Enamorándome de Ramón; Capítulo 35; Friday, September 29, 2017: Francisco gets Dalia’s help to reconcile with Fabiola
We
begin where Alfredo left off yesterday:
Julio is at a bar with a patron and tells him that he is having some
romantic troubles, as he’s interested in a woman below his social standing. The
patron thinks he should go for it regardless, especially if the woman is
pretty. Either way, Julio doesn’t need her to give conferences. Julio thinks
about this but admits that Juana is intelligent, in her own way, and has a good
intuition and instinct; he is sure should could’ve gone far if she could’ve
studied. The patron asks him to stop denying his feelings, as he is obviously
into this woman, and show her the way to paradise. Julio considers this as a
devilish smile crosses his lips.
Then
Julio says, “You know what she told me, she told me that she has never been in
love.” The drinking buddy responds, “Well then, show her the way to heaven.”
At
Luisa’s house, she gets a text message from Benito that says, “Changita, I’m
here outside. Please come out so we can talk.” To that, Luisa responds a very
firm, “NO!” Benito then says in his next text message that he can stay there
all night like a night watchman until she comes out. Luisa responds by saying, “I
already told you no! I’m going to go to sleep now.” Not daunted by Luisa’s
refusals, he has another plan. He crouches down by the front brick wall and
starts making very annoying noises that sound like a cat in heat.
Meanwhile,
Ramón is trying to get some sleep so he gets up to tell Luisa who suggests that
this cat in heat needs to have a cold bucket of water poured over him to get
rid of the “heat”. So that’s what Ramón does, he fills up a large container of
water to pour over the wall to get rid of the “cat in heat”.
When
Benito gets hit with the water, he yelps and Ramón comes out saying, “What on
earth are you doing out here, Benito?” Ben tries to make excuses saying, “I was
just walking by and was trying to find this cat that was howling.” Luisa comes
outside and just watches what happened. Ramón then says, “Are you alright?”
Benito just stands there, soaking wet, and nods.
Back
over at Benito’s mother’s place, Adalgiza asks Fredesvinda where Benito works.
She says he works over as a watchman for an apartment house. Then Fredesvinda
asks about her work in the “states”. Adalgiza says she taught English classes
and also worked in a funeral home which she really enjoyed doing. Fredesvinda
tells her she can get a job there teaching English. Then Adalgiza wants to know
what Fredesvinda does for work. She explains that she bakes cakes and such, but
she does work as a medium and “cleans” peoples’ “chakras”, helping them out
with their problems.
Then
Benito comes home soaking wet and Fredesvinda is very surprised, asking him
what happened. So he gives the story about how he stopped to hear some guys doing
some serenading and he just stopped to listen. Then someone came out and threw
a bucket of water on him. Adalgiza begins to take off his clothes while his
mother goes to get him a towel.
Next
morning Benito is sneezing as he runs into Luisa who again mentions that
throwing water on cats in heat is the best way to get rid of them. “But it sure
is good that you have your cousin over there to help take care of your cold”,
says Luisa. Benito says, “You must be jealous, right? Well Mom wants me to take
my cousin and show her around the city.” Before Luisa walks away, she says, “Well
I hope that next time I see you, it isn’t too late!”
Dalia
walks through town back to work and is ambushed by Francisco. He starts to grab
her and she tells him, “What do you want, you stupid idiot?” He tells her he knows she is the one who made
the phone call. “I’m going to give you two options. Either you help me break up
Ramón and Fabi, or I will go to him and tell him that you were the one who told
me they were moving in together.” Dalia then says, “You are crazy and you have
no idea what you are talking about.” After he tells her that he overheard Luisa
say something about this, she admits to being the one who called. “You need to
know that your little girlfriend is going to go live with Ramón.” Then
Francisco says, “That is not true and it is your fault I made a fool of myself!
Ramón is going to go live by himself.” “Well this is news to me,” says Dalia.
Then Francisco says that she owes him now and needs to pay him back. How? By
informing him of everything that Fabi and Ramón are up to. “So what’s in it for
me”, asks Dalia. Francisco says, “Well if I get Fabiola back, then that clears
the way for you to get together with Ramón. Do we have a deal?” Dalia seems to
like this.
At
the auto shop, Fabi and Ramón are talking and goofing off. Dalia comes walking
up but is stopped by Antonio. He is calling her out on being late to work and
tells her not to let it happen again. He then walks over to Fabi and Ramón,
giving Ramón some work assignments. Fabi asks if he is going out. Antonio says
he is going to do some errands and will pick up Diego from school. “Call me on
my cell if you need me.” In the background, Dalia mumbles to herself something
about what she has to do to break of Ramón and Fabi.
A
doctor pushes Roxana in a wheelchair and asks how she is feeling. She answers
that she feels a little bit sick. He tells her that she needs bed rest for 48
hours and that the results of the DNA will be ready in about 72 hours.
At
Julio’s office, Jessica brings him some client files, then asks for the
financial records of Virginia’s business. Since Virginia already has them, she
calls Virginia and asks that she bring them back because Julio wants to see
them. Then Virginia asks her secretary to make copies of everything. She calls
Roxana and asks her to review her business records.
Osvaldo
and Susana are making out in the living room and Emilia walks in angry! Osvaldo
apologizes, but Emilia says they need to respect their home. She also tells
them that this arrangement was only supposed to be for a few days and in her
house, she makes the rules! Osvaldo, visibly upset, walks out and starts to
pack up. Susana tries to talk him into staying, but Emilia asks to speak with
him alone. Emilia then tells him she will find him a place to stay. A few
minutes later, Susana walks in and wants to know what her mother told him. He
explained that it’s because they are novios and it just isn’t respectable under
one roof. Susana said, “Since when did my mother become so moralistic?” Then
they talk about getting a place together, but Os isn’t ready for that quite
yet.
Andrea,
Sara, and some other girls are sitting around looking at some guys where Jorge
is included. One girl makes a comment about one guy being so handsome and another
makes a comment about Jorge being such a galán. Sara bursts out laughing and
tells Andrea, “Why don’t you just tell them that Jorge is gay!” But another girl
says that Jorge was once her boyfriend and he does not have one bit of “gay” in
him and goes on to swoon about their time together. Sara just looks at Andrea
and does not look pleased. They get up and Sara asks why Andrea told her that
Jorge was gay. “If he isn’t gay, why did you tell me that? So I would leave him
alone?” By this time Sara is crying and
angry with Andrea letting her think that Jorge is gay.
Luisa
is with Juana over at Fabi’s and Andrea’s place complaining about Benito and
his cousin. Juana tries to talk some sense into her as that the relations
between Benito and his cousin are just familial and nothing to worry about. But
over at Fredesvinda’s place, she is making cookies when Benito comes home.
Fredesvinda asks Ada to get her the sugar, so she asks Benito’s help in opening
the container. He obliges, but in the process of opening, they get powdered
sugar all over themselves. Then Fredesvinda has a “vision” of Benito and Ada
getting married! “The sugar has spoken!” says Fredesvinda.
Sarah
meets Jorge at the cafeteria at school and asks him for another chance with
him. But Jorge says they have already talked about and he can only be friends
with her. She asks if he is in love with Andrea. He says no, but she tells him
it looks like Andrea is. “By the way, did you let me think you were gay so that
I would get away from you?” “Look I don’t know what anyone has told you, but I
know you were in love with me. But I’m sorry, I have a class to go to.” Jorge
just gets up and leaves while Sara sadly looks on.
Julio
meets another businessman about one of his clients perhaps investing in that
company. “So how much are we talking about?” Julio says, “Oh about $100,000.”
Virginia
comes back to give Jessica the files and asks if she knows where Julio goes
when he meets with clients. “You are the one who keeps his agenda” says
Virginia. Jessica says that he mostly meets with the clients in the office. Virginia
says, “Don’t lie to me. Very well then. Thank you.”
Porfi
and Veronica are dining together and she asks him what he is thinking about. He
admits he is thinking about Margarita. “Last night I went to her apartment and
she was having dinner with Antonio.” “Well that’s normal”, says Veronica. “Aren’t
they going out together?” He confesses to her that ever since he knew her at
the university, he’s been in love with her, but for her, it’s always been a
platonic relationship. But now, he says, he is going to live for what is here
and now. Veronica also advises him that once a woman thinks of a man as just a
friend, it really doesn’t go anywhere. They toast to a new Porfirio so that he
can move on in life.
Julio
arrives with some investment paperwork for the girls to look over. He explains
it’s a wind and solar company. Julio explains what good deal this is because
the company is expanding. He tells them how much it will be and Juana wants to
talk about it with Don Pedro first. Andrea says that she will agree to it if
Don Pedro approves this.
Virginia
arrives at Roxana’s place and they talk about whose baby it might be. She hands
Roxana the files and she will be looking them over.
Outside
in the street, Benito accompanies his cousin Ada while Luisa walks up and sees
them. Fredesvinda tells Luisa, “Oh did you notice what a lovely couple they
make? I think they are going to end up married.”
Andrea
gets a text from Jorge who asks to meet her outside the door. She’s in her
pajamas, so she grabs her robe and comes out. When she comes out, Jorge asks
her, “So why did you tell Sara that I’m gay? Maybe you have accepted now that
you are just as in love with me as I am with you.” The music begins and they
move in for the kiss. They talk a few minutes later about their being cousins,
but Jorge says that they can’t just stop loving each other. “Yes we are cousins”
says Jorge. “But I don’t care.”
Luisa,
at home now gets a call from Benito, wishing her a good night. But she’s not
happy about anything that is going on!
Fabi
helps Ramón look for his own place and they find the perfect place for him. He
pays the rent and the landlady goes to get him the keys.
Antonio
picks up Diego from school and he has a stomach ache. Diego tells him he needs
to vomit. So Antonio calls the doctor and sets off to the doctor’s office.
Don
Pedro wholeheartedly approves of this investment, but all Julio can think about
is the commission he will make off of it.
Next
morning Luisa comes to Benito to tell him that she saw him with Ada and how his
mother went on and on about what a great couple they made. She accuses him
about enjoying himself so much with Ada. She is angry with him and he says to
her, “What does Ada have that you don’t?” Luisa gets mad again and pushes him
down.
At
the doctor’s office, the doctor congratulates Antonio mentioning that Diego
will soon have a new sibling. Antonio looks bewildered, but the doctor says, “I
was the one who examined Roxana and gave her the good news she was pregnant.
She thought she had a stomach problem but it turned out to be pregnancy.” At
that point, the nurse calls Diego into his pediatrician’s office.
Roxana
goes over Virginia’s files and lets Virginia know that there are some large
unreconciled amounts that have no back up or justification.
Ramón
calls Juana to tell her that he found a place to live and is very happy.
Osvaldo
is apartment hunting online, but says that apartments are very expensive.
Dalia
calls Francisco and tells him that Fabi and Ramón went apartment hunting.
Agustín comes in (I didn’t realize Agustín was living there) and he says he
will help with expenses and suggests that Francisco rent out the other room,
after all it’s in a very good area. (Hmmm…I
wonder who will be the renter. Me thinks this might be Osvaldo’s next abode.)
At
school, Andrea and Jorge talk. He wants to kiss her but she pushes him away. She
asks about his former girlfriend, Natalia. He admits that they were once
together but that was a long time ago and it wasn’t important. “The only one
who matters to me now is you”, says Jorge. “I’ve always loved you”, Jorge says.
Sara is in the background looking jealous.
Antonio
is driving Diego home and the phone rings. It’s Roxana and he doesn’t want to
answer. He thinks about the times he was with her in bed but then tells
himself, that she was with Agustín too and it very well could be his baby.
Margarita calls and he doesn’t say much except that Diego got sick and had to
take him to the doctor.
At
the bank, Virginia goes in to confirm the transactions were made by Julio.
At
the law office, Porfirio asks Veronica if she will have dinner with him. “What
time should I be ready?” He tells her at 8:30 p.m.
Virginia
calls Roxana to tell her that Julio is responsible for those bank transactions.
Then Roxana says, “Your ungrateful husband is robbing you. What are you going
to do?”
Roxana
calls Antonia to find out how things are going with Diego. Antonio says that
things are fine, Diego is asleep, and he just finished taking Diego to the doctor.
“Oh I hate it when these things happen and I can’t be there to attend to him.”
Antonio says, “Well that’s why you have me. What time are you going to come
over and pick up Diego tomorrow?” Roxana says, “Oh sometime about midday.”
Antonio then says to himself, “And then you can tell me about your being
pregnant.”
Virginia
puts the files in the drawer and thinks to herself about what Julio could be
spending the money on. Bills? Another woman? Could it be that he is gambling again? Then the doorbell
rings and it’s Sara. She wants to come in and talk to Virginia about Jorge’s
and Andrea’s relationship. “Did you know that Jorge and Andrea are in love? I
just can’t sit around with my arms crossed and watch them do something
incestuous together. You have to help me to split them up because they are
doing something unnatural together. So tell me, what should we do?” (Maybe she needs to go see Dalia and take
lessons from her). Virginia is not liking what she is hearing and looks at
Sara skeptically and says, “Nothing. I don’t need your help or your good
intentions. Is that all you have to say?” She opens the door for Sara to leave.
“I don’t know how it came to you that Jorge and Andrea are in love. You can
leave now.” Virginia lets her out then shuts the door. She then thinks to
herself, “I never knew the day would ever come that I would have to tell Jorge
that I’m not his real mother.”

I must say, Benito's 'Pussy Galore' was the highlight of the show so far. That cat had this dog howling. If that is a cat in heat, they are as bad as humans when they get the urge to merge aren't they?

Sara is relentless. And annoying. Too bad she is going to try and spread her incestuous accusations, which will be harmful to both Andrea and Jorge.
I wonder if the doctor congratulating Antonio was a breech of ethics? Was it appropriate that he congratulate Antonio? I'm on the fence. Does anyone have an opinion on this?
I like the way some things may appear clear cut, but aren't. I don't know who Antonio, Marg, Porf and others will end up with. Julio and Juana's relationship is too murky - too many issues. I don't know if he is actually falling for Juana but he is not a good person and then of course there is "pesky" Virginia to consider. And let's not forget Betito.
Has Porf really moved on or is he just trying to convince himself?

I don't like Virginia but I loved how she handled Sara, not giving her the satisfaction of being upset. I also liked that her first instinct was to make sure they knew it was okay bec they are not blood related, rather than try to break it up.
If Julio makes a commission on the investment I have no problem with that. As long as he doesn't steal the money.

Now if Roxana, had told him they were going through a divorce, I think then it would be a breech. Found this on the web The HIPAA Privacy Rule at 45 CFR 164.510(b) specifically permits covered entities to share information that is directly relevant to the involvement of a spouse, family members, friends, or other persons identified by a patient, in the patient's care or payment for health care.
I think Porf has accepted that he has no chance with Marg, but as with any other star gazed lover, he is trying to convince himself to move, but will take his time in doing so.

Susy, when the nun approached Julio about adopting Jorge, she told him the baby's mother had died; and they had no information on who she was or her next of kin. Finding his biological father is almost impossible...unless Jorge can find someone at the hospital who happened to have some information they didn't reveal....which in TNLand could very well happen.
Jorge is sharp. He will immediately ensure that the car is in his name and his ONLY. Especially after that abortion with his 'brother's' car.

OT...CHickie...That photo is beautiful. is that a flower in your garden? hibiscus? the color is intense. My older daughter sent me a big planter for Mother's Day , and I believe that one of the plants in it is a Canna . It has big dark green leaves and grows shoots with red\orange flowers. I have seen similar flowers in yards around here, so I think it is a perennial and will try to plant it outside. Wish me luck! #nogreenthumb.

I have noticed that like many of the new telenovelas, there is a lack of priests\religion and marriages. We don't know anything about Ray and Dalia's fathers. Julio does not seem to love Virginia. Ant and ROx are separated. Benito cannot tell his mother about LUisa so he cannot commit to her. Everyone else is single. Times they are achanging.

Susy, you're so right about current TNs and marriages/religion. In fact, the last TN I watched that had a priest was ECDLP; and the was a more "modern" priest than the priests of yesteryear. Silvia Navarro is a fav of mine but I hesitate to watch Caer en Tentación" because if the main storyline...infidelity...

Congrats on the rain. Hibiscus are beautiful flowers, and grow in a lot of different colors. But FAST. The ones I have had near the house, soon after they start blooming the next thing I knew they were up to the gutters already.
Hopefully the long hot dry Summer is winding down. It has already begun to cool off in the evenings here. Dry, you know, except for HURRICANES. We have not had that drenching every day rainy season like the tropics are known for in five or six years now.
If the grazing grass comes out you can stop furtively stealing your neighbor's lawn mower clippings at night. :-)

Are we feeling powerful? If I were not so sleepy, I would think of something clever to say . All I can think of is real detention hall and three guys who gave me trouble and I gave them another detention hall. They came looking for me the next day.I really hated monitoring detention hall.
