Mi Marido Tiene Familia # 42,Thursday, October 19, 2017: The First Squall from Hurricane Daphne

At Cat DQ’s house, CatDQ asks a vendor for a discount since she is a good client, When the vendor points out it’s only 10 pesos that she would be saving, CatDQ concedes and complains it smells as camphor, but she does want the lady to remove the label…so it appears homemade.

Juls is at work on the phone with RobPablo and agrees to accompany him for dinner with Daphne. She suggests the restaurant where Daniela works. After she hangs up, CatDQ arrives and shouts out for her. Juls says it’s good to see her, though CatDQ questions if she really is glad since she didn’t want to know anything about her or her brothers. Juls frowns and assures her that she does want to be a part of their lives; she wants the fighting to end. CatDQ doesn’t want to fight either and gives her the cream she “made” and used when she was pregnant. She emphasizes she had to get the ingredients from all over…but it’s good for the skin. Afterwards she invites Juls to go see them; she doesn’t want her to distance herself from the family.

At school, Aris wants to know how he can prepare himself better. When Diana, his teacher, reminds him the participants have to have good academic standing, Aris doesn’t think he should participate, but Diana encourages him. Aris admits he would love to take that medal to his father, so Diana suggests he concentrate on math.

Somewhere outside, Audifaz walks along and leans against a tree. When he sees an ad for work, he takes the card down.

As she walks her mother out, Juls thanks CatDQ for dropping by, but thinks it’s a little suspicious. CatDQ is offended, but Juls points out that she brought the cream right before she is supposed to deposit her monthly check. Juls, however, can’t give her anything; she has to pay for her wedding. CatDQ whines and reminds her that she has been such a success, yet her brothers don’t have money. After CatDQ tells Juls she loves her, Juls reciprocates, but tells her love shouldn’t be paid for.

At Gabriel’s restaurant, Benjamin drinks a cup of coffee while he waits for Dani who is just arriving. He calls out to her; he was waiting for her because he needs to talk to her. Dani wonders what he could have to say to her and thinks it has to do with the wedding. Benjamin hesitates because he doesn’t know what to say, but he has been mulling over everything. When he saw her again, there were feelings he couldn’t imagine he would experience again. Dani is confused and in disbelief, so he explains that it’s like going back in time, but Dani thinks they should leave the past in the past. Benjamin argues that it’s difficult, especially when the past is right in front of him. He knows he will never meet anyone like her. Now that he looks in her eyes, he knows…he loves her. Meanwhile, Gabriel lurks close by then hides behind a pillar to listen. What Benjamin feels for her, he doesn’t feel for America. He acknowledges he is about to marry America, but he doesn’t even feel half of the feelings he has when he is with her (Dani)…his hands even start sweating. Dani is in disbelief, so he asks her the most important question in his life…should he cancel his wedding for her? As Dani turns away from him in distress, Gabi comes and interrupts because Ms. Córsega has many meetings to attend; so he gives Benjamin his ticket. Benjamin hands him some money and just stands there, so Gabriel motions that he should leave and escorts Dani inside.

At her office, Juls uses some cream and doesn’t like the way it smells. Luz comes in and shows her some wedding gown designs. After Juls chooses one that she really likes, but suggests some adjustments, she is in disbelief because she thought marriage or being a mother wouldn’t suit her, but, at this moment, she is realizing it’s the two things that give her the most excitement. She already wants to know if the baby will be a boy or girl. Luz tells her she deserves to be very happy because she a grand lady.

At his interview for a new job, Audi is told that it is difficult to find a job at his age unless he is willing to take a job that involves several tasks. When the man explains the tasks, Audi thinks that if as long as he gets paid, he will be interested in doing well. He quotes Seneca who said. “Work and effort dignify a man...” He does, however, suggest he be given a title, “Manager of Multiple Tasks.”

At the restaurant, RobPablo and Juls arrive and RobPablo notices Dani’s sadness, but she blames it on all the work she has. After Juls tells RobPablo she’ll join him in a bit, Dani guides RobPablo to the table where Daphne Thomas awaits and greets him with a hug. When he explains his tardiness because he picked up Julieta who is the vice president at Cklass, Daphne confides she had just been thinking about how he always said marriage was not for him and wonders what happened. After he states that life just changes, she thinks (hopes) that maybe he could change his mind about getting married. Meanwhile, Juls bumps into Gabriel and tells him they are there to meet with RobPablo’s friend. Gabriel then wonders if it’s the pretty lady who has been waiting for someone. He advises that, if it is, Juls better keep an eye on RobPablo…and she’d better appear confident because men don’t like jealous women. As Juls approaches the table, Daphne gives RobPablo reasons why he should not rush into marriage (trying to already place that wedge in place). When Juls is at his side, RobPablo presents her as his future wife and mother of his child. Daphne is stunned, and doesn’t hide it well, but forcibly congratulates them. She then confesses she was hoping they wouldn’t look good together but they do make a nice looking couple. Daphne immediately mentions that “Bob” was her first love, so Juls gives him an “oh, really?” look and wonders why “Bob” hadn’t told her, but Daphne explains it was a one-sided love; her only wish was to grow up so she could marry him. Juls thinks she is amusing and again questioningly looks at Rob. Rob explains that he has always and continues to see Daphne as a little sister, but Daphne continues to talk about their past. Rob would always tell her she had to grow up and now that she did, he didn’t keep his promise to wait for her. Rob, feeling the heat in his seat, clarifies it wasn’t a promise. Meanwhile, Gabriel, who has been observing all along, tells Dani to also observe because something is happening over there (with Julieta). When Dani explains that the girl is like a sister to her brother, Gabriel tells her no man can have someone who is not related as a sister, especially not a woman like that…she is sexy, sweet…it’s obvious that Juls is jealous. Over at the table, Daphne tell Juls she is very lucky; Rob is a great man. When Juls tells her they will marry in in a matter of weeks, Daphne jeers she still has an opportunity.

On her bed of woes, Linda takes a selfie as she cries. Bruno reads the message, “When they make you feel you are the worst of the worst,” after which Corny calls and asks if he saw that Linda is suffering, but Bruno doesn’t think it’s funny. Corny wonders if Bruno feels bad and reminds him that Linda deserved it. He then warns Bruno not to call Linda; he wants her to feel the same anguish he felt. Bruno feels guilty and only looks at Linda’s picture.

At the restaurant, Daphne assures Rob and Juls that even though she is envious, she wishes them the best. Rob wonders when she will get married, but she doesn’t even have a boyfriend. Juls advises her that in time and with patience, her man will arrive. Just then, Gabriel approaches to see how things are going; so Juls introduces Daphne, Rob’s “little sister,” though Daphne clarifies that Rob was her “platonic love.” Gabriel smirks and sits down with them. He is impressed with the term “platonic love’ and thinks it must be just like his and Julieta’s relationship. RobPablo is now the one who is surprised because Juls had never mentioned that. Gabriel explains further…Juls was very strict in his classes and that generated a controlled love. Rob thinks that was nice and wants Juls to clarify; he asks for some cool water so the conversation can refresh him. Daphne then wonders if they ever kissed…because once, she forced a kiss on Robert.

At Audifaz’s home, Polita wonders if Audi will be more tired with the extra job, but when he tells her his title and how this should solve their money problems, Polita think it is good because they are in the red.

At the restaurant, Gabriel takes advantage of some alone time with RobPablo who insists Daphne was not his girlfriend, but Gabriel warns Rob that Daphne will insist until she convinces everyone that she was his girlfriend; it is obvious that she will use all her good looks to destroy their relationship (listen to him, Rob!). When Gabriel tells Rob that Juls is a great woman and he shouldn’t mess up with her, Rob asks him not to jump to conclusions. Rob then wants a dessert to sweeten the sour situation and asks Dani if she is comfortable working there, After she confirms she is comfortable and leaves, Gabriel continues his wise advice…Rob is dealing with two women, but can only go down one road. Meanwhile, Juls is in restroom thinking that the “sister” is quite intolerable when Daphne comes from behind and tells Juls she knows she has been very blunt. Juls suggests that there are times when things should be taken seriously, but she thinks Daphne is still somewhat childish in some ways. She adds that those who study psychology do so to try to figure out their own problems. When Daphne wonders if Julieta’s statement was a form of “poison,” Juls tells her it was just a joke and leaves.

As she goes back to the table, Juls asks Gabriel what the heck he was doing by saying they had a platonic love, but Gabriel was only trying to help by making Rob jealous…did she not see the woman? She is pretty and intelligent, so he thinks Juls should just be cautious. Juls should never underestimate her enemy, but Juls doesn’t think Daphne is her enemy. Right after, Daphne comes down the stairs behind Julieta and (very purposefully) bumps into Juls.

At home, RobPablo wonders if something is wrong, but Juls replies a curt “no, why?” RobPablo replies that it was just a thought and asks if she is sure, but she is sure…it was a peculiar dinner. Rob agrees…the food was delicious. When Juls brings up that Gabriel behaved well, Rob sarcastically says, “Yes he was very kind…her ex alumni.” Juls notices the sarcasm and wonders if he is reproaching her…because she didn’t reproach him. Rob then wonders if there is anything to reproach because she was the one who hadn’t told her anything about Gabriel, but Juls argues that she has told him all about Gabriel. RobPablo, however, thinks she forgot some important details…but she doesn’t think there is anything important to tell him. When RobPablo concedes that Gabriel wasn’t her favorite student, but can only imagine if he had been her favorite student, Juls broaches that he hadn’t told her he had kissed Daphne, but he insists it was she who kissed him; and it wasn’t that important since she was just an adolescent. When RobPablo wonders if it was upsetting for Juls to meet Daphne, Juls denies it; she just doesn’t understand how it is that his “sister” kissed him. She then wonders if Daphne is there on vacation, but RobPablo LIES and tells her he doesn’t know! He conveniently notices Xavi singing and decides to go talk to him.

In Xavi’s apartment, Xavi shares with RobPablo that he has a meeting with a new manager, but isn’t sure the manager will want to work with him since they prefer emerging artists. RobPablo doesn’t understand that thinking; they are limiting themselves. Xavi is an artist just as he is a doctor for the rest of his life. He thinks one should practice their talent throughout their lives and suggests Xavi have his own business. Mari walks in with a tray of food as RobPablos tells Xavi that faith will help him just as it helped RobPablo find his family.

In the bed of woes, Linda continues crying and looking at her phone. When she calls Bruno and he answers, she wonders why he hasn’t looked for her…doesn’t he care what’s happening to her. She needs his help, but Bruno stands firm and tells her he can’t stand a child who only tries to get attention. He tells her not to call him because he won’t answer, so she cries some more.

In her kitchen, Blanca is making a tea for Linda as Imelda tells her what ingredients to put in. Blanca doesn’t want to add to many things; it may poison her. When the doorbell rings, Blanca goes to answer so Imelda takes initiative and adds what she suggested. At the door, Juls tells Blanca she needs lime blossom tea to calm her nerves; Blanca replies she was just preparing some. After Juls wonders if Rob has been by, Blanca wonders if they had a disagreement, but Juls denies it. Blanca would not stand it if they had a disagreement so close to their wedding, so Juls explains that she wants to give RobPablo his space. Now that Juls is there, Blanca asks for a favor... Linda hasn’t stopped crying since last night and wants Juls to talk to her since Juls is young and no one else can make Linda stop crying. Blanca tells her Linda was dumped and now sees her in a bad state…she is locked in her room. Juls is a woman that sees life in a different way; and Linda needs some good advice. Juls tries to get out of it, but concedes since Blanca insists that they can drink their tea together. Juls thinks she will need 2 liters of tea.

As they drive along, Ana asks Lazaro to raise the volume; she is listening to a romantic song and thinking about Julián.

Xavi sings his song for RobPablo and Mari who clap and think it’s a good song. Mari thinks now people need to listen to it; and they need to prepare for his meeting with his manager. RobPablo thinks that if the manager refuses to see it, then Xavi needs to find someone who will listen; or he could become his own manager. As Mari tells them she thinks she can prepare everything, Blanca comes in and tells RobPablo that Juls is waiting for him…Juls is drinking a tea to calm her nerves.

In Linda’s bedroom, Juls advises Linda to take a bath instead of crying. Linda needs to think of all the good things she has in her life. Linda has no intention of listening to Juls and rudely demands to know why Juls would think she can tell her what to do in her own home, but Juls retorts that Blanca asked her to. Juls advises Linda that it doesn’t matter how marvelous a person is; if they don’t want to be with you; then you need to accept it and move on. When Juls tells Linda she doesn’t know who the guy is, but thinks he is probably very much like Linda, Linda asks her to leave…she doesn’t want her advice or anyone else’s; so Juls very willingly obliges and leaves. On her way out, Juls tells Imelda she has to leave; so Imelda thanks her, but doesn’t know what to do for Linda. Juls advises her that Linda needs to get out the room and take a shower. Imelda gives her cinnamon tea as Juls exits.

Up on the roof, Blanca warns Xavi not to take advantage of her daughter’s situation. She thanks the heavens that RobPablo was there to protect her. Xavi assures Blanca that he has no intention in harming Mari; they are friends. Blanca then gives him a list of reminders: no playing the piano so late at night, not to be late with his rent…and to open a window because it reeks in there.

In their apartment, Juls tells Rob that Linda upset her even more. When RobPablo points out that she just admitted to being upset, Juls tells him she just doesn’t like to be made a fool of. She was very much aware of what was happening; Daphne was his sister, but she was in love him. RobPablo thinks Juls is misinterpreting Daphne’s intentions, but it’s obvious to Juls that Daphne wants him. As the tension and anger rise, RobPablo accuses her of having a jealous fit, but Juls retorts that she saw things clearly. He just needs to say the word and she will get out of his life so Daphne can seduce him because Juls knows that Daphne has no plans of just being his “friend.” After she storms out and locks herself in the bedroom, Rob asks her not to exaggerate, but she insists it’s the reality. RobPablo insists she open the door, but Juls thinks she will only feel worse if she does.

In Linda’s bedroom, Eugenio forces Linda to sip some tea. She makes faces and complains about the tea right before she faints and falls to the floor.

In Bruno’s bedroom, CatDQ wonders why Bruno has been in such a mood ever since he got lost to wherever he went. When he tells her he doesn’t want to talk about it, she insists on asking if it is serious or about a girl, so Bruno takes off his sock and puts it on his door handle. HE then tells CatDQ that when his sock is placed there, he needs some quality time by himself.

In Linda’s bedroom, Blanca, Eugenio and Imelda are hovering over Linda. Mari brings in a glass of water, but wonders how they expect her to drink if Linda is passed out.

At Julieta’s, frustrated with pleading, RobPablo threatens to leave if she doesn’t open the door, but that only angers Juls even more. He counts to 3 and when she doesn’t open the door, he starts to leave; so she immediately opens the door and demands that he not leave. If he takes a step out the door, he will not find her there when he returns. RobPablo turns around and chides Juls for yelling, locking herself in the bedroom, and, now, threatening him. He doesn’t want to fight over stupid things...Daphne was just kidding around, but Juls insists Daphne was not kidding. She questions why he was following along with her little game; he needs to give her her place. RobPablo agrees and adds that he doesn’t like fighting over what Gabriel said either. In a calmer voice, he tells her he is sure of what she feels for him; and she should be sure of what he feels for her. As they look at each other, he offers his “magnet” and she hesitantly agrees. They end their disagreement with a kiss. Just then, Blanca knocks and yells for help…his sister is not well. She fainted and doesn’t react. Blanca doesn’t understand what is going on with Linda; so Juls comforts her.

At the hospital, RobPablo assures everyone that Linda will be fine; she is dehydrated and her blood pressure has gone down, but she will stay overnight for tests. RobPablo hopes this will be a lesson for Linda that will help her change. Blanca thinks it’s not right that Linda get like that for a guy and wonders why Linda doesn’t take their advice. Eugenio, however, doesn’t want her to make a scene there at the hospital.

At the Córsega’s, Juls is with Imelda who is twirling her rosary. Imelda doesn’t understand how the guy could leave Linda when they spent the night together. Juls asks if she knows who the guy is, but Imelda has no clue since Linda never introduces her friends to them. Imelda then warns Juls she needs to be careful with RobPablo…after all, he is a man. Any little thing can pull them in and distance them from their homes…that’s why they need to get married.

In bed, Juls and RobPablo lay awake, tossing and turning; they can’t sleep because of what happened that day. He asks her to forgive him if he gave her reason to be upset with him and thinks the dinner was a bad idea. Juls reassures him and tells him it’s in the past and doesn’t want to think about it anymore. She is sure of what he feels for her; and so does he; he   loves her very much. Juls admits that what irks her most is that after their arguments, she loves him even more. They cuddle.

Next day—

At a wedding dress shop, Juls admits to Luz that she still couldn’t get everything out of her head. Luz doesn’t help…she tells Juls men are just infidels; though Juls doesn’t think RobPablo is like that. She will not allow herself to be jealous; RobPablo needs to feel free to be with her. Luz insists and tells Juls that there are women out there who want to get in where they don’t belong. Juls confides that Daphne is good looking and hopes she is only there on vacation. Luz then tries to change the subject, but warns Juls that she shouldn’t allow that woman to become her ghost…she either needs to ignore her or confront her. Juls directs her attention to the dresses and can’t wait for her wedding day to arrive.

"In the bed of woes,"
(listen to him, Rob!)
Mimarido, you are funny!

My favorite scene tonight was after Juls put the odorous hand lotion on and then there was a closeup of her hands hugging Luz's back. I was waiting for Luz to get comments about the smell for the rest of the day.

Loved the title RgvChick. So clever. Just like you...

The recap was marvelous. "...then wants a dessert to sweeten the sour situation" and "the bed of woes" were excellent.

“When Juls tells her they will marry in in a matter of weeks, Daphne jeers she still has an opportunity”. My, my. To be so young and beautiful. While confidence is usually attractive, brazen boldness is not.

It irked me that silly, self centered, victory at any cost Daphne was the subject of what appears to be Juls and Robert's biggest argument to date.

I wasn't surprised Ben realized what a treasure Dani is, but surprise he declared his love quite quickly after seeing her again. He is rightfully smitten.

I like the two together and I don't want Ben to marry the odious America. But where does that leave Gabi?? For a fleeting moment, I wondered if he and Daphne might get together. He seems to like a challenge and her (likely) scorn and indifference might present a challenge. Gabi has been wonderfully supportive of and protective of Dani. They share a puppy dog romance and attraction, but right now, I'm not convinced it is true love. At least not at this moment.

“Xavi is an artist just as he is a doctor for the rest of his life. He thinks one should practice their talent throughout their lives”. Lest we forget for one moment how much we love Robert.

Why on earth is Bruno still listening to Corny? Idiots. I understood their initial attempts to make Linda “pay” but this has gone way too far. And, “HE then tells CatDQ that when his sock is placed there, he needs some quality time by himself” Oh really? What a spoiled, nasty little boy.

“As they drive along, Ana asks Lazaro to raise the volume; she is listening to a romantic song and thinking about Julián”. What good could possibly come from this unholy alliance? Shiver.

I'm glad Juls is getting excited about the baby and the wedding. So are we.

This was superb RgvChick. Truly. Thank you.

Diana

Great recap! I loved the title. Thanks, RgvChick.

They really went all out in creating an obnoxious female threat for Julieta. "Bob" looked like he wanted to dig a hole and crawl in it. How long will it take until "Bob" understands he cannot be so nice? Gabriel sure had Daphne's number.

Great timing: Roberto deciding to see Xavi just as he is singing: "Soy un aminal en su trampa" (I am an animal in your trap.)

I did like Robert not drinking because he and Julieta were pregnant. That was a nice touch.,

Just a touch self-centered? Linda taking "suffering" selfies and sending them to Bruno. Talk about drama queens . . .

Gabriel was very sweet and protective , although he was snooping, of Daniela when Benjamín came by with his renewed feelings.

Imelda was like a witch and her caipukdron mixing her herbal tea. Imelda also had good advice for Julieta about Roberto being a man.

I also liked Julieta going over to Blanca's looking for some tila tea. It felt very neighborly if not like familial.

Imelda was like a witch and her "cauldron".

Jarifa: How's Julieta's pregnancy going ?

"I did like Robert not drinking because he and Julieta were pregnant. That was a nice touch".

Thanks for sharing that Jarifa, I hadn't noticed. I appreciate your always keen eye for details!

Diana

Thank you for the recap, RgvChick. I love the title! Hurricane Daphne, indeed. And JulPablo are beachfront property.

Why is it that telenovela psychologists are often a bit looney, themselves? LOL

OMG, CatDQ gives her pregnant daughter a skin lotion with camphor in it?!?! I recall super scary warnings about this stuff from a couple decades ago, and that pregnant women should NOT use it. I had Google that to be sure I remembered correctly.

The writers must know that, too, or the word “camphor” would not have been mentioned.
Well, Telenovela Rules might require a miscarriage scare, and maybe the hand lotion will be the vehicle, although I doubt that is the medical concern regarding its use.

Bruno’s “sock on the door” was waaay funny. And CatDQ is so clueless. Good thing I wasn’t sipping tea or I might have spit it out! LOL

When Juli asked Blanca for tea, she said she had no "tila" and I cannot find a translation.

Juli & Rob’s bed looks small, like it’s a 3/4 or double bed.

Good Morning, Patio Peeps!

Thank you, CaliA, Diana, Jarifa, and Doris! It seemed like this was an especially long episode...nothing from the previous episode and no cut scenes!

CaliA, I don't think I've seen you on this patio before, so a big warm welcome to you!

Diana, "It irked me that silly, self centered, victory at any cost Daphne was the subject of what appears to be Juls and Robert's biggest argument to date." Oh my goodness, the girl had no filter whatsoever! She started right away...and what was with her comparing her height to Julieta's?? Was she mocking Julieta just because she was shorter...the difference was not that much. I do have a criticism for Robert, though. He knew from the getgo that Daphne was out of line or he wouldn't have looked so uncomfortable. I thought he defended her waaay too much when he and Julieta were arguing.

Jarifa, "Just a touch self-centered? Linda..." Geez, I think I've said this before but she really should be CatDQ's daughter.

Gabriel impresses me more every time is see him. He has been Dani's galan and protector, but now he is also protecting Julieta. I would really like to know a bit more of his background...he is such a sweet, caring guy...a bit snoopy, but all with good intentions.

Doris, I had done a search for "te de tila" before I recapped and Found a translation of "Linden" tea, but I just did another search and found a different translation tha seems more appropriate, so I'll change that...it's "Lime Blossom"...found it at:

http://www.spanishdict.com/translate/tila

Thanks so much RGV! I always miss this show when it's not on.

Wow that Daphne has her fangs out. The man is about to be married to the woman carrying his child. Give it up!

I want Dani and Gabi together but I also don't want Ben marrying that horrible woman. Maybe, Dani and Ben need to see that they wouldn't have worked out in order to move on. Dani may always wonder "what if" if she doesn't get him out of her system.

This is at least day 3 of Linda in bed crying and moping. And who takes selfies of their pain and send it to the one that caused it?! Still self centered.

Rob and Juli's fight was the worse I've seen. Juli was like a different person in those scenes. Daphne really got under her skin. Not good for moving forward.

Glad Audi got a job but what will he be doing? Wasn't that Xavi's ex-manager that hired him?

RgvChick - I was thinking the same thing, that Linda could easily be CatDQ's daughter!!! Perhaps she and Bruno were mixed up in the hospital at birth.

Thanks for the tea translation. I was only looking for "tila" and nothing else, so that is probably why I kept hitting a wall.

RgvChick, I am right there with you about Robert's reaction to Daphne. I found Robert annoying trying to play nice while Julieta was clearly getting upset. Robert needs to accept that is the way Julieta FEELS no questions asked and get rid of his childhood "pal". That is why I thought Imelda's comment about men was so timely, good and true. For me, it put everything into perspective.

It was also nice seeing Julieta starting to treat Blanca and Imelda as friends if not as family yet.

Doris, that was a very interesting comment about camphor.

Great recap, Rgv Chick! I think that maybe Juls should start following Gabi's advice--and so should Rob. Yep, Jarifa, Rob is way too innocent about Daphne's "sense of humor." Love "trying to place that wedge" Rgv! Good for Audifaz, trying to get some more income for his family--no matter how hard the working conditions. At best it sounds like gig or temp work. Bruno is still being disgusting. I wonder when Linda will find out he's Juls brother? --which might actually make her feel better about losing him. :) I assume Corny paid him to behave as he did? I also wonder how Bruno will react if he learns that Linda is in the hospital. I can see Marisol sellin Xavi's new music along with Kclass catalogue items and being his manager.

Thanks for the welcome Rgv Chick! I'm laughing at myself thinking your name was mimarido, that was highlighted as key word at bottom of recap. I guess the Spanish isn't sinking in too well yet! I thought it was Mima Rido. Duh

You're welcome and thank you, Carvivlie and SpanProf. Carvivlie, I agree about Ben, he deserves so much better than the witch, America. You're so right about Dani and Ben coming to terms with the fact that they might not be right for each other. Once the road is clear, Dani can follow her path to Gabi.

SpanProf, I'm so glad to see Mari looking happy and motivated. I wonder if she will get special recognition for outstanding sales at Julieta's next presentation...that would be awesome.

CaliA, easy mistake to make on the name :-) hope to see you here often.

How expensive is CKlass stuff? As far as we know Mari has no friends so is she going to go door to door? Since Amalia and Belen sell it in an actual store I guess it is not too high end. I just wonder how Mari is going to find clients, especially if she doesn't wear the stuff herself.

Excellent questions Carvivlie...

And while Marisol seems to sport a new shrug daily, yes, she will definitely need to wear what she tries to sell.

I thought door to door sales went out years before malls fell out of fashion. I remember a few Fulller Brush salesmen going door to door many years ago, but nothing since...

RgvChick, I would love to see Marisol get recognition too! And being purely childish, I'd love her to show up her useless ex Icky and his lowlife lady.

Diana

Totally agree Diana!!!! I would love to see Marisol stick it to Icky and Begie!!!

Diana, showing up Icky and Begone would be so satisfying, not only to us but to Marisol too! And even better would be if Begone would tell Icky to be gone :-D

Marisol could get creative and do CKlass parties kinda like tupperware or Mary Kay...maybe??

And Marisol does have a good-sized family who presumably have acquaintances who would be interested in Cklass clothing.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. That's a prize winning title! -- and I haven't even gotten to the rest of your recap. Looking forward to catching up tonight before the new episode airs.

Thanks RgvChick. It's always a pleasure to read these recaps!
CaliA, welcome, if you're new! Always nice to see everyone's comments.

Wow. Daphne is really determined to get Robert isn't she? I felt like Julieta at one point. She's crazy and invasive! I can't believe Robert can't see this woman is trying to yank him away from Julieta. But I also think he's too in love with Julieta to probably see what's going on. He believes Daphne is just Daphne "his sister." I don't think it's clicked to him that she's clearly flirting! I mean I hope it doesn't cause more of a rocky mess. I would like my "Oppas" to be a happy couple ready to get married and have a child. Thank you Daphne for your funny scenes but goodbye.

Diana: I'm not surprised either. Dani is awesome. Who wouldn't like her! And you're right he shouldn't marry America. I thought she was Dani's friend. Hmph, some friend she was. Btw I too thought Gabriel was going to go after Daphne especially after his comments about her, but interestingly enough he chose to protect Julieta instead. And he still could have asked for Daphnes number. He could have tried if he wanted to but I don't think he wanted to. He clearly has someone else in mind.

I love this protective side of Gabriel. ( I would love to know more about his background too RGVChick.) Sure he's a bit strange sometimes and is a little in his head but he's different. He's got a good heart and he thinks of others. He shows he wants to be there for the people he cares about. It's why I believe Dani and Gabriel are perfect for each other. All her life Dani has built this wall around her because she blames herself for the "loss" of her brother. She has a wall to protect herself from her /own family/ who grieves the day she was born. Gabriel has the caring protective side that Dani has been missing her whole life. Meanwhile Dani is showing Gabriel integrity. That he shouldn't be focused on what his father isn't giving him but actually work with what he has and essentially making him a better hardworking man. I know I focus too much on the two but I just love them.

I do believe Ben and Dani will become a thing to close that chapter in both their lives. Neither ever got closure. Plus it would lead to Ben finding someone better than America and Dani + Gabe

Doris: woah I did not know that about the lotion. I'm kind of scared now since they focused on it a lot. Is this like foreshadowing. Or were they really just going for the lotion stinks joke?

I kind of laughed when Linda fainted. Is that bad? I mean of course we know she'll be okay.

The Ana thinking about Julian...UMM...no thanks!!! Nope. No thank you.

I think Marisol would be an excellent manager for Xavi. She is his biggest fan after all. It would make sense.

Can't wait for tonight.

Thanks, Niecie and Jackie.

Jackie, your insight on Gabriel and Dani was a joy to read and you seem to have them pegged perfectly...thank you!

Jackie, I totally agree with Rgv Chick on your astute comments.

"Gabriel has the caring protective side that Dani has been missing her whole life" was right on the mark. My wish is to see a beaming Dani, who has shed her past, let go of her guilt and be madly, happily in love.

I seem to have lost my manners today. Welcome to the patio CaliA! This is a fantastic show and the recappers and commenters equally as fabulous.

Aw thank you RgvChick and Diana.

"My wish is to see a beaming Dani, who has shed her past, let go of her guilt and be madly, happily in love."
