Enamorándome de Ramón, #36, Oct. 2, 2017: Love Speaks and the Naïve Fall Prey to the Cheat

Here is the recap, courtesy of RGVChick:

Starting with the (previous) end in mind: “ You have to help me to split them up because they are doing something unnatural together. So tell me, what should we do?” Virginia is not liking what she is hearing and looks at Sara skeptically and says, “Nothing. I don’t need your help or your good intentions. Is that all you have to say?” She opens the door for Sara to leave. “I don’t know how it came to you that Jorge and Andrea are in love. You can leave now.” Virginia lets her out then shuts the door. She then thinks to herself, “I never knew the day would ever come that I would have to tell Jorge that I’m not his real mother.” (courtesy of Cynthia)

Jorge and Andrea are kissing in front of Andrea’s apartment right before Fabiola and Ramon arrive. They all enter together. Juana offers them dinner, but Jorge has to leave. Juana asks Fabiola to go in to the kitchen and shows her what she has gathered for Ramón but Fabi thinks he needs more than that. Juana thinks Ramón should take responsibility for the rest of his needs; though Fai convinces her to at least give him some sheets and bed covers.

At their dinner meeting, Veronica impresses Porfirio and the men with her suggestions and knowledge regarding the release of employees. When the man compliments his “assistant,’ Porfirio clarifies that she is a lawyer at his office.

At the casino, Julio is already spending his commission when he gets a call from Greta inviting him to a game, but he has to check what other commitments he has (like waiting to hear from Juana).
In her kitchen, Luisa thinks about Benito’s words “what does Ada have that you don’t” when she receives a visit from her competition (Ada) for the “tanda” (an informal rotating savings and credit association) money. Before she gets the money Luisa checks out her rival’s assets from top to bottom. As Ada leaves, Dalia arrives and asks who the girl was. Luisa emphasizes that the “girl” is her own age, but Dalia suggests she ask her how she keeps so young being that she looks at least 10 years younger. Luisa thinks it’s just her body.

In the kitchen, after Fabi praises Ramón for the food, they kiss as Juana watches disconcertedly. Ramón has to go tell Luisa he will no longer live there after tomorrow. After he leaves, Fabi shares with Andrea that Ramón is getting his own place and she is getting some things for him. Andrea wants to help him out too, but Juana refuses though the girls outvote her. Fabi then calls Jorge to ask for help in delivering the things. Juana is uncomfortable.

At Benito’s house, Benito is scolding his mother for sending Ada for the money as she arrives. FredesMama tells Ada that Benito was worried about her. When Benito asks how Luisa was, FredesMama responds with a snide remark… After Ada teases FredesMama in English, FredesMama suggests Benito learn English and shares that he already knows Italian.

Porfirio comments to Veronica that Mr. Valencia complimented her profusely. When Veronica thinks he is jealous, Porfirio denies it because he will never let her leave his side. When she wonders if that’s a professional comment or another type, he asks what she thinks. She prefers it not be professional, then moves in for the liplock which Porfirio does not refuse!!

Ramón arrives at Luisa’s and tells her he found a place for himself as Dalia does her usual eavesdropping. He will be moving the next day. When Luisa asks where, he offers to write it down for her as Dalia sheds a tear.

Next Morning—

Jorge, Juana and the girls load up his car to take everything to Ramón. Antonio approaches and asks if Diego can stay with them for a while. Juana agrees to stay with Diego and tells the girls to go ahead without her.

In her bedroom, Virginia is going through Julio’s clothes. As Julio comes out from the bathroom and catches her, a paper drops to the floor. He chides her for looking through his clothes and snatches them away.

Antonio arrives at Roxana’s and tells her he has to talk to her…about her pregnancy (no rock to hide under!). The only thing he wants to know is that the baby is Augustín’s, but Roxana tells him it could also be his because of the term of the pregnancy. She shows him the ultrasound and the report she just got indicating that she is approximately six weeks along… during which time they were together.

Virginia goes to visit with Betito and Mother Anselma. She thinks about the many years that have passed and they have never had any signs of feeling, thinking…she wonders how this can be called a life. Virginia has been thinking about taking him home and caring for him herself since she is his mother. Mother Ancelma suggests that before making a decision, she should think it over well. They have 2 other sons and they don’t know how they will react. She should bring them to meet Betito first. Virginia agrees and thinks she didn’t handle things well since the beginning.

Roxana knows it’s an uncomfortable situation. When she was with him, she really hoped things would work out, but she wanted out of their routine life…that’s why she was interested in Agustín. She doesn’t expect him to understand; she just wants him to know why things happened. Now, she and Agustín have split up; and she lost him (Antonio) because of her stupidity. She came back from Miami because things were not working out. When Antonio asks if Agustín knows she’s pregnant, she tells him he doesn’t, but she will surely tell Agustín if it is Agustín’s baby. When she wonders how he found out, Antonio replies that their doctor congratulated him for the pregnancy. He was hoping she would tell him it was not his and wants her to take a DNA test. She remains quiet.

At Luisa’s, Dalia isn’t eating very much. Luisa doesn’t want things to be as they are. When Dalia complains that Ramón didn’t have to leave, Luisa tells her if she had listened to her, things would be different. After Dalia questions if Luisa has never been in love, Luisa replies of course, but they aren’t talking about her…no matter how much it hurts, she has to forget Ramón. He preferred to leave so things wouldn’t get worse. Luisa pleads with Dalia to distance herself from Ramón…maybe even look for another job, but Dalia refuses to leave the way open for “esa” (that one). Luisa prudently tells her that if not Fabiola, it will be someone else…but never her; he will always see her only as a friend. When Dalia storms off, Luisa prays that Dalia understand that her love can never be.

Fabiola and Co. arrive at Ramón’s, so she calls him to come help. Ramón is surprised with everything and wonders if they will be moving in with him.

Luisa invites Dalia to the market, but she refuses. Instead, she gets Ramón’s address and immediately calls Fransicko with the info. She jeers that Ramón already moved in and Fabiola is probably already with him…and they will be alone.

Once inside Ramón’s apartment, Jorge kids Ramón not to invite anyone over because they will think he likes flowery things. When Fabiola doesn’t think a bit of a feminine touch will hurt, they laugh about it, but Ramón still wonders what people will think. After she teases him about wanting to have a calendar of sexy women on top of cars, Jorge and Andrea decide to leave to meet up with some friends.

At the market, Ada and Ben walk arm in arm as FredesMama shops. Benito thinks (to himself) that he is hanging on to her when he should be with his “changuita” (little monkey). FredesMama turns and looks at him…and snaps him out of his thought. Just then, Benito sees Luisa and makes an excuse to go get some pomegranates, but Ada insists on going too. When he pulls away, he stumbles into a vegetable stand, so Ada tries to help and falls on top of him just as Luisa sees them. Benito tells her it’s not what she thinks, but Luisa retorts, “No, it’s what I see!” Ada thinks Luisa is strange since she didn’t even try to help them.

Jorge and Andrea are riding in his car. When she wonders what friends they will be meeting, Jorge admits it was just an excuse. He wants to take her out to eat, but he didn’t want them asking questions.

Fransicko goes to check out Ramón’s place and thinks Fabiola is crazy to go with a guy like that. Meanwhile, Fabiola and Ramón are inside making out and telling each other they love each other. Just then, Juana calls because she is waiting for them. When Fabiola tells her they haven’t quite finished, Juana wonders what they are doing that is taking so long (but I’m sure she has a good idea). She insists that she and Diego are waiting and adds that she made pastel Azteca. Ramón agrees that they go…but at least they now have a place to be alone.

Antonio goes to a bar and has some drinks. He tells the bartender that it’s not every day you are told that you could be the father of your wife’s child. He then remembers being in bed with Roxana and talking about giving Diego a brother…or a sister that would look exactly like her. He always wanted more children but not under these circumstances.

Benito goes to Luisa’s house but when Dalia tells him she is not there, he tells her he came to leave a message from his mother. He will give it to her himself next time he sees her.

At Benito’s house, Ada wonders why Benito didn’t want her going with him to buy pomegranates…is she being a pest (ugh, yeah!)? FredesMama thinks he probably just wanted to go to the restroom and was too shy to say so. She shares that Ada’s mother’s death has affected her and made her reflect. She feels her time is coming to an end on this earth, but there is something missing in her life. She feels it deep in her heart and can’t leave this world without resolving it.

Julio and Andrea sit in front of a food stand which Osvaldo told him about. Andrea wonders if he brought Natalia, his ex-girlfriend. Jorge thinks she is jealous but, no, he did not take her there. He wants Andrea to know that she is the only woman in his life.

At Fabiola’s apartment, Juana wonders where Jorge went…he didn’t mention anything to her. When Diego asks if Ramón is her boyfriend and wonders about Fransicko, Fabiola tells him Fransicko is no longer her boyfriend; the only one she loves is Ramón. Diego is glad because he likes Ramón better than Fransicko (and so do we!). Juana remembers to tell them that she met with Don Pedro who advised her that Julio’s idea sounded good. Fabiola thinks they should give the money to Julio so he can start investing it.

Somewhere by a nice mountainside, Jorge tells Andrea he luuurves her; he doesn’t care what anyone says. When Andrea says his name, Jorge gets excited and asks her to repeat it. When she can’t, he tells her not to overexert herself, but they need to tell the doctor.

At Roxana’s home, Agustín stops by with a bottle of wine and tells her he found a job at a promising company. He won’t be getting what he used to, but it’s a start. They can now live together, but Roxana thinks he’s moving too fast. The circumstances are different and she’s not sure Diego will accept it.. When Agustín suggests she can’t make decisions solely based on Diego, Roxana argues that she can’t rush Diego; she needs to think about it a few days. Agustín gets upset and thinks she is making excuses…she just wanted him to take her to Miami. She knows his intentions…when she knows hers, she can call him.

At her home, Virginia wonders how she will tell hers sons about Benito and how she will tell Jorge he is adopted. Just then, Juana arrives looking for Julio. Juana wonders if she knows Julio will be helping them with an investment; she is there to tell him everyone is in agreement with his advice. When Virginia finds out that Juana will be investing $125,000, she asks Juana if she is sure they want to give him that much money (that should be a red flag but Juana ignores it). Juana explains Don Pedro was consulted and he agreed it was a worthwhile idea. When Julio arrives, Juana tells him they accept his offer. Julio wonders when she would like to meet the director of the company, but she doesn’t want to go…he can handle it since he knows so much more. After Julio advises her that she will have to sign a notarized power of attorney, Juana agrees, but as Julio escorts Juana out, Virginia knows he is going to cheat her and wonders if she shouldn’t permit it or remain quiet.

At the theater, Ramón, Fabiola, Diego finish seeing a movie and sit to talk about it. Ramón and Diego continue talking about the movie and start imitating the monkeys.

At Luisa’s, Dalia goes into Ramón’s room and sits on his bed crying. She finds (Sofia’s) earrings on the floor and wonders about them.

Antonio goes to see Margarita at her apartment. When he confides that Roxana is pregnant, Margarita wonders if it’s his, but he doesn’t know. The idea of having another child with Roxana makes him feel bad. Margarita wonders if he will go back to her if the baby is his, but he isn’t sure. Margarita thinks he shouldn’t worry until he knows for sure it is his and adds that a baby is always a blessing, though Antonio thinks it’s a blessing if the man loves the mother. After Antonio leaves, Margarita wonders why this had to happen.

At Virginia’s home, she enters her bedroom and finds the paper that dropped. When she sees that it is from Plaza Center, she wonders what Julio was doing there at 2 a.m.

At Fabiola’s home, Jorge and Andrea enter excited that Andrea talked. He shares that she only said one word, “Jorge.” Juana thinks it’s probably because they spend all day together and asks why she said it. After Andrea writes “for no special reason,” Jorge adds that they were at a scary movie and Andrea shouted his name when she got scared. Juana thinks it’s progress and wonders what the doctor will have to say about it.

As Virginia thinks about Plaza Center, Julio comes in bragging that Juana confides in him. Virginia feels sorry for Juana because she doesn’t know who she is getting involved with. Julio chides her for complaining and always criticizing him. When Julio leaves, Virginia gets a call from Roxana who has much to tell her. They make plans to meet the next day. After she hangs up, Virginia plans to find out what this (Plaza Center) is about the next day.

Benito waits for Luisa outside her home; he has been looking for her, but Luisa just wants to forget him and all the wasted years at his side. She needs a man who will love her and give her the place she deserves. She wants a man that will stand up to his mother for her. Since Ada arrived, he replaced her with Ada. Benito pleads that she should understand that one only has one mother…what does she want him to do. When Luisa tells him that FredesMama thinks he and Ada will make a nice couple, he assures her she is the only woman he luuurves, but Luisa doesn’t want to see him anymore...he made her waste 5 years of her life. It’s finished!

As Luisa enters her home, she finds Dalia at the table dangling the earrings she found. She thinks they belong to Ramón’s “novia.” When Luisa notes they are expensive, she advises Dalia that she needs to return them to him.

Jorge enters his home and tells his mother Andrea spoke. When Virginia comments that Andrea is very important to him, Jorge agrees and adds that he adores her. Virginia recalls that they have been inseparable since very young and she looks at him. When he notices how she is looking at him, Jorge wonders if she wants to tell him something.

RVGCHICK,I know this will be a good recap but I gotta go to bed. But I'll be a readin tomorrow.Thank you
In advance.Really virginia,you never
Thought youd have to come clean with you replacement son about him being
Benito's stand-in. O they love him but Ooo the deception. Ok more tomorrow, good night yall.

Thank you!!

Alfredo: Love the title.

RGV: Clever Girl. A fun episode before it was RGV'd. After the process, what a fun episode. Tank U.

A. I like Vero more every time she is on. The girl is smart, works, and throws a liplock that is hard to ignore. Right Poorfi? You Go Girl.

B. Ada is approximately the same age as LU? Benny maybe you should rethink this, she is Mom approved. To this woofer there is no comparison, looks OR personality wise. With a catch? like Benny she might start wearing colors. Although she is pretty hot in monochrome as it is.

C. What was significant about the receipt or whatever that Virgi found?

D. The household stuff to set Ramon up is not Wanna?'s to give away. It is probably considered part of Horturd's personal household goods.

E. The Little Mermaid comforter turned finished side down was a hoot.

F. I am beginning to feel bad that Ramoon saved Dalia. Little Witch. Sure she sheds a crocodile tear or two now and then for effect, so does Horturd.

Happy Tuesday patio.
72 degrees earlier this morning. :-)
BUT headed for 92 later today... :-(

RgvChick, amazingly detailed and great fun! You are such a talented writer.

I missed this so truly appreciate your recounting all of the details, some very pivotal to this storyline.

“She prefers it not be professional, then moves in for the liplock which Porfirio does not refuse”, “Dalia sheds a tear” amd “Diego is glad because he likes Ramón better than Fransicko (and so do we!) were among many favorites.

So Virginia is considering telling her boys about Betito? There is clearly a heart beating under her icy exterior and obviously more to her than her obsession at knowing and analyzing every single move of her husband. I suspect Jorge would easily love and accept his brother. Oz? Definitely not.

I had a wide range of emotions when reading the discussions between Antonio and Roxy. “He was hoping she would tell him it was not his and wants her to take a DNA test. She remains quiet”. What about the baby herself/hisself Antonio? “He always wanted more children but not under these circumstances”. Steel your self – this isn’t just about you but the baby’s mother and yes, the baby. Even Marg was kind “ a baby is always a blessing”, but Antonio”… thinks it’s a blessing if the man loves the mother”. Ack.

“Luisa prudently tells her that if not Fabiola, it will be someone else…but never her; he will always see her only as a friend” – good advice Dalia refuses to heed. How much more will she let herself be humiliated by loving someone who doesn't return her affections? "Little Witch. Sure she sheds a crocodile tear or two now and then for effect, so does Horturd" was spot on Kirby!

I hope Vero really does care for Porf. He deserves someone special. I still have a nagging feeling that Marg and Prof will be together...

Is Virginia going to let Julio swindle Juana? Sure sounds like it.

Happy that Andrea is finding her voice.

RgvChick, thank you, thank you!

Cool school Kirby.

I was trying to see (but couldn't) if the windows had something covering the inside.

Is the building still being used?

Diana

From the looks of the remainder of the building and grounds, it is still in operation as a school, although I have only been by in Summer when school is out.
Look closely at the front "Brownsville School 1922".

Thanks

Correction Brownville.

If Jorge would follow my suggestions Andrea would wake the next morning with a slight hangover, her voice, and a Fabi-style smile.

Dr. Woofer

Did you guys see the preview where Frankenfarter is trying to break into Ramoon's Apt and a garbage truck mistakenly picks him up with the trash and compresses him?

Oh wait, maybe I dreamed that. Forget it. Sorry

good morning, all. Sunny here but it was cold when I left the house at 5.45. The temperature is supposed to go up to 74 later. So, we are into the fall routine of cold nights and mornings and warm, sunny afternoons. Aldo, there are pumpkins all over the place. they must be a good morning crop. A plethora of pumpkins.

I was surfing in and out of this episode because Jamie was being coerced into deflowering someone which made Ramon and Fab's cuddling in the bed kind of pale in comparison. Well, enjoy the cuddling because it is only a matter of time before Determined Dalia is going to make trouble. Why does she think that these earrings belong to Ramon,,'s novia? They could be Fab's..or Ramon's.

Susanlynn: I see that Fabiola's evil family members are still upping the ante & WINNING ?

Good Morning and thank you for your kind critiques :-)

Kirby and Diana, I really do hope Vero turns out to be good for Porfi; he's such a nice guy and deserve to be happy. I just can;t shake this feeling, though, that Vero is going to be a disappointment (knocking on wood)...there's something about her, maybe in her eyes, that I distrust.

Diana, "There is clearly a heart beating under her icy exterior" ITA I just hope she handles that situation and Juana's dilemma well. She is clearly thinking things through. I just hope it's not a day late and a dollar short...hehe I also keep thinking about that "threat" Julio made that Virginia is becoming an obstacle. Hopeofully he is only a cheat and a heartless BSer.

Roxanna is so unbelievably selfish and has no qualms about admitting she left Antonio AND Diego because she was tired of a routine life. It's obvious she wants Antonio to be the father, but what will happen when the "excitement" of a baby fades off?

I wonder what the "monkey see, monkey do" scene was for? To show that Ramon relates to kids?

Kirby, I hopeo your dream of compressing Frankenfarter comes true...they can compress him into a "frank" and flush him down the toilet.

I made the same mistake (BrownSville) when I first saw the building, Kirby. Maybe because we have a "major" city in the Valley named Brownsville.

Susy, glad you brought up the earrings. Wasn't it odd that Ramon would leave Sofia's earrings just lying around like that? You'd think it would be something he would make sure to hide in a secure box/container/something where he would be sure not to forget them.

Thanks so much RGV!!!!

So I've lost respect for Juana. She was given a huge responsibility when given this money. Instead of stepping up, trying to learn, and be in charge she plays the "little ole me know nothing about money so I don't wanna go and try to learn something. You handle it". If she gets swindled now by Julio it is her own fault! On top of it she was offended when Tony questioned why Juana and Julio were out together, well if she is going to act this way, he should question it.

Re: Earrings. Maybe in the excitement of a place of his own and the fact that in his mind he has moved on with Fabi, there was not much to cause him to keep / remember them.

In an ideal world, their discovery in his possession at a later date would not be the best. Just a guess.

Carvivlie. Yes a hundred percent over. Dumb and helpless is for babies, not a grownup choice.

"Do you want to tell me something?" O
Yeah jorge,she does,she should,she better.
And she also need to clue jauana in on
Her thievin crook of a hubby.$125,000 is waY to much money to give to that crook.

Dalia is awoman scorned. That is rather
Very dangerous.Frankinfarter seems to
Be more scorned than she is. Now what
Is he suppose to do with the address
Hellalia have him? This looks very bad.

I'm so glad to hear lulu lay it out to
Benny the cowardly novio. He has no balls at all. Momma cut em off. Yes he
Loves mom but he can't live life for her. She'll be dead soon and he'll be
Stuck with Ada and her body. Which may
Be a weakness for him, but if the love
Ain't there that will get tired quick.
Should have kicked him to the curve a
Long time ago,cuz the apron strings has cut off along with his balls his oxygen to his brain.

Antonio,augistin,roxana,diego,interest
ing family dynamic.Hows it gonna work?
Well if little girl or boy comes out
Lookin like big bro, who's as cute as a button, they'll have a pretty family.

Where's helltensia? haven't seen her lately, which is a good thing. Dalia
Should have been her granddaughter.
She's vengefuls like she is.

I'm sitting on the porch on the beach and this nor'easter is really whippin
Up and I'm actually sleepy. Is it the salt air or just the windiness? We get
Up to 83°today here in noreastern fla.
Interesting weather this year.And the
Other stuff. Y'all be safe.

You're welcome Carvivlie. I agree, Juana is a big disappointment. I do hope she shows that poser of attorney to Don Pedro before she signs it...but then she's so stupidly taken with Julio that she'll probably sign the danged paper without reading it.

NiNa, thanks so much for such a good laugh...love your snark, especially "the apron strings has cut off along with his balls his oxygen to his brain."

So, .... what is so irresistible about Beenutlessalongtimeito anyway?

He doesn't leave that trail I spoke of like Ramoon. I don't see him slaying Dragons protecting Ada or Lu either. I guess he is attractive, in a shrimp kind of way. Is he related to a producer? He is funny but so was Captain Kangaroo. I mean he does a hilarious 'cat in heat'. Better than anything in the app store.

Kirby, Beenutless apparently has some that Luisa likes...or it could be his sweet talkin' skills that attracts women. Luisa did make a comment about that.

Kirby and Chickie...I think it's his jammies.

P.s. Because we always had a barnful of cats when I was growing up, I, like Benny, can do a verra convincing cat, especially, an angry cat. #talent

Thanks RGV awesome recap. And thanks to Cynthia for Friday's recap just got a chance to read both.

Virginia was actually somewhat concerned about Julio swindling Juana, momentary concern but it was there. She may not be as dumb as she appears plus the fact that she did not freak out about Jorge and Andrea says a lot about her character.

Benito's cousin is annoying IMHO, she may be better looking than Luisa, but the chemistry that Benito and Luisa have is priceless. And "better looking" is only superficial. The way she interjects her English is not funny, it is just annoying. The fact that Fredesvina approves of her, WHO CARES, I know Benito will make the right choice.

Jorge and Andrea are so cute together. I want Virginia to tell Jorge he is adopted already. So that they can be together officially.

Dalia and Frank deserve each other.

" I want Virginia to tell Jorge he is adopted already."

She probably figures she has kept the secret for 25 years, another 30 episodes won't hurt.

I want Virginia and Julio to tell Jorge and Osvaldo the truth too. I don't think it will be easy to swallow for either, especially with the other son still alive and Virginia possibly bringing him home to care for him. I think Jorge will take it hard and Osvaldo will be conflicted--his selfishness in one way or the other will win out.

Thank you, Rgv Chick.

I am disappointed in Andrea and the fact that she did not tell Juana and Fabiola about Oz's car incident. Just think about it. The guy is so broke and so dishonest that he would take a car from his son, make a theater of it being stolen, sell the car to pay his debts. And that is the guy that they will entrust their money? I feel that the chances of that money surviving are pretty low.

Lucio, apparently somebody in script dropped the ball on that one. A N Y B O D Y would have brought that up at the first mention of Julio and their money. Good point.

All of this would be moot if Juana went to the bank and didn't give authorization to Julio.

Lucio, great observation regarding Andrea's failure to bring up the car incident. If anything, it would at least make Juana be more cautious about getting involved with Julio; but then look at how many people have tried to warn her about him and she hasn't given it a second thought. I think she is blinded by the fact that, according to her, Julio is the only one who has always been "nice" to her...something that, IMO, Juana is thrilled about though she fails to admit it.

It will be fun watching the fall of Wanna? as Julio gambles away all her and the two girl's money. Just last night he was already at the gambling table like a heroine addict with a fresh fix, giddy with his newfound source of money.

As I have a severe disdain for stoooopid people I am looking forward to Wanna? having to face everyone when it surfaces that Julio has 'Badly Invested' (gambled away) their inheritance.

Let the show begin. !

YEP!

You mean Andre a knows about the gigantic lie that is Julio the badass
Gambler? She know how to write on that tablet "uncle Julio is a lying cheatin
Gambler who wants to releave us of our
Inheritance". I agree kirby, her over
Niceness is gettin really annoying no
Body is that nice and trusting to pure
Stupidness. Excuse the spelling. I am
Tired, had a busy day.
