Tres Veces Ana #19: The Facade de Bondad Starts Cracking

Three Facades de la Bondad

Ana Laura's answer to Ana Leticia's declaration that Uncle Mariano is hers and can never be Jennifer's is met with a plea for Lemmee to get professional help.  (Yeah, like when has she ever listened to anybody but herself, ever?)

Meanwhile, Ramiro's credit and cards are blocked and locked.  (Does it make sense staying in a high class hotel then, when he knows ol' Papi-cock has cut him off?  Dude deserves what he gets.  He ain't smart enough to live long, but we know he will.)  He goes to The Realty Place to at least give Uncle Mo the 411 on Ana Lucia.  Unfortunately for him, Lemmee sees and latches onto him first; she taunts him and then when Mo enters the area, slaps the shit outta Rami and calls him fresh.  Info is all a no go, and Mo gives him the heave ho.......Damn! Is Ramiro slow!

Later that  evening, A Llora has nice thoughts about Ram and Valentin's declaration of luhvvvv.  (Viewerville thinks there's a method to this madness of a wheelchair bound man who's been dispossessed, who continues to act like he's blessed when he can't even get himself undressed, let alone changed, if he's messed.  In other words, do we buy what the dude's sellin' A Llora?  Hell, no!  Does marrying for money strike los invalidos?)

SanMarco has nightmares about the old times in the apartment with a gal with A Lucky Lucy's looks but a much meaner mien.  She's again screaming at him that she does not want him looking for "HER" whoever that might be.

The next morning at work at The Realty Place, Iñaki lets loose with the news about moving into Lemmee and her hubby's old apartment.  Oh?  And why didn't she ever tell him she was married? (Like he's got the need to know or what?  Get whacked, weirdo!)

Mo's gettin' married and his sexratery is sadder than sad to learn she's setting up his wedding for him and in charge of sending the invitations.  We sense there is a past in this present somehow.

A Lemmee at em sneers at Yaki's yukky er....roots....shall we say. " Yep.  You can take the boy outta the barrio but you can't take the barrio outta the boy.  Steer clear and don't you never get near!  And, oh, good luck keeping up those exPENSive appearances with those new digs of yours."

Yaki heads to Mo's office to get the lease signed officially.  He mentions to Mo that he now realizes his niece and her hubby used to have the place.  Once Yaki's gone, Mo has flashbacks to when he was griping at Marcelo about Valentin's extorting him, holding a gun to his head over reparations for something.  Cash in the bank or else!  He told Marc to get rid of the problem the best way he knew how.  It isn't Mo's fault the girl took him to the cleaners!  He just wants him gone!  He gave enough already.  No more!  He's become a major migraine.  "--What do you want me to do?"  (Yeah, some criminal mind, here, huh?) "--Do whatever it takes, whatever is necessary in these things."

A Llora and Valentine (not!) are at the coffee shop again and he is pushing her to introduce him to the family and formally announce their relationship.  Not gonna happen, yet cuz she's not that certain it wasn't all just for spite to spit in Ram's face and all. (By either of them, right?)  Val's pissed.  It looks more and more like the poor dude is really pushing her for the pesos and a way to get mo' of Mo's money.....

We see the kids head off to the airdancing acrobatics studio--sneaking off.  Hmmm??  What have I missed here?  Mama's threat was that great?  I thought she admitted to A Lucky Lucy that she's old enough to make her own decisions and yes, she did go accompanied this time.  Anywho, it seems that Yaki's daddy and bro are involved in the school as teacher and performer, respectively as well as respectably.  Is there a past to Yaki's papi's present as well?

SanMarco and the class--all but Maribel--admire Ana Lucky Lucy's talents and grace.  Bel is definitely not at this ball.

After the classes, SanMarco tried telling A Lucky about his odd dreams/memories that are now resurfacing but he's off to work since her Mama is pissed that she's only now just gotten home and not asked permission to head off around the neighborhood even when Bel accompanies her.  (Shees!  Why not just mention she's been hired by the dance company and is now making them some moolah?  And, why not mention she was accompanied by another member of the company whose papi is also a boarder?  What's to be afraid of?)

Over across town--in Uptown, Lemmee is throwing a fit at Abue for giving Jennifer a pair of earrings SHE wants and feels should belong to blood relatives only.  She refuses anything else in the jewelry box and Ernestina fights thinking the girl is totally whacked for acting that way at her age.  Tantrums are supposed to end long before puberty, so it's not as if she hasn't had plenty of warning by now the woman needs a shrink-wrapped jacket and a room in the nearest manicomio.

Yaki and SanMarco are back in the new digs.  Yaki informs his bud that his bitchy but bitchin' babe of a partner at work used to live there with her hubby.  He gets flashbacks again.  SanMarco claims Yakin's fallen in love with her.  Yaki says he'd rather be left with a pack of wolves than her.  SanMarco suggests Yaki take a picture of him with his phone and show it to her to see if she might know him.  (Shall we take bets on whether that phone accidentally gets dumped in the sewer or  trampled by a herd of elephants on the way to the circo?)

Another boarder--Psssst Lady--gets A Lucky's attention and scolds her for lying to her mama behind her back.  Oh, it turns out the woman is the background operatic singer for the acrobatic dance company.
A Llora tells Leonor there's nothing special going on between her and Val.  He keeps her from thinking about Ram's treachery is all.

Ram, meanwhile, pops in on Papi.  He wants the cash spiget turned back on.  They grouse a bit and Papi apologizes, but Ram wants no part of Papi's plans to woo A Lemme now and make Ern see him with familial eyes again. "--Sorry, but I haven't done anything wrong! My only love is A Llora y punto!"   Papi again tells him he'll be unwise and unhappy hitching his star to a cripple.  "--NOthin' doin'!  NOW give me my credit cards back!"

Rich Rodrigo gets a surprise visit from Ernestina's BFF, the cardiologist's wife.

At dinner that night, Abue Ern mentions the temper tantrum/fight with A Lemmee over the earrings and Jenn.  She feels guilty for fighting with her other granddaughter again.

Upstairs, at the same time, Lemmee is in the continuation of said temper tantrum over Tío Mo and, now, Yaki's gaining over her with him also.  She stops at Marc's photo and tells his photo: "At least you're dead and I don't have to share you with anybody else.  If I ever saw you with another woman I'd go crazy!" As if!

My apologies to all and a great big TQ to ViviDC for the assist to dashboard again. What a lifesaver.....

Anywhooooo, it's now up for those of you still interested in stopping back by.

hi, Jardinera, hey, we are finally watching the same novela! I enjoyed your snappy recap. thank you, Amiga.

Watching itty bitty ANgelique have that hissyfit about the earrings gave me a giggle. Those teeny tiny teeth and that rise red light...classic Spoiled baby . My five year old was much sweeter when she asked my auntie if she could have a certain gold ring " WHen you are no more, AUnt Eleanor."

....autocorrect is not my friend...that was supposed to be "rose red lips" ..."rise red light" ?????!

Gracias, Jardinera.

Brilliant: Viewerville thinks there's a method to this madness of a wheelchair bound man who's been dispossessed, who continues to act like he's blessed when he can't even get himself undressed, let alone changed, if he's messed.

Somebody needs to tell Nerina that nobody likes a metiche so she needs to mind her own business. Ana Lucia is not a child and she's way past the point where her mother is entitled to know her every move.

Now, if there is an upcoming performance and it goes well, that means Ana Lucia's picture in the media and all that this implies including -- but certainly not limited to -- Ana Leticia putting out a hit on her. Here's hoping that Ramiro and Santiago/Marcelo can nip that in the bud. It could also mean Isidro showing up. Yuck.

Gracias, guys.

Still having problems with the computer. On my tabletita here. SusNly n it isn't my friend either.t

URB : I anticipate Orlando the Possessive Obsessive arriving soon. Maybe he can be roomies with Yaki's brother I shed of the unlikely Bel that ain't.

Yay!
I am back on but system's running slow. That was supposed to read "instead of" Bel. She is anything but and she's as envious as all get out. Who in their right minds would allow herself to be a roommate to a guy????? A disgusting, snorting snoring gasbag who shouldn't have had to see her nekkid to begin with. Stooooopid plotline. Team Z wrote those scenarios and scenes. The rest has been rather well done all together. Teresa quality.

Isn't it interesting that in her three novelas with Sebasian Rulli Boyer's hair went from black to blonde to red? Don't know whether that means anything but it is noticeable.

Jardinera, thank you for your very entertaining recap. Technology can be a pain.

My fave line "shrink-wrapped jacket and a room at the nearest manicomio." ¡Perfecto!

Ana Leticia is blooming with each episode as quite the twisty sicko villain. Angelique Boyer's Ana Leticia scene with "the earrings" was a real keeper and a creeper. Anyone who knows Ana Leticia needs to sleep with one eye open. There is no telling what her distorted view of reality might force her to do in the way of "self preservation" as it has in the past.

Jardinera- I'm so glad technology finally cooperated so that you could get us this witty and snappy recap.

I really don't get how any of these people have gone so long without realizing what a nut Leticia is. And seeing how she is, how any of them could believe the lies she told about Laura (she caused the accident) or Ramiro. Poor Ramiro. He needs to cut his loses and his ties to all these people, and go back to Spain. He sounds so delusional when he says he'll find Lucia and then all will magically be fixed and it'll be Everyone Loves Ramiro again. Give it up, dude!

My word Jardinera - you made psychedelic lemonade from those techno lemons - this recap had me gasping and laughing all the way through, thanks a bunch. This thought "Damn! Is Ramiro slow!" I especially agree with, he does seem too dumb to live sometimes

The Lucky one thinks that when her mom sees how successful she is at the danzaire mom will be ok w/being out of the loop about her working there and start supporting her career but till then she's keeping it a secret from mom. I'm guessing Sole isn't going to be happy w/anything that puts Analu in the public eye no matter how good at it she is. Wonder what the blowout will look like.

TioM was involved w/Gina and Valentin?!?? What! How? When? Why?

Thanks, Jardinera, that was great! More awesome nicks - love the "Yaki", suits him very well!

Plot continues to move ever so slow at a snail's pace. I keep thinking they are setting it up for a memory come back with their very dulce, teenagers-in-love Ana Lu and Santi story line, but then I remember we are watching Televisa novela, so we are probably good 100 episodes away from that. Seriously though, have not seen a couple as boring as those two in a while.

Ana Le so far is the most entertaining character - scenes and memories seem to at least be moving for her.

Sneaky- Remember how in flashback Gina fleeced Val and left him after he became paralyzed from running a workers comp scam on his boss that went awry? Well, that boss was Mariano, and it seems that after Gina left him and took all the workers comp money, he went back to Mariano and asked for more money, but by then Mar had realized he'd been scammed and sent Marcelo after Val to warn him off.

Jardinera, thank you for the terrific recap. "We sense there is a past in this present" and "Valentine (not!)" were among my favorites.

Leticia is a master manipulator. Yet, she is truly reptilian as she has no warmth - only a sharp, stinging tongue and an uncanny ability to work almost every situation to her advantage.

Still, Val scares me more. Ana is his meek, trusting prey and I am afraid she will be swallowed alive.

Vivi, I am still struggling with all the details - I don't know how you keep everything straight. But you do, every time! Appreciate all the details you bring to the table.

I still feel Marcelo is far more interesting than Santiago. I hope that changes.

Dianana

Diana sigh...

ViviDC:
Definitely had not beerpaying close attention to Va!'s original scam. Guess it was due to being kicked out of his family?

I missed how and who ran him over. Thought it might be Evaristoor mean Marc.

Ernestina doesn't want to believe that she made any major mistakes in raising the two girls. Ana Leticia knows how to play her. Marcelo was ruled by his hormones. Ramiro is his best friend. He couldn't figure out how to break his delusions in the past. Now that he thinks Marcelo is dead he sees Ana Leticia for what she really is.

Too bad Mariano is just as delusional because that's why he's not listening to him.

Ana Lucia will probably not have this issue, but I've been wrong about that before.

Nobody writes snappy, irreverent prose like you do, Jardinera. You would have made a great, sassy private eye in some long-standing crime series.

SanMarco and the class--all but Maribel--admire Ana Lucky Lucy's talents and grace. Bel is definitely not at this ball.

Just one example, but Jarifa and UA mentioned my other two faves.

Ramiro and Ana Laura certainly are meant for every other...two very dim bulbs. As Carlos used to say, their kids would be destined for the little school bus.

I'm afraid this one is going to be very dragged out but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. And very impressed with Angelique's gymnastic skills.

And your recapping ones. Thanks.

Jarifa, Vivi, Sneaky and Judith, Ria and Diana - Glad you enjoyed it. When the snit fits, I wear it I guess.....Maybe my technological trials and tribulations should happen more often. Ah well, but not without my adult beverage!

Jarifa "a real keeper and a creeper" - exacto! I thought the same myself. Couldn't have said it better!
Diana: "she is truly reptilian" - Yeppers, can't be a real tn vibora otherwise--and that she am in spades!
Welcome Ria and Sneaky. Ria: El Hotel was pretty lame when it came to the main couple, too, IMNSHO. Sneaky: Sole is scared her sick crime will be outed and with the publicity probably sooner than later no doubt.

Judith: Tks again, amiga. When the going gets tough.....much appreciated cuz besides the torrential June storms, and the owner of the nail spa who didn't much care for me being the late one out on a Sunday evening, and technology having swallowed up much if not most of my day.....it is definitely nice to wrap oneself up in delightful novela banter again.
:? ))

Jardinera...You are not the only one having computer difficulties. Hubba was not happy that he was switched to Windows 10 automatically as were two of our friends. He also opened an email a couple months ago and got hit by ransomware...that was a mess to fix.

Susanlynn: Windows 10 was my downfall from an upgrade as well. I figured I could handle it cuz that's what I do now in my bucket list toils now that I'm out of big pharma. Anywhooo, I think I gotta get a new puter cuz this one's punked. If I do it will come with the souped up 10 already on it and a 3 yr extended warranty! As for ransomware--been there and done that prior to getting the new gig last year. If ya wanna know how to prevent it again, go ahead and email me and I will be happy to give you some legitimo links for apps. Kim Komando's site is good for that instructional and download stuff, especially.

Now that I'm back up maybe I can avoid the major expense for a while longer.....7's good enough for me a while longer. Je-je.

Urban: I noticed Rulli's darker reddish blond locks myself. He's a looker no matter what color they've tinted him up with, but I think this time the actors' hair colors were both actually coordinated especially for the video color aspects, just like the clothes and scenery background always seems to be--at least now that you mention it.

Thanks, Jardinera. Sorry for your technical issues, but you were definitely on a roll when you wrote this! (I also got the uninvited Win10 "upgrade" this weekend and it tied everything up for HOURS).

I have noticed the hair color changes on Boyer and on Rulli. I like Rulli's hair lighter, but still, it's all good as long as it isn't slicked back. (Marcelo!) Boyer can apparently get away with any hair color she wants.

Thanks, Jardinera. Terrific recap.

Hope they show more acrobatics. That was the highlight for me.

Thanks Jardinera for the great recpa!!

I'm getting tired of AnaLet's petulance. I've started to dvr thru her scenes a bit.

How old is Ramiro? Did/does he not have a job? Has his father been supporting him this whole time? I did think it was interesting how quickly Mariano turned on him and the fact that he brought up that Gina's money was taken and he blames him. Ram didn't know what to think. Ram doesn't come from the streets like Inaki. His father looks quite successful so I don't understand all of this money grubbing.

I need this to start moving along more.

I think this is an example of a father who controls by having his son work for him. That way he can get away with stopping his (possibly corporate) credit cards and controlling which clients he works on.

He wants Ramiro to pursue Ana Leticia but he has no clue that this would be hell on earth. Or doesn't care because all he's thinking about is appearances.

Urban- I'm with you on that. Ramiro works for his father, but as it's a family business and they live together, there is likely no formal paycheck coming to him and going into a separate account. It's all "family" money, but Ramiro still has a right to what he's earned.

Carvivlie- It never made sense to me why Ana Laura and Ernestina were so quick believe Ramiro was after their money, when he (his family) was obviously very well off.

Is this on tonight? Or is it futbol?

No Uni shows are on tonight. It's all futbol.

Thanks again for stopping by and the comments!

It's funny because Marcelo, being a private investigator marrying AnaLet ,didn't seem to raise any eyebrows , and I would put that lower on the scale of suitable suitors than Ram. No matter how successful Marcelo was he wasn't in the ballpark of heiress suitor. Now Marcelo and Ram were great friends. We don't know how Mariano felt about him personally. After his treatment of Ram, I'm thinking he is a pretty big snob.

Oh no - futbol is taking up our show time!

So guys, I am going out of town tomorrow morning and coming back Thu night. I am going to get the discussion page up for tomorrow's episode and will move Sneaky's recap in the main body post when I return!

Marcelo could be the black sheep of his family. He has wealthy clients because of whom he knows from university or whatever. He may have achieved a law degree but decided that being an upscale Philip Marlowe was more his style.

In the absence of more relevant information we don't know whether Mariano is a snob or not. But we do know that Ana Leticia can pull his strings and that is the most important element of their relationship. I would be advising Jenny to cut and run before Ana Leticia's venom really starts bubbling up.

Urban, Jenny's been with him for so many years that I can't understand why she hasn't run. She was complaining when AnaLet got engaged about Mariano not popping the question and it took him another 4 years. That means 4 years of watching their creepy relationship.
