truth now.

And poor Elise (literally). Wait until Teresa finds out! She will out-smug any smugger that has ever smugged. Elise is done for. Now would be a good time to put that country club plan into effect if they can figure out how to do it without Diego's cash.
At least Isabel came out of the episode ok. No more sex with Diego! Yippee!

I think he's that ashamed of his father and who he is and thinks aligning with Diego somehow will make him better. I doubt Violetta will see it that way, but my guess is that is exactly what he does. Shows up in a suit to strut his stuff and say he has a new job as Diego's "assistant". I think the correct term is goon. Poor Lupe. And NO WAY should he wind up with Violetta. Nope nope nope.

Violeta ends up with Gabriel
Natalia ends up with Andres
Jacinto ends up with a brief but effective prison sentence
Belen ends up either in the ground or working for Cecilia.
And Felipe ends up with George Sand aka Jorge Arenas, lol.
I sure wished we knew more about Cristina's time at the hotel prior to receiving the letter (and her relationship with Diego). Was she as defiant as Belen and if so over what?
I would like to know what kind of relationship they had. Despite their apparent similarities, it doesn't seem as though they were close - not close enough for Cristina to tell her about the letter or the blackmail. And Belen seemed resentful of Cristina's promotion. But they did share a room and managed not to kill one another. Did they bicker constantly? Maintain a frosty silence? Pretend to be bestest friends?
Gobluefan - neither Isabel nor Julio has shown interest in anyone else, nor are there any other characters that they are likely to get involved with. So unless this ends up being the first TN I've ever heard of where the main characters go their separate ways, yeah I'd pretty much bet on them getting back together. Maybe even a several times before this thing is over.
It's slightly possible that some even bigger stars will join the cast and seduce Julio and Isabel, but I wouldn't bank on it.
Heck no should Violeta end up with Jacinto! Natalia needs to get over her issues and help the girl out. Think of the alternative, Natalia.

The reason Diego killed Garrido is because Belen mentioned that Diego and she had twin children in front of Garrido, and he didn't want anyone else to know about that, so he shot him.
I thought Diego was going to kill Belen too, so I was surprised that he let her go. Andres will not understand why Belen left, unless Angela feels sorry for him and actually tells him what happened to the babies, but I doubt she will. Julio may figure it out and tell him thought, which I hope he does. Finally the first clue for Isabel and Julio about Angela and Romulo is right there, but I think it's going to take a lot longer for them to figure it all out.
So who was the stranger asking another stranger about where the hotel is? Maybe he knows the doc.
Considering the size of that grave I am shocked that Diego didn't kill Belen. Hunt her for sport later? That does sound like him. He is a sadist and a sociopath. He better have a spectacular Karmageddon.
Killing Garrido isn't such a surprise when one considers he is a screw-up and would have revealed secrets Diego wanted kept.
Cecelia is a loose cannon. She will start some major trouble and expect Julio to get her out of it.
Finally, could there be anything better to happen to Elise than to discover she isn't rich anymore? No.
Love the way you state things, Jardinera. Busy day and so often it seems I miss your recaps. Tend to be a first thing in the morning person and then never get to the computer again.
Lots of surprises last night. Alfredo's mother's lament about having to put up with her horrid husband (with his hairy back) and her even more horrid mother-in-law....for NADA! was both funny and poignant. Clearly, there was nothing at all she enjoyed about her marriage but the hopes of a tidy fortune after his death. Sorry Charlie.
I rather like Cecilia. She certainly adds a lush element to the hotel. And the actress played such a whiner in the last show I watched with her, I'm delighted to see her now playing an out and out minx.
The show continues to be fascinating. i literally jumped when Diego suddenly shot Garrido.
Thanks Jardinera. Always great.
This show is so engaging and unpredictable, I too gasped when Diego turned to Garrido and fired his gun! I was also yelling at Jacinto: "Don't do it! Don't do it! Don't give Diego the blood-stained sleeve! Aaaargh, you dummy!"
