Tres Veces Ana #118 - Por Fin, Proof Under the Hot Tin Roof

Color Guide:
Rehash and Recall in Red
Reader Reaction in Blue
Avances in Green
Aside in Purple

Rehash: Valentin is still recounting the tale behind Gina's death. Gina's attempting to convince AnaLet that nobody knows about her relationship with her uncle. AnaLet throws the bottles at Gina expecting her to swallow each pill.

Ramiro interrupts this scheduled flashback to bring us his unasked opinion. He thinks eureka, it was AnaLet! Tin has attained omnipatience, and calmly answers that no, he had intervened. And at this, we see the tranformer disassemble from his wheels, into a two-legged mop.

Do you wanna hear a bedtime story?

We're sucked into a flashion-back and zoom unto some legs. AnaLet and Gina are both wearing suede heels with an ankle strap. Our next model down the runway is wearing kicks, and apparently he brought boinks as an accessory, because down our first model goes. He gives our second model an over-the-shoulder look, in only the way someone of Charlize Theron's caliber could.

In real life, our mop-head is strutting his stuff over to his new throne. He sits postured for Ramiro to admire. Ram is dumbfounded. He tells Ram he'd planned it since Gina abandoned him in that hospital. He then gives Ram the same Charlize Theron neck twist that would make any spine doctor tremble. Ram says that this is impossible. (Viewerville agrees, we think maybe Tin is secretly an owl).

Y'know, you paid too much for those glasses.

The doctors said he'd never walk again, but Tin was offered a spinal surgery that cured him. He was alone healing, while she was off with his money having a “banging” good time with Mariano. And if he can't have her, nobody will. He chokes her and drops her into a magically-filled bath.

Who lives in a pun-apple under the sea?

Recap: Tin claims he did Ram a favor, because he'd be married to Gina right now (Mmn no, he loved Ana Laura). Ram denies this, which sends an exasperated Tin to admit he'd exposed Gina in Marcelo's investigation. He planned her demise flawlessly. Nobody would suspect a paralytic, and she'd written a goodbye note, so it was the perfect set-up. Tin is heading out, so he leaves him in the care of the guard who will attend to feeding him, burping him, and changing his diaper. Tin clearly doesn't want to clean up after his new puppy. Especially, since Ram then makes the face of a child that is going boo-boo on himself. Ram offers himself up for revenge, but pleads he not harm Ana Laura. Tin admits he initially meant to use her, but he's torn between her giving him new life or her harm leading to his enemies' ultimate suffering.

Making that paper rain on ya

Remedios asked AnaLet, out to lunch, to let her know Solebad wants to see her. AnaLet wants to know why Rem has been complacent about her godson living back with her sister. And if she refuses to evict her godson, then she should evict AnaLu. Rem refuses to abandon either one.

I asked Rem about getting visiting hours,
not visiting hores

She's off to see Sole who speaks to her with informal “tutearias”. AnaLet ain't having that, they're not the same. Sole hems and haws until AnaLet tells her to cut to the chase. She asks her to forgive AnaLu. But AnaLet has other plans, because she intends to get her completely out of their lives. With the squish of a finger, she'll make her regret ever being found. Sole insists her daughter is decent, but AnaLet opens a dictionary to show that "home-wrecker" is the word she's looking for. (Viewerville notices AnaLet's name right above that, next to the word “Hoebag”). She mentions Isidro and the way he mistook her for AnaLu. His indecent treatment and story-telling was enough to convince her that AnaLu was the town hooker. Sole doesn't buy it, the man was loco puffs. AnaLet has no reason to consider AnaLu since she herself wasn't considered, so she plans to expose this hussy to the world. Sole is shaken, frozen, not stirred. (Viewerville ponders going as Margaritaville for Halloween).

Pop, Squish, Si-Cero, Lipshitz

Valeria tries to convince Erne that Sole is a good person, who knows she made a mistake. Leo disagrees, but Erne is starting to have doubts. AnaLu wouldn't love her if Sole didn't do right by her. Erne respects Leo's opinion, because she's her sister—Valeria looks stunned—but Leo tells her that there's no forgiveness for this. Later, as Leo tucks Erne in bed, they discuss finding their sister. Leo thinks they should prioritize AnaLu, but Erne says she already found her. She's the daughter of Margerita Hernandez, Soledad, the same woman who brought up AnaLu...Lu..Lu..Lu! (That's supposed to be an echo, did that not come off?). Leo looks like someone stole her knitting.

Valeria's attempts at "Sole" saving

AnaLu is impatient to leave Uncletown, she's self-conscious of how them coming together must appear. Marcelo tells her he talked to him, and unlike Santiago, he chooses to fight for her. They inch closer as they talk. AnaLet denied his claims, but AnaLu doesn't doubt him. Some hand-holding romance stuff. She asks to speak to her love, Santi. Marc gazes into her eyes to ask if she loves her some Marco. Her eyes say “My favorite recipe is Marc-aroni & Cheeze”. He gives her a mouthful of just that. (Viewerville smack their lips, huddled around their TVs like hobos at a soup kitchen, spoon-ready for Marc-spaghetti).

Her eyes say "Marco".
His say "Poloer, um...AnaLu"

Mariano doesn't want Ana Laura leaving like this, but she's upset at the man she once admired. He regrets his mistakes, he got the girls when he was 20 and he became lost. (Viewerville thinks being a dad kills the wanger, not the other way around). She says this isn't a love problem, it's a respect problem and she needs time. She leaves. He flashes back to Tin's work injury:

Gina wanted him to drop it like it's hot

Gina is there for some reason, and says they have the perfect opportunity. She knocks the ladder out from under Tin and gets 7 years bad luck. As the workers rush in to help, she starts yelling at Mariano at what he supposedly had done. Mariano is impactado. (What a witch!)

Nerina and Rem, overjoyed, welcome the trio to the pension. Nerina is sure Tin will be excited. Ana Laura's smile quickly fades. AnaLu senses her sister's awkwardness and offers to get her settled in. In contrast to Ana Let, Ana Laura admires her new quarters. They chat about how things went with AnaLet, and Ana Laura thinks they were too tough. AnaLu has the good sense to know that Ms. Loca ain't right. Ana Laura continues to defend her. (Viewerville feels the comings on of a migraine).

Inaki teaches us how to deal
with a TN headache

AnaLet is sick, she only pretends to be strong, and even though she hires hitmen, she's really a good person. AnaLu calls B.S. on that. Ana Laura calls B.S. on Marc (Viewerville calls for B.S. to descend on her head). She doesn't trust him or Ram. AnaLu confesses that Santicelo did try to break up with her, it was she who sought him out. She's not a bad person, she's just channeling Olivia Newton John aka she's hopelessly in love. Ana Laura switches tactics and blames todo on Ramiro. The rift between the sisters is his fault. (Right, AnaLet's charging and arm swinging gets no blame). She plans to have the 3 of them reconcile. (Checks the tv guide to make sure this isn't actually called Tres Veces Anatomically Brainless). They swap trauma tales. AnaLu had her kidnapping, Ana Laura had her injury, and Ana Let suffered with guilt. AnaLu only remembers hanging out of the car, and AnaLet shooting her off with a laser gaze.

AnaLet always wanted to make the front page news

AnaLet is doing the Me-Me-Me stomp around her bedroom, and growls when the phone rings. Inaki urges her to come over his place quickly. He later flings her inside, after waiting for an hour, and drops today's paper on her lap. She reads about the discovery of Isidro's body, and suspicion of extortion. But AnaLet isn't worried, they have no suspects. He wants to run away, but she'd rather deal with the problem of Ana Laura living with her uncle. Inaki quickly catches on to her attachment as lust for her Tio. Ranting, she exposes herself, and threatens him. He teases her with his own threats, and they get hot and bothered over it. Inaki thinks it's time she cooled off, so he hoses her down. No, not the gardener hose, the pantyhose she decided to wear for a dress. He even carries her to the bedroom like a mannequin.

Oh y'know, just walking my dog

Mariano is getting inTINmate with his liquor bottle. He flashes back to both Viri and Marc's adumbrations of Ana Lecherous' feelings for him. Our favorite escort, Clawdia, shows up with a McDonald's sign on her forehead that says “More than a billion served”. He's completely drunk, vulnerable, and desperately needs her. She tells him she's willing to give him 1,001 A-Rape-ian nights.

Drive-thru happy meal? Viewerville's not lovin' it.

They stumble off to the recámara, with bottle in hand, and start to make sloppy. Clear the children out of the room, or cover your joven's eyes, because it's about to get weird. Clawdia begins looking very cloudy-uh, and he starts seeing the Ghost of Rated X-Miss Past. (Viewerville pauses to jot down the bottle brand for our own future prevention). He pushes the illusion of Ana Let off, calling this an abomination, and disgusting. Clawd is offended and promises he'll regret it, as he boots her out. He topples backwards on his bed, and misses. He cries, collapsed on the floor.

Oh shittake mushrooms!

AnaLu makes an announcement to the pension that she'd like the same hospitality they showed her to be extended to her sister. Maribel has the same “Aw sh!t” expression my kitty makes when he's in big trouble. Tadeo welcomes Ana Laura to the family. Ana Laura thanks Mr. Tadeo, and Maribel mockingly chuckles at her title for him. But just as soon as Ana Laura unloaded her baggage, Tin rolls up. By the looks of her face, this isn't the the kind of baggage she'd hoped to follow her. He entreaties his Leg-o-Lass to count on him as a friend despite his mistakes.

The facial descent of dissent

Later, Marc interrupts Rem and Tin's chat outside, while Bel & Javi dance on silks. He warns that there are fake people who are only kind when it suits them. Rem sees light and dark in everyone, and it's which one we choose to obey that is our true self. Marc takes Tin to talk, he pushes the wheelchair like my mother pushes her shopping cart. Bel and Javi look at each other like “Where's the shopping spree?” Curvas drops them off to a secluded area. Tin begs Curvas not to leave him there. Curvas is worried, but Marc tells him to wait there and not to intervene no matter what he sees.

The 1800s called, and on second thought,
they DON'T want their fashion back

Leo enters the devil's quarters, with good mornings that AnaLet shoves back in her mouth. There's a surprise waiting downstairs, and out of curiosity she goes down to see. It's a scene out of Little Women, with wardrobe to boot. Erne waits at the bottom of the stairs, with AnaLu and Ana Laura expecting her. Ana Let, basks in the glow of their attention and gives them her winning-iest of smiles. (Viewerville only sees Chucky).

When someone calls you dollface, and you're
not sure if they meant it as a compliment

Aside: Btw, I have a theory that the real star of the show is the one whose name is the only one in CAPS in the intro. Yes, somebody in editing is either a real fan of David Zepeda, or David slipped into the studio after hours for a little ego session.

Viewerville I give you,
his star-studded studliness!

Avances: Not an avances, but everything we've already seen. You can't just spoiler us in the last week, and not continue to give us the goods!! Da fook is this?

~Ban-Boozled

I believe, my dear readers, that this is my last recap. It's been a long journey, folks. You've been a great audience. I'm not gonna rhyme or rap, but I will take my top off ...

*Unscrews the top cap of her pen*.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed that. There's not too many people I'd do that for, I happen to like things screwed. Speaking of screwed up things, this episode needs discussing. Lay your thoughts down, lend us your theories. Give me your tired, your poor beanies. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free of these plots, upon which the wretched refuse of nefarzos shall never stop. Arghh... fah mucker, I rhymed!

Looking forward to deciphering another Banana desert.

Well, Well, Well, it appears that Vin Tin Tin has managed to maneuver his Wheelie Chair into a slight little bittie, teenie mess. Reminiscent of a frog crossing an LA freeway. Mr. Marcelo of the short temper and even shorter patience for turds has hauled your turdness out into the jungle for a chat.

Valerie, we will call you, cause the boys have probably already fallen off out of fear, these do not end well. Um...there are usually a greater number of starters than finishers. Ya shoulda wacked Rambo, it is too late now. If you miraculously make it out of here alive, you can count on the TN Gods or Marcelo having freed Rambo by then.....and it will suck to be you. I just hope they do not feel sorry for your non-crippled ass and do it quick.

Wha hoppen to TIO? Claw had to be thinking that as she got dressed in her car.

And after one thousand three hundred forty-seven posts wondering "Who Killed Gina?", now we know. Whew!

"HOLY HYPODERMIC! ” Batman had better find Ramiro rapido! I don’t like the man in the suit (probably the Dr. who first injected Ramiro with the numbing agent) hovering over him.
I enjoyed watching Marcelo manhandle Valentin’s wheelchair. Wonder what he has in mind for Tin Tin-maybe he somehow realized Ramiro is missing and suspects Valentine is behind it. He’s out to find his friend one way or another! It worries me that AnaLaura and Tin Tin are both staying at the pension. I’m afraid Valentin will kidnap her, too.
It looks like our Robin won’t be any help. He’s in shock from the realization that what Viri and Marcelo told him about Analet being in lust for him is true.
Speaking of AnaLet, she was certainly stirring up mischief! It looked like Soledad was frightened by what she told her, but, I think Rem held her own. Can’t wait to hear what she said to them. Looking forward to your recap.
“HOLYSMOKES” Hurry, Batman! Time is running out for Ramiro..

Toa, with all due respect... what are you talking about?

And Llora keeps justifying AnaLet no matter what. It's beyond comprehension. And she keeps quiet, doesn't tell anyone that her sister is completely OUT OF CONTROL!
Soledad begging, after Analet revealed herself as the monster she truly is?

Yes, same here. Is Batman Marcelo?

Remember that China said that Ramiro would be the catalyst for Marcelo and Ana Lucia to get back together?
I hope this doesn't involve Ramiro getting killed during a rescue.

I doubt it though. Not a spoiler, because as most of you know, I don't read the final chapter of a book before beginning to read Chapter 1.
So I think we will see a double wedding!

I just hope there won't be any more kidnappings after Ramiro. It bores me how most telenovelas have their leads kidnapped in the final episode.

FINALLY: , tío Mariano is thinking about what Viridiana and Marcelo told him about Ana Leticia and her erotic intentions towards him. Best scene of the night was him seeing Ana Leticia as his lover in his drunkeness and his reaction.

Loved Ana Leticia's on-again off-again snaky earrings.

Thanks, ANna for another snappy recap.

Well, it looks as though UNcke has finally had an epiphany as CLaw morphs into ANaletme.

I was very impressed by Inaki's onearmed carry of ANaletmedistractyou despite the gunshot wound. Oh. My.

Sending out this tune to Ramiro from your bro Marciago..."Hold on, I'm Coming" by San and Dave.

Perfect episode to get an Anna recap. Really looking forward to it!

Anyone else hoping that Marcelo was going to grab that wheelchair and just dump Tin out as soon as he walked up to him?

AnaLoon is turning into pure viper and I wonder who gets her venom before she's finally either reigned in or just loses it. That ending had me twitching though and my fondest wish is her cheery face, thinking her Abue and sisters are all about being lovey, actually call her on her antics. But that won't happen I'm sure.

Inaki is so hard to read. IN one second it seems he's not buying anything AnaLoon is trying to sell, and then she turns on the "charm" and there we go ( but gees those two! Steam coming out of the TV). I think we can surmise he's a dead man walking, but I'm at a loss how his story ends anymore.

Great scene with Mariano. But gees, another person that can just walk in a house? Did I miss where she actually rang a doorbell and someone answered?

>>But that won't happen I'm sure.
but when the eff is it going to happen? In the last 10 minutes? that's one of the worst things about telenovelas. AnaLet should've been fully unmasked by now, and spent the last week openly trying to destroy her sisters. No more friendly facade. Let the crazy out, 5 out of 121 episodes, not just 1!

Anna, really, really looking forward to your recap!"*Unscrews the top cap of her pen*" made me laugh out loud! Gracias.

"HOLY HYPODERMIC! ” Batman had better find Ramiro rapido! I don’t like the man in the suit (probably the Dr. who first injected Ramiro with the numbing agent) hovering over him". Exactly Virginia! I was so on the edge waiting for that dreaded hypodermic to make an appearance, I could hardly pay attention to what was transpiring.

Jarifa, while I agree that the mind-numbing reality that his niece desires him was great, there was one other scene that had me in sheer amazement. "I was very impressed by Inaki's one armed carry of ANaletmedistractyou despite the gunshot wound. Oh. My". Yup, Susanlynn. He picked her up as though she were a feather. Combustible chemistry. While Angelique has had to kiss a few toads in this, she certainly has had her share of princes. Inaki...sigh.

daisy, I don't know how Inaki's story will play out either. I do not want anything to happen to him!!

Enjoyed everyone's comments this morning.

Diana

You just gotta Luuuurrrrve Valentin. These sweet expressions of eternal(For real) love get me every time. "If I can't have you, nobody will." Blub blub blu...

Must not have been a dry eye on the patio....Ha

So is Marcelo going to beat the whereabouts of his buddy Ram out of Vin Tin Tin and go rescue him? Before he dispatches him to visit Ratmundo and his Samsung..that was a stroke of comic genius...does he drag him over to let AnaLaurdIWillBelieveAnything see him walking? He has too. I wonder, what will it take for AnaLLora to see the truth?

AnaLetMeHelpYouMurderHim and Inaki are sweating with the popo finding Iskidrow's body. But the witness is dead, probably along with his phone full of evidence. Does Java still have his copy?

Ay Yai yai, a thousand questions, and four episodes.

toa

"one armed carry of AnaLet..." probably especially fun with Rulli sighing and snorting just off camera.

Kirby, does Marcelo realize Ramiro is missing?

Not sure how much time has elapsed since Ramiro's crying at the bar which is when Marcelo last saw him.

Diana

I just don't get this novela and some of its characters. AnaLora and AnaLucia know that AnaMeME hired someone to kill Marcelo and they think that their love can heal her and that she is normal. In what world do they live in??? Hello if she can hire someone to kill the "love of her life" what makes them think that she won't do the same to them. Then we have a "humbled" (sarcasm intended) Solebad pleading for AnaMeMe to accept her sister. Ummm she a few episodes ago saying the AnaMeMe was evil and that Tio didn't raise her right. So why in the hell would you beg her, it makes no sense to me. Why is it that the supposed good "guys" in novelas are sometimes the most stupid and naive. Ugh it drives me crazy, let get a clue!

Diana, not that I know of. I believe his current interest in Valentin had only to do with the blowup at Mariano's. It appears to be about two days, but I do not have anything concrete to base that on. Given that Ramiro is still in mourning, if you will, it is surprising he can disappear for this long unmissed.

OTOH, if the black and white flashbacks can be believed, we saw Gina push the ladder Valentin was on causing it to fall, resulting in his (temporary) paralysis. Has not Vin Tin Tin always blamed Mariano? Mariano paid his bills, etc.etc. All Valentin's supposed reasons for hating various people are evaporating one by one. Um..did I doze off?

t

Anna- Looking forward to it!

I believe the guy in the suit injecting Ramiro was the henchman Fac left behind to help Valentin. I also don't think Marcelo realizes Ramiro is missing. He's just settling scores with Tin and/or trying to figure out what the sneaky weasel is up to. Let's hope Tin drops him a clue about Ram.

I feel so sorry for Ram. Not only does no one know where he is, no one seems to care. And the only person who even mentions his name is Ana Laura, to badmouth him to Ana Lucia! Even after she now knows that everything FauxAnaLu said was a lie. And AnaLu let her badmouth him! She doesn't even mention what a good friend he was to her and how he tried to help Marcelo when he was a befuddled and confused Santi. With friends like these, I recommend Ram go far away and start over elsewhere when he gets free.

Anon 8:40- Amen. Ramiro told Remedios outright that AnaLet is an evil liar, yet she's all surprised when AnaLet shows her true colors. Soledad knows firsthand that she's evil, and begs her to hold hands with AnaLu and sing Cumbaya! Makes no sense. But AnaLlora trying to convince AnaLu that it's Marcelo, and not AnaLet, lying about the murder attempt, and AnaLu considering it, takes the cake for stupidity!

Anonymous @ 8:40. In traditional Japanese puppetry, the puppeteers are actually in plain sight on stage. I believe it is called Bunraku or something like that. A cooperative audience does not 'see' the puppeteers for the sake of the art.

We TN watchers are in a similar boat. We accept behavior which has no other explanation aside from plot convenience. I believe some of the anomalies of life we see as normal in TNs are simply there to remind us that it ID in fact a TN. To Wit:

A. TN girls are incredibly fertile. "Uh Oh, he accidentally peeed on her foot, she's preggers."
B. The unexplained pandemic in Latin America of untreated brain tumors.
C. Nobody closes doors, and there is always an uninvited pair of ears right outside.

There are many more, but I am sure you get the picture. But all in all this is still more fun than a root canal. :-) Kirbo

Thank you, Anna, for setting up the recap with your usual flair (another pen pun?). Looking forward to it.

So it looks like Mariano is beginning to see what others have told him. Inaki mentioned it tonight and AnaLeticia confessed it to Valentin, so with Viridiana and Marceo quite a circle of people are onto AnaLe's obsession with Mariano.

And we know now that Valentin killed Gina and that Gina caused the accident.

Ernestina is both softening toward Soledad and acknowledging that she and Leonor have met their sister.

That all seems like progress as we approaching the remaining three episodes.

Now for Ramiro to be rescued, AnaLeticia to be fully unmasked and held responsible for a lot of killing and AnaLaura to come down from the clouds. Inaki's and Javier's relationship with Julieta to be resolved one way or another and Soledad to be incorporated into the family. Viridiana and Mariano reunited and Ernestina and Rodrigo united. And then there is bringing down Facundo's. That is a lot! These are going to be a rollicking "triplet" of episodes.

ID = is

Thank you Kirby and Vivi. I'm disheartened though because if no one realizes you are missing, no one will go searching for you.

Kirby, the fact that no one is aware Ramiro is missing speaks volumes. He has been consistently the most kind, caring and staunchest, loyal friend. It is so sad that no one has caught on he is gone and may be in harm's way. Marcelo may be more concerned now about the Ana's (as well he should be) but I was pleased to see the petulant down turning of Ana Laura's mouth when Valentin appeared. Oh Nerina. You know not what you do and of what you speak.

Vivi, Ramiro does have Marcelo's friendship - at least one thing. I would love him to break up with Ana Laura but I don't think that will happen.

I really can't endure another night of needles.

Oh and I'm sure everyone remembers but this is airing earlier due to the debate tonight 8 eastern.

Diana

We still have the PI agency consisting of Fat Boy taxi driver, Marky and Rambo to work their first case, and THE BRAIN T U M O R ..Tadeo and Nerina, ......Um...

Oh shint. Brain lock. I know there are many more loose ends.

toa

Ramiro has been through thick and thin, THE good guy. A devoted friend, a loyal loving boyfriend, a solver of mysteries, ...is this an eulogy.......kind, considerate, forgiving when he has been wronged, compared to most of these others, a saint. I agree that if he can ever wriggle out of this mess, go far, far, away and learn English.

Thanks for reminder about early viewing tonight, Diana. That means four more episodes.

Can't wait for your take on this, Anna.

So now that we know that Gina caused Valentin's accident and he killed her in revenge, we must conclude that he is mentally ill. His attempts at blaming Mariano, Ramiro, or anyone else were self-delusions and for others they were distractions.

Nobody except Evaristo and/or his offspring was responsible for Gina being the grifter she was. She made those choices. She knew the difference between right and wrong. I don't know whether I buy Ev's apparent remorse about what she became, but she was one of the worst in the lot. Valentin should be castigating himself for falling for her, but he wasn't a whole lot better in view of what he and Clawdia did to Nerina. That revelation will really break Nerina's heart.

I'm not surprised that Mariano's epiphany about Ana Leticia came when he was drunk. His guard was down and he had no defense against the truth of what others have said to him. The scene with Clawdia/Ana MeMeME was perfection. Clawdia retreated, presumably for the last time. The deck is cleared for Viri.

More later.

Looking forward to the recap Anna!

A lot of last night seemed like filler to me which is soooo disappointing considering we have 4 more episodes.

The scene between Sole and AnaLet felt like filler but then I wondered if maybe Ernie gets Sole out and Sole, now knowing that AnaLu is in danger from AnaLet, dies saving her life. That would be a fitting end for Sole to me. I just can't see her living happily with Ernie and Leonor, or fitting in in any way now.

So will our hunky Mariano ever use his hot body for sex again after these AnaLet nightmares?! I was disappointed that our last possible sex scene with him had no shirt removal ;)

Agree that Inaki twists a mile a minute. He seems to have gotten over his triste for killing his brother. I guess going to jail for another murder is higher up on his priorities, but not too high as to not roll in the hay with AnaLet.

More secrets should be coming fast and furious now. I don't want to have AnaLet exposed of everything in the final hour. Do we know yet if the finale is two hours?

So Val murdered Gina after Gina basically tried to murder/hurt him. Fair play. Glad Mariano is completely innocent in that.

I still don't understand why Val has Ramiro. Maybe that will be cleared up in the recap. Is he just keeping him out of the way as he makes his play for AnaLaura? Extreme to say the least.

I think Valentin is determined not to lose again. However, did he ever think about whether he would be able to hide his mobility status forever from Ana Laura or was he planning to kill her within a year or two to claim her inheritance?

I think the latter. All the lies he has told, the complicity with Ana MeMeME, and the attempt at isolating her speaks of massive disrespect and escalating abuse. His anvil can't be too heavy.

Carlos de la Mota and definitely Angelique Boyer should win every award possible. Her representation of each of the 3 is astounding.

Victoria, may I add Pedro Moreno to your list?

And no, I'm not asking because the man is hawt. Which he is. But I think he's given an excellent performance of a tortured soul who is determined to survive at any cost. Gives "street smart" a whole 'nother meaning.

Diana

Thanks, Anna. It’s been a lot of fun reading your recaps. Looking forward to your last one.

On Clawdia just walking in, Mariano was so upset about the nieces leaving him that he neglected to close that gigantic door. Clawdia said “your door was ajar” when she walked in – I give the writers credit for at least putting that in. I'm not so sure now that Viri will end up with Mariano. He's a mess.

I recommend Ram go far away and start over elsewhere when he gets free.

Vivi and others, amen to that. What gets me most about Ana Laura is she blames everybody else. “Ramiro, you should’ve told me you’d found my sister.” Why didn’t she go out searching for her sister her own damn self? Asking grandma if it was alright to sleep with her fiancé. Not driving a car, even though Tío had taught her, until she got fed up with everybody. She needs to own up to her own role in having folks treat her like she was 12.

Wow, lots of comments here you guys. I'll join the lively discussion later after I've read it. Recap is posted, but will probably be edited down b/c it's just too long. Or I may just skip the spanish lesson today.

I have been loving this show. It's been the best kind of soap opera, where everyone is tied to each everyone else and each action has multiple ripples throughout the story. The coincidences and near misses have been too great to be believable, but they've been enjoyable. I'm hoping the finale doesn't disappoint me like it did with LQLVMR. I agree with Miguel above that TNs usually leave too much for the last episode. I don't get why since high ratings won't bring increased revenue because there are no more episodes for that. My favorite characters have been Ana Leticia and Inaki, and I hope for them to drive off together into the sunset, but I know soap karma is dictating something more like a fiery car crash together.

I don't get why Valentin is so driven for revenge on Ramiro. Maybe it's simple that he's psycho. This part for this actor has been more interesting than what I've seen him play in the past. I am so bored with hearing about Gina. And all this criminal intrigue has felt pointless to me. I think the psychological story about the 3 women would have been enough. But the media seems to think we need a lot of violence to keep our interest. I think it's unfortunate that TNs typically end with so much violence rather than spending the time on character interaction and story resolution.

Please don't let them make 2 or 3 endings

Anna - What a funny and smart recap! You have gone out with your usual panache.

I am torn between "the MeMeMe stomp" and Viewerville seeing only Chucky in that last Little Women-esque scene as my favorites among many zingers. I loved that strappy high-heeled shoe scene when Claudia and AnaLeticia were battling over the pills.

Thanks for all of your funny and fun work on this novela. Looking forward to the concluding few episodes.

Anna, terrific title and recap. Your enthusiasm for the show always shines through. Some of my favorites:

Tin clearly doesn't want to clean up after his new puppy. -- ouch!

Her eyes say “My favorite recipe is Marc-aroni & Cheeze”.

Mariano is getting inTINmate with his liquor bottle.

It's a scene out of Little Women, with wardrobe to boot.

It would've been funny (not to Mariano though) if Clawdia had let him know that she too is on to Ana Leticia's yen for him. Poor thing in her tiny black undies being called "disgusting."

I sure hope tonight Facundo's goons finally tell Ramiro what they want from him.

I haven't read the recap yet - I've just caught up with the comments.

Miguel: "It bores me how most telenovelas have their leads kidnapped in the final episode." Yeah. It's old!

But Valentin has been boring me. Not the actor's portrayal - that's been amazing. But setting up Val as the mastermind behind everything is just annoying, especially since we had already accepted Ev as the mastermind.

Hi Bill!

Great work, Anna! My faves:

She mentions Isidro and the way he mistook her for AnaLu. His indecent treatment and story-telling was enough to convince her that AnaLu was the town hooker. Sole doesn't buy it, the man was loco puffs. AnaLet has no reason to consider AnaLu since she herself wasn't considered, so she plans to expose this hussy to the world. Sole is shaken, frozen, not stirred.

Our favorite escort, Clawdia, shows up with a McDonald's sign on her forehead that says “More than a billion served”.

Ghost of Rated X-Miss Past

Victoria, I couldn't agree more. This tendency lately is a lack of commitment to a specific ending which leads to a poorly-written finale.

Ana Leticia can't get away with her crimes, nor can Inaki, Facundo, or Valentin. SoleBad probably will, but I'm guessing she will be in the slammer until the last episode. Ghoulieta will pay with her conscience when she finds out that Inaki killed Daniel.

It's a relief that Mariano isn't guilty of murder, but he will probably wonder for a long time whether anything he did contributed to Gina's death.

Oilando's cell phone will probably be found and examined. I wonder whether cell phone records keep track of the sending of images/videos and whether that can lead to Javier's cell phone.

I do hope that Ana MeMeME and Inaki don't do a Thelma and Louise ending. That's been done in two novelas I remember and I don't want the writers to get that lazy again.

I think AnaLet will double cross Inaki and he will die, intentionally or unintentionally, but not before spilling her secrets.

My main concern is that all of the secrets come out. Sometimes there are ones that the writers seem to forget or just don't have the time to reveal. I can see Oily's death never been revealed because there is no one who cares. The fact that his cell phone hasn't been discovered is worrisome too.

Oh Anna, what a perfect specimen for your final TVA recap. Bonus points for noticing Zepeda is in all caps. I never noticed that!

I confess, I nodded off several times during this episode because of all the talking. Why were all these people (Rem, Sole) wasting their breath talking to AnaLet? Her replies were pretty much as I expected, so there was nothing to hold my interest. If these kinds of scenes are truly necessary to provide closure or something, I wish they'd be much shorter. zzzzzzz.

One thing I did not sleep through was Mariano's creepy encounter with Clawdia and AnaLetMeTouchYouInappropriately. Ugh. So he gets to have his revelation without her actually making a real move on him? I'm both disappointed and relieved.

It was a cheat before when they showed us Tin's accident and did NOT show that Gina did it. I realize it was done that way to show us Tin's point of view, that he didn't know Gina had done it. But really the only reason we're being surprised by most of the big reveals at this point is because every single clue was deliberately withheld. Annoying.

Anna, your recaps are always so good and entertaining, really revs up my middle of the week to look forward to the weekend. Keeps me laughing for sure. Loved where you said, “But viewerville only sees Chucky.” Yeah Ana Let was smiling a lot like Chucky’s evil smile. LOL…

The scene with Mariano and call girl Claw-dia was interesting. As he in his drunken stupor visualized Ana Let, he became enraged and said something about how she disgusted him. Of course Claw-dia didn’t know what was up, I’m just glad that she left in a hurry.

I am wondering if Ana Llora now does not want to stay at the Pension now that she knows Tin-Tin is there? As soon as she saw him, she looked like a wave nausea came over her. So where did Marcelo take Tin-Tin? They look like they are in the middle of nowhere. Bu is it actually the front yard of Fac’s cabin where Ramiro is? Just wondering….what does everyone think?

Thank you for the recap Anna N.

Ithabill- I would also love for AnaLet and Inaki to run away together. They are so captivating, thoes two.

I know that Ana Leticia is a character that drives most people up the wall, but I don't care. She has the been the most interesting character to me. Her punishments will be really hard to watch.

Cynthia, I couldn't tell where they were. I was thinking it might be the cabin too, but I didn't actually see the cabin to know for sure. Plus I'm not sure I didn't miss something with another zzzzz. But I did keep thinking that Marcelo would dump Tin out of the wheelchair at any moment.

Cynthia, I think Tintin did take him to Facundo's cabin (but put him in the garage) unless Facundo was such a hermit that his surroundings didn't bother him.

TOA You said Valerie, when I'm sure you meant Valentin. And yes, the problem with villains is that some are TOO patient. They don't kill their enemies off right away. The ego causes things to backfire either b/c they monologue or hold off for their ultimate revenge. Now Marc is going to scare him into exposing his fake injury that he probably suspects.

Virginia LOL, I loved the original Batman series as a kid. There was always a new Holy Batman line Robin always came up with. My fave was "Holy Strawberries, Batman!" Yes, I loved the manhandling too! I dedicated that potion of my recap to my mother :P And I'm glad Sole got to see AnaLet's true intentions so she'll know who to suspect if AnaLu's in trouble.

Miguel That really irked me too. She'll always defend her. I get seeing the good in people, like Rem does, but what Ana Laura does is pure self-delusion. The only kidnapping I want is of Ana Laura because she's so untrusting of all the galans, that she'd need to see for herself what Tin is really about. Agree, I hoped AnaLet would've been exposed right now and we'd get the treat of seeing her unleash a hell fury on everyone with each day collapsing deeper into insanity and mad plots. Why don't people watch shows like Breaking Bad or Sopranos for inspiration?

Jarifa Right? And it only took him getting really drunk to loosen the web she's weaved around his mind, to see clearly. I only wish he'd have seen it sober, but maybe he'll think she really came on to him and confront her. He'll say something like "I had an intimate dream about you" and before he goes on, she'll get excited that she knew he loved her in that way, and boom! He realizes it's true!

Susanlynn Haha, I noticed him carrying her like that & had to smile. Their paired scenes always make me laugh. I believe the wound was on the other arm he left swinging. It was so cute.

Daisy *Raises hand* Ooh! Me! Me, me, me, me! I thought he'd dump him like dirt out of a wheelbarrow, but alas not yet. Maybe that's why he went to go find a lake. But I remember an avances where he puts a gun to his face, so maybe no Tin dumping for us :/

Diana No, I don't believe Marc knows Ram is missing, but I'm sure Tin will use it as a wildcard to keep from being shot. And yes, it is sad nobody notices. They assume he's just quietly mourning. This is why I suspect Ana Laura is secretly jealous of his bromance w/ Marc. Marc & Ram are the real star couple of this TN. Oh, you don't think I'd make a romantic tribute to them on youtube? Think again! Ok, I'm just kidding, idk how to do that stuff.........yet ;)

Anon8:40 Sole doesn't trust AnaLet, she hopes that by convincing her to forgive AnaLu, she'll protect her daughter. There's no Ev in sight, and everyone seems to be fooled by the evil triplet. She should've asked Rem to bring Marc, tho. He's always sought to protect AnaLu, even from her.

Viri Hit it right on the nail, 'miga! I was waiting for AnaLu to defend Ram & all she could do was reinforce that they became rivals w/o knowing. Huh? She made it sound like she was agreeing! I wish for Ram to use his head (literally) and bonk Fac's thug when he bends to inject, then break free & start a new life w/ me in Cuernavaca. AnaLu didn't consider Marc was lying, she denied it b/c she said that she's not the victim, she's the one who did the chasing. I was glad she was at least honest about that.

Mati I made a pen pun before? Ay, amiga, I can't keep up w/ anything I say these days lol. Ooh, don't forget to add that Javi will probably expose the Isidro video somehow to seek the proper justice for his bro.

Urban Right, there's no explanation, no matter how much we attempt to make sense of it. He's a psychopath & really doesn't need a real reason to take his vengeance on anyone. If you so much as dipped your toe near Gina, you are a candidate for revenge by default. I wish the writers accepted this, rather than giving us 101 motives for his scheme.

Carvivlie LOL, yes the unexecuted shirt removal was a bummer. Idk if Tin got Gina back for his injury. He blamed Tio for it last night. Ram said that maybe she lied. Tbh I've given up tryna get Tin's story straight b/c I don't think even he has it straight. There's a point where he says that he had gotten the investigation going with Mariano, since Tio was sleeping w/ her & he didn't want to share her. So he knew they slept together beforehand? Then why did he claim that AnaLet "opened his eyes", why'd he go ballistic only after he overheard it as if it were the 1st time? Do you see? The writers wrote this TN drunker than Tio & Tin combined!

Niecie Exactly, thank you Niecie! I've been saying that this victimized attitude of hers is really her own doing. People don't hold her back, her own insecurities do. She's completely flawed & makes the worst mistakes, all the while blaming the world around her for why things aren't up to her expectations.

Ithabill Your name in arabic, when pronounced It-hab-bill, means "act stupid" lol. Just found it interesting, especially when your comment is the complete opposite of stupid. Great insight! I also hope for a ride off into the sunset in burning flames of anvil glory, but most likely they'll die falling into a ditch or slow deaths after being shot. Maybe the slow death can bring them together in bloody cuddles, as they go into the darkness in each others arms. "Hold me, it's so cold. It's getting dark....so....cold"

Thanks Anna for a fabulous recap!

Clawdia also knows about Ana Leticia's obsession with Mariano.

I don't think Valentin is mentally ill, he's a spoiled entitled loser who doesn't take responsibility for his actions. He & Claudia grew up privileged but got upset and vengeful because the money that was spent taking care of their father* wasn't being spent on THEM. They rejected Nerina because instead of giving them the money, she spent it trying to take care of their ailing father!

Left with nothing (because of Edmundo's embezzlement), instead of getting a job and working for themselves they decided to leech off of others. Clawdia only wants Mariano so she can suck him dry of his money and Valentin was running scams with Gina sucking people (Mariano) out of their money.

Mad because he got conned by Gina, he kills her but instead of taking responsibility, he blames Ramiro & Mariano when he knows neither one of them killed her. The one person he DOES know tried to harm Gina, he doesn't go after.

Ramiro was correct: Valentin is nothing but a big ol' ball of hate.

I see there's more comments, I promise to read them when I'm done getting screenshots. Great discussion so far, you guys. Oh and almost forgot to officially welcome you, Ithabill. Welcome! :D

Outstanding Anna! It's sad that this is your last recap but it was done to perfection with your signature wit, prominently on display.

"Sole is shaken, frozen, not stirred","My favorite recipe is Marc-aroni & Cheeze" and "Mariano is getting inTINmate with his liquor bottle" were all wonderful. But your "By the looks of her face, this isn't the the kind of baggage she'd hoped to follow her" was my favorite.

I did always wonder about David's name being in caps. I thought he might have asked for it as he wasn't given top billing?

Julie, I was happy that Mariano came to the mind-numbing conclusions about Ana Let on his own. If she had tried to seduce him, he (and we) would have been suitably horrified. I had wondered if this was going to occur, would his rejection spur her to kill him? It will be interesting how he handles her from here on in.

I just want Ramiro home, safe and sound.

I've said so many times over the years, it would be nice to have the villains receive their fates before the final episode so we could savor the happy endings and couples for more than just 5 minutes.

Anna, simply marvelous. Thank you so very much.

Diana

Just saw a part of the video where Tin climbs back in his wheelchair, just to throw Gina's background papers all over Ram's body. Lol, aw he missed his wheels! Well, too lazy to insert it into the recap now, but though it interesting to share.

Thanks for the recap! I missed a few details throughout the episode but now it all makes sense.

I have a feeling that Marcelo knows that Tin can walk. He made an interesting comment to Curvas when Curvas noted the condition Tin was in. I hope Marcelo is the one that will rescue Ramiro.

I was actually kinda surprised that Sole and AnaLet were talking so formal with each other with the use of "usted". No doubt AnaLet wants that kind of respect from someone like Sole who is beneath her but she (AnaLet) doesn't deserve that kind of respect from anyone.

I don't get why Gina tried to cause Tin's accident since it didn't do her any good. Tin got lucky with that surgery. And poor Mariano has a lot of things on his conscience whether or not he's actually the perpetrator or the victim.

Comments like "More than 1 billion served. " have me choking on my lunch today. Thank you for the very entertaining recap!

Gina was looking to fleece Mariano out of money for Valentin's injury, which was originally planned as a fake-out. However, the accident was more serious than they planned. Afterward she needed an excuse to ditch Hotwheels and be free to marry and fleece Ramiro, then others after him. She was poison in stilettos.

Btw, what ever happened to Sant/Marcelo's brain tumor? Are we in for a miraculous occurence or a badly read scan with a lawsuit pending?

Si, with only 4 or 5 hours left that is being neglected.

BTW, if he had a tumor like that he could potentially be very weak on the opposite side of his body, like my friend was. And they didn't let her out of the hospital until 10 days after her surgery.

Always an entertaining read Anna, thanks.

"we see the tranformer disassemble from his wheels, into a two-legged mop"

I'm kinda hoping Laura and Lucia are there to invite Leticia to come live with them at the hostel and daily give Leticia the shower first so she can use all the hot water.

I'm wondering if we'll get a time jump on that. Maybe it is one of the last things that happen, he goes in for surgery and we get a quick time jump of him and AnaLu happy.

Anna: I forgot that Valerie was already taken, as I was trying o give Vin Tin Tin a non masculine name based on what I expect Ram/Marc/Santi to do to him when they find out everything he has done. Actually wanted a non-gender specific name, but didn't have one handy.

Episode was OK, but this recap is best! Thanks

Maybe DZ's name gets all caps because he sings the theme song too?

toa

Thank you, Anna! A fitting, fun final recap from you. I hope you be bringing your zany recapping style to another tn soon.

Great recap Anna. My favorite quip: "Viewerville smack their lips, huddled around their TVs like hobos at a soup kitchen, spoon-ready for Marc-spaghetti). "

Thanks, Anna. That was a fun read. My favorite parts were the viewer asides like, "Viewerville pauses to jot down the bottle brand for our own future prevention," and "Viewerville agrees, we think Tin is secretly an owl." And I haven't been part of the discussion, but congratulations to whoever came up with Ana Llora- that's one of the best I've seen.

I'll miss this show. I will always watch anything with multiple personality disorder. It's my favorite story theme. I love the dissociative disorders; I think they're a testament to the human spirit.

Hi Julie!

Sorry I'm late, went to feed my inner gorda and got held back cleaning up the casa. But screenshots are up!

Off to read your comments. Thank you all for any lovely praise thus far, and any future ones I may miss :) I truly appreciated writing for, and debating with, you all. Wonderful minds in here!

Diana...yes, Inaki is a tortured soul....in a killer body. He needs to get all the awards.

Mati I tried to go out with a bang, and may have bonged lol. Maybe b/c for weeks, I've contemplated doing a TVA Novela Awards Blog for the final weekend, so this may not be my last post yet. If anybody else isn't do anything, I'll post the nominees on Saturday for us to vote on best galan, best action, best cachetada (slap), best kiss, best couple, best dressed, best smile, etc. The nominees will be posted as either pictures and videos, still not sure. But the votes will be tallied, and winners revealed on Tuesday (the day after the finale). What do you think?

Niecie I know, I actually half-expected her to spill the beans but maybe that's what she meant by she'll get him for this.

Julie Me too, it was too talkative! I had to re-watch this morning to catch anything I missed. I agree, they should've killed off the rest & gave Ev the spotlight. Tin may be a villain, but he's no mastermind like Ev.

Urban I'm betting Javi exposes him all on his own, once he realizes Inaki killed their brother Dani. Ooh, what TN's had this ending. You must tell me!

Carvivlie Some secrets like the one you mentioned I don't mind, but there are important ones like Ram's mom's suicide and Ana Laura discovering Tin's fake paralysis before anyone kills him off. I'm getting anxious b/c we're down to 4 epis. I mentioned the time jump on Marc's tumor the other day. It has to be, Rulli would never shave his head!

Cynthia I'm sure Ana Laura will stay at the pension for Ana Lu, she's too upset to go back anywhere else. She'll have to learn from AnaLu how to dodge him the way she did with Oily.

Anon12:03 They are my favorite pair, and it's moreso for Inaki but indeed AnaLet is the most interesting character. Boyer should sweep the awards for this one.

Victoria Oh so it was Tin that directed them there? I thought it was Marc. Hmm, I wonder why he was so afraid to be left alone, Fac's thug should be nearby right?

Anna Nabil Your stupid long comments are giving me scroll arthritis, you long-winded heifer!

Don't forget that the show is coming on an hour earlier tonight!

Anon207 Once again, I like your take on things. Not sure if you read my response yesterday, but the only thing I have trouble with is that Gina was the one who conned him & got off easy w/ an immediate kill. Tio was almost shot as well, but Marc intervened. So Tin had him "killed" by Ev. So why didn't he finish where he left off once Marc was out? In fact, since he's non-discriminate about his hate, why does he let AnaLet off the hook? The long con should've been left for the actual con (Gina), and the kills for the passive participants. This is why I believe him to be more than just a hateful brat, he's definitely got mental issues. Nobody stays in a wheelchair for 5 years unless they're psycho.

Diana LOL, I know! We've been spared! But who knows, she may still come onto him & really seal his suspicions! Me too, I really hope Ram gets saved by tonight. It can't be safe being anesthetized so long.

TF Me too, Marc is pretty intuitive. If he can figure out AnaLet's secret, he probably suspects Tin's.

Jarifa That joke was PG compared to what I almost put. It had to do with a drive-thru, and her opening hours. But it was too tacky for such a classy blog ;P

Tofie Lol, are you hoping they hate her so much for stealing the hot water, she gets thrown out? I think she'd do far worse damage, probably break a pipe. But her highness would never live there.

Anon1:35 No, no, YOU"RE the best ;)

Viri I wanted to do CDP, but it was too late at night for me. I'll wait a few month to see what else Uni brings :)

Anon2:01 Wow another Anon, are you all just coming outta the woodwork this week? lol. Thank you.

Ithabill Same, I love complex storylines. Have you ever watched United States of Tara? That used to be my favorite show!

Susanlynn Add me to that list of voters who want Inaki to win all the awards. Him and Carlos were so great. Although Carlos did fab with evil. Inaki gave us 3 dimensions of drama, comedy, sex appeal, and torment!

Anna Nabil
Thank you so much for giving us such extraordinary recaps that grabbed (at least mine) our attention, provided us with great snark, picked up the nuances of the dialogue, and brought our attention to the nuances of each actor/character.

Please let us enjoy your recaps again soon.

The other day someone mentioned that they were disappointed by how the reunion of the triplets was staged/looked last episode, and I have to agree. Especially because the reunion in the original, Lazos de Amor, done 20 years ago, actually looked more natural and seamless. You can watch it here-- there are no spoilers because the way Lazos wrapped up is quite different than the way this is wrapping up, and these scenes shed no light on anything new: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1Yjw3uRJd4

(the sweet sister in Lazos is blind, not crippled)

Everyone has said it all-I don't know what I could add...I will miss your humor and have so enjoyed your screen shots w/captions. The best one today was, "The 1800s called, and on second thought, they DON'T want their fashion back."

A TVA Novella Awards Blog count me in. I agree that AB can't miss walking away with top awards. Carlos de la Motto and Pedro Moreno also excelled- as did DZ and Rulli.
I would like to see them all win. A lot depends on the character they play. Some actors have more to work with. Often it's the "bad guys" that are more interesting characters.

Traveling Lady: Usually those People magazine articles don't tell the whole thing and aren't really spoilers. I think they are meant to throw people off so that they don't get too comfortable with what they think is the ending. It causes more viewers to tune in and their ratings go up.

Anna: I am so much going to miss your recaps with the rhymes, screenshots, and color coded paragraphs. It's been so entertaining and I hope to see you recapping on another TN soon.

Julie - I removed the posting from People and apologize to you or anyone else who saw more than you wished.
I should have marked it SPOILER. I had not looked at the photos. I hope that it did minimum damage.
I hate spoilers, especially as we near the end.

Thanks, Mati. I appreciated your intention - I have been curious about the ratings.

Anyone know how this is doing in Mexico? I should think it would be a hit, but I do remember that the pace was a bit slow at the beginning.

Vivi, thanks to the link for the Lazos clip. That was fabulously done. Very interesting that after all these years have passed, better technology wasn't used (or old technology wasn't used in a better way) for such a crucial scene in TVA.

Also amazing: I think the three (much younger) Luceros are even more distinct than the three Anas. One of them I wouldn't even have recognized as Lucero, she was wearing so much makeup.

Will Monday's Gran Final be a full 2 hours ?

Steve, I heard 1.5 hours plus a 1/2 hour special. But I don't know if it starts at 8 or 9.

Julie- And it must have been so much harder to stage and shoot because there were so many other people in that scene! Really impressive for 21 years ago.

That was a great vid, Viri thanks for sharing with us! You're right, way better editing there!

And Mati promise to share that link with me on the last day, ok?

Everyone that I missed, and even the ones I got You were so great. I love this community. I've never felt more safe to share my writing and humor. Thank you for your graciousness, oh wonderful Viewerville.

And with that said, so if everyone's cool with it, we'll have the Novela Awards on Saturday? Bring your voting buttons, banners, and foam fingers. Should be fun :)

There is not much point comparing the reunion in 3VA with that in LAZOS DE AMOR. as I've said before, the basic anecdote is the same, but they are completely different beasts.

Lazos was pretty boring most of the time, and the two only MAJOR moments were the reunion in ep98, and the final episode (#100). the ending was iconic and that's what made the novela a classic, otherwise it would've been forgotten.
Just imagine that, in the original, our taxi driver is JUST a taxi driver. And he is not connected to the evil triple in any way; in fact, they only meet once and all they do is shake hands.
And the main obstacle between Maria Guadalupe (Ana Lucia) and Nicolas (SantiMarc) is Virginia, a rich taxi passenger who falls in love with him. She has cancer, and he decides to sacrifice his relationship with MGuad to make Virginia happy in her death bed. BORING!

In the original, the triplets only met twice. Evil triplet didn't spend half the novela saying she wanted to kill the lost triplet. There wasn't much tension between the three of them. The 1995 reunion was very well done (and I love the original Chana making a comment about 'finally, the three faces, together'), and I enjoy when Maria Paula (Ana Let) gets carried away by the moment and demands a hug because she's her sister too.
We won't have that in 3VA... there were a couple of conversations between Llora and anaLet when the latter showed some kind of affection (guilt?) for AnaLucia, but we're way past that now. She doesn't love her sisters, AT ALL. Therefore, you could not recreate the reunion from the original. What I did miss was the scene where AnaLucia and Llora realised AnaLet's game. We SHOULD HAVE seen that moment.

I really have no idea how they're going to wrap this one up. So unpredictable!

Miguel- It wasn't about the emotional content of the reunion scene, it was the way it was staged/executed/directed that bugged me. The 3xAna scene looked fake and stilted, with less technical difficulty (only three people in the shot), versus what they did over 20 years ago with multiple people in the scene. It was fantastic. As you point out, this story is so much more convoluted it's hardly the same story. But that's another matter.

I see your point. They also avoided having all 3 characters touch each other like the group hug in LAZOS.
Let's see what happens in the next episode, and how they stage that 3xAna moment. I really hope Ana Let will be unmasked in front of Abue, and that she'll have to flee. I want her cornered, with everyone realising she's a monster. And I want it now, not in the final 30 minutes!

I am behind all week, so my apologies for lateness. So many great comments, I am bummed I didn't get to participate today.

Anna, thanks you so much for all your witty recaps, and this one in particular. Hope to keep reading you on Caray for a very long time!

Sorry I'm late, it's been a busy week but I couldn't miss your last recap Anna! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and for this most hilariously, snarky, fun, brilliant recap, I will miss them!
