Enamorandome de Ramon #65, 11/14/17: Chemistry is chemistry and neither distance nor trickery will get in the way of destiny
Repeated Scene:
Sophia and Ramon continue to discuss the auto shop. Ramon has made up
his mind and they will set up shop at the location that Sophia already paid
for. He will just have to deal with seeing Fabi.
Juana having a consultation with Dr. Parrot about how her romance with
Julio is not meant to be and she’ll have to accept being on her own especially
since the girls are leaving.
New Scenes:
Juana calls Fabi to let her know about having cashed out the shares to
give her the money, Fabi tells Juana about how Ramon is opening up a shop right
across the street. Juana will have a talk with him because she does not agree
with that decision. Fabi thanks Juana for the money and taking her side on this
issue.
Juana calls Ramon wants to know where he is because she has to talk to
him. He is at Luisa’s she will come over so wait for her. (Run Ramon run)
Benny gets home for lunch, his mother is conveniently not there but
Chesty la Rue is and she offers him lunch. “It’s chicken in green salsa, do you
want a thigh or the breast?” (wink, wink) she shakes her assets and poor Benny has no choice
but to pick the breast…
Juana arrives at Luisa’s and chides Ramon for of all places he could
open up a shop, why does he have to do it right across the street from Fabiola's shop. Well he had
no idea he explains and once he realized it was too late, Sophia had already
made the contract. And since Fabi acted the way she did, he is going to stay
there just to show her. Juana tells him he is doing the wrong thing, but will
have to support him.
Fabi is having dinner with Frank, and she does nothing but complain
about Ramon and Sophia and the shop being across the street, Frank has a sound
suggestion “why don’t you stop working there” well Fabi won’t hear it, this is
the business her parents left for her and she will stay, plus now she has to
help her uncle to beat the competition.
Ramon is making food for Valente, Luisa and Dalia and he tells them
that he is opening up a mechanic shop and by the way it’s right across the
street from Medfer. Valente tells him it’s not a good Idea and so does Dalia. He
tells them that it’s going to be whatever it’s going to be so just let it be. He
also offers Valente a job and Valente accepts but he has to give notice to his
boss.
Julio goes to Juana’s to apologize for pretending she was an investor
and being ashamed of Juana, Juana does not think they belong together. Julio
tries to convince her and tells her that he loves her and as this happens
Hortensia the terrible happens to be walking by and she hears the tail end of
the conversation. Julio stands up to her and tells her he loves Juana and that Hortensia
has no right getting her nose in his business. He is going to marry Juana
anyway. At this news Hortensia feels sick and leaves not before insulting Juana
and telling Julio that she will never accept this. She calls Juana a simple
maid and leaves.
Julio then turns his attention to Juana and asks “so are you going to
marry me?” Juana does not know what to say because she is still mad at him for
being ashamed of who she is and besides there are so many differences and
hurdles between them. He tells her he want an answer and then pulls her towards
him and kisses her. He leaves and Juana gets a small smile on her face.
Sophia and Ramon continue talking about the shop, and Ramon asks if she
has thought of what to name shop. She says she wants to call it “mechanic shop
Moncho” (Moncho is short for Ramon). He does not agree with that name, tells
her to think of something else.
At Maggie’s Antonio and Maggie are discussing the agreement she has
drafted for him. He needs to take it to Roxy and have her sign it otherwise he
will bring fraud charge against her for the false report and about lying to him
about being the father to her baby.
Julio is upset about what just transpired with Juana so when Luisa
shows up to work late, he explodes at her and tells her she better not be coming
late to work or he will dock her pay. She correctly guesses that Julio is mad
at Juana so she goes to ask Juana what’s up girl? Juana tells her what happened
and Luisa tells her that she better accept Julio’s proposal if she loves him.
She also says she is lucky to get a marriage proposal so fast because she
waited 5 years and nothing happened.
Antonio gets to Roxy’s tells her to sign the agreement about Diego, or else
he will file a complaint against her for fraud. Roxy will not sign, so Antonio
leaves and warns her that he will be suing her.
Andrea is looking at yet another one of Jorge’s posters pleading with
her not to leave, because he will miss her. Andrea becomes sentimental, when Santi
comes to give her some good news. He bought the airline tickets to go to Chile,
Andrea is not pleasantly surprised.
Sarah runs up to Santi, who tells her about the pending Chile trip, and
Sarah says she is surprised that Andrea would leave because she is in love with
Jorge. “What are you saying?” says Santi "they are cousins” Yes Sarah
understands that but Jorge is in love with Andrea and Andrea loves him back.
Santi won’t buy it, so Sarah says “well do what you will, I already did my part
by warning you”
In the meantime Andrea runs into Jorge and tells him to stop putting up
the posters because all he accomplishes is to confuse her. She is going to
Chile to forget him and she suggests that he do the same and forget her.
Frank calls a doctor who is selling his practice; he wants to go meet
with him.
Hortensia goes to Fabi’s office and is complaining about what Julio is
doing. Fabi is very astute and asks Hortensia “could it be that you hate Juana
because of Fanny?" "your grandfather was a loser who left me for that woman, but
this is not what I am talking about” “Juana is a simple maid, and Julio needs
someone better”. Fabi defends Juana, but Hortensia says I will have to be dead
before allowing Julio and Juana to be together.
Juana goes to Julio’s office, when the secretary announces her; Julio
makes a face of disgust. (He truly does not love Juana; she is in for a lot of
hurt). Juana goes in apologizes to Julio and asks that he be patient with her.
Hortensia continues complaining about how embarrassing it will be for
Juana and Julio to marry. She says she is feeling sick and begins to leave.
Fabiola calls Frank and he says he is going into surgery, but take her in. Hortensia
does not want to go to doctor she just wants to go home. Fabi offers to take
her home. They go outside and Fabi says
for Granma Hortensia to wait outside while she goes to get the car. As she is
leaving Hortensia catches a glimpse of Ramon across the street and asks
"what is he doing there?" Well Fabi explains that Ramon is opening up
a mechanic’s shop across the street. Hortensia then begins to faint; from
across the street Ramon sees and hears Fabiola screaming for help. Lucho goes
to get a car, Ramon lifts the grandma in his arms puts her in the car Tells Fabi
to go in the back of the car with Hortensia and he will drive them to the
hospital. Fabi complies and Ramon gets in the driver seat and drives off to the
hospital. At hospital Fabi tells the receptionist that her husband Frank works
there to look for him.
Meanwhile Frank is at the hospital with blond bimbo nurse, and she
tells him she has not seen him in a while. He has time now so let’s go “see
each other”. They are in a room taking
their clothes off making out when the PA announces that they need Frank for a
patient. He at first ignores the P.A.
At her office Maggie gets a text from Porfirio but she ignores it. Porfi
is pretty sad because he can see she reads the messages but does not reply.
Antonio shows up tells Maggie that Roxy did not sign the papers. Then Maggie
gets a call from Fabi who tells her that mommy dearest is in the hospital.
At a hotel Julio gets the keys to a room Juana looks very uncomfortable
and tells Julio this is not such a good idea. Julio tells her not to worry but
then he gets a call from Margarita telling him that Hortensia is sick at the
hospital, Julio returns the keys to the room and then both he and Juana leave
to go to the hospital.
Frank finally gets dressed and answers the call to go see Hortensia.
When he walks into Hortensia’s room he sees Ramon there and goes ballistic. He
kicks Ramon out of the room. Fabi is going to run after him but Frank grabs her
by the arm, to the point where he hurts her. The doctor tells Frank to behave
himself and concentrate on the patient. Fabi goes out to thank Ramon for his
help Ramon tells her it was his pleasure and he hopes Hortensia gets better.
She looks at him longingly and thanks him; he walks away turns around and looks
at her the same way. (Chemistry at work)
Outside the hospital Ramon comes back because he forgot to give Fabi
the car keys. He finds Julio and Juana there gives them the key to give to
Fabi. At that moment Fabi and Frank come out and argue Frank is extremely jealous
of Ramon and wants her to obey him, grabs her by the arm hard again and Ramon
sees this abuse and jumps into action. Tells Frank “you better not do anything
to her, she is protected” leaves. Frank is fuming.
Santi finds Andrea and asks her if it’s true that she loves Jorge. She
says that yes but it is an impossible love because they are cousins, so she
wants to leave to forget him. Santi is confused and wants to know if she is
leaving just to put distance between Jorge and herself. He will have to think
things through before making a decision.
At hospital the doctor gives the family the bad news that Hortensia has
had a brain hemorrhage. She needs to undergo a 5 hour surgery.
Frank takes Fabi to a private room tells her she has to quit the shop,
well she will not because her uncle needs her now more than ever because of the
competition. Frank then asks “what about Canada?” Well that will have to wait
due to the circumstances. Fabi leaves and tells him to do what he must. Frank
is actually happy because he was not going to take Fabi to Canada anyway. He instead
wants to use her money to open up his own doctor’s office.
Santi goes to see Andrea and tells her that he does not want to lose
her so things should continue the way they were.

Sandie, thank much for a great recap! I just loved the "Chesty la Rue" bit. It was really sweet of her to cook for Benny, but, for whatever reason, I am beginning to suspect that she no longer believes that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
It looks like the (not so) Good Doctor Francisco is taking his marriage vows quite seriously. Especially the "to have and to abuse" part. As for the Bimbo scene, I'm sure he was just reviewing anatomy; it's been a long time since medical school.
I really do feel for poor Sofia, she deserves better, especially since her Fab competition is such a jerk.

Lucio, you are on point with the relative ease in which marriage has been treated here. Fast and furious with changes in the blink of an eye.
I think Franc marrying Fabi was only for the money. The fact it devastated Ramon was just a gratifying side effect.

Thanks Sandie. Fun recap today. I believe I enjoy the Dr Parrot scenes most. I especially liked it when Wanna(cracker) was paying her bill to the Doctor and he showed his appreciation by eating it right on the spot.
My My, Susy is sharp this morning, it must be the frisky weather over there.
I like number three. Well, I like two too. Six is good as well. I was hopeoing for Fabi to take a big sniff of Frankcystco when he finally showed up and smell cheap perfume, but no. She was almost in a hypnotic trance with Ramoon within kissing distance.
So Juana is going to a Hotel?--Trivago...with Wolfio? One word..cobwebs, Julio. How did that happen? Is she going to tell Ramon? So, Wanna how long has it been? (How old is Ramon) If she only knew that Wolfio sees her the same way Hortensia sees her. But she will later.
And why does Ramoon push and shove and argue and carry on like a school boy who really is afraid to fight? DON'T warn him. Just cold cock him right in the face. The first blow is half the fight, even more if you draw first blood. U--LOAD on him Ramoon, knock him into next week.
Keep up the heat Ada, Benny is almost there. He drank a whole glass of something in one gulp after he smelled that tea spill area. Wear a little red dress and it is a done deal. Hell orange, purple, blue, green anything but monochrome and he will be yours now.

Thank you so much, Sandie! I know it was horrible to laugh but when Julio said: "who knew after so many threats that she would actually get sick!" Julio's right though, Hortensia has been threatening illness since this thing began and it she finally got her wish. Never cry wolf too many times, it may just come.
I hope Fabiola smacks the daylights out of Francisco before Ramon KO's him. He's been so grabby lately, manhandling Fabiola left and right. Holy Jesus, if he asked for anything, let alone money, I'd tell him to get moving because he's not getting anything out of me.
I was so confused as to how Julio and Juana ended up at a hotel? Did I miss something? I thought she apologized but then they were going to bunny hop? Whattt?

I wondered the same thing about Wolfio and Juana. I was trying to figure out where they were at first, and my only clue was that big "New York" clock and then it dawned on me what was going on. Didn't they skip a few steps along the way?

Susanlynn, Ramon is definitely a romantic. How Fabiola doesn't see that is beyond me.

I have to give Julio credit though. If we didn't know better, we might have believed his intense defense of Juana to Hortensia. The not so shining knight in armor almost seemed rather passionate about a love that sadly exists only in Juana's hopeful mind.
Kirby and Susanlynn, I did not understand the puzzling teleportation to the hotel either (or Trivago as you sagely noted Kirby) :) Color me confused.
I still want to know why on earth Sophia chose the least desirable location on earth for the shop. From her rueful expression, she apparently did not expect the endless parade of relatives or Fabi and Ramon seeing each other every 5 seconds. Seeing Ramon carrying out vile Hortensia seemed to be the wake up call that occurred far too late.
Kirby, not a fan of violence but if Ramon had punched Fran's lights out, I would have cheered.
Looks like little Fran is continuing his little cheating game. I was waiting for Ramon to burst through the door! And Fran's manhandling of Fabi is sounding all of the alarms. He would have only needed to grab my arm once with force, and I would have been gone.

Hi there, Diana. Yes, one arm grab like that , and like you, I would be long gone..after a knee to his bits and pieces. One has to nip that kind of behavior in the bud. I think it hasn't been a week since Santiago offered Andrea to go to Chile. Now the plane tickets are ready. He got them for a really good price. These people are making life changing decisions with the easiness of choosing a shirt in the morning. Like, marry and move to Canada, move to Chile. To marry is given as much thought as going out for a cup of coffee.
The whole selling point of the marriage for Fabiola was to move to Canada so she could forget Ramon. Two days later that goal is out. I am getting a hint that Fabiola is a little inconsistent. So why did she marry Franc? To stick it to Ramon? She sure did, now what?

I was lost at the part where Julio and Juana were in a hotel lobby. How did that happen? I don't recall him making a date to sleep with her. They haven't even really been dating or going out even to dinner! How in the world would straight laced Juana end up at a hotel with Julio? I don't get it. I must have missed something. (I'm sick right now and between coughs and sneezing I must have missed something.
Oh I was so angry with Francisco and his abusive behavior with Fabi. Even with her lack of wisdom, she does not deserve to be mistreated and abused. Any man who physically abuses women should be sent to HELL ASAP. To me, that is worse than his adultery.

I agree with everyone about the Medina girls taking life changing decisions too lightly. It may be a sign of the times when a 20 something year old gets married without first letting her family know. Regardless of the circumstances, marriage is one of the most life impacting steps in anyone's life and Fabi had two civil ceremonies scheduled 1 week apart. Sad.
And Andrea well, her intentions are valid but too hasty a decision to go to another country.

I hated that Juana made another quick turn around for the worse. I think the hotel was Julio's idea since Juan didn't want to do anything at her boss's house...out of respect...and he wants to quickly get her in the sack to seal the deal. Yet I can't believe that Juana, being so old-fashioned and conservative would agree to it. If he loves her, he'll wait, but he doesn't...he's too rushed to get his grimy hands all over...the money.
I agree everything happens to quickly with the Medina girls...yesterday her looks could have killed Ramon...today they wanted to devour him...the nice way :-)

Most important plot development of the episode, we finally know where Francisco's bedhead comes from: one too many rumbles in the supply closet.

Alfredo, good call. Yes Susy and Alfredo, it appears the bedhead is explained. The question is, given the current state of affairs, is there any way for Fabi to catch the Cyst, not that she would really care anyway?
She has not shown herself to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, and with her all consuming preoccupation with Ramoon, she is just not on top of things.
So after the cross continent move and internship or what ever was all set up, it can just evaporate like poof! ? Had The Cyst already given his notice? For a normal job it is usually two weeks, much longer for people who will be difficult to replace/highly educated professionals.

I don't klnow what Francisco was going to do exactly because I remember him thinking to himself that the internship was just a sham. These are things Fabiola should be asking, as she is a working girl as well, but she seems to just cruise about employment and life with a comfortable, breezy attitude. Much like Santiago can just arrive at a university and just leave a month later at the drop of a dime.

When Ramoon and the cyst were struggling around I sounded like Don King in Mohammed Ali's corner in a championship bout. Knock him OUT. Use your left. Now! Take him downtown. Turn off his lights!

I'm surprised this thing hasn't milked that plot point for all it's worth. It seems so inconsequential to everyone that Andrea would leave with her teacher (on top of only knowing him for one month). Shouldn't at least Juana be running about worried about the teacher who's corrupting her baby girl? Juana's so strict and conservation for some things but so loose with others.

Has Santiago learned about the million yet? Once he does he may immediately propose marriage to Andrea and start dreaming of opening a small architecture office.
Then there is Sophia, who had, or may still have, as much money as Fab or Ande and she can't BUY a kiss.

Kirby..yes, where is that guy? Are the Good Samaritans now helping him? That whole kidnapping storyline seems to have fizzled out. Maybe the writers got distracted or could not figure out how to resolve it once they introduced it. They do not appear to understand the concept of the arc of a story.
I see no chemistry between Juana and Juanagotoahotel WOlfio. However, there is a lot of chemistry happening between Wolfio and the money. Dr. Oh NO is going to be his biggest rival for that $$$.
