Mi Marido Tiene Familia #60, 11/14/2017: Hidden Messages and a Stolen Kiss Wreak Havoc
Ana tells Juls everything
has an explanation. When Juls wonders what explanation she has for what
happened to the Córsegas, Blanca comes in and wonders what they are referring
to. Ana quickly fabricates that Juls was explaining how everyone is so
vulnerable since she left. Ana adds that she has not being paying as much attention
to the family as she should. Juls goes along with it and tells Blanca
everything is fine. Blanca still thinks they were fighting; so Ana tells her she
invited Juls over to talk since Juls and she have gone through the same thing.
Blanca hesitantly accepts Ana’s explanation and tells her she came over because
they were worried since she hasn’t been answering her phone. Ana tells her she
had suffered from some headaches; she will call Imelda later. Ana then offers
coffee, but Juls declines and Blanca would prefer to let her rest; so they
leave. Juls offers to take Blanca home and she accepts...it will give them a
chance to talk. After they leave, Ana sits down and calls Juls stupid.
Gabriel arrives at his
home and hesitates before he enters and sits down. His father sneaks up behind
him and surprises him. As they hug, Dad says finally he gets to see him as they
hug; and it seems like Gabriel doesn’t have the best father in the world since
he hadn’t come to see him (now we know where Gabriel gets his egotism). When
Mr. Musi points out that his sisters have been waiting in the garden for hours,
Gabriel emphasizes it has only been seven minutes. Mr. Musi then criticizes Gabriel’s
wrinkled jacket and wonders if he doesn’t have a servant. When Mr.
Musi asks if Gabriel promoted the restaurant during the festival, Gabriel assures
him he did, but Mr. Musi wonders if he didn’t spend most of his time with a
girl. Gabriel smirks and indicates he did which seems to make Mr. Musi proud
because “it’s the Musi way…the Musis have always been great conquistadores.” He
then asks if Gabriel has a girlfriend and wonders who her family…is she blond?
red head? a model? Gabriel can only tell him that she is she is “special.”
As they exit Ana’s house,
Juls refers to Blanca as “mama suegra” which pleases Blanca; and she wonders if
that is an indication that things will soon be resolved between with RobPablo.
Juls assures her she loves Rob and will do anything to protect him. Blanca is
curious as to why Juls has to protect RobPablo and wonders if Ana told her
anything to try to get her to distance her from the family. Juls denies it and
quickly changes the subject; she suggests it would be a great opportunity to
practice (as she jingles the keys). Blanca doesn’t want to, but Juls promises
that they will not fight. Later as she drives, Blanca complains about a noise
she heard and wonders if she ran over a cat. Juls reminds her to keep looking
forward. They come to a stop light; and when Juls tells her to stop, Blanca
slams on the brakes. When Blanca thanks her for pushing her to change, Juls
comments that women don’t always have to do what they are ordered to do; Blanca
is a woman and she should defend her wishes. There’s a line of cars honking
behind them as Blanca continues forward slowly. Blanca is very content because she
now thinks she can do this.
At Ana’s house, Ana tells Tulio that Juls was there to admonish her. She doesn’t know how Juls found out. Tulio wonders if Juls will talk, but Ana doesn’t think so though she doesn’t understand Juls’s attitude…she was so sure of herself. She hopes Juls will leave Juan Pablo forever and stay away from the family. Tulio warns her not to start with her desperate behaviors and wonders why Ana hates Juls, so Ana explains that Juls is in the same situation as she was and she wants Juls to be as unhappy as she is.
On the Córsega roof, Xavi
talks to Rufo as Mari brings him some bread; she didn’t know he was busy, but
Xavi quickly returns with “I didn’t know you were so good looking.” Xavi then tells
Rufo that Mari has been an angel in his life. Rufo tells Mari that if it hadn’t
been for her, Xavi would have already died. Mari reproaches Rufo for being mean
to Xavi. When Rufo admits that he did overdo it, Mari shares she has an idea,
but doesn’t know if she should say anything. When they insist she tell them, she
announces that she has decided to be Xavi’s manager, but will need a lot of
help and much training. She is going to rescue his career. After she tells Xavi
that he needs to let her know what he decides, she quickly leaves.
As Mari goes downstairs, Rufo
comes after her and asks if she is serious about being Xavi’s manager. He
thinks it’s a great idea. He was a manager for a few years and can help her,
but she wonders if he is only going to show her how to be mean to people. He
admits he was somewhat harsh, but she needs to understand that artists can be quite
difficult; she will need to be strict and firm. She can’t continue acting like
a fan. He knows she can wear those pants; he can teach her.
Robert is at his
apartment walking around and looking lonely and sad. He looks out the window
and sees Eugenio who looks up and smiles at him. RobPablo doesn’t want to hurt
them more.
Eugenio sees Blanca
driving as she comes to a stop at the building. Juls points out that she can do
it. Blanca feels so stupid; she thought she wouldn’t be able to make it all the
way back. Juls tells her not to lose confidence in herself. Blanca then tells
Juls that she knows she left because of them…so in the name of Imelda, Linda,
and herself, she asks for forgiveness and wants Juls to come back (Linda would
certainly not agree!). When Juls tells her to give her one more night to gather
her thoughts, Blanca comments that true love knocks only once in a lifetime; she
shouldn’t let go of it. Juls has been thinking about all Blanca went through
when she lost Rob. Blanca tells her it’s the worst thing that could have happened
to her. She blamed herself for many years. Juls tells her she is not to blame;
she is a great woman. Blanca is very happy to her say that, but knows she has
been difficult. She then tells Juls that RobPablo is in his apartment and wonders
if she wants to see him, but Juls would rather not bother him. Before she
leaves, Juls tells Blanca she loves her…she quickly adds that she doesn’t want
Blanca to say anything so as not to ruin the moment, but Blanca tells her she
loves her too…she has learned to love her. Eugenio watches them through the
window.
At
night—
Xavi goes to visit Rob to
see how he’s doing. Rob says he’s getting along but thinks the apartment is too
big without Juls. Xavi invites him out for drinks. Rob doesn’t really want to
go, but agrees anyway...just for a while. While he gets his coat, Ana calls RobPablo.
After he reminds her he asked her not to be looking for him, she asks him if he
told anyone the truth. He wonders why she asks. She is just afraid of everyone
finding out and wonders when he will make a decision. RobPablo responds he will
make a decision when he is calm and hangs up. Ana then wonders how Juls found
out if Rob didn’t tell her. She wonders who else knows. They are going to ruin her.
At the restaurant, Dani
goes to see Gabriel. Gabriel wonders why she ran from the festival. He doesn’t
blame her…he just ran away from his father’s house. His father and sisters made
his head hurt. He wonders what Dani is doing there, so she explains that she
finished her shift and wanted to give him something…but she doesn’t want him
saying or doing anything until after she leaves. She gives him what she made
him and he wonders if he can at least show how happy he is with the present.
She refuses, so he agrees…he won’t do anything. She then makes him turn around and
count so she can leave. As she starts to go out the door, he goes and shuts the
door and asks why she runs away. He gets serious and tells her he can’t really
remember their last kiss…maybe because of the mescal; so he asks that she give
him something to remember her by …he asks her to give him a kiss. After she
hesitantly gives him a quick kiss, Gabriel thanks her for the gift…no one had
given him a gift such as that. It might be a bomb that will explode, but he
will explode being happy. After she leaves, he opens the top of the house (box)
and pulls out a white bear with a gold crown. He smiles, “It’s a bear…like her.”
He starts to talk to the bear asking it its name. AS he plays with it and
pushes down the arm, it says “I love you.” He gets a big smile and wonders if
he should say it back. He pushes the arm down again and it repeats the same “I
love you.” Dani runs out of the restaurant while Gabriel pushes the arm and mumbles
“Of course I love Dani Córsega too!” Gabriel runs out into the restaurant
yelling for Dani and wondering if anyone saw the mother of the bear.
At Belén’s, Amalia chides
Belén for feeling and blames Aurelio. Blanca tells Amalia to try to be understanding
of Belén, but Amalia continues that she warned Belén about seeing Aurelio again.
When Belén asks Amalia to be quiet, Blanca asks what Aurelio told her, so Belén
confides that Aurelio wants her to give themselves another chance. Upon hearing
that, Amalia goes berserk and chides Belén for wanting to leave her alone after
all the years she has taken care of her.
At a bar, Xavi and RobPablo
are having drinks. Xavi asks him if he would mind if his sister would be his manager,
but RobPablo thinks it would be a great opportunity for Mari to grow…he likes
successful women…just like Juls. Xavi wonders if RobPablo is ever going to get
Juls out of his head. Just then, Daphne arrives with Tavo and is surprised to
see RobPablo there since he had said he didn’t feel like going out. After RobPablo
introduces her to Xavi, Daphne suggests they sit together; and Xavi urges Rob
to accept.
At the Córsega’s. Linda
asks Mari for their mother. Mari tells her Blanca isn’t there and wonders what
is going on since Linda looks sad. Linda shares that she encountered Bruno; and
she is going crazy wanting to tell him she loves him. She then tells Mari that
Bruno is the brother of the intolerable Juls. It seems Juls will be her sister
in law regardless, but since she saw him again, Linda is sure she is in love
with Bruno. When Mari asks her if she has told him, Linda says “no” so Mari
suggests that maybe if she tells him, he will change his mind. Linda quickly
sends Bruno a message. Meanwhile Bruno is in his room working on his robots when
he gets the message from Linda. She is going out and will send him the address.
She will wait for him at the location until he arrives.
At Cat’s house, Cat insists
that Juls tell her about the meeting with her father. Juls tells Cat that her
father told her about what happened between them…her attitude with his family
and that he never meant to abandon them…Cat didn’t allow him to see them. Cat
denies everything and wants to call him, but Juls refuses to give her the
number; there is no use in fighting. Juls shares that talking to him made her
realize something important: if she is leaving RobPablo just because of problems
with the in-laws…if she is giving up on what she loves most for not trying to
get along with is family. Cat thinks Juls is more like her father every day.
At the bakery, Dani asks
Eugenio if he is still having financial problems. When he admits he is because
people just aren’t buying bread, Dani offers to help with her salary, but he
refuses to accept her money since it is barely enough for herself. He thinks he
needs to invent some type of bread to promote sales. He then offers her
chocolate and bread and goes for it. Meanwhile, Gabriel arrives and Dani starts
to run away, but Gabriel yells out “bear!” as Eugenio comes back and hears him.
Eugenio demands to know why he refers to Dani as “bear,” so Gabriel explains
that he is her boss…and has nicknames for all his employees. Dani’s nickname is
“bear…kind bear.” Still upset, Eugenio wonders what Gabriel’s nickname is, so Dani
chimes in that it is “Dummy.” Gabriel goes with it but explains that they call
him that as a reversed name…because he is actually very smart.
At the karaoke bar, the
group sits together. Tavo sees RobPablo with his phone as he is trying to call
Juls as he does every night, but Daphne tells him he can call her later…he should
be having fun. They play a shock game that requires the players to hold hands.
As they release their hands, Daphne grabs a tissue to cover RobPablo’s phone
and presses it to call Juls. Meanwhile Juls is in bed, and the phone rings. She
hears Daphne yelling out, “No, no, this is wonderful! I never thought I would
like it so much!” She can also hear RobPablo as he moans and says he likes it. (To
anyone who is just listening, this could sound be a couple having mucho fun and
that is exactly what Juls imagines.) Cat comes in wondering why she is yelling, so
Juls tells her RobPablo is with another woman. When she finally gets fed up and
hangs up, Juls tells Cat he is with Daphne…who is nothing like a sister. Cat doesn’t
help things when she tells Juls that any woman would want to have RobPablo, but
Juls insists he isn’t that way…she just can’t believe it.
At the bakery, Gabriel wants
to formally introduce himself to Eugenio, but Eugenio wants to know why he
arrived there and called her “oso;” it’s a lack of respect. Gabriel replies it
was never his intention to be disrespectful. When Eugenio points out that this
is the second time he comes to his house to create chaos, Gabriel comments that
the first time was Benjamon fault; and it is Benjamon that Eugenio should protect
Dani from. When Dani interjects that there is nothing between them…he is only
her boss, Gabriel questions that she said he is ONLY her boss. Dani then tells
Eugenio she will take care of the situation and pulls Gabriel outside. Dani
chides Gabriel and wonders if he is crazy. Her father knows nothing about
anything; she has never had a boyfriend. Dani reminds him that there is nothing
serious between them. She admits that he did ask her if she could be his girlfriend;
and they kissed, but she still needs to talk to Benjamin and tell him what she
is feeling. Gabriel wants to know right then and there what she feels, but she
tells him they will talk tomorrow. He persists and wants to know if the message
she sent with the bear is true. Just then, Juls arrives. When they see she is
upset, she tells them that things are not well. Juls enters her apartment
calling out for RobPablo. Is glad he isn’t there with Daphne.
RobPablo thanks Daphne
who thinks their meeting was destiny. She points out that since she has
arrived, he has ignored her. He has always thought of her as a little sister,
but she is now mature. RobPablo tells her she has her life and he has his. She reminds
him that she has always loved him and kisses him, but he says “No” and pushes
her away.
Dani insists that they
will talk tomorrow, Gab tells her if she doesn’t want to accept what she feels
there is something they can do. He goes to his car and gets the bear. He loves
it; and it’s ridiculous that she sends him a message with the bear and then
pretends there is nothing between them. When she tells him she doesn’t know
what he is talking about, he squeezes the bear so she can hear “I love you” and
tells her that all she needs to do now is accept it.
At the club, RobPablo
chides Daphne and tells her she has always had the wrong idea. He has always seen
her as a sister. He doesn’t want her to ever do it (kiss) again. When she
argues that he is single now, RobPablo assures her that his relationship with Juls
continues; he loves Juls; Juls is the one he will love for the rest of his
life. Daphne then wonders if he doesn’t realize that it’s over between Juls and
him, but RobPablo assures her they will overcome this crisis. She reminds him the
problems with his family will never cease; and questions if he is going to give
up the family he searched for so many years. Their relationship is sure to
fail. RobPablo tells her that what she did was disrespectful to Juls and to
him. If she can’t accept that they are just friends, then they should never
talk again. Daphne smirks as she concedes; she understands and hopes he will be
happy.
At the apartment, Juls is
counting and trying to calm herself as she waits for RobPablo.
Outside, Dani tells Gabriel
everything has an explanation. Eugenio interrupts and wants to know what
explanation, but leaves after Dani give him a look. Gabriel reminds her that
it’s not right to tell someone that she loves him, then pretend it’s not true.
When he makes the bear speak again and asks why she chose him that bear, Dani silently
remembers Juls telling her it was the perfect gift, but tells Gabriel that she didn’t
know it said anything, she bought it because it was pretty. Gabriel, however, thinks
she can’t say it to his face and sent it in a message. When Dani tells him it
was a mistake, he believes that nothing that has happened between them is a
mistake. He can’t hide it anymore; so he gets her hand and tells her to push
down on his hand. As she does it, he tells her “I love you” mimicking the bear’s
voice. Dani blushes and smiles as Gabriel assures her he is serious…he loves
her.
Blanca reminds Eugenio
that he has always said she was a busybody and now he is doing the same by
spying through the window. She thinks Gabriel is charming. She will make him
some chocolate so he can know he is welcome in this house. Eugenio says Gabriel
is not welcome and tells Blanca his nickname for Dani. She thinks it’s cute. He
should let his daughter choose whoever she likes. Eugenio sees Gabriel and Dani
kissing and will not stand for that. Blanca looks and is happy, but Eugenio is
going out to throw cold water on Gabriel...and cut off his hair. Blanca tells
him not to do that; love should be celebrated. She tells him to relax; their daughter
is finding love. Eugenio thinks that man is very different from them.
Outside, Gabriel wants
everyone to know he loves her so he yells it out. When he sees Dani won’t budge,
he concedes and tells her if she doesn’t want to accept what this man is saying
to her, he will leave. She goes after him but then sees her parents watching,
so she pushes him to leave.
Once inside, Dani tells
her parents it’s not right that they were spying on her. When Blanca can’t
believe Dani is in love and confides that she was afraid Dani would live her
life alone, Dani thinks she’s getting ahead of herself. Gabriel and she are not
going around or anything yet, but Blanca saw how they loved each other ever
since she first them together. Eugenio warns that if that man dares to hurt her,
he will meet Eugenio’s knuckles…and the scissors.
Mari reminds Linda that
Bruno didn’t respond, but Linda insists on going out. She tells Mari to leave
her alone and concentrate on Xavi. She can go on the internet to search for
ideas on being a manager. Mari thinks it’s a good idea.
Tavo wonders if something
happened at the karaoke since he is acting strange. Robe tell him everything is
fine. Rob enters his apartment and yells when he sees Juls. She scared the heck
out of him, but Juls thinks it’s his conscience and wonders if someone is with
him. When RobPablo explains he went out with Xavi to relieve some stress, Juls yells
that’s exactly what he did…relieve his stress. She found out everything that
happened; he was with Daphne. RobPablo admits Daphne was there, but he didn’t
invite her. When Juls wants to know what he did with her, RobPablo admits he
was very clear with Daphne after she kissed him... but he pushed her away right
away. Juls tells him that for just a minute, she thought it was all a lie, but he is now
admitting he was with her. After RobPablo tells her that, yes, he was with Daphne,
but it is Juls that he loves, Juls retorts that, sure, she is the one he loves,
but Daphne is the one he relieves his stress with. RobPablo assures her he
didn’t do anything wrong. He understands she is upset about the kiss, but nothing more happened; and he didn’t ask for it. Juls tells him it
makes her sick just to remember what she heard...she knows she is the one that asked that they keep a part for a while, but not so he could go do this. RobPablo still doesn’t
understand what she is talking about and assures her he didn't cheat on her. She starts to leave, so he blocks the
door and won’t let her leave until she explains what she is talking about
because he really doesn’t understand anything she is saying.

I just loved that Gabriel had put a seat belt on the bear! I didn't much like Gabriel at first, but since he met Dani he has grown on me. He is doing a fine job of playing a vain, clumsy idiot, and still making him likable.

There was just too much that I liked:
The lingering nasty “look” Julieta gave Ana when leaving her place.
Julieta’s promise to Blanca to protect Robert.
Gabriel having Daniela press his paw so he could tell her he loves her.
The driving lessons continuing and further bonding of Blanca and Julieta.
Eugenio threatening to take his fists and “scissors” to Gabriel.
I just hope the “malentendido” (misunderstanding) is solved ASAP tonight.

Yay for more Julieta and Blanca scenes. They were so cute. This is starting to be a wonderful relationship and Julieta is helping Blanca grow. I did not expect to love this storyline as much as I do.
Marisol decided to be manager. Yes! I fully support her with this. She’s the best for the job and we know she cares so she won’t give up easily on Xavi.

Watching Eugenio getting all protective was so funny. I love the interactions between the three of them and then later when Blanca was trying to keep Eugenio from cutting Gabriel’s hair! Looks like Gabriel got on the wrong foot with him yet again.

Even though they met by accident near the garbage, where Dani attacked him with a garbage bag, he believes it isn’t a mistake. That’s beautiful. Also when he yelled he loves her out loud. He’s really putting himself out there. She didn’t really acknowledge that she liked Gabriel though....she kind of shot him down but Gabriel doesn’t look like he’s going to give up anytime soon. Good. I love the bear. It’s adorable.
Of course Daphne kissed Robert. Ugh. It was only a matter of time. That girl can’t take a hint. Robert doesn’t want you! Julieta think y they did more than kiss was so weird but I too hope it’s cleared up.

There was quite a bit of happiness last night, wasn't there? (And of course with your sensational recap this morning).
"Gabriel runs out into the restaurant yelling for Dani and wondering if anyone saw the mother of the bear". Loved it.
As Gabi, Jose is rather stealing the show. His comedic timing is impeccable and his chemistry with Dani is spot on. Seeing he had the bear in the seatbelt made me want to reach through the screen and hug him. He was truly touched by the gift. A man in love.
I wish Dani would gain some more self assurance, and quickly. She is experiencing a gamut of emotions but I hope she gives in to what she is truly feeling. That special spark, ignited by the perfect person.

Did something happen to turn Rufo from the detestable swindler who used and abused Audi into someone who really has Xavi's best interests at heart?? Pay attention to your misgivings Mari. Your instinct is serving you well.
Daphne is truly detestable. But I have to hand it to her. She is relentless and that steely smile and spine stiffening resolve to "get" Robert never waiver. As she is Julieta's Achilles heel, her poison arrow hit the mark. I think that when Juli calms down, she will realize that while Daph cannot be trusted, Robert can. I am also hoping this is cleared up right away Jarifa.
"Julieta is helping Blanca grow. I did not expect to love this storyline as much as I do". Jackie, I could not agree more! God bless Juli for allowing Blanca to take the wheel once again! I did sense she is getting a bit better but I strongly advise any and all pedestrians to steer clear.

Daphne is truly detestable. But I have to hand it to her. She is relentless and that steely smile and spine stiffening resolve to "get" Robert never waiver. As she is Julieta's Achilles heel, her poison arrow hit the mark. I think that when Juli calms down, she will realize that while Daph cannot be trusted, Robert can. I am also hoping this is cleared up right away Jarifa.
"Julieta is helping Blanca grow. I did not expect to love this storyline as much as I do". Jackie, I could not agree more! God bless Juli for allowing Blanca to take the wheel once again! I did sense she is getting a bit better but I strongly advise any and all pedestrians to steer clear.

I just loved that Gabriel had put a seat belt on the bear! I didn't much like Gabriel at first, but since he met Dani he has grown on me. He is doing a fine job of playing a vain, clumsy idiot, and still making him likable.

Excellent recap, Rgv Chick! I thought Julieta's misunderstanding of what she hear through Robert's phone was kind of silly, even though it was orchestrated by Daphne. I too hope this gets cleared up quickly! It was very creepy of Daphne to set this up. In this episode we learn not only where Gabriel got his egotism but some of his sillier mannerisms. Ana is really disgusting in her attitude toward Julieta. She's miserable so everyone else should be too.

Jarifa, Ditto on everything you liked...those were some great moments! Gabriel was ever so cute and lovable, just like the bear. I also liked when Gabi was so close to Dani asking her to give him something of herself to remember her by..OMGosh how could she resist those eyes and lips!
Diana, "I wish Dani would gain some more self assurance, and quickly. " Thanks to Gabriel, I really think she is gaining that self-assurance; and I think the pacing is appropriate given that she has endured so many years thinking that she wasn't wanted or loved by anyone...not even her parents.
Jackie, "She didn’t really acknowledge that she liked Gabriel though....she kind of shot him down" so true! but I'm sure Gabriel knows exactly how she feels. Can you imagine how hard it was for her to give him that one quick kiss? a BIG step for Dani...YAY! What's holding her back is sheer fear of doing the wrong thing as a "girlfriend."

I too hope the "malentendido" gets resolved quickly. If Julieta still doesn't believe him, I hope Robert drags her up to talk to Xavi or Xavi comes by for some reason...he could very well corroborate what actually happened. The one thing I questioned, though, was why Julieta only heard Daphne and and Robert...surely the rest of the group should have made some noise.

SpanProf, our comments crossed. ITA What Julieta heard was quite silly. Ana is really sick; now she is targeting Julieta just because she had a similar experience as she did...you'd think she'd be the exact opposite...understanding, supportive...But I think she hates the fact that Julieta is so much stronger than she is...more than anything.

This episode was awesome with Dani and Gabi!!. Dani needs to grab that face of his and kiss him. I'm hoping that once she tells Benji the truth she will give herself over to him. Gabi has totally left himself wide open---and now is very vulnerable---Dani needs to assure him.
Ana is mentally unbalanced. When she is super stressed she goes to dark places--like Tulio warned her about. Now we can see why she took JP to the orphanage. It is like she has a psychotic break. Which is why suddenly she totally hates Juli and wants her to suffer. The woman needs to be in a facility getting help or on drugs before she hurts herself or someone else again.
I watched the phone thing twice and I don't think Dafne set that up. The phone fell but she didn't do anything for it to ring Juli. Dafne is awful but I just don't think she set that up.
Loved Eugenio flexing his muscles, warming up, to take on Gabi. Too too funny.

Tulio definitely is more to blame. He says it was to protect his wife but I think it was more to punish his mother for "turning her back on them" (he said that to Rob). He is a smart guy. He could have found a way to reunite JP and his family without Ana being discovered. Or let Ana be discovered but put her in the mental institution and blame her 3rd miscarriage. The family would have understood that she snapped and would have forgiven her--if she got treatment, got well and apologized.
