Caray, Caray!

Pfiú! Ready. I hope you like it. Now if someone can help me, I don't know why the formatting is changing after I post. I use the same font and size and somehow some lines end up smaller. Has anybody experienced that? I usually write the recap somewhere else and then I copy and paste it here when is ready. Could that be the problem?
 

Another recapper seemed to be having the same problem over on EHDLS. Someone asked if they were using the HTML pane. I was told when I started recapping to use the HTML pane exclusively and not the COMPOSE pane. I only use the COMPOSE pane at the end to set up the page break and then switch back to HTML before I publish. Hope this helps. : )
 

Pablo, I think this is your best yet. I don't know where to start but to call it a "Pablo stream of consciousness masterpiece"! So much funny from "Dopey Hopey" to "La Esperanza es lo último que muere" to the "Alegreros" hug to the legendary "40 cm.." I cannot list them all. Thank you for the laughs this a.m.

They were studying good old Calderón de la Barca way back in the first week if this novela. They haven't got any farther? Surprising that Paulo was the only one on his phone.

The whole thing with Luca giving Anastasia another hug when he wants her to disappear is just incongruous with the dialogue. The old novela ploy where the "good guys" are too polite or too good to be nasty enough to do what they need to do. Call campus police and throw her out, but hug her? Don't think so. The "malentendido" strikes again.


 

Pablo, I missed most of this so thank you for all of the excellent details.

"Faith is the food of dreams (Hope and charity are just appetizer and dessert):, "The only shadow Ricardo is after, is Esperanza's" and "The kids, the rosetta stone and the coitus interruptus with Ernie are just too much to handle" were among my favorites.

I like Ricardo fussing over Esperanza and her children are being watchful and diligent. What a shame this had to happen for her to get a bit of rest. I'm glad though she has the option for more children if she wishes.

Interesting developments on the possibility of Pedro Sr. still being alive. I'm still not convinced that Ricky is the right one for Espe (Erasmo is my first choice). I'm not opposed to another galan arriving to try and woo her.

"Vivian discuss with Ana her boob job". I was scratching my head during this scene. Vivi is selfish and self centered and oblivious as to what her priority should be now (her son??). Sigh. Still, I am not a hater.

Jarifa, I didn't understand what warranted Anastasia getting a hug either. Actions speak louder than words Luca.

Thanks. i remember in PEAM people not knowing if what I was recapping was actually real or not, so I try to keep close to the facts with a little twist. More like a parody of whatever is going on or better maybe, what I actually would like in order to be amused.

Maybe is true what someone said, this novela has just about everything thrown in, that we won't need to watch anything else after. Osorio or not! Jajaja!
 

Diana, yes! He gives her a hug then tells her to get lost. Luca is turning out to be a real goof ball.

 

Just when I think you can't outdo yourself, you go ahead and surprise us! I was convinced that your pidgin Latin taxonomic names for these beasts were insuperable in their hilarity but you proved me wrong! Thank you, Pablo.

High point of the episode: I won my bet! I was right to say that Anastasia and Ernesto boinked. Where is my chilorta and Fanta Limón?

Low point of the episode: (The list is too long to fit here. It's pretty much 90% of the episode. Check the recap for more info). Dopey Hopey and Tricky Ricky telling Pedro that his dead daddy is the villain that destroyed their dream of love. I started screaming the minute they sat the poor kid down and we-need-to-talk'ed him: "Oh no, they wouldn't dare! Oh hell no, they wouldn't dare!" That was a d*ck move! It was just unforgivable and it doesn't accomplish squat other than tarnish the memory of a father Pedro didn't even know. That's assuming Pedro Sr did in fact commit the unforgivable crime of lying to Ric (and subsequently isolating him from every means of communications known to Man, even after his release from prison).

He is not entirely to blame. If in fact happens to be true that Pedro lied (he was fighting for his ''dream love'' and should be as valid as everybody else's. After all, aren't we all entitled to our own DREAM LOVE?), I am holding Esperanza responsible because she didn't waste a second ''mourning'' the ''death'' OF THE SO CALLED LOVE OF HER LIFE!! Please!!

Let's go farther and assume Pedro even told her Ricardo was dead. That's a bigger lie but she didn't ''guardó luto'' for a reasonable period of time, or even stayed single like some women do, ''to dress saints'' living in contemplation in memory of that great love of her life she just lost. Esperanza, you are as guilty as Pedro and Ricardo and frankly, my dear, you deserve each other and all bad things that come with it. It's the whole package, you won the tiger in the raffle! (it is your prize, but how good it really is?)

I'm with ya'll. Guess Ricky must totally destroy any other male that ever spoke to Esperanza especially the fathers of her children. To sit Pedro down so both Esperanza and Ricky could run him down, for keeping them apart, is vile. I imagine if Ricky (and Esperanza) had his druthers neither child would exist.


 

Novelas may be questionable in their quality, but never the members of the patio! : )
 

Thanks, Pablo! I love your reasoning that Espe would be fine...after all, Hope is the last thing to die. And the way you captured the discussion with the very enthusiastic doctor was funny, too.

Even if it were true that Pedro Sr. lied and helped keep Ricardolt and Espe apart, WHY would they feel the need to tell Pedro that? What possible good can it do to give him negative information about his long-gone father and make him feel like they think he should never have been born? Unless Daddy-o is actually ALIVE and they are trying to prep him to push papa away and welcome Ricky in his place.

And also, Tricky Ricky, no one believes that you had NO OTHER MEANS of contacting Espe other than your one phone call. Didn't you have a public defender? Your lawyer could have sent a message. A jailmate buddy with a visitor? A gossipy diaspora who would see your arrest on the local news and pass the chisme along back home? Computer time for good behavior? You weren't in a medieval dungeon.

Luca is an idiot. You don't tell someone to go away and leave you alone with your arms clamped around each other, your face snuggled into her shoulder. Mixed message there. And then to have the nerve to punch his psychotically grinning but entertaining roommate for having coffee with Pato?

Is Esperanza really planning to have more children? Shouldn't she be at least 40 already, if not a bit older? If she waits for Ricky to get a divorce, which could take awhile with Kracy's tactics, then they get together, then she tries to get pregnant which could take awhile given declining fertility, isn't she going to be like 43 or 44 at least when she has this theoretical child? That seems risky. Especially considering they already have 4 children between them. Wait, what am I thinking? She uses Eau de Protagonista Elixir. She can have three more kids, no problem (well, probably a dramatic hospital event or seven, but ultimately it will all work out fine).

I had a bit of a laugh at Anastasia advising Viviana not to go too big while she herself was squished into a too-small top.


 

The possibility is open to use in case of low rating, we can always use a Down Syndrome baby...
 

Now since we might get into ghostly territory, I want to see UFO's and humanoids flying over Mexico City, lost time, screen memories, chupacabras and maybe a Bigfoot for good measure.
 

If we really must delve into the supernatural, I have one request and one request only. I want Luca to be abducted by aliens and returned to Sueñolandia 30 seconds before the word "Fin" appears on our screens. Which reminds me, how much more before this stoopidity ends? Cris de la Fuente mentioned 123 episodes on Twitter. Any chance a wise and kind soul would pull the plug or tighten the purse strings or transfer Osorio to the costume department?
 

I'll second that request, Nandicta, except I don't really care whether they return him.

I mostly keep watching to find out when and how they'll somehow turn Ricardo into a real galán. And whether any progress will ever be made on that building that's under construction.
 

Nandicta, thanks so much for giving us an end point of a possible 123 episodes. I like knowing what the end game is. Luca as an abductee would be perfection!
