MMTF Episode 11, 9/5/2017 Part 1

Still at the bar…Robert and Blanca’s sisters see that Julieta and Blanca are totally drunk, so Robert offers to take them back to the apartment.

Daniela and Linda are having sandwiches that look a bit strange as they wonder where Blanca is and realize how much they rely on her. When Daniela comments that she thought Linda was an expert at kissing, Daniela explains that many desire her, but none have inspired her to kiss them…like Daniela was inspired. Daniela clarifies that she was not the one that did the kissing…anyway it wasn’t even like a romantic movie, it was more like a terror flick. Meanwhile, Gabriel is exercising and thinks about all the “painful” encounters with Daniela.

Robert walks into the apartment building with Blanca and Julieta in tow. As he leans each of them on the wall, they slide down to the floor. Audifaz comes in and watches from the stairs but doesn’t help. When Linda and Daniela open the door, Blanca crawls in. Robert worries that Eugenio might be upset with Blanca so he offers to take her to his apartment, but the girls say everything will be fine and they help her to her bedroom. Robert then lifts Julieta and takes her in to the apartment.

The next day, Blanca is at the bakery with Eugenio with a huge (hangover) headache. She slumps over the bread, but tells Eugenio she’s praying. Linda and Daniela come in with blow horns and jump around shouting which does not help with Blanca’s headache. They give Eugenio a gift, a picture of the family, for the Day of the Chicharra. As he looks at it, Eugenio thinks of a day that he lifted Juan Pablo and joked that he was taller.

Later, Blanca goes back home feeling sick. Linda relishes in telling her mother how drunk she was when she was brought home in the neighbor’s arms. When Linda tells Blanca that Julieta was also just as drunk, Blanca can’t believe she got drunk with Julieta. Blanca is completely embarrassed and has no idea how she will be able to face Robert and Julieta. She begs the girls not to tell Eugenio or anyone else, so Linda takes advantage and tells Blanca her silence has a price, she owes her.

Marisol is serving Frida breakfast as she notices Frida looks sad. Frida thinks they are no longer the happy family they used to be. She had a gift ready for her father, but he hasn’t come for it. Marisol tries to console her and tells her she can give it to him later and explains that, though there have been changes, they can still be happy.

[Mexican Version: Robert calls his adoptive father to let him know that all his things arrived in tact. He assures his adoptive father that whatever happens, he will always love him…he is who he is because of him] Julieta comes out of her bedroom and sees that Robert is going through the box, so she tells him that Eugenio opened it by mistake. She remembers that she and Blanca plainly told each other that they can’t stand each other… and they never will. They talk about the clothes in the box and Julieta suggests they put pictures on the web. Robert has a memory of his mother putting the sweater on him and giving him a kiss as she held his face in her hands. When he explains the memory to Julieta, he tells her his mother did it with all her love.

MMTF Episode 11, 9/5/2017 Part 2

Later, Robert arrives at the gym and greets Eugenio. Eugenio approaches Robert at the gym to ask him about something, but Robert is on the treadmill with his headphones on and just gives Eugenio a thumbs up.

Audifaz and Polita arrive at Blanca’s home. After Audifaz makes fun of Blanca for getting so drunk, he asks Blanca for breakfast, but she tells them there is nothing left. Audifaz insists and tells Blanc he knows how quick she is at fixing up a meal. He then tells her they will keep her secret and promise to be discreet, so she agrees to make them breakfast.
Ana visits Julieta to take her the information she had promised her regarding universities and apartments in New York, but Julieta informs her that Robert doesn’t want to leave. When Julieta apologizes for all the mess and picks up the red sweater, Ana sees it and is stunned into silence, so Julieta offers her something to drink, but she refuses and quickly makes her exit.

Eugenio finally gets to talk to Robert and apologizes for opening the box. When he discreetly asks about the red sweater, Robert confides that he was wearing the sweater the day his parents abandoned him. As Robert excuses himself and leaves, Eugenio slowly sits down and has several flashbacks of playing with Juan Pablo.

[Mexican Version: At the apartment building, Robert bumps into Blanca who is embarrassed and explains that what he saw is not usual. He is very understanding and assures her that everything will be fine. Still, Blanca worries about what Robert may think of her, but he reassures her that when he sees her, he gets a good feeling…he likes her and cannot think badly about her.]

Robert enters his apartment and Julieta comes to show him the information Ana brought. He reminds her that they had agreed to think things through. He can’t just pick up and leave… he has surgeries scheduled and patients to follow up on. Julieta thinks she could go ahead of him, but Robert wonders how she is so sure a move will ensure her happiness; she shouldn’t run away from her problems. He suggests that she send in her applications and if she is accepted, then that will be their sign to leave.

Some goons arrive at Daniela’s carpentry shop asking for her boss. When she tells them he’s is out of the country, they tell her they came for their money and threaten her by breaking furniture and grabbing her. Gabriel the Magnificent, however, has just shown up in time to save the day. He manages to take down two of the goons, but the third one does a Ninja Turtle somersault over Daniela, pushes Gabriel down, and starts to beat on his pretty face. When they stand him up and tell him they are there to collect money, he tells them he is also there to collect money owed to him. After they ask his name, they calm down and leave.

Robert spots Julián at the hospital and asks the nurse to call the police. Julian runs away but Robert catches up to him and knocks him down. As Robert has him in a headlock, Julian tries to pull at Robert’s heart strings by telling his sob story about being lost as child. He thought Blanca was his mother and then asks Robert if he doesn’t know that Blanca and Eugenio lost a son that was 4 years old. The cops show up, so Robert tells them to take him in because he stole money. Robert then calls Blanca to advise her that she needs to go to the police station and file charges. She starts to leave, but Eugenio insists that she tell him what the call is about. When Blanca tells him they caught the man who swindled them, Eugenio goes instead and tells Blanca not to mention anything to his mother.

MMTF Episode 11, 9/5/2017 Part 3

Daniela tries to clean Gabriel’s cut lip, but Gabi shouts and complains that she is a neanderthal. They argue about how he usually ends up getting hurt when he sees her. He reminds her that he helped her because he doesn’t like seeing anyone “putting their spoon in his rice.” When she asks what he came for, he shows her a list of things she can do for him to repay him what she owes him. He advises her that at any moment she will be fired from that place, but she suggests that she will pay for the car with a card, which he laughs at. She then suggests a minimum payment for 5-6 years.

Blanca blatantly defies Eugenio and tells Imelda that he went to the police station to confront Julián. As Imelda agrees that it should be Eugenio to go, Aristóteles arrives to visit his grandmother. Imelda asks him what he would like to eat so she can prepare it for him, so she ask Blanca to help her prepare a delicious meal. When Blanca wonders what is going on, Imelda explains that, for more than 30 years, she has thought of the grandson who isn’t there and unaware of many things that have occurred in that time. Aristóteles is now an adolescent and she know very little about him. They don’t think about the people that are near them for thinking about those that are not with them.

Eugenio denounces Julián for messing with his family and demands to know where he got the red sweater that he was supposedly wearing when he got lost. As Robert listens, he is astonished by the similarities to his own story. Julian admits that he read about the whole story and tells Eugenio that he will return the money. After Eugenio chides him for getting into something that is sacred to him, he walks away and Robert follows him. When alone, Robert tells Eugenio that he is confused and drums up the courage to ask him if the child they lost is the same child he said had died. Eugenio avoids the question and says he is also confused. Robert understands, he knows how it feels because he has spent several years looking for his parents. As Eugenio stands not knowing what to say, an officer calls him to go sign some papers.

Ana is at her home asking Tulio how he can leave when she had been in the kitchen preparing him a meal but Tulio tells her he doesn’t want to waste his time with her. After she chides him for reveling in making her feel bad, he retorts that she likes to play the victim and reminds her of the many times he has had to help with her crises and bouts of depression. She rebukes that he has destroyed her because she couldn’t give him a son and reminds him that he has everything because of her money. He then responds that that is the only reason he hasn’t divorced a useless woman like her.

Julieta goes to have lunch with Ana and is surprised that the relationship she has with Tulio is so bad, but Ana doesn’t want to talk about that. Ana mentions the move to New York, but when Julieta wonders why Ana wants to help her, Ana replies that she is young and still has a chance to fly. Juliana is excited about the idea and wishes Robert felt the same. Ana then asks about Robert’s search, but Julieta doesn’t think he will get anywhere. When Ana offers to help, Julieta makes light of it and only tells her she needs to finish up some projects and talk to her mother.

MMTF Episode 11, 9/5/2017 Part 4

Gabriel is still with Daniela. He mentions that he wouldn’t know if she’s a boy or girl based on her clothes. He wonders if she is disfigured or has crooked legs. He doesn’t want to offend her, but she doesn’t dress like a girl…she doesn’t even wear make-up. Daniela gets fed up and tells him to either help her or leave, but he continues that he’s not trying to be mean; she just needs to fix herself up a bit and drastically change her attitude…and she wouldn’t be so bad. Gabriel tells Daniela that he wants to talk about their situation, but she doesn’t think there is an “us” to talk about. She tells him he can leave, but can return when she gets rid of all her problems, including her ugliness. He clarifies that he never said she was ugly and wonders if that really upset her. He gets up to leave and reminds her that before she goes to sleep, she must repeat, “I can’t live…without Gabriel” several times…he suggests 100 times.

Back at the Córsega house, Aristóteles offers to help Imelda with the cooking, but Imelda wants to hear about his life. Aristóteles doesn’t have a girlfriend but has had 5 in the past…he only attracts crazy ones. Imelda laughs. Aristóteles continues that his father thinks it runs in the family because she and Blanca are crazy…since Juan Pablo got lost. Imelda agrees, but tells him that now things will change. She gives him a hug and tells him he is the man of the family who will carry on the Córsega name.

Marisol is at Linda’s place of work talking about what she can do to her body to improve herself…she wants a face lift and big boobs like the lady she sees there. Linda tells Frida to wait for them because her mother has lost some screws and she needs to go replace them…they’ll be right back.

At the bakery, Blanca looks at her phone anxious to hear from Eugenio when Julieta come in and gives her some flowers. Julieta wants to tell her that they will be vacating the apartment. She explains that she and Robert are planning to go to New York. She knows they have a contract but they can pay the fine and help find new tenants. After Julieta notes how sarcastic and difficult Blanca is being, she is confused because Blanca wanted them to leave, but Blanca clarifies that it was only because of a misunderstanding. She then tells Julieta she doesn’t like white roses…maybe when she dies.

At the police station, Julián tells Eugenio that he can only repay some of the money right before he is taken away. Eugenio is grateful that Robert caught Julián. He confides that Blanca was hoping he would be their son. They leave and Robert suggests they walk home so they can talk; he hadn’t realized that there are so many things that they have in common. As they walk, Eugenio tells Robert that he never imagined he didn’t grow up with his real parents, while Robert never imagined how much sadness Eugenio had endured. When Robert asks how long it had been since his son has been lost, Eugenio replies, “34 years.” He confides that they looked for their son everywhere…he wouldn’t wish that desperation on anyone. He shares that they were destroyed…the family lost it’s joy…or rather he made them lose it. When Robert asks why he said his son was dead, Eugenio replies that he had to choose between continuing with the search or continuing with his life…and he preferred to believe that he would see his son in heaven. As Eugenio shares that he loves his son, he puts out his hand as if placing it on his son’s head…and Robert reaches out too.

Thank you, Rgvchick, for the excellent recap. I am sitting here enjoying it with my café. Now if I just had some of that pan dulce they make in Eugenio and Blanca's bakery . . . too bad I am too lazy to do a pan run.

My favorite parts from last night:
Blanca so drunk she literally crawls into her apartment and then when she finally does get up, she has that goofy grin on her face.

Blanca's face falling into a tray of panes.

Gabriel comparing Daniela to "Chucky" ("Child's Play" must have been very popular in Mexico as here because this is not the first time I have heard Chucky mentioned in a telenovela)

Imelda realizing all the time she lost with Aristóteles being so focused on Juan Pablo.

My least favorite part:
Julieta jumping the gun on "her" New York plans by telling Blanca they want to break the lease without consulting Robert first.

BTW, I can de a recap/summary for tonight's episode.

Correction: DO a recap . . .

Rgv Chick, thank you for jumping in (yet again) and gifting us with this superb recap.

I eagerly read every single, well written word.

The writers have made us hope for a reunion. Your carefully chosen words brought us closer to fruition.

The scenes between Robert and Eugenio were particularly poignant and exceptionally played by both actors. Are they sharing the same, slowly dawning conclusions or will refusal to accept what is becoming clearly transparent be their destiny?

I have to say that I am in tears reading "When Robert asks why he said his son was dead, Eugenio replies that he had to choose between continuing with the search or continuing with his life…and he preferred to believe that he would see his son in heaven. As Eugenio shares that he loves his son, he puts out his hand as if placing it on his son’s head…and Robert reaches out too."

My favorite line was Robert's "assures his adoptive father that whatever happens, he will always love him…he is who he is because of him". Bam! Half a box of tissues. Gone.

I was grateful for the Gabe/Daniela antics. "He gets up to leave and reminds her that before she goes to sleep, she must repeat, “I can’t live…without Gabriel” several times…he suggests 100 times". LOL. Really, really good. I am crazy about the actor's facial expressions. He has a sweet smile. Not mocking, just plain fun. So, is Julien from a famous/feared family? The thugs left quickly after he revealed his name, one even stopping to smooth out his jacket lapel.

"She rebukes that he has destroyed her because she couldn’t give him a son and reminds him that he has everything because of her money. He then responds that that is the only reason he hasn’t divorced a useless woman like her". What bitter, cruel words! And if they were uttered to anyone other than Ana, my heart would have gone out to her. I usually try to see the good (little as it often is) in everyone but there is none to be seen here.

"When Julieta apologizes for all the mess and picks up the red sweater, Ana sees it and is stunned into silence". So. I am beyond bothered that Julieta is falling right into Ana's nefarious plan...But again, how and why on earth would/should she possibly suspect the backstory? Such outrageous truth is mostly only confined to real life.

Rgv, thank you for including the scenes the Mexican audience is seeing that we are not. What a shame.

Thank you Rgv Chick - stellar, stellar, stellar.

Diana

"Blanca so drunk she literally crawls into her apartment and then when she finally does get up, she has that goofy grin on her face".

Jarifa, wasn't that the best??

I keep staring asking myself "is that REALLY Diana Bracho"???

Who'd of thunk? :)

Diana

You'er welcom, Jarifa, looking forward to your recap tonight!

A agree with your least favorite part. Julieta moving forward with her plans is a total disregard for Robert's wishes...she's being very selfish and inconsiderate. I also thought her gesture of taking roses to Blanca was a little over the top. Although, Blanca's dislike for Julieta is also exaggerated, it seems to me that Blanca has shown more effort (little as it may be) to keep the peace with Julieta. Needless to say, Julieta is not on top my my favorites list right now.

Any scene with Gabriel and Dani catches my attention, sometimes you can see where Laura Vignati has difficulty in keeping a straight face and Jose Pablo Minor is over the top in his portrayal of this conceited, overbearing, and immature character. I was thinking last night, if Juan Pablo is supposed to be 38, then Daniela is supposed to be 34...she surely does NOT look or act like it.

Jarifa, I'll do a brief recap tomorrow...or as brief as I can make it since I have difficulty "cutting" things out...I like details LOL

Rgvchick, You and me both. I also have a real hard time cutting out details as I'm sure you have noticed. LOL right back at you!

Diana, I was writing while you were posting, you're very welcome! you're kind words motivate me to continue writing recaps or highlights.

Diana, I never knew Diana Bracho it was that funny.

Question on Diana Bracho...is anyone bothered by her wardrobe...every time I see "Blanca" i wonder if they don't have anything better to dress her in.

OT- Abismo de Pasion" is replacing "Destilando Amor" on Unimas (early afternoon). Is it worth watching?

Rgv Chick, you have a far better eye for detail than I.

I haven't really paid particular attention to Blanca's clothes. I will now.

I do get a kick out of seeing her and Eugenio in their starch white bakery "uniforms".

In the interest of full disclosure, I will say I had to google Abismo. I knew I'd seen it but needed to see the cast to refresh my memory. I would say it is worth the time. Not on my top 10 but good. Anything with Angelique Boyer and Altair Jarabo is a "must see" in my book.

Hopefully someone with a much better memory can add more.

Diana

RgvChick, ITA about Julieta. She has been sort of a *snot* from the beginning. Even at the dinner she attended at Blanca's. When Ana asked her what she did she came back with something like she hadn't had a chance to talk which sounded to me like she really meant she couldn't get a word in edgewise which is how Blanca took it. I wonder if Robert will ever tire of her attitude.

As for Blanca, her style seems like something out of much earlier times and is not flattering at all. Maybe that is just another sign of her depression.

Diana, Eugenio and Diana do match well in their uniforms.

Thank you, Chickie.

I am getting a kick out of Gabriel. I guess that we have all known a few Gabriels..legends in their own minds...young and conceited .

Robert is one of the sweetest galans I have ever seen. He tolerates a lot . Perhaps Julieta does not appreciate him and support him as much as she should.

I have been watching the weather and thinking of Kirby, Nina , and our other patio peeps in Florida. Sending out good thoughts and prayers)))))).

Susy, I join you in the thoughts and prayers for our Florida friends and everyone else in the areas affected by Irma)))))))

Thanks, Rgv Chick. Fab recap. I missed the first part, when Robert was leaning the drunk women on the wall and they slid down. Appreciate the detail cause this scene sounds hilarious. "Gabriel the Magnificent" - teeheehee!

Only natural that Daniela would feel put out by Gabriel's beauty tips for her, but she should consider with all she's got going against her (manly clothes, no makeup, bad attitude, owes money), Gabriel keeps coming back to her. Hmmm, so his last name, Musi, meant something to the thugs. It sounds Italian. Guess we'll see what's up here.

Earlier, I thought Linda was rude to call her Tia Polita a freeloader. But now I see Polita and Audifaz are just that. Hey guys, make your own breakfast.

Niecie, thanks for that important information.

Audifaz certainly doesn't seem like a ball of fire does he? (although I could watch Rene all day, no matter what he is or isn't doing).

Blanca doesn't seem too indulgent overall but it appears she is, at least to these 2.

Diana

"(manly clothes, no makeup, bad attitude, owes money)"

Love your laundry list of strikes Dani's got against her :)

Diana

Capítulo 12 Wednesday 9/6/17 Part 1

Linda tries to talk Marisol out of getting implants by showing her all of the expenses and adding she could never pay that amount with the "charity" her husband gives her. Also, perfection does not exist. It also is not going to improve her situation with Ignacio.

Aristóteles enjoys granny Imelda's cooking. She is worried because he is so skinny.

Robert and Eugenio talk. After he heard how hard Eugenio had looked for his son, Robert wonders if his parents did the same. Somebody took him to an orphanage on the outskirts of the city. All they know it was a woman and she did not give her name and left running. It could have been his mother. Eugenio says it might have been somebody else. Robert does not think so. She did not leave his name or even his birth date. What is clear to Robert is that his parents didn't want to see him again. Eugenio says that is a supposition that Robert created. Does Eugenio still believe his son is dead? After a long pause the answer is yes.

Eugenio fills in Blanca and Imelda about how Julián ended up giving him back part of the money he got from Imelda. Blanca finds it strange how Robert was the one to find him. Eugenio says Robert told him so many interesting things. Imelda thinks he is charming. Blanca adds his wife is still a problem but Robert just seems so special.

Robert shows Octavio a long list of everything he has found familiar since arriving at his new apartment: the neighborhood, the people he has met, the smell of bread from the bakery, the building itself. Also, the Córsegas lost a son thirty four years ago. Could they be his family? Octavio suggests he talk to Eugenio and tell him what he thinks.

Audifaz helps his new tenant Xavi Galán who is renting the tiny roof apartment find a place for his grandpiano. He constructs a tent to cover it.

Ana talks to Julieta. She asks that she keep it a secret from the Córsegas that she is helping her to move to New York. Julieta understands. She cannot imagine having a mother-in-law like Blanca.

Marisol has some business to take care of so she is sending Frida to stay with her parents for a couple of days. As she is packing Frida's clothes, she tells her not to say anything about her and her father getting a divorce. A Xavier Galán song come on on her laptop and that brings back good memories when she as a teenager was one of his fans. She remembers him noticing her in a screaming crowd of fans and how it made her feel.

Capítulo 12 Part 2

Robert has pity on a little burn victim whose mother dropped him off at the foundation and has not been heard from since.

At the check out of a store, the clerk asks Xavi for his signature and he thinks she wants an autograph. She has no idea of who he is.

Marisol drops off Frida. Blanca asks Marisol if she is sure she is okay. Marisol says Ignacio is off on a business trip and she wants to take advantage of the time to get things done. She will come by to visit Frida everyday. As she is leaving, she hears Xavi playing from the roof. She looks up and sees nobody. He stops playing and looks down and just sees the top of her head as she is standing on the street.

Hugo the the ne'er do well son of Catalina and brother of Julieta has come home from who knows where and he is stinking filthy. That does not matter to Catalina who is all over him and ready to baby him from the get go. His wife Diana is not so impressed or excited.
Julieta just happens to stop by and asks for her money. Of course, he does not have it . He lost it in a bad business deal. Julieta lets him have it as Catalina tries to defend him. Julieta tells her mohter, who she calls by her first name, that men like her brother are useless because of women like her. She tells them she has decided to go to New York to study. Her mother is not in favor at her age! Juliets asks if she is upset because she is going to miss her or is it because since she was very young Catalina made her go to work to maintain the house and support her siblings. Hugo tells her not to go playing the victim. She tells him to shut up and further informs them she is going with Robert who is a man who supports her. Diana tells her that is a blessing. Catalina tells her to leave and forget she is her mother.

Outside the apartment, Eugenio is teaching Frida a song. Robert heats them on the street and ends up finishing the last verse with them. Robert tells Eugenio it was his favorite song as a child. Who taught him? He does not know. That is interesting because Eugenio made up the song. Eugenio sends Frida inside and he and Robert go to the bakery for a cup of coffee and some conversation.

Marisol goes looking for her mother-in-law Constanza to have a talk. A neighbor tells her she does not live there any more because her "daughter-in-law" bought her a new house. When Marisol tracks down the house down, Constanza will not see her. Ignacio's new "woman" Begoña bought it for her. Marisol goes to see Ignacio and agrees to give him the divorce with one condition that he keep it a secret from her family for one year. She will tell them he went to China. She doesn't want them to be able to tell her they were right about him.

Back at the bakery, Eugenio says he has been thinking of so many things since he saw the contents of that box that was sent ot Robert. Robert admits to the many things he has felt since arriving. It is as if a place full of memories has opened up for him. Things that he can't make sense of. He remembers the woman leaving him at the orphanage, the toynidentical to the one he had, the red sweater, Eugenio has Robert agree to keep it just netween the two of them. Eugenio also wants them to go to the orphanage and find out what they can. They will go tomorrow. He does not want them to get their hopes up.

Capítulo 12 Part 3

Linda and Daniela are in their room. Linda gets a phone call from a Cornelio. She does not answer. It is a guy that she used to buy her an expensive handbag. Daniela reminds her if she hadn't given him hope, he would not be calling. As far as Linda is concerned, the worse you treat them just makes them end up being right where you want them. Cornelio is talking to his room mate Bruno about Linda. Bruno tells him he is being used. Bruno gets a call from his sister who just happens to be Julieta. She is warning him that she is planning on going to study in New York and when she does she will not be able to continue paying his tuition.

Robert is in bed as Julieta comes running in with good news: she has been accepted at the University of New York and they are offering them an apartment in Central Park. Robert wants to be happy for her but looks depressed as she goes on about everything they have to do in the two weeks they have to get there. Robert wanted them to take it slowly but it looks like that is not happening. Julieta is bouncing up and down like a little kid. When she finally settles down she asks about his search for his biological parents is going. When Robert starts to tell her, she has fallen asleep.

Blanca and Eugenio are working and she is ragging on about Julieta again. She is concerned about them canceling the lease. Eugenio tells her to stop talking because she is spitting on the bean filling. When he finally has had enough, he says he has to pick up supplies and leaves.

Eugenio runs into Robert who says he cannot go to the orphanage as early as they planned because of an emergency at work. Robert says he will be in touch and asks Eugenio to wait for him. Blanca pops up to ask about them breaking the lease and referring to Julieta as Robert's "concubine', Robert tells her he is sure they will come to an agreement. Blanca notices that Eugenio and Robert have become very "buddy buddy". Everyday she understands Eugenio less!

Eugenio ends up going to the orphanage alone. There the director remembers the boy who was dropped off by a woman who went off running. He hands Eugenio a folder and inside there is a photo of Juan Pablo in his little red sweater.

Fin

Another fun episode with new characters. Linda is quite the manipulator of men.

We finally found out why Julieta is like she is and wanting to avoid any family at all costs.

Blanca just never misses an opportunity to bad-mouth Julieta, and Julieta the same with her.

Remember to not talk if you are "filling" something to bake! That was so funny.

Thank you Jarifa! It was a very good episode today and I think Eugenio has been thinking that there was "something" about Robert when they first met. It will be touching when they finally verify that they are indeed father and son.

I am wondering about Ana. Did she FAKE this stuff on the university in New York including the Central Park apartment just to get Robert and Juli out of there? The part when Juli receives the email, just the moment previously we saw Ana at her computer sending an email or doing something that had to do with this New York thing. I am wondering if Juli will go to New York by herself and find out when she gets there that it was all a fraud.

I hope Ana gets outed very soon!

Oh and I just about laughed out loud when Blanca said something to Robert referring to Julieta, calling her a concubine.

Cynthia, your'e welcome.

Yes, that scene was very mysterious with Ana. I tried to see what was on the email but it wasn't clear on my tv. Maybe somebody had better luck. I would put nothing past her. Yes, I hope she is outed sooner rather than later.

Jarifa, amazing recap. I'm thrilled you are recapping this.

I savor the way you phrase facts and questions. "Also, the Córsegas lost a son thirty four years ago. Could they be his family? Octavio suggests he talk to Eugenio and tell him what he thinks" was but one fine example.

I have to say I adore this TN. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Every second of the Roberto/Eugenio scenes are touching. The parallels in their past, their memory gaps, the song that was theirs and theirs alone, small revelations that are jogging their memories, their efforts to put the pieces in place are all conspiring to make this reunion a more than memorable moment.

"Ana talks to Julieta. She asks that she keep it a secret from the Córsegas that she is helping her to move to New York. Julieta understands. She cannot imagine having a mother-in-law like Blanca". When she blew that kiss to Blanca I wanted to reach through the screen and throttle her!

Cynthia, I am also very suspect about Julieta's "acceptance". My first thought was Ana bought/bribed Julieta's way in and that she herself is paying for the apartment.

"Who taught him? He does not know. That is interesting because Eugenio made up the song". Surely not a coincidence but solid fact.

I really liked the little Marisol and Xavi scenario. I love romance and the clip of a younger Marisol fawning and fainting over Xavi was adorable. I am already rooting for this not even a couple yet.

So…Hugo… “His wife Diana is not so impressed or excited”. Hmm, neither is commenter Diana. Blech.

"since she was very young Catalina made her go to work to maintain the house and support her siblings". Well now some of Julieta's reluctance to be drawn into the "family circle" is understandable. Catalina is revolting.

I can't fault Julieta for wanting to follow her dream. She has every right to do so just as Robert does. But, does she not see how happy Robert is? I would have thought a little more discussion would have been in order. That said, Robert is clearly willing to move although he is clearly upset. He will say nothing of course. That is what the perfect galan would do and I've not seen anything to indicate that he is not that.

I also think Robert is thinking of adopting the little boy who was burned.

From the last scene, Eugenio clearly knows what happened to his son. Will he be receptive to the truth, now staring him baldly in the face??

Jarifa, this was superb. Thank you.

Diana

Thanks, Diana!

I, too, wonder if Eugenio will be quick to come around or not.

I think my favorite line of last night was Julieta saying that men like her brother were the fault of women like her mother. That sure hit the nail on the head.

Hi, Jarifa,

I've been watching this tn and decided to stop by and see what everyone is saying. Your treatment of this episode was just great, Jarifa. I enjoyed every sentence.

This story interests me because I, too, was adopted. I made some feeble attempts some years ago to find my birth mother, but was not successful. At this point in my life, any further investigation would be futile (I am 70, and my birth mother was 23 when I was born, so do the math).

It surprises me that Robert (and Eugenio too, for that matter) are not following up leads more aggressively.

From Julieta's standpoint, I can see why she wants out of that apartment; she and Blanca didn't exactly get off on the right foot with each other. I loved "concubine!"

Diana, in looking back over previous posts, I see that you had a medical scare. So very glad that things turned out ok.

OT: Oldest son is about 18 days from getting out of Afghanistan. ;)

Thanks again, Jarifa. Very well done.

David

Thanks so much Jarifa!!! I saw the last two episodes last night so forgive me when I comment on both.

First, when Gabi told the guys that beat him up his last name was "Musi" the guy immediately patted him up and walked away with a look. Could Gabi have some important family members of his own? I'm wondering now about his own background.

Why couldn't Blanca just accept the nice gift of flowers?! No, she had to make a mean comment.

I'm confused about Juli's education. She said that she was an adjunct professor who taught Gabi. To do that she has to have at least a Master's degree. So what is she going to study in NY? For her Ph.d? And it doesn't jive with Catalina sending her to work when she was young.

I love that Ana thinks she is winning while Rob and Eugenio are figuring it all out. Looks like the reveal will be sooner rather than later. Yeah!

I'm seeing a Bruno and Linda pairing. IDK why.

I missed Gabi in last night's episode.

I too hope that there is a Marisol Xavi pairing. Must admit Begonia really does spend the money on Ignacio. Buying his mother a house too.

Morning Carvivlie.

I asked the same question as to why the thugs let up on Julian after he mentioned his last name.

Your statement about Juli's education not jiving with her having to work for years was spot on.

I am SO looking forward to father and son being reunited. But there is nothing pointing to Ana as being the mystery woman who spirited Robert away. I can't wait until she realizes her plans were thwarted!

Yes, Bruno looked a bit too long at Linda's phone pic, didn't he?

Diana

Jarifa, what a superb retelling of last night's events.

Everything that I wanted to say has already been said--love the possible new pairings...wasn't at all happy that Julieta jumped for joy about being accepted, then just a couple minutes later falling asleep when Robert was going to share his own news.

I don't remember a scene where Ana was at a computer, but she did receive a text message on her phone that read, " Ready...Julieta Aguilar was accepted"...that's all the text message said. The email Julieta got had "University of New York" as a header and it was sent by a George Brown. What surprised me was that they also offered her an apartment in Central Park.

OT David, you must be so excited about your son's return! May an army of angels guide him home.

RVG thank you for Tuesday night's recap!

Rgv, thanks. So that was a text message and an email that I couldn't read. LOL I am so glad you had your eagle eye on that one!

David, thank you for your kind comments and sharing your point of view with us. Best wishes to you and your son on his return home.

Carvivlie, you're welcome. Thanks for bringing up that point about the name "Musi" having some sort of weight when the thugs heard it. I had forgotten all about it. A mystery!

FYI: Bruno is being played by Federico Ayos who plays Emiliano on "La candidata".

DAVID!!!

I am so sorry, I missed your post!

So glad you are back! I always enjoyed your comments and am happy you are watching...

18 days! I hope it passes quickly - although I am sure it will seem like an eternity. So, am I reading that correctly in that your son will be home for good?? I hope so.

Thank you for sharing your story. I am really hoping that the big reveal happens tonight or tomorrow night. Can't come soon enough for me.

Again, welcome back!

Diana

Rgv Chick, I think Ana paid for the NY apartment. Just s hunch :)

Diana

Diana, if Ana were paying for an apartment in the Central Park area, that's a LOT of money. Even studio apartments are what, more than $2000/month. With most apartments maybe $3,000 and up, that's a lot of money to fork out because living in Manhattan is very, very, expensive.

I'm still thinking the whole thing is a fraud and a setup to get them out and away from the truth. But time will tell!

Thanks to all for your kind comments about my son. Yes, Diana, he is out for good. . .until next time. This was his third tour in a combat zone.

Has anyone come up with a plausible explanation as to why Ana has been doing the things she has done, most especially throwing JP to the wolves? Is it jealousy from her inability to produce a child?

I'll bet before this is over, Julieta and Blanca will be best buds, with the fiercely protective Blanca providing the mother figure that Julieta never had.

David

Cynthia, I was curious and just googled Central Park apartments. What I saw at a quick glance started at $4,500 to 5,5500 per month and then way up from there.

Expensive is an understatement.

It will be interesting to see what happens. If Julieta is scammed, I can only imagine the fury she would direct at Ana. :) If only! As Ana's pocketbook seems bottomless, it would make enough sense for her to bankroll them to get Julieta through her schooling. She likely thinks they won't want to leave once they are "planted" there.

David, I do remember your son had several tours of duty. I am so happy that he will be home. For good. Please thank him for his service and for his sacrifices. And that of you and your family, having him away for so long...

We've been speculating why Ana did what she did. Jealousy was mentioned as a definite factor because Ana was unable to have children. Whatever the explanation, it will never satisfy me. I'm digging my heels in on this one. She is irredeemable and should be jailed for the remainder of her life.

Diana

Diana, I agree with you regarding Ana. Although she has bouts of guilt at times, she continues to conspire to keep Robert/JP and his parents apart. I also agree that it was jealousy that led her to do it...and the woman is unforgivable. Julieta is so self-involved that she can't see how easily she's being manipulated.

Jarifa, thanks for confirming that Bruno is Emiliano from LC...I thought I recognized him but wasn't sure.

My take on Ana is this: Her husband married her for her money. After miscarrying 5 times (i believe that was the number given), she fell into a depression. Her husband verbally abused her for not being able to give him a son. She took it out on JP and got rid of him. She must have gotten some sort of mental help bec Aristotle is still around. She has lived a miserable life with her husband. I think she knows she deserves to be unhappy too based on her actions. In the end, his family is the only family she has so she sticks with him. Now, she will do anything not to lose them.

David..So nice to see you here again. I know that you must be very excited about your son coming home. Happy news.

The only reason I can think of for Ana taking JP is because she was jealous of Blanca having another baby when she had had so many miscarriages.

carvivle....I noticed that guy's reaction when Gabe said his last name. Hmmm Perhaps he is from a powerful family.

As to the cost of living in Manhatten , my older daughter lived there for awhile before moving to Toronto . She shared a very small apartment with two other girls , and her rent was still very high. and as Carvivle said, to be an adjunct professor, you need at least a Master's degree, but perhaps ,Julieta wants to go for some type of certification.

I used to work real estate on the UWS off CPW. They could get a tiny one bedroom in a walkup brownstone for around $2300. But NYU does provide housing to a number of their professors near campus. Central Park is not near NYU.

Yeah I know New York City is very expensive, even more expensive than Los Angeles. Maybe on par with San Francisco though, now that is out of this world expensive. I am trying to figure out how WEALTHY Ana is and where he money comes from. Certainly she can't throw all this money around for that long.

I'm not sure Alfredo will be able to post a discussion page so here's the recap for tonight.

MMTF Episode 13, 9/7/2017

As Linda arrives to her place of work, Cornelio approaches and asks her why she doesn’t want to see him and if she doesn’t realize the effect she has had on him, but she tells him to stop wasting his time and money. Linda then tells him to leave because she doesn’t want to listen to what he has to say. When he threatens to start yelling if she doesn’t listen to him, she reminds him that he is a man, but he asks why men shouldn’t say what they feel. Corny-o gets on his knees and pathetically begs Linda not to leave him, but she worries that someone will videotape him and the video will go viral. Linda offers to return the purse so he’ll stop bothering her. After Corny-o doesn’t want to think of her as a demon, Linda tells him there has never been and will never be anything between them. Corny-o tells her she is not “linda;” she is a mean person, but Linda says she is just being sincere. As she leaves, Corny-o starts bawling.

Blanca, Amalia, Belén and Ana are shopping. As Amalia looks at a fancy yellow dress, Blanca criticizes her for not being ashamed to expose herself. Blanca sees that Ana received a call from a man named Julián. When she questions Ana because that’s the name of the man that swindled them, Ana denies it’s the same man; [Mexican version: instead she tells Blanca he is Tulio’s new chauffeur. Blanca tells Ana about how Robert caught Julián who is now in jail. Meanwhile, Amalia is holding up a fancy yellow dress, but Belén tells her to stop because she is making a fool of herself and embarrassing them.]

At the hospital, Robert gets ready to take the bandages off the little boy who asks for his mother because he wants to see her so Robert assures him that he will go look for her. He then carefully removes the bandages.

As Eugenio closes Robert’s file, he starts coughing and breathing heavily so the director asks if he is okay…he can call the psychologist. Overcome with emotion, Eugenio stands, slowly backs away and leaves.

At the hospital Robert finds out where the little boy’s mother lives and is told that several attempts have been made to contact her, but her phone is out of service. Robert insists on getting all the information that can be found.

At the store, Blanca tells her sisters she has to leave because Carla is by herself. When they ask about Eugenio, Blanca suspects that Eugenio is keeping something from her. In the morning, he had told her he had to go buy something but she thinks he is lying. Just then, Ana receives a call from Julian. He is threatening to reveal her secret, but she pretends that someone is asking her for documents and goes to her car. Amalia thinks Ana is hiding something and Blanca thinks Ana’s behavior is sometimes strange. At her car, Ana chides Julián for calling her. He threatens to tell the Córsega family her secret. Since she remains quiet, he knows he has the goods on her, so he tells her he will reveal the secret unless she gives him the money to get out of jail.

Eugenio walks aimlessly and in a state of confusion and disbelief. He recalls moments with Juan Pablo… and Robert offering him something to drink. He stops as he looks at his phone and sees all the missed calls.

At Audifaz’s office, Julieta tries to come to some type of agreement with Mr. Man-who-has-a-very-original-name. She is willing to find him new tenants, but he refuses to terminate the contract. He tells her to pay the fine in its entirety. Julieta says she will get the new tenants to continue the contract, but Audifaz tells her the tenants will have to meet his requirements. They exchange a few unpleasantries so he tells her she is from another planet, but she rebukes she will get the best tenants so she can leave and erase this whole stage of her life.

As they walk, they recall the same memories…special moments from the younger years and conversations they have recently had. When they get o the corner at the same time, they look at each other for a moment tehn Eugenio reaches out to Robert and pulls him close. He hugs Robert tightly as he cries with tears of joy and relief. Robert stands, not sure of how he should respond, but he slowly lifts his arms to embrace his father. They cry and hold each other tightly with all the love they had lost for 34 years.

Daniela and Frida are talking at the Córsega home. Frida and Dani converse about parents being strange and how they have so many things on their minds. When Frida complains that her father isn’t even at home, Dani reminds her that he is traveling to many places. Dani asks Frida to promise that she will be happy, then confides that when she was young, she worried about so many things…things that were problems of adults that she couldn’t fix, so she lost many happy moments. She doesn’t want that to happen to Frida. When Dani looks at her phone Frida teasingly asks her whose call she is expecting. [Mexican version: Blanca then comes in and complains that Eugenio doesn’t answer her calls. After Dani tells her to let it go…sometimes people just don’t feel like talking, she excuses herself to go to the carpentry shop, but before she leaves, she asks Blanca how she is feeling. Blanca responds, “Well I feel, so I’m alive.” Blanca then notices that Dani looks nicer than usual and thinks there may be an intelligent man somewhere who she might meet see the brightness in her eyes.]

At the apartment building, Frida goes up to the rooftop. When Xavi catches her playing his piano, and asks what she is doing, she asks if she can play it, but he refuses to lend it to her saying that he won’t let anyone get near his piano. After he shoos her away, Frida goes off crying and tells Marisol that the man yelled at her because she was playing with his piano. Marisol becomes very angry and goes to look for the owner of the piano, but doesn’t find him. Meanwhile, Xavi is up on an upper level looking down at them and thinks that woman will will never leave him in peace.

Gabriel goes to see Daniela at the shop. When she exclaims “Otra vez, el burro del trigo” (again, the donkey with wheat). he tells her he doesn’t understand her language but she wonders if he doesn’t have anything better to do. He tells her that, until they fix their problem, he won’t be at ease. She tells him to sit down and as she sits beside him, he tries to place his arm around her, but she gives him a “don’t you dare” look. Dani tells him that, as of that day, he should consider her unemployed. Gabriel tells her that he will then have to sue her. Gabriel thinks her boss should pay her, but she assures him that she has a small savings and she will pay him however she can. When Gabriel ask how many dollars she is talking about, she chides him for trying to act American, but he explains that he only deals with international businesses. When he notices a nice table, Dani confides she made it…and it’s made of fine wood. He is pleasantly surprised and tells her he will accept her savings and the piece of furniture…and she will never see him again. As he walks away, he turns back to look at her, but she stands turned away from him. After he turns back to leave, she turns to look at him.

Eugenio invites Robert to go eat. As Eugenio shows Robert how to mix the food so the tacos will be taste better, he points out that, after so many years, they are sharing their first meal as father and son. Robert agrees, but insists that they can’t be sure until they complete a DNA exam. Eugenio, however, doesn’t need more proof, so Robert wonders how he can be so sure that he is his son. Robert knows that there ar man coincidences, but the picture in the file was faded. When Eugenio brings out the picture he has kept for 34 years and shows it to Robert, Robert stares at the picture, then looks at Eugenio who shares that he has looked at that image for 34 years…34 years of waiting for him, his Juan Pablo! Eugenio also confides that he has always wondered what his son’s face would look like and can’t understand how he didn’t know Robert was his son the first time he saw him. Robert also can’t understand how this is possible…he has spent years thinking he had been abandoned, so Eugenio assures him he was not abandoned...he was with his mother and he got lost; and they went crazy searching everywhere. Eugenio then tells Robert that he is his father…what other proof do they need, but if he wants the DNA test, he can have it done. Robert tells him he isn’t questioning that he is his father, he’s just worried that Blanca will be hurt again. Robert shares that there were so many things that would affect him. He always wanted to know what their faces looked like…his mother‘s face. Ever since he came to the building, he felt something specila. After Eugenio wonders what he thinks of his parents…are they what he imagined, Robert replies, “No…they are more beautiful…much more beautiful.” Eugenio then offers a toast: “para el mal, mescal; y para el bien también” (for the bad, mezcal; for the good, also).

Blanca and Marisol at the Córsega home as Blanca continues to worry about Eugenio. Marisol offers to look for him, but Blanca calls him. When he finally answers, he tells her he is with a…friend…a friend he has known for many years. Blanca is still upset and tells him that when she is out and he calls, she will also tell him she is with a friend. He assures her everything is fine and hangs up.

When Robert comments that Eugenio and Blanca have a very special way of treating each other, Eugenio confides that Blanca is a part of his being. Robert then gets a call from Julieta and tells her hehas had an emotional day. She doesn’t bother to ask why… she excitedly tells him she has bought the tickets and they leave for New York in two week. Robert looks dismayed.

MMTF Episode 13, 9/7/2017 Part 4

[Mexican version: Linda is at work telling a client that her crooked nose reflects her life, but the client doesn’t think her nose has anything to do with all the confusion in her life. When Linda asks how many times she has felt sad because of her nose, the client thinks Linda may be making a good point. Linda suggests that it would be best to fix it and thus, straighten out her life.

Bruno and Cornelio are at their place. Bruno tells Corny-o not to blame himself…women think men are all idiots, but Cornio thinks he is the king of idiots. When Bruno suggests they form a club of betrayed men, Cornio wants to be the president. Bruno offers a toast to all those men who bought women a crocodile purse and to all those who got stood up. He then tells Corny-o that he will take vengeance for what Linda did to him…no one will make a fool of his friends, especially the ugly ones. Corny-o doesn’t like the last part, so Bruno tells him he has an exotic beauty.

At the carpentry shop, Gabriel comes for his table and tells the men to be careful with it. When he tells her that they finally understand each other, Dani responds that she will do anything not to see the “Juniorcito.” She then demands his signature that will indicate they are even and she owes him nothing. If he shows up, he will have to have another excuse. Gabriel interprets that to mean that it bothers her to see him. As Dani turns away from him, he teasingly gets close behind her, but she hits him with the pad. After he calls her an ingrate and tells her she will finally get her wish to not see him, Dani thinks it best that each goes their own way. Gabriel reminds her of all that she has given him--a hit on the head, a crash, and also…the worst kiss of his life. They give each other and elevator look, then turn away quickly. After he leaves, she thinks about the kiss…and looking disappointed, whispers, “clearly, it was the worst.”

Ana’s assistant gives her a note and tells her that was all Julián had received from Imelda. As she looks at it, she reads, “My freedom is in your hands.”

Julieta happily takes pictures of the apartment and posts them on the web.

Robert and Eugenio go to get the DNA test only to find out that Blanca’s DNA record have been deleted as per Ana’s request. Since Eugenio doesn’t want Blanca to find out, he will use his own DNA for the test. Robert would prefer to do the test at hospital, but Eugenio insists that this is where they have always come. Robert also wants to wait for the results before he talks to Julieta. He isn’t sure how she will take the news.

Ana is at Blanca’s. When Blanca asks why Tulio hasn’t come to visit, Ana replies that he has been very busy. Imelda comes in with the news that her bank account number has been requested so that they can deposit the money that is being paid back to her by Julián. Blanca wants to tell Eugenio so they can let Julián go, but Ana insists they wait until the money is deposited. Ana excuses herself as Blanca tells Imelda that they were desperate at the time. Ana goes to the bathroom and calls her assistant ordering him to deposit the money. She reminds him that there should be no mention of this to anyone.

MMTF Episode 13, 9/7/2017 Part 5

As they leave, Eugenio insists that after they get the result, he doesn’t want to be referred to as Don Eugenio. Robert confirms that his name Juan Pablo and repeats it…he likes it. Robert still can’t believe it, but Eugenio knows that soon they will be sure. Robert is going home to think about everything and see Julieta. They usually tell each other everything, but Robert doesn’t think this is the moment to tell her anything. Eugenio reminds him he also has to tell his “other family.”

Julieta is at work as Luz wonders what is going on. Julieta confides that she is going to New York to live their own. She wants to leave everything finalized at work. [Mexican version: Julieta receives a call from a lady that wants to see the apartment.

[Mexican version: Frida is eating outside as Xavi passes by and sticks out her tongue at him. They tell each other that they don’t like each other. He demands respect as does Frida. She yells for her mommy who comes quickly but not quick enough to see Xavi. She goes after him but he hides in a doorway, then sits at a table using a newspaper to hide his face.] As Marisol gets closer, she starts to ask him a question but recognizes him as Xavi Galan. She does the usual fanatic admirer stuff and thinks he should remember her because she was his unconditional fan. She offers to have a drink but when he refuses, she asks for an autograph…and wants him to write, “For my beloved Marisol.” When she asks if he will be there in Oaxaca, he says he is on tour and wants to learn more about Mexico. He leaves as she wishes she had asked him for a kissed.

At Belen’s store, Belén calls Amalia over to tell her a man (on some dating site) wants to meet her. Amalia refuses and thinks Belén just wants to get rid of her, but Belén thinks she shouldn’t leave the world without knowing the love of a man. When Amalia walks away, Belén tells her to be careful and not touch the clothes, but Amalia goes and does it just to irritate Belén. Amalia can only imagine the stupid things a man would say to her, but Belén assures her the men on that site want a serious relationship. Amalia agrees so they respond to the interested man.

[Mexican version: Julieta shows the lady the apartment and tells her the neighbors are spectacular… she will love the smell of bread.] As Julieta assures the lady she will live in peace, Audifaz and Polita arrive and Audifaz warns the lady that she will have to be careful with the rats…he has seen them; they are huge. As Polita nods in agreement, she adds that they also bite. The lady now knows why Julieta wants to get rid of the apartment so quickly, so she leaves. Julieta chides Audifaz for saying there are rats. Polita intervenes and tells her not to mess with her chiqui-chiqui (man). They insult each other about how unbearable they are and they don’t like each other. Blanca hears the yelling and goes out to the hallway. Meanwhile, Imelda gets a text. Ana tells her it’s from her bank alerting her to a deposit to her account. Out in the hall, Julieta yells that she is tired of them, so Blanca yells back that they are also tired of her. They blast each other for what seems like an eternity until Blanca asks Julieta to control herself, but Julieta doesn’t think she should butt in when she doesn’t even know what they are talking about…she shouldn’t get involved. After they yell to each other that they should respect each other, Julieta stomps into her apartment. Ana comes out and tells Blanca she shouldn’t get upset because they are leaving anyway. She suggests that they should reach an agreement so Julieta and Robert can leave ASAP. Blanca is all stressed out and is upset that Eugenio hasn’t gotten there. She needs to go to the bakery to see if he has returned. As Ana and Blanca walk outside, Eugenio and Robert are arriving. Ana wonders why they are together as does Blanca. Robert and Blanca look at each other as Robert says his first hello to the woman he now knows is her mother…and they continue to look at each other tenderly.

I know they're doing it for comic relief (which they don't need), but having Belen always eating, licking her fingers and smearing the clothing in the store with her greasy hands is just plain disgusting. They don't need the "jokes" about her weight, either. It's all very off-putting.

Hi, RVG Chick,

Well, for a discussion page that was intended to provide bare bones synopsis of this, our recappers have instead given us in-depth coverage of the goings on with our troubled group, and you have done such a wonderful job of exploring every nook and cranny of this story for us RVG Chick. Thank you!

Ana ordering Blanca's DNA results to be deleted must be the opening gambit in a fraudulent reporting scheme by Ana meant to confuse and attempt to nullify the true results. Robert and Eugenio should have gone to the hospital as Robert suggested.

I am confused by the Corney/Bruno/Linda story line, but am betting that Bruno winds up with Linda.

I chuckled at Julieta calling Audifaz Mr. Man-who-has-an-original-name. Not being very good with names myself, I wish I could get away with that sometimes.

Although it makes for a good plot device in our little stories, I am unconvinced about the call of the blood that makes relatives sensitive to those close to them has any basis in fact, in fact, from what I have read, the opposite is true.

Thanks again, RVG Chick. Wonderful coverage and insight.

David

RgvChick, what a warm, touching tribute to last night's pivotal episode.

"They cry and hold each other tightly with all the love they had lost for 34 years" brought a lump to my throat. Beautiful.

The way the scene was written, filmed and acted, I could not have imagined anything more perfect.

How could anyone not be overjoyed reading "After Eugenio wonders what he thinks of his parents…are they what he imagined, Robert replies, “No…they are more beautiful…much more beautiful”? Impossible.

There were so many soulful revelations "Blanca responds, “Well I feel, so I’m alive” and "Eugenio confides that Blanca is a part of his being".

"They exchange a few unpleasantries" hee, hee.

I have a question. Was the man who was where they got the paternity test a "bad" guy? I have a feeling there will be a problem with the test. Am I wrong?

"Robert and Blanca look at each other as Robert says his first hello to the woman he now knows is her mother…and they continue to look at each other tenderly".

Lovely Rgv Chick...

Why do I think Julieta will not be thrilled with the news?? Happy wife? Nopis. Happy life? In time. In time. :)

There is little to add as the events last night and your amazing recap speak for themselves.

Thank you!

Diana

Ahhh David. Our comments crossed.

"Ana ordering Blanca's DNA results to be deleted must be the opening gambit in a fraudulent reporting scheme by Ana meant to confuse and attempt to nullify the true results".

My worst fear!

Jeez, after that picture perfect reunion, it would be terrible if doubt were to creep in now.

How could Ana be so cruel???

Diana

Thank you, Rgv Chick, for your detailed recap. Very enjoyable!

David, I like your "Corney" because that is exactly what that character is.

My ears perked up, too, when I heard Robert say he would prefer to do the DNA test in the hospital. Uh, oh!

I wonder if the scenes are cut from the Mexican version just to accommodate more commercials here since there is no censor worthy content in this one. : )

More later.

Thanks so much RVG!!!

Looks like all of our ears perked up at the DNA test at hospital. OMG they can't do this to Eugenio! Plus, if it is messed with and comes back negative, then Rob may leave with Juli to NY.

Also, I think Rob needs to be honest now with Juli about not moving to NY. He has a foundation that relies on him and a good job. Not to mention this thing with his parents. Juli is being very myoptic. She knows Rob is remembering a lot of stuff here.

Oh Dani, Dani. Do not let this guy get away. Their scenes are killing me. Just grab his face and plant a big one on it!!!! Like I would in your place!!! ha ha

David, agree that Bruno and Linda are now destined for each other!

Thank you, CHickie.

Eugenio and Robert\juan hugging was so sweet. #inlovewithDaniel This guy is a true galan.

Julieta seems to not have a high opinion of family, but who can blame her with her mother and brother. In the end, Robert's family will become her family, too. ...except for Ana and her nasty hubby.

I am able to do maybe three recaps a week- I do need to catch up this weekend but I'd be able to recap Mondays-Wed and Fridays. I can start next week.

I was so scared of watching anything with Daniel because of that novela which will not be named but he's really winning me over here!

"I was so scared of watching anything with Daniel because of that novela which will not be named".

Agree Ellie! He is perfect for this part.

Diana

Ellie that would be great! I usually blame the writers when a TN goes bad because it is usually their fault. He was awesome in Amorcito Corazon and then was in two horrible Latoodle productions.
