Yago Capitulo 17 2/6/2016 "Stink, Stank, Stunk"

  • A lot of scenes from previous episode were repeated

  • This episode focuses on Fidel. We learn that he had a large family of four children(I got confused on the exact number)  and a ex  wife named Raquel. On the daughters BD Camilo's men disrupt the party forcing a very young Fidel to grab a gun. He opens fire in the sky damning Camilo with his strength. Selma reads a threatening letter that was written by someone called Fabiana . Fidel is leaving with his lover Selma disregarding the safety of his own family. Selma tried to warn him but Fidel did not listen. Raquel took care of the children  while they were running away but on the way there Fidel calls Raquel to check on his kids only to learn that they were attacked.  Camilo's men catch up to them dragging Selma's daughter . We don't learn of her fate ( I'm speculating that the missing daughter was Julia.) . Later there was a funeral done by Jewish traditions. All of his male children got knocked off

  • Teo informs Yago about Lorenzo. He tells him that Abel chased Teo away all while taking his phone.  Yago  mourns that Abel changed so much clearly shocked that Abel can sleep at nights. Teo mopes that they lost their only witness of the crime but atleast Melina will not be in danger anymore.  Teo also warns Yago that their revenge will be a much more bloody journey.

  • We learn that Lorenzo was left alive for unknown reasons but clearly at Abel's slowly fading mercy. Abel makes him breakfast but tells that Abel doesn't really trust anyone , not even his right hand man. Lorenzo should do the same. By the way if Lorenzo commits another BS then he is done for !   Abel tricks Lucio into thinking that he had done the job but Mr Grinch didn't even attempt to  say thanks.   Abel rushed away to home successfully dodging Ambar's interrogation attempts.

  •  Lucio is having a rough time. They beat him up, closing his casino and a whole other assortment of problemas!  But Sara comes saying that they still hold an ace in their hands. Little does Lucio know that the ace meant Sara seducing Yago to sleep with her ( She actually dropped her scarf by accident. Katia later picked it up giving it to Yago) . While having sex Sara notices a suspicious billboard but Yago quickly covers his tracks with besos. Sara later arrives home as if she nosedived a Red Bull.   She compliments  Lucio's good looks as they head out to gamble . Matias wanted to come but Lucio said that it was a secret mission Lol.  Lucio clearly doesn't know how to gamble as Sara had to read the opponents cards just to make a quick buck. They giggle at their  undeserved victory .

  • Omar's family has certainly recovered. First Yago brought Melina some bread. Melina is glad that Lorenzo is behind bars but she feels bad for the kid yada yada. Melina doesn't want Yago to lose his innocence.  She wants to help him but Yago disagrees.  Melina started taking the group therapy again with Bruno& Jonas secretly spying on her.  Meanwhile Bruno & Alejandra agree to start a relationship.  Bruno, Melina & Jonas visit Omar's grave with Jonas asking him for forgiveness.

  • Yago get's a mission to hookup with Ambar's BFF, Julia Michel . Ambar is of course accompanying him . They all start speaking gibberish but Julia seems to be quite a charmer although surrounded by bodyguards all the darn time. Things get intense when Fidel starts aiming his sniper on Julia ( He was actually aiming throughout the whole episode, up to the ending scene everything else before was a flashback. ) . Fidel wanted Yago to distract Julia so that Fidel can get her in a lone spot to commit her assassination. Selma was hesistant on the plan due to having  a bad feeling about it but Fidel wants revenge to be ojo por ojo . (Eye for an eye.)

There are no shows tonight on Uni, other than SdA, due to futbol.

Well, Fidel and Selma have a very good reason to want to get revenge on Camilo Michel. But is killing an innocent really the best way? I don't think Fidel will do it, or he'll get stopped before. But if Yago finds out what his plan was for Julia, there's no way he'll support that.

Glad that Abel's humanity won out and he didn't kill Lorenzo. But how long does he think he can hide the kid? Lucio will NOT be pleased when he finds out. I keep thinking that any moment Abel will say something that triggers Lorenzo's memory from that night, because he did hear their voices, and Abel has a distinctive way of speaking. Didn't he even say Lucio's name at one point when their masks were off?

Sara was in her element last night! Scamming, lying and scheming definitely gives her a thrill. Notice that she went to Yago after she told Lucio they had to do what it takes to deal with their debt. I bet she thinks she can use Yago to help her out financially once they become lovers. Plus, she enjoyed the sex. Then she was positively glowing knowing she and Yago had this secret while Lucio and Ambar were clueless. There was no guilt in that glance to Yago when he picked up Ambar. And then running a scam with Lucio at that underground casino, and raking in those stacks of cash, was the cherry on top of a perfect day. This is the real Sara.

That would be episode 18 Vivi which doesn't air tonight.

Exactly, Countx. Tonight, Friday evening.

I like this show very much, but since I have a hearing problem, I am put off by the fact that whoever is in charge of such things doesn't have the pride or self respect to do decent CC's. The CC's on this show are some of the worst ever. I am surprised that the advertisers don't insist on a better quality treatment of the show they are sponsoring.

I don't know what to make of Sara. Is she just an amoral slut who will do anything to gain an advantage, or is she harking back to some vestigial memory she has of Yago's former self? Vivi, you clearly believe that she is a guiltless user, but I think that it is a combination of these two choices: Apparently she has never cheated on Lucio before. But she sure did seem to be enjoying herself when she was helping Lucio cheat at the card game.

David

David- I do think that there is just something about Yago (the fact that he's Omar) that draws Sara to him. Omar had a special place in her heart-- didn't stop her from betraying him in the worst way possible. She's magnetically drawn to Yago and really likes him-- doesn't stop her from using their attraction to her benefit. She has loved and cared for Ambar longer than anyone else in her life-- doesn't stop her from betraying Ambar with seemingly no remorse.

Perhaps since the Twitter feedback to Uni got Yago put back on Uni at a normal hour worked, perhaps those who have problems with ccs should tweet Uni and see what happens.

Oh, and I don't think Sara is a slut. Lord, if I had been sleeping with/married to Lucio the last decade, and Yago showed up in my life (and wasn't dating my sister), I'd have a hard time resisting too! More incentive to finally see that divorce lawyer...

Countx, fine job. I didn't understand all of Fidel's back story last night, but now I get that he must feel some guilt too for not looking after his family. Thanks for detailing this.

Glad Yago and Sara got it on -- no dragged out will-they-won't-they. Guess Sara got over betraying her sister. Sara was forced into her dad's scams at a young age, even getting raped because of it, without any sympathy or caring from him. While Ambar was shielded and led a unvarnished life. I can live with them betraying Ambar, especially since Yago never boinked her.

Yay, Abel finally did the right thing. But as usual, now he doesn't have the foggiest of what to do. Lorenzo can't stay hold up forever.

Fidel has been played as a Machiavelli. Surely, simply killing a young woman at long range isn't his venganza. I'm thinking he'll shoot to scare, not to kill, to toy with Camilo as only a start.

Great recap, Countx! Fidel had two families- one with his wife, and one with Selma. And Camilo killed the kids he had with both women. You're on to something that Julia might just be Fidel and Selma's daughter, since we saw the thugs take the little girl away but not kill her. Whatever the case may be, this Camilo is one bad dude to target little kids like that and kill them. Yikes! What did Fidel do to him to deserve that?

Niecie- Ambar never asked Sara to sacrifice for her and she doesn't deserve to be betrayed by the sister she sees as a mother this way.

David, I, too watch with the captions on. So frustrating when they're out of sync (sometimes right text but wrong scene) and/or garbled. I've noticed that liberties are even taken by changing what was actually said thereby ruining the integrity of the script.

I'm glad I was the only one in the house during the scene when Katia interrupts Yago and Sara because I let out quite a few cackles. Priceless!

I'll say it again, I'm happy to see Jade Fraser as Julia Michell. And that red hair is crazy.

I felt so bad for Fidel and Selma. Those scenes where they mourned and buried his three sons and witnessed their daughter, Fabiana, being kidnapped were powerful. I didn't know whether or not to think he didn't shoot Julia because of the pain he went through after losing three children and having a fourth kidnapped, as if he wanted the violence to stop.

When Abel went to see Lucio and told him he took care of Lorenzo, it was a tell that he didn't kill him. The way he said, "Abel always cleans up the messes," was a subtle hint. Well, that and showing up with bags of groceries. Who knows how not killing Lorenzo will play out for everyone involved.

It was sickening to find myself thinking that Sara was setting a plot in motion when she went to see Yago and slept with him. I got the impression that was the case when she made the comment to Lucio that they know how to come up with ways to bounce back from losses. The twisted part was that it was a guilty pleasure to see them together. What they have is intense but sadly toxic.

Betrayal and schemes aside, Sara and Yago together are hot. I enjoyed those scenes. :) There was a moment after making love when Sara is getting dressed, that Yago looks up at her with love and awe in his eyes. He was totally Omar in that moment-- his mask had dropped. I don't think Sara ever dropped her mask.

Vivi - ITA Ambar doesn't deserve to be betrayed by Sara in this way, but I understand if Sara has some unconscious resentment of the "good life" her little sister had. Now that Ambar is grown, stable, and fairly healthy, Sara should be leveling with her on what her life was like with Damian. Their sister or mother-daughter relationship is very one-sided if Ambar is sharing all her feelings and happenings with Sara, but Sara is not doing the same with her.

Thank you Countx! I certainly managed to stay awake through all of this last night. A very eventful episode.

During the game, I can't believe no one caught Sara peeping at the opponent's cards and signaling to Lucio. Give me a break. She wouldn't have been allowed anywhere near the opponent; in fact I'm not sure she would have been allowed near the table.

I sure hope Yago knows what he's doing with Sara. (From the look on her face, he definitely knew what he was doing, LOL.) I can't deny the chemistry between these two even if I worry that it will distract Yago. (For that matter, it could distract Sara and come back to bite her, instead, which I assume is what Yago is hoping.)

I could be wrong, but I thought all of Fidel's kids were accounted for at the funerals. No? (It's hard to keep track.) If he still has one daughter missing, though, I would think that he'd have taken some precautions to rule out the possibility that Julia is her.

Niecie, it looked to me like Fidel was going to shoot to kill. He was aiming at Julia's chest. Thought it certainly would have been cool if he'd shot the bottle out of her hand.

Interesting that he was going to do the shooting personally instead of delegating it to an underling. Maybe Fidel was a professional sharpshooter.

Julie- Between the kids he had with Selma and his wife, I think that covers the coffins. They didn't make clear how many kids he had with each woman. He had just heard the news on the phone with his wife that their kids were dead, when Camilo's men came and attacked him and Selma and their kids. Don't know who survived and/or was kidnapped.

Thank you Countx!

Julie: The Plot thickens once again. Does Fidel know that Julia is his daughter ? It's looking more likely he'll shoot her.

Niecie: Yago playing a dangerous game with Sara in their escapade. Plus, Ambar doesn't know (see the song, "Scotty Doesn't Know").

Vivi: The producers pulled a headfake trick play on us. Lorenzo still breathing & Abel didn't kill him....for now!

Not watching but love the title!

Steve- It's only a theory that count three out that Julia is Fidel's daughter. An intriguing theory, but not fact yet. Actually, I would expect Fidel's daughter to be older than Julia. But the possibilities are interesting.

Wow. Phone typing is hard. Typos: A theory that Count threw out there...

thanks for the recap countx

Vivi I totally agree about Sara and couldn't put it better myself.

Sara is a master so let's hope Fidel's tutelage kicks in at some point because so far Yago is looking amateurish.

Thanks Count. Loved the pic and the saying. Alas, Sara can definitely "be bought". But agree with all the other commenters that the love/lust scenes with Yago were very passionate and intense. Yowza. And the actress did indeed have a glow and a sparkle afterwards when she was planning the next casino betrayal with Lucio.

Hate stories about killing rivals' children. Every mother's worst nightmare. The abysmal Tres Caras de Ana, with all its cliches, will be a relief after this one. Such small coffins. Broke my heart.

But it's just a story, just a story.

Fidel likely killing Julia doesn't make it right!

I know he wants revenge of the deaths of his kids against Camillo & all, but whacking Julia in front of people in broad daylight is over extreme.

Well, Selma didn't think it was such a great idea either. But if he does intend to kill Julia and not just muss her hair, then that shows how ruthless Fidel is and how intense his desire for revenge.

It also makes you wonder about his plans for Yago. At some point in Fidel's vendetta, Yago will probably "know too much" or let his conscience get in the way, and be seen as a liability. If Fidel has no issue with killing an innocent bystander like Julia, or the death of someone like Lorenzo, he'll have even less of an issue with whacking Yago.

I too wonder what Fidel did to make Camilo that mad for Camilo to murder his three kids while kidnapping the girl. That punishment was brutal for a reason.

I will hold my thoughts about Fidel killing Julia. No one in this is a blanca paloma. People don't say who they are. The only "good" people left so far are Jonas, Melina, Bruno & Ambar. But even if they are protagonists it's not a guarantee that they won't break moral boundaries once the truth is out. Anyone can have a bad day.

People aren't who they say they are *

Wow sounds like a good episode last night! Thanks for the excellent as always recap Countx!!

I too have problems with the cc's. For the most part they have been pretty good for this show but last night was horrible.

I watched Wednesday night's episode last night and listening to Lorenzo was heartbreaking! I'm so glad to find out he is still alive!

I'll comment on last night's episode once I get a chance to watch. Happy Friday!

Tks so much CountX

Who is Camillo? At 10PM I am nodding off.
He killed Fidel's family, but why? I still don't know how Fidel got out of prison, was it because of the fire?

Variopinta- All we know about Camilo is that he's connected to Damian (Dam is living in a building owned by Camilo and it seems Camilo is paying his expenses); he's Fidel's mortal enemy; and he's the father of Julia, who is friends with Ambar. That's all we know. We've not even seen him yet.

Fidel did not get out of prison during the fire. He got out some time later. We don't yet know the details.

Tks Vivi, guess I hadn't missed as much as I thought, it just wasn't there.

Thank you Countx. I feel better about Yago and Sara more today than I did yesterday. She is still really horrible, and I'm hoping the writers aren't going to make us try to feel sorry for her. She is a cheater and I agree with many of you, she gets off on cheating to get out of her problems.

Now if Yago wanted to get revenge on Sara and hurt her, all he has to do is somehow show and convince Ambar what Sara did to Omar. She will hate her sister forever.

Tonight, I'm expecting Fidel to kill Julia unless something crazy happens!

Steve, it's been mentioned above that there is no episode tonight due to a futbol game.

Gracias.

I don't know how I feel about Abel not offing Lorenzo. Lorenzo offing Melina would not be revenge unless he knew that Omar/Yago were alive; it would have solved nothing. He will be a wild card from now on.

I don't want to see Ambar (oh, that name) end up with Yago. Nothing about this is right, especially now that he has boinked Sara whose motive for boinking him is mercenary. I wonder whether she could recognize him by his moves, but then I don't recall that she had much time to learn them back in the day.

Fidel would gain nothing by killing Julia, especially if she turns out to be his own kidnapped daughter per current speculation.

Does anyone else think that the end of this series will contain the moral message that revenge is hollow and pointless?

Good observation UA. Most of these telenovelas preach that "revenge is hollow an pointless". Reminds me of the old Chinese proverb "He who seeks revenge digs two graves." And most of us have found out, through grievous experience, that when we seek to harm others in any way, we end up harming urselves.

Wow...lots of typos in this. Better get that second cup of coffee.

Urban and JudyB - Agree that revenge is hollow will be the message.

What Yago should be doing is seeking justice, trying to clear his name and get his backstabber friends sentenced for their crimes. My guess he'll learn this lesson before it's too late, but I do enjoying him jerking them around (though as everybody has noted, it's Sara that seems to have the upperhand between the two of them).

Fidel is deeply in the mafia. When he first entered prison, the other inmates received him as a returning emperor. So an eye for an eye is the only way to go for him.

Lorenzo is raw anger and vulnerability. He couldn't shoot Bruno or Melina and is so tickled to have a new father figure. He needs all kinds of therapy after witnessing his father's murder. I shudder to think of his rage if/when he finds out who Abel really is.

Yago giving in the tape to put his enemies in jail would be fine and dandy if the mafia wasn't around. Fidel wouldn't approve of his lackey obtaining freedom and would just take the tape since the cops seem to be bribed. It would be even worse if Camilo got his hands on tape only to give it to Demian or keep it for himself.

Yago told Fidel that Sara is right where they want her, weak and vulnerable, but Thursday night's episode proved she is still in control. Now looks like she is playing him or about to, for money , and he may just fall for it.

Agree Yago will find revenge is hollow but not before he has many regrets, I think.

I figure Yago will observe that revenge is hollow when he sees that Fidel will never be at peace. But Yago won't be able to stop the massive domino-falling chain reaction that he will already have put in motion.

I know he's enjoying his "revenge" with Sara for now but I would like to believe that he is still in control - that is, the chemistry is fun, but bitch gonna pay no matter what. I hope.

(I'm really not worried about Yago ending up with Ambar. He doesn't seem all that interested in her.

Julie: Sara, Abel & Lucio are still going to do down hard once Yago unleashes his revenge on them.

Tonight, I expect Fidel to kill Julia!

Steve: I think you are right about Fidel killing Julia tonight. Selma's "bad feeling" will have been pointless if he doesn't go through with it. So I figure that he goes through with it tonight and then soon regrets it - deeply.

When it comes to making predictions, my accuracy is pretty poor. But I feel that this has been telegraphed so effectively that I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen.

I don't believe Fidel will kill Julia. After all it was Jade Fraser's first debut episode. She will surely be stucking around for a long time. I wonder if she will become Yago's third lover !

I am also confused who Thomas's higher ups are. He said to Lucio that they aren't as patient as him with the handouts. Was he reffering to Yago& Fidel since Yago bought Thomas off. It would be funny if Yago accidently bought one of Camilo's men.

Countx - I've been wondering about that guy too, maybe he's part of Camilo's organization. (If he were part of Fidel's organization, Yago wouldn't have had to pay him off - Fidel would have just called him up and said what he wanted. Right?)

Okay, so maybe Fidel doesn't kill Julia because it's Jade Fraser. Maybe the point of Selma's warning was just to spook him out of doing it. But we've only got 62 episodes to work with, so something big needs to happen soon.

Hello Everyone,

I'm still watching Yago, but like the old country expression, "If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all," when I'm available to watch, the program isn't on and when it is on, I can't watch! I hope to join the Patio fun for a couple of days at the end of this week when I'm caught up...

The only thing I have to say is, wish Abel weren't on the screen so much; the Yago, Sara and Ambar and even Katia story is much more compelling! Of course, we'll see many others fall, but Abel will be present with all his nervous tics to the end, terrorizing everyone.

Missed most recaps and comments, but plan to enjoy and thank the recappers as soon as I'm back!!!

Thanks for keeping in touch, Sandy!

I think there's more focus on Abel just now because he was Fidel's first pawn, and we are watching him unravel ever since he saw the video of himself killing Lorenzo's father.

Think of Abel as the lame warmup act before a huge concert, or a plate of slightly soggy hors d'oeuvres before a great dinner.

Julie, Abel is "a plate of slightly soggy hors d'oeuvres before a great dinner." Yes, I see now, that's why I've been getting painful indigestion during his segments! I'll try and be more patient, a quality I'm always lacking!!!!

I know this is very late notice, but can anyone switch nights with me this week? I'm not feeling great this afternoon, and I have an early appointment tomorrow morning.

If not, I'm sure I can manage something - but if anyone can switch with me (any night) that'd be better...

Yago is not trying to hurt Ambar like Sara hurt Omar. If Ambar weren't Sara's sister I think he would try to make a go of it.

Jade Fraser is in the credits so I don't think Julia will be killed or will be Flashback Julia (like Gina is Flashback Gina on 3XAna).

I thought it was the 2 boys and the little girl but now I'm hearing it was 3 boys and a little girl. We DO know 3 children were killed.

I would think Selma would've researched Julia Michell and would know if there's a possibility Julia could be Fabiana (similar age).

Julie- I just sent you a message.

Thanks, Vivi.
I think I did myself in with those soggy hors d'oeuvres.

Yes, I'm weakening a bit myself with the vision of the soggy hors d'oeuvres. But kudos to the recapper who can spell said "hors d........" I always have to look it up and then misspell it and fall back to "appetizers."

Heh, I had to look it up too. :-)

Vivi: We all agree that Ambar is likely not going to be around when the Gran Final comes because of the chaos likely to ensue.

I'm going to be this will end just like "Ezel"'s version.

Julie: It would suck for Fidel to find out that Julia was his daughter that he killed (assuming Selma has a DNA test done).

Fidel is raving mad with revenge & likely to spin out of control!

Vivi: I'm looking forward to seeing Sara's anvil & I will NOT feel sorry for her at all!

But for now, it's still too early right now because you know how Villains in TN's get way ahead of themselves for months, etc.,
