Tres Veces Ana #102: And The Truth Shall Set Who Free? I Think I'd Rather Be Chained

Ramiro and Ana Laura have had another lover’s spat.  They make up, vowing NEVEREVER to have another.  Just then Ernestina, La Gran Abuela, makes a grand gesture of sanctioning premarital passion by presenting the two an all-expenses paid 3 day getaway holiday.  (Dunno, but having Granny pay for my first out-of-wedlock, secret fantasy roll in the hay just seems sooooo wrong.)

Samuel and Mariano discuss the fine and finer points of Mo’s first and second encounters with Soledad and Ana Lucia.  “—Instead of contacting us she kept the girl!  She kidnapped my niece.”  So, first off, Mo wants Sam to change his will.  He’s now giving 50% to Ana Lucha and 25% each to the other triplets.  This will even the score for 20 years of financial deprivation she suffered.  Sam says that’s all well and good, Bro, but stop and think how Ana Leticia will react to this. (Good catch, Sammy Boy.  It ain’t gonna be pretty.)

Speaking of the Queen of Rome, she and Iñaki are still in their 5 star no-tell motel.  They exchange their video confessions with each other.  (I guess it beats cutting their palms and exchanging their blood, kemosabe, but still, this is really more like the Sickies Are Ichies and They Я Us!)  They seal it with more sexual satisfaction in Suite 666.

Meanwhile, Ernie and A Llora argue over the fact Ern has given Ana Lucia’s golden ID bracelet to Mo supposedly to get rid of it since Ana Lucia’s “proven” to be dead and it was a fake bracelet.  A Llora says, hey, Ram spent a fortune of his own cash to buy that from the dude who found it.  How could you be so cavalier about it?  “--Well, she’s dead and that’s that.” A Llora says she disagrees and that PI could have been wrong, ya know.  She isn’t dead. So I want it back to keep myself. I’ll give it to her someday.”

Across town at Ramiro’s bachelor pad, Marcelo supplies the missing facts to Ana Lucha’s past. While living in Costa Paraiso, he was a PI and did specifically missing persons. "--Your grandmother (Ernestina Revadinera) came to my offices desperate to find you.  She gave me this I.D. bracelet” A Lucha recognizes her lost bracelet.  “--I have a grandmother???”  That’s when he met and fell hopelessly in love with her sister, Ana Leticia.  They even had the love rune tattooed onto their backs as a symbol of their undying love.  (Makes me wonder if they end up together as Mr. and Mrs. Santi or as Mr. and Mrs. San-Marco, will she force him to get it removed—and will he????  And, just when did A LETMEEEEE turn so nasty?  She seems pretty reserved and harmless in this backflash.)

So,  each of Ana Lucia's sisters has one.  Sisters – plural??? Yep.  There are three of them.  She dreamed of three faces always looking back at her in a mirror.  It was a nightmare she couldn’t explain.  Marcelo explains.  Simple enough: they’re tripets [trillizas].  (Must be a real bummer to learn after all those years—especially when you’re that beautiful--that you are not ‘unique among the universe’.”)

“—I came to San Nicolas and met Soledad.  I threatened her with jail.  That same day I had my car accident and lost my memory.  It was the same highway and spot of the river where your parents lost their lives, where Soledad found you after losing her daughter—her ONLY daughter, her true daughter."  Suddenly Ana Lucha remembers that fateful day and time of her life.

Solebad has taken refuge at Chana’s place and refuses to let Chana say a word to A Lucha.  Chana hopes Sole will see things differently in the morning.  It’s best she tells A Lucha the truth and the whole truth.

Later that evening, Ana MiMi has agreed to meet Orlando in a classy restaurant to discuss his demands.  He informs her that he not only knows Ana Lucia, but Sole and Don Isidro.  He’s been A Lucia’s friend since childhood.  As for old I-sindro, she should know he’s sly as a fox [colmilludo] and a real opportunist [ventajoso].  So, if she’s as smart as she thinks she is, she’s better off dealing with Orly to get to Ana Lucia than I-sindro, cuz that old geezer hasn’t the slightest idea where to find her, but yep he does.

After a while, Santiago reappears and finishes the story for Ana Lucha.  She wonders what kind of woman must have raised her.  The woman raised her, but to avoid her loneliness, not for any special love towards her, she insists.  “--Marcelo is right!”  Santi suggests she listen to Sole’s explanation.  Ana Lucha is more than upset.  She’s angry because she realizes how the woman took control of her life and kept her away from her real family.  “--Soledad saw how much I suffered all my life with the nightmares I had growing up and she said nothing!  I can never ever forgive her!”

Back at the restaurant, Orly lies that he’s doing this on his own.  Ana MiMi is too smart by half for that little act.  “—Naw.  You’r nothing but a miserable alleycat.   Who’s your owner?” [amo=master, boss, employer]  It’s all we and she can do to keep from upchucking while watching Orly’s lowbrow, loutish behavior at the table.  Double ugh.—But, hey, it’s nothin’ this sick bitch can’t handle.  She’s all about murder and magnificent mayhem, right?  He waves a paper with his financial demands and gives her 24 hours to come up with the cash.  Otherwise, he goes to the manse and negotiates with Granny or Sissy.  Her choice.

Ana Lucia puts a few more of the pieces together for Santi.  “—The same day Marcelo came to speak to Soledad, he had his accident.”  Evaristo was always hanging around Sole.  Then Remedios’s husband told her to protect Marcelo.  “—Your life was in danger- is in danger.  Evaristo is a criminal and my mother was his accomplice!”

At the same time, Ram and his papi are going over the new funds for The Foundation.  Ram begs for a few more days to prove Valeria’s innocence in the embezzlement of foundation funds before Ed reports her to the police.  Edmundo agrees to that.  (Viewerville wonders if he’s really got a lock on that or not.  Is he going to plead victimhood once Ram finds out what he’s done?  And if he’s done it once, has he done it before????????)

Santi shows A Lucha a picture of him and Ana Leticia together.  She’s two-timed-angry-woman-impactada at the likeness to her triplet. “—You lied to me this whole time.  You weren’t in love with me.  It was HER you saw in your dreams all this time!"  He tries to explain that he, as Santiago, truly loves her.  (Yep.  That’s why you told Ram you still have the hots and lots and lots of luhhhvvv for A MiMi too, right big guy???)  She rips the picture of a much more innocent-looking Ana MiMi in anger, tells him never ever to come after her or to seek her out again, and races out the apartment door, slamming it for all she’s worth.  Santi weeps tears of loss and longing.    (Sheesh!! SantiAgo, you are sooooo five minutes ago.  GET.A. LIFE! --And, to A Lucha, I say there are lots  more fish in the sea and do not be so short-sighted.  Become a famous acrobat and find a sexy suitor like Javier or something.  Forget weepy, wimpy, walk-all-over-me dudes like this one.  You'll thank us in the end.) “—Forgive me my love,” Santi sobs to nobody there……

What an episode! Finally the truth comes out. Ana Lu's reaction is about what you would expect after all these months (and years) of deceit. It was very sad to look at this unravel, her realizing she is all alone with this, even with Santiago there. Very powerfully done scene.

Sole turned out to be a coward, who now can't look Ana Lu in the eye. Judging by her antics the entire series, I would have expected her to fight to the end.

And now we have to wait till Tuesday for the episode?? Unfair!

Looking forward to the recap, Jardinera and very fitting title!!

Jardinera: looking forward to your documentation of this one. I never seem to get the little bitty tiny things which you always catch.

Jumpin Jackrabbitts Batman. AnaLucia got the most painful ‘great news’ I have ever seen anyone get. I was a little surprised she didn’t want to go and verify his information with a few other people, like maybe a DNA lab and the office of public records. Something, somebody, I just never trust sole source information. (Engineer)

So anyway we finally got that task done. Santi.Slow.Talker took 40 minutes and 37 commercials to tell her what our ViVi could have told her during one Hillary commercial.

Edmundo climbed several rungs up the ‘deserves a painful death’ ladder last night when we saw him matter of factly acknowledged to Evil.No.Brain that Ramiro (his SON) must die. Maybe even higher with his cold blooded conversation with Ramiro about locking up poor innocent Valerie for his own theft.

Speaking of, the memory loss with Alzheimer’s, though heart breaking to watch, seems to be too little too late as an anvil. The guy may be suffering, but he can’t remember what for half the time….. Like punishing a baby which has no idea of right and wrong. It just bothers me.

Anna thanks about the KEY. I had completely forgotten about it, still thinking that Old Numbskull had it and may not even remember. I assume now the only mystery is where the box is? I had thought that the key was to a safe deposit box or something whose issuer’s name and other identifying info would be linked to or ON the key. How dare you leave town in the middle of all these crises?

Agreed, it was a painful and well done scene. But relieved that it's finally done and Lucia knows the truth! I'm not surprised at all that Sol ran. She's always been a sniveling coward. Now that the truth is out, she can neither face up to Lucia, her family, nor the law. And Ev can't help her this time.

Will Ram and Laura ever make it to the romantic trip (go, Abue!)? Now that Ev has written down his death wish for Ram, and Edmundo also looks like he's plotting something, I don't see a bright immediate future for him.

Yes, Ramiro is the man of the hour. He will save the day, according to Chana, be hunted down by what's left of Evaristo's gang and, I hope, get to vacation with Ana Lau. I am doubting that the latter will take place, what with Valentin and Maribel nipping at their heels and the many other issues on Ramiro's mind in play. The good news is that Ana Laura seems less mousy every time we see her.

The confession did take a while but I have to admit to savoring every minute of it as Santiago and Marcelo eased in and out of their roles and Ana Lu tried to assimilate it all. Angelique has done a marvelous job with her three characters.

The nerve of Soledad, threatening Chana as she snivels and hides. Then after getting her way, she gives Chana a hug. Not much of a threat, of course, to be on the wrong side of Soledad, but it still indicates her egoism.

Meanwhile, looks like Inaki may be both set up by AnaLe and be superfluous to the plan as get the information she needs from our oily friend Orlando.

So much cooking as these final weeks evolve. Jardiniere will make it every more interesting and fun, without a doubt!

Looking forward to the recap!

Finally after months of waiting Ana Lucia learns the truth. I wish it hadn't been from Marcelo BUT he's the only one that has/had the balls to do it. I think Santiago could've but obviously the writers thought he needed some assistance lol. Like I said before, I do think Ana Lu needs to talk to Soledad now. Soledad owes her an explanation. Even if Ana Lu doesn't forgive her I'd think she'd still want to hear what Soledad has to say. And even if Sole plays the victim card Ana Lu needs to know her intentions.

I applauded Ana Lu for figuring out the plot in like 2 seconds. The lightbulb went off in her head and she immediately figured out everything about Evaristo and Marcelo's accident. She's smarter than others give her credit for, which is kinda unfortunate. She didn't deserve to be kept in the dark.

I hope Edmundo and Facundo both go to jail. Edmundo, at least. He annoys the heck outta me! He's a criminal! If there's no Ram/Ana Lau wedding I'm going to be super disappointed.

Can't wait to see what happens to Iñaki and Orlando in the end.

Jardinera, fab title. Looking forward to the recap you're brewing.

Ria, thanks for clearing up that Ev no longer has one key and Marcelo has both of them. Poor Ev [not!] has nothing left from all his masterminding.

Thank goodness Marcelo cut to the chase to give it to Ana Lucia short and sweet (uh, bitter).

Poor Ramiro. Hope he gets some lovin from AnaLaura before his enemies descend on him.

I had a very herky-jerky playback last night so I will have to rewatch this when I get back from the film I'm leaving for in a few. I missed a lot of dialogue.

The idea of Edmundo accepting Ramiro being murdered is horrible but why are we shocked? He always seemed to have blamed Ramiro for the death of his wife and there never seems to have been any evidence of affection. He's just a greedy SOB who will do and take whatever he wants because he feels entitled to it. I am starting to wonder whether he has been fleecing clients his entire life so that none of the money in his name is honestly his. That would be a terrible reveal for Ramiro once he gets over the shock of escaping death.

Knowing how Televisa writers love the roller coaster ride of the last three weeks of any series we have to expect a lot of inversions, explosions, and big splashes before the end comes. Unless I'm wrong I don't think Ana Lucia knows about the brain tumor yet and that will be another unseen twist on the ultimate roller coaster.

I don't like that Ana MeMeME knows about it.

A Jardinera recap for this episode will be just perfect. Can't wait!

Poor AnaLu - that moment someone just ripped out your heart to realize the woman who you thought was your "mother" was someone who took you from your family and two sisters who you never were able to know or grow up with. That your novio is married to your sister and you look just like her because your triplets.

I've always wondered how AnaLu would react to knowing the man she loves also loved someone who is her identical in looks. Did he fall in actually fall for her because deep down he was identifying her with her sister? I mean, wow, she got whammied from all sides. Ana Lu is going to have to experience the nightmare that is AnaLoon before she can come to grips with that.

There are time when I see Ram that I wonder if he is marrying a woman who is emotionally and mature enough for marriage. There is time Llora comes off just shy and sort of cute innocent and other times, like a twelve year old. Still think it would have helped her to have work with a psychiatrist for awhile to overcome her insecurities and years of being dumped on by her sister. I suppose we are expected to think Ram will be her savior and make that all go away. Too bad in real life, I'm not sure it would have worked that way.

Oh, the Armageddon list, yeah, Edmundo now needs to die. Is Ram really his son or is he just that evil?

We don't usually talk on this side of the fourth wall, but Ms. Boyer is something. I have never really taken her seriously, but I do now. Any of the three characters she is playing would be award winning, how she did all three is nothing short of amazing. All the while playing opposite of, and with a real (tempory) world boyfriend underfoot.

toa

I am very much looking forward to your recap, Jardinera!

What a great job of acting from last night's episode as Angelique Boyer played Ana Lu. She played so well how someone who has been lied to for the last 20 years would feel. Ana Lu had a ton of bricks just fall down on her and now she knows that the woman she called "mama" all these years is not her mama. She lived all these years deprived of her real family and she is feeling extremely hurt now knowing that loss. Then if finally hit her about Evilristo running this show. He's the one who protected Solebad all these years and he's the one responsible for making sure that she was never reunited with her real family. He was the one who ultimately was pulling all the strings.

I really hope they do not kill of Ramiro. He's such a good character and always has the best intentions, trying to do the right thing. I truly enjoy how David Zepeda has embraced this role. Hopefully, we get to see Ana Laura and Ramiro's wedding soon. Now what kind of father would want to murder his son like that? Ratmundo really is evil, just as evil as Evilristo. Die, Ratmundo, die! Both Evilristo and Ratmundo should meet their demise in a horrible, painful way.

Can't wait for Jardinera's recap. I know it will be excellent-as always.

Anonymous 2;01pm, I agree that Boyer is giving an award winning performance in this tn. Just curious, why you say her real boyfriend (Rulli) is just "temporary." He has done an excellent job, also. He has grown as an actor and has been her "strength" throughout their relationship.

Boyer has been the driving force in this TN with the most challenging (title) roles, but Rulli has delivered some praise-worthy performances, also.

I think they are a wonderful couple and hope they will remain together (although I will concede that the majority of actors do not have "forever" relationships).

It will be interesting to see what happens when they begin to work separately. Wonder how Boyer will accept Rulli playing the type of love scenes she has had to perform with others in TVA?

Virginia I think you answered your own question in your last two sentences. These boyfriends are usually temporary. I could be wrong, of course.

Put her opposite Soto in the next one and let's see. Ja Ja

Little AnaLu has no one, that she knows, to turn to. E V E R Y single person she thought she could trust has turned out to be a liar. She does not know her real family, all FOUR of them, yet, and one of those four is a murdering maniac who wants her dead. She has Maribel, and the DanzAire people I guess, and would do well to be temporarily 'fathered' by Inaki's Dad. Tadeo? My CCs always call him Annibal.

I am interested in Chana's statement that Ramiro is the only one who can save AnaLu. Shit, who's going to save him. His own Daddy wants him dead, among others. Marcelo is beginning to turn on him lately too. AnaLLaura aint exactly gonna zoom by on her Harley at the last minute and swoop him out of danger.

And Pennzoil needs to go into that big recycling vat.

toa

Chana doesn't know any of this and has never met AnaLoon, but here goes:

-- Ramiro is the only one who knows Marcelo well enough to recognize the aberrant personality split
-- He is also the only person who really seems to understand this
-- He is mostly capable of keeping a cool head in a crisis
-- He knows the real Ana Loon
-- He knows the realities about Evaristo, Orlando, and Soledad.

What he doesn't know is that his own father considers him expendable.

Is there anyone other than Chana who could possibly prevent Evaristo from doing any more damage?

I've watching the episodes and reading the recaps, but where is this key and what significance does it have. Please if anyone wants to help??

OK, finally got a decent playback. Agree that AB took this episode.

I can't wait to see the fallout when Mariano announces the changes in his will (and I hope he waits until it's been notarized). Samuel has warned him that Ana MeMeME will not like this. Too bad, so sad.....NOT. Most lawyers in the western world would agree that this is fair compensation for what she didn't have growing up, right up to the college education and trips abroad. If Ernestina does the same thing we know Ana MeMeME will really go off the deep end. I wonder whether that will provoke Ana Lucia's memory of Ana MeMeME being responsible for the accident and of how monstrously selfish she already had become.

SantMarc really needs to have the operation. In the real world this is likely to be followed by radiation and chemo and all this will take several months. Since Ana Lucia just told him she never wanted to see him again ("famous last words"), now is the time to do this. Maybe in the US for his own safety. He needs to get better. He needs to see a shrink to integrate the parts of his personality. And he needs to get rid of that tattoo.

SoleBad has proven her cowardice. She's trying to run, but she won't get away. I think she will get arrested; Mariano is determined.

Anonymous, there are two keys that open something that contains something important. Both keys are currently in Marcelo's possession. We haven't been told what is in the box or where that box is, but I suspect the information is in the notebook Evaristo began destroying. This could contain the info that Soledad is the half-sister of Ernestina or it could contain info about the offshore account that Ratmundo transferred the Foundation's money into. Or both. Whatever, it won't be much longer before we find out.

And no episode Monday? Bummer.

OMG Urban, great memory and thanks responding. Very few do.

I didn't remember how Marcelo got the second (Evaristo's) copy of the key, but my thought was the box, etc. contains information about the powerful man we've been guessing about.

Anon @7:26 when Evilisto's thugs kidnapped Ramiro and Marcelo rescued him right before they shot Ram, Marcelo had stopped by Evilisto's place and took the Evilkey and Evilfone on his way to save Ram and help kill EvilGrandson and EvilThug.

Jardina, a perfect title and sensational recap.

"Must be a real bummer to learn after all those years—especially when you’re that beautiful--that you are not ‘unique among the universe’.”)" was my favorite of many.

I hardly know where to begin.

"It’s all we and she can do to keep from upchucking while watching Orly’s lowbrow, loutish behavior at the table. Double ugh.—But, hey, it’s nothin’ this sick bitch can’t handle. She’s all about murder and magnificent mayhem, right?" Yes Jardinera and you nailed this scene to a "t". It was totally absurd seeing Ana, the evil, intelligent spider lure the not too bright Orlando into her web. Now my only question is how long she will toy with him before she strikes. I hope he enjoyed one of his last meals on the face of this earth.

"Thank goodness Marcelo cut to the chase to give it to Ana Lucia short and sweet (uh, bitter)". Although it was heartbreaking to watch, you are right Niecie. Better these particular words came from Marcelo rather than Santiago.

Daisy, I feel Santi (unconsciously) fell for Ana Lu at first because he had a vague recollection of familiarity. It wasn’t intentional but of course it certainly appeared that way to Anna Lu after the revelation. I almost wish she would stick to her resolve and leave him. She now needs to lick the wounds inflicted by her "mother's" lies and deceits and process all the revelations of what she perceives as Santi's treachery and the thought of the family awaiting her. Of course she has no idea her evil sister wants her dead. I wish someone had enlightened her in that regard.

Urban, yes, this is a good time for Santi to get his surgery for all the reasons you mentioned.

Again, the acting has been riveted. I've seen Zepada in many things but this is the first time I can honestly say he was well cast and has captured my full attention.

Jardinera, thank you for the fine, fine summary.

Diana

Jardinera, You lit up the screen with your wise and witty comments on these folks. I love your take on AnaLeticia -- "It's nothing this sick bitch can't handle." Summarizes so very much about the evil one, at least so far.

Actually, all three of the sisters showed some smarts last night. AnaLu immediately figured out the danger to Santiago (as another commenter pointed out) and AnaLaura was indignant about the bracelet and managed not to spill the beans as to why.

Now if AnaLu would just listen to your advice we could really end this novela with a bang.

Daisy - I agree that AnaLau seems so often like a child. She has come around on many scores but remains the least interesting of the sisters and her relationship with Ramiro isn't convincing to me.

Diana - I so agree about David Zepeda. I have never quite taken to him but here he is very well cast here and does a good job as a partner/confidant to Rulli. I also like the concluding song that he sings and apparently co-wrote.

These three day weekends are killing me. I'm afraid LetMeMeME will do something in the meantime and get away with it.

:-)

TOA, sry got confused. At first when you thanked me I thought you were talking about the Name Key for the characters, but then I read Niecie's comment. No prob, only reason I remember is b/c I had both recaps of when Marc threatened Samuel for the first key & the episode where he knocked out Ev stealing the second key and cellphone. They kinda left this plot hanging, but I think it's because the writers are holding off on bringing Edmundo's anvil too soon. And although Ev's anvil is his dementia & losing his loved ones, the deposit box is gonna be his final undoing. By then, all the secrets should be out in the open. Sole will have inherited whatever is left after Nerina & the foundation get back their wealth, I'm hoping what's left is a fat zero.

Found it odd that Mariano is already drawing up his will. I think AnaLu'd feel insulted that his compensation, for all the time lost, is to give her a bigger inheritance. Even Samuel had the common sense to know that it's gonna cause a rift, especially with AnaLet.

Gracias, Jardinera. Loved the line about the spider and her prey.

As to Mariano's will, the current distribution of his assets and the proposed change is predicated on him never becoming a father. Wonder what Viridiana thinks...

Ana Lucia might be insulted by this, but we can't be sure; more likely she'll be baffled and think it unfair. I'm sure that Ernestina is wealthier than Mariano and has more to leave the girls whether or not Mariano had children of his own someday; this is something that Ana Lucia might even point out to him when she knows he is in love with Viridiana, who still looks young enough to have children.

Not that his current will or his proposed changes will mean anything when Ana MeMeME ends up in the manicomio or the facility for the criminally insane.

Samuel got it right when he said that Ana MeMeME will implode at the change. I wonder what else he has observed about her. Has she ever draped herself over Mariano like a cheap suit in front of Samuel? If so, I don't remember him saying anything about it.

SantMarc needs to get that surgery now. Ramiro should find another hospital and keep the location to himself because SantMarc's life is still in danger. He will be the one who saves the relationship of SantMarc and Ana Lucia.

Sam says that’s all well and good, Bro, but stop and think how Ana Leticia will react to this. (Good catch, Sammy Boy. It ain’t gonna be pretty.)

Oh yeah, how true Jardinera! And stated in your usual no-holds-barred style. That was my favorite along with [Santiago] "you are soooo five minutes ago!" Yes, I still find myself preferring the hard as nails, but direct Marcelo over his super-sensitive woe is me alter ego. Maybe the final blend will have a little more spine.

And thanks for the definition of "colmilludo". Not a word I know but sure will try and remember it!

Enjoyed the recap immensely and wish we had an episode Monday but no luck! So sick of politics.

Jardinera, thanks for a great recap! I especially enjoyed your description of the Orlando/Ana Leticia meeting.

I wonder how Ana Leticia is going to take care of Orlando . . . I hope it is something good and fatal.

Mati, I didn't realize that David wrote and sings the song in the ending credits. Will have to pay particular attention to it in the future. Thank you!

Anna, the fact that Mariano is so completely oblivious to Ana Let was painfully obvious when he asked for redistribution of his assets to include Ana Lu. It's so frustrating, isn't it?

And Urban, Sam seems rather savvy and you raised a good question as to whether or not he's seen her in action. Inappropriate action. Sigh.

Diana

Thanks Jardinera a great recap once again
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one weirded out by the idea of Abue sending her nieta on a sexxy getaway

And yet if she'd just bought them a honeymoon it'd be less weird somehow.
Hm.

>>Of course she has no idea her evil sister wants her dead. I wish someone had enlightened her in that regard.

Who? The only one who knows this is Iñaki, and he's willing to betray AnaLu's trust and led her to her death trap!

Wow, this really getting fun now. I wish we could see our favorite little wretch tomorrow night. We keep politics out of this, OK. So AnaLet already seeths with murderous envy and jealousy and she has no reason. What is going to be hilarious is when she meets her pretty, well adjusted, athletic, husband banging, 50 percent-inheriting sister. Smug in the wrong knowledge all these years that a non-damaged identical sister was dead, she will blow a head gasket when all this finally sinks in. She lives her life in a homicidal rage right now interspersed with bouts of incestuous debauchery. I think this shit will build up inside her and she will emotionally swell like a cheap garden hose left in the sun too long with the faucet on. It's gonna be messy. I just hope little AnaLu makes it. I don't give a fig (thks AN) about SoeSorry, but in spite of everything AnaLu has done pretty well.

toa

Thanks, Jardinera! This great recap will have to tide us over until Tuesday. Once again, so glad the truth is out to Ana Lucia. Too bad this SantMarc crap is casting a shadow over what should be a happy realization that she has sisters. Instead, it just adds to her misery. I hope she gets to meet Ana Laura and Abue before she meets and has a confrontation with Ana Leticia.

Thanks, Jardinera. Fun-tastic recap.

I'm so ready for the Ana Laura and Lucía reunion. I wished they'd put that on the front burner while Santi is off with Ramiro or Remedios having his surgery.

Ana Laura did look mortified that her granny is trying to help her nieta and Ramiro get busy. !Que horror! When they're not dealing with TinTin, I like this couple. Except for Ramiro hiding Ana Lu, they're both pretty honest with each other. Ana Laura even confessed she likes (translation: "gets turned on") when Ramiro gets jealous of TinTin. Kudos to AB for great chemistry with all the novios in this TN.

Don't know if Samuel has seen AnaLe pawing her uncle, but Mariano has complained to him about her possessiveness. I'm thinking Samuel knows a lot more than he's saying.

Now that Ana Lucía has names and knows the truth, will she Foogle her family? Found myself getting even angrier at Solebad. How could a grown woman keep a little girl away from her little sisters. When 4-year-old Ana Laura first woke up without a leg, I can see little Ana Lu being such a comfort to her.

True, Niecie. Ana Lucia would definitely bring more light into Ana Laura's life and Ana Laura would not be so insecure now if Ana Lucia had been restored to her family. Ana Lucia may have already had adequate self-esteem to fight Ana MeMeME.

>>> Too bad this SantMarc crap is casting a shadow over what should be a happy realization that she has sisters

It could NEVER be a happy realisation, considering that at the same time she found out that the woman she called 'mother' her whole life is not actually her mother, but someone who kept her away from her biological family, and who blackmailed her emotionally in order to control her.

That is absolutely true. Ana Lucia is probably a shining example of someone who will ultimately forgive the unforgivable crimes SoleBad committed against her, maybe before finding out that she is actually her great-aunt (which SoleBad herself doesn't even know yet). We've asked ourselves what Rodrigo is doing in this story and he is the one who supplied that particular piece of information.

That she has two sisters who are identical is another matter that can have major psychological impact. She suddenly goes from being unique to being a clone. Both of her sisters are psychologically damaged and one of them is a dangerous sociopath who wants the other two dead. While Ana MeMeME may say this is about the inheritance it's really much more about the spotlight. This will only escalate her madness because she has two sisters who can perform something in public that she can't. Ana Laura plays the piano, Ana Lucia dances on silk, but what does Ana MeMeME do? Wear her ramerawear and expect to be admired for beauty that won't last forever.

The worst of this situation is that Ana Lucia is also about to be betrayed by Inaki, whom she previously thought of as a friend. Even without the danger to her life that is worse than what has happened with SantMarc, who is an unfortunate victim of coincidence as well as of Ana MeMeME's madness. Which nobody seems aware of yet.

Here is an interview with a set of identical triplet brothers. Interesting.

On the subject of Inaki, it bothers me to no end that he is willing to throw away a loving father for a mother who ditched them for the chance at "a better life." He is now demanding the money as compensation for his time which might be a suitable punishment for Julieta's actions, but his own love of money is already his undoing. If Ana MeMeME doesn't do him in the goons who have been collecting his gambling debt payments will.

I didn't say anything about this the other day but when Inaki told Tadeo to take some money and disappear I thought that Tadeo's leaving money instead was quite a statement. The man's income is irregular and that money was probably everything he had after paying what he owes to Remedios. That Inaki would think these paper notes more important than the love of a parent is such a contrast to the probability that Tadeo would give up his own soul for the love of his sons. Brilliant touch by the writers.

Sneaky: "if she'd just bought them a honeymoon it'd be less weird" -- That's exactly it. Why should a honeymoon trip be weird, ya know? WTH.

===========
UrbanA: "Ramiro should find another hospital and keep the location to himself" --ITSA but I doubt he'll think that far ahead.

=======
Diana/Traveling Lady: I recognized Zepeda's voice singing one of the themes. I loved this guy as a devil and a sidekick, but not always as the lead in these things. He is doing his role justice in this tn, ItA.

Diana:"how long she will toy with him before she strikes"? Good question and very apropos.
============
AnnaN: "I think AnaLu'd feel insulted that his compensation, for all the time lost, is to give her a bigger inheritance." IMNHO, she won't want any of Mo's moolah but I think she might understand his need to do this. She never had any before and won't need it since she's good at making her own way and happy to do so; I rather think she'll show some tact akin to Ana Llora. She's half-way between her two sister's personalities. Just my take is all.......

My personal take on Edmundo is that he stole much of Nerina's money when her hubby was sick in the hospital because she was an easy mark. I bet he's been doing this all along to all sorts of clients, as compared to Rodrigo, who's made fortunes for his clients/friends.
================
Judy B: "Maybe the final blend will have a little more spine." We can only hope. I hate seeing this kind of wimpy male. However, Rulli does it so well. I almost marvel at the way he switches from the one character to the other so completely.
==============
Jarifa: I do think that A MiMi is the only one now who could make Orlando's final moments both just and justified. It will be must-see-tv.

Wait, what happened to my thank you comment? Jardinera, I thanked you for an awesome job, I mentioned that this was the best one yet. In my attempts to list all my faves, I think I pretty much rewrote most of your recap lol. Thanks for the spanish lingo too, I love learning me some slang :P

I also mentioned the characters, let me see if i can remember...
Oh yeah, I asked why AnaLet is even giving Oily the time of day. She already has her info source, and she'd get all that info free w/o having to pay a dime. I would've thrown that piece of paper in his face, and tell him his info is useless. Unless, marrying Inaki is much more costly to her. And he can threaten to bribe Erne all he wants, if you remember the last time she thought someone was extorting her (Ram), she'd likely throw him out on his assk.

I also applauded AnaLu. For someone who just swallowed a heavy pill, she was very lucid in her thinking. She pretty much figured out in a matter of minutes what no one else was willing to see or accept, they all gladly ate up Solebad's bullcaca. She pointed out that not only were Sole's motives clearly manipulative and self-serving, but that she was simply afraid to be alone. Sole wasn't trying to protect her, AnaLu was merely a convenient replacement for her dead kid, Sofia. She's lived her whole life w/ this woman so she'd have a better assessment than they would. Very smart of her to also make the connection b/w Marc's accident & Soulbad/Ev. The best part was her telling Santi to stop lying to himself, and admit that his love for her was pure amnesiatic confusion. Another TN would have her continue the "Love overcomes all" mantra. In reality, any self-respecting woman would do the same thing she did. So proud of her. Santi is a mess, and she could do bad all by herself.

Oh and I also mentioned that this is the first TN (I've seen) that has many galans who are incredibly flawed. And yes there's a diff b/w flawed and mentally incapacitated lol, but we can't complain anymore about TN's that give us the same ol' knight in shining boxers b/c when they do divert from that, we're still not satisfied. Ah well, take what I can get.

Thanks Jardinera for the stellar recap!

Urban, I agree with you about Tadeo leaving all of his money on Inaki's table, along with the photo. I was hoping the writers would come back to it, Inaki seeing the money and picture and have some guilt of feeling, but nothing. Maybe they are writing Inaki off into the sunset with AnaLet at the wheel.

Tio changing his will only ups the ante for AnaLet to get ride of AnaLucia and AnaLaura quickly.

I like how Marcelo spit it out for AnaLu. Santi was trying to comfort her but she needed cold hard truth about Sole's role. Can't wait to see what her next steps are now. Find her sisters? Talk to Mariano? Hide in a hole until the pain goes away...

I think Tadeo signaled he had washed his hands of of Inaki when he left him the photo of him, Tadeo and Javier along with the money.

It's my understanding that before the accident Ana Lucia had sufficient enough self esteem to fight off Ana Leticia. Had Ana Lucia been allowed to grow up with her sisters, she would've been Ana Laura's defender against Ana Leticia.

I kind of don't like the distribution of funds, even if Ana Leticia weren't a psycho. I understand Mariano wants to make up for what Ana Lucia missed out on growing up. Even though she's turned out fine without the money, she was entitled to the privileges Ana Laura and Ana Leticia enjoyed as they grew up. Why deprive Ana Leticia and Ana Laura out of their birthright because Ana Lucia was deprived? Abuela will probably do the same thing. It's not right. Each triplet should get 33.33%. IF they do want to make it up to Ana Lucia, give her 40% and the other two 30%. But giving Ana Lucia 50% and bumping the other two to 25% just doesn't seem right to me. Ana Laura wouldn't care but I would have to agree with Ana Leticia that it wouldn't be fair to her (or Ana Laura).

Anon207, good call on the meaning of Tadeo's action.

I also think that your proposed distribution with 40% to Ana Lucia is a better solution. Samuel might even suggest this as an alternative. He doesn't know that Ana Lucia is unlikely to care about the money and that Ana Laura will not care about any of it as long as she gets her sister back. All this will be moot once Ana Leticia is in the manicomio, the facility for the criminally insane, or the cemetery.

What would seem to make sense at this point would be for SantMarc to disappear for long enough to take care of his surgery and recovery, then to return when the dust settles. Maybe Ana Lucia can go to university and study whatever she wants. Then he should be a complete personality with the ability to face his feelings honestly and come back. He knew as Marcelo (prior to the attempt on his life) that Ana MeMeME was a selfish bitch. He may not have seen just how sick she was and he still doesn't know that she is sick enough to want to kill both of her sisters. I don't know if the current situation will allow him to find that out. I also don't think he knows anything about her obsession with Mariano. Nobody seems to have picked up on that yet with the possible exception of Samuel (I wish Chana could see this in the cards).

Ana MeMeME is also smart enough to know that she wouldn't get away with killing both of them. Thus she will try to kill Ana Lucia when she can figure out how to get away with it. To kill both of them would look far too suspicious to anyone with two brain cells.

-- She will probably try to get Inaki to do the actual dirty work. Will his love of money and lust for this Black Widow in the Making win over his past loyalty to Ana Lucia and Santiago? Could he stop himself in time?
-- OR.... would actually doing this give her too much pleasure to delegate this to anyone else? Will she have Inaki set the trap she intends to spring herself?

Urban if I remember correctly you were with us on Fin del Mundo. When Ramiro is on, I do not see Chava 2.0, but every time Nerina is on screen I catch myself wondering what the hell Greta did with her hair. :-)

toa

No, Anon, I didn't watch that series. I see that there are alumni from it that are together in this one, but that is the nature of the studio system.

Soledad / Triplets / Ramiro were also together in Abismal Pasion.

Alot of the characters in this TN have worked with Boyer before. We already know the main ones have been with her, but also the smaller characters too! The actor who plays Tadeo was w/ her on Mujeres Asesinas. The actor playing Miranda was in Muchachitas Como Tu and Rebelde with her. Jennifer, Samuel, Anibal & Viri in Corazon Salvaje, and Daniel & Chana in Rebelde.

toa, great comment about Greta.

Hi everyone! I have read the recaps & comments & it seems you all have such great comraderie, however I have never posted before. In my opinion I would not like for Saint/Marc to end up with AnaLu because first of all it is just gross that he has slept with both sisters...Amnesia/Split personality or not. Second according to the novela he truly loves both sisters which means that even if his split personality merges into a great guy there will always be that shadow hanging over their heads. I think AnaLucia should just soldier on & meet someone else.

Dayana

Welcome Dayana and thanks for jumping in to join the discussion. As you can well imagine, writing and posting these recaps takes a lot of time and effort, but the rewards come when a lively and appreciative discussion ensues. You make some good points about the sticky impossibility of a Santiago/Marcelo love quadrangle with Ana Leticia and Ana Lucia. We'll have to wait and see what the writers decide. Heads or Tails (no pun intended).

Tumors or Tushes

Dayana Welcome! As gemela, JudyB said, it's always livelier when we get different pts of view! And yes I totally agree, I've said before that I just don't see AnaLet entering a manicomio. The inheritance, and the love triangle makes it too complicated of an ending. To make a nice clean break, the TN Gods must sacrifice anything that may get in the way of our pareja's future happiness. If Santicelo lives, then AnaLet must die. So long as she's around, her shadow will always lurk. But for me, I'd like it if the tumor did him in & AnaLet was killed off. Then AnaLu can find true love where she can introduce her new novio at Ana Laura's wedding. Everyone will be glad that the 2 psychos have left the building, and will move on with a new slate. AnaLu & AnaLa can be shown visiting the panteon dancing on their graves--er, paying their respects.

JudyB LOL @ Heads or Tails.

Anon4:06 Tushes. Always tushes. Unless the tush is actually a tumor :P

Anna. I don't know, that romantic ride into the country after she has laid a liplock on UncaLuuuurve might just get her there. I want to see that evil little bitch suffer. Death is just too quick and Alzheimers is a cop out too, WRITERS. Be insufferable for what seems like years even here on the patio, then pfftt! worm food. Nope. She better pay.

toa

She can suffer, but eventually she must die. And she's not evil, so much as she's just really sick in the head. Her actions have always been on impulse, not necessarily premeditated. She tends to feel guilty post-mortem, we've seen her attempt to retract her hubby's murder, feel guilt about her parents/sisters, and even have nightmares about the other victims. She was also upset at seeing Gina's body. She does have her sick moments when she relives murders in front of her mirror, but that's what it comes down to: a sickness. She's not as cunning as she'd like to think she is, she's just crazy and naughty.

And just to be clear, the "romantic ride" is more for Inaki's benefit, not hers. I want his anvil to be bittersweet. Him dying, but dying a badass ...and alongside his main squeeze (so he can die knowing he's cleaned up his mess).
