Sueno de Amor, #4, Friday, 03/12/16 There is no alegria in the Alegria family

Hello, my patio peeps! I'll try to cover as much as possible from the episode, but fair warning: I blended some scenes together to give this a better flow. Sorry for the bad editing, I'm writing the first part on the run.

Part one (part two later in the afternoon)

We start with Ricardo and his operation to catch La Sombra. The guy that gets killed in the fight turns out not to be the feared Sombra, though. Ricardo is muy molesto.
Back at the operations center - imagine a Star Trek meets FBI quarters meets Total Recall - Ric gets proof that La Sombra, Maximilano Izzaguire, had been in the house at some time, they found his prints there. They also got a child's drawing and an ultrasound (?!). These are some serious clues that they need to look into.
Police work gets interrupted by a call from home - it's Ric's wife, Tracy, telling him he needs to get back ASAP. Ric is not happy about it, but he lets his assistant know that he has to catch the next flight back to LA.

Pedro and Esperanza are home, talking about the kid's love life. He tells her about Kristel and how she didn't even glance at him. But how could that be, since he is so guapisimo? Mother talk, Pedro is not so sure about it.
Later on Espe is still working on the exam that she has to prepare one more time. Pedro offers to help, but there is nothing that he can do. He goes to his room, but he can't find his sleep, he's too worried about his medical condition and how he can fix it (as if!)

Pato Luca are still at the barrio party in Luca's honor. The guy he saved babbles a speech (he's drunk), calling Luca Lucas repeatedly, to everyone's amusement. Later on Pato Luca dance and kiss and stare at one another how only telenovela couples can.
As they are about to leave, another drunk touches Pato by mistake (I think). Luca, the hero, just grabs Pato's hand, but doesn't seem interested to start a fight. The guy who invited him at the party does, however and things almost turn into an all blown out barrio fight, but Luca is so amazing that he breaks it off, under Pato's worshiping eyes.

Arriving in LA in the blink of an eye, Ric has presents for his adorable kids (the girl is Luz from MCET, almost unrecognizable, since she's so grown up). They are all ecstatic with the reunion. Ric is a great dad, he plays with them and the toys he brought (that he probably had stashed in his locker at the super police headquarters in Mexico, just in case he needed to run home). Their spanglish is I suppose common for mixed families like theirs and Cristian de la Fuente is very natural with the kids, since he has a daughter about the same age.
They are all playing joyfully when suddenly the atmosphere gets icy cold, with the arrival of Tracy and her fuchsia bags. The kids suddenly turn sad and Ric asks them to kiss their mom good-bye and go to sleep.
After they're gone, what we can only assume is round 1000 of fighting between the parents starts. How can she leave them again, can't she see that they're suffering because they can't connect with her? Isn't she heartbroken over it? Ric wants to know.
No, Tracy is cold and calm, they are well taken care of by him, her job is too important. She's going to Africa, she's part of an organization fighting to save endangered species, she doesn't have time for the children. Hmmm, so they give her an actual important job and make her as unlikable as possible in the process?
Ric is not impressed, he's tired of her always putting the job before the family, his work is important, too, but he always makes time for the kids. He's worried for their well being, they're suffering too much, the only solution is the divorce, no matter how much she doesn't want to even think about the idea.  They are two strangers living under the same roof, she's only using their home as a hotel and they haven't had any intimacy in years, so why prolong the agony of  their relationship and torture the kids with their constant fighting (and yes, they are both listening to the whole thing from the stairs and crying)?
Tracy has to leave, she doesn't have the time to go through this again. She asks Ric to take care of the kids and is out the door. They come back down and hug their dad, who is crying a little bit, too. He tries to put on a brave face for them, though, rushing them up the stairs and into their bedroom.
The kids ask for a story before going to bed and the chosen one is a dragon tale, with visas and planes.
At the same time in Mexico Pato arrives home and Espe scolds her for being late. Even if Luca is a decent guy, Pato needs to take care, she went through a lot of trouble when she was young for being too trusting. Yes, Ric was a good guy, too, but look how that turned out.
Later on, Pedro and Pato can't sleep and they both go to Espe's bed, asking for a story, like little kids would. And they want a dragon story!
We get a split screen of Espe and Ric, each with their respective kids, asking God and the Virgen to protect them.

Part two
The next day

At school Salma is trying to charm Adrian once again, but he's definitely not interested - she's only 14. So what, she's woman enough to get into a cat fight with Estrella. Esperanza has to intervene to break them apart, and Silvana is also there, jumping to defend her beloved daughter. She verbally attacks Estrella and her lack of class and refinement, while Esperanza tries to point out that arguing in the middle of the street is not very classy either.
The bells ring at both schools, so the kids spread out. Estrella doesn't seem too happy with Adrian after what has happened and Salma isn't exactly thanking her mother, either, for interfering.

It's early morning in LA and Ric is jogging on the beach and doing push-ups or some kind of sport that I can't remember because I was too busy fanning myself.
After that, he goes back home, fixes breakfast for the kids, packs their lunches and combs their hair (even the little girl's pigtails) - yes, we get it, he's a great dad.

For some reason Kristel is back at the construction site, apparently busy with some work, which I don't get since she's supposed to be in school. Oh, wait, is she studying to be an architect, like Pedro? Then it makes sense. Erasmo sees her and hurries to give her a sunflower - it is artificial, this way it will last forever. He also has a song for her, something he wrote himself. He doesn't have a voice, but his colleague (El Chapo) does, so in the next minutes we get an actual serenade at the construction site, with all the workers watching, as Chapo sings and Erasmo bends on one knee to stare at a smitten Kristel. It sounds ridiculous, but I actually found the scene romantic and the singing is amateurish enough to seem almost plausible.
In my opinion Erasmo and Kristel click much better than PatoLuca and their nauseating sweetness - maybe it's a chemistry thing or the fact that I don't feel like Erasmo and Kristel are pushed down our throats quite as much as the other two.
Anyway, the serenade (practically a love declaration) is over and the workers go about their business. Kristel has to go back to work, too and once alone Erasmo sees his sweetheart's father. His message is very clear: stay away from my daughter.

Esperanza has brought test results to her class. Both Paulo, the kid who was failing in the first episode, and Salma, got bad scores, because he cheated after her and she is obviously clueless about school work.

When the class is out, Espe gets several calls from Ric. Not only did she save his number in her phone, but she also added a recent, handsome picture of him. Did she find that on socialbook or asked him for a photo before they parted ways the night before?
She finally answers but she's not happy that he called. He just wanted to say hello, he's back in LA because his wife Tracy had to leave urgently. Espe gets very sad when she hears the wife's name but then they get to talking about raising children and always wondering if they're happy and if, as parents, you ever do right by them.
Kids are a priority for both of them and they have both changed so much. Ric can't help but say that she is more beautiful now then she was before; she looks uncomfortable, I think the knot in her stomach is the size of Texas.

Ernesto shows up at school, wanting to talk to Esperanza about helping him get close to Pato. He hears that Ric showed up in her life again and is not happy about it - wasn't this guy dead?
Espe tells him that she won't interfere in his relationship with Pato, she's a sweet girl, an angel, if he's honest and has an open heart, he will win her affection.

Viviana drops by Luca's office with her friend's daughter who is looking for a "job" - getting into Luca's pants before Pato gets the chance to, I think.
Luca says there are no openings for now, but Viviana is insistent enough, she introduces the two, practically pushing the girl, Vania, into Luca's arms. Just then Pato shows up (she's become a regular at his job) and isn't happy with what she sees. Luca runs after her, thinks her jealousy is cute but there is nothing to worry about. They make up quickly and Luca pushes his mother and Vania out to make room for Pato. She brought a picnic basket and he likes it so much that he calls her "mi amor". She's surprised, all smiles, these two are sickeningly sweet. We get it, you're in love! Mid to late 20's and a 17 years old who is still in school, step siblings with a complicated family history equals perfect soulmates because they are both pretty, cleared eyed and young.

Espe has managed to get rid of Ernesto just in time for Ric to call again. This show has really bad editing, I always feel like I'm missing stuff.
Ric is on the street, in LA, thinking about her and telling her that he still loves her after all these years. Seeing her has completely changed his life, he wants to catch up on lost time, can he hope that she feels the same? Esperanza looks broken inside - she squeezes her fists to say that she doesn't love him anymore. Sadness all around, the patio falls silent as the episode comes to an end.

Join us next week to find out:
- when will Ric take his first shower
- how much dry cleaning costs for the musturd uniforms
- if rich Luca took Pato at a barrio party for their first date, where will Erasmo take Kristel, to a homeless canteen?
-  how quick will Tracy forget about endangered animals, when she realizes she's in danger to lose the beautiful piece of meat that she's married to
-  how many facial creams will Viviana need when Ernesto asks her for the divorce.

Thanks for the recap!

I guess I have been waiting to comment since 8 o'clock last night, LOL!

Here it is:
If they know we know Ricardo is not going to die, why make the previews in a way that they have a dead body but is not the korean agent and leave like it could be either the shadow or Ricardo? Eso es muy molesto.

So they know his name and have his fingerprints but have never seen his face? Ask Pato, she has a Socialbook account! I am sure she can find him! Besides, the random kid in school that they have made sure we remember his name is for a reason, they have to be connected.

The reason Kristel doesn't like Pedro is because he is totally imperfect. Hello? Have you seen his ears all chopped up? Ew!

The guy from the party was so drunk he could have starred in one of those drunk history sketches from Comedy Central, but he instead harassed Pato and insisted to dance with her. Sorry Charlie, she's tooken!

The toy Ricardo gave Rodriguito is a balero, and if you want to see how to play it, look for a Cantinflas movie where he is a priest. Or the clip, I am sure is on YT. He does a wonderful job.

So this is how you call this TiroLoco McGraw accent. I thought spanglish were they way people spanishes english words like mop (mopear), push (pushar) and all that, but now it all makes sense. Please look for Adam Sandler SPANGLISH (dubbed in ''spanglish'' of course, not the original subtitled) I had so much fun hearing everybody talk like Tracy.

So Tracy chooses to save the endangered animals from Africa and let the ones in her house go extinct?

I need women's POV: Panning a woman from head to toe, is it sexist or funny?

Thanks for part one Adriana.

"but Luca is so amazing"

Cannot speak for the other women but panning from head to toe is not funny. Urgh.

Thank you for this first part, Adriana! Your recap is superior in every sense to the episode itself. What the heck did I watch yesterday? ¡Da pena ajena!

In their first scenes, Ricardo's adorable kids were speaking normal Spanish with a very slight hint of a North American accent then all of a sudden, a caricatural "gringo" accent appeared out of nowhere. Qué demonios was that? Children with one Spanish-speaking parent don't talk like that! Not when their Spanish grammar is that good! As for Tracy's English, let's just say that I'm grateful for the inclusion of Spanish subtitles because I had no idea what that woman was mumbling so vehemently about.

I rolled my eyes when Ricardo talked about not having any nookie with his wife for so long and implied that he stayed on the straight and narrow. Ha! I do not believe that for a second! Who are you kidding, Ric? Did you see you lately? Women must be karate-kicking each other to get to this hunk of burning love. Bras must spontaneously fly open every time he flashes those pearly whites at a straight female. Come on!

Last but not least, Viviana had better start working hard to break up that cheesefest that is the PatoLuca pairing. They're grating on my nervios!

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so cranky but I didn't sleep well last night and Osorio is just killing me with stoopidity! On the bright side, Lopsided Bobcut is still alive and maybe after her brushup with death, Ricardo will let her flirt with him?

Thanks again, Adriana! :)

-- Pablo: Here is my contribution to your survey. Panning from head-to-head is sexist in lame loser kind of way. It's not the kind of sexism that makes me want to militate, it's the kind that makes me scoff and shake my head at the ludicrous stoopidity!

I guess it could be funny if the context is a SNL sketch, but Viviana was showing Luca the merchandise and I just disliked the way the camera went from the bottom of her feet to her head. Look, and she also has perfect teeth! Care to inspect?

Adriana, excellent part 1. Loved "Star Trek meets FBI quarters meets Total Recall". Perfect!

So I expected a snarling, wide eyed evil Sabine who oozed with evil (as her characters are). I saw a determined career woman (think a harder Diane Keaton in Baby Boom). Your "Hmmm, so they give her an actual important job and make her as unlikable as possible in the process?" mirrored my feelings exactly. Very important work indeed.

Now, if she doesn't love her children, that would be one thing. But if she expects dual parental responsibility, I'm not uncomfortable with that. At the moment. Many children do not have the time with their mothers they deserve. Many work several jobs, more than full time, simply to eke out a living. Many children live with not two absent parents, but one.

I must take heart with "Ric calling Espe to tell her that he still loves her after all these years (not cool, but swoon!)". Yes. Once Sabine shows us why we must count her out.

The only time I have thought the head to toe shots of a woman are appropriate is when she has had a makeover - and there is a sweet smile rather than an attempt to show someone is supposedly sexy. We are fairly astute. We get that :)

Nandicta, hope you get some sleep shortly!

Adriana, thanks so much. Looking forward to Part 2.

Diana

Thanks, Adriana. Terrific Part 1.

Ricardo must have some outside help with the kids. I don't see how he can always be there for them when both he and Tracy have jobs where they need to leave town at the drop of a hat.

I'm enjoying Viviana, more funny than mean and Ernesto and Luca pay her no mind.

Why do the 2 mas guapos, FC y CdlF have to be in 2 trivial, stupid novelas? We have a really good one for comparison, El hotel, making PyP & Sueño even more yawn worthy.

Pablo,I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole Sombra thing, too. They know his name and have his prints but Ric also knows his face, right? How else would he instantly realise that the guy who died wasn't La Sombra? I watched Spanglish, too, I found it interesting enough.

Nandicta, I think we are supposed to believe Ric has been a monk all these years : badass job, lovable father, abstinent husband and eternally in love with his first gf. Yeah, right, we get it, he deserves a chance from Espe! You put it briliantly - a guy like that without a woman? Lol
PatoLuca = so sweet my teeth hurt

Diana, I don't like Ric's dismissal of his marriage, either but maybe in his head he hasn't been married in a while.

I actually don't mind panning if it comes from a guy that I like. Yeah, I'm shocking myself, too, but it's been a while since any nasty specimen has done this to me, so my memory could be fuzzy about it.
I'll try to post Part 2 when I get back from work, later this afternoon. I really didn't have the time to give this recap the attention it deserved.

Please, dont let Patolucas near Pedrito, he could get into a diabetic coma...

Pablo, LOL at your diabetic coma comment.

Part Two is up. Enjoy!

Adriana, thanks for the excellent recap. You "next week" comments were the best and so funny!

Pablo, great coma comment!

My main complaint about the episode is that too little time was given to Ricardo's beach routine.

I enjoyed the workplace serenade.

Baleros have always required a certain skill I have never had.

Tracy is really being portrayed as a cold distant mother whose work seems to be the most important thing. I would be equally critical if the character was a father. She would not be missed.

I am still not sympathetic to Ricardo's 20 year disappearing act and was happy that Esperanza told him she did not love him. Here is hoping she does not take him back quickly or easily unless his backstory contains amnesia or a coma (as I have earlier said).

All in all a much more entertaining first week that I had anticipated.

Hi you guys. I watched 3 out of the 4 episodes, the first 2, realized the reason I would even tune is wasn't in those, so I watched this one.
With a heavy sigh, I just can't do it. I see Osorio all over this, and I won't be able to hang in. The musical numbers were the last straw. I'm disappointed that Cristian lowered his standards and agreed to this.
Anyway, hang in there, I'll cross my fingers that it meets your expectations.

I've seen bits and pieces of the episodes this week, but what I have seen so far looked so ridiculous that I laughed out loud because it was so bad. I feel bad for the actors, but maybe they're just having fun with it (or maybe it's just a paycheck...) But seriously, why couldn't they just hire an American actress with a real non-native accent in Spanish to play Tracy? I also noticed the kids' gringo accents came and went, so odd!

I try to watch as many TNs as I can since Univision is the only Spanish-language channel I have, but I don't think I can stick with this one every night. So I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to the recappers - I'll probably check out some episodes once they're free on the website, and the recaps will allow me to just skip to the scenes with Cristian or Osvaldo; which are the only 2 reasons why I considered checking this TN out in the first place.

Thank you for Part 2, Adriana! It's hilarious and you spotted an extra Osorio stoopidity that slipped by me: "Espe gets several calls from Ric. Not only did she save his number in her phone, but she also added a recent, handsome picture of him. Did she find that on socialbook or asked him for a photo before they parted ways the night before?" Hahahaha! It looks like the continuity guy takes a lot of ciggie breaks.

-- Diana: Thank you. I got a good night of restful slumber, so the cranky sleep-deprived monster is gone. :)

I agree that head-to-toe shots are appropriate only when they are needed. For example, to show a makeover, as you mentioned, or during fashion or bridal shows, or for comedic effect, like the case of an SNL sketch for instance, as Pablo pointed out.

-- Niecie: I am very entertained by Viviana as well, especially in her bickering scenes with Ernesto.

-- Variopinta: "Why do the 2 mas guapos, FC y CdlF have to be in 2 trivial, stupid novelas?" It is a shame indeed, and more so in the case of Cris de la Fuente, because I believe that PyP is Masterpiece Theatre compared to the bottomless pit of stoopidity that SdA is. Granted, PyP has many flaws but I'm so emotionally involved in that ratchet drama, it's ridonculous (and really embarassing for me to admit it). I really think that Eladio is one of the best characters that Colunga has ever played (please don't throw anything :D), because it allowed him to display a lot more acting range than any other past character of his, save for Manuel Fuentes-Guerra in "Amor Real", of course. I understand now why Colunga chose the meaty and controversial role of Eladio as his comeback, even though the novela itself leaves much to be desired.

As for our Chilean beefcake, I'm afraid it might be hard for him to recover from this one. He's not as good an actor as Colunga and Salinas are. Mejía and his abysmal "Corazón Salvaje" (2009) ruined Eduardo Yáñez for me. If Osorio does the same with MY Cristián, so help me, I will inundate him with hate mail!

-- Pablo: Your comment about PatoLuca causing a diabetic coma was so funny! I know it's early days but I can't stand those two! ¡Qué par de cursis! So sickly sweet, my tummy hurts! And Luca is acting like a 13-year old schoolgirl! Like Viviana said in Thursday's episode: "¡Bah! ¡Y recontra-bah!"

-- Jarifa: "My main complaint about the episode is that too little time was given to Ricardo's beach routine." Couldn't agree more! There was also a lost opportunity for a shower.

-- Cathyx: I do not blame you, amiga. PEAM, though rife with incoherences and sheer Osorio stoopidity, was a 100 times better than this one. MCET made me foreswear Osorio for life (well, almost). I only watched the parts where Navarro and Salinas were together, I couldn't stomach the rest, but it was still better than SdA. I'm hanging in here for Cris de la Fuente and for the amazing Patio that's forming around SdA. We are having a fantastic time poking fun at this TN. It's only been a week and I'm having a grand old time with my Patio Pals! The more Osorio tortures us, the more we'll retaliate with rip-roaring snark!

"Anyway, hang in there, I'll cross my fingers that it meets your expectations." Thank you. I don't know about my fellow commenters, but I had extremely low expectations from the get-go and Osorio is meeting them perfectly! Then again, I get to learn some Spanish, take the mickey, chitchat with the wittiest cleverest people on cyberspace and ogle a fine Chilean male specimen... Win! We'll miss you but please do visit us every once in a while! :)

-- J: I totally understand why viewers are running for the hills but there is no denying that this show is hilarious to watch (and in my personal opinion, even more hilarious to recap)! We're getting a lot of laughs out of it! Granted, we are laughing AT the show rather than WITH the show, but I'll take whatever I can get. Cris and Osvaldo are also very powerful reasons to keep watching. I understand if you feel like jumping ship but you're welcome to drop in for a chinwag whenever you feel like it! :)

Have a great Sunday, everyone! Catch you mañana!

Esperanza needs to get her head out of her butt. One teen is dealing with diabetes and she's clueless while the other teen is staying out late with a MAN she just met, not a fellow school boy, and not even a peep about using protection or slow down. Oh well, this is the same woman who's teen love appears again after 20 years and she has yet to ask him where ya been.

As for Ricky. Why explain yourself when a string of sweet nothings might do?

Tofie, Esperanza did tell Pato to be çareful because you never know...but I agree that the girls seems to have a lot of freedom. Just the other day she was supppsed to meet her father for the first time, she chated with him briefly and then on her way home she gets a call from her maybe brother and agrees to see him. Only he is not her brother and they end up spending the whole afternoon together... including going to his place! Did she even call her mom to tell her how the daddy -daughter first meet was?
And she has become a regular at his office, so much so that she finds it OK to gossip about her possible future mother in law with the secretary.

Nandicta, I think CdlF will be fine after this tn. MCET and PEAM weremessy but they were considered a succes.
Things could still improve and if not the guy is so hot, fans will forgive him everything.

J, hang in there! Why do you think we're watching if not for the eye candy? At the very least wait for the first shirtless scene - I know I won't be laughing then - drooling is more like it. :)

Thanks, Adriana! Much better than the saccharine episode. I love your "next week" comments also.

Good grief, the swelling music when Luca made the two drunks shake hands. Between that and the forced apology in the office, I think Luca has a real future as a preschool teacher! Maybe he can work at Esperanza's future school. You know, after all the constructora's buildings collapse because he's too busy snoozling with his underaged duckling to work. Patoluca, or as I call them, LuckyDuck, can take their nauseating romance offscreen anytime.

Okay, now I can see why Ricardo feels free to renew his romance with Esperanza. It sounded like that was not at all the first time he's told Tracy he wants a divorce; she just doesn't stick around to finish the conversation. But the marriage seems to have been over for years. I just can't figure out why they married in the first place, or why she had children if she has no interest in raising kids. Were they forced to marry and reproduce by the same villain agency that I assume held him captive and prevented him from contacting Espe for so long?

But also, how is a divorce going to solve anything for the kids? Their mother will still abandon them all the time, Ricardo will still want her to pay more attention to them, he'll still have his own busy dangerous job to do. I guess Ric and the kids had better move to a lower-class neighborhood in Mexico, which is obviously the only place familial happiness is found.

I can't find the comment now...but someone speculated maybe La Sombra is the parent of the kid whose grade Espe was supposed to change? That would explain why Headmistress Viper is so insistent on bending the rules for him; maybe she's been threatened or something. Though you'd think a sneaky thug would want his/her kid to learn and be smart. Whatever.

The panning bottom to top is gross. It's like she's a cow at the county fair; slap a blue ribbon on her.

The slow vertical scan is often done by one woman to another, with a sneer, to show that the scanner is superficial, judgmental, and bitchy, or just wants to wordlessly insult the other woman.

I think I did because someone said that apart of the families there was a "random kid", so who else would be so prominent as to be talked about more than the rest, right?

I probably will stick with it, mostly for the eye candy, but also because these TNs are the best way for me to improve my Spanish. I don't have a DVR though and I can't watch the most recent episodes on Univision's site since my cable company isn't one of the login options. Is there another way to watch online with Spanish subtitles (even if it's a subscription service)? Especially with El Hotel, I'd like to be able to watch each episode again the next day with and then without subtitles to see if I'm comprehending much.

Adriana Noel, this rather funnily hilarious.

I think viv will need to take a dive into a vat of facial cream. O course no one will be able be able to tell how she feels, the botox will freeze her face.

That lady that plays ric's wife, Ive seen her in english speaking shows, its been awhile. She hasn't changed much in the looks department, still attractive. What kind of species is she helping to protect that can take her away from her away from her human baby species?
And whose watchin the kids while hot daddy ric is in mexico declaring his love to espy? He should just move the kids to where he is, at least he wont have to leave his kids in another country. O they have a delimma.

Wouldn't be surprised if ernesto is LA SOMBRA!!!

Exactly Julia. "how is a divorce going to solve anything for the kids? Their mother will still abandon them all the time, Ricardo will still want her to pay more attention to them, he'll still have his own busy dangerous job to do"

This is a fight over who's job is more important and which parent is the stay at home parent and caregiver. Things they should have considered before the second child came. I'm allowing the possibility the boy was an "accident".

If Ricky is working for Interpol and chasing badguys across borders the little trip to Mexico wasn't his first, nor the only country he's been to, nor a quick overnighter and certainly will not be his last.

Now if Ricky sees a built in stay at home babysitter for his young children in Esperanza as he globetrots, he better look again, she's a hands off parent.

It's funny when these TN's portray LA like it's a suburb of Mexico City.

Exactly.
I insist that there is no justifiable excuse on Rich's side on why he spent 20 years without contacting Esperanza.

1 When he left to US to work and come back and marry, there were already engaged
2 People had phones (any kind, not necessarily cell phones) already in mid 90s
3 He married ANOTHER WOMAN. Let's say he had money to give big engagement parties
with hawks and everything, entered the country legally but overstay and had to misuse his visa permit working instead of ''just visiting'' and HAD TO marry for the papers. Still not a justifiable excuse.
4 He had 2 KIDS with such woman. When you marry with some hidden purpose you divorce as soon as you get the benefits, right? Now he had to stay married, at least for the kids.
5 HE joined the marines and then the FBI like Esperanza didn't existe
6 She said she has been thinking about him every 2 minutes for the last 20 years, but seems like HE HAS NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT HER at all!! His actions speak more than words

In Esperanza's defense, she said she thought he was dead and since marrying had an expiration date for her, she HAD TO marry Pedro's father (I still think Pato is older than Pedro, but juárever, who is still paying attention to little things, right? specially after all this). Still, she couldn't wait!

I just thought something funny. I am sure the first thing Ricardo got when he got here, was a PAGER! We called them BEEPERs in that time and even I had one (still have it).

This two are a lost cause and I agree with Osorio, they deserve each other!

Nandicta

FC survived a couple of Mejia masterpieces but he was young. I'm sure CdlF can survive this gem. Hopefully it will come to an early demise like Tempestad.
