Hey. Um, i didn't understand your recap.
 

Hi Dianne - Anita just did a little clever parody based on a David Bowie song about how time changes things to summarize that things have been changing! There's more detailed recaps in the previous thread.

Here's tonight's recap:

Episode #85 (June 30, 2016) Part 1

Some scenes combined for convenience. This was a good one! Hopefully, with a nod to Anita, time will change some of these people.

- Marissa wakes up and is able to speak. Carlos lets her know she's been in a coma for two years. The doctor gives Carlos a lot of credit for remaining there for Marissa. The great news is that she can return to Mexico.

- Pedro shows Fernanda his greatly expanded garden and new greenhouse for herbs. He's doing well. Fer asks if Amelia and Pedro returned to each other. Pedro says, no, but Amelia has changed a lot. She was sad that Fer was imprisoned and her change in personality is sincere.

- Marissa is back in her casa and her caftans! She's so happy. Lupe warmly greets her, as does Paco. Carlos is happy she's back home too. Louse drops in and pretends to be the happiest of all. Carlos apparently didn't tell him Marissa was coming home and wonders what he's doing there. Turns out Marissa let him know. Oh Marissa. Louse wants to throw a party.

- Pedro has called Javier because Pedrito has a fever. Jose arrives and let's Pedro know he's needed for an issue in his garden. Javier says he'll take the child to the hospital.

- Carlos visits his old boss at the hospital to fill him in on Marissa and what he learned in the past two years medicine-wise. The doctor wants him to specialize in cases similar to Marissa's. He offers Carlos a job and welcomes him back to work.

- Lupe brings Marissa tea in her comfy bed. Marissa says it's like nothing changed. Lupe's expression kind of betrays her but she just keeps it vague and reiterates she's glad Marissa's home. Marissa is happy to be back. Later, they gossip about Isabella and her hopeless love for Carlos, which Marissa admires. Marissa says that she and Carlos are family for Isy. As for Fer, Marissa believes that Fernanda abandoned Carlos when he most needed her support. So Marissa is definitely Team Isabella.

- Javier brings Pedrito to the hospital. Carlos and his friend the doctor (I need to learn this character's name) come around the corner and Carlos wonders why Javier has a kid in his arms. Just then, Fer arrives frantically and Carlos' jaw drops. Fer takes Pedrito in her arms, turns around and spots Carlos. Cue their theme song! But his jaw continues to drop and Fer just looks really sad. In the next scene, Carlos goes up to them and offers to examine Pedrito. They agree. He awkwardly asks if Pedrito is Fer's child. I cringed - this was all so awkward and sad.

- Carlos takes one look at the kid's tonsils and declares that they should come out. Fernanda panics as if he has recommended open heart surgery. Both Carlos and Javier explain that it's outpatient surgery and no big deal. Javier really impressed here - he backs up Carlos and reminds Fer that Carlos is a great doctor. She asks Javier to call Pedro and let him know. Then Fernanda and Carlos start to talk but not really, and she doesn't tell him the important piece of information that he is the child's father. My notes state "IT's SO AWKWARD."

- Fer is in the chapel praying for Pedrito during the surgery. She also sorts through some thoughts about Carlos, but she's very conflicted.
 

Episode #85 (June 30, 2016), Part 2:

- Amelia helps Pedro with the herbs, and Pedro fills her in on Pedrito's surgery. They remember when Fer was a sick baby, and Amelia comments on how good a father Pedro was. She lays it on thick, and Pedro gets flustered. She says she regrets losing him, but he comments that he lost her to Louse. It's an awkward moment, so they decide to call Javier for an update.

- Louse fills in Mariana on Marissa's return. He's pretending not to care, but she calls him on the "no big deal" attitude. She knows he isn't happy about this development. Louse is all, "hey I'm still the bank president!"

- Javier comes by Pedro's to fill Pedro and Amelia in. He mentions Carlos performed the surgery and they are PISSED. To the point Pedro calls Carlos a disgrace! They're also worried Carlos will find out everything they've kept from him. Javier doesn't know what Carlos knows. Both Javier and Rosaura point out that Pedro and Amelia can't fight destiny.

- In the hospital recovery room, Carlos tells Fer that Pedrito is a beautiful kid. She asks how Marissa is and he says she's better and will have therapy and continue to imporve. Pedrito did great and can go home in a few hours, and Fer can call Carlos if anything seems off with Pedrito.

- Fer arrives home with Pedrito and Javier. As she puts her child to bed, Javier lets everyone know that the secret of Pedrito's parentage is still a secret.

- BUT IS IT? Carlos looks at an old family photo album. And hey, his baby picture resembles Pedrito big time! HMMMMM. Carlos thinks that Pedrito could be his child, as he looks just like him. Carlos recalls his night of desert lovemaking with Fer and their pledges of love. He wonders why Fer didn't tell him about this.

- Rosaura asks Fer if she loves Carlos. She does, more than ever. She thought love would die over time, but instead it grew. Now she's overwhelmed with thoughts that are conflicting. She's also hurt that he never tried to contact her (but hoped he'd come find her anyway). She doesn't know how to tell Carlos about it all. Rosaura says that she must. As Fer protests, Rosaura reminds her that Pedrito is the most important factor and that Carlos can't know if she doesn't tell him. THANK YOU ROSAURA.

- Carlos brings Marissa tea. She comments how well he cares for her and urges him to find someone he can love. He says he loves Fer, but she is married with a child. He didn't want to tell her how much he loved her given that. Marissa asks if she told him that, and he says no, he just assumed. Marissa takes the opportunity to bring up how loyal and loving Isabella is. Carlos reminds me of the emoji girl with crossed arms as he gently but firmly tells Marissa no on Isy. Marissa persists - but it's mostly that she doesn't want to die and leave him alone. She wants him to be married, and she wants grandkids. Now that she's faced death, she knows she has to say what she wants. Also, Paco needs a mom. Carlos promises to consider all that, but it's still no way Jose on Isabella. I commend Carlos for this.
 

Episode #85 (June 30, 2016) Part 3:

- Camila is in her house in her wig and with a new boyfriend named Vlade who is a rock musician. They start making out. Don Fernando has apparently busted out of his house and come back to his old mansion. He comes in the room and basically asks who is making out in his living room? LOL. He's not happy about it. Mariana and Hernan come in and are stunned to see Don Fer.

- Blanca is besides herself with worry since she doesn't know where Don Fer went to. She blames herself, as he has not been out alone in a long time.

- Don Fer meanwhile blasts Mariana from keeping him from his house for two years. She argues with him. Just as it gets dicey, Amelia arrives and rushes to Don Fer's side.

- Back to Rosaura and Fer - Rosaura is still urging Fer to tell Carlos the truth. She reminds her that whatever Pedro and Amelia say, the decision is solely Fer's. Just then Pedro pokes his head in and Rosaura and Fer quickly change the conversation topic. Rosaura leaves and Pedro sits down for a talk with Fer. He wants to know if Fer could love Javier, as Javier loves her and is a good man. Freeze frame on Fer's conflicted face and credits.

Avances: Looks like Carlos, Fer, Javier and Pedro will all be having similar chats tomorrow. Isabella simmers.

My take: Good episode, but I'm a little annoyed with Fer. Carlos acted based upon lies he was told (and still doesn't know aren't true). Fer is the one who has withheld information and she needs to get over it and tell Carlos the truth.

I was proud of Don Fer for making his way over to his house and standing up for himself! I hope he doesn't fall back into Mariana's evil clutches.
 

Anita, thank you for your fun and clever take! I've always been a Bowie fan and "Changes" has always ranked high on my list. I hope you are having fun and doing well.

dy77, I am so happy you posted this so quickly! It was thoughtful and very well written. "Marissa is back in her casa and her caftans!" was my favorite.

You summed up Carlos' frustrating, aching heartbreak perfectly with "He awkwardly asks if Pedrito is Fer's child. I cringed - this was all so awkward and sad". It really was. Instead of the joyous, tearful, love filled reunion this should have been, it was uncomfortable, stilted and very disappointing.

I love that Carlos' gently caressed the child's cheek. I wonder what was going through his mind. Always the gentleman, he was kind even when he thought the worst. And I have to say, I have never, ever seen an actor do the jaw dropping impactada look so well as Horacio did tonight. There was no doubt he was shocked beyong imagination.

We have been aware of Pedro's obsession with keeping Fer and Carlos apart due to his irrational fear of Pedro being Luis' "son". But why is Amelia going along with it?? Color me confused.

I liked Amelia's gentle courting of Pedro. Still, Pedro looks afraid. Make that very afraid. I wonder...he seems genuinely drawn to her but will he ever be able to reconcile the rather sweet woman of today with the cold, withdrawn wife of almost 20 years who neglected him emotionally? We will need to see.

I commend Carlos for his steadfast resolve not to reconcile with Issy. I'm glad she spent two years by Marissa's "side" only to have her plans ruined in the end...

dy, I am also upset with Fer. It appears she was starting to tell Carlos when Jav (again) ruined the moment. She should have found another. This is too big a secret to keep hidden. Perhaps Jav will step up and tell the truth??

Let's hope Don Fer stays safe. I'm ready for Mariana's anvil to fall. And quickly.

Diana I'm with you and have hopes Javier will tell Carlos. He is very uncomfortable with this.

Marissa is a smooth one and quite fine with manipulating Carlos to get what she wants. When she pulled out the I'll die one day card I dumped her in the bad bucket.

I fail to see why people still think Pedro is a good man. He's been a good nanny to kids but heaven help you if you disagree with the man.

Ok, I get Fernanda is embarrassed and somewhat butthurt Carlos didn't move heaven and earth to find her but Carlos has the right to know the child is his. He didn't abandon Fernanda and she knows it.

Having said that, if Carlos loved Fernanda as much as he weeps buckets he should have moved heaven and earth to find her. Not once in two years did he make a day trip to Mexico and ask around. I've done that Houston to Mexico and back flight dozens of times in a day.

Camila looks stupid.

 

First of all, thanks to tofie, nina and Kendra for your nice words about my recap from yesterday.

dy, my efforts pale against your work. This was just great.

Using the typical tn ploy of unshared information mixed with some intentional misdirected efforts at control, made this, for me, and especially sad episode. That is, Pedro and Marissa, two of the supposed good guys, are committing unspeakable acts of persuasion in the wrong direction, and they won't listen to anybody!

I was kinda dumbstruck by Jav's stand-up response to this. I consider the guy to be an opportunist, but he was completely honest last night, and didn't exploit any situation; in fact he advised Pedro to not stand in the way. Way to go Jav.

I thought Pedro looked absolutely sinister when he broke in on Rosaura and Fer's conversation.

Luis knows that when she is able, Marissa will resume the presidency of the bank, and then his goose will be cooked. So how will our "esteemed lawyer" wheedle his way out of this sticky wicket?

Diana, I also loved that Carlos seemed to form an instant bond with Fer's baby.

Tofie, like you and Diana I hope Jav will be the one to inform Carlos about the paternity situation, but I don't have any hopes of that happening any time soon.

Thank you for reminding us/me. Yes, you hit the nail on the head! He certainly did and I thought it was obvious that he had been lurking and listening behind the closed door.

His jealousy and hatred for Luis has made him completely irrational where Fer and Carlos are concerned. We know he loves his daughter but sadly, his resentment has caused her much pain and suffering. To continue to keep them apart now is unexcusable.

Thanks, all. Oh my goodness, Tofie, you got it with this statement about Pedro: "He's been a good nanny to kids but heaven help you if you disagree with the man." I don't think Pedro is completely evil a la Mariana or Luis but he's got a long way to go with me, and when he does a good thing, it doesn't take long for him to do a not-good thing next.

Javier on the other hand, is an opportunist, like you said David, but you're right, he did and said the right things last night. The truth is going to come out at some point, as it's a telenovela and that's the rules. It will be interesting to see how it does. Carlos already is on track with his suspicions.

 

Friday 7/1/16 Part I

Pedro who can’t stop being a helicopter dad finds another landing pad in which to meddle…Fernanda and Javier. He encourages her to get married to a man she doesn’t love, the same way her mother did with him. Fer reminds him of just this in a much kinder way saying it’s not fair to Javier either or her. Too bad Pedro doesn’t listen, he continues his passive aggressive push. There are a lot of jerks out there that will only deceive you. Fer once again puts him in his place, very kindly. She knows what he’s talking about and it’s not up for discussion. In other words, STFU Pedro! She leaves Pedro to care for Pedrito, and in his own thoughts pushy Pedro concludes that his daughter is still in love with Carlos. Alone to get some breathing room from Pedro, we see Fer remembering her sweet Carlos and the love they shared in what must seem ages ago.

Don Fer holds court in HIS house, demanding that he be cared for by Blanca. MeanieAna hems and haws…well but I’m busy…the construction company. Baldy chimes in “We really want you here with us, but well….” Amelia shuts them both down. The construction company is running fine and you don’t have that much to do Meanie. Cami who evidently has had a nickle put into that empty slot reminds Don Fer that he Blanca hasn’t lived there in a long time. Too bad kids, I’m coming back to my casa and I want Blanca. Well we don’t know where she is. Oh but Amelia does and she’ll get her here stat!

 

Friday 7/1/16 Part II

Carlos is a sweet sound on Fer’s lips as she continues to remember him while holding their baby. Carlos comes upon her home and sees the silhouette of his sweet innocent girl, holding their child. A child he knows is theirs. She has made her decision though and he wonders why. Suddenly he hears the beautiful strings of her violin and he recalls how she used to play for him and only him. Suddenly Pedro comes upon Carlos and demands to know why he outside their property, lurking about. Fer unaware of the turmoil just outside, rocks Pedrito, promising to be by his side as he sleeps. She is sure that if Carlos knew of his son’s existence he would be as happy as she is and would be by his baby’s side. Outside, Carlos says his peace. He never lied to Pedro or Fer. He’s a good man and even though he knows Fernanda is married to Javier and with her son, he will not disrespect them. He simply had to come because of the feelings that were aroused when he saw her at the hospital. Pedro tells him to beat it. Carlos says he never walked away from Fernanda and Pedro knows that Carlos was with his mother, who was in coma because of her disease. A woman who was once a close friend to Pedro. And where is that friendship now? Carlos shames Pedro, reminding him that not once did he bother to ask or check in on her. . Oh snap, Pedro don’t you feel like shiz now? Carlos is sorry that Pedro is so angry and that his love story failed. Pedro doesn’t appreciate Carlos tone or words and warns him off. Carlos is tired of playing nice, it got him nowhere with Pedro. Carlos insists he’s a good man who loves Fernanda and she deserved to have the love of a good man. Well you aren’t it, Pedro insists. You went to the US with your girlfriend and made a fool of the person I love most. Well I love her and she loves me and those who stood in the way of us will have to live with it. Goodnight Pedro!

Later Lupe tries to comfort Carlos. What did he feel when he saw Fer? Everything..and it was suffocating me. I have to watch her with Javier and their baby, a baby that should be mine. Lupe hates to see Carlos suffer he has to move on, perhaps with another. Issy? Well that’s up to you.


 

Friday 7/1/16 Part III

Javier drops by Pedro’s to get the update that Pedrito is fine. He enquires about Fer who it seems has taken the baby to the hospital for a followup. Ruh-roh..this seems to not sit right with Javier.

Carlos is making plans to take Marissa to her physical therapy when in walks Louse. Carlos demands he return the keys to the house and there’s a bit of push back when in comes Marissa. She called Louse, they have things to discuss. Louse plays the loving husband, he’ll take her to therapy. Carlos says he’ll see them later. The scene obviously makes them ill.
After examining Pedrito, Carlos asks how Fer is? How is your marriage? Are you happy? Well as happy as you are in yours. Well I’m not married. He reminds her coming around the desk to stand near her. The only woman I wanted to marry was you Fernanda, but its good that I didn’t. It would have been a mistake. Fer is taken aback and wonders why he’s speaking to her this way, all she wanted was for him to check on her son. Yes and he did, but it’s best that they not see each other. He can’t be her friend Mrs. Farias; and he’ll recommend another Pediatrician. Adios Fer!

Louse lays it on thick with a cup of tea, for his mi amor Marissa. She longs for the day when she will lose the walking stick and of course he wants nothing more for her, but don’t get your hopes up about the therapy. Marissa is determined and sure it will work and she wants positive attitudes. Louse intends to hire the best assistant and care giver for her. Not to worry she says, she has one already…Lupe! Louse is not happy.

Lupe meanwhile lunches with Ordonez and the two discuss how in the dark Marissa still is about Louse. Lupe is still furious about how she was fired promptly two years ago. Well Ordonez didn’t want to burden Marissa with all that news when she is still recovering and ill. Oh don’t worry, I told her about how we were fired, Lupe says. Ordonez isn’t happy.


 

Friday 7/1/16/ Part IV

But..but…you don’t know how hard they were to put up with mi Amor. Louse whines to Marissa who is clearly confronting Louse about what Loose Lips Lupe has told her. They were all against me…they never supported me. Okay, well riddle me this Joker, why were you running my Bank instead of my son?
Fer has found an empty storage facility and she shows it to Pedro. This can be the flower shop. Pedro begins babbling making plans when he notices something is on Fer’s mind. He knows it’s that man. Oh that man who has a first and last name? Yes the first name Stranger and last name Betrayal. ( STFU Pedro) Fer reminds him that man is her son’s father. Pedro who seems so creepy and possessive of Fer reminds her that he is Pedrito’s father and grandfather and he wants it to stay that way. Did she ever need another man to be her father. Fer says of course not and they have never discussed it, he is her true and only father. Pedro insists the three of them only need each other. Pedro…let go dude. Let.Go.

Marissa had plans for Carlos to take control of the bank. Well you signed everything over to me Louse reminds her. Really? I don’t remember such a thing. Louse gets defensive, it was right before your surgery. Louse begins whining about how badly Carlos treated him, preventing Louse from being by her side and even kicking him out of their house!

Javier shows up at Carlos office looking for Fer, well shes not here,she and your son left. Carlos takes a cheap shot implying that Javier needs advice on keeping tabs of his wife. Javier isn’t up for it and starts to leave when Carlos realizes his childish ways. He steps up to congratulate Javier on getting the best woman and their beautiful child. Cherish them both, they are beautiful treasures.

Marissa tells Louse they have some things to clear up, but Issy and her split ends arrive to take Marissa to the hospital. Marissa says they’ll meet later, she’s taken care of Lupe’s issue and next to be corrected is Ordonez. We’re going to right some wrongs!

Blanca is back at the Alta Manor! Don Fer mistakenly lets it slip that when he escaped the nursing home he stayed with Blanca and she fed him. Meanie loses it and yanks Blanca up accusing her of kidnapping Don Fer from the nursing home.

 

Friday 7/1/16 Part V

Louse panics to ISmell that Marissa is reinstating Ordonez and if that happens he will be out as head of the bank. Well she signed over power of attorney, ISmell says, so don’t sweat it. Well my wife is getting better and she’s going to revoke it and that damned Carlos and Ordonez will advise her. ISMell says then we’re hosed! Goodbye bank and the shady business we’re running. Louse has to find a way to show that his wife is incapable mentally and physically of running things.
Amelia jumps in, defending Blanca. Meanie growls about her will and documents. Blah blah blah…Amelia says we have doctors reports and we’ll take it to trial. Oh shut it. Don Fer says standing up. I’m here to speak for my self..and I’m staying and so is Blanca. Right on sir! I’ll do anything for you, but look if I have a choice to sleep under the same roof as Meanie,Hernan and Camilla Deville or face down in a snake pit, I’ll choose the second.

Carlos finds Issy in his office. They discuss how determined Marissa is to regain her muscle strength. The topic turns to Fer and her baby. Carlos shuts it down, he’s not talking about Fer and especially not with her.
Fer and her father rustle around silently in the kitchen, she embraces him, hating that they are at odds. He knows but he can’t stand for anyone to hurt her. They change the subject to the flower shop, and come up with names when Amelia pops in to see the baby. She beams at the sight of Fer and Pedro making plans for their flower shop. It’s going to be a magical place! Why not call it that she suggests? It’s going to be call Siempre…something or other. If anyone caught this let me know.

Meanie is at Louse’s office now, can you believe that servant mocked me? Louse could care less he has bigger problems. He’s going to lose the bank. Just then Carlos comes in, Meanie asks how his mother is. Oh didn’t Louse tell you? Uh no. Well it doesn’t matter because he’s there to handle his mother’s business. Louse just crapped his pants.

 

Friday 7/1/16 Part VI

Cami Deville darkens Fer’s door step and Fer tells her she has some nerve. Well yeah but time has passed and we need to talk. Now? When I begged and asked you to tell me why you put me in that place? Well you didn’t even serve your full ten years, Cam replies. At this moment I wonder why Fer doesn’t backhand this trifling trick so hard that her hair colors don’t switch sides. But ever the gracious girl, Fer simply tells her that it was the worst two years of her life and all thanks to Cami.

Louse tells Carlos he can’t just come in claiming to be in charge. Well Mom’s well now so I’m here now. Memo Carlos, I’m the Prez now and here's law 101, there are bylaws and the power of attorney. Pfft..easily voided Carlos replies. I’ve given two years Louse barks back obviously losing patience with Carlos. I've expanded this bank and you know nothing about business. Carlos smells the fear and panic, Hmm you sure are worried about me finding out what you did with this bank. Louse recovers, you can’t handle this with syrup and pills and anyway I heard you were going back to work at the hospital so mosey along now.

Cami turns on the tears now, but it’s too late for Fer. What Cami did has no forgiveness. Fer had the people who loved her and that she needed most around her. They are the people who pulled her through that dark time making sure she never gave up.

Don’t worry about what I’m going to do with MY bank Louse, Carlos says. Oh your bank? Well I’ve got quit a few shares Louse gloats. Enough that I’m the LEGAL owner. Let’s see how you get around that. I will find a way be it by litigating or force, but I will get my bank back.

Javier checks in on Fer and baby, he tells her about his run in with Carlos. He hates lying to Carlos. It’s time that Carlos learn the truth. Either she tells him or he will. Fer decides she wants to argue away from the baby and they take it outside. No, what’s wrong with you? You don’t tell me how to handle my kid. Well Carlos has a right to know and so does your son. Fer reminds him that Pedro raised her and he’s not her bio dad but he’s all she ever needed. It’s none of Javier’s business anyway. What truth do I need to know? Carlos asks suddenly behind them.

Louse continues his whine tour with Marissa back at the house. Can you believe that Carlos came to humiliate and threaten me at the bank in front of all the employees? Marissa is not happy they’re fighting again. Well he’s threatening me with the best attorneys. Carlos is a doctor he knows nothing about business, but I do my love. Well don’t worry, I’m obviously not going to die, so I’ll revoke that power of attorney.

The truth is you having nothing to do here Carlos. Well I heard Javier. Yes you did but you don’t come to my house and demand any truths. Wow you’ve changed. Yes, and I don’t want to see you so leave. “Papa” Pedrito obviously aware that his father is around comes out and toddles straight into Carlos arms. There Fer, Pedrito just told his dad the truth.

Much as I fault Amelia and her treatment of Fernanda I fully understand now why Amelia never warmed to Pedro in 20 years. The guy is a passive/aggressive possessive creep and imagine from dawn to dusk Amelia had to fend off a barrage of whimpering and raging. Now that she's escaped the target is Fernanda. I hope Amelia takes Fernanda and her grandson into grandpa's home and forbids the gardener entry.

I could not understand any of Carlos and Pedro's conversation (so frustrating). thank you for translating this important dialog so carefully. This is so important it bears repeating: "Carlos says he never walked away from Fernanda and Pedro knows that Carlos was with his mother, who was in coma because of her disease. A woman who was once a close friend to Pedro. And where is that friendship now? Carlos shames Pedro, reminding him that not once did he bother to ask or check in on her".

Some of us thought Marissa and Pedro would be together. The seed of their friendship was planted and was being gently nourished by their budding friendship. And then, everything came to an abrupt halt. Not only is Pedro guilty of stifling and controlling Fernanda, he abandoned Marissa when she needed him most. Pedro may indeed be the most controlling character here. His continuing to deny Pedro access to Fernanda and his son is unfathomable. And I have to say it, unforgiveable.

Who was there for Marissa ? Carlos. For two years as she suffered. Yet, inexplicably, Marissa still has not thrown Luis out or better yet, had him jailed for fraud.

I give Carlos huge credit for keeping his cool with Pedro. He has never treated him with the utmost respect, even when it was not deserved.

I still do not understand Jav - he is too steely eyed for me to believe he is totally altruistic but am glad he gave Fernanda an ultimatum.

Fernanda, you've always shown solid common sense. Please don't let it fail you now.

tofie, perhaps it's just me but I didn't feel any truly contrite vibes from Cam. It was a demanding forgive me and not heartfelt. I agree with you and Delilah that here, Fernanda also showed remarkable restraint.

If anyone can bring Pedro out of his mean spirited and rather cruel reverie, I feel it must be Amelia.

I am still anxious as to what transpires each day.

And got the nerve to say " you only served two years" like that is suppose to justify her excuse for being a lying liar.

Thank you for the kind comments all. I am really fed up with Pedro and like you Nina I never thought I wouldn't like him, but I have to say that to me he is the worst character. I find he is like nails on a chalkboard which is sad, because I think at his core he's not a bad person. All his pushing, whining and neediness where Fer is concerned are really quite a turn off. Tofie, I think if this was what Amelia was subjected to 24/7 no wonder he wasn't her cup of tea. Pedro needs to get a life and LET Fer live hers. Sadly the only freedom she ever had from him was when she was in Prison. I fault Pedro for much of what has happened to Fer. He has lied to Luis, lied to Carlos and wants her to continue lying so he can keep her and Pedrito to himself. There's a sickness in all of this.

I loved Don Fer standing up to everyone in this ep. I hope he keeps the spunk and that he is soon joined by Fer and Pedrito...yes far away from Pedro.

Delilah, thank you for your awesome recap of what was quite the jam-packed episode! I am loving Carlos' new attitude. Pedro was indeed awful but for me, Fer is the worst at the moment. So glad Pedrito will claim his real dad since the mom won't.
 

I love that carlos stood up for himself against that kingsized jackass that will soon be his father inlaw. Carlos told him hes been nothing but honest, while pedro has been nothing but a big fat lying flower plantin weed pullin jerk. And there
Is nothing he can do about the fact he and fernanda love each other. So he needs to just get over it. I love that he walked away, and left him with something to think about. HA!!!

Delilah, such a detailed, insightful and funny retelling, but you didn't miss the sinister overtones either!

So many low points in this episode: Toxic Mariana; deceitful Luis; amoral Hernan; clueless Camila; ignorant Isy; etc, etc etc.

I suppose the bond between Pedro and Fer will survive in the end, but I see some rocks in the road when Fer finds out that Carlos DID try to contact her during his two year absence and that Pedro blocked him out. I have known people like Pedro, and I call them 'reverse snobs.' These are people who rightfully have pride in themselves, but are so insecure that anything that a person with more money does must be an affront to them.

I hope that Luis' house of cards is about to collapse. From what he has said, it seems to me that a simple audit will reveal just how he has been manipulating things at the bank to enrich himself and to hell with Marissa's interests.

Regarding Monday night, from my schedule, it looks like our show will be preempted by a special entitled "Joan Sebastian: El Rey del Jaripeo."

That trifling trick slap lol! The nerve of that bitch saying, well you only did two so why you tripping? If she had dropped kicked her clueless a$$ and then called John Wick's cleaning service for a dinner reservation for one that would still be too good for her.

Hi Nina, I guess the best explanation is that Fer is feeling a little betrayed that Carlos didn't look for her over those two years (even though she told people not to tell him where she was) - so it's more a matter of her pride and also the fact that people told Carlos she went to Spain with Javier (which is why he didn't look for her) factors in.

Its a bunch of messed up mess. I hope when they have their talk tonite pedro don"t come up with " Im pedrito's popa and grandpa" crap. That sounds creepy. I hope carlos rip's into him for not tellin him about fer, and then he can rip into fer for tellin him not to tell him, and then rip into pedro again for tellin him that she went to spain with javier. Theres a whole lot of rippin comin up. And Im gonna be front and center.
