Enamorándome de Ramón, #54, 10/30/2017: Everybody Disses Ramón…Except Sofía

<-Rewind to Friday’s ending: Emilia is at home talking to Ossie on the phone as she walks to another room quietly. She tells him she doesn’t want to sound paranoid, but they need to be more careful. Behind her, Susana follows like a little mouse trying to hear her mother’s conversation.
Fabi asks Juana not to feel guilty; she never knew who Ramón was. Juana replies that it hurts her to say she didn’t know him either. Juana knows that nothing she can say, can erase Fabi’s pain, but she can say that she loves her with all her soul. What her son did is as if he were doing it to her. As Fabi sinks into Juana’s comforting arms, Fabi thinks that if she had listened to everyone, this wouldn’t have happened, but Julio tells her not to blame herself...it happened; she needs to forget and go on with her life. Juana asks her Fabi to return home, but Fabi feels it would be like taking a step backward; she has to come out of this on her own, though Juana asks her to ask for help whenever she needs her. Fabi agrees and appreciates their support and everything they have done. As Juana gets up to leave, Fabi stops her and tells Juana she will move forward. Juana encourages her by saying that she is sure she will; Juana knows she can.

At the cabin, Rulo thinks he should return to Mexico. It would be suspicious if he was away too long. Dario agrees and tells him to contact the doctor to get their money. When Rulo asks how much, Darío admits they didn’t agree on an amount…but it better be good.
Next day (Sunday)—
Julio is going out for his usual Sunday breakfast with his mother and invites Jorge, but Jorge is meeting Sara for breakfast. Julio is happy he is seeing Sara. When Jorge mentions he talked to Ossie, Julio asks if he told him about Juana. Jorge replies, “No;” it‘s not his place to tell him. Julio then appreciates how Jorge reacted about Juana; he was very mature about it, unlike Andrea. Jorge thinks it’s his business, but wonders if he will tell his grandma. Julio thinks it’s best to wait; he knows she will hit the roof.
At Marg’s apartment, Marg wonders if Fabi (who is still in her blue polka-dotted robe with the same hairs out of place) is going to be feeling sorry for herself all day long. She suggests they go shopping, have lunch, and go to the movies. Fabi appreciates how Marg is trying to lift her spirits. Marg tells her she understands her since she has much experience in failed love and urges her to go with her. After Marg leaves to go take a bath and get ready, Francisco (who was so rushed to run to Fabi, he forgot to comb his hair) arrives and tells Fabi he heard what happened; he is there for her. Fabi lets him in (she can’t break a bad habit) and wonders how he found out. Francisco explains that Ossie, who is living with him, told him. He then uses his forked tongue and tells her he couldn’t sleep thinking about what happened to her; she doesn’t deserve it. He wishes he could do something to ease her pain. She thanks him, but there is nothing anyone can do. He harps on with questions, so she asks that he not ask her anymore questions; she doesn’t know yet what she will do with her life. He apologizes for being impertinent and just wants her to know he is there for her and calls her “my love. “ He tries to sway her with some sweet talk, but she dismisses him with a thank you and appreciates he came to see her. After he leaves, she silently asks Ramón how she could have been so wrong about him; she didn’t deserve this.
At the cabin, Ramón hears the van arrive and wonders what is going on. He thinks that if their intent was to kill them, they would have already done it. Outside Rulo tells Dario everything is quiet. Dario has already found out how Rulo can return. He will take a bus and reminds him to talk to the doctor and pressure him until he hands over the money he owes them.
At Marg’s apartment, Fabi is curled up on the couch crying, so Marg suggests she take a bath so they can go out somewhere so she can relax. When Fabi tells her about Francisco’s visit. Marg thinks it was nice of him; Fabi should know there is someone who loves her (money). Fabi wonders how she could have been so mistaken. Marg reminds her there were some good things; but Fabi thinks it was all just stupidities. Marg tells her this is just something to learn from, but Fabi can only feel a profound pain right now.
At Hortensia’s home, Hortensia tells Julio her meds are working very well. It also helped her to not to want to know anything about the family for a while…there’s just so many problems. Julio then tells her about Fabi been left waiting on her wedding day. Hortensia thinks it’s the best news, and Julio agrees though Fabi is suffering. He adds that it is the best thing that could have happened (so Ramón can be out of his way for the money). Hortensia is glad that it happened before things got worse; Fabi could have gotten married and then been abandoned. Julio mentions Ramón would have taken all their money. When Hortensia asks why Ramón left, Julio explains that Ramón left with the daughter of a Mafioso. This leads Hortensia to think Juana is involved with the criminals (only she would come up with that one). When Julio defends Juana and says she is a different type of person, Hortensia chides him for defending her, then wonders who is going to even look at Fabi now…no one would want an abandoned woman. Julio think she isn’t making sense, times have changed now. Hortensia gets one of her bright, but scheming, ideas and wonders about how she could give someone a little push to go help Fabi be rid of her grief, but Julio thinks she should stay out of it. Fabi isn’t ready for a relationship; she needs time to reflect.
At her apartment, Marg talks to Poorfi on the phone and tells him about her court hearing for the appeal. Poorfi emphasizes it has to be in their favor. Marg assures him they will win this time. When Marg tells him about Fabi, Poorfi can imagine how she is feeling and thinks Marg is the perfect person to support her right now since she is loving, tender, sweet, affectionate… He then reminds Marg she knows how he feels about her. Marg tells him she loves him very much too (but not the way he wants). Marg hangs up when Fabi enters. Fabi still doesn’t feel like going out, but Marg reminds her of all the people that are there to help and support her. When Marg brings up that she was surprised to see Julio, Fabi tells her Julio wasn’t really there for her; he was there because of Juana...they are now a couple. Marg laughs at the thought of Julio being love with Juana; she can’t believe it.
At the cabin, Darío enters and brings breakfast so he unties Ramón’s hands warning him that if he tries something, he will get shot. He tells him to hurry because he still has to give his girlfriend breakfast too. When Ramón asks who sent him…he just wants to know who is behind all this, Darío tells him to ask his conscience.
At Andrea’s, Andrea sees Juana praying and wonders what she prays for. Juana is praying for Fabi and Ramón —that Fabi find healing, and for Ramón to repent and straighten his path; she doesn’t know how to defend him. Andrea assures her it’s not her fault; she is not responsible. Andrea then apologizes for how she reacted about Julio. Jorge is right in saying it’s their business.
At the cabin, Sofía asks who ordered the kidnapping, but Darío refuses to say. She insists, and even when she tells him who her father is, he ignores it and tells her to shut up.
At her home, Hortensia calls Francisco who is at a store, to tell him about Fabi. Francisco pretends not to know. She insists the way is clear for him now, he can count on her. Francisco tells her she know he has never stopped loving Fabi, but he doesn’t want it to seem as he is taking advantage of the opportunity. Hortensia thinks Fabi is so disappointed right now that whatever comfort he can provide will be welcomed. He doesn’t want to force the issue and thanks her for letting him know. After he hangs up, Francisco buys a chip for his phone.
At the cabin, Dario looks up Sofia’s dad and finds out Sofía is the daughter of a notorious criminal and wonders what he got himself into and what troubles he would have if the father was free, but then, after some thought, he thinks he just might get lucky.
Luisa arrives to work and, after giving him a quick kiss, tells Benito she is late because she was showing Valente how to get around since he had never been to the capitol. They discuss how Juana must feel because of what Ramón did. She quickly kisses him so no one sees and leaves.
In her bed, Fredes is fiddling with the meds and wonders if she should give them to Ada as a punishment for covering up for Benito. She needs to think of something to split up Luisa and Benito, but she first needs to think of a way to start speaking Spanish; she is tired of speaking English.
At Luisa’s, Valente asks Dalia about distances to certain places. Dalia tells him the places he is mentioning are very far. She kids that in this city everything is far unlike the place where he comes from. Dalia will help him look for something (a job) closer.
Luisa arrives with Juana and they hug as Juana cries that Luisa has no idea what she is going through. Her son acted like the worst of the shameless and she doesn’t know why. It’s as if someone had changed him…like she hadn’t ever known him. Juana can’t believe her son did what he did. Luisa agrees it was cowardly. Juana thinks he fooled everyone. When Luisa mentions he left with a girl who is a daughter of a Mafioso involved in organized crime, Juana wonders if Ramón is involved with criminals and now thinks he left Tijuana because he could have been running from them…not because of the love problems he told her about. She fears he will end up in jail. Juana now understands why he had the expensive earrings…only the daughter of a Mafioso could have given them to him (really?); she will never be able to look at him as she used to.
Emilia calls Ossie to tell him they won’t be able to see each other, but he doesn’t seem disappointed; he is watching a game with Agustín. After they hang up and as soon as Emilia walks away, Susana looks at the phone and sees the name “Orlando,” wondering who it could be. When she hears Emilia returning, she places the phone back on the table and chitchats with her mother.
At Francisco’s, the guys chide each other about their teams and make bets as they drink beer. Meanwhile, Francisco texts Fabi a message that he is thinking about her and she can count on him. Fabi receives the message as she shops with Marg. When she only responds, “Thanks.” Francisco thinks she is going to be tough; so he will need to soften her up.
At Andrea’s, Juana confides to Luisa that Andrea found out about Julio and was very upset. Luisa figured that would happen. Juana then thinks about how she lectured Ramón about Fabi; though right now, she just wants to be close to Fabi. Luisa asks how Julio reacted, so Juana tells her he was very supportive of her. She then gets a sheepish smile and confides that Julio asked her to marry him. Luisa can’t believe it, then shrieks with delight and congratulates her saying she will probably marry before she does. Just then Andrea comes in to tell Juana she’s leaving to go out with Santiago. After she leaves, Luisa laughs and kids Juana that she will be the girls’ aunt.
Back at the bachelor pad, Francisco looks at the picture of Sofía and Ramón kissing. He then changes the chip on his phone with a devious smirk.
Andrea is leaving the building as she sees Antonio leaving with a small suitcase. When she asks if he’s living with Roxana, he confirms since it’s a high-risk pregnancy. Andrea asks when her new cousin will be born, so he tells her in about 6 months. When he asks about Fabi, she tells him about Fabi being stood up at her wedding. Antonio curses Ramón and thinks about how he helped him out and trusted him. After Antonio tells Andrea he plans to go see Fabi at Marg’s place, Andrea asks him not to scold Fabi, but he assures her he is just going to offer her his support. He curses Ramón again and wants to go… (tell him off, beat him up?), but Andrea tells him no one knows where Ramón is…he took everything without leaving as much as a note. Just then Santiago honks, so Andrea has to leave.
Francisco sends off the “bomb” which Fabi receives. When Fabi reads it, “So you won’t have doubts about how much we love each other...Salutations, Sofía,” she sobs as she shows Marg what she received. Fabi cries as she wonders how they could do that in addition to what they already did to her. Marg wants to respond to the text; she thinks Sofía is feeling insecure and that’s why she sent the picture. Since Ramón went with her, Marg thinks they are made for each other; and it’s not worth crying for. Fabi doesn’t want her to respond, but Marg insists and sends a response. When he sees it, Francisco laughs at the message, “Take advantage while it lasts, you were made for each other; you’re vile rats,” and knows he got to Fabi where it hurt. He then thinks that the more it hurts, the better; he will be there to care for her wounds.
Darío is outside the cabin and calls Rulo to tell him about Sofia’s father. He thinks they can now get more money out of Francisco since the risks are higher. Rulo needs to threaten Francisco that his name may be brought up and his head will be on the line. Rulo laughs at their luck. Inside his “prison,” Ramon sees a crack in the opposite wall and struggles over to rub the rope against the crack trying to tear the rope.
At Roxana’s, Antonio arrives and she sees his worried look; so he tells her about Fabi which makes Roxana feel bad for Fabi. When he tells her Fabi is staying with Marg, Roxana wonders if he will go see her there; so he confirms. After he leaves, Roxana hates that he is going to go see Marg while she is there lying in bed looking horrible.
At the cabin, Darío enters as Ramón tries to scoot himself back, but Darío knows he is up to something and kicks him in the back. Ramón groans. Darío gets his pistol and points it at him telling him this is where it ends. As Sofia hears Ramón yell out and then the shot, she starts yelling for Ramón and cries. Back in Ramón’s room, Darío warns Ramón that the next bullet will go straight into his head.
As Luisa leaves the apartment building, she passes by Benito who still can’t believe what Ramón did...he seemed so in love with Fabi. Luisa chides Ramón for making a fool of Fabi, but she feels sorry for Juana, after all, a son is a son. Since she mentioned “son,” Benito wonders if they might be able to have a “little monkey” someday. Luisa replies, “You have no shame, Benito,” but he gets upset because he clearly heard her say that guy’s name, “Finito.” She tries to tell him he misheard, but when he insists, she mocks him that she won’t say it again, “Finito, I mean Benito.” He tells her he never wants to hear that name. When she explains there isn’t much difference between the two names, he tells her he will not forgive her; he would rather she call him “dog” and locks himself in his station telling her to leave; he doesn’t want to see her.
At Luisa’s house Valente is satisfied with the three options they have found and hopes he will find something soon. When he tells Dalia that she’s really cool just like Ramón had said, she asks if Ramón really talked about her. Valente then shares that Ramón told him much about her; he loved her very much…she was the best friend in the world and there was no one else like her. As Dalia looks sad (and actually looks remorseful), Valente wonders why, or if it’s because of what Ramón did. Dalia snaps the she prefers not to talk about that and leaves.
At Benito’s house, Ada receives a call from Benito who complains about Luisa calling him “Finito.” She tries to persuade him that he probably misheard since the two names are very similar and suggests that if he doesn’t trust Luisa, then he should just leave her. Benito doesn’t like that suggestion, so Ada tells him that trust is very important in a relationship; he needs to let her be and confide in her. Benito calms down and tells Ada that her words calm him. He thanks her and tells her he doesn’t know what he would do without her. After he hangs up, Ada mumbles, “And you for me; what a shame that you don’t love me as I love you.”

At the cabin, Ramón listens (through a wall that suddenly became paper thin) as Sofía cries out, “You killed him, assassin!” Darío responds that he just scared Ramón so he wouldn’t be messing with him. If Darío had wanted, he would have already done away with them and adds that Ramón was trying to escape; so he was just teaching him a lesson. He then chides her for threatening him. After Darío leaves, Ramón scoots over to the adjacent wall and kicks at it to get Sofía’s attention. As Sofia hears him, she scoots herself closer to the wall and thanks God that Ramón is still alive. Laying there, Sofía whispers to Ramón asking him to forgive her…all of this is her fault.

In the world of education, there are what is called sponge activities...a term coined by Madeline Hunter who defined them as "learning activities that soak up precious time that would otherwise be lost." Well, I think we now have a sponge episode...a TN episode that soaks up precious air time that would other wise be lost. It is an episode where nothing is gained and nothing is lost...nothing meaningful happened....just like the one we had tonight. If they had sliced this entire episode, would we have realty missed anything important? Nope!! We knew Fran would use the picture to twist the dagger in Fabi's heart more. What a heartless grub worm he is.

More tomorrow...have a great evening!

Of course Sofia will take advantage of the situation!

Thank you RgvChick. Good recap. You got all the sickeningness of these
People.Was that Sofias phone fartass
Used to trick fabi. This is so not
Fair. The playing field needs to be leveled. Where fabi and Ramon are concerned anyway. Jauana just needs
To smarten her dumb self up.Everyone
Or most are deceived in this show.
They need their eyes opened and Preferably beFore thanksgiving would
Good.
Jauana is Such a gigantic hypocrite.
A blind one too. That's the worst kind. Well, things will get better.
After alot of damage is done.

Ok good night yall.

NiNa, no, it wasn't Sofia's phone. Frankofarter bought another chip for his phone to make it look as if it was from Sofia's phone. I'm technologically challenged so if someone can explain how this can be done, please enlighten us...I had never heard of such a thing.

Good night, Patio Buddies, hasta mañana!

Yeah Steve, if she can gnaw through her multiple ropes and somehow spit out the gag in her mouth. She is not in much of a position to take advantage of anything right now. I wonder how long she and Ramoon can hold it before going in their pants.

Thank You so much RGV. Farter bought a new SIM (subscriber information module)card for his phone. It contains your phone number and account specific information, like which network, billing info etc. but the pictures, etc are stored in your phones memory. So then he could send the picture from his phone, but from the new phone number.

RGV for instance, I have T-Mobile, and a few different Android phones. If I am doing something where I think there is a chance of the phone being destroyed, (boating?) I remove my SIM card and put it in my old phone, just in case. As I have left all my contacts, pictures, apps, and everything intact when I got a new phone, it is just like going back in time, same number, etc. but different phone.

By the same token, you can buy a new SIM and put it in your phone and it changes your phone number to the new number and possibly, the new carrier. This scenario is common in most of the world except for the US.

In Europe, for instance, it is common to need to install a new SIM if you go to a different country, as their countries are the size of our states.

That was confusingly clever in a unsurprisingly non clever show.

Speaking of: Sorry about your luck Blow Boat.

thanks, CHickie...I keep forgetting that this show is on at seven now.

So..are they going to change the title to " Everybody Hates Ramon?" A!ways nice when friends and family jump to the worst conclusion about you. Will Ramon and Sofia be drawn together in their captivity?

now, it looks as though both Wolfio and SanfrancisNO are in the running for getting their paws on the moola. Just wait until they both realize that they are in competition.
Emilia and Oz deserve each other...ugh. Has he ever seen her without the mascara buildup. #washyourfaceinceinawhike

OT..Kirby...looking at replacing a cellphone for a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Do you know anything about it? So many confusing choices out there.

Kirby: Sofia will likely open her vagina to violate Ramon & get PREGGERS.

The note 8 is an extraordinary phone, but is really expensive, and waay waay overkill for an everyday phone. It is basically a pocket computer with a stylus and all and designed for the business crowd who lives on their phone, like a real estate agent or someone.

The last Samsung I had was a Note 5, which, as usual, I somehow destroyed, and it finally broke me from spending over five or six hundred dollars for a phone with features I never used.

But that is just me. There are dozens of nice phones out there with impressive High Definition displays for a fraction of the Samsung and Apple prices.

They all make phone calls. They all text. They all take pictures, though some better than others. But if you think you are going to ever take a picture better than one from a throw away camera with a phone, think again.

Doritos Good for Breakfast.

Steve: Yeah, now I want to watch that, with them both being bound and gaged, haven't been to the bathroom in three days and need a shower and toothbrush.

If that happens Ramoon could get a blow up doll pregnant.

RgvChick, this was wonderful.

Thank you for “sponge activities”. I had not heard that time so thank you so much for explaining! I love learning new things so appreciate this.

“As Fabi sinks into Juana’s comforting arms”, “Marg thinks it was nice of him; Fabi should know there is someone who loves her (money)” and “ (so Ramón can be out of his way for the money)” were among many favorites.

I loathed that Sophia is now blaming herself for her and Ramon’s predicament. She turned in her father, turned her back on her life, risked everything for what? Ramon has already told her his heart is Fabiola’s. She is not only alone in the world but a prisioner to two men who don’t share one brain between them.
Kirby, I was hoping Sophia would miraculously turn into wonder woman and free them singlehandedly! But this is too much even for her brains and brawn.

“When Rulo asks how much, Darío admits they didn’t agree on an amount”. What dunces. I do hope they are going to extract an obscene amount of money from Fran though (although how would he get it?). “Francisco (who was so rushed to run to Fabi, he forgot to comb his hair)” was great. That pompadour was a hoot. Not quite sure what look he was going for.

I thought Marg might be falling for Porf. Wrong.

I thought I might care about Benito and Luisa. Until Ada is removed from the situation - not so much.

Dalia may be regretting her actions. Too little too late?

Thank you RgvChick. Another exceptional summary!

Diana

Kirby, what is in the foreground in your shot?

Beautiful blue water.

Diana

I'd bet Francisco Kid doesn't have the money and there will be some sort of Discombobulation, concerning him and his henchboys. IE: He can not pay them or offers some obscenely small amount and they turn on him.

Except for Ramoon and Sophia, I would not mind seeing them all in one of those famous Mexican buses going over a cliff.

Blow Boat laying on it's side. IE: A sailboat which sank in shallow water. As a sailboat has a long keel which extends far below the hull, as it loses buoyancy, it puts it over on it's side in shallow water. That is a problem with sailboats. If you are taking on water and there is no wind you are screwed. In a power boat, you just high tail it to a sandbar and run aground and fix it. Being aground is better than sinking.

Thank you, Rgv Chick.

Relevant evidence for police investigation when Ramon and Sofia get out: how did Sofia being kidnapped and tied up sent a text message to Fabiola? Don't phone companies keep track of not only SIM number but also phone s/n? They can track it to Francisco. But for that we need Margarita and Fabiola to have some common sense and report it. I think it would be too much to ask.

Lucio the phone companies keep track of ALLL that. IE: Every phone call or text message sent in the world is paid for by someone. They usually use the S/N and IMET (International Mobile Equipment Identifier)

IMEI

Thank you for all the information Kirby, boats and IMEI!

I'm learning quite a bit today!

Diana

The bird on the right said:

Heh Heh, Watch THIS !

Thanks everyone! Great start to the day with your insightful comments and adding to my knowledge base.

Kirby, thanks for explaining about the SIM..and that it CAN be traced to the owner. Marg might know about it since she is an attorney, but as Lucio commented..too much to ask for.

Diana, ITA about Sofia blaming herself. Both she and Ramon are thinking it's related to her father, so nether are even remotely considering another possible reason.

Susy, you were asking about Horrortensia...we got her back :-)

Kirby, what great pictures!! That bird does look like it's showing off, doesn't it? You must be amzingly patience to wait for those perfect shots.

Thanks. I thought it looked like it was about to mount the other bird.

Thanks for the info on cellphones, Kirby. right now, I just have acteacphone which serves me fine and is inexpensive.

I am having trouble figuring out where the story is going. The writers seem to be writing the episodes as they go along. Many of the characters drop out of sight for several episodes . Odd. I am most interested in the Auggie,,ROxy...ANt...Marg ..Porf...VEro...geometry of desire..I refuse to call it love. I want to see more parrot advice to the lovelorn.

...a tracphone. Sorry.

Thank you RGV Chick! I missed part of it because I got home late (I hate that they changed the time) but you filled in the part I missed beautifully. Thank you very much.

I am wondering how Francisco thinks he is going to pay off Rulo and Dario? Isn't he up to his eyeballs in debt? Isn't that why he took in roommates because he has so much debt? I am sure Dario and Rulo are expecting a lot more than a few pesos for their efforts. Unless they think that Juana will be handing over money because it will be revealed he is kidnapped. But that doesn't make sense either because Sofia is a factor in this. Hmmmm...maybe since Sofia is a factor then maybe they think her father is holding Ramon for ransom...I dunno.

Thanks RGV!!! I fast forwarded through most of the episode.

I was hoping when Ramon and Sofia were kidnapped together that they would get a chance to talk but that's not happening.

Even Ramon's own mother believes he would up and leave with no note. Poor guy has been nothing but nice to everyone and not a moment of doubt flicks through anyone's head.

I'm shocked Jorge isn't more upset about Julio and Juana. His mother just died. Even if there was little between his mother and father the fact that he proposed to someone else a month later is crazy. Someone he barely knows at that. I would be up in arms.

Widowers often remarry quickly. My cousin and a friend remarried about a year after their wives died. However, we all know why WO!fio is so eager to remarry.

A year is almost doable. 4 episodes is a bit quick. My eps to real life time calculator is acting up and I cant do the conversion.

Thank you so much, RGV! And a big belated thank you to Cynthia. I just caught up because I seriously needed a break. Some of these happenings are so boring at times and then this dark plotline (compared to everything else) rears it's ugly head and I threw my hands up in frustration for a bit.

Not much to say but my favorite part was Juana realizing (finally!) how unjust she was to Fabiola and Ramon because she has also fallen for a man above her station (oh brother, give me a break with this!)

I was happy to get a break from Hortensia and Roxana's love child drama for a bit. I was actually expecting a romantic comedy when I started watching this ala Zacatillo or, at the very least, La Vecina or DQTQTQ but this has been one slow train into some dark territory. Sofia bound to complicate things further and we may have to deal with narcos later too. I already have Estela Carrillo for that (and better written too).

Alfredo.."one slow train into some dark territory." That kind of says it all. We need more parrot. OT..Are you watching OUtlander?

OT: Susanlynn, I have not, unfortunately. I did hear about some steaminess from a couple of coworkers so I know some overall things but not too in depth.
