Enamorandome de Ramon #12 8.23.17: Bandaged Ankles and Marriage Proposals
• Fabiola, distracted by Ramon’s chiseled abs, steps in a hole and hurts her ankle. Ramon, ever the savior, picks her up and takes her inside the office at the mechanic shop. He sits her down on Dalia’s desk and asks her to move the ankle around. She thinks it’s broken but he explains that she wouldn’t be able bear the pain it if was though Fabiola is doubtful. He suggests she ask Francisco, since he’s a doctor, but Fabiola believes him. Ramon offers to bandage the leg up and goes to get a first aid kit.
• Andrea leaves for school, sans Jorge, much to Juana’s surprise. Once she leaves, Julio comes and asks Juana about his nieces. They are both out but he wanted to know if they needed money. Juana explains that they have the money from the airline, for now, and Julio asks if they can have a coffee and talk. Juana doesn’t think it’s a good idea and Julio takes the hint, though he’s mildly surprised. Once alone, Juana thinks she made the best choice and goes about her day.
• Ramon begins to bandage Fabiola’s ankle but she complains about the pain. He thinks about when he bandaged Sofia’s leg but Fabiola brings him back to reality. He tells Fabiola that she should be okay, especially with the pill she took, but she needs to be careful. Fabiola nods and he goes back to work but not before he gives Fabiola the same blessing as his mother whenever they are hurt, at her request.
• Jorge finds Andrea at school and asks her why she left him; she explains that she was busy but he wants to know exactly why today was different. She shrugs and he is confused as to why she is avoiding him. Andrea doesn’t say anything else and he decides to let the conversation drop. As he walks off, Sara leeches onto his shoulder and asks him if he would like to go for a coffee. As Andrea watches them, she considers if she’s making the right decision.
• Sometime later, Ramon keeps working but thinking about all the passionate moments he shared with Sofia. Fabiola approaches him, smiling, but hears him whisper Sofia. She asks him who she is but Ramon tells her that she heard wrong and Fabiola nods. She then asks if he’s seen Lucho and he points to him under the car. As she walks off, Ramon wonders why he didn’t tell her who Sofia was.
• Benito catches up to Juana and Luisa, who are coming back from the market, as they enter the apartment building. He asks them if they would like to go eat tacos with him but Juana is surprised that she’s invited as he’s been making goo-goo eyes at Luisa. Benito tells her she is and Juana will see. She walks in front of Luisa, who sneaks a final look back at Benito, and follows her.
• In the hallway, Juana asks Luisa if she thinks Benito likes her because of all the attention he gives her. Luisa laughs it off and tells her that she would tell her if there was anything. Juana thinks he hasn’t confessed, especially because Fredesvinda has him on a tight leash, but he may soon, though she pities Luisa having Fredesvinda as a mother-in-law. Luisa doesn’t mind, as it’s sweet to be in love, and asks Juana if she wouldn’t feel the same. Juana argues that, if it were for the wrong reasons or the wrong person, she’d rather not know love. Luisa wonders when the last someone said something nice to her and Juana confesses that yesterday Julio was very sweet with her but she needs to keep the secret. Luisa agrees.
• Dalia, who sees Fabiola limping, asks her what happened to her ankle. Fabiola explains that she fell but Ramon took care of her. She then confesses that he has the best hands and was very sweet with her. Dalia gives her a stink face but doesn’t smile. Just then, Ramon comes to drop off a document but Dalia asks him to give it to Fabiola and storms off. At Ramon’s request, Fabiola explains that she told Dalia all about their moment that morning but thank god she didn’t tell her about Sofia. Ramon reminds her that she’s no one but Fabiola tells him that her mind may wonder if he doesn’t tell her. Ramon shrugs and Fabiola tells him that she will find out the truth, one day. When he leaves, smiles secretly.
• Luisa is shocked that Julio is flirting with Juana but Juana argues that he’s not; he just touched her shoulder. She then tells her that he came back to check on the girls but she cut him off. Luisa still thinks that he may like her but Juana isn’t stupid and knows why he’s suddenly interested in her. She then tells Luisa that she’s going back to the Medina apartment and leaves. Luisa nods.
• Emilia and Julio arrive at clandestine porker game. They hand the hostess the entry fee and begin the game. Everyone wishes each other luck with a glass of champagne but Julio looks unsure and nervous.
• Antonio calls Fabiola and tells her that the new client signed the contract and he is going to be out for the rest of the day so any calls should go to his cell phone. Fabiola congratulates him and then hangs up as Dalia and Ramon walk in, asking if there is anything else they can do before leaving. Fabiola shakes her head but then calls Ramon back to give him a drawing Diego made for him. Ramon smiles and asks her to Diego that he loved it. They smile at each other, much to Dalia’s chagrin, and she then drags him away. Once alone, Fabiola smiles again, unable to hide her growing feelings for Ramon.
• As the poker game continues, Julio looks nervous, everyone else looks bored and Emilia keeps looking around at everyone’s card (what kind of professional game is this?)
• Dalia and Ramon arrive at her house and she is shocked that he hasn’t noticed the smoldering looks Fabiola gives him; she’s also noticed the looks he gives her. Ramon just wants to keep his head down and work. He is not looking to get involved with anyone, least of all Fabiola. Dalia understands that she needs to butt out and storms off to her room.
• Julio, who has won, collects his chips. As the game goes on, he keeps wining, much to another gentleman’s annoyance. He continues to drink as Julio smiles.
• Fabiola meets Francisco at the hospital cafeteria and shows him her foot. He asks who bandaged it and she tells him she did. He nods and then Fabiola quickly changes the subject. She tells him that she’s very happy working at the shop and explains that she never thought she would be working there. Francisco is still unhappy with her choice but Fabiola argues that it’s her family’s livelihood and she likes it as much as he likes medicine. Francisco doesn’t think it’s the same thing but prefers to drop the topic and concentrate on what’s important: their wedding.
• Julio makes a bet and the same gentleman calls his bet, hoping that he doesn’t have good cards. This goes on for two more bets before they go all in and reveal their cards. Julio thinks he has won but it’s the gentleman’s turn. Julio curses his luck, wondering how it happened, and asks the man for a chance to win his money back. The man nods but it will only be one hand for $50,000. Julio agrees.
• Francisco tells Fabiola that their plans were stalled when her parents died but he sees no reason that they should put it off any longer. Fabiola thinks money is one reason but Francisco argues that they are both working and can live in his apartment. He just wants to be with her forever. Fabiola wants to also and Francisco suggests they get married the next month. Fabiola has grown quiet.
• Julio looks at his cards and stays while the gentleman asks for three new cards. He looks at his hand as Julio twirls his cards, nervously. It’s time to put down their calls and Julio is sure he’s won but he has lost again. He looks at their cards, defeated.
• Fabiola thinks the wedding is too soon but Francisco prefers a small gathering. Fabiola thinks about this and Francisco assumes she’s worried about Andrea though he tells her that they aren’t living the city and she can visit her whenever she wants. He kisses her and asks her to say yes. Fabiola finally relents and agrees to get married in a month (barf!).
• Outside the game, Julio asks for some time to gather the money but the gentleman asks him to sign an invoice to make sure he will pay him. He hands Julio his card and asks that they meet in his office tomorrow. Julio reluctantly agrees.
• Ramon serves Luisa and Juana dinner. Luisa thinks they should put a small stand but Ramon reminds her that he’s a mechanic. They laugh and Ramon then offers Dalia some dinner but she storms off. Luisa asks if Dalia had a bad day at work but Ramon is unsure though Juana thinks she would tell him as they are like siblings. Ramon then asks them to eat before the food gets cold.
• Diego, with tears in his eyes, says goodbye to Roxana. She tells him that everything will go by quickly and he will have a lot of fun with Antonio. Diego hugs her and then to get his bag. Antonio suggests he stay the night so he can drop her off at the airport tomorrow but Roxana thinks it would be too hard. Diego comes back, gives Roxana his stuffed rabbit, and then says goodbye. Antonio kisses her goodbye as well and they leave as Roxana crying, wondering if she’s making the right choice.
• Fabiola arrives home with Francisco and Andrea wonders what happened with her ankle. Fabiola will explain soon but Francisco interjects and suggest Andrea congratulate them as they are getting married. Andrea wonders if Fabiola is pregnant but Francisco explains that they are in love, plain and simple. Andrea thinks it’s too soon but Francisco thinks it’s not soon enough and they will have a small ceremony either way, live in his apartment and will find a dress soon. Fabiola explains that she had the same doubts but though better of it. Francisco also wants to tell Juana but Andrea explains that she’s at Luisa’s. Francisco wants to call her to give her the news and asks that they call her. He then kisses Fabiola, who smiles, though her eyes look sad.
• Julio drinks himself into a stupor at a bar when another drunk man sits down next to him. The man asks if his wife also cheated on him but Julio explains that he lost two hands at poker and a lot of money. He curses his luck and wonders where he will get the money he owes from. He stops for a second and thinks he should keep playing and win the money back (great plan, bet more money you don’t have).
• Fabiola suggests they wait till tomorrow to tell Juana the news but Fabiola would prefer to wait, especially because it’s not something you say on the phone. Francisco keeps insisting but Fabiola doesn’t budge, she’d rather wait.
• Dalia is sulking in bed when Luisa comes inside, closes the door, and tells her that she knows the truth and already warned her of the consequences should she like Ramon in any other way than a brother. Dalia tries to deny it but finally explains that Ramon may be falling for Fabiola, who is only playing with his feelings and already has a boyfriend. Luisa thinks he may also be playing with Fabiola but Dalia argues that she loves Ramon and doesn’t want to see him hurt. Luisa prefers she mind her business and let Ramon make his own mistakes, especially if he accepts Fabiola’s advances. Dalia asks Luisa if she’s ever been in love and Luisa nods; she reveals that she’s made her own mistakes and knows why she’s telling her these things.
• In the living room, Ramon tells Juana that he will look for a place for them to live, together, when he gets his first check. Juana smiles and tells him that it would be a dream come. They hug and then Juana receives a call from Francisco, who announces that he and Fabiola are getting married in a month. Juana is taken aback for a second and asks to speak to Fabiola. Once Fabiola’s on the phone, Juana demands to know if she’s pregnant but Fabiola denies the news. She explains that she just wants to be happy and Juana tells her that they will talk later. When she hangs up, Ramon, having heard the news, tells Juana that Fabiola is going to marry a man that is not worth it and thinks Francisco will cut down her spirit. Luisa comes and asks whom he is referring to. Juana tells them that it’s Fabiola and Dalia smiles as Luisa looks at her, surprised.
• In his office, Porfirio and Margarita celebrate her first win at the law firm. She thanks him and he offers to take her to dinner. She thinks she should win the case, officially, before anything and Porfirio suggest they go to this restaurant he knows when she does win. Margarita thinks that place would be too romantic, as it would imply they are dating, when they are not, so Porfirio settles telling her how happy he is that they are working together. Margarita smiles.
• Ramon thought Fabiola was smarter and thinks she should have a career before getting married but Dalia always knew she was always “father’s little girl”. Juana argues that Fabiola is becoming more responsible but Dalia reminds her that it was a scheme. Juana argues that they cleared that up already and Fabiola already apologized. Dalia could care less but she’s happy Fabiola is getting married to Francisco, a handsome, doctor. She thinks Fabiola will never have to work again at this rate.
• Outside the building, Francisco smiles at his good fortune. He hopes that Juana will have received the million dollars by the time he gets married to Fabiola so they can tour Europe for their honeymoon. Benito comes, asks why he’s so happy and Francisco tells him about the wedding. Benito congratulates him and tells him that he and Fabiola make a great couple. He then asks Francisco to invite him to the wedding and Francisco nods before leaving.
• Andrea ass Fabiola why she doesn’t look happy to be engaged. Fabiola explains that she is but it was something her and Francisco had already talked about and merely postponed when her parents died, so she was already happy when the first time he proposed. Andrea continues to grill her with questions but Fabiola stops her and explains that she is happy and will be happy so she shouldn’t worry. Andrea smiles, as does Fabiola.
• In his bed, Ramon tosses and turns. He wonders who would marry someone like Francisco but decides it is not his problem and tries to sleep.
• Fabiola, in bed, wonders why she’s not jumping for joy. She tells herself that it’s the best thing for her and she knows she loves Francisco. She then decides to go to sleep as well but can only dream about her wedding day…when her limousine breaks down and Ramon appears, like a white knight, and fixes it for her. Ramon wonders if she wants to get to the wedding but Fabiola suggests he hurry and he obliges. He then gets into the driver’s side and turns the limousine around. When Fabiola tells him the church is the other way, Ramon tells her that they are going toward her destiny. Fabiola sits back and smiles, accepting he fate.
• Ramon is also dreaming…He remembers everything he lived with Sofia but this time Fabiola is the runaway bride. As they kiss in the hotel room, very much like he and Sofia did, his alarm goes off. He turns it off immediately and wonders why he’s thinking about Fabiola so much.
• At breakfast, Margarita tells Hortensia that thinks are going very well at the law firm. Hortensia is happy to see her settling down and wonders what she was ever doing in Boston. Margarita is quiet and Hortensia laments the fact that neither Fabiola nor Andrea have come to visit or asked about her. Margarita assumes they are mad over the insurance policy and suggests Hortensia make the first move. Hortensia will go visit them right away but Margarita explains that Andrea is already at school and Fabiola is working at the mechanic shop, since they don’t know if they are going to receive the insurance money. Hortensia is shocked but wonders what a nice girl like Fabiola is doing at the shop. Margarita explains that Antonio agreed to let her work but Hortensia chides her for keeping her in the dark. Margarita asks her not to be angry but suggests she reach out to the girls and talk things over. Hortensia blames Juana for her fight with Fabiola and Andrea though Margarita silently shakes her head.
• Ramon is getting dressed for work when Fabiola arrives, a smile on her face, and bids him good morning. She then confesses that she dreamed about him and he confesses that he dreamed about her and the fact that she didn’t get married. They tell each other their dreams and Ramon wonders why Fabiola dreamed about not getting married. He thinks she has doubts about getting married and she should because she will throw her life away if she does; he tells her that she still has plenty of things to do and Fabiola considers this.
• Margarita tells Hortensia that Ramon is also working at the shop but Hortensia is livid that Antonio gave Ramon a job after everything that happened with Juana. She thinks that Ramon is also waiting for a piece of the insurance money and decides to go talk with Antonio. Margarita decides to go with her but warns Hortensia that Antonio won’t accept her meddling.
• Fabiola, visibly angry now, chides Ramon for interfering in her life and suggesting she cancel the wedding. Ramon reminds her that she asked him for his opinion and he gave it; he thinks that she’s an independent and vibrant woman that has plenty more to do. Fabiola thinks that she can still study and work when she’s married but Ramon is sure that Francisco won’t allow it. Ramon nods but hopes Fabiola doesn’t end up as a trophy wife when she has so much potential. Fabiola demands he stay out of her life and never speak to her again. As she walks away, Ramon looks at her retreating figure…

She thinks she should win the case, officially, before anything and Porfirio suggest they go to this restaurant he knows when she does win. Margarita thinks that place would be too romantic, as it would imply they are dating, when they are not, so Porfirio settles telling her how happy he is that they are working together. Margarita smiles.
• Ramon thought Fabiola was smarter and thinks she should have a career before getting married but Dalia always knew she was always “father’s little girl”. Juana argues that Fabiola is becoming more responsible but Dalia reminds her that it was a scheme. Juana argues that they cleared that up already and Fabiola already apologized. Dalia could care less but she’s happy Fabiola is getting married to Francisco, a handsome, doctor. She thinks Fabiola will never have to work again at this rate.
• Outside the building, Francisco smiles at his good fortune. He hopes that Juana will have received the million dollars by the time he gets married to Fabiola so they can tour Europe for their honeymoon. Benito comes, asks why he’s so happy and Francisco tells him about the wedding. Benito congratulates him and tells him that he and Fabiola make a great couple. He then asks Francisco to invite him to the wedding and Francisco nods before leaving.
• Andrea ass Fabiola why she doesn’t look happy to be engaged. Fabiola explains that she is but it was something her and Francisco had already talked about and merely postponed when her parents died, so she was already happy when the first time he proposed. Andrea continues to grill her with questions but Fabiola stops her and explains that she is happy and will be happy so she shouldn’t worry. Andrea smiles, as does Fabiola.
• In his bed, Ramon tosses and turns. He wonders who would marry someone like Francisco but decides it is not his problem and tries to sleep.
• Fabiola, in bed, wonders why she’s not jumping for joy. She tells herself that it’s the best thing for her and she knows she loves Francisco. She then decides to go to sleep as well but can only dream about her wedding day…when her limousine breaks down and Ramon appears, like a white knight, and fixes it for her. Ramon wonders if she wants to get to the wedding but Fabiola suggests he hurry and he obliges. He then gets into the driver’s side and turns the limousine around. When Fabiola tells him the church is the other way, Ramon tells her that they are going toward her destiny. Fabiola sits back and smiles, accepting he fate.
• Ramon is also dreaming…He remembers everything he lived with Sofia but this time Fabiola is the runaway bride. As they kiss in the hotel room, very much like he and Sofia did, his alarm goes off. He turns it off immediately and wonders why he’s thinking about Fabiola so much.
• At breakfast, Margarita tells Hortensia that thinks are going very well at the law firm. Hortensia is happy to see her settling down and wonders what she was ever doing in Boston. Margarita is quiet and Hortensia laments the fact that neither Fabiola nor Andrea have come to visit or asked about her. Margarita assumes they are mad over the insurance policy and suggests Hortensia make the first move. Hortensia will go visit them right away but Margarita explains that Andrea is already at school and Fabiola is working at the mechanic shop, since they don’t know if they are going to receive the insurance money. Hortensia is shocked but wonders what a nice girl like Fabiola is doing at the shop. Margarita explains that Antonio agreed to let her work but Hortensia chides her for keeping her in the dark. Margarita asks her not to be angry but suggests she reach out to the girls and talk things over. Hortensia blames Juana for her fight with Fabiola and Andrea though Margarita silently shakes her head.
• Ramon is getting dressed for work when Fabiola arrives, a smile on her face, and bids him good morning. She then confesses that she dreamed about him and he confesses that he dreamed about her and the fact that she didn’t get married. They tell each other their dreams and Ramon wonders why Fabiola dreamed about not getting married. He thinks she has doubts about getting married and she should because she will throw her life away if she does; he tells her that she still has plenty of things to do and Fabiola considers this.
• Margarita tells Hortensia that Ramon is also working at the shop but Hortensia is livid that Antonio gave Ramon a job after everything that happened with Juana. She thinks that Ramon is also waiting for a piece of the insurance money and decides to go talk with Antonio. Margarita decides to go with her but warns Hortensia that Antonio won’t accept her meddling.
• Fabiola, visibly angry now, chides Ramon for interfering in her life and suggesting she cancel the wedding. Ramon reminds her that she asked him for his opinion and he gave it; he thinks that she’s an independent and vibrant woman that has plenty more to do. Fabiola thinks that she can still study and work when she’s married but Ramon is sure that Francisco won’t allow it. Ramon nods but hopes Fabiola doesn’t end up as a trophy wife when she has so much potential. Fabiola demands he stay out of her life and never speak to her again. As she walks away, Ramon looks at her retreating figure…

I cannot find a link on the left side of main CARAY page for Enamorandome. I didn't even know there was recapping!!! Not sure why I am having this issue. Could someone PLEASE send me a link to the start of recapping for this telenovela ( which I'm enjoying quite a bit). Usually there is a first page where someone introduces the characters, etc.

I loved how Fabiola was obviously trying to get a rise out of Dalia by praising Ramon's magical hands. Serves her right for calling Fab "jefecita" the other day. Payback's a bitch. LOL

Just a quick comment regarding Ramon's dream...it was very similar to his experience with Sofia...in fact even the clothes he got for Fabs were similar to the ones Sofia was wearing after she ran from her wedding.

Good Morning everyone. Francisco is almost identical to his character Federico (even similar name) in DC, a conniving cheating boyfriend who was after his Novia's money. He even had a beard there too.
Alfredo, you were on fire right out of the gate with "Fabiola, distracted by Ramon’s chiseled abs" and "Dalia gives her a stink face but doesn’t smile". This was wry and wonderful.

"As he walks off, Sara leeches onto his shoulder" was perfect. I wish she'd go away.
I sort of forgot about Hortensia who has now unfortunately reappeared to darken the days.

Although theirs was instantaneous and passionate, I never doubted it was true. And real. They are not together but Ramon is alive as Sofia chose to make the greatest sacrifice for love that there is - relinquishing to save someone although your heart is broken.

I'm on Team Fab with some reservations...she started off a spoiled brat, but she seems to be showing her better side now. The only reason I'm not on Team Sofia is because of her father...and she may end up "inheriting" some of his traits. Did they ever mention her mother?

ITA, but it seems they are both going a little too fast too soon, IMO, especially since one has just had his heart broken and the other is engaged and planning a wedding in a month. With the wedding now around the corner it will be interesting to see if it actually happens.
Fab is consciously going after Ramon, to spend time with him, so that annoys me since she is engaged to Fran. Sure, he is a jerk and cheater but she doesn't know that. To me, it shows she is still very immature. Ack I'm just not liking her!

Fab is consciously going after Ramon, to spend time with him, so that annoys me since she is engaged to Fran. Sure, he is a jerk and cheater but she doesn't know that. To me, it shows she is still very immature. Ack I'm just not liking her!

Kirby, thank you so much for the updates on the radar...you're such a sweet guy. Reports I hear throughout the day make it seem like my area won't get the brunt of the winds...more in the Port Mansfield area. Hourly predictions have gone from 90-100% chance rain tomorrow to 70-90%. It seems the storm has slowed down because now they are predicting the rougher weather to start at about 3AM (C). But I'm still planning accordingly...just in case.
Good. Not to poo poo your situation, but what I see on the radar looks like what we laugh at around here. The really serious ones are hundreds and hundreds of miles across. I have noticed if there is not a major news story, anything they can dig up becomes a threat to civilization. You will probably get a helluva soaking.

Rgv Chick, they were talking about Harvey on TV this morning and they showed a map with a red blob near Texas and the caption said "this is Rgv Chick's house." (Or maybe it didn't say that. I wasn't wearing my glasses.
I hear the forecast has improved somewhat since this morning, but you're still in my thoughts... hopefully Harvey will run out of steam before he gets to you, and all you'll get is a good thirst-quenching rain.

If I were Juana, I would suspect this marriage is part of the plan to get their hands on the million bucks. This is not the first time these two try to come up with something that will make Juana give Fabi the money. In reality, for Francisco, it really is.

Thank you Alfredo! I now have it bookmarked. I'm so happy to be part of this group; of course, it will take me awhile to figure out who all of you are along with all these telenovela characters. If this doesn't lubricate my synapses, nothing will!!! This telenovela is such a relief after months of drug cartels and mafia! As usual, I will be in a minority with my opinion but I'm not at all interested in Sofia and....... I'm sure she will e returning at a most inopportune time...so I shall gear up for that!
