Now we know Pliers' motive was to get out of some trouble. However, now that Yago is flirting with Ambar, Pliers will have more of a motive to get rid of him.

Ambar is cute but how old is she supposed to be? Omar's tombstone said 1977-2005, so that would put him at 39 years old and I will assume Sara, Lucio & Abel are also in that age range. She looks too young for Abel AND Yomar.

Bruno & Alejandra's spidey senses should be going off with the police guy getting angry at their questions.

Why didn't Abel get more of a cut from the heist?

Omar didn't know Sara at all if he didn't know she had a little sister. I know he told Katia that Sara never mentioned Ambar but that's a pretty big omission to keep from the man you're going to marry. It's not like Ambar was the family criminal or black sheep; she was a little girl. Why hide her and where is Sara & Ambar's mother?

Note: a character mentioned Sara cared more about Ambar than she did Matias and Ambar was Sara's weak point. (I think that's what I heard)
 

Hello All,

Long time lurker on various forums here. I'll admit I wasn't going to watch this one but I was bored and took a look and now I am hooked. This novela moves at a great steady pace and I love how the past and the present move together seamlessly. In regards to Sara and Ambar dynamic, when we saw Ambar as a child and the way that Sara was so concerned about her, my immediate thought was that (possible spoiler) Ambar is her daughter. There is sisterly concern and love but there is something very motherly about Sara's love for Ambar. That is not to say that an older sister can't love a younger sibling like a child especially of they raised them but my spidey senses are tingling about these two. I don't think that Matias is Omar's son because I can't see Lucio raising someone else's kid, plus Teo was like she cares more for Ambar then Matias. On the other hand Matias may be Omar's kid because how could Lucio explain marrying Sara the woman that had your son condemned to prison. I'm sure he must of convinced them that he was only marrying her for the sake of their "grandson" that which would allow for the acceptance of Sara in their home. So many questions that I want answered now (lol)

Anon207- When Sara left her father and sister, it was clear she wanted to leave her whole past life behind her. If she had told Omar that she had a sister, she would have had to explain where that sister was and with whom. And by the time he proposed, he was already her mark- being set up by her and her dad. There is no mother in the picture, as far as we know. It was Teo who told Yago on the phone that Ambar is THE most important person to Sara.

I thought it was interesting that Abel didn't know they were setting up Omar to take the fall, and especially for murder, until after the heist. Clearly, because of the whole getting Omar to hold the gun thing, Lucio and Sara ALWAYS intended for the guard to die and for Omar to get blamed. Lucio is the one who took off his mask first and then pressured Abel to shoot the man dead. Lucio and Sara are even worse than I thought. In this way, not only do they get rid of Omar, and get rid of the witness (the guard), but they also tie up Abel in guilt for being the one to kill the guard and put the last nail in Omar's coffin. Now we know why Abel was so broken up in the courtroom in the flashback.
 

Of course, none of the "guilt" that any of these three felt moved them enough to come forward, tell the truth, and turn themselves in to free Omar and relieve his family's torment. So, none of their tears matter.
 

I just want to know why Abel is not living in the lap of luxury that Lucio & Sara are living in. It clearly bothers him, but why hasn't he done something about it?
 

Anon207- Abel is pretty stupid and visceral. I don't think it was the heist alone that made Sara and Lucio as rich as they are now. Clearly, in the years since the heist they have invested some real cunning and business sense into building their wealth. Traits that Abel doesn't have.
 

Okay. I actually do feel a little sorry for Abel. And by "a little" I mean enough that I hope he catches a break even though he's the one who pulled the trigger. He seemed deeply horrified by the whole ordeal. He'll have to do something to make up for that, maybe some time in jail, but I don't want to see him dead the way I want to see Sara and Lucio dead. I feel like a lifetime of being a hapless third wheel and a clueless loser is punishment in itself.

Seriously, I want Lucio to die twice. Like, he dies, gets revived, and then dies again. Horribly.

Ambar's moment of wooziness was interesting. An ominous sign? Or just what you would expect when someone's been partying in the hot sun?

I wonder if Sara's dad is in the picture. I don't think he would take too kindly to Sara & Lucio living high off the hog while he's still in his apartment.

Abel is stupid for not blackmailing Sara & Lucio for his fair share. He did the actual work to get them the riches they now live off of while he's parking cars.

Even though Sara & Lucio may have invested money to get rich (and Lucio has told Abel at least once that too bad Abel didn't have the capital to do the same), Abel SHOULD HAVE had the capital to get rich ...Sara & Lucio were broke just like Abel was.

Hmm, we don't know if Ambar is falling ill again or if she's just too hot in the sun. If she's ill I fear our cute little Ambar won't be with us til the end.

I too feel some sympathy for Abel. He actually wanted to run back and get the gun. I think that if he wasn't the one that killed the guard he may have confessed all. And I think Lucio set him up to make sure his own hands were clean in that. Lucio could have done the job himself. He didn't need to bring in Abel. Also, if Lucio had done it himself he wouldn't have needed to kill the guard. The fact that there were 2 people involved meant they had to kill the guard otherwise the police would have been looking for Omar's accomplice, most likely one of his two bf's or gf.

Ambar seems very much carefree so I'm thinking daddy must be out of the picture. She looks way too young to me for Yago but that doesn't mean much in tn's.

I wonder what Yago is going to do when he finds out his brother and bro's gf are hunting for the truth. After so many years, would this put them in danger? With Lucio and Sara?
 

I'm guessing Abel did get his fair share of the proceeds, but instead of investing with Sara and Lucio, he (perhaps in an effort to put some distance between himself and them) "invested" in something else - most likely something foolish that fell through and he lost everything. And then he had to go back to them and blackmail them into giving him a job.
 

I'm not buying Ambar is Sara's Achilles heel she doesn't care for anyone but herself. She left Ambar and it was probably a good thing her father found her.

I don't feel sorry for Abel, he was a thug and he killed a man. If he wants redemption team up with Yago since both were played like a fiddle.

I can't imagine the blind side Omar got. Sara was the brainchild of his take down.
 

Anyone else have problems seeing the show last night? I have TWC and the first 15 minutes of the show all I had was a black screen.
 

I am really enjoying Pablo Valentín as Abel. Nice to see him in something other than a comedy.
 

Boy do I agree that the whole way Omar was set up and Abel made to do his part shows Lucio and Sara in whole new light. Go ahead and cry crocodile tears...hope you drown in them.

I also find it interesting how well the above two get along until either Omar, or now Yago, is brought up. They then bicker, Sara seems to take the upper hand and it pisses Lucio off and then so much for the smiles. But the very next day, they are all chummy again. So Sara seems perfectly happy in her lot.

I take Ambar to be somewhere around the 18-21 year age range. She looked to be@ 6-9 when she was in the flashbacks, 12 years have past, so that would about fit. Old enough to hook up with someone, just looks so much younger than her sister. The fact Abel is so hooked on her, she apparently sees him as a friend only, is kind of icky and I don't feel comfortable with watching them at some points. He seems to be a hot head.

Oh yeah, Julie, I noticed that bit of a "deep breath" moment with Ambar. Maybe our indicator that Daddy hadn't been wrong in that she had some condition? Hope we don't see Yago pull a Heathcliff and try to use her as part of his revenge against Sara and Lucio. Won't be a fan.

I do wonder what Yago's goal is for them. Bankrupt? Jail? I don't think he means to hurt them physically. I just hope Sara doesn't get off light.
 

Yomar probably doesn't think that SARA was the master mind; he will be shocked just like Abel was shocked when HE found out. Yomar probably thinks LUCIO was the mastermind.

I think Bruno & Alejandra will be in danger not only from Lucio & Sara but from the investigators too because the police force does not want anyone looking into this case; as far as they're concerned Omar Guerrero did it and that's it. But common sense would tell you more than one person is involved, yet we never saw any evidence that the police were looking for anyone else other than Omar. So another question that needs to be answered is "Did the police have any other suspects and if not, why not?" The answer to that question is what will put Bruno & Alejandra in danger.
 

Anon207- Not to mention there were probably ALL kinds of irregularities and rule breaking with the way the police handled the case and then treated Omar, all in their zeal to put away someone who had killed a law enforcement "brother", and close a case. I'm sure there are plenty of people, who are probably now high up in the police force, who don't want that brought to light. Those kids need to tread carefully.
 

Yomar's wrath is mighty, so I would guess that his goal is to totally destroy them. I would like to see him pit them against one another. Then he can sit back and watch as they all kill one another or end up in prison.

Regarding the sympathy factor, I said yesterday I felt a little sorry for Sara because of that tiny fragment of a conscience she seemed to have. Well, after last night I'm over that. She had plenty of time to think about what she was going to do to Omar.

When she made that pained face when Abel started freaking out, that was pathetic. Surely it had occurred to her that he would be upset about being tricked and used. Whatever she thought her face was showing at that moment, it wasn't empathy for Abel or remorse for Omar. It was self-pity. She was feeling sorry for herself because doing something profoundly rotten caused her a moment of discomfort.

I still think Lucio is the worst and that he should die twice. (I'm not convinced that Sara was the mastermind. Perhaps he came up with the ideas, but convinced her that they were her ideas.) But I don't think Sara deserves any special mercy either.

As for Ambar supposedly being Sara's weak spot, it sort of makes sense if Sara regards Ambar as a pure, unspoiled version of herself who never "had to" do bad things. If I'm right about that, then Sara will be devastated if Ambar ever shows a hint of corruption. And that seems inevitable.
 

True we don't know who came up with the final plan. We know Sara planned to use the casino layout and Omar's id to gain access. Whether she was going to do it alone or with her father's help, we don't know. We also don't know if she, at that point, intended for Omar to take the wrap. Omar could have told police his access card was stolen. After Lucio came involved, obviously the plan changed but Sara would still have had to agree to the change and agree to have Omar take the fall. Funnily enough I think they made the plan a whole lot more complicated and deadly than it needed to be. With only one guard to deal with and Omar's pass, and no security cameras it looks like, this would have been a pretty easy robbery. If these guys were smart enough to get Omar to take the fall, they were smart enough to make sure he didn't, by staging a robbery or showing him in public while the heist went down.

 

Sara's dad was the one who came up with the idea to rob the casino. Sara was putting those plans into place when Lucio caught her stealing Omar's blueprints.

Sara is the mastermind (well Damian is the ultimate mastermind), not Lucio. Lucio is a mark, he just doesn't know how much of one he is.

I'm not saying Lucio is this hapless victim of Sara; he's not. He's a full participant.

But Sara's plan was to rob the casino and frame Omar for doing it and that was something Sara planned to happen with or without Lucio.

Yomar is going to be devastated when he finds out framing him for prison wasn't Lucio's idea, it was Sara's all along.
 

Excellent episode and I am agreeing with most of the above.

The actress playing Sara is in her late 30s so Ambar could easily be her daughter rather than her sister. This situation wouldn't be anything new in TNs or the the real world. If Ambar is a college student or a recent grad that would make Yago old enough to be her (very young) father. Not cool, but not uncommon to TNs either.

Abel looks like he might be quite feckless with money so he could have squandered whatever he got 10 years ago.

Still waiting to see if Sarah's father is still among the living or if we'll only see him in flashbacks. Her mother has yet to be mentioned.
 

Sara's father ALWAYS intended for Omar to take the rap.

There were security cameras; apparently when Omar was arrested they accused him of disabling them.

Omar's pass would've linked directly to him, so besides granting them after hours access, it told the system that "Omar Guerrero" came in the casino after hours.

He could've told the judge the pass was stolen but how do you explain the fingerprints on the gun? He could say the only time he handled a gun was when Lucio was playing around with the gun but Lucio, Sara & Abel would've lied and said Omar was lying, plus only Omar's prints were on the gun.

Sara could've planned the robbery not to implicate Omar but that was her plan all along. Lucio & Abel were useful idiots.
 

Anon207, if they didn't want to implicate Omar they wouldn't have left the gun. They would have taken it with them. Omar then could have used the stolen pass defense. I'm not saying he wouldn't have gotten off but the police may have taken a moment to look at other suspects.

None of it really holds up. Omar was the Architect's assistant not with the security company or the electrical contractor. As someone who has been involved in building a building, Omar wouldn't have had the knowledge to know how to disarm the cameras. And, there still would have been areas that were off limits to him. This was just a reno job of some areas, not rebuilding the casino.

Anyhoodle, at any point Sara, and Lucio, could have changed/tweaked the plans. I didn't see her daddy holding a gun to her head and daddy obviously was content with Lucio and Abel being in on it and taking a share of the prize. Still believe they made this unnecessarily deadly when they could have gotten what they wanted and still given Omar a chance not to go to jail. All selfishness on their parts.

I'm amazed by how much goes on in each episode. They are doing a great job with this show. I hope this keeps up.

It was nice getting some back info on Abel and what his part was in the casino heist. Now we know what his motives were, and that he never wanted to pin the blame on Omar. He also never expected to have to kill the guard.

Will Melina ever stop smelling Omar's old things?

I got very uncomfortable with how angry and in her face Abel got when Ambar was so excited about seeing Yago. I can picture him totally losing it when he realizes he never stood a chance with Ambar. I'm surprised Lucio and Sara haven't strongly warned him to back off Ambar before. You could tell Ambar was having a few red flag moments with him, like when she realized the breakfast was from him. But she's pushing them out of her mind. Mistake! He's her stalker.

Yago knows Ambar is too young to have been involved, and he senses she is a good person. He's going to have to examine his conscience before he decides to use her as a tool to get back at Sara. He is obviously attracted to Ambar and genuinely likes her.


 

I hope they aren't bringing Ambar into the picture and putting her in Yomars orbit to have him deeply care for her and then he will understand why Sara did what she did. And with them showing she might still be sick if she doesn't make it in the end they could have Yomar end up forgiving Sara because her excuse was doing it for her love for her sister and he will understand if he ends up loving Ambar but if she won't be around he might end up with Sara, which would not be cool if after everything she still gets her happy ending with him still loving her!

Just a bad feeling. At first I was excited when they had the cute moments between Yago and Ambar and thought it would be great if the sister ended up with everything Sara could of had but with them showing the possibility that she might still be sick, it will suck if they just brought her into the story as a way for Yomar to understand and forgive Sara in the end!
 

The last thing I want to watch is Yago performing emotional calisthenics so he and Sara can be together. If he wants to let her live or pulls his knock out punch, ok, but to attempt a relationship just angers me typing. However you slice or dice it she was proactive in causing his imprisonment and torture.

It is obvious that Abel is hot for Ambar. She needs to tell him flat out that she's not interested. He may already be too far gone, but she seems like a nice person and it's cruel to let him make a fool of himself (which comes naturally enough to him as it is).

Abel is definitely a hot head. I think his anvil will come sooner rather than later as it doesn't seem to take much to get under his skin.

All of Sara's talk with Ambar about not mixing business makes me wonder if she is talking about more than herself and Lucio doing a deal with Yago. Just seemed like she burdened the point. Or maybe Sara is just jealous. I didn't get the worrying mother feel from it.

I'm sure Yago will at least use Ambar to get background info on Sara.

So Teo has an informant at the police dept to know that Bruno and gf were looking into the case. I'm wondering now if Yago is pursuing that angle himself. Work on revenge while finding info to use to uncover truth.

Thanks for the recap Countx! I like Ambar and hope she isn't killed off (from her heart condition or otherwise). I wouldn't mind seeing a happy ending with her and Yago together (despite the 15 year age difference - Ivan is 41 and Ximena Romo is 26), but I will be very upset if Yago forgives Sara in the end. I actually like Sara somehow despite what she did, but I do not want her to have a happy ending with Yago. Hopefully this TN won't go the usual "romantic/happy ending for the leads" route.

"... Yago wonders if Mr.Bigot (Abel) won’t be jealous."

I think that Yago was jokingly referring to a plush toy named Mr. Bigote that fell out of her luggage during their first encounter.

"She has decided to share her heart with “him”."

In this little conversation I thought that Sara told Ambar that she was worried about her heart and Ambar replied "...besides, like you said, it's my heart and I decide what to do with it."

I think they were referring to both her heart in the physiological sense and her ♡ in the emotional sense. I don't think that she has decided one way or the other about Yago but wants to keep her options open. This does make one wonder what if anything was ever done about her Brugado Syndrome.

Ambar is pretty bold. Asking Yago point blank in front of all about his amor status, and earlier teasing Abel to go faster on the motorbike cause he was driving like a granny. My take is she had to stay inside the home while other kids played outside cause she was too sickly, and now she wants it all. I liked her "look who's talking" back at Sara when big sis said don't mix the business with the personal. Sara has some nerve when she's married to her business partner. I do believe Sara is jealous of Ambar with Yago.

Where is poppa? Did he willing agree with Sara to take on Lucio and Abel to split the heist 3-4 ways? I can't see poppa quietly bowing out when Lucio and Sara hit it big becoming casino owners.
 

Carlos- Yep, Mr. Bigotes is Ambar's teddy bear who Yago met when her suitcase fell apart.

At this point I don't think Ambar realizes Abel is crushing on her. I think she sees him as her odd, crazy uncle. But she's starting to get that vibe.

Carlos - Thank you for mentioning my mistake about the Mr Bigote toy. When I was watching that scene I couldnt understand what Ivan was saying so from context I thought that he was referring to Abel. Well Yago didn't know that Abel was on the island so that was my bad.

Niecie - I don't believe that daddy dearest went fine with the agreement . Maybe he got some money out of it but wasted it on gambling.

I too want Yago and Ambar to be together in the end but if Yago uses her for revenge than he is a goner for me too. If something happens to his brother &girlfriend than I want him to go full Hannibal Lector on them!
