Caray, Caray!

A deserted alley--El Chulo asks if Alonso wants it all to end like this. He doesn't understand why Alonso thinks he is betraying him. Alonso makes money from his businesses. Alonso is angry that Gerardo is about to get out of jail. Somebody, and he doesn't know who, made a move. El Chulo swears it wasn't him. So, who did? El Chulo doesn't know and doesn't want to know. He is interested in making money and not politics. He tells Alonso that he can ask Escalante to verify that fact. Alonso asks what Escalante has to do with this. El Chulo smirks and states that Escalante is behind the finances and reminds him that Escalante is the public face of his money laundering business. Alonso concludes that Escalante is behind it all. El Chulo says he always has been. El Chulo quickly pulls his pistol and asks if they are going to get back to business or what. Alonso gives the sign and all the weapons are lowered and put away. The stand-off is over. El Chulo is still smirking.

Gerardo's Jail Cell--El Cuervo is giving Gerardo his money's worth filling him in on Mario and his prostitution/extortion business. Mario has an associate: Isela owns a cabaret where the girls come from. El Cuervo worked for them. Gerardo adds that Mrs. Barcenas discovered that he was selling protection to them. Yes, but he didn't end up with much money because it is an organization and the money ended up getting divided up just like here in the jail. El Cuervo has something to confess. Before killing Pacheco, he had information that if sold to him was going to make him a millionaire. The information was about Mario's dirty businesses with the most important fact being that Mario was Cecilia's father and Isela her mother.


Regina's Office--Noemí is presuming that Regina is feeling about finding out that Cecilia is her sister the same as she: the worst nightmare of her life. Regina is still in fantasy land saying there must be a mistake or explanation or something. Her mother insists it is true. She puts it all out there one more time. Cecilia is her sister that her father had with that prostitute he cheated on her with. Mario put Cecilia to work with Alonso to manage his dirty businesses. Regina is still trying to find any kind of excuse to avoid the truth. Why didn't her mother tell her earlier? She didn't because Mario threatened to kill her and he is capable of doing it. Noemí apologizes but says she had to tell her now. An argument starts when Noemí takes a flask out of her handbag. Regina cannot believe she is going to drink. Noemí asks if Regina does not realize that Mario is using them and he doesn't care about anything. At that very moment, Mario walks in with José. The first thing Mario says is that it is clear that Noemí can't stop drinking. That, of course, explains all of the stupid things she says. Noemí does not agree. She tells Mario to tell Regina that Cecilia is his daughter. Mario tells José to remove his wife. Regina says her mother is not going anywhere and asks José to leave and close the door. Mario starts accusing Noemí of being crazy. She defends herself. As they continue shouting at each other, Regina tells them both to shut up. They are all staying in her office to find out if what her mother is saying is true.

Gerardo's Jail Cell--El Cuervo continues. When Regina confronted her husband Alonso, Mario had Cecilia hired to corner Alonso. Mario is addicted to power and will not think twice about killing anyone who gets in his way. Gerardo asks if he has any names. El Cuervo has so many names that he could put Mario away for many years. What about being a witness against Mario? El Cuervo doesn't know. He has no guarantees. Gerardo says he could get him protection. El Cuervo repeats "protection", backs away and laughs out loud. As he continues laughing he tells Gerardo that he knows nothing. On his way out, he is still laughing and adds that Gerardo is really out of the game.

Gerardo's apartment--Ximena tells Teresa her pregnancy test came out positive. Teresa grabs her, throws her in her room and locks the door. She can live with the consequences. Ximena is screaming for her to let her out as Teresa leaves the apartment.

A deserted alley--Alonso is talking and walking with El Chulo followed by their retinue of guard-goons. Alonso asks who is going to support a woman? That is just going to put the brakes on all of their business. If any of them think they will be able to operate freely with Regina, they are very wrong. El Chulo says it was Escalante's suggestion. Alonso gets to the point. He has never needed an intermediary to talk to El Chulo. He will make it clear. he wants Escalante to pull all of his support from Regina. He is going to be the president of the country. El Chulo adds he can count on that! Alonso is also going to ask El Chulo for a favor. At all of Regina's public appearances he wants some sort of violence to occur. It will be good for Alonso's campaign and it will hurt her image. It is either him or her. Who is Chulo going to choose? El Chulo already has made his decision. He offers his hand to Alonso and they shake on it. El Chulo has a bit of advice for Alonso before he goes. He needs to watch out for Mauro because he is after Alonso's money. El Chulo also needs all of the requests for bids signed and he will make sure Alonso gets his money. Alonso needs to take account of it on his end. Alonso thanks him for the information. They shake again, give each other a brotherly hug and leave.

Regina's office--Mario is now accusing Noemí of making things up. Noemí is asking him to tell Regina the truth for once in his life. Noemí adds that Mario put Cecilia to work with Alonso to manipulate him and also to sleep with Regina's son. Mario tells Regina she can think whatever she likes. When she feels like talking alone with him, she can give him a call. Regina will not let him go so easily. He was the one to admit to a double life so why should she not also believe this? He does not care what she believes. He is sick of being the one who is guilty of everything. If she wants to go ahead and believe her mother, she can do just that. He goes to open the door and Regina tells him he is doing what he always does when things need to be resolved. He runs away. Mario thought that Regina was more reasonable. He exits. Regina still does not know what to believe. Noemí tells her to talk to Cecilia. She will tell her the truth.

Escalante's office--Lorena tells Escalante about the meeting between El Chulo and Alonso and how he is going to support Alonso. Escalante says El Chulo can deal with whoever he wants. He still has to settle his accounts with his bosses even though after El Bizco's death he wasn't stopped very well. Lorena is going to have to keep a close watch on him. Lorena is concerned about the higher ups. Escalante boasts he has always been a survivor. He is sure that if it ever came down to El Chulo (Joaquín) or him he has a couple of million dollars he could use to his advantage. Lorena has an idea that could erase that risk: get rid of Joaquín. Escalante's ears perk up. She has information about this girl that is going to be brought up north. Maybe they could involve him in some human trafficking. Escalante wants all of the details. Lorena knows where the girl is being held. Escalante says that they are going to start a small war within the organization.

Gerardo's jail cell--Gerardo gets the news that a judge has decided to release him. El Cuervo has some words of advice: to be careful because those who were responsible for getting him freed are going to ask him for many things as payback. Gerardo asks who got him out. El Cuervo really doesn't know. He tells Gerardo to find out. El Cuervo's final words: He tells Gerardo to have a good life and he better not forget that he owes him.

Hospital hallway--The lawyer arrives at the hospital to see Omar. He is greeted by Magda who tries to ferret out information about just what he wants Omar to sign. The lawyer won't tell her. Natalia proclaims that their plan to take everything away from her is under way.

Cecilia's office--Cecilia is on the phone when Mario appears and tells her to hang up because they have to get out of there now. When she has too many excuses he tells her that Regina now knows that she is her sister. He is worried about Alonso finding out.

Escalante's office--Alonso has decided to pay Escalante a visit. Escalante is surprised. Well, he is also going to be surprised that Alonso was talking to El Chulo about his candidacy and Escalante's financial support. Escalante plays stupid. Alonso tells him not to pretend with him. Everybody is going to support him. The rules have changed. Escalante says he has the wrong person. Alonso counters with no, he is "Fernando Escalante the 'Benefactor'" who is just as dirty as the rest of them. Escalante tells him to leave. Alonso says fine but he is warning Escalante that if he does not support him he will have problems not only with Joaquín but also with him.

Mauro's office--Regina goes looking for Cecilia. Mauro does not know where she is. He expects she will be back soon. Mauro fills her in on Omar's diagnosis.

Omar's hospital room--Omar wonders what the lawyer is doing there. He needs Omar to sign a routine paper giving Alonso the power over his businesses until he is well. Omar is not buying it so says he is sick to his stomach and asks the lawyer to get the nurse. The lawyer only needs a signature. Omar is not signing.

An abandoned building--Marcia is being gang raped by her captors who have nothing better to do until she is transported. Escalante's men arrive, shoot her captors and take her out of there. Escalante is on the phone with his men. They know where to take Marcia and only Lorena is to be allowed to talk to her.

Regina's office--Escalante hangs up his cell phone and asks Daniela if he can talk to Regina. She is not there. He is just wondering if she came to a decision. Daniela tells him it is better if Regina tells him herself. Escalante is leaving as Gerardo is arriving looking for Regina. Escalante is happy to see him freed. Gerardo came by to thank Regins but it seems like the person he really needs to thank is Escalante. Can they talk? Of course.

Cecilia's apartment--Cecilia has just arrived with Mario. He is screaming about how he gave her everything she wanted but she had to go over board and sleep with her nephew! Cecilia fights back. Does he think it was easy for her? She had to do all sorts of horrible things so she could to gain Alonso's confidence. It was what she thought Mario wanted. What did he want her to do? He is adamant that he certainly did not want her to sleep with Emiliano. How are Alonso and Regina going to react to that? Cecilia's attitude is "what is done, is done." Mario is not done. He wants to know why she would want to ruin it all. She is at Alonso's side doing what she dreamed of doing. Mario is at the point of tears he is so upset. Why destroy it all? She did it because in her mind it was all just a lie. Mario invented all of it. Mario wants her to deny all of it. She has to do it for him. He gave her everything. He never abandoned her. What does he have to do? Beg her on his knees. Ceciiia becomes hysterical and starts screaming at him to just leave her alone and to get out. Mario gets a phone call from Magda that Omar needs him at the hospital because Alonso's lawyer arrived with some papers for him to sign that might end up hurting him. At first he says he can't go but then Mario agrees to it. Cecilia tells Mario to just go.

El Chulo's office--El Chulo is angry as he meets with his goon-guards. He wants to know what happened. One of his men tells him how these guys forced their way in, killed their men and then the woman disappeared. El Chulo announces that someone wants to hurt him. He tells his men to get ready to leave. He runs into Lorena on the way out. Where wss she? Shopping for clothes for him. He'll let her know if he can see her later. El Chulo and his gang are off and running.

Government building--Gerardo wants to clear up things with Escalante. Escalante admits that he got him out of jail but it was not for him but for Regina. Gerardo does not owe him a thing. That is what worries Gerardo: that Regina might owe him something. Escalante tells him that he and Regina have agreements that don't concern him. Gerardo tells him that anything to do with Regina does concern him. He will be there to protect her. Why would he need to protect her from Escalante? Gerardo wonders what/who is backing Escalante. Financial businesses. Gerardo asks "Only businesses? Yes, the kind of businesses that scare politicians like him too much. The only thing that Gerardo fears are people without scruples just like Escalante. Escalante has a question: Doesn't Gerardo think that he has done enough to hurt Regina's image with his public scandals? If he really wants to help her, he needs to distance himself from her. Gerardo thinks he has to be around to protect her from people like Escalante.

Hospital hallway--Mario arrives and an upset Magda takes him to Omar's room. José and Natalia talk. She is alone and afraid. They are going to take everything away from her. She asks for his help. He hugs her and holds her.

Alonso's office--Alonso is talking to Mauro about what he should do with Regina. If he attacks her now, it might be too early but if he doesn't her campaign will be at its height. He tells Mauro his plan for disruptions at her appearances. Mauro says that will cause her headaches but it will not affect her popularity. What should Alonso do? Release that video of her rolling around having sex with Gerardo? Mauro thinks it is far too early for that. He needs to keep the video for the very end so many more voters will be disappointed. He asks if Mauro "is back". Yes, he is. Alonso says he is happy. Mauro said he convinced him with the deposits made into his bank account which he already verified. Alonso also needs Mauro to finally sign those bid requests for Joaquín's businesses. He wants that settled with Joaquín. Mauro asks if he is going to get a cut. He will be getting 50% on this deal and on all others in the future. Mauro almost smiles.

Omar's hospital room--Mario tells Omar he is not signing anything. Omar knew e could depend on him. Mario says that is why we are "family". Omar wants Mario to take charge of it all or if not him, one of his people. Omar does not want Magda involved. he does not trust her. Mario explains he is going to need a power of attorney to legally manage Omar's affairs. It is the only way to protect Omar. Omar looks surprised and concerned.

Hospital hallway--Natalia wants José to escape to another country with her. Magda is eavesdropping.

Cabaret--Isela and Cecilia are talking. Cecilia knows that if she does not deny being Mario's daughter, she will lose Alonso. Isela informs her that she has lost him already. Isela goes on to say that Regina now knows everything and Mario is like a cockroach. The conversation is cut short because Isela receives a visit from El Chulo and his men. Isela knows trouble when she sees it and manages to get Cecilia out before things turn nasty. El Chulo and his men are not there to have fun. El Chulo wants information about the merchandise she gave to him (Marcia). Someone killed his men and she was taken from him. So, he is trying to understand what happened. Who is she anyway?

Hospital hallway--Natalia and José decide to leave country, family, everything to go away together. Magda is still eavesdropping. Natalia tells her off accusing Magda of being complicit in the plan to take everything away from her. Mario hears Natalia's raised voice as he leaves Omar's room and asks her not to start any scandals. Natalia says she will create any scandals she wants. She will not let them take away from her what she is entitled to. That is exactly what he was helping her to avoid by seeing Omar. Mario is willing to help Natalia if she helps with his daughter. If she wants to get some of the money she is entitled to, she will have to give him a hand when the moment arrives. He sends José to the car. Mario warns Natalia that if she keeps hanging around with "just anybody" she won't see a peso.

Cabaret--El Chulo is asking Isela who the merchandise is? Isela says the merchandise's name is Marcia and she was Alonso's father's lover. El Chulo now knows she was don Omar's lover. Why did she give her to him? El Chulo warns her that she does not want to play with him. She better not be setting him up. Isela explains her reasoning. Marcia had turned into a problem for the family and she had to get rid of her. So, she decided to kill two birds with one stone since she wanted to do business with El Chulo. El Chulo slaps her into the wall and warns her about what happens to people who cross him. She was a friend of El Bizco and look what happened to him. In the meantime all hell breaks loose as El Chulo's guard-goons start beating up her people and wrecking the place. El Chulo calls off his guys and is gone.

Omar's room--Natalia goes to see Omar. He is asleep. She sill asks why he destroyed her. He tired her out with his cheating and when she did the same thing he began to beat her. He almost killed her. Now he wants to leave her without anything. He is a monster. God will never forgive him. She leaves without knowing that he was really awake and heard every word.

Alonso's office--Teresa forces her way into Alonso's office. Mauro cannot stop her. Alonso gives her two minutes and then security will remove her. Her news is Ximena is pregnant and the father is Emiliano.

Another abandoned building--Marcia is being held by the guard-goons and Lorena arrive to talk to her. Lorea starts asking her questions. Lorena wants to know why she was kidnapped. Silence. Lorena says she is her only option. If she does not talk, she cannot help her. Marcia talks. Mario hired her to live at Omar's house to get information for him.

Alonso's office--So why is Alonso going to believe Teresa? Because she has the pregnancy test right there with her. She takes it out of he purse to show him. Aloonso looks disgusted (and rightfully so). She wants him to see the test is positive, of course. When her daughter is fat as a pig they can prove the pregnancy in other ways. How does he know the test is from Ximena or the "product" is Emiliano's anyway? Because Teresa says so. Alonso's not buying that. Mauro and security arrive and they start to remove her. Alonso changes his mind and tells them they can let Teresa stay. Teresa starts to talk about a wedding, the social pages, a honeymoon in Dubai. Not so quick. That is not what Alonso is thinking about. He has another idea. The baby is not going to be born. Teresa is real interested in that and is ready to sit and discuss. Money is the first topic because, of course, he would not want the press to become aware of the fact that he is in favor of abortion.

Regina's office--Gerardo and Regina are all lovey dovey. They need to talk. He found out about things in jail she has to know. Just as he is going to begin to tell her, Daniela bursts in to warn her about Cecilia looking for her but Cecilia is right behind her sniffing, sniffling and in tears. She asks Regina if she can talk alone with her sister.
