Enamorándome de Ramón, #28, Sept. 18, 2017: An Innocent Suffers the Wrath of a Broken Man…OR Only Doors Get Banged…

Here is the recap, courtesy of RGVChick:

And in the beginning…Rulo takes advantage that Dalia is dead drunk and says “Make me yours,” but is interrupted by Ramón who has come to save the skank from the scum. Ramón keeps yelling, and Dalia comes to her senses (somewhat). When Dalia staggers over and opens the door, Ramón chides her for the way she looks. Rulo tries to stop Ramón from taking Dalia, but is sent flying to the bed when Ramón slam his fist up his nose and breaks it. Ramon continues to scold Dalia as they leave, but she wants to know what’s wrong with him…it’s not as if he’s her father. Juana calls to ask about Dalia so Ramón covers for Dalia and tells her they are there at the billiard and will stay a while longer. Ramón thinks about what he should do with her now. Meanwhile, Rulo calls Chava and asks him for help going to the hospital because his nose got broken (too bad something else didn’t get broken).

At Benito’s passion den, Luisa and he are on the couch breathing heavily and getting it on (well, trying to) when they get interrupted by a banging on door. Ramón has brought Dalia over so she can sober up. As Luisa hides in the hallway, Ramon drags Dalia in and plops her on the couch. Luisa, who is peaking from the hallway is upset and really wants to go out and lambaste Dalia, but realizes she can’t (oh, the restraint that must have taken).

At Emilia’s, Susana wonders if her mother is upset with Osvaldo. Emilia thinks he is an expert at getting her into trouble, but wonders how a father can do such nefarious things to his own son. Just then, Osvaldo is outside and calling to ask if he can come in. When Emilia allows it. Osvaldo shares that his dad admitted to selling the car so now he can’t stand the sight of him…he didn’t know where else to go.

At the loony passion den, Benito and Ramón struggle to give Dalia coffee…she refuses it. Benito chides Ramón for getting Dalia drunk but Ramon tells him it was Rulo who took her to the billiard then took her to his house. Dalia wants to go home, but Ramon wants her to sober up. Dalia thinks it doesn’t matter because her mother isn’t home anyway, but Ramón reminds her Juana is there and makes her gulp down the coffee.

At Emilia’s, Osvaldo can’t understand why his father lied to him instead of just admitting he had financial problems. He doesn’t know if he can forgive him. Osvaldo thinks about probably staying at a hotel, but Susana wants him to stay there. Emilia agrees that he can stay in guest room. When he thanks the “Señora,” she reminds him to call her Emilia.

At the loony passion den, Benito goes to check on Luisa who is furious at Dalia and can’t wait to get home to get after her, but Benito warns her she can’t tell Dalia anything because then they will think he ratted on them. In the living room, Ramón continues to give Dalia coffee and calls out for Benito…Dalia is about to throw up. They rush her to the bathroom which happens to be through the hallway, but Ramón opens the bedroom door instead as Luisa hides under the bed and Ramón notices her feet sticking out from under the bed. He closes the door quickly.

After Rulo finishes up getting his nose set, Chava tells him he was lucky that it was a clean break, but Rulo wants to get back at Ramón. Even though Chava advises him not to go looking for trouble, Rulo won’t let things go.

At Luisa’s house, Ramón and Dalia enter and are greeted by Juana who is yelling from her room. Dalia yells good night and when Ramón makes sure she can go to her bedroom on her own, goes on to his bedroom, Dalia wonders what she did; she can’t remember anything.

Outside Antonio’s shop, Chava and Rulo jump the fence. Rulo wants to loosen the brake line pipe on Fabiola’s car. Chava warns him that Fabiola might drive the car…but Rulo doesn’t care…too bad, if it’s her time, then it’s her time.

In the morning, Benito and Luisa eat breakfast when someone bangs on the door again. Ramón has returned just to say thank you and to apologize…for interrupting since he had company, but he only saw her feet. Benito tells him the woman was not someone worth introducing…it was just one of those adventures; and Luisa is in the other room fuming (I’m surprised Ramón didn’t notice the smoke). When Ramón leaves, Luisa comes out throwing Benito’s words at him, but she should get with it…that’s all he could think to say.

In her bedroom. Dalia is still in bed trying to remember what happened…the last thing she remembers is Rulo being all over her teaching her how to play pool.

In the morning, Julio bumps into Margarita as he goes to his mother’s house because she isn’t answering. They both enter and find HorHellia passed out on the floor. After they make her sell alcohol (or something similar), she finally comes to and wonders what happened. She woke with a huge headache, got woozy and must have fainted. Julio wants her to get checked by a doctor, but she refuses. She only wants them to pick up the mess she made. After she staggers to her bedroom, Margarita calls the doctor.

Jorge goes for Andrea on his way to the university. He tells her Osvaldo left home. He recounts the whole ordeal, including the sorry excuses his father came up with. Now his father will have to face the consequences because Osvaldo won’t forgive him. After she holds his hands and looks at him empathetically, he wonders about the type of family he has.

In his office, Antonio gets a call from Rulo who tells him some guy broke his nose; so he needs to be out. As he hangs up, Ramón walks in and tells him Dalia won’t be in because she is feeling sick. When Antonio asks about Ms. Sofia’s (customer) car, Ramon gives a quick report and tells him he will take care of it. Before Ramón exits, Antonio asks if Juana told him about the incident with Julio.
At Emilia’s, Susana is having breakfast as Osvaldo wakes up late and worries what her mother will think.

At a manicure shop, Emilia’s manicurist friend asks about Susana as she gets her manicure. Emilia tells her Susana now has a boyfriend and smirks. Her friend notes the smirk and reminds her that “el que solo sonríe, de sus maldades se acuerda” (he who laughs to himself, of his misdeeds remembers)…she wonders if Emilia has a love interest, but Emilia grins and says, “No, it’s just a simple flirtation.”

At Antonio’s office, Antonio tells Ramón he was bothered when he saw Julio with Juana and is very sorry…he hopes Juana forgives him. Ramón thinks Juana is astute and knows that the money is going to be a magnet for some people. When Ramón wonders what Antonio knows about Julio, Antonio admits he has nothing concrete but thinks that Julio is a man with a dark side; and he is suspicious about the interest Julio now has with Juana. Juana needs to be careful…Julio is not a man that can be easily read. Antonio assures Ramón that he holds her in high regard even if she doesn’t believe it.
At Luisa’s house, Dalia comes out to the kitchen dragging her feet. Juana doesn’t think her malady looks like a stomach ache; it looks more like a hangover. Just then, Luisa comes in and wonders why Dalia isn’t at work, Dalia has to exit quickly to go to the restroom. Luisa frowns and will prepare her a really good remedy. When Juana asks how it went with Benito, Luisa shares that her “chaparrito” (short one) is unique.

At the shop, Ramón walks to the garage and greets Chava who tries to pry information out of Ramón, so he asks about Dalia. When Ramón tells him she isn’t coming to work, Chava shares that Rulo isn’t coming in either. After Ramón is out of hearing distance, Chava calls Rulo to tell him Dalia didn’t come in and Ramón mentioned nothing about breaking his nose.

At Luisa’s, Luisa smirks as she concocts Dalia’s “remedy.” In the bedroom, Juana asks Dalia what she ate as Luisa comes in with the “grandmother’s remedy.” Dalia gives her a dubious look and thinks it smells bad, but Luisa forces her to drink it all. When Juana what she put in it, Luisa replies, “Love, pure love.”

At Hell’s den, the doctor has checked HorHellia and found that her blood pressure is low and her sugar level went down (but didn’t say if she has a heart). He recommends a general check-up to rule out anything neurological. Julio worries she may not want the tests.

At Luisa’s, Dalia wonders what Luisa gave her. Luisa just assures her she will feel better; and she left more of it prepared for later. When Dalia’s stomach starts grumbling and runs to bathroom, Luisa laughs because her remedy is already taking effect (teeheehee…Dalia, meet John, your tail will be his for a while).

Back at Hell’s den, HorHellia doesn’t want tests because it will cost too much. She doesn’t think it’s neurological because her head functions very well (we can all take a vote and decide otherwise). She thinks she fainted because she didn’t eat well yesterday. For now, she has too many things to do, so she tells Margarita to go tend to her lover friend…and Julio should run to Juana now that he knows she will get the money. After they leave, HorHellia hisses that NOW they’re worrying about her.
Sara tells Andrea about last night--the car stealing. Jorge acted like a true man…not at all gayish…maybe he’s just Bi. When Andrea gets message from Juana reminding her of doctor’s appointment, Sara gets a brilliant idea (NOT!) maybe the doctor could help Jorge with his problem. As Andrea writes a reply, Jorge arrives and opines that being gay isn’t a problem…he wonders who is gay. Sara quickly responds that it is just a friend and, of course, everyone has their preferences…no problem! After she makes a run for it, Jorge thinks she keeps getting stranger. He advises Andrea that he can’t accompany her to the appointment, but he has time to drop her off.

At Emilia’s, Osvaldo looks for a rental and sees they are not cheap, so Susana tells him he can stay there as long as he wants, but he doesn’t want her mother will think he is a moocher. Just then, Virginia calls to ask where he spent the night. After he replies that he was at a friend’s house, Virginia pleads with him to go back home, but he refuses. After he hangs up, Susana asks why he didn’t tell her he was at her home. Osvaldo explains his mother is not as liberated as hers.

At Porfirio’s office, Veronica is with Porfirio as he gives her instructions on what needs to be done that day. She gladly agrees to take care of everything as Margarita comes in to excuse herself for being late. She mentions her mother’s illness. Margarita plans to start on her pending case, but Porfirio lets her know that Veronica has already been instructed to take care of it. When Margarita gets upset because it was HER case, Porfirio retorts that he can no longer rely on her…she may leave at a spur of a moment. He adds that he doesn’t want to have any hopes with her and informs her that the property deed she was waiting for is on her desk. After she stomps out, Porfirio asks himself why he even bothers to think about her anymore…she will never be for him.

Julio is in his office on the phone explaining to a client about a transfer of money. He gets his roguish look because he has figured out how he will pay Emilia. He immediately calls her to ask where he should deposit the money, but she invites him to her house for dinner. He gladly agrees.

At the law office, Margarita quickly calls Antonio with good news, but he thinks it’s that she is no longer upset about the Julio issue. She isn’t upset anymore, but clarifies that the good news is about the property deed. She got a copy of the most current property deed…and it’s under Ricardo’s name (woohoo!! One more strike against HorHellia!! How many more before she is out??). She made his day; so he asks her out to supper…and, of course, she happily agrees.

At the shop, Ramón and Fabiola get in her car for a lesson. Ramón is looking forward to it because it’s the only place they can talk. After a second attempt, she takes off smoothly.

Andrea arrives at Dr. Linares’s office. He will try the hypnosis again and mention words that might trigger some memories. She’s all for it, so he starts to put her under…

Fabiola is driving along and needs to stop…Ramón yells at her to brake, but she can’t…the brakes aren’t working. The inevitable happens and they CRASH!! Both Fabiola and Ramón are knocked out as a young man comes along to render aid. As Ramón comes to, the young man asks if they need help. Ramón looks at Fabiola and calls her name, but she doesn’t respond; so he yells at the man to call an ambulance.

At the doctor’s office, Andrea is completely under, so the doctor starts with his list of words: 1) Airplane-no significant response; 2) Gift-no significant response; 3) Memory-no significant response; 4) Longing for love; and 5) Feel love--She fidgets and mouths “Jorge” then says “Jorge!”…and as she visualizes their kiss, she smiles.

At the hospital, Fabiola is rushed in still unconscious as Ramón runs besides her telling her to hold on. Francisco happens to be there so Ramón tells him they were in an accident. As Francisco leads the nurses in to check her, he tells them not to let the mechanic in.

At the law office, Porfirio is getting ready to leave when Veronica comes in with her big smile. When he tells her he is going to the court, then home, Veronica wonders if he is going to get something to eat and invites him out for dinner, but he’d rather have dinner at his place and invites her over (sneaky little weasel!) . Veronica asks if he has read the poems, and he replies “yes;” they are his nighttime reading. They joke about the poems putting him to sleep.

At the doctor’s office, the doctor counts to 3 and Andrea awakens, but doesn’t remember anything. He tells her she actually spoke a name “Jorge.” She writes he’s her cousin. The doctor thinks she has progressed tremendously since she spoke, even if it was just one word…it corroborates his diagnosis. When Juana comes in the doctor tells her Andrea spoke under hypnosis. Juana is super happy. The doctor now knows it is just psychological; and in Andrea’s case, since it’s a result of a traumatic event, her recovery should be quick. Juana is anxious to know what word Andrea spoke, but Andrea signals that he shouldn’t say anything.

Ramón calls Antonio at his office to let him know about the accident. Fabiola is still unconscience. Antonio runs outside and tells Lucho that he is leaving for the hospital because Fabiola and Ramón had accident…Fabiola was seriously hurt. As Chava overhears, he thinks they went too far (ya think?)…Fabiola wasn’t at fault for Rulo’s incident.

At the hospital, Francisco is the doctor who is checking Fabiola out (he is just one lucky dude to be there and care for her…ack!). Fabiola slightly opens her eyes for a second, then closes them, so he orders some tests.

At Porfirio’s house, he and Veronica enter and she admires his apartment. Porfirio suspects that she was probably expecting to see a mess. As she looks around, she sees a guitar and asks him to play something for her. He wonders if she is willing to take the risk, but he should know she likes taking risks. He agrees to play it (the guitar, that is) after they eat.

At the hospital, Ramón asks about Fabiola, but the nurse asks if he is family. When he tells her he is Fabiola’s boyfriend, she tells him Dr. Santillán asked for a CT scan. Francisco then comes out and pompously tells Ramón he will only talk to family. When Ramón grabs him to hold him back from leaving, Francisco threatens that if he ever touches him again, he’ll have him thrown out of the hospital.

Comments:
This was great RgvChick. Fantastic title!

Very clever comments, particularly "is interrupted by Ramón who has come to save the skank from the scum" and "loony passion den".

At first, I wrongly considered Rulo as a minor irritant who would somehow straighten himself up. “Chava warns him that Fabiola might drive the car…but Rulo doesn’t care…too bad, if it’s her time, then it’s her time”. Cold. Stone Cold. Any possible thought that he could ever be redeemed evaporated.

"Luisa is in the other room fuming (I’m surprised Ramón didn’t notice the smoke)". Yes, me too! I like this couple and their clandestine romance has been endearing. But I think it’s time Benito tells his mother so things can come out in the open. If they (and we) are having this much fun sneaking around, imagine the possibilities in broad daylight! Exactly how long is his mother supposed to be away? Seems like months (not that I’m complaining).

“Antonio assures Ramón that he holds her in high regard even if she doesn’t believe it”. Probably. But there is something about Antonio that sort of irks me. Is it that he is a tad bit dour? A tiny bit high and mighty?

I hope Dalia learned her lesson. She put herself in a bad situation. While I always prefer women "save" themselves, she was frankly too drunk to protect herself from Rulo's almost assault.

"Julio...gets his roguish look". What a shame that handsome face is attached to such a selfish, self centered loser. Is he going to try and play Emilia? Will father and son have a meeting? This could be fun.

I was glad Andrea's session resulted in her speaking (at least) one word. I hope things progress for her regaining her power of speech.

Is Veronica too good to be true? "He agrees to play it (the guitar, that is)" was perfect.

I hope the amnesia card won't be played and that Fab recovers quickly. I wonder if Ramon will put two and two together? Chava is scared and if pressed, will likely talk. I'm sure he's sorry he forced his way into a partnership with Rulo. He should never have agreed to tamper with the car.

Rgv Chick, glad your "baby" is doing well. Thank you for this outstanding recap!

Diana

"Surprised Ramoon didn't see the smoke." I'm surprised the smoke detectors in the whole building didn't go off.

Thank You, Ms RGV. This recap is like a perfect Taco. Just the right amount of spice to make it unforgettable. Yum.

Do these other YoHos in this show realize that 'Benny & Lu' are stealing their show? Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Is anybody not surprised that Ramoon vs Ruli was a two hit fight?
1 Ramoon hits Ruli,
2 Ruli hits floor.
Dahlia did not seem as concerned as some patioites about her predicament. Sometimes "I was so drunk' is a convenient excuse.

Porfi is at least smart enough to return like he is given. If I were Marg I would be updating my resume and attending some networking functions around town. As soon as Vero fiqures out the condescending, catty, bitch that she is, she will be let go. It appears she really does not have time for a job anyway. Good Luck with THAT lifestyle. I thought she was mad at Antonio anyway. Boy, that sure evaporated in a hurry.

There are a whole host of things why the car accident is bogus, from a car guy's point of view, but I will not bore you. IE: for instance why do they call it the emergency brake? They could have just as believably had one of the cameramen come into the scene and whack Fab with a baseball bat. Airbags?

kj

And is Frankenfarter the only Doctor in town? Convenient that it was on his shift, eh? Careful. Ramoon has a right uppercut that put a hurting on a much more substantial fellow. He'd break your skinny little neck Trivago guy.

Diana I am with you. I at first saw Rulo as an annoying mosquito who you just couldn't get a swat on. No I see he is a malaria mosquito.

He and doofus are not bright enough to cover their tracks, and any meaningful accident investigation would uncover that the car was tampered with, but I doubt that the TN will bother. If it were as easy as it is in TNs half the cars in America would have plunged over a cliff by now.

Your welcome, Kirby and Diana and thank you for your kind critique :-)

Diana, "But there is something about Antonio that sort of irks me." ITA maybe because he never really shows emotion? Could it be what this character is really supposed to be like or is it the actor who is not portraying the emotions appropriately. Whenever he speaks, his facial expressions don't convey the feelings he is expressing...IMO.

Kirby, "Do these other YoHos in this show realize that 'Benny & Lu' are stealing their show?" Yes, they are!! I love watching them together, tehy are hilarious...and even when thet aren;t together, they can steal the show...Benny in his teddy bear pajamas and then dancing a la Travolta...I just luuurve it!!

I think Rulo has surprised us all. What a scumball he turned out to be. Kirby, thanks for pointing all the bogus blunders...I didn't even think of the airbags.

I guess they had to bring FrankenFarter back into Fabi's circle so he can take advantageof the million$$.

And what's with Emilia?! Just a little flirtation??? with her daughter's BF?? ...and she thinks Osvaldo's dad is bad?? Look in the mirror, lady!!

"anybody not surprised that Ramoon vs Ruli was a two hit fight?" Love it Kirby.

"Could it be what this character is really supposed to be like or is it the actor who is not portraying the emotions appropriately. Whenever he speaks, his facial expressions don't convey the feelings he is expressing...".

I think you nailed the answer to my question regarding Antonio Rgv Chick. I think the character is being played as written. Overall. But I think there are times when yes, his emotions certainly aren't mirrored in his face. He has a nice smile but isn't overall a warm and fuzzy guy. I sense a bit of superiority in the character I can't lose.

Rulo can rot. :)

Oh and OT to Sandie, Esmerelda and Alfredo have broken up in real life (very recently it appears). Too bad, I thought they made a good couple.

Diana

Thanks ,Chickie. Your recaps are always a great way to start the day...which started out humid and overcast but is now sunny and warm.

Kirby, I have heard that expression. "You will hear two sounds... Me hitting you and you hitting the ground.

And here we go with Mrs. Robinson and spoiled little boy. Yawn.
I have to say that Luisa and Benny are the people having the most fun in thus show.

Thanks Rgv Chick this episode was fun and dumb.

Kirby LOL "Benny & Lu" yes absolutely these two have me laughing, Benny is so endearing and Lu she is just too funny. The predicaments they put themselves in are so simple and yet so funny, Lu under the bed with her feet sticking out...too funny.

Dumb because of the crash, and then Frank just happened to be at the hospital, can't stand him at all, I hate the way he treats Ramon.

The whole Porfi and Vero scenes, yawn, I could do without those.

Diana thanks for the info on the break up, too bad, I too think they looked good together.

Oh one other thing Emilia and Ozzie? yuk!!!

And yes Kirby, Ramon should have pulled the emergency break. Especially since he is a mechanic, scene not too well planned. But then it's a TN so we have to expect these blunders.

Thanks RGV!!!

Diana, totally worried about the amnesia thing. What else could break up Ramon and Fab so that Fran can try for the money? Only Sofia or amnesia!

Rulo is slime. I thought he was redeemable but no more.

Any chance Emilia's smile could be for Julio and not his son? She did invite him over for dinner. The moment Emilia finds out Julio is Os's dad, she'll know the money trouble he has and her spicket will be turned off.

Sandie "fun and dumb"... Heh.

Hi Alfredo,I haven't read you in awhile. You still got it baby. Thank you.

Ramon is gonna have a problem with the
Ex. Sorry no Account Dr.. The cheating
Jerk. I'm afraid he might do something
With a memory fighting drug, to keep
Her from remembering ramon. The granny
From middle earth would love that. The next time fabi should get a professional to teach her how to drive
Those cars have controls on both sides
For the teacher and student. When she
Can't put on the brakes, the teacher can. But the ex is gonna milk that for every Which way he can.

Don't like rulo. His jealousy has pushed him to the dark side. He don't
Care if someone dies just so he gets his Revenge on ramon, anybody else is just Collateral damage. That'll come back to Bit him in the ass.

Julio is already thinkin about how to get his gambling hands on the millions
Jaja better be careful with him. He's
Desperate,not above murder,look what
He did to his son, stole the car and sold it. Now that loooooow daddy. Ok
That's it for now.Wait one more granny
From he'll is just feelin sorry for herself, that hellion will bounce back.

Ok now I'm done. For now. Who wants another storm? Nobody!

Your welcome, Sandie , Carvivlie, and Nina,

Sandie, " fun and dumb" describes this episode perfectly; and I agree about the Porfi and Vero scenes...other than Marga losing out on a good guy, I can certainly do without this storyline.

Carvivlie, Although it would certainly be more appropriate, I really don't think Emilia was talking about Julio, her smirk was right after she talked about Osvaldo. Those looks they give each other will lead to no good.

Question for Kirby and NiNa: if all the brake fluid spilled, would it have done any good for someone else to put on the brakes...or emergency brakes?

Carvivlie, "Any chance Emilia's smile could be for Julio and not his son?"

Ummm. Honestly? Nopis...There seems to have been some sort of extremely inappropriate attraction the first time young Ozzie met not so wholesome older Harriet. I don't think there was any such attraction between the two "adults", although Julio would use anything or anyone if it would help him.

Diana

Ahhh Rgv Chick. I see we are on the same side regarding Emilia and Osvaldo. Shiver :) Yes, Benjamin and Mrs. Robinson works too Susanlynn!

Diana

Diana, i thought that first interaction was all on Ozzies side. Emilia seems smart and put together. id hate to see her mess around with the guy her daughter likes. Though it is obvious he is just using the daughter. Poor girl is decent enough. just in real need of affection.

I did too! That is until her hair appointment...The smirks kind of spoke for themselves.

Diana

I was a little bit in and out of the episode. Did Os flirt with her? Did she seem smitten at the time? I didn't see any reason for the smirk from their conversation. I guess I need to stop channel surfing. I just find him annoying so I turn him off.

Wait? What? Emili does not know that her daughter's boyfriend is Julio (gambling buddy's) son?

Sandie said: "l, I hate the way he treats Ramon." Just wait. I'd put money that before long Ramon will treat him worse. :-) As it appears Frankenfarter is the only Doc in town, someone should tell him whose handiwork (fistiwork) was on that bloody nose he just set. Yours could be next fart breath.

Unless the brakelines are on the same
Teacher Could put on the brakes if they're on separate lines.I didn't do
It that way so.....maybe. I don't know
If the em brakes is on the same line as the regular brakelines. Kirby what do you think? My knowledge of cars is rather limited, except fordriving, put in gas...ya know easy stuff. I should learn more cuz I just gota car 2months
Ago.
Wait until horhellia finds out she'll
Claim Ramon broke her granndaughter. 'Put him jail". Mean ol woman!

Hurricanes on one coast and earthquakes on the other. Prayers for the people that's in the paths of these disasters♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

The emergency brake is all mechanical operated by a cable running under the car. All cars in the past 30 years have had redundant brake systems such that if one springs a leak, the other one takes over. And in that case there is a brake light in the dash which usually tells you there is a problem when you start the car.

There is always the emergency super emergency "Put it in Reverse". Messy, but not as messy as what they did. And Fab being inexperienced, she wouldn't think of that. Shift into first and look for a friendly target. Turn the motor off, if it is a stick shift. And hers is, because she tried to start it in gear and it lurched forward, and they have made hay out of her trying to get the clutch right. And modern cars will not start in gear without the clutch being pushed down anyway. And hers is fairly new because it has blue LED lighting in the dash. Although they put a Hello Kitty sticker or something over the emblem in the grill it looks like a late model Honda Civic.

OK too much information, I'm sure.

Kirby, no not too much information, very interesting to know in case of an emergency. I wasn't sure about the emergency brakes because even in American movies, I've never seen them try to use the emergency brakes when the regular brakes go out.

Carvivlie, Emilia and Ossie don't outright flirt with each other..it's more "looks, devilish grins and compliments" Emiiia also insists that he call her by her name.

NiNa, I join you in prayers for all those affected by all the Mother Nature events. The earthquake in Mexico looks disastrous.

ALERT: Univision has been covering the earthquake all afternoon. Hopeofully it won't affect tonight's programming.

Kirby, "And is Frankenfarter the only Doctor in town?" - I was surprised they found another one for Horrortencia. I was ready for them to call Francisco.

Kirby: How's everything going on in the Sunshine State ?

RGV Chick: Julio is a PIECE OF EXPLETIVE!

Nina: I heard about the 7.1 Earthquake in Mexico City.

Steve, thanks for asking. For me, personally, everything is fine. There are still millions without power, and all the streets are lined with brush and trash. A few crucial traffic signals are still non functional.

RGV: I have driven cars for days without brakes, only using the emergency brake. It will not stop the car as quickly, as it only affects the rear wheels, and it usually latches, so it takes some practice to perfect your technique, IE: do not go too dam fast and plan on taking twice as far to stop. Pray no one pulls out in front of you.

Kirby, no, Emilia does not know Oz is Julio's son!

Very interesting information you provided about cars/breaks. "Although they put a Hello Kitty sticker or something over the emblem in the grill it looks like a late model Honda Civic" made me smile.

The death toll is rising in Mexico. Saying prayers for everyone there (in addition to the Jose and Maria (and past) hurricane victims.

I strongly suspect none of the TNs will air tonight, but don't put any stock in my opinion - we should know shortly.

Diana

Thank you RGV Chick, I always enjoy your summaries and retelling. I was laughing yesterday when Luisa gave Dalia that home remedy. Poor Dalia, but again she kind of brought it on herself. I'm just glad that Rulo didn't rape her and glad that Ramon came and saved the day. It was so funny to see Ramon over at Benito's place and he saw feet sticking out from under the bed, LOL...

I hope that Ramon can expose that someone did something to the brakes. I hope the shop has cameras!

My heart breaks for all those in Mexico who have been struck by this awful earthquake. May God be with them all.

Last I heard the death toll is over 200. And they are looking for trapped
Children in a school. And they be got this sign hanging outside that says
"Quiet", they're listening for moans &
Groans of trapped people. Keep the prayers goin, that could have been us,
Earthquakes,hurricanes,fires--earth---
Wind--fire,happening at the same time.
Thank God trouble don't last always.

You know it always seems that on soap-
Tns there's always the one doctor for
All the sicknesses.The unnamed illness
The gunshot, the stabbing, the Preggy
Test. You'd think this Dr was in the forever never ending Med school for years. He knows everything.know-it-all
Doctor.

NiNa I think FrankenFart must be the only one who works for free.
That could explain how he can't pay rent on that little storage cubicle he lives in.

The picture: door is open but nobody home.

Kirby. is that what's left of an eagle's nest? It survived the hurricane?

Looks like another TN-less night...

Kirby, I liked the abandoned nest. Displacement of man and nature. Very poignant.

Diana

That does look like it used to be... maybe an eagle's nest. I hope none of them got electrocuted on those wire and metal thingies, maybe they just abandoned it after the storm.Or during the storm, or hopefully before the storm.
Dr.'s make good money. FartyFrank must have been doing some wasteful spending to not even have any money to pay his rent. Just plain sorryness.

Diana: It is about time for the Eagles to start refurbishing their nests. It begins late(now) this month and next month. Almost all the Eagles have nests from previous years, so I have been lately going around to my (and their) favorites and checking to see if anyone is back yet. I took that the other day and on a whim put it up.

RGV it is probably just temporarily abandoned. Yeah, they survive pretty well. These two will be back as I have been watching them for years. If there is no FabMon tonight I will just photo bomb the patio. :-)

Eagles will usually pick the tallest tree for their nest. Here in Florida trees do not get as tall as the rest of the US, so many times a cell tower is the tallest. They do not like deciduous trees like oaks and such which are cluttered. They prefer pines which afford a view of their territory. I'd estimate that over half of the cell towers around me have either Osprey or Eagle nests in them.

Their nests can get pretty big. This one, the same pair have used this nest for fifteen years.

This is a different nest in a different tower, and you can get a better look at it.

Yes, teh second one is a better view...and go ahead and bombard away. No TN again.

Caught this guy sitting on the bank looking at his beautyness in the water. Or maybe had his eye on a fish. But these guys seldom fish from the bank.

Hmmmm...wonder which one is the Mama.

Those awkward teenage years where adulthood has not quite arrived yet. Not all brown like a youngster, but the white feathers have not made it to his tail and head yet either, but rather are just scattered around everywhere, as to call attention to his life in 'Not Quite' land.

Oh my, Kirby, that is one awesome shot...just look at that wing span...gorgeous!!

What do you mean which is the mama? I only see one flying...do I need new glasses? 0.0

The one before with two in the nest. One with her mouth open and the other listening. Do you know how to go backward through my pics?

OT...ok Kirby, you were raised on a farm. I'm going to test you...If a mama goat rejects one of her babies and she isn't producing enough milk to bottle feed, what's a foster mom to do?

This one

Oh yes, I did go back on your pics and saw that one with the 2 eagles, I just thought you were commenting on the current avatar. The one with the mouth open HAS to be the mama LOL no offense to the other ladies :-)

If you don't have any lactating mamas you buy the powdered milk and mix it with warm water and bottle feed it.

Yeah, I thought about the powdered milk, I just don;t want the baby to get used to it if it likes it better than the mama's milk. I do have other lactating mamas, but they just have enough for their own. I'm giving it lots of green grass and alfalfa hoping that it will help increase the milk production. I've gotten enough out of the mama up to now, but it seems she produces less each day.

The calves I had nursed ONLY the powdered milk and water until they were eating solid food and were healthy as can be. But you have to buy the powdered milk especially formulated for nursing animalitos. They always had cow milk and I assume they will have goat milk.

IE: When I rescued Lucky the squirrel, and he was a new-fricking-born, it was weeks till his eyes were even open, I fed him kitten formula from petsmart and he grew like a weed.

When I was an infant they gave me COWS milk and I didn't know the difference. :-)

If we get caught we will be in detention till they don't even make Doritos anymore.

See why it is called a red shouldered hawk? Bright rusty red shoulder patches.

My neighbor has a lactating cow and he offered to give me some of its milk. I thought maybe I could get some of that and mix it with whatever milk I get from the mama. Do you think that would be ok?

Talking about lactating cows, maybe Roxana will get prego from Agustin. If she can't nurse her baby, she could try some of my goat's milk...although I don't even have enough for my "kids" teeheehee

Oh wow, I do see the red patch...looks like it rubbed against a freshly painted something.

Where's Susy??? we can't even blame her for getting us off topic...or maybe we can blame her since she wasn't here to keep us in line LOL

Hey what about just buying normal goat's milk at the grocery store? And mix that with whatever you get from Mama. Or is goat milk really expensive? Some (human) mothers feed their infants goats milk, so I know it is available somewhere.

Roxy's would probably have a plastic aftertaste. Heh :-)

My understanding is goat milk is much richer than cow, so I'd be wary of giving it too much cow.

"Roxy's would probably have a plastic aftertaste. Heh :-)" So true!! LOL Her silly-cones would probably poison the poor baby...or at least give it the runs...

i looked into store-bought goat's milk...yes, expensive.

OK then look up homemade goat milk human infant formula. I have not researched it, but I believe you can add in the extra umph! to cow milk to make it nutritionally similar to goat. I saw something about Mothers making DIY 'goat milk' infant formula.

I think, anyway. I'm pretty sure a goat baby would survive on straight cow milk, but I would think he might not develop as fast. But I am no goat expert, I only know about goat rodeos. :-)

OK. Go do your research. It is news time here in Floricane. Thanks for entertaining me tonight in lieu of FabiRam. Nite

Good night, Kirby :-)

Yawn...good morning.

Hmmm...Kirby and Chickie, I suspect that you are both still in detention hall. It sounds just like high school...blame Susy.

Nina and Chickie, If you want to check out Outlander online, a woman named Connie Verbak does funny recaps of all the episodes with hilarious captioned screencaps. Googke "killing tine Outlander "You can get the basic story plus somevlsughs?

I went nature's way with my kids, but my mother gave me milk with Karo syrup in it as recommended by the doctor. Yikes.

Nina and Chickie...google "Connie Verbal killing time outlander" sorry...hurrying .

Verbak..thanks autocheck for turning Verbak to verbal..that's on you, autocorrect... geez..I need sleep .

SUSY we are saving you a seat.

Yep, Susy, a "hot" seat :-)

Kirby and Chickie..save me a seat near the windows. I'll bring the Doritos. 😈

That goat milk is a bit pricey, and its an acquired taste but it's good.My tia
Told me it was good for clearing out the left over cold out of the lungs after a nasty cold. So I went and bought some, and I must say it's abit
Shocking to the taste buds. Like I say
Its an acquired taste. Where a can of
Carnation say $1.59 or more that goats
Milk is somewhere around $3.69 for one
Can. Depends where you buy it from.but
It did help with the clearing of the cold.I even read online where this lil
Boy got help with his asma. Huh goat milk, go figure.

Got milk? Got goat's milk?

Many of my friends lived on dairy farms when I was growing up. They drank the milk fresh from the cows. I did not care for it.

I have never had goat's milk , but I like asiago cheese. #savedseat

"My Tia told me it was good for clearing the lungs after a bad cold" is what I was saying.

GOT MILK!! Thank God for neighbors...they brought me a half gallon of goat's milk for Reggie, #askandyeshallreceive

Oh, yay! Looks like LoonyV is back to regular programming.

Loony V back on? OK. But I think I like 'Goats of Our Lives' about as good.

And how in the helk is Fabi in a frickin coma? They were not going over 5 miles an hour. The airbags didn't even inflate. It's not like she fell out of an airplane. !

We established long ago that the people in Spanish TNs are real sniffers. So in the previews E V E R Y night Virginia has a jacket, (we assume Julius') and is sniffing, no inhaling, the collar. Does she smell a pile of roulette chips, Emilia, or maybe Wanna?

Maybe she just smells a skunk...or a skank...

"Goats of Our Lives" gave me a giggle..a goat giggle.

Yes,what is up with all the sniffing in telenovelas. However,I did see the bad girl troublemaker sniffing the hero's shirt in my favorite show. #eaudejamie They do say that it is a good sign if you like the way a person smells. #pheremonesdonotlie

Good early evening everyone.

I've missed a lot the last day! Sorry to have missed joining the conversation. Equally as painful, it appears I've also missed some of your beautiful shots Kirby. Rats.

Everyone's wit on fine display.

I am happy that so many have been rescued from the rubble in Mexico but sad so many have been lost.

I am looking forward to watching tonight.

Diana (feeling deprived as I've never had goat milk)

I wonder: Has Ruly considered how much it is going to hurt if Ramoon punches him even HARDER on that broken nose? IE: When (not if) Ram(bo)Mon discovers that (un)Ruly tried to kill him and his newly beloved?

In the last episode it (nose) appeared to be quite tender as he barely touched it and grimaced in pain. We trust that he was warming himself up for what he signed up for when the brake Wham-a-Jama is discovered. Consider how strongly Ramoon feels about DaliSkank as compared to Fabilousa. I assume the level of ass whipping will be proportional.

Must See TV

Oh you could have probably gotten a few hours of Home Ec or maybe even Junior college credit here yesterday. This aint no ordinary Goat Rodeo Honey.

CHickie..As I was going about my day , I started thinking about your goat rodeo. How many baby goats arrived recently ? How many moms and dads are there? are goats monogamous or free thinking?

Is it going to happen?

Yippeeee...It's on.
