Hello Patio Pals! I’m currently away on holiday in 1991, where internet and cellphones don’t exist and where the prized summer activity is lazing about all day and digging holes on the beach in between naps. Not to worry, though! Over the next three weeks, Blogger willing, mini-recaps for the Monday and Tuesday episodes are scheduled to post at 6 am EDT on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Esperanza rejects Ricardo’s help when she nearly faints in the halls of Instituto Palacios. Cristina Vélez Valderrama (CVV) helps her walk to the teachers’ lounge.
Pamela, Selena and their new sidekick Abril sabotage Silvana’s work by pouring a whole bottle of liquid detergent into her water bucket. The scene starts with a plethora of booings, pings, fairy dust sounds and chirping sounds and ends in a sea of foam covering the entire classroom Silvana was cleaning.
Regino, the new Murillo, discovers Kracy in Anastasia’s apartment. She threatens him with a gun and manages to escape.
Mario complains once again that he feels like he’s a kept man. He’s afraid his wife will get tired of contributing more money than him towards the household expenses. Chances are she’ll get tired-er of his hypersensitivity and constant whinging about this subject.
Ernesto is excited Esperanza agreed to marry him. He buys the engagement ring and prepares the dinner date where he’ll formally propose. He instructs Begoña and Arleth to close down an entire restaurant, have the chef design a special menu for Esperanza’s diet, hire a musician to play live music, decorate the place with flowers, candles, special effects, the works!
CVV apologizes for feeling a little jealous when she saw Ricardo with Esperanza in the corridor. She says she couldn’t help it, though she knows she was being silly. Ricardo wants her to vent (desahogarse), to express her true feelings. He also assures her that his relationship with Esperanza is a thing of the past. “Now, I’m all yours!” CVV is glad she won’t lose her Ricardo Alegría.

Kracy, disguised as a clownish version of The Cat in the Hat, is camped outside Instituto Palacios to spy on Adrián.
The Alegría kids call their new mommy La Generala. The General knows how to give orders and look impeccable but she doesn’t know how to cook. She has given kids cereal for dinner and, another time, it was pancakes for supper. Today, they’re having takeaway pizza. Ricardo isn’t faring any better in this department. He’s never shown preparing the children a balanced nutritious meal. I’ve only seen him feed them pancakes, homemade burgers and his famous huevos rancheros.
Margarita visits Casa Guerrero. Pedro opens the door and she goes: “Ooh! How handsome! Can’t help but think about what my granddaughter is missing out on!” Stop drooling, sabertooth, Pedro is practically a child! Raboverdeando /cougaring aside, Margarita did something nice this episode. She bought Esperanza a human hair wig. That was really sweet of her! Esperanza likes her new wig. She recalls the day she shaved her head. Parts of that emotional and poignant scene are replayed. Damn you, invisible ninjas! Quit cutting onions near me!
Thuggish Bad Boy Ernesto is back. He roughly manhandles Anastasia up and down her living room because she hid Kracy in her house all this time. He strangles the whole truth out of her. However, she admits that she only agreed to helping Kracy because that nutter had threatened her and her baby.
Margarita says she wants to adopt Esperanza since her own daughter is a vile and disgusting oxygen-waster. Since Margarita is also Ricardo’s adoptive mom, does that mean that Esperanza and Ricardo are now adoptive siblings?
CVV and Ricardo are supposed to be working but they send each other amorous emails. She mouths I love you and he does the same, with a playful wink. When Cristián de la Fuente winks, my heart melts a little. The Alegría-Vélez kids arrive with an announcement: They had a serious discussion amongst themselves and decided that their parents ought to get married. Because it’s practical and because the parents seem to love each other, based on all those kisses on the mouth they’ve been sharing. The grown-ups explain that people don’t get married because it’s practical but rather because they are in love. Besides, before taking such an important step, they must know each other very well to find out whether they are compatible and whether they share the same tastes, values and dreams for the future. They ask the kids to give them a bit more time to ponder the issue and the kids give them one day to make a decision.
Félix says he feels stuck (atorado) in his life, that’s why he has become so obsessed with implementing rules. Margarita figures he wants to have kids, kids that she is unable to give him. Later on, as they prepare to fall asleep, Félix receives a text message from his mother announcing that she will arrive tomorrow.
Sweet Attentive Loving Ernesto takes over for the night. He takes Esperanza out to their special dinner date. The piano piece playing in the restaurant is lovely. The place is filled with flowers. One of those drone thingies that cut the hand of Enrique Iglesias in one of his concerts flies in with a little pouch containing Esperanza’s ring. Well, this should bring back nice memories of the hawk proposal that Ricardo prepared some 20-odd years ago. Ernesto says the ring represents his sueño de amor and he would like Esperanza to share that sueño/dream with him. He asks her to be his pretend wife. She says yes. He is happy. He asks if he can kiss her. She says yes. He is happier. Smoocheroo.
Erasmo visits Anastasia to comfort her. She confesses the whole truth regarding her history with Kracy and says she understands if Erasmo wants to run away now. Erasmo doesn’t leave. He decides to stay and make out.
Dionisio brings Kracy a tablet showing live images of the large cage he got her. The image feed cannot be traced back (no se puede rastrear) to her because the IP address bounces off (rebotar) several servers around the globe. I’m not entirely sure, but a quick Foogle search tells me this procedure is called Proxy Chaining. It consists in connecting to several proxy servers (intermediary servers) that do not reveal data about the original user, before reaching the intended destination of the user’s request. Anyhoo, Kracy is set with everything she needs to keep tabs on her gorilla. She rewards Dionisio with a session of hot monkey sex that puts him right to sleep. Holding a gun to his head, she thought-bubbles: “What am I gonna do with you, Dionisio, when I no longer need you?”

I also thought it was some kind of conflict of interests "adopting" Esperanza. Considering she is always meddling in everybody's business, that is.

I just thought of something else.
That Boda doble would be the perfect excuse for the judge to make the "mistake" of marrying Esperanza AND Ricardo, and you know, what God puts together, nobody can take apart, except the Pope, that is. After all, that judge is not used to multiple weddings, she said so.

It was hard to see Cristina jealous of a (looks like) dying woman (Esperanza). At least she finally came to her aid and helped her out,
When Tracy was so busy with Regino could not have Anastasia hit her in the head with something? She could only have her gun pointed at one person at a time.
Yes! One good thing about Cristina: she likes anchovies on her pizza!
Anastasia is playing a dangerous game with her habit of telling less than 100% of the truth.
It looks like Margarita is being kind in asking "40 something"????? Félix if he wants children and seemingly offering him an out. Maybe Margarita will adopt a new "sister" as in Felix's mother since the Margarita character is probably the same age as Felix's mother eventhough the actress herself has that beat by a couple of decades.
Looks like Dionisio could be experiencing "the big sleep" since the cage, camera and the transmission are all set up and Tracy doesn't need any loose ends.

Hi Nandicta, enjoy your much needed vacation. I hope its a lot cooler on your beach than this one in north florida.
The recap is intriguing. How is kracy going to kidnap ricky? If hes the gorilla shes referring to. One thing thats good, she's out of the apartment with anastasia and little lucaboo. Maybe arasmo should move in as protection. When they Aren't havin a tongue tussel that is.
I thought espy didn't want to wear a wig, tho she looks great with it on. Her own hair was beginning to grow back.
This Is a tedious situation with erny. I wish he wssn't a killer. Thats going to ruin it for him and espy, and pato. O how I wish he didn't have blood on his hands. O well, whats done is done. I've come to realize this tn is a hot mess, thats about to get messier. And it goes on to september. Might as well honker down, its gonna be a looooong hot summer.

Diana, I cannot wait until you can catch up and can add what other thoughts you may have about what's going on. I am waiting on Comcast OnDemand, too, for some shows to post episodes. It gets tedious. :(

I'm not really watching... I tuned in to see the actors without hair and now I just watch Julian Gil scenes. His face fascinates me.
I will say I feel bad for Betty Monroe. She was supposed to be the female star but now that Marjorie has joined, she is getting equal billing and screen time and stolen the galan. I dnt know who Ernesto killed but since Chris and Marj seem like a strong couple, I hope the writers find a way to make Esp and Ern a great couple. Unless CVV dies, I don't see her and Ric breaking up, especially after combining families. E
