Enamorandome de Ramon #50, October 24, 2017: Break-ups, make-ups and a whole lot of shake-ups

Previous Scene:

Ramon is out looking for a “Home Depot” that closes late, he needs to buy the fuses for his house. Sofia happens to be across the street and sees him.

 New scene:

Sofia yells out to Ramon and chases his car but Ramon leaves without noticing her. Sofia is a sharp cookie and knowing she can’t outrun the car does the next best things and memorizes the license plate number.

Lucho calls Ramon to let him know that his last check is ready. Dalia asked him to call Ramon. Ramon tells him he will go pick up check tomorrow.

Sofia runs to her apartment and writes down the license plate number, and tells herself that with that information she will find Ramon. (maybe, maybe not)

Luisa comes by Benito’s post and wants to partake in a little bit of loving, but of course MS. Gringa calls her son and Benito like any child answers the phone and wants to know what his mommy wants. Luisa gets upset and leaves him wondering what he did wrong (dense, simply dense)

Luisa is not one to sulk, so she goes and finds Finito and decides to go have coffee with him. Finito obviously is delighted to go out with her and promptly accepts.

Rulo meets with his friend about the new “job” that Frank want's done, at first Rulo is not convinced he wants to help disappear anyone, but since there is good money involved he agrees to do it.

Finito takes Luisa to a Karaoke bar and asks her why she seems so sad. She tells him she feels that she is going nowhere in her life. He gives her some pretty sound advice and tells her “don’t count the days, let the days count” “follow your dreams they will lead you down the right path” and like any good friend then takes her to do Karaoke.

Ramon replaces the fuses and lights come back. Fabi has dinner ready, and he is surprised that she did such a good job in the dark. They sit to eat, and then he wants to turn of light because dinner by candlelight is more romantic.   Ramon tells Fabi that his final check at the shop is ready and he wants to meet her for lunch tomorrow so that she can go buy a dress for the wedding with the money he is getting. She agrees but he can’t go see because it’s bad luck for him to see the dress before the wedding. He agrees and then tells her she will be the most beautiful bride.

Finito and Luisa continue at the Karaoke bar, they are drinking and Luisa looks like she’s already had enough. Finito tells her that he is very happy to be there with her, and maybe someday his dream of being with her will come true.

Julio is in bed thinking about Juana and he thinks that he is being ridiculous for doing so.

Juana is in her bed dreaming about Julio, she dreams that he proposes to her, the same way that Don Pedro did. She wakes up and smiles and thinks about Julio.

Finito is walking Luisa home, she is drunk like a skunk, and he continues to tell her that he is thankful that she is his friend and says “ones fortune is measured by the quality of his friends, thank you for being part of my fortune” Luisa is impressed with his ability to come up with all of these sayings. He says it’s because he always wants to be positive. She goes to open her door but she is too drunk to do it, so he opens it for her. When he turns around she imagines that he is Benito, and goes to kiss Finito. She realizes her mistake and tells him “thank you, I had a good time” and goes inside. Finito is thrilled and thins that love may be knocking at his door.

When Luisa walks in the house she runs into Dalia who right away notices that she is drunk. Luisa says “yes, just a little bit” “no you are falling down” Luisa then says well blame Benito, it is his fault. “He has been playing with my feelings and does not give me my place” Dalia looks amused at Luisa’s confession, Luisa goes to bed and Dalia smiles about what she just heard her mother confess.

Juana makes pancakes for Andrea and they talk about Fabi. Andrea tells her that Fabi seems happy. Fabi calls Andrea at that moment to ask if she can meet her to go look for her dress. Juana asks for phone to talk to Fabi, but Fabi does not want to. Juana gets the hint and leaves.

Benito is signing of his night shift when Dalia shows up and tells him “how could you keep your relationship with my mom a secret for 5 years?”  Benito tells her that they never had the chance to tell her. Dalia also tells Benito, “Why did you get my mom so drunk?” Benito says he didn’t and he leaves to go ask questions of his own. Dalia realizes she may have spilled the beans for her mom.

Ramon goes to the shop to pick up his check, he wants to go in and say thank you to Antonio but he is not there. Lucho gives him his check.

Juana is in her room crying because Fabi did not want to talk to her, Andrea tells her not to take it so seriously. Things will cool off and get back to normal. So she tells Juana to get back to her things to get her mind off of the problems. Andrea sees the white roses that Julio gave Juana and asks her where they are from Juana lies and says she bought them.

Andrea is getting ready to leave and realizes she left her phone in Juana’s room when she goes in to get phone she finds the note from Julio that says “I still feel the flavor of your lips”. She runs out to confront Juana about the note, and asks Juana why they kissed, Juana says he kissed me. Andrea asks if she likes Julio, Juana replies that it will never happen again. Andrea acts mad and leaves. Leaving Juana feeling concerned. She takes the note and rips it and tells her self that that should have never happened (the kiss that is)

Benito goes to Luisa’s to find out who she went out with last night. She tells him that she went out with Finito to forget the past 5 years. Benito gets upset because he knows that finite is after Luisa. Luisa reassures him that nothing happened, but Benito is too upset and leaves.

Sofia calls Detective Escamilla with the information about the license plate; he tells her that he may be able to find something with the license plate.

Benito is at his house, he tells his mom that Luisa is going out with Finito and he feels defeated. He knows he is good to Luisa and if she does not know how to appreciate him than he will be done with her. He says this in Spanish to Fredesvina, she continues to pretend she does not understand, but when Benito leaves, she celebrates that Benito and Luisa are breaking up.

Juana texts Julio that they have to talk. She will tell him straight out that what they did is wrong, because Fabi and Andrea are more important to her than anything else.

Frank drops of cash for the “job” he wants done. Rulo’s friend calls Rulo tells him he got money already, and that they have to go pick up truck he borrowed. Rulo goes into Antonio’s office and lies and tells Antonio that his mom had a stroke, he needs awe of. Antonio has no choice but to let him go.

Sofia is putting up posters looking for Ramon.

At a mall Ramon gives Fabi money for her wedding dress. Andrea shows up and tells her that Julio and Juana are going out. Fabi can’t believe it.

Julio shows up to talk to Juana; she tells him that they can’t have anything. He asks “why the change of heart” she tells him that Andrea found the note from the flowers. Julio explodes and tells her “why are you so careless?” at this Juana tells him “what you wanted to keep it a secret, and just have me be your lover?” Julio realizes he should not have overreacted and apologizes to Juana tells her it’s just that he wanted to let the family know slowly. Well Juana does not want anything with Julio so just leave it at that she tells him. He asks if she is sure that she does not feel anything for Julio, she says she is sure and then Julio leaves.

At Luisa’s she is sitting having tea, Dalia walks in and chides Luisa for hiding her relationship from her. Luisa says it does not matter anyway because Benito and she broke up.Finito comes to visit Luisa with a flower, and tells her that she kissed him last night, she is shocked.

Julio is driving in his car and is determined not to lose the best business deal in his life (that being Juana’s money). He dials Andréa’s phone and leaves her a message.

Luisa tells Finito that she does not remember the kiss, but she must have been thinking about someone else. Finito graciously accepts defeat and leaves.

Adalgisa gives Benito some great advice. She tells him to talk things over with Luisa. Fredesvina hears this and thinks that Adalgisa is a dummy for not taking this opportunity to replace Luisa.

At mall Fabi finds her dress, and now she is going to look for shoes. Andrea listens to message from Julio. Makes a face, as if she wants nothing to do with him.

Benito goes to see Luisa, and he apologizes, she accepts and they make up. She looks concerned about lying to Benito that nothing happened with Finito.

Ramon tells Fabi he wants to see her dress, she obliges and then he wants her to put it on, she obliges again.

Dalia is having tacos and she sees one of Sofia’s signs on a post. She calls Sofia and tells her she can give her information about Ramon. They will meet tomorrow.

Thank you for the excellent recap Sandie.

“Break-ups, make-ups and a whole lot of shake-ups” was perfect.

“Benito like any child answers the phone and wants to know what his mommy wants” was my favorite line of many.

“Fredesvina, she continues to pretend she does not understand, but when Benito leaves, she celebrates that Benito and Luisa are breaking up”. ‘nuff said. No longer funny, no longer engaging.

“Finito is thrilled and thinks that love may be knocking at his door”. We’ve seen little of him, but unless I’m missing something, I think he is great! “don’t count the days, let the days count” is sage advice. I am assuming he will be Adalgisa’s consolation prize. In reality, I think she is getting a much greater gift than Luisa.

“Juana asks for phone to talk to Fabi, but Fabi does not want to”. Grow up princess. Not the way to treat your future MIL.

Not surprised Andrea saw the note. I wonder how much time has passed since Virginia died? Whatever the timeline, it is way too soon for Julio and Juana. But I wonder if the “girls” would be happy about the prospect of that relationship at any time. I feel like I’m watching children who are embracing a Peter Pan lifestyle and simply refusing to grow up. I fear the situation is going to push Juana into Pedro’s arms…

I had to smile at Dalia finding out about Sophia. I can only imagine the glee with which she will bring her up to speed about Ramon’s love. And engagement. Well, perhaps it is best Sophia be prepared as she will likely come face to face with the happy couple sooner rather than later.

Was that really a wedding dress? I thought it was a nightgown. Definitely not couture.

Thank you Sandie!

Diana

Hoochie wedding dress maybe. I guarantee it is no longer than her other skirts.

Did you notice the knobs on Wanna's stove when she was making Andrea's pancakes? Must have been ten or so.

Thanks Sandie. Much appreciated

OK, aside from Sofia, most of the storylines here are not interesting enough to keep me entertained, so:

Exactly how is the Fab/Andrea/Wanna? living arrangement set up? The MILLION$ seems to be a separate entity unto itself, so let's ignore it for the moment. How do the three girls live? Is a neverending fund of some kind set up to feed and clothe them, give the girls spending money, pay the mortgage and utilities and taxes, etc, and provide a salary for Wanna?

The three of them seemed to live about the same, pretty good I might add, while the ownership of the MILLION$ was in limbo. If that is the case, then if Wanna? does in fact squander it away on Foolio and his gambling, the status quo remains.

BETTER SCENARIO...Wanna? friddleshits the money away on Foolio and the girls decide they can feed themselves anyway so they let her go so she can go live with Brokio and Jorge, and they keep what had previously been her salary and other expenses. And everybody gets what they deserve.

What ya think NiNa? You are always good at conjuring up these alternate universes.

Sandie: OMG!!! WOW!

Thank you, Sandie. I missed the show because I forgot that it was on at 7 instead of 8.

So..what have we learned...1) never date a mama's..never ever
2) Juana is a good cook..but that is about it

3) logical thinkers watching this show need to put on their beanies because it does not make sense on so many levels

4) Sofia has unbelievable luck or a tracking device on Ramon plus she is smart enough to know that she cannot outrun a vehicke

Mama's boy...sorry...hurrying

I don't know how the sisters and Juana have been sustaining their lifestyles. Yes, they appear to be living pretty much like they did before.

Did they have any money in reserve? If not they must be drawing on the money with Pedro's oversight. Rent, utilities and so forth aren't cheap. Juana is supposedly still on salary (?) I mean those hot cakes don't make themselves.

Fabi and Andrea should be able to support themselves, with or without partners, or "the money". I'd like to see it put to good use. The sisters and staff taking care of Betito immediately come to mind.

Susanlynn, Sophia is definitely smart and resourceful. And even with her murderous father, does she really have more baggage than Fabi? :)

I'll miss tonight's show and am sorry to miss the Dalia/Sophia meet and greet :)

Diana

Kirby: good insight about the living arrangements, what I recall is that when the Million was in Limbo Fabi began to work at the shop, so that was their money. I am thinking the apartments must be owned by the family. Fabi's main concern was paying Juana when she got her job.

Susanlyn: absolutely agree about your #3 yes many plot lines are RIDICULOUS, Benito for instance is one, yes we had our fun but what the hell, his mom can't wait? what? no if he did that to me I'd go with the next guy that swept me of my feet, oh wait, she did atta girl Luisa!!

SusanLynn:
"Juana is a good cook, but that is about it." With a range with twenty-eleven knobs even I could scramble an egg. If she is as adept in related departments as she is in kissing, Julio, you should just pass, the girl can't even kiss. In those areas, 'teaching' is only fun once, and that should already be off your bucket list Julio.

Now let's dissect Dalia Dingbat while we are at it. (I am) I used to watch her and think she is dumb as a box of rocks. Then the next night I'd think she is an evil little bitch. After last night it seems I was right both times.

If she is already losing the Ramoon Superbowl to Fabi, the last thing she wants to do is recruit Tom (Sofia) Brady to play on the opposing team.

She is not doing much with just Fabi to contend with, only a fool would alert another (possibly stronger/more desirable) competitor. This makes me believe she is not only stooopid, but evil enough to have the "If I can't have him, nobody can." attitude.

"...only a fool would alert another (possibly stronger/more desirable) competitor. This makes me believe she is not only stooopid, but evil enough to have the "If I can't have him, nobody can." attitude".

Nailed it Kirby. That is why Dalia (who I think is very attractive and can be nice IF she wishes) only has Rulo (attempted murderer and thief) on the hook.

Hey all! A big belated thank you to RGV! And thank you, Sandie, for another wonderful recap as well. I agree about the Sofia thing being so ridiculous. I mean, the apartment building, maybe, the radio station, probably, but when Dalia looked up and saw the sign, ummm no. Sofia must have had to put those signs in every side street in that one neighborhood for Dalia to find it. And it wasn't even in a restaurant, it was on the street, next to a food truck. Too much coincidence ruins a story, even one as "light" as this one is.

Dalia is such a little harpy. Just to ruin Ramon's happiness she will tell Sofia where he is. Ugh, you don't love him if you want to see him unhappy and jobless as you were no help there either.

One thing that keeps grating at me, especially from Andrea and Fabiola, is the fact that they don't approve of Juana and Julio. Sure, the Virginia thing is one, but they rolled their eyes and turned their noses up in disgust at the thought of them together. This is coming from one girl who loves her cousin and another one who loves said servant's son. Colored me confused as f****

Now add the Agustin coincidence and it's way too much for comfort. I'm hoping Fabiola and Ramon get married, despite the ol' cliche, and then something happens. Would it be too much to hope for that they at least get kidnapped together? Maybe.

Where is crazy Hortensia? She could be on the floor again and no one cares. Oh well, reap what you sow.

I'm still getting a kick out of Luisa's and Benito's shenanigans. Dalia's reaction was funny, "I didn't know you had a man, and now you have two!" LOL

Thanks Sandie!!!! I admit I surf in and out of this show. I'm just holding on for the Sofia/Ramon confrontation. I'm also thinking that the writers have found a future suitor for either Sofia or Dalia in that mechanic friend that Ramon told to come to Mexico City.

Sandie good recap. This was a silly
Episode. The drunk thing with lulu and
Finito. And benito. His mother is bad ol woman, who needs to get a life. Of
Her own. Good luck with that you old
Goat.
Benito needs to grow a pair and stand up to his mother and stop bowing down to her Every whim. He's way over 50, he
Needs to cut those apron strings and
Take that dang apron and burn it. And
Stop whimpin out everytime momma calls

I like finite. He needs somebody with
No baggage.I like the stuff he says.
He needs to say it to somebody that Will receive it. It wasted on lulu.

To be or not to be? Whatever the writers come up with. One ofTwo faction
s can stop the wedding. Rulo and his
Minnions or surprise surprise surprise
The ex.
