La Piloto #65 6-5-17: When Is Failure Not A Failure? When Luck Turns It Into Success
John and Col. SantaMaria are greeted with cheers at the latest encampment in the D.F. for the ex-cartelitos. We learn (much to Viewerville's disgust that Oscar's remains are a-ripenin' in the trunk. Nope. He did not get a burial yet.) The boys in the band are now supposed to give due homage to The Dead One, no doubt now ripening like a fine fromage. (My apologies to our resident former French profesora, but I couldn't resist.)
John and S&M go into the royally appointed RTV and turn on the news. DEADave is being pestered by the 4th Estate and humbly telling them to watch the news at 11 cuz he ain't got none now. At least, it ain't good news cuz yeah, El Lucio is once again prófugo-- a fugitive on the run.
DEADave is at the State's Attorney's office to apologize for the mother of all of major screw ups when he must take a call from his superior, Fajardo. Dave and Fajardo commiserate that now not only does The Agency have egg on its face, but two more DEAd agents to live down. Dave graciously takes that burden onto his shoulders and will rectify the problem. (Fajardo should be seriously rethinking that promotion to Monty's old post by now.)
Dave also takes an unexpected call from John-Boy now, who is mocking his latest presser and swearing revenge for the death of his brother. Dave tells him he had nothing to do with The Grouch's recent demise. It's all on brother John. O was quite alive and well and must have jumped after Dave. And, BTW, Johny on the Spot, my boy, better watch your back with SantaMaria, your new side-kick and confidant. The dude's just stolen you blind! (You should pardon the pun--not!) Seems he got into the safe at Cielito Lindo and emptied it of every pesito and then some. Click....... John looks over at S&M but keeps his pie hole shut and ponders.
Meanwhile, Yolanda, the Gone Girls, and Wilber, consider their remaining funds and find that John's plane, La Consentida, is up for sale on the black market. How or why it got there, none can figure out. They have the cash for it and Yoli wants to buy it. I am not certain the reasoning, other than she knows it's a great little plane and then, there's the nostalgia of having begun her flight training in it, not to mention, it's one way of getting back at poor Johnny for all the agony grief Oscar and he put her and hers through. She okays the purchase. Also, she wants to travel to Colombia to re-establish the Lucio gang's drug supply chain and contacts there. One of the guys --the narco-ciendo owner who'd held the lady lawyer prisoner-- is now in prison up in the States. Yeah, she'll have to connect with him somehow to get the 411 on the state of the biz back home now.
At a meeting with Vergara later in the day, she and the Gone Girls explain their plans. Wilber's chosen to make the contact with San whatshizname at the Miami federal prison cuz he's the only one of them not wanted for something.

Parte 2~~
S&M tells John he knows where to find Dave; he followed him back to his apartment once.
Also, Vergara, prior to calling this meeting with Yoli and Los Hostages, has had a chat via phone with Sen. Siniestro(?) [trans. = disaster, loss, accident, spooky, scary]. The Senator is told what a SNAFU Yoli made of things and he tells Vergy to snuff out her and all of her friends and family if she screws up again. Tomorrow's the election and he had better win it! He won't suffer her kind of insolent disobedience and defiance anymore.
Meanwhile, speaking of prisoners, Monica struts fearlessly with her bloody knife in her hands and threatens Braids' old posse and any of the prison guards that looks at her cross-eyed. "--Nobody is going to mess with me now. Got it? What are you looking at???" Nobody does mess with her. Nobody cares--at least none of the guards raises a hand anymore than any of the prisoners.
Dave, at the same time that Moni's lording it over everybody, is asking the Benavides, to transfer poor Moni to a less guarded prison, so she won't be in among such dangerous types, as a police officer, right? Benny promises to try, but it isn't gong to be very easy, he advises. He then takes a call from Mena who wants to talk but for a price.
One of the guarros fetches O's personal belongings and hands them over to John. John asks if he knows where S&M is or where he went. The guy says he doesn't. John opens up Oscar's laptop looking for answers. Ok. At least it's a Windows 10 operating system. Unfortunately, John doesn't know the password it would seem, however. (I hope for his sake that once he finds it out the system doesn't "forget" it or this story's in a whole lot of trouble.)
Back at the hide out (Say, What kind of place is that, anyway? An abandoned office building, parking lot, or possibly, as it looks like somebody abandoned an unfinished Embassy Suites project before the fountain was set in--or some such--anywho....) the Family Mortician from Tres Fuegos arrives in his black market purchased ambulance to take away O's body. He mentions to John, the old family friend of sorts, that he's seen his plane for sale on the black market. Sure is his plane, agrees John. But, why wasn't it destroyed? Why's it on the black market? Could it be a trick of the DEA's, of DEADave's? Mortician Friend suggests not. There've been numerous offers and somebody's bound to buy it. (Viewerville's left to wonder who.) John sends off a bid. (We know he's good for it.)
Back at Mansion Las Sombras, Wilber tells Olivia he's grateful for having met her. She says all she's done is gotten him into dangerous fix after fix. He says nope. Actually he's become somebody....feels like somebody now. She thinks he's been sent by papi up above as her protector. He's got two hours till he leaves for his flight to Miami. They decide to take advantage of the time. She makes him her man --a man.
That evening Dave gets a call from Moni and she tells him that things are fine for now with Braids. She put her in her place is all. He tells her he's talked to Benavides about getting her out of there. Great. (She knows what may happen now....) He tells her he's meeting Mena who wants to talk. He'll get back to her.
At the same time, S&M and one of John's guarros is secretly watching who comes and goes into Dave's place which I believe is actually Moni's new place..... Raul is seen getting out of a cab and entering the building. "--Ah, one of Yolanda's little friends." S&M loads his gun.
Dave is otherwise occupied, meeting with, patting down, and questioning Mena. Mena says he's going to go on with this meet because he wants to know that his kid's going to be well taken care of. Dave says he doesn't know where the kid's at. No, but Yolanda does, says Mena. "--Ok, just so you know, Las Sombras have him but I don't know where. They took the kid and are using him to control her so she'll work for them."
Back at Embarrassing Suites, John has a little memorial for Oscar. The most fascinating thing is that nobody even had to change clothes for it except John, who has now exchanged his prison khaki for his funereal black. FF>>FF>>
Mena and Dave continue their discussion. For the future of his son, he tells Dave he will cooperate with him. So, where would Yolanda go to continue getting product for Las Sombras? To Colombia, where it's still being produced--and by whom? By Salvador Moreno--and whoever has taken over for him in the meantime!

Or maybe: 'Wilmer finally gets his reward.' Talk about not being able to keep a secret, can we assume somehow Oli will soon have her very own baby to care for?
Dave is just lucky. His ship is finally coming in. He's screwed up so many times it is embarrassing.
That purple won't leave and I've no more time to play with the draft. Got to get to work.
Enjoy, all.
Wilmer is a naive idiot. He will now certainly die. Raul in his poor wheelchair is no match for SM. When you think about it, Olivia has lost her father and brother, Amanda her life, Liz--for no--Raul, and Yoli still has everyone, awful mom, loving Aunt and Dave. But she is the only one with all of the physical torture. Other than Liz, who isn't too bad off, who has had it worst?
I did loved Monica putting Braids in her place by cutting her face & everyone ran for the hills ROLFOL.

I was hoping someone would mutter under their breath "Never liked his Grouch ass anyway."
Monica seems drunk with power now. Is she going batty?
No doubt Dave is the better man, but dang(!) John and Yoli had the better chemistry.
One of the young soldiers who started to help Yoli when SM had her captured and SM had him shot by his own men at the raid.
Thanks Jardinera. As always....memorable!
The bloodthirsty Colombian Army Colonel is out of control.
I really only have one thing to say.....How could the officers guarding DEADave's apartment door NOT see two oddly mismatched creepy guys sitting on the other side of the street in a NON-Black car?
I do survey the comments from time to time and remove duplicates -- just to clean up the page, as I did with Jar's double medic comment.
Please try again. We love hearing from you.
Thx

BUT the last couple of times Yoli tried to tell you the same, you didn't believe her and hung up on her.
So Wattup Bro? Even Raul believes Liz abandoned him to get back into the very desirable drug slave business.
One of us missed something Dave.
