Enamorandome De Ramon, 9/6/17 Chapter 20: Hortensia the Horrible Hatches new plan to get rid of Ramon
Repeated scene: Luisa and Juana are talking about the trouble it would
bring to them if the witch AKA Hortensia found out that Juana and Fabi were
dating, if they were dating. Nosy Dalia is listening when she hears Juana say
that if it was between Fabi and Dalia she would prefer Dalia (fewer problems).
Dalia thanks her lucky stars.
New Scenes: Dalia does not hear when Juana says if she had no choice
Dalia would be it, but the best would be for Juan to find someone completely
different. She says that if Dalia and Juan got together and they had problems
their friendship (Luisa and Juana’s) would suffer. They agree to try to avoid
having problems in that case.
Benito at his mom’s complaining about all the luggage she has packed
for her one week trip. He is going to have to rent a van. She tells him to go
ahead and rent the van unless he’s too tight to pay for it. Benito says no
problem he will get van. He then is about to tell her about Luisa, and says “I
have something to tell you” she interrupts him and says it must be good news
because my tea cup settled and I read something good will come of this trip.
Benito thinks about it and decides not to say anything.
Dalia in her bedroom thinking about how her godmother (Juana) prefers
her for Juan, so she better start doing things right and not push them to leave
the house, because Juan has to be hers and no one else’s.
Virginia texts Roxana to see if they can talk, Roxana says yes and
immediately dials Virginia’s number. Virginia jumps right into the gossip of the
day. “Well girl you won’t guess who I found at Antonio’s apartment” “Who” “Margarita”
“Oh that little b%$#%, I thought something like that was going to happen” She
realizes that Margarita probably told Antonio about Agustin, and that’s why he
went to the airport. Virginia tells her that the biggest problem is not that
she is with Antonio but that she is an attorney. She has to hang up because
Jorge and Osvaldo get home.
Virginia asks her sons why they look so upset. Osvaldo tells her that
they need the number for the police report because Jorge saw his car out in the
street but was not able to stay with it.
Julio is at the casino winning.
Antonio and Margarita are cleaning up after dinner; Diego has gone to
sleep already. Antonio asks Margarita what does she think about Virginia’s
visit. Margarita is sure she was just spying on them, and she does not believe
that she did not know that Roxy was in Miami, they are close friends. Margarita doesn’t care what they think as
long as Antonio doesn’t care. Antonio tells her he doesn’t care and they begin
to kiss each other passionately.
Susana is at home when her mom shows up, the first thing she
does is ask her why she was at the casino. She says she was there with Osvaldo,
well her mom does not want to see her there, if she sees her there again she
will take money, car and all privileges.
Antonio and Margarita after having had sex receive a call. It is for Margarita from Hortensia
call. She has to leave, Antonio asks her not to leave, so she decides to stay
because who cares if momster gets mad.
Ramon in his room thinking about what Juana told him about not falling
for Fabi, but Ramon thinks maybe he shouldn’t be thinking so much about Fabi.
He then hears a knocking on his wall, and it turns out to be silly Dalia who
was signaling him to come over. She asks him to forgive her for being so dumb; she
does not want to lose him because he is very important to her. He forgives her
because he loves her the way she is, even if she is silly.
Julio arrives to the waiting family and they tell him that they saw the
car and they want the police report, Julio dances around the issue and tells
them they should have not followed the car because it is dangerous, the thieves
could have weapons. Osvaldo says that he would have done the same at the time;
Julio chides them and tells them never to do that again because if something
happened to them he would die. In the meantime he will report to the “police”
himself.
Monster mom is hidden behind the door when margarita walks in, asks her
where she has been, Margarita does not miss a step and tells her she stayed
late at work, well guess what monster mom already called the office and
Porfirio said she left a long time ago. Oh well, yes she lied, but should not
have because she is an adult that should not have to be telling her mother
where she is, was or has been. Monster mom reminds her this is her house and
she needs to obey the rules, well in that case maybe she will move out.
Fabi finds Andrea sleeping, and kisses her forehead and hopes she is
having a good dream.
Next morning Monster mom is having breakfast, margarita says good
morning and Monster mom “can’t hear” complains of headache, and not feeling
well. Margarita tells her she should have gone to doctor, well how could she if
Margarita won’t go with her, she will have to ask Julio. Well go for it monster
mom Margarita has better things to do like looking for an apartment. Margarita
leaves and Monster mom thinks to herself, she’s not going to let margarita get
away with anything.
Diego on phone talking to Roxana tells her that they are going to the
park, and asks Antonio to take Margarita to the park; Roxana hears this and
asks Diego he has been seeing Margarita a lot, Diego says yes. She keeps
pressing Diego for info but Diego has nothing more to say. Antonio takes the
phone "why don’t you ask me for info?" she says if she wanted to hear
from him she would have asked he then hangs up on her.
Margarita shows up next, and Antonio tells her that Roxana has already
has spoiled his morning. Margarita feels bad for him.
Andrea comes to breakfast and tells Fabi she’s not feeling well, Fabi
worries and offers to ask Jorge to take her out. Andrea says that she will be ok;
she is going to go see Juana with Jorge. Poncho shows up to pick up Fabi’s car
and to take her to the shop. She says bye to Andrea and hopes that she feels
better.
Poncho runs into Hortensia the Horrible and mentions that he is picking
up Fabi’s car, but wait Fabi doesn’t have a car, well the car her mom left her
you noisy witch. What for, well she is going to learn to drive, and who is
teaching her, Fabi walks in and takes over with the answers, only she doesn’t
say a word to Hortensia. Well no need because she figures it all out Ramon is
teaching you right, Fabi just looks at her and says nothing, leaves her to talk
to herself.
Antonio and Margarita are having coffee in his apartment and he tells
her that it is a good idea that she get her own apartment because it must not
be easy to live with monster mom. Right, not easy at all. Then Margarita asks
what the problem with Roxana was, he explains that she was on phone with Diego obviously
digging for dirt, so he got on the phone and yada, yada (we all know what
happened). She then tells him whatever; as long as she does not find out that
you will be asking for Diego’s custody. She tells him not to mention to anyone, he
says he hasn’t and won’t. Doorbell rings and it’s momster, she is not pleased
to see her there, and tells her “What are you doing here?” Margarita thinks
fast and tells her that Antonio needs her as his attorney, and momster wants to
know for what, and Margarita tells her that she will not be telling her what
for.
Julio tells Osbaldo that he made the report to the police so Osvaldo wants
to know what they are going to do, well Julio tells him that they will look at
the video cameras.
Back at Antonio’s he asks momster what she came to his apartment for, "well
I heard that Fabi is going to get driving lessons, and I want to know who is
giving her driving lessons", Antonio who is also quick on his feet says,
that he is. So momster then asks well what about Ramon" is he still
working at the shop?" Of course he is; he is a good mechanic, and Antonio
will not fire him because Hortensia the Horrible doesn’t like Ramon. Well she says "aren’t you aware of what
he did to me?" well mam yes he is aware, and he heard the version of the
events that he believes and does not want to hear her version. Well momster is
shocked that he is not a reasonable man and that he doesn’t take her side,
especially because they are “family”. Well not really because he is not even
sure that Hortensia the horrible even appreciated his sister (Fabi’s mom), and
anyway Antonio thinks she fabricated the whole story of Ramon hitting her. And
please don’t be telling him what to do. Momster leaves in a hissy fit.
He apologizes to Margarita but she thinks he did the right thing; this
is the only way that Hortensia understands.
In Miami Agustin comes to invite her to go out, but she thinks she
wants to go back to Mexico, Agustin not happy about that and questions her. She
thinks Antonio is plotting something because he is seeing margarita and she is
an attorney. He may be trying to do something to take Diego away from her, and
if that’s the case she would die. Well Agustin not happy and tells her well
decide what you want to do and let me know, leaves the room in a hissy fit. (Going
around today)
At the shop Ramon is asking Dalia to let the owner of a car know that
job is done, and she says in a very sweet, good mood, that she will do it
gladly. He tells her that it is good to see her in a good mood, and she says “I
look prettier in a good mood right?”, “well less ugly” he retorts jokingly. At
that moment they hear a horn, and he assumes it’s Fabi and leaves tout suite,
to Dalia’s dismay.
Sure enough it was Fabi and she is extremely happy to see Ramon, as
demonstrated by her ear to ear smile, and batting of the eyelashes. Ramon asks
poncho to pop the hood open to check out the car. Dalia made her way out to spy
on Ramon and Fabi, when Rulo approaches her from behind and says “stop
suffering for someone who pays no attention to you”
“You know I want with you” “well I want nothing, to do with you” Rulo
leaves but assures her that she will fall for him.
Her attention now back to Ramon and Fabi, she thinks to herself well
the saying says to keep friends close, and enemies closer” so she prances over
to where Ramon is checking out Fabi’s car and all friendly tells her that it is
a good idea that she use the car so that
it won’t go to waste, as a matter of fact she was thinking she should learn to
drive too (hint, hint), but to her bad luck Poncho offers to teach her to
drive, (lol)
Susana meets Osbaldo at a restaurant and he wonders why she wanted to
meet him there instead of her house, she explained her mom saw them at casino
and is upset so she wants to tread carefully because she does not want to lose
her car and her privileges. He suggests they go to another casino, but she does
not want to risk, well in that case he can go alone, he does not need her
anyway. She takes that hint and tells him that in that case let’s call it quits
because she realizes that he will never give her her place with her family
anyway especially after the way she treated her in front of them last night.
Andrea is watching home videos, of when they were young, at that moment
Jorge shows up and they start watching a birthday one together, then they see
when a young Jorge leans over to kiss little Andrea. She points at him accusing
him, and he tells her no "I did not kiss you, you kissed me." They
laugh, and he hugs her sweetly.
Benito and Luisa run into each other, where he tells her he still has
not told his mom anything. She is not happy about that but he convinces her
that he did not tell her because his mom said when she got back from her trip
she was going to receive good news, and he assumes the good news is that Benito
and Luisa are an item. (Dream on Benito)
Momster goes to the shop, with documents that she claims demonstrate
that she owns part of the lot where the shop is built, so she wants her
property back unless they are willing to fire Ramon. Fabiola asks her uncle not
to fall for this, and Antonio says he won’t. Well in that case she wants rent
from him; well the rent will have to be from Fabi and Andrea. She prefers to
pay rent than to have Ramon fired.
Momster can’t believe it, but if they don’t pay rent they will have to
vacate the part that belongs to her.
Out in the street Juana is setting up her food stand and Jorge and
Andrea are telling her how delicious everything. A client shows up and tells
her that everything is really good.
Antonio tells her that it won’t be that easy to make them vacate, but
momster doesn’t care all she wants is her property back. She gives them a week
to think about it. Fabi tells him everything will be fine, and they will figure
it out.
Hortensia goes out and takes it out on Ramon tells him that she will
make sure he gets fired, Ramon does not answer her and just stands there and
takes it. Dalia comes out and tells Ramon to defend himself but he doesn’t. So
Dalia says she will, but Ramon tells her not to get involved, Hortensia says
she better stay out of it too, or she will also lose her job. Hortensia leaves
satisfied with her evil self. Dalia tells Ramon he should just quit, but Ramon
doesn’t want to hear it. He goes in to see what Fabi and Antonio have to say.
They tell him the situation and Ramon offers to quit since he is the problem.
But now it’s personal And Antonio won’t let that witch run his shop or his
life. He will check with margarita to see if the documents are accurate. In the
meantime everyone just calm down, and ignore that witch. Ramon thanks him for
his trust.
Juana moved her stand to the corner of the avenue, and she starts
getting many customers.
Porfirio comes into margarita’s office to tell her that he is going out
to lunch with Veronica, and invites margarita. She does not want to she’s busy,
he asks her for her advice as to where to take veronica, he suggests a
restaurant that is special to margarita (a sad attempt to make her jealous, not
working)
Antonio calls her and tells her that momster is trying to do her evil
deeds again so he is coming to see her at her office; she suggests they go somewhere
else.
At the shop Ramon is still upset about Hortensia, he feels guilty but
there is no better medicine for this than Fabi’s fabulous smile, and her
suggestion to ignore the evil witch. He smiles at her and agrees to get back to
normal. All this happens under the watchful
eye of Dalia, who is dying inside.
Osvaldo goes to a casino, which looks a tad seedy; he does not look
very comfortable and stands awkwardly at a roulette table.
Juana continues making good business, and sells out. A customer asks
her how often she will be there, and Juana says every day. “Well you will see
me here every day” she is happy, Jorge and Andrea are happy for her and he
starts suggesting she should also make this, and that, and maybe eventually buy
a truck or rent a space. Juana says slow down, we need to take it day by day.
Andrea thinks that she will do better here than taking care of them. Juana
agrees that she will make more money but not necessarily better for her.
Porfirio in car driving Veronica, and realizes that he forgot wallet;
he has to go back to office.
At an empty parking lot Ramon is telling Fabi the basics of driving the
car, explains where the clutch is what the speeds are, etc., etc.
Benito calls his mom who is in Chicago visiting family. He tells her he
is missing her, although she just left. Luisa overhears this part and thinks
man this guy has “mamitis” (the closest I can think that compares is that this
guy has not cut the cord) He hangs up on her, and Luisa comes to talk to him,
he offers to make dinner for her tonight since he is home alone, she agrees but
states “only dinner”.
When Porfirio gets to his office he sees that Margarita is outside with
Antonio, and he sees them kiss. Porfirio is visibly hurt.

YEs, Sandie. . MAMITIS does mean guy hasn't cut the cord, which is NOT so uncommon in the Mexican culture, -often used to describe a guy ( he has " mamites" ) when it is impeding a relationship. Def more common common in Mexico in Mexico than in the USA.
H the H is getting worse by the minute. Even if everyone in the family hates her, it doesn't seem to affect her one iota. ---and thank goodness Margarita has finally stepped up to the plate-- took long enough!!!! I keep wishing someone would physically do her in but no use wishing for that because she is driving that important aspect of the TN ---the "can't wait feeling" till she gets her comeuppance.

I enjoyed rereading your great recap now that I've seen the episode.
"momster is trying to do her evil deeds again" and "Hortensia leaves satisfied with her evil self" were favorites among many.
"At an empty parking lot Ramon is telling Fabi the basics of driving the car, explains where the clutch is..." I have to give kudos to the actors here. They made those driving lessons hot. The scene oozed hot chemistry. I can only say I had no such similar driver learning experience.
“He forgives her because he loves her the way she is, even if she is silly”. Yes, every woman yearns to hear those exact words! Not! Sigh. Poor, deluded Dalia. If she thinks Fab is her only competition, wait until stormy Sofia bursts on the scene (speculation, not spoiler).
I’ve never been in a child custody battle. That said, it is sad and frustrating that parents can’t put their personal feelings aside and do what is in the best interest of the children. Roxana is not a good wife, but she is a good mother. She needs to stay where Antonio is so her son is not deprived of his father, who loves him. BTW, looks like Augustin is fed up so Roxana might end up home sooner than she thinks.
I like Porfirio. Looks as though he has no chance at all. I'm not committed to Antonio/Margarita because I can't shake the fact Marg added so much fuel to the fire resulting in the airport debacle.
I wonder when we are going to get a hint that either Jorge or Andrea is adopted.
Glad Juana's side business is heating up. Get that woman a food truck!

It was a close one for Julio. One of those days he will get caught.
To consider the timeline, just yesterday morning Fabi was a fiancee of Francisco and was going to marry in one month. They broke up, she spent lunch and dinner making eyes at Ramón, almost kissed on porch. Admitted to Andrea she feels something for Ramón. Today she pulled him to give her driving lessons so seductively. I thought she was going to kiss him right there. Now they are doing some activity together (driving lessons) alone. I wonder what is going to happen ;)

ITA that the driving lesson looked more like foreplay than what it really was...WOW!
I have no well wishes for Margarita or Roxana, neither of them deserve Antonio. While he's not doing much to help the situation, he seems to be a good, caring guy.
HorHellia is unbelievable...the lengths she goes to just to keep Ramon and Juana away from the family is incomprehensible nad just plain wrong! I don't want to say it's revenge or vindictiveness because Juana and Ramon haven't really done anything to her, although in her eyes, they have.
I'm glad Margarita stood up to HorHellia too, but she only did it when it benefited her. Had she stood up for the girls, then I would have rooted for her, but, again, she's only doing it to be with a man who is still married.

Diana, nobody seems to know where the birds go. But around here, it is common to have someone walk out of a mall or somewhere and note. "Hmmm...no birds, hurricane must be getting close."
I have never seen a bird spinning around it's branch hanging on for dear life, but they surely disappear in storms. The squirrels and other critters just crawl into or under something and hopeo for the best from what I can tell.
"That said, I think Esmerelda could make a rock sizzle." Veeerrrr true. There is something irresistible about that perky, happy, bubbly, smiling little shit. In her little mini skirts.
These driving trysts should be a perfect opportunity for her to create a situation wherein Rambo has to jump virtually on top of her to take control of the car to save their lives or something. She'll figure it out. At least she can lock Thigh Gap, (you know the chick in the glorified pantyhose) out and have Rambo all to herself with no interruptions.

I can see those that can burrow doing so but would love to know what our airborne friends do.
I am not a fan of perky. But because it is just one of Fab's many fab characteristics, I forgive her. :)
I suspect Fab doesn't even need to have a minor fender bender. She looks about ready to jump into Ramon's lap. Stick shift be dammed.

ITA about Roxana but not so much Margarita. I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. She is a nice person, she loves Antonio and does not want Roxana to make him a fool. She is simply standing up for her man, and as the saying goes "all is fair in love and war". She lost points by not standing up to HTH but I think it was out of fear and respect, she is finally going to get away from HTH and she may prove to be deserving of such a good man.
My least favorite plot line now is anything having to do with Osvaldo, he is annoying which is further evidence that Jorge is probably adopted. Osvaldo fits right in with Virginia and Julio, but Jorge he is the Outlier.

I think Margarita was jealous when Porfirio stated where he was going to lunch with V. She looked upset. I think Antonio's hotness is clouding the feelings she feels for Porfirio. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he gets her in the end. I think Antonio is going to end up back with Rox when all is said and done.
I'm getting tired of Horty! She is so over the top that it is keeping me away from watching. Plus, I'm still table Sofia. Where is she??? I just find Fab kinda boring.

Sandie, I couldn't agree with you more about Osvaldo. My least favorite character. Surly and nasty has never been an endearing combination. They needed a patsy for the sold car but other than that, I don't feel he adds any value at all to the storyline. His yearning for his gf's mother is gross. Mom and daughter could also both leave the story now and would not be missed.

NiNa I am fine, Thanks. Actually I usually keep gallons and gallons of water around for a lot of different things anyway, so I didn't have to worry about that. I am curious if I can make it until the hysteria is over and the price plummets to buy gas again. Luckeoly I had filled everything up right before Irma came on the radar so I have plenty If I don't mind pumping a little out of the boat for the car..
The predictions for this hurricane's route are beginning to congeal showing a strong possibility of it making a swipe up the East coast of Fla., which leaves me out of the excitement. I suppose I won't be lashing myself and my camera to a palm tree and getting some action photos after all. :-)

When did TN kids become so trusting? Ozzy's father is a scumbag and it probably didn't happen overnight but Oz believes every blatant lie? Many kids do not believe half of what their parents tell them to begin with, and lots of times with good reason. So why isn't Oz double checking Julio's story when there are more red flags than a Red Socks game?

Thank you Sandie, you always do a great job. I was kind of suspicious about the part in this episode that seems quite harmless but yet doesn't seem to fit. (Guess I'm already suspicious). It's the part where Andrea is watching old home videos. This could be a gold mine of information especially if there is another will recorded on one of these videos that shows that Hortensia has NO POWER over anything in their lives and somehow puts restraints over her.
Just a thought....My brain is always working overtime on these "out of place" scenes. Hortensia needs a good slapping!
