Ha! Remedios told Soledad that "to have sisters is a gift from God". If she only knew . . . Ana Leticia.

Loved all of the scenes between Ana Leticia and Evaristo (the puppet master) with her afraid that Marcelo/Santiago is back for revenge on her; her knowing that Marcelo/Santiago is capable of murder and her willingly hiring Evaristo again to rid herself of that threat.

We have some great "crazies" here from Ana Leticia to Valentín with all kinds like Soledad in between.

Funniest part: Ana Leticia trying to convince everyone that it is to uncle Mariano's benefit they all get back to Mexico ASAP. If she would just quit hanging on him and if he would just quit allowing it like she were six years old! An interesting twist would be if they found out at some point that uncle Mariano was adopted and there is no blood relationship between them. Guess I will just have to keep being creeped out. LOL

 

Jarifa- It's funny how Ana Leticia wants Evaristo to kill Marcelo again because she thinks he is back for revenge (She is scared of death, yet she was the one who killed Jenny without any remorse)...I was glad that Evaristo was playing along just to taunt her; it was so funny
 

Btw...Has anyone realised that indirectly, Ana Leticia is the cause of most of the deaths in this novela?
 

Anon- Yep. She's a one woman killing machine. She caused her parents' accident, encouraged Gina to kill herself, hired Ev to kill Marcelo (which caused the death of Rem's husband), and killed Jenny with her own hands. She's escalating.

So many crazies here indeed and many gullible people too.

I really had hope for Remedios's common sense while she was saying that she would have to tell the truth about Ana Lu, yet Soledad convinced her somehow not to. None of the arguments she employed were particularly convincing, and yet.
For all Rem knows Soledad might have also lied about Santi being married to Ana Lu's sister. The possession of such information alone and its nondisclosure until pinned to the wall should have been enough to distrust Soledad for Rem.
Oh well, we wait some more for the truth to reach Abue and of course our crazy Ana Le!



 

Ria- The argument Sol used to convince Rem doesn't even make sense. Yeah, sure it will be painful for both Santi and AnaLu to learn he's married to her sister. But what do they think will prevent them from learning that, since Santi will obviously learn that he's been sent on a wild goose chase to find this fake wife in Costa Paraiso? Either he will discover the truth (and he has) and come clean with AnaLu, or he won't find out anything, and come back and want to resume his relationship with AnaLu (which neither Sol nor Rem wants since they know he's married to her sister). Clearly Sol doesn't expect Santi to come back, and Rem should be wondering why that is. She knows Sol is close to Ev, she knows Ev fabricated the stories of Santi's past, and she knows Ev isn't trustworthy. She should be worried about Santi and his safety.

I laughed when Sol told Rem SantMarc was dangerous because he was going to hand her to the cops like she was a criminal. You ARE a criminal, Soledad!
 

I would also think that learning that your mom isn't your mom, but your kidnapper, and that you have another family, and that you're a triplet, might take precedence over the boyfriend situation. In any case, both Santi and AnaLu have a LOT of truth to discover, and their complicated relationship is just one of those truths. What's the point of putting your finger over one tiny hole in the dam when there's a giant and growing crack just above it? Tell the truth, Remedios.
 

I was also disappointed that Remedios caved. And Soledad's argument makes no sense at all. Ana Lucia will not die from the knowledge of this bizarre coincidence, but what Soledad is much more afraid of is that Ana Lucia will be angry at having been kidnapped.

The second Soledad knew that Ana Lucia was lost from the accident she should have contacted the authorities and gotten Ana Lucia to Ernestina, who would have been grateful and rewarded her. As it is now she will face the wrath of Mariano and Ernestina together.

And SantMarc took a ridiculous risk at the end of the episode. It would be a good thing if Evaristo would say something about Ana Leticia and her earlier contract on his life thinking that he remembered this, but he is probably too cagey for that.
 

Vivi, yes - everything you mentioned is very true! And Remedios usually has more common sense than most in that novela, so I am surprised she went from "no way, I am telling this, you stole a child" to "mkay, let's keep it a secret and bake cookies." I like that analogy of putting a finger over a small hole when there is a giant one right above.

Urban - that was rather impetuous wasn't it? And apparently Ev was preparing just for the moment. Too bad Santi didn't show up 5 minutes before to see Ana Le giving Ev the money. What does he think he is going to learn from Ev? I too think that pretty much nothing and Ev will end up getting a gun from him and maybe learning something from Santi.

 

Urban- Heck, the second she FOUND Ana Lucia (ok, after nursing her back to health) Soledad should have gone to the authorities, whether or not she had heard about the accident. Children just don't pop up out of nowhere! Even before reading the articles/hearing the news, Soledad knew someone must have been looking for the child. Otherwise, why did she leave her old town so abruptly, get Ev to create a fake birth certificate for Ana Lu, and cut all ties with anyone who knew her old life? Her excuses just don't wash.
 

Maybe Remedios is ever smarter than we think she is. Maybe she is playing the part of acting understanding and playing along to keep the secret because she does not want Soledad to run off with Ana Lu where they cannot be found. Better to gain Soledad's trust so Remedios can go to the police and tell the story so they can much easily find Ana Lu and take Soledad into custody for kidnapping. It will be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out.
 

Soledad couldn't just grab Ana Lucia and split anymore. Ana Lucia is an adult and she is asking questions. It won't be long before the answers don't satisfy her.
 

Soledad doesn't make sense because she is mentally ill. Ana Lucía will find out the truth soon enough whether the result of a search initiated by her or imposed on her by others. Can't wait!
 

About how old are the sisters supposed to be? Do we know?

Free Spirit quits and Maribel is the new top dancer

Santiago feels guilty

BadAna misses a photo and freaks, she remembers Marcelo crying at home telling her he killed in cold blood, someone who betrayed him. She draws the obvious conclusion, given her betrayal, that he is gonna kill her and the missing photo is a message.
Later Abue notices the missing photo too.


Abue’s friend tries to convince old flame to give Abue a second chance but no go, he’ll never forgive her

Jenny’s brother and Ev stop by BadAna’s beach house to tell them all there’s a witness who saw 2 women in the bldg. just before Jenny fell and before the architect got on the plane to take his important and last minute business trip he called the police and reported seeing 2 women fighting in the upper floors of the bldg. before Jenny fell. Bad Ana wants no more investigating, and tioM agrees. She tells Jenny’s bro he can have Ev keep investigating if he wants but will that really make him feel better?

Ramiro has heard about Jenny’s death and he remembers her being nice to him and kicking his ass into gear re going after Llora after he broke up w/Gina.

Inaki and Javi’s dad tries to get FreeSpirit to realize life goes on even when a love affair ends by telling her all about his short love story w/Inaki and Javi’s mom.

Maribel’s routine must not have been all that great b/c Anibal isn’t sure now about giving her the top spot even though she promises to practice lots and lots and be better than Analu. Inaki’s dad brings FreeSpirit in to make a group apology and ask for another chance and Anibal agrees.
FreeSpirit and Maribel do a routine and its great!

Sole and Remedios make dinner and convo. Sole says if Remedios won’t keep her secret she’ll take FreeSpirit and run. Remedios says they can’t cause Santiago’s coming back. Sole tells her about SantiMarc being married, not to Jenny, but to Analu’s identical sister. Remedios is pretty upset that Sole knew SantiMarc all this time and lied about it and isn’t too sympathetic when Sole says SantMarc was going to send her to jail like a common criminal. She, Remedios, is gonna tell the truth and she, Sole, should do the same.
Sole tries to convince Remedios to keep quiet by pointing out how sad FreeSpirit will be when she realizes she’s in love w/her cunado.
Sole wins Remedios will keep quiet.
(During this long convo a few things occur to me. BadSeed may have been happier and saner living w/Sole as an only child w/o any sibs to compete w/for love and attention. Also that Sole may be right about God sending Analu to her to care for and raise, she seems to have done a pretty good job, FreeSpirit is the most mentally balanced of the three girls and the savviest too.)

Some dude w/a gun follows SantiMarc to his hotel and tries to ambush him in his room.
SantiMarc takes his gun and knocks him out and then heads out.

 

Part 2

BadAna is scared and wants to get out of Costa P. but Now. She convinces TioM and everyone else that its best for him to get away from all the memories, and that Jenny wouldn’t want him moping around over her.

Inaki and Ramiro meet in the elevator. Again. This time they talk bout Jenny’s death. Ram suggests Inakie have a mass w/the other employees for Jenny. Inaki isn’t enthused about the ideas but he bums another ride. (Inaki just hasn’t thought it through yet, he can get money from the petty cash for the mass and a little extra so he can pay his rent and nobody has to know.)

Bad Seed and Ev meet at Marcelo’s grave to discuss how Marcelo isn’t in there and it’s a problem. BadAna tells how he was in her house when she was at Jenny’s funeral. And Ev goes ‘yeah about Jenny, it wasn’t the architect who was the witness, it was Marcelo, he was first on the scene and found Jenny’
BadAna wants to know if Marcelo saw what happened, and Ev replies only Marcelo knows if Jenny fell or was Murdered by YOU! Also admits he made the story about the witness seeing two women fighting in the bldg. up to see her reaction and it was a good one, she’s all pale and trembling even now.
BadAna claims she was in Mexico w/her fam when Jenny died and Ev is glad she’s got her alibi all ready he tells her how his guys found Marcelo w/Jenny and there was a shootout and a guy died, but don’t worry they cleaned up real good. BadAna gives him a check and promises another if he will find her husband and keep him from hurting her. Ev’s her man.

Valentin cries over Gina’s photo and remembers how money hungry she was and how he couldn’t please her w/an ordinary job w/an ordinary salary.
Val heads out and Ramiro breaks in.


SantiMarc shows up at the graveyard and points his gun at Ev who says ‘I was waiting for you, Santiago’
SanMarc responds ‘why don’t you call me by my real name, and I don’t mean Juan Carlos Beltran.’

I have a hard time seeing Sole's crime as being as terrible as I know I should, probably mostly b/c I've seen how the other two grew up.

You are right, very ironic that Ana Lu grew up better with the child abductor Soledad than either cruel and self-centered Ana Le or insecure self-deprecating Ana Llora with the loving abue and tio and good money to boot.

I also laughed at "Will Valentin ever have any happy flashbacks?"! That guy's memories are terrible. No wonder he drinks. Thanks again!

Sorry but I can't help as a recapper. I am already doing "Sueño de amor" which is plenty for me but if I have notes I never mind helping out in a pinch.

I also have some pity for Soledad and do not see her as some totally evil person. Rather I see her as a woman who was psychologically unable to come to terms with her own daughter's death and when the opportunity came to have a daughter again she could not bear to turn it down. She is not well, mentally ill, whatever you want to call it.

Thing is, Sol knows nothing of AnaLu's family. And who's to say that the family wouldn't have been BETTER off with AnaLu, to throw off the weird/dysfunctional dynamics between the other two sisters, and Ernestina on one side and Mariano on the other. From the flashbacks, as children Ana Leticia was always a brat, Ana Laura was always shy and withdrawn, and Ana Lu was the confident, normal one. It seems that with Ernestina being obsessed with finding her, and Mariano being Mariano, it allowed the other sisters to fall deeper into their quirks/dysfunctions. Having Ana Lu there would have probably been good for ALL of them. Ernestina wouldn't have been so sad and obsessed. Ana Laura would have had a sister who actually loves her and helps build her self-esteem, and Mariano would have seen what a NORMAL relationship with a niece is like (he ignores Ana Laura because she's shy and crippled).

If Remedios had not agreed to be Sole acomplice, Sole would go crying to Evaristo and he would do whatever to protect Soledad. Maybe Remedios knowing some of Ev's character played along w Sole to keep her body and soul together.

For all her sourness towards him, and insisting he is NOT a father-figure to her, Soledad sure goes crying to Ev a lot to help her conceal her crime. And she may say she doesn't want him to kill/hurt these people, but she knows that's exactly what he's doing to keep them from revealing her secret. What else does she think he's doing?

I get why BadAna doesn't want Jenny's murder investigated, but why doesn't Mariano?

I do think it's likely that Remedios is playing along with Soledad for safety's sake. There's nothing to be gained by frightening her.
 

Julie, good point about Remedios' motivation as to not spill the beans on Soledad. I wonder what she would do however if Santiago appeared back on the scene since her prime motivation would be to protect him.

Vivi - you're probably right about the family dynamic being healthier w/Analu there, I just can't help being glad she didn't have to be the middle child always in the middle, trying to make her family sane and could just enjoy her childhood.
The fact the Sole doesn't even know what the fam is like though and doesn't care doesn't speak very well of her, she readily admits she's selfish and I think she's willfully blind about Evaristo's methods, she just wants her problems taken care of, and she's using Evaristo shamefully. But hey, nobody's perfect :P
 

I really enjoyed the moments between Ana Lucia and Iniaki's father. It felt like a father and daughter moment. I wouldn't mind seeing more scenes like that.

Ev really knows how to manipulate everything to his favor. I didn't realize he knew abt AnaLets obsession with Mariano and that she would kill Jenny. Got that one right. Getting more money from everyone....

AnaLuc needs to get her head out of her bum and realize Mari is not her friend.

I hope Cynthia's theory abt Rem is true otherwise I'll be disappointed that she is staying silent. Doesn't seem like her.

I like how Evaristo toys with our little murderess Ana Leticia. And am enjoying how this is heating up. But still appalled at that horrid murder of Jennifer.
