Sueño de amor, Ep. 81 (7.7.16) Life is unfair, while some experience full blown cancer others enjoy full blown romances.
Recycling
Cristina Vélez Valderrama, the firewoman of education test the Gallos to see if they are worth the scholarship. After all, as in bad shape as the Palacios is right now, it will always be way better than Vasconcelos. Margarita encounters the kids on their way out and after greeting them inquires her friend why is she looking so gorgeous.
-Something happened since the last time we saw each other, right? Tell me, tell me... there's that spark in your eyes!
-I have found my daughter! With the help of a pretty handsome man, by the way!
-Yes? Great! And how is she? And how is that bastard of your ex husband?
-IN JAIL! -answers Ricardo from the open door claiming that their chat could be heard all the way to the patio.
Margarita melts herself (se deshace en halagos) in compliments to the Bombón and excuses herself to leave this two tórtolos (love doves) alone. The way you look at each other could make this office get on fire! Never fear my dear, the firewoman is here...
-How do you know Margarita? -asks Cristina
-Oh well, it is a very long story that I better tell you tonight with luxury of details...
-Tonight?
-Yes, I have plans for you... wink!
Esperanza tells Ernesto how worried she is and how bad that is in her condition because Pato HAD TO FINALLY ATTEND SCHOOL and to her bad luck, she will also be tested and she didn't study and she doesn't know the formulas by heart.
Ernesto only hears a buzz and sees Esperanza's lips moving, because his head has its own problems, somebody betrayed him and he needs to tie that end asap.
Luminosity
We start today's episode with the new Alegría-Vélez coupling about to go out.
In order for the grown ups to go on a friendly date (she thinks so far they're only friends), the kids have to stay home with their nanny watching cartoons. And remember three things: Don't let them get wet, don't expose them to bright lights and never feed them after midnight! Wash your hands, brush your teeth and no ice cream!
This is their first formal date, so they need to address each other respectfully, like the boss and the employee they are. She keeps flipping back and forth between ''Ud'' and ''tú'' but who cares? At this point this is like a speck of dust over the Everest!
Anyway, she is luminous! Her stupefyin' glow highlight her other stunning assets, like her happiness, her beauty, and so on... so much that Ricardo can not keep his mouth shut and he could swallow a fly. Cristina says that she will never be able to thank him enough for helping her find her daughter, but we are sure he already has that indian book to start with the payments.
God knows what kind of police work Andrés did before becoming a nanny. Do all the agents end up doing something completely different for what they trained for?
Intensity
Meanwhile, in the Private Hospital of public specialties, Esperanza is visited by Aranza, who just found out about her condition by accident and is worried sick, so much that she keeps apologizing for not being as supportive as she would like, but she just found out...
Don't worry, let's go get some coffee... Are you trying to get rid of me? I knew it, I am so intense! sorry!
Privacy
In another part of town, Ernesto asks Murillo if he can visit him because ''they need to talk'' and here, the service could hear. This is private but, why not a public place?
I know the girls shouldn't hear, but what about seeing? Ernesto puts everything he will use to terminate Murillo on the table, the gun, the silencer, the gloves, the glasses, the cellular, everything in plain view, what if one of the girls happen to come and sees it? Will she become the next victim?
Extravagance
The Alegrélez arrive to La Boheme, the 5 stars restaurant and while being served the wine of the house (vino rosado de Chile, señor?*), they have small talk about kisses and how disappointing he is doing it. Of course is a joke, because, what else could they talk about? Reports? Exams? Child care and how to make ponytails?
Well if you think I suck at kissing, teach me teacher, you that are the firewoman of education, the expert!
I am sorry, my services are way too expensive!
Add another loose story to Anastasia's. Here, Ricardo says he learnt how to kiss when he was around 13, with a girl named Clarita, while living in the ''peñón de los baños'' (México). I have noticed that he is not hiding his chilean accent anymore, and I guess that's why he told Esperanza he was mexican-chilean-american. So, why does he still has the accent and at what point of his life he lived in Chile? At 12 he was kissing in México, at 20 he left to USA and now he has the chilean accent? Excuses, excuses...
Is this going to be like that jesus Christ story where we will never know what happened to him between 12 and 33?
Frugality
And while Ricardo enjoys a very small pea on a square inch of medium-rare meat with a little piece of parsley sticking out they call ''gourmet'', In the Hospital's Cafeteria Patoluca just finished a yuuuge sandwich and are finishing their tall glasses with chocolate milk. They could't order guacamole, since the topic is Anastasia and Luquita, because that could kill them. The results will be ready in two days, so Pato promises Luca she will always love him regardless Luquita is his son or not.
Close to them, in the waiting area, Aranza tells pedro that Kristel is going to Barcelona ''to finish'' Prepa. I hope this part of Barcelona is close to Tabasco that is actually a huge field where other characters like the three stooges, some teachers, the abused women and now even Mireya the smiling therapist run free and happy, I don't know if spanish middle schools have exchange plans and/or scholarships for barely legal students who are in prepa, or lower levels of education... but as Nandicta says, Juaréver!
Confession & Death
In Aaron Murillo's house, death lurks in the premises. Despite his confession, Kracy's crazyness sealed his fate and the cat is the only witness to his murder, but he much appreciates each of his seven lives (or nine, depending) to intervene. Murillo should have had a dog...
Resignation (like in suffering but accepting your pain)
Esperanza has never stopped thinking of Ricardo. Even during the surgery when they told her to count to ten, she was thinking of all those times he tried to explain himself why the 20 year long absence. Well... if he doesn't tell Cristina tonight, I guess we will never know.
Confusion
Pedro is surprised with the Kristel news and talk to his mother about it. Looks like confusion is like herpes, and can be transmitted orally like monococo.
When he had Kristel he was not happy and now that she is leaving he is even more sad.
Let's see if he does something about it.
-Mom, If she goes, I am going to lose her forever!
-Don't worry son, when love is true, will resist all tests, like I didn't know...ask me, see yourself in my reflection...
In the Restaurant, Cristina and Ricardo make a toast for the beginning of something wonderful. Then he proceeds to tell her his story starting with the first kiss in the peñón, all the way to the failed wedding with Esperanza. I am kidding, he just told her that about the kiss because she was being obnoxious challenging to kiss her over and over pretending she was not liking it, just so he kept the kisses coming!
Obsession
Walking erratic and lonely through the streets under the rain, Kracy ask herself what became of Ricardo?
After the movie and under the watchful eye of Andy the nanny, Ricardo's kids and Cristina's girl argue about whose parent is the worst...
My mother, say Selena!
No! My father, say Abril!
Who do you fear the most?
Abril won because her fear made her pee her pants and she has the wet newspapers to prove it.
Stupidity
In the Manzanares household, Márgara and Kristel talk about her cowardice to put ground in between her and Pedro. Running away from trouble don't solve anything. Then Silvana arrives to kiss them goodnight.
Eenie meenie miney moe, I don't know who I hate more (between my mother and my daughter, that is)
In another area of the mansion, Mario tries to call Viviana but his shyness doesn't let him prepare his speech well. Silvana shows up just to tell him that she loves him so much, that she will sacrifice her love so he can be happy! Pretend hug time and faces.
After she is gone, Mario calls Viviana to tell her but being so mysterious, she thinks he will brake up with her.
Technically, Kracy killed Murillo when she blew her cover and called Ernesto to threaten him. Now he can say that was forced to kill him by the circumstances. Ay Murillo, see what you made me do?
The rain never stopped but the romantic dinner ended, so inside Ricardo's car, is time for dessert, and practice some kisses to see if the technique has improved. Too bad Kracy is watching them from behind a tree.
Ricardo apologise for boring her with stories from his past, but we all have one, replies Cristina. She only wishes she could have loved Oscar the way he described his love for Esperanza. Her relationship with Oscar was plain infatuation.
Green with anger, Kracy returns to Anastasia to rant about Ricardo's new love affair. I wanted Ricardo to be unhappy and see now, he is very happy with a very pretty woman!!
I wanted him to suffer and I don't see him suffering at all!
Flirty
Mmmm, you are very pretty too, says Anastasia almost purring and touching her in a very suspicious manner...
Welcome to the club! Cristina has now something in common with Kracy and Esperanza. None of them can stop thinking about him.
Esperanza because still loves him.
Kracy because still wants him (DEAD!), and
Cristina because still doesn't know him!!
Once at home and to not disturb Abril, ejem! who is sound asleep, Cristina decides to spend the night once again, and continue practice, You know, practice makes perfect!

Now Pato has entered Esperanza's room and add to the conversation that Luquita will be the reminder that will haunt them forever, of Luca's past with Anastasia. Suddenly she has a flashback showing Ricardo and Cristina and starts doubting to tell mother or not, since she is no fond of secrets (when other people keep them from HER)
The Alegría household is steaming with kisses and more kisses but the next day Lala milk is part of a complete breakfast and the three kids enjoy it. Welcome to your new family!
We here in the patio often wonder why the story doesn't make sense and I think I have found the reason. What can you expect when the script is being written to include the commercial product placement? Tell me what endorsers we have today and I will tell you the story we made for them to look like they are naturally there and don't look suspicious.
In his penthouse, like an offer to the Gods of crime, Ernesto destroys all evidence of his ties to Murillo burning everything with rubbing alcohol in a white ceramic bowl that he raises above his eyes.
Uncertainty
Viviana, not so young but restless, goes to the workplace see Mario, who makes a scene in front of Begoña and Arleth, making the whole thing even more suspicious.
The new family Alegrélez enjoy life with no restrictions, in and out of the Palacios Institute. While the grown ups are still practicing like the energizer bunny, going and going, someone fed the kids after midnight and they are running like crazy (well, they have the Kidman genes)
Two more days later!
Childlike
Now Silvana will have two friends!
La tuerta and a diamond, aren't they a girl's best friends?
Silvana, wearing a blouse designed exclusively for her crazy bat personality, and that makes impossible any house chores, like cooking, luckily, here Félix is the one in charge of the kitchen, steals Viviana's ring from Mario's dresser.
Then she takes it to the jewelry shop to have the stone changed for a vidriante* (cubic zirconia), keeping the real diamond for herself.
Now Mario is at home discussing with Félix the final details of their scheme to ask the women for their hands. The suits are ready, but Margarita, who just happened to pass by, overhears some of their convo and ask them what is going on? Bombos?
Tenacity
Meanwhile, back In the Private hospital where we see the same two people going in while the same doctor is always coming out, Esperasna is born again and start walking for the first time in almost a week. She has two men who support her, Dr Delgrano and Ernesto.
This could be a small step for humanity, but for her, it is a giant leap!I see that besides the virotherapy and the gossiptherapy, Esperanza has started the urinetherapy, yes! The one Sebastián Ligarde praises for his eternal youth.
Stench
El muerto y el arrimado a los tres días apesta, goes the mexican saying (the corpse and the guest start smelling after three days) and I am surprised the cat has not eaten Murillo yet. His corpse has started to decompose and the manager of the building brought the police over to see whats going on
Pato and Pedro has seen Ricardo and Cristin twice together but they are still not sure what kind of a relationship is that or if they should tell mapa.
I think there's no hope for my mother's love...
After committing her misdemeanor, Silvana returns the fake ring to the dresser, so Mario can give it to his fiancee
In his office, Luca asks Begoña to track the DNA result, that could be also given out by email. She is so intrusive, she tell herself to buy a enchanted forest and get lost in it.
Anastasia tells Kracy she is worried because Murillo is not answering the phone.
Joyfully, Mario goes and take the ring out while still practicing his speech
Gullibility
Back in the hospital, Esperanza is caught walking like a baby by her kids, who get the surprise of their lives. She has been practicing all day. Oh how she misses the spinner classes!
Night has fallen, and Luca and Anastasia wait in the lab for the results but there was something bad with the system ad computers are down, so they will have to wait another 10 minutes to know the results. Maybe the printers ran out of ink.
In Viviana's place, she is so nervous she could die. Eufrosina tries to calm her down with her famous Té de Tila and then she is saved by the bell. Quick, bring me 10 boxes of Kleenex, cause I am going to cry a lot (for sure, but of laughter!).
Surprise
She opens the door and sees a little wooden rocking trojan horse. Then a giant card that reads: Viviana is my princess. Then the ''Príncipe Caliente'' shows up. Its a mix between Valiant and the lead soldier with Abril's wig. OMG! And he's got a sword! Can you imagine losing your head or any other limb to this idiot who shouldn't be allowed to handle a sword?
At the exact same time, but in the other side of the city, Margarita is surprised by the LGBT mascot, the jotorro with seizures, who sings her all his love. Sigh! This brought back so many memories of PEAM and that ridiculous dance at the wedding!
Go out, eat, repeat
Meanwhile, in one of the only two options we have, Ricardo wait for Cristina because they WILL GO OUT AGAIN! while she changes shoes because with this ones it is impossible to walk. And with the others not? They are the same height! Juaréver!
Andrés reports OK and we will see each other soon.
Ricardo promises her one more time how much he loves her not only because she is beautiful but spectacular, smart, cultured, intelligent, with good sense of humor and pretty. Wait (putting her index on his lips) Don't go too fast... Life is fast! Let's live it. See Esperanza, one day we are here and the next we aren't.
She replies that she loves him only because he is handsome, and courageous, honest, a gentleman, straight (directo, not beating around the bushes, not in the not gay sense)
Kisses and more kisses they attribute to practising, and to the bedroom we go!
Finally, after a long day walking in the room, covering the whole surface of three square tiles, Esperanza is going to bed. She is with Pato, Pedro, Ernesto. Daddy, how many kids you have? Three if we include Ernestito, formerly known as Luquita...
Congratulations LUCA, YOU'RE THE FATHER!! 99.9% prove it.
Tomorrow: Ricardo still could do anything for Esperanza even when she wants him to forget her, and Pato finally tell her mapa what she saw that day in the middle of the Palacios playing ground between Cristina and Ricardo.
*Crude double entendre joke I HAD TO MAKE due to the circumstances (only makes sense in spanish).
*Vidriante (from vidrio-glass) is how we jokingly call brillantes, or rhinestones.
Now please someone help me get rid of that ''Margarita Margarita'' song that I have stuck in my head!!

I keep thinking my dream is that Ernesto isn't really a murderer and that is true persona is the kind, caring, doting suitor that has tended so kindly to Esperanza. I mean I know Ernesto can't be end game for Espe but I don't hate him. He loves her, Pato, Luca and Adrian. There are still some redeeming qualities. And as you noted, he had the decency to close Murillo's eyes, right Jarifa?? :)
I don't like the ramping up of Cris and Ricardo's dating...I mean Espe is suffering as you noted and it is just plain wrong for Ric to be enjoying himself. Espe needs to recover and quickly. Enough of this lingering pain and suffering.
Although the writers are making him even more buffoonish each day, I still have a soft spot for Mario. And I don't think Vivi could care less if the ring is real or not. She will be happy to be with her man and that's that.

Someone said that Ernie didn't care for Kracy's kids when the froggy incident, but I don't see why would he care, when he himself didn't care for Adrian all the time he has been on rehab. Nobody talks about him, nobody goes to see him, nothing.
So, in war and love all is permitted, or juarever the saying goes, and here everybody is carrying water to their own mill. They all are trying to get their SUE;O DE AMOR regardless of stepping on somebody elses dreams. He has money, tahts the difference, and he can accomplish more than others. In the end, when everything comes out to the light, Espe will be so disappointed that she probably die of sadness. She is winning the battle against cancer, but who know if she wins the war?

I totally agree about Viviana. A CZ ring would not matter to her but will she even know? CZ rings in this country are marked as such but since only the stone was replaced . . . Will she go to get it appraised for insurance purposes? Will Silvana open her mouth?

I don't get your crude joke, and might have to persuade Google to explain it to me (dare I?), but I agree with you that circumstances in this "comedy" demand that we make our own jokes. I like your description of Ernesto's evidence burning like an offering to the gods of crime. I can just see Ernesto in white robes in some catacombs somewhere, burning offerings and stabbing pins in Ricardo voodoo dolls and draining blood from virgins (not the one of la paz) to cure Espe's cancer(mixing occult cultures (occultures?) there probably but I don't think Ernesto would care).
Pablo should go to Barcebasco with Kristel. Problem solved. Our problem of looking at his hair, that is. Pato can go, too, and have her whine with some nice Spanish cheese.
I can't find a good fan table on this patio (was at Espe's, but it's gotten boring) so I'm hanging at the bar and ordering lots of Nerfazos. The patio's supplier is now offering a full line of Lala dairy Nerfazos, as well as technicolor Crayola balls. New this week, there are also diamond Nerfazos! Or are they cubic zirconia? Anyway, we'll be stocked up with plenty of ammo to throw at our unfavoritest Sueñolandians.

Pablo, you've got wit, and you're a fun read. I think ricardo and cristina loves the kiss. I guess this is their way of having sex with out actually doing it. This is a messy situation. Somebody will be hurt (cristina). Cuz the show is centered around those two being the lead lovers of the show. One week over, another to come.

Jarifa, I won't lie to you, Ernesto looked smouldering hawt in his assassin get-up and demeanor. Still, I am very mad at Osorio for ruining my only hope of converting Ernesto into a redeemed galán. Maybe I should wear a disguise and join the incognito Ernesto table that Diana set up on the patio. We could shamelessly admire Ernesto's sexiness and bada$$ness and swoon over his attentive care of Esperanza.
Julia, I'm still chuckling over your fanfiction account of those "lost years" Ricardo refuses to provide any details about. Reminded of a couple of Ricardos I had the displeasure of knowing.

Nina, I think the next episodes will prove you right and Cristina will wind up getting hurt. Ricardo has no qualms about playing with the feelings of a vulnerable woman. He just got out of a messy relationship, his murderous wife is on the loose, his kids need a stable home environment and he doesn't Cristina at all, yet he's already jumping in with both feet into another relationship.
