Tres Veces Ana #113 - A Wicked Storm This Way Comes

Color Guide:
Recall in Red
Reader Reaction in Blue
Rhetoric (espanol) in Green
Preview in Purple

Ana Lucia is telling Remedios about her family trip, and plans to leave the hostel. Remedios uses her stew as a bargaining chip for her to visit. She then drops a bomb on Rem that Solebad's been in jail, and she's asked her uncle for her release (le exigí a mi tío que la saque de la cárcel)

A devil-may-care in a devil daycare

Mariano and Solebad are also playing a bargaining game. He wants to offer her freedom in exchange for her disappearance from their lives (Si quiere recuperar su libertad , desaparezca de nuestra vida para siempre). Solebad goes on to list all of Ana Lu's fantastic traits, and takes credit for all of them (uh, it never occurred to you she'd have grown up that way in SPITE of your help). She uses the other two identicals for comparison. Under Mariano's care under his Just Throw Money At Them Program (Viewerville begins filling out a sign-up form), Llora has become an insecure, fearful, untrusting ninny, while Ana Leticia (se convirtió en una mujer cruel, prepotente, voluntariosa) grew up to be a cruel, bully, fickle, arrogant, bratty, selfish, greedy, snobby, slutty, clingy, manipulative.... (ok she didn't say all of that, but Viewerville knows this resume by heart). Mariano thinks his mistakes as a young papa, doesn't change the fact that what she did is unjustified. Sole continues justifying. Then she throws her free get out of jail card back at Mariano, and tells him to hit the boardwalk. She'd rather rot in jail, than to stop considering Ana Lu her daughter. (As if this woman couldn't be any dumber, she assumes this man has the power of mind-control).

When you accidentally order a Diet Choke

Marcelo gives Ana Leticia props for saving money on hotels, but she denies having slept at Inaki's. He opens the depa with his own copy, and inspects the place. He's surprised Inaki isn't there, and she told the truth (primera vez dijiste la verdad). Marc must be encountering tears for the first time, because he asks why her eyes are wet. She feigns the reason as her merely feeling emotional at this being the last home they shared. Marcelo remembers being unable to make her happy. He asks what it was he couldn't provide, she says it was something way out of his hands to offer (Algo que no estaba en tus manos ofrecerme), but he distracted her enough to be close to bliss. She knows he saw Oily's pictures, but she explains that it was her response to his continued frolicking in the bed of her sister. She only told Inaki what he needed to hear to get her way. Marc no longer cares what she does, they'll be legally separated. Ana Let refuses, because that's what brats do. She'd rather him dead, than with anyone else. Until death do us part. Marc gives her neck a good squeeze, be careful what you wish for. They're both enjoying themselves it seems. Marc realizes that he'd never had anything real with her. Now that he knows her, he sees he never loved her, he loved an image of her in his own mind. He repeats this, as she screams for him to quiet. Ana Let seems to be having a computer shut down. He put her on a pedestal, and worshiped her blindly (te subí en un pedestal y te adore ciegamente). But she fell off (Viewerville puts away their tomato slingshot. Your welcs, Marcelo). Ana Let reminds him of the rune tattoo and his vow of eternal love. He makes a new vow that their love is dead, and demands that she sign for the divorce. He exits.

Javier is calling Inaki in the hopes of reaching him. Tadeo notices his worry, and asks what's going on. Javier denies anything is wrong.

Ana Laura is stomping around the house to seek out the attention of Ernestina, and then Leonor, to tell them not to bother her.

The true alter of evil has his own Altar of Ev-il

Ernestina is visiting Chana to hear her out. Chana predicted she'd be there and apologizes for not explaining her association with Sole. Erne calls her a huckster, and an accomplice to a kidnapper who kept Ana Lu far from her family, her blood. Chana says she's not a huckster, and Ana Lu had never been far from her blood because Sole is her sister from the same mister. Pointing to his photo, she explains that Evaristo Guerra is behind much of the family's tragedies, and everything ties to the sins of her dad. Erne can't take any more, and leaves.

Fac-man is in what appears to be his own home (in Costa Paraiso?), having a flashback to a lunch meeting with Ignacio:

She put a ring on it

Ignacio finds the meeting pointless. Iggy flashes his ring and mentions his triplets as his meal tickets to earning the business fair and square. This business, he points to the ring, is the kind kept in the family. Fac-man snickers, Augusto knew Iggy wasn't ready and considered Fac-man like a son. Iggy says he was just another employee, and he needs to get it through his skull that he's out. Iggy plans to prove that he's capable of running the business.

Fac-man admires a photo of him and Marcelo as a child, as he flashes back again to le olden days:

If it looks like it came with the frame,
it's not a real family photo.

He orders a young Marc to stand up for himself, rather than crying for being pushed to the ground. He wants Marc to take out the kid in front of him, to show him he's not a loser and that he'll fight for what he wants. A hesitant Marc (the inner Santiago?) heads over as the foreshadow of a bully, Marcelo. Evaristo comes to bring Fac an update, the job's done. He shows a newspaper headline of Ignacio's ”accident”. Fac smiles as he looks on his boy's triumph over a much smaller kid.

No, no, fishy face is like this.

Fac-man pulls out of his daydreaming to welcome his guest. Tin rolls in. Fac-man's face reads of the all the weakness and flaws he immediately sees in Tin.

Valeria comes to give Ram her condolences. He apologizes for the time she spent locked up, but she doesn't think him responsible for his papa's actions. He feels ashamed and that his world is crumbling (siento tan avergonzado y que todo mi mundo se derrumbó en mil pedazos). She reassures him that he's a good man, and consoles him with a hug.

Ana Let is still at Inaki's nursing her drink as she flashes back:

She revisits the time she watched Marcelo tell Ana Lucia he loves her before they kiss. And the time she watched her uncle tell Ana Lucia that he loves her as they embrace. She then remembers the video swap of her and Inaki's confessions.

Ana Let then begins ransacking the place, and is unable to find it. Javier comes knocking, mistaking her for Ana Lucia. He quickly realizes that no, she's the woman Inaki loves and works for. He says Inaki constantly talks about her. Ana Let's ego is slightly tickled by this. He continues saying that despite knowing her sisters are identical, Inaki finds her unique and the most beautiful. Ana Let feels her ego becoming unhinged, and tries to exit. Javi stops her to ask where his bro is. She flashes back to the night before. She says that Inaki was a special person, who accepted and understood her better than anyone (me aceptaba como soy, y me entendía mejor que nadie). He was very close to winning her heart. She claims he'd gone on a very long business trip, he also needed some distance after meeting his mother. Javi is shocked, and wants to know where she is.

Gasp, even Javi is a mirage!
Craziness Confirmed!

Viri gives Ghoulietta a job. She asks Ceci to get her up to speed on the inner workings of the boutique. Ceci isn't forgetting Ghoul's treatment of her, and is having fun bossing her around. Ghouls is later at Viri's house, as a storm breaks out, settling in with new clothes, and new outlook. She's grateful for letting her stay, and reveals that there's very few things she wished she grabbed from her house (son muy pocas las cosas que lamento no haber podido llevarme). Among them, Daniel's belongings, a dried rose from a man she once loved (Tadeo), and a drawing (Inaki's).

Javi is in a cab leaving Inaki a message again. He's met his boss's niece who is Ana Lu's sister, and he also knows about their mom, he wants to know if he's there with her and to call him back. He flashes back to meeting the dame he assumed was Inaki's sex-client. He realizes that he met his mother after all, his tears well up.

Who are half these people?

The pension welcomes the return of Remedios. Ana Lu half-hoping and half-dreadingly, asks Maribel if Santi is there. Bel responds that he’s not. Ana Lu appears conflicted by this. They sit in the dining room. Tadeo wonders where Javi is, and Nerina talks excitedly about Rem meeting her son, Tin. Rem exclaims she's envious of Neri having her son by her side. Just then a thunder claps and a (empapado) soaked Marcelo (you wouldn't know it with all the gel he baptizes himself in) enters behind her, surprising them. Bel asks why Ana Lu isn't happy to see Santi. Ana Lu corrects her, “That's not Santiago, it's Marcelo” and stomps off. Marc asks if he can go after her. Rem reminds him that this is his house and his family. After he leaves, she asks the pension family to give her a hand (échenme la mano) in supporting him during his difficult time.

The ogling face of Voyeurville...er, I mean Viewerville.

Marcelo finds Ana Lu sitting on his alter ego's bed. He asks if he could change, and she tells him that while the clothes may fit him, they're not his. But on second thought, she doesn't want Santi to catch a cold, so she allows him free reign. She smacks her forehead as his back is turned to grab clothes. She resigns herself to sitting anxiously with her chin rested on her hands, as he peels off his wardrobe one by one. (Viewerville offers Ana Lu a few singles to throw at him). She then covers her face as he starts on his shirt buttons, but slyly peeks through her fingers to admire his muscular back (Viewerville fans themselves). She asks what happened to his back, and he says he made a stop at the hospital. He asks her if she could help remove the bandage. She peels the gauze back to expose a bare, tattoo-less shoulder. (Viewerville is wondering why Mexico has kept this instant tattoo-removal a secret from the world).

The scar of Ana Leticia's mark remains

Mariano scolds Erne for putting her health at risk by going out. She says her nervousness is from the police stationed outside her house. Mariano says it seems they're watching the home in search of Fac-man (van estar vigilando la casa, por si el tal Facundo aparece por aquí). A drenched dog sneakingly runs inside behind their backs (Oh silly me, that's just a very wet Ana Let). They go quiet upon seeing a very dry puppy limping over (Oh silly nilly, that's just a very indignant Llora). She demands to know what's going on. Ana Let suddenly appears to tell her to chill out. Erne is glad they're all there to discuss an important matter. Llora guesses it's about Ana Lu. Ana Let gets upset that they didn't take notice of her needing to change. They ask her not to take long as she runs up.

A face like that deserves a screen lick

Leo sees a wet Ram heading their way. Llora takes an umbrella Mary Poppins style and offers to greet him. She demands to know why he's there when she specifically asked him to stay away from her. They stare into one another's eyes. Ana Let runs up to her room and notices her windows are flung open. She rushes to close them, and turns around to find....(thunder clap).....Inaki! Bleeding and wet, he greets her “Hello, my love”. (Happy dance and flowers thrown while twirling in circles).

YOLO? Pfft, not our Inaki-Pooh!

Avances: Marc is telling Ana Lu the truth behind his memory loss, his wife ordered to have him killed. And a sexilicious Inaki grabs Ana Let by her throat, and tells her sweet threatenings in her ear, his voice full of resentment at her abandoning him.

~The Banana Peel of Mex Appeal ;)

There cometh a monsoon, a family learns it's not immune, to the return of misfortune. We peek into the past of a goon, his murder of a tycoon, in the hopes of a boon in attaining the family's heirloom. He and a wheel-bound turd promise doom, as an uncle and jail-bound bird impugn. Also, we endure the regrets of a loon, and the new employment of a prune. We witness the fall of a tribune, as a crybaby rebukes her groom. The godson returns to his commune, with a different tune. We see the vanishing of a rune, and Ana Lu's resistant swoon. A card reading causes the past to exhume, as Inaki emerges from his tomb ...and all upon which this recap will be strewn. So discuss, fume, or secretly loom, a sleepy Anna will return with a rehash soon!

*runs out of breath* Welp, you can count on me to overrhyme & embellish the ca-ca out of an intro :P

That's quite a rhyme fest, Anna! Can't wait for the recap.

Everyone was right about Inaki, but where does he go from here? I can't believe that Ana Leticia would care enough about him not to kill him once she finds the memory card with her "confession" on it.

I'm calling foul on the writers over the conspiracy between the young Evaristo and the young Facundo over the accident that killed Ignacio and Lourdes. If anything had been done to the car the accident was still Ana Leticia's fault:

-- The car was alone on the road
-- Ana Leticia pulled the wheel all the way over
-- The car hit the bump right away
-- It happened too fast and there was no time to apply the brakes, which would not have done any good in mid-air.

Good casting job on the young Facundo.

SoleBad's martyr act isn't cutting it for me. It's totally in character but I still feel no pity for her.

What a fun intro to the recap! Thanks, Ana. I am looking forward to your recap.

It was so sweet: seeing Ana Leticia on the ropes, Marcelo telling Ana Leticia he never loved her, Ana Lucía secretly watching through her fingers as Marcelo was taking off his shirt, Soledad criticizing the way Mariano raised Ana Leticia, Ana Laura finally standing up to somebody other than Ramiro: her family!, and Chana telling Ernestina about her "other" sister Soledad.

It was a very satisfying episode except for Iñaki still being alive. What a downer!

I am glad that Inaki is alive. I knew they wouldn't kill him off so easily. Him and Ana Leticia are one of the reasons I keep watching this novela...when Javier was telling AnaLet about how much Inaki adores her; she seems to have come to realise that Inaki truly does love her. It's a big eye opener for her, I hope she takes it and runs with it. The two of them are fire together.

I am soooooo glad Inaki is still alive! But as he appeared hiding in Ana MeMe's room, he was saying something about "why did you abandon me and leave me for dead?" He doesn't know that Fac took her after that, but what was stopping her from going back with someone? Nothing. I suppose she could say that she was afraid of Fac's "people" coming back.

Seriously Anna your are incredibly talented!!! Looking forward to reading your recap at work tomorrow and stifling my laughter!

Such an amazing episode! I agree Urban that it seems far fetched that Evaristo caused the accident, hopefully it will be better explained.

I do feel the writers are doing a great job with Santi/Marcelo's merging of personalities. I cheered when Marcelo revealed his tattoo is gone! And I swooned when Marcelo told Ana Lu he was going to love her. I was like "yes!" Imagining it was me. Please excuse me while I swoon again, Rulli is SO FINE!

Hope to be back later, good night!

Cynthia Hampton- If AnaLet decided to come back, Facundo's men would have killed her. I remember him telling her that she should go straight home and that he had his men watching her...When she turned up to his house the next morning, I think it was out of hope that maybe everything was a dream, or that he somehow got supernatural strength, recovered quickly and came back home. She also probably didn't go back to the woods the next day out of fear.

Love it Anna! That rhyme fits so perfectly with my happy dancing routine over Inaki's appearance.

Ok, I know he is a killer, but I'm still firmly planted at the Inaki patio table because, well honestly, villain, bad boy, killer, whatever...the character and actor has hit this out of the park and I want to see how his story is REALLY wrapped up. Dang, even the previews with he and Bowyer were hot. Can we have those two signed up for a future TN together. (Sebastian you are fine too).

Seems like Santi is "gone" as a separate entity. I think we're seeing Marcelo as he once was, and realizing it's AnaLu he loves. Still need to get this guy to a surgery and I'm suspecting that will be our angtsy last few episodes...wrap up the bad guys and then he collapses, etc.

We wanted Llora with some spine but now she's just a brat as someone pointed out yesterday. I actually hate seeing her show up on screen now.

Nice house Fac has. So the shack in the woods? Total fake out to lure in Leonor? Anyway, why was a silently rooting for him to take out Tin last night...I'm bad.

The moment Chana said that all the tragedies in that family were connected with someone's revenge plans (maybe 50 episodes ago), it was clear that the accident had not been an accident at all.
Remember, we've only ever seen the 'memories' of a couple of four-year-olds. The flashback has always been from their point of view, and reality may have been different. Maybe we'll now see the accident re-told.

Baa…Nan…Aaaaahhhh…Slap me naked and hide my clothes Frankenaki is alive, and paying a visit at the mansion. It was a dark and stormy night, cops lurking outside waiting for Fecaldo to show up, not knowing that he is volunteering with the cripples, giving Tin Tonk physical therapy at his home. Can’t wait for your masterpiece. Does your keyboard ever overheat?

I almost cheered at the discovery that SantMarc had the tattoo removed (Not to mention it was a perfect excuse to have Sebastian Rulli take off his shirt). The next step is for him to stop putting that crap in his hair and to shave properly. He already said he was starting to dislike wearing ties. He is becoming Santiago, his better self.

Now we need to know what the connexion is between Facundo and Valentin.

SoeBad continues to endanger my last remaining Television. It barely escaped last night while she was as arrogant and self righteous as ever. Non repentant in your face, still defiantly calling her kidnapping victim daughter. Let that bitch rot in jail. She may think she likes it now, but a couple of years of cleaning toilets and mopping floors might help her attitude. The holding cell she is in now will seem like the Marriot compared to where she could wind up. I fail to see how Mariano did not reach across the table and strangle her miserable ass. Aaarrrghhh. Just kill her already.

toa

Anna that was some clever word weaving on the fly.

Nice twist the removal of the rune tattoo. Soledad pointing out Mariano ain't a father figure simply for being a male and blood relation. And agree Jarifa it was cute Lucia peeking through her fingers as Marcelo disrobed.

Even if a 5 year old deliberately grabbed the wheel, Leticia didn't intentionally kill

Never liked the Iñaki character and would have cried foul if Leticia had said she loved him

But for me the stupidest story line is a guy with a split personality, clearly sick, and those around him have chosen sides of him to support. Marcelo/Santiago is a comic book character. Now if they wanted to make it interesting they should have both Lucia and Leticia equally loving their half of man flesh, not allowing Lucia a win by default.

Thanks for the recap!

Does anyone think that Inaki isn't really alive? That AnaLet is having visions with him because her complete mental breakdown is near?

I thought this because it doesn't make sense that he's not at a hospital and moving around very comfortably with a chest wound. Also, I don't think the first thing he would say is, "You left me there." He was very worried about her and even stepped in front of her to protect her from Facundo.

Carolina - Yes, I too suspect AnaLe is having a guilt vision and Inaki really isn't there. Even if the bullet is only a flesh wound as I'd hoped, he traveled a long way with it. Wouldn't he have called Javier instead to pick him up and get medical care? Instead of sneaking inside AnaLe's house while everyone is present?

Of course even if it's just her vision, Inaki could still be alive somewhere.

Carolina- You might be right. It does make a lot of sense for her to be hallucinating. It is not just believable that he is not in the hospital at the moment. We will just have to wait and see.

Ana: "A card reading causes the past to exhume, as Inaki emerges from his tomb ...and all upon which this recap will be strewn" was wonderful. What an introduction! Cannot wait to read your recap!

I was thrilled Inaki was alive. You could see tiny shards of ice melting from Ana Let's heart as Javier told her Inaki loved her. Because she murdered Jennifer and Inaki killed his brother, there is no happy ending I fear. But Ana's visiting Inaki's home like a frightened child may indicate a heart does beat in her chest after all.

"Ana Lucía secretly watching through her fingers as Marcelo was taking off his shirt". Sigh, Jarifa. Ana Lu's scenes with Marcelo were so hot, I had to have a glass of water. These writers wisely decided the "trick" is in the promise of what is to come, sometimes more than the actual coupling of the characters. I'm sitting at many patio tables, and Rulli's (Santi or Marcelo, take your pick) is one of them.

daisy, yes, Ana Let and Inaki are combustible as well.

UA, I have no pity at all for Soledad either. One of the most unlikeable characters. Ever.

Carolina, your speculation shocked me. I feel a tiny shiver of fear. You may well be right on the money - is it a monstrous mirage? Perhaps. I would be sorry though as there are far too many loose ends to his story right now.

I'm anxious to see where Javier is going. I couldn't follow that thread at all.

Wonderful comments - not even 7:30! :)

Diana

Great point about the possibility that Ana Leticia is imagining him. The only thing wrong is that she could end up in the manicomio before anyone finds out that she killed Jenny and was complicit in two other deaths. That would be too big an omission.

If Inaki is still alive he could have lost his cell phone while falling or it could have been damaged on the way down. Javier was trying to call him but didn't get him.

I want to see Mariano's face when the truth about Jenny's death comes to light. He will need a shrink when that happens.

This still sounds to me like the writers didn't plan on other characters having anything to do with this incident until we got to about 20 episodes ago. I don't like stories or characters to be reconned like that.

Having said that, the most disturbing thing about the accident flashback is that Ana Leticia was completely indifferent to Ana Lucia slipping out of the car. She did nothing to even try to prevent that nor did she even look frightened.

The flashback to SantMarc's childhood, however, was a good explanation for why he has a split personality now. From the playground incident we know that Facundo tried to indoctrinate him into showing no weaknesses so we can safely assume that he considered emotions like Love to be weakness. I shudder at what his marriage must have been like.

Anna, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for he recap after this intriguing intro!

Carolina and Niecie, I too thought Inaki was a figment of Ana Le's sick mind. How would he get through the security in the same bloody shirt and be so alive after this shot? If he did survive, he is probably hiding out somewhere and one would think at least put something over the wound to stop the bleeding. Could our favorite psycho be finally crossing the edge?

Love it Anna!!

Agree with TOA and Diana that I have no sympathy for Soledad and thought she was pretty pathetic to try to scold Mariano and say she was a better parent. Using the present to justify your criminal past is no defense. I hope she rots in jail but we all know Ernie will get her out now. I kept wishing Mariano would have pulled out a picture of his brother and sister-in-law and been like "no woman, this is her mother".

I never thought that Inaki could be a figment of AnaLet's imagination. Something to ponder until tonight's episode.

So Facundo and Tin Tin are working together in some way. Gosh it makes me hate him even more.

I was actually enjoying watching AnaLlora get mad at everyone last night. It's true they all stopped talking when she came in. They could have told her that guards were outside, looking for Facundo. I feel like she has to go all the way bratty mad in order to find a good middle ground for herself later on.

Poor Javi. I fear he is headed to look for his awful mother. Viri doles out her kindness on the most undeserving people, Ghoulieta and Soledad.

Anna - You brought a big smile to my face this morning. Loved the rhythm and rhymes.

I wondered about Inaki being an hallucination also because the brief glimpse we saw of him made him look almost like a comic book character, with darkened eyes and a monstrous gaze. But we will shortly see.

I think there were some decisions about the resolution as we moved along, shifting more and more blame to Facundo and undermining some of the suspense involving other characters (especially the late, great Evaristo and AnaLe). So the great majority of the evil-doing comes down to Facundo's relationship with Ernestina's husband and son-in-law. This all seems so remote from the many months of the build-up to these final weeks.

Tofie - The siding of the characters with different sides of the SantMarc personality is bizarre. I had to laugh when AnaLu said that she didn't want to help Marcelo but would give him some dry clothes because she didn't want Santiago to get sick!

I must say the more the bad boy Marcelo integrates with the good guy Santi the more I'm loving the character.

No te preocupes; Ghoulieta still has the worst anvil coming: Finding out that Inaki killed Daniel. The fallout from that will be how much Tadeo and Javier will hurt when they know.

Mariano wasn't a parent to Ana Leticia and Ana Laura; he was the cool uncle who gave them nice gifts and maybe took them on good vacations. He didn't live with them and didn't parent them on a day to day basis. Not that there was anything wrong with this as his lifestyle wouldn't have allowed for it. Had he actually been a father to them Ana Leticia would probably have not developed her fixation on him.

That reveal is a time bomb waiting to explode.

Anna- I love, love, love this introduction. It's inspired!

The Marcelo we are seeing now is the REAL Marcelo. The original Marcelo. He's finally putting the two sides of himself together and becoming the whole person he once was. Now, let's hope he gets that surgery so that he doesn't die. Love that he told AnaLet that he doesn't love her and realizes that he was in love with an illusion, since she was never the woman he thought she was. AnaLu is definitely falling for real Marcelo. Yay! Still doesn't change the fact that he was her sister's husband, and I'm not sure how they'll get past that. Getting rid of that tattoo is a good start.

ViVi "and I'm not sure how they'll get past that. Getting rid of that tattoo"... Simple..kill her.

So many good comments! Part of me wants to just the throw the half-assed recap I have so far & read through on everyone's reactions thoroughly, and the other part of me wants to give you guys the recap you deserve. I'm going to finish throwing the spanish vocab in, and just cut this one short b/c I think we can all agree that the discussion is really why we're all here :)

I think once it is revealed to everyone that AnaLet tried to murder Marcelo and murdered Jenny that AnaLucia will see that her sister is bsc and get over it. Especially if AnaLet dies trying to hurt someone or ends up in jail for all of her misdeeds.

I hope tonight AnaLaura finds out she was talking to AnaLet and not AnaLucia.

I think Ana Leticia was totally indifferent to Ana Lucía slipping out of the car. To me she did not care. She was four???? She never seems to have developed any empathy as children eventually do and the accident seems to be the first indication of this. She us stuck in an infantile world view.

I thought it was good that Soledad told Mariano he went wrong with parenting Ana Leticia because this is one more person other than Viridiana that has brought up Ana Leticia's "problems". It should be less of a surprise for him when it all hits the fan.

Anna - Your rhyming ode is superb! Last night's episode had a gothic family drawing room mystery vibe and your poem nailed that feel.

One of the best moments for me was Javier realizing that Julieta must be his mom. Finally, a character thinks a bit and puts 2 and 2 together.

Jarifa - I agree that it is good for Mariano to hear the truth about AnaLe as often as possible.

I also thought that what she said about her parenting of AnaLu vs. his weekend uncle parenting of the other two was true -- but also irrelevant to the issue at hand, which is that she failed to return AnaLu to her family. She will never see that but her words last night will buttress her integration into the family at the end. What a frustrating character!

"I also thought that what she said about her parenting of AnaLu vs. his weekend uncle parenting of the other two was true -- but also irrelevant to the issue at hand..."

This is exactly it, Traveling Lady. Just because you don't like someone's parenting style, doesn't justify kidnapping their child! I had thought Sol was progressing when she finally said the word kidnapping the other day when she spoke to Viri. But, nope. She's still as selfish and self-centered as ever.

Will Soledad ever understand the pain Abuela has been through all these years? Abuela endured the loss of her adult daughter and son-in-law and ached for 20 years over whatever happened to Ana Lucía. Parents who have suffered through having a missing child for years have said not having closure, not knowing whether their child is alive or dead somewhere, is the worst. Soledad's lack of empathy for Abuela is mind-blowing.

I never tire of digs to Mariano about the lousy way Ana Leticia turned out, but Urban ITA that "Mariano wasn't a parent to Ana Leticia and Ana Laura; he was the cool uncle..." Abuela was the parent, a very indulgent, clueless one.

Recap is up, on to the comments and then gonna throw up the screenshots.

But first, from the comments I skimmed through, it seems you guys are in sync with much of what I wrote. And I'm glad to see so many doing the happy dance with me at Inaki's table! Rooting for a baddie, it seems, is alot more natural & fun among the scheme of such disappointing characters.

Anna, you are on a roll!! I can't wait to read your recap.

Ana Lucia was funny peeking through her fingers at Marcelo, but isn't it customary to give someone a little privacy when he is changing his clothes - even if it's just his shirt?

And boy, his skin looked pretty good considering he'd just had a tattoo removed. Shouldn't there be a scar?

Soledad had no business criticizing Mariano's parenting skills. That's not for her to judge. (Even if I did agree with her.)

I hope AnaLet's little outburst "can't everyone see I'm WET?" got Tio's attention. Anyone else would have said "I'm gonna change into something dry first, I'll be right back."

I'm not going to guess whether that's really Inaki or just a hallucination, but hallucination was my first instinct since the place is surrounded by cops. But as has already been pointed out, even if he's a hallucination he may still be alive somewhere else... we'll probably find out tonight.

I did feel a pang of sympathy for Ana Laura with the way everyone stopped talking and hesitated to tell her what was going on. I don't blame her for being tired of that. But her attitude doesn't show any maturity. She can tell them that she's an adult and would like to be treated like one - she doesn't have to throw a tantrum.

Fantastic recap, Anna. Muchísimas gracias!
Many giggles and wise insights.

Loved the recap, thanks, Ana!

Thank you, Anna. For something you supposedly cut short, it seems pretty complete and quite thoroughly snarked up to me: "But she fell off (Viewerville puts away their tomato slingshot. Your welcs, Marcelo)."

"Ana Laura is stomping around the house to seek out the attention of Ernestina, and then Leonor, to tell them not to bother her." Yeah, drama queen much??

Ignacio certainly was arrogant in his brief scene. Funny, I think I've only ever seen this actor in one other thing, where he played a very arrogant character. I assume he can do more, but he does arrogant very well. (I won't judge him for being arrogant with Facundo, as I'm sure this wasn't their first conversation on the subject and Ignacio was probably running out of patience.)

Thanks for the recap, Anna!

I'm glad Iñaki is alive! I had to think back as to where exactly Iñaki got shot by Facundo and I concluded that where he got shot couldn't have been fatal whereas Facundo shot Orlando square in the head. Like I said, Iñaki's role in all this isn't finished yet.

I agreed with Soledad on some of the things she told Mariano, particularly when it came to Ana Leticia. But at the same time she's no saint either. While no one deserves to lose a child like she lost Sofia she can't just assume that another child (hers or not) is going to replace what she lost.

Although it sounds ridiculous I think that Ana Lucia should give Marcelo a chance to show her that he's not going to hurt her. While everyone knows he's not Santiago, I think that there might be an ounce of good in Marcelo.

Thanks Anna for the stellar recap!

I'm wondering when Facundo will learn that Inaki is still alive and how long will it take him to go after him and AnaLet.

Urban You noticed the perfect casting, too?! I could've sworn they got the actor's actual brother or son b/c the similarity in the facial expressions were uncanny! And yes, I agree about the hair product overload!! I know the conspiracy seems farfetched, but that's why we wear our beanies tighter for this TN. They need to somehow redeem AnaLet or make Fecal-man guilty of murder. We know AnaLet was just a kid, and feels guilty about her part in the accident. It may not have been the brakes as I'd suggested, but they could've slipped him something to slowly disorient him while driving. Ana Let's indifference to Ana Lu is merely the poor portrayal skills of a child actor, we once heard Ana Let talking about how she could see her sis float away and was too paralyzed in fear to save her.

Jarifa I know you're not a fan, amiga, but I think his return will make the plot much more spicier. And I agree on all those fun moments you mentioned!

Anon12:45 I'm with ya on that. They are fuego together, and are my favorite pair to watch.

Cynthia Even if she didn't have a good excuse, Inaki will stick by her no matter what. He knows she lacks scruples, and shouldn't be too surprised. But I imagine he'll get it off his chest, and then get it on in her bed.

Lily Long time, amiga. Indeedo, I'm not a big Rulli fan when he's got that gel-dunked head, but I was spritzing myself with cold water and peeling off my sweater just watching him!

Anon3:21 Good point, Fac-man probably scared Ana Let enough to not go back there. But her attempt at checking Inaki's place, shows that she did have some initiative to look for him in the only manner she could.

Daisy Aaaaah, you happy danced too?! LOL. I like your ending regarding the tumor. I kinda expect the same, b/c I doubt they'd shave his head. They'll do an ending where they send him off to get surgery and do a "2 years later" leap ahead to see all the mini triplets that all the couples had together.

Miguel LOL, yes 4-year olds! But even adults don't have reliable memories. However, what we've seen so far is consistent and clear. There's simply the matter of filling in the gaps to make things more clear.

TOA You know? I just realized that I've been ignoring Sole's scenes for awhile now. And it wasn't until yesterday that I reached the point where I was forced to listen & get upset. She's the most annoying character after Llora, for me. My keyboard is probably the only exercise equipment I have, so it better overheat lol. *Flaunts her skinny fingers* :P

Tofie Your name always makes my mouth water (I read it like Toffee). That would be interesting. I like stories that don't allow a completely happy ending. I, too, crave a little realism, but we won't be getting that. So far, disappointment is the main motif of this TN (except for last night's Inaki reveal, that was pretty sweet for me).

Carolina Ooh Carolina, that'd be interesting. If we had a whole Sixth Sense ending where we realize that the guy she'll keep hiding in her bedroom is a figment of her crazed mind.

Ria The security of the house would make his reappearance implausible, but it's only 2 cop cars and it's a pretty big house. He could've slipped in from the back. I don't think they're expecting Fac-man to sneak in, they want to catch him on a casual visit. Otherwise, they'd be undercover & not so blatantly exposed.

Carvivlie Yes, I love the integration of the 2 egos! Rulli is doing a superb job! I kinda don't like that the new omnipresence is Tin. Yes he's wormy and slithers on everything, but it's odd that he'd know Fac-man. Unless Fac-man knows of him through Evaristo, and is trying to tie up all the loose ends Ev left so far. Hmm, so should we expect Tin to be the next murder??

Matie You're right. It does undermine them. But I try to remember the admiration Fac-man had for Ev & remarking that he owes him for everything he learned from him. So in a way, that repositions Ev as the teacher, and Fecal as the student. I also laughed at Ana Lu's decision-swap.

Vivi As usual, agree with everything you've said. And I agree that this is the true Marcelo. His good and dark are now combined to make....erm, grey. But it's a pretty shiny grey! And I believe finding out the truth behind Ana Let & killing her off, then having him go through the surgery, and Ana Lu confronting his possible loss will force her to push her doubts aside & begin with him anew. And now I see Carvivlie's comment below yours. Agree, agree, agere to both of you!

Niecie I was glad to see him use his thinking nobbin', too! I can see him and Ghouls coming together to grieve over Inaki, thus repairing her relationship with Tadeo & him (after Inaki's secrets are uncovered).

Julie That's very kind of you, amiga. I'm too self-critical I guess. But I'm happy you guys enjoyed nonetheless :)

TF I'm with you on todo! SoeBad made a few good points, but there was no justifying her actions. No matter how she slices it, I truly believe that Ana Lu was already a well-rounded child to begin with. Her disappearance only amplified the underlying defects in her sisters.

Oh God! For starters I have read you guys for a while. i just don't have much time to comment and I stopped watching it for a while and i picked up recently.
Any who, I only watched like 10 minutes yesterday. Therefore, I am going to watch it on Hulu tonight. I think Ana Leticia's sadness over Inaki was more of her twisted mind getting in the way than her actual feelings. I honestly started feeling bad her, but that is Angelique Boyer's wonderful acting doing the works. Her tio doesn't respond to her affection( eww) and she tried with Marcelo, but I assume he was too boring for her. With Inaki she had the individual attention she wanted. He saw the other triplets, but is head over heels for AnaLoca. Right now all Ana Leticia wants is someone to give her love, because Ana Lucia is back and her husband loves her.
So glad Inaki didn't die. I kind of assumed something like that would have happened.

Anna- What a treat to come back to find your fabulous recap. Superb, as usual.

I like this theory that Inaki might be a figment of AnaLet's active imagination. I lean towards him being alive and real, but being an hallucination would also be fun.

sheislaughter- I think Inaki is the first man she has ever truly let see her with her mask off. He knows she's a murderer, devious, envious, and selfish, and he doesn't care! Marcelo excited her, gave her immense sexual pleasure, and loved her like no other, but she also had to pretend to have some decency in front of him. It was when she started to let her mask slip (by demanding he drop the search for her sister), and when she realized that nothing, not even Marcelo, could stop her yearning for Mariano, that their marriage began to crumble. Inaki also can't quench her thirst for Mariano, but at least she can be her real horrible self in front of him (and the sex obviously isn't bad either).

Ok, I can buy into Inaki being a figment of AneLoon's marbles finally scattering...but hey, he's on screen. I'm still dancing. Character is fun as anything to watch ( and where else can we actually cheer on a bad guy and not feel toooo guilty?)

I was beyond destroying my TV over Soledad last night. I was similiar to Mariano just sitting there watching her self-righteous justification spew out. Loved how his expression just stayed unmoved.

NEVER going to convince me, no matter how many violins play and tears are shed, that she was justified in what she did. Don't care AnaLu's childhood was relatively happy. Noone knows what the dynamic could have been if she got back to her family. The fact the are pairing this woman with Abue leads me to think we have some "oh she was with family all along" story line...I may throw something at that point.

And a redemption for Ghouletta is being set up? WHAT? I can see it, they are going there and she will be all in with Javier as the remaining son. (She's practicing her wind up for future use.)

We always had memories that left key points out or didn't go to fruition. So I guess the accident was one of those. Key point left out was what was on that road or what really made the car flip out of control. AnaLoon's grabbing of the wheel didn't really cause their deaths. But it doesn't get her off the hook for letting her sister slide away, Jenny or arranging other demises or plans.

"That's it right there, Officer. She's driving my car. Here, I have my registration and receipt for my insurance."

Officer: "OK Mr. let me go talk to her."

"Maam, this fellow over here claims you are driving his car. It appears he has the registration proving it is really his car."

SoleBad: "Oh, he is crazy, this is MY car. The flood from Hurricane Matthew swept mine away. But I saw this one and the keys were in it, so I have a different car now. But it IS MY CAR."

Squeeek, Squawwwk..."Dispatch, get me an ambulance and a wrecker over here. And the straight jacket people, I need a couple of those in the ambulance."

Ghoulieta is a nasty piece of work. I hope she isn't redeemed.

Anna thank you so much for this gem! Loved your recap and you never miss a single detail!

"Under Mariano's care under his Just Throw Money At Them Program (Viewerville begins filling out a sign-up form" Done! Where do I submit it! I'll go on the Euro trip if Ana Lu passes.

I agree with you that I don't like the slicked back hair, Rulli is at his best with the flowing locks.

"Then she throws her free get out of jail card back at Mariano, and tells him to hit the boardwalk." Your cleverness delights me!

I knew Inaki couldn't be gone! I like the idea that he could be in Ana Let's head but I doubt that. Inaki knows too much, he is the one person that can bring Ana Let's crimes to light. I do like his character and am rooting for his redemption but at this point, with 2 murders, it's looking like the only way is by exposing Ana Let. Maybe they'll go out together like Thelma and Louise?

Vivi I love your character analysis, I think you got Ana Let's feelings for Inaki completely right. That's how I see it too.

I feel terrible for Ramiro he is going through the worst time and he is all alone. I can't wait for Llora to realize this, that should knock her out of her little tantrum.

Enjoying all of the comments!

Maam, Grand theft auto is pretty serious, do you have an attorney or should the court appoint a public defender?"

SoeBad: "Listen, I don't give a shit what you do, but where did you leave my car?"

Aaaarrrgh

Anna, your recaps are always SO ENTERTAINING! I'm at work sneaking peaks at the blog and I had to cover my mouth and hold the laughter in so I wouldn't make everyone think I was flaming nuts. I loved this part when you said: "A drenched dog sneakingly runs inside behind their backs (Oh silly me, that's just a very wet Ana Let). They go quiet upon seeing a very dry puppy limping over (Oh silly nilly, that's just a very indignant Llora)."

TOA Anonymous: Your depiction of the stolen car sure fits the bill. Sole STILL refers to Ana Lu as HER daughter and keeps justifying what she did with no remorse. That's what makes me really angry. At least if she said she was wrong and would show some kind of repentance, but no, she acts like she had every right to keep Ana Lu. She could have turned her back to her family and even gotten the reward money. Perhaps she could have even made a deal to come visit and be a friend of the family. But no, she decided to keep a child that did not belong to her and call her "daughter".

Now for the big question: How is Fac going to die? I vote for Ramiro to kill him to save Llora's life and be the big hero.

Cynthia, I like the thought of Ramiro saving Llora's life by killing Facundo. My one pause is he feels so guilty for all of the other deaths in his life that I don't want to add another, even totally justified, to his pile.

Thanks, Anna. Terrific recap. Last night's epi was a lot of fun and your recap is a blast.

I can't think of a TN villain I've seen that's as lovable as Iñaki. If it wasn't for his premeditated murder of David, I'd give him a pass. He didn't mean to kill Isidrio. He just lost his head when the rabo verde wouldn't take AnaLe's "No" for an answer.

Great work, Anna!

No redemption for Ana Leticia. She killed once, took out a murder contract on her own husband, is complicit in Inaki's two murders, and is planning to kill Ana Lucia and possibly Viridiana. No way in the world does she get redemption. The best she can get is the manicomio for the rest of her life.

Whether we like it or not, SoleBad will get redemption because she is related to Ernestina and the rest of them. It will be an effort for Ernestina to accept this but she will eventually. Ana Lucia will see to that.

As to the lack of a scar on SantMarc's back, the tattoo was simple and in one color (gray), so laser removal was what he got and that's a relatively simple procedure in this example. It can leave scars, but guys who look like Viking gods usually get a pass on film...

I'll add to my previous comment that this was just sensational Anna. You are amazing!

"Ana Lu had never been far from her blood because Sole is her sister from the same mister" was my hands down favorite but also, I enthusiastically agreed with " (Viewerville offers Ana Lu a few singles to throw at him)". Exactly! :)

Proving that there is a kernel of truth every now and then in utterances from the lips and heart of a murdering liar: "She says that Inaki was a special person, who accepted and understood her better than anyone (me aceptaba como soy, y me entendía mejor que nadie). He was very close to winning her heart". I completely believe that. While I don't think her obsession allows her the luxury to truly love, the feelings she expressed and felt may be the closest possible next best thing.

"Among them, Daniel's belongings, a dried rose from a man she once loved (Tadeo), and a drawing (Inaki's).". Was anyone else puzzled by this? She actually wanted something Tadeo gave her? It seemed that not only any love she ever had for him dissipated long ago, but any kind or loving feelings whatsoever! That really surprised me.

"He flashes back to meeting the dame he assumed was Inaki's sex-client. He realizes that he met his mother after all, his tears well up". Dear, gentle Javier. While my mind refuses to allow any sort of happy ending for the child abandoning Julieta, my heart wants Javier to have some happiness. If that means reconciling with his long lost mother, then so be it. Perhaps it will be balm for his broken heart for the loss of Inaki (which is expected one way or another).

So is he or isn't he? I suspect we will see tonight. If "in the flesh" Inaki should realize that Ana could not have helped him last night...what would she have done? Called a doctor?

Looking forward to seeing more Ana Lu and Marcelo. I think sexy Marcelo is winning the war of wits and I am very pleased.

This was wonderful Anna - thank you!

Diana

The Spanglish world's favorite Banana Nut Desert. You are beyond witty and clever. When semantic scholars come up with an appropriate adjective for you, I'll let you know.

Yes, Diana, I was surprised about the rose too!

I wonder if the setup is Marcelo being the one to take down Facundo. Seems TN appropriate. Marcelo could care two flying figs for his manipulative father and Santi had no memory of him. If Facundo tries to harm Llora or AnaLu, that will give Marcelo in a fight to take him out. Very Greek mythology.

I don't want Ram doing it. I know he has one confrontation under his belt, but this is one time, unless it is Llora, that it just doesn't seem the best way to take the head villian out. If that's the only way to shut Llora up and win back the girl...I cry foul. Now, do I see Ram making taking out TIN as Llora discovers what a nutjob he really is, then that I could go with.

Of course, seeing AnaLoon losing her grip and everything crashing down, maybe she is the sacrificial lamb to take Fac out and she dies doing it. At least there is a sister redemption for them with all her evil, it will look like she saved her sisters. Something for the family to wrap their heads around to ease her betrayals while they pour tea for new family member Soledad.

Yuk ! Daisy there is just something nauseous about "New family member Soledad". If they all survive, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas should be fun. Oops, maybe not Thanksgiving, that is prob a Gringo thing. OK, Halloween anyway.

Screenshots are up, and yay more comments!

Really struggled finding some good shots. Other than Inaki's return and Ana Lu's scopophilia between her fingers, this epi was the least inspiring for some reason. Or maybe, I've reached the culmination of getting burnt-out? Hopefully, the rest of this week gives us bigger excitement!! :)

On to the comments...

I'd rather see Ana Loon in a manicomio. Death is too easy a way out for her.

sheislaughter Welcome! Always love meeting a fresh face! And yes, Ana Leticia seems to be more tame when she's loved and adored. Unfortunately, she's a murderer which means a BIG ANVIL with her lipstick on it. So even if she eventually dies, for Inaki's sake, I'd like them to have an ending that allows them to both walk into the hellfire together.

Vivi Oh how I love your analogy of the slipped mask. That's very much how I see it. With him she can be vulnerable, bare, real, and uninhibited. I think her love for Mariano may stem from him being her sole male protector after a traumatizing accident. Inaki protects her (unlike Marc) and also loves her back (unlike her uncle). But if she's a narcissist, she may not truly ever find love with anyone.

Daisy Agree with all your points. I did notice Mariano's unmoved face, but I thought he was caught in her beady eyes. Did you notice they got blacker as she got more furious? Scary. Ooh read your other comment, love those scenarios. Although, I'd prefer Ana Let get a real anvil, it might help the family to move on if they weren't plagued by her memory as an evil wench. Then again, her being evil might bring Ana Lu & SanMarc closer. YES, It definitely has to be Marc that eliminates Fac, and Ram that eliminates Tin.

TOA Haha, she might even tell the cop "I SAVED that car, and did all the maintenance on it. There's no way this car would've turned out as good with anyone else".

Carvivlie Me too, I'd like Ram to be in touch with his dark side and do what's necessary. And he does, when push comes to shove. But like you said, it sucks that he carries so much guilt. I want to just lift the weight off his shoulders, and tell him to go after Tio's secretary or somebody.

Urban Agree on your list of redeemables and non-redeemables. There was a scar surprisingly on his back. I thought it was dirt on my tv screen, but I got a computer screenshot & it looks like he actually was left with a blemish. Good job on the director for keeping it real. As for the writers....

Diana It surprised me too. I had to rewind a few times to make sure, but Tadeo has always given her roses and even though she told Inaki she never loved his father, I think it was an excuse for why she really left him (for money). She did love him, but it simply wasn't enough. That definitely makes her abandonment much worse, though.

Anon2:25 LOL, thank you! And yes bananas and nutty are perfectly correct as adjectives. No need to add to that list! :D

"I call it 'surprise adoption'" hahahaha!!

OK, so the tattoo removal did leave a mark. It just didn't look like anything on my screen. Even in the screen cap, it's pretty subtle. I was expecting an angry red welt.

TOA Anonymous: I don't think Mexicans celebrate Thanksgiving or Halloween, but Dia de los Muertos is very high on their list.

Most cultures have a harvest-themed holiday; all immigrants eventually celebrate Thanksgiving here.

But... here is something for Dia de los Muertos.

Urban, that is AWESOME.

I made it as a work of art (I'm not Catholic), but several people said I probably could get some serious money for it. The skull beads are not that expensive, but I can't get crosses like that one anymore.

Oh Crap ! You MADE that? You are the daughter of Satan. Skilled, though.

:-)

toa

Urban: Wow, that's great! A friend of mine is really into Dia de los Muertos and does a lot of artwork for it. She has that stuff all over her house. She told me that the holiday was the human approach to stop what the Aztecs were doing, human sacrifice. The Spanish missionaries were horrified that the Aztecs were involved in human sacrifice so they were able to devise an alternative so that humans would not be sacrificed again. The missionaries made figures out of paper mache and those would be burned instead of bodies at the alter.

Just kidding, I hope you know Ms. Ant.

So whether Inakenstein is real or imagined, what will AnaLetMeFreakOut do with him? He can't just live there in her room, and there is that little messy bullet thingy too.

Does she try to sneak him out disguised as the family poodle and take him to the vet?
Does she try to keep him alive under her bed till Halloween and then mix him in with the trick or treaters so he can escape?

Does she march him downstairs and introduce him as her new boyfriend, that she met at WWF Smackdown?

I mean this little witch has more fires to put out than California. This is getting fun.

I hope he didn't drive that snazzy little car like that, it will never come clean.

toa

I hope all you girls watched Inaki on Salt and Pepper tonight

Little Japanese shirt and Pennzoil hairdo. He looked a LOT like Pennz.

Anna, you never fail to make me laugh. Especially with surprise adoption caption with Sole's pic - hilarious. Awesome recap too - thanks!

Urban, this looks GREAT! You have some serious talent, my friend.
