Enamorándome de Ramón, capitúlo 30; Friday, September 22, 2017: Hortensia discovers Fabiola’s secret
We
begin with Francisco telling Fabi that he doesn’t quite understand how she can
be in love with anyone so “inferior” (referring
to Ramón). He pledges to wait for her, no matter how long it takes, because
she is the love of his life. (Or rather
the million $$$ is the love of his life.) However, Fabi lets him know that
these are her feelings about Ramón. He says, “Well, whatever you want.” Then he
turns around to go out the door and runs right into Ramón who is also bringing
roses to Fabi. Francisco leaves and Ramón wants to know where the flowers came
from. When she says that they are form Francisco, he asks, “So why did you
accept them?”
Fabi
says that it was just a minor gesture and Francisco didn’t know that she was
already with Ramón. But Ramón wants to know why she didn’t tell Francisco
yesterday! She then starts to get upset and tells him that yesterday, she
hardly knew her name because she felt awful. But Ramón starts to get pretty
rude and says that she must feel a lot better since Francisco’s visit! They
start to argue and Ramón demands to know why she didn’t tell Francisco that she
was already novios with Ramón. At this point Fabi is getting frustrated trying
to tell him that she did (I think Ramón
is rather hard headed) She finally tells him the only man she is interested
is him. “Throw the flowers away if you want.” Ramon misunderstands and goes to
throw away the flower he bought. Fabi stops him and says, “No, you blockhead,
NOT the flowers you brought! Throw away the ones that Francisco brought. Don’t
be dumb. The only man I want to be with is you, Ramón.” Ramon then tells her, “Oh
I so adore you.” Then they move in for a kiss.
Dalia
gets to work and right away sees Rulo. She asks what happened to him regarding
the broken nose and he tells her Ramón did this to him. Dalia is very surprised
and he wants to know what she remembers. He’s telling her what a good time they
had together and then tells her that they had been kissing. She is very shocked
as he goes on to tell her that he took her home, and she was hot as fire and
that for him. What an “incredible” night! However, Dalia is looking like she
has Excedrin headache #1000 and keeps shaking her head saying no. He keeps
telling her that this was the move wonderful evening of his life. She turns
around and tells him, “But for me it was not!” (Well if you are so drunk you
can’t remember what happened, it could not have been that good.) As she turns
away, Rulo mumbles to himself something about that she is “his” and no one else’s.
At
the hospital, Juana has arrived and Fabi is about ready to be discharged. Ramón
asks if she is coming back to work, but Fabi tells him that she will, but first
she needs to get some rest. “I’ll miss you” says Ramón. “I’ll miss you too”
says Fabi. Antonio comes in with her discharge papers so that she can now leave
as the bill is paid. Antonio jokingly says he is going to charge Ramón for the
hospital bill because of the driving lessons. They all leave together.
Virginia
goes to visit Roxana and they both hug. “Julio has another woman” says
Virginia. Roxana is still not dressed yet, as she is still in her robe. She
tells Virginia she is not feeling well and has stomach problems. She serves
Virginia coffee and Virginia begins to tell her about how she followed Julio to
a store and saw him buy flowers and wine. “When he came home, he said he was
with a client. But who else would he take flowers and wine to but another woman?”
Roxana asks what she is going to do but Virginia doesn’t know yet. “Roxana, I
will JUST DIE if I lose him! I’m going to murder that slut! I’ve loved him
since I was very young.” (Look honey, he’d
be doing you a favor. Get rid of this loser.) Roxana does advise her to
talk to Julio about what she saw. “What else is there to do?”
Juana
is at the bank and the bank officer has her sit down. She asks Juana about what
kind of an account she wants to open and how much money she plans to deposit.
When Juana tells her a million dollars, the bank officer asks her to leave
because she doesn't have time to play games. Without protest, Juana leaves and
the next client comes in and Juana picks up some pamphlets from this bank.
Ramón
arrives at work and Rulo comes up to him telling him he doesn’t want problems. Rulo
says, “I just want to explain what happened between Dalia and me the other
night.” But Ramon shakes his head skeptically and says, “There is nothing to
explain. You just got her drunk so you could take her home to your place.” “Look,
Dalia came with me willingly, we used to have something going before in the past.
But last night everything was going quite well until you came over and ruined
things. Then she got very nervous and then she wanted to leave. I know you
think you were trying to protect her. But the reason she was with me was because
she wanted to be there.” Still skeptical, Ramon then says, “Well maybe we
should see what she has to say about it.” Then he walks past Rulo as he shakes
his head and says, “The good thing is that she does not remember anything!”
Dalia
sits at her desk nervously while Ramón comes in and asks, “Is it true you went
to Rulo’s place of your own volition?” Dalia meekly nods yes. Ramon says, “But
I don’t understand. All you have ever said was you didn’t like him and didn’t
want anything to do with him. Then you go out with him and have some beers.
Then I go over there like some kind of fool to defend your honor and you’re
happy about it.” Dalia just looks at him and says, “Do I look happy?” “What did
you do, Dalia?” She starts crying and says, “I don’t know! I don’t remember
anything!” She gets up and runs out.
Antonio
brings Fabi home. She want to come to work tomorrow but he tells her to take
care of herself and rest. Then Benito comes running up to ask how she is. He informs
her that someone came and left her something, then brings out the bouquet of
roses. The note, from Francisco read, “You forgot these at the hospital.” With
a look of exasperation on her face, she said, “This is not going to be easy.”
The Benito walks her up to her apartment.
At
Porfirio’s law office, he’s trying to go over a case with Margarita is not
paying attention and in her own world. Then Porfi asks what is wrong. “What did
Antonio do this time that he’s distracted you from work so much?” “How well you
know me,” says Margarita. She goes on to explain that it’s Roxana’s fault. But
Porfi says, “Look, it’s either Roxana, Antonio, Diego, it’s all the same thing
and you’ll be paying that debt for the rest of your life.” Then Margarita tells
him how bothered she is because Roxana called Antonio and told him she isn’t
feeling well and will being going to the doctor. “And then he just got so
worried about her!” Porfi says, “Well that’s normal.” “What, normal after all
she has done to him?” Porfi says, “No, normal because she will always be part
of his life. You need to get used to it. This is what relationships are like when
you are with someone who is still married, with children, you will always be in
the same boat together.” Margarita then complains, “Here he was supposed to go
with me to look at an apartment with me, but then Roxana called to say she was
going to the doctor and now he can’t go since he now has to pick up Diego from
school.” Porfi then offers, “If you want, I can go with you. Margarita is happy
about that and says they can go at lunchtime. Then he hands her a file and
tells her to have the case for defense ready asap.
Veronica
comes to Porfi’s office and then she invites him out to lunch for the best
hamburgers he will ever have in his life. He accepts her offer then goes to
break his “date” for apartment hunting with Margarita. Marg is not pleased and Porfi
offers that the three of them can go and she shakes her head at that one. “You
really like this woman, don’t you? Do you go out with her very often?” Porfi
says, “Yes, to eat once in a while and I see her on weekends too.” “Weekends
too?” Marg looks very surprised. “Does this bother you,” says Porfi. “Oh no, I’m
just wondering how much in common you have with a young girl like her.” Porfi
explains that they like to do things together like bicycle riding, mountain
climbing, and also playing the guitar.” “Well then go with her”, says Marg.
Porfi says, “You aren’t angry, are you?” “No”, says Marg, “it’s just fine.”
Luisa
runs into Benito outside, says she is going to the supermarket and asks if he
needs anything. They start their silly talk of passion. He says he wants to
hear her scream tonight. Then he says he has a surprise for her and brings out
a single rose. She loves it, but asks where he bought it. He confesses that it
came out of a bouquet that Francisco left for Fabi. Not impressed, Luisa then
says, “It would have been better if you would have brought me a bunch of
cilantro.”
At
Julio’s office, Juana comes to see him and tells him about opening up a bank
account. She tells him about the bank that didn’t want to open an account for
her. The he calls his secretary to get things ready to open an account at an
international bank.
Roxana
is at the doctor’s office and tells the doctor she has been feeling sick to her
stomach. He asks if Diego and Antonia are feeling well and she says they are
just fine. So he will run some tests on her.
Julio
and Juana go to the bank he deals with so that Juana can open an account
because she is going to receive a large sum of money. The bank officer tries to
explain about the different investment options, but Juana does not understand
the different types of investment portfolios offered. All she wants is an
account to withdraw money to live on for expenses. Julio then explains that she
can have part of an account for investment to draw interest on and another to
use for expenses. Juana tells the bank officer that she will have the money in
about a week and at that time, they will explain all about how the accounts
work. Then Juana says some old country saying about first getting the goat and
later having a barbecue.
At
the doctor’s office he says she fine but just wants a urine and blood test. He
sends her to the lab. When she returns with the results, he gives her the good
news: “Congratulations, you are pregnant!” He recommends she see her gynecologist.
As she gets up from her chair, she is thinking: “Whose child is this? Is it
Augustín’s or Antonio’s? My God, who?”
Virginia
comes to Julio’s office and his secretary explains he’s out with Juana at the
bank. Virginia is not happy about that. She goes over to the bank, waits in the
car and sees them come out. She gasps and says, “Juana is his lover!” She
watches Julio and Juana from the car while Juana talks about getting tacos
together. She follows them.
The
mechanics at the shop with Rulo talk about Fabi’s “accident” and wonder how she
ran into a post.
Sitting
with Ramón at lunch, Dalia asks him if he is angry with her. “No, I’m not
angry. I just thought you didn’t like him or want to be with him. But this is
your business and I’m not going to worry about this.” Dalia then says, “Well
you know why I did this? I did it for you!” “No Dalia, don’t get me mixed up in
your business. If you go out with Rulo, or Guero, then that’s your business. But
you know what, you are abusing yourself. Rulo really thought he had something
going with you.” Dalia starts to tell Ramón that she loves him but decides to
just say, “Forget it all” and walks away. He just stares and can’t figure out
what is wrong with her.
Roxana
walks along and reminisces about her lovemaking with both Agustín and Antonio. “No
this can’t be happening to me.”
Antonio
picks up Diego at school but Diego makes it very clear that he wanted his mother
to pick him up.
At
the taco place, Juana and Julio sit down and order. He explains about how the
investments work and she says she knows nothing of that stuff. Pretty soon
Virginia comes, is staring at them from the window at first.
At
Fabi and Andrea’s place, Andrea comes home and give Fabi a hug. Fabi tells her
the problems she is having with Francisco concerning her relationship with
Ramón. Then there is the problem with Abuelita Horrortensia who would love to
have Ramón put back in jail if he ever came back to visit the building. Then
Andrea makes the suggestion that maybe they can move so that Juana can come
back to live with them. Fabi thinks this is a fabulous idea.
At
lunch, Julio and Juana continue talking when Virginia appears. “Buenas tardes”
says Virginia. “Señora, come and sit down here”, says Juana. Juana tries to
offer to get her some tacos, but Virginia isn’t interested. All she wants to do
is speak with Julio. Juana knows it’s her signal to exit and decides to leave
and excuses herself. Virginia confronts him about the flowers that he bought at
the supermarket. She admits to following him and finding out he has a lover and
accuses him of having an affair with Juana. He tries to explain that if he were
indeed having an affair with her, would she have acted so respectfully to
Virginia and behaved the way she did? He says he is doing all this to gain
Juana’s trust so that he can invest her money for her and she should not be
jealous.
At
the hospital, Horrortensia runs into Francisco. He tells her about the accident
and spills the beans to her about Fabi and Ramon’s relationship. Of course she
is livid about it all. Hortensia says it just can’t be, since he’s the son of a
maid. Then Horror spills the beans to Francisco about Juana getting the million
$$$.
Rulo
sees Dalia at her desk and tries to come on to her. Dalia flat out tells him
she feels nothing for him. “Don’t you know what happened between us?” says
Rulo. Dalia says she remembers nothing, but he says he sure does and carries it
inside, motioning at his heart. “You can reject me all you want, but I’m never going
to stop fighting to have your love in every way.”
Francisco
shows up at Fabi and Andrea’s place. He says, “Are you still mute or do you not
want to greet me?” Fabi comes out and says, “What are you doing here?” He tells
her that he’s there to see how she is. Fabi says, “Well I’m just fine, thank
you.” Francisco then tells them he saw their grandmother at the hospital. “Did
you know she is not in good health?” Andrea thinks that Hortensia might be
faking all this. Fabi doesn’t seem concerned because of all the things
Hortensia has done to them. “Come on now, this is your grandmother” says
Francisco. “Well”, says Fabi, “She sure hasn’t acted very grandmotherly.”
Francisco says, “Remember, she is an older lady, you need to forgive her.” Fabi
says, “What? Forgive her? How can I when she threw Juana out, she made trouble
for our life insurance benefits to Juana and has interfered in other ways. All
she has done is hurt us. In fact we are thinking of moving so that we don’t
have to see her anymore.”
Ramón
calls Fabi and they do their little love talk again. She sends him a kiss
through the phone and he returns the favor. But then he has to get back to
work.
Julio
and Virginia continue arguing. She finally tells Julio to stop seeing Juana or
she will tell Juana that all he is really interested in is the money.
Margarita
is with the real estate agent, signs the papers and gets the keys to the place.
In her fantasy, Antonia and Diego come to the door with a bottle of wine. Diego
is very glad to see her.
Roxana
laments some more about who the baby belongs to. Ding dong! It’s Antonio
bringing Diego home. Antonio is very concerned about her and wants to know if
she is okay. Then her phone rings and it’s Agustín calling with some bad news.
He has no job in Miami anymore as the company is closing down their quarters
over there. So he has to come back to Mexico. Roxana wants to know what he is
going to do in Mexico. Agustín says, “Well, I’m going to look for work and come
to live. I though you still wanted to be together. Or is that no longer true?”

I'm not done. They use those security peep holes in the door almost every time. When it is Frankenfart out there, W H Y open the door? Tell him he is not welcome and if he is there after that call security or the popo.
I don't believe I have ever watched a TN with this many women I wouldn't pee on if they were on fire. Fabi and LuLu I like, but the rest can stay in hell.

Wow..the messages from these telenovelas have sure changed since I first started watching them ten years ago. Even the " good girls"(Marg, Juana) are pursuing married or separated men. Then, there is Roxy sleeping with both her estranged husband and new guy. is this a sign of the times and changing attitudes?
Sofia is due to arrive any time now to complete the love rectangle. How can Fab not see through pompous Fran?

Where is whirlwind Sofia? I do believe Ramon loved her. A different kind of love than Fabi, granted. However, Sofia is definitely hazardous to his health.
I agree that the peep holes here aren't being used as they should be. BadFran is exactly the person you don't want in your home (among others)...so a bit more vigilance is certainly in order..
And Virginia simply managed to annoy Julio (even further). Of course, he isn't romantically interested in Juana at all which Virginia should have realized as she is of the same elitist entitlement class as he.
Rgv Chick, I think Virginia does have a clue. Granted, not the right one as Juana is off base, but she does have some intelligence. I think she said it herself. For whatever reason she wants to save her marriage and save face. She sadly believes she can badger him into doing her will.
Susanlynn, Roxi is a victim of her own indecisiveness. You asked an excellent question about the "evolution" of women in TNs. I think more characters (men and women) are being painted in various shades of gray. Imperfections (some glaring) are becoming more the norm. I still yearn for the mythical "perfect couple". So far, Robert and Julieta over on Familia, embody that for me.

My take on Marg is that until she feels totally confident that she has Antonio lassoed, hogtied and 'Property of Margarita' tattooed across his ass, and has Diego on board with it, she wants to keep Porfi hanging on too. As things are, Poorfi looks to be providing her a comfy well paid job in which she has an unheard of amount of freedom.
If Veronica replaces her in Poorfi's heart her easy ride might come to a screeching halt. IE: Show up for work on some repeatable schedule, stay continuously at said work for some agreed upon amount of time, and actually DO something in the interest of the firm while she is there.
What we have primarily seen her do lawyering wise is work on her boyfriend's divorce and the custody his son. Poorfi is no dummy and has to have a clue.

Kirby..I liked the photo. Blue is my favorite color , and I love trees. Hubba and my dad pulled a couple out of our woods to plant in the front yard years ago. They provide shade for the big living room bay window, but now, I am grumbling because the whole area in front of the house is filled with dry leaves. It feels more like summer here than fall, but the new crops of apples are in and we put out the fall decorations today. #confusing

For me, things are pretty much normal, personally, but the state is still torn up badly with lots of big trees blown over. They have gotten out and cut them back off the roads, but there are brush piles lining most of the streets. I am trying to wait for gas to go back down before I go out and replenish all the gas I pumped out of the boat, Jet Skis, John Deere and other things during and after the storm. Other than that, stores are open and life goes on.
I suspect the storm had weakened a little by the time it got up near NiNa, but they have a pretty big river up there that floods.

Susie I don't raise or own any of those animalitos, but my understanding is that for purposes of gender specific naming, the identifying marks are similar among all the creatures of interest. ? ? ? ? IE: a lot different from,...say chickens, early on.

I'm glad the kid is safe and sound and doing well Rgv Chick. I love the name "Rudy" (one of my all time favorite movies with the underrated Sean Astin) but "Ruby" is nice as well.
I'm sure there is much to clean up Kirby. I can't imagine how those who lost their homes are feeling, let alone those who lost loved ones (the hurricanes were bad enough but the earthquake seemed unmerciful).

OT: Question for Susy, our grammar expert: Why is it that when I type the contraction "it's" in a sentence (in Notepad) such as "It's good news" my grammar checker indicates something is wrong...and when I remove the apostrophe, it doesn't indicate an error?

"It's " is a contraction for "it is," whereas "its" is a possessive adjective, as in "The dog (or goat) ate its food. In very formal writing, you are not supposed to use contractions , so that may be why your grammar checker does not like " it's."

Hi everyone! Great comments, I had fun reading through all of them. Was so busy during the weekend I didn't really get a chance to check in and comment.
One thing on my mind about Fabi's and Ramon's accident, was why didn't the airbags work? And why were they not wearing seatbelts? Also, Ramon being a mechanic should have figured out something right away when Fabi put on the brakes and the car wouldn't stop. He needs to inspect the car and go into CSI mode. :) As a mechanic, he should know that brakes just don't fail for no good reason. Also if he's been a limo driver, every good driver pre-trips a car before driving.

I have been mucking around with the boat all day and just now opened Caray and heard about Sweet Potatoe pies, and car guys and shootings and birthday pies and such.

I have been on Caray a long time and TeleNovela World too and ours is the best.
