Juls tells Blanca that
she understands her and is there to support her, but Blanca would like to know
where her support was when what she needed was to be told the truth; Juls also
kept it from her. Juls explains that if they didn’t tell her, it was to avoid
destroying the happiness she was feeling. When Blanca insists that she had a
right to know, Juls justifies that it wasn’t her place to tell her—it was
Robert’s, Eugenio’s and Ana’s decision and she had to respect their decision. Blanca
replies that they always pass over her; she always tells them everything
regardless of whether she should or shouldn’t—she just blurts them out. She
shares with them all her happiness and pain. When she asks why they didn’t
share this with her if it was about her, Jul replies that it was to spare her
more pain. Juls assures her that Eugenio and her children love her very much.
Juls then extends her hand and Blanca takes it. They go for a walk to continue
talking. Blanca is feeling thousands of emotions—anger, frustration, sadness, resentment.
She then asks Juls how she would feel if Robert keeps something very important
from her, but Juls confides he already has; and it hurt her very much. Blanca
points out the same is happening to her; she has spent all her life getting
orders from Don Eugenio. He tells her to talk or not talk; he calls her
meddlesome, a gossip…he tells her to give her opinion or not to…or not to cry.
He even asked her to consider her son dead! She has reached her limit; she doesn’t think
it’s fair.
As Gabriel drives along,
he calls Dani who doesn’t answer. He leaves a message that she shouldn’t go to
the restaurant. He needs to talk to her. [Mexican Version: Meanwhile, Dani walks
with Linda telling her they need help the people in Juchitán. Linda already
posted a message telling her friends that they need to take food, medicine,
food…whatever else is needed.
During their walk, Juls
tells Blanca that her children want her to know that they miss her very much,
they are respecting her space. Blanca states that they have nothing to do with
this and thinks Eugenio was the one who convinced everyone to keep quiet, but
Juls advises that she shouldn’t take out all her resentment for Ana on Eugenio.
She also reminds Blanca that the one that plainly manipulated everyone was
Tulio. Blanca can’t recall ever feeling such resentment—she accepted Ana into
her home, sat her at her table, she trusted Ana… that is why she is so angry
with Eugenio; he knew the truth and allowed her to continue allowing Ana into
her house and her heart. When Juls asks what she is going to do, Blanca doesn’t
know. Juls suggests that she should start with answering one question: what
does she want to do with her life and for herself next week, next month…next
year? Blanca doesn’t even know what she wants in the next hour. Just then
Amalia arrives and is glad to see Juls because she will be in a singing contest
and needs Juls’s advice on her “look.” When Amalia mentions Belén is making
some guayava porridge, they all go back together.
At the bakery, Rufo can’t
believe Xavi is a baker now. Mari tells him that Xavi had an autograph session
that was very successful. When she asks for his help in recording a song so she
can use all her creativity, make a short video and post it on the internet,
Rufo wants to know where they will get the money. After Xavi interjects that
they only need a studio…and they won’t bother him for anything more, Rufo agrees
to get them the studio.
At the cabin, the four
ladies sit huddled together wrapped in blankets eating their porridge. Amalia
wants to know what the problem is with Blanca getting a divorce, so Belén
reminds her that Blanca has been married for forty years. When Amalia mentions
the marriage has been an unhappy one, Blanca denies that it has been all
bad—what she can’t put up with anymore is that Eugenio keep things from her,
scold her for everything, to treat her as she is useless except for what’s
convenient to him. When Juls notes that Eugenio and she clearly love each
other, Belén agrees and thinks divorce shouldn’t be an option…living alone is
not the best. Amalia thinks Blanca should just get separated, but Blanca thinks
Juls is right; even though she is furious with Eugenio, she still loves him…and
she knows Imelda loves her in her own way. Juls acknowledges that Eugenio has
made mistakes, but this time he made his error for love. Before she makes a
decision, Juls wants to help Blanca work on some other issues.
At Xavi’s apartment, Mari
and Frida help him paint the apartment. When Xavi asks about Frida’s therapy,
Frida replies it’s going well but it is strange to tell someone else about her
things. Mari assures her that Daphne will help her; Mari has already seen Frida
improve. After Frida asks if her grandmother will return, Mari tells her that
that her grandmother just needs time to gather her thoughts; and Xavi invites
her to a park after her therapy. Frida agrees, but Mari tells them they have to
finish painting first. Xavi then starts a paint fight.
In the woods on a bench,
Juls gives Blanca a notepad and tells her to list all the things she would have
wanted to do in her lifetime. Afterwards, Blanca needs to sign it which will
indicate that she will do her best to fulfill each desire. Blanca doesn’t know
where to start…there are so many things, but Juls tells her there are many pages
in the notebook and all day. Blanca smiles appreciatively.
At Xavi’s apartment, Xavi
mentions that Mari has been avoiding him. They haven’t talked about their
second kiss; and she hasn’t commented on him liking her. When she tries to
change the subject, he wonders if she wants to pretend as if nothing happened.
Mari thinks it’s just strange because she has been his fan for so many years
and now he’s telling her he likes her. As he takes her hands, Xavi tells Mari
that he is in love with her. Mari thinks that is even stranger and reminds Xavi
that she just went through a divorce. She has to look out for her daughter,
wait until Frida overcomes her problems, wait for her mother to return…Xavi
interrupts and wonders if she is going to wait until her life ends.
In the woods, Juls
reminds Blanca she drove herself all this way; she needs to do things
fearlessly. Blanca starts to write in the notepad as Juls urges her on: be more
sure of herself, be more independent, not be embarrassed to state her opinions,
(as she smiles) look prettier, have one day of rest from the kitchen, be able
to go to the theater alone…
At Xavi’s apartment, Mari
admits that she likes Xavi and that she fell in love with him with realizing
it…or maybe she did realize it, but doesn’t know how to handle all this. When
she mentions that she doesn’t want to confuse Frida, Xavi reminds her that
Frida has said they make a nice couple and Frida likes him. Mari agrees, but
doesn’t think Frida is quite over the issues with her father. Xavi then comments
that they are in love and that she is the first woman who inspires him to fight
for what he wants. When he asks if they aren’t worth fighting for, Mari agrees,
but reminds him that Frida is her priority. Xavi understands and assures Mari
he will always be there to help them. When he what will happen be of their
relationship, Mari thinks they will have to wait, but not much longer; their
love and what they feel will not disappear. Xavi will wait for her; so she
kisses him and leaves.
Blanca continues her
list: not to have to obey Eugenio or Imelda in everything, sleep one extra hour
on Sundays, go on a trip to a place I don’t know, that her children tell her
about their problems, (as she cries) receive more hugs, kisses...and feel
loved…to know that Blanca Gomez is important to someone, and not to die without
feeling fulfilled. As she closes the notepad, Juls puts her arm around Blanca
and Blanca leans into Juls. Juls then assures Blanca that she has her whole
life to fill all the pages of the notebook; but for now, she must sign it and
promise that she is going to accomplish those things. Juls continues that this
is only the first step, but the most important. Blanca just signed a contract
with herself and Juls is very proud of her.
Later, Juls calls Luz to
make sure everything is ready to help out their friends in Juchitán. She lists
all the things to be sent, including what her mother-in-law gave her.
At the restaurant, Danilo
tells Dani that Gabriel’s father ran him off and the new manager needs to talk
to her. Dani goes off and encounters Clarissa who tells Dani that she is now in
charge and one of the first things on her list is to fire her. Dani quickly
turns and leaves.
As Robert walks along, he
talks to Juls and tells her they are already preparing everything to be sent to
Juchitán. Meanwhile, Polita is leaving her apartment as Gabriel arrive; so she
tells him Dani isn’t there. After she warns him about Eugenio’s bad mood,
Gabriel will wait for Dani downstairs.
At the foundation, Robert
talks to Max as Juls arrives. After Robert asks about his mother, Juls tells
him Blanca has many things to resolve. She is calmer, but they do need to talk
to his father.
[Mexican Version: At
Ana’s, Ana is in bed as Tulio holds and kisses her. He wants to take her to the
doctor but she refuses.] Downstairs, Audi gets a call from Polita and mentions
how things are topsy-turvy ever since Blanca left, Tulio saunters in and
listens. After Polita asks him if he can go with her for her ultrasound, Audi
tells her he will ask Tulio as he sees Tulio standing close; so he tells Polita
he’ll let her know later. After he tells Polita he loves her, Audi hangs up.
Tulio comments on Blanca leaving—she probably got tired living amidst so much
manipulation from his mother and brother.
[Mexican Version: In the
woods, Amalia and Belén urge Blanca to go with them on a canoe ride. Blanca
obliges.]
At the Córsega’s, Imelda
urges Juls to tell them about Blanca. Juls tells Eugenio that he needs to take
this calmly; Blanca is not going to return. Blanca is requesting they not go
looking for her. She needs to be far so she can decide what she will want to do
with her life. As Eugenio cries saying that Blanca can’t leave him…she is his
life, Blanca enjoys her canoe ride with her sisters.

Somewhere outside, Aris
and Polita walk along discussing how they will help with donations for the
injured. Meanwhile, Gabriel waits for Dani outside the Córsega building holding
Vani Oso. As Dani arrives, Gabriel goes to hug her. He tried calling her, but
her battery died. Gabriel tried stopping her from going to the restaurant to
avoid her being fired, but she is more worried about how he is feeling. He
tells her he’s angry and frustrated, but he just worries more because she lost
her job because of him. Dani assures him she will find another job and
concentrate more on her carpentry shop. When Gabriel suggest they go for a walk
and order the world, Dani thinks it will be a long walk. They hug and go on
their way.
Inside the building,
Imelda orders Eugenio to stop crying and take a stand, so Juls asks her to go
with her so they can talk. Eugenio stays crying and tells Robert how he never
appreciated Blanca; and now she doesn’t even want to look at him. Robert
suggests he should take this time to think about how he needs to change.
Eugenio needs to be strong; Robert will not leave him alone. Before they know
it, Blanca will return. When Eugenio thinks that Blanca doesn’t even care if he
dies, Robert reminds him that Blanca only asks that they not look for her.
Eugenio insists that every day that passes is one more day that will serve to
convince Blanca that she doesn’t need him.
In Imelda’s bedroom, Imelda wants to
know if Blanca said anything about her or if she is blaming her for everything.
Juls assures her she didn’t, but Blanca wants things to change. Imelda doesn’t
think things can change; there comes a time when it’s not logical for a woman
to want to change. Juls thinks it’s very logical; Blanca has many more years to
live. Imelda insists that Blanca needs to return to her house and husband…and
maintain the peace for her family. When Juls disagrees, Imelda hopes Juls
didn’t go ill-advise Blanca. She asks if it wouldn’t be easier for a woman to
understand her place in the home…instead of going off and complicating her
life. Juls sometimes thinks that Imelda is man; she doesn’t talk like a woman
who has granddaughters and a great granddaughter that need her support as a
woman. When Imelda tells Juls she is crossing lines she shouldn’t, Juls agrees
but just wants her to support the women of the family. Imelda then comments
that it breaks her heart to see her son suffering and Blanca left with
listening to reason, Juls questions if Imelda ever listens to reason. Imelda
gets upset and orders Juls to leave and close the door; so Juls obliges, but purposefully
leaves the door open as Imelda has a hissy fit.
On their canoe ride, when
Amalia asks Blanca if she is sure she is doing the right thing, Blanca is sure
she is. Juls reminded Blanca of all that she has given up because of fear; she
doesn’t want to continue leaving herself last. Belén agrees, but reminds Blanca
that she has a home. Blanca acknowledges it, but has always felt chained to her
home and at work. Her life has gone in getting up…making dough with Eugenio who
is always in a bad mood, making breakfast, washing dishes, making lunch,
washing dishes again, do the laundry, clean the house…just like that, every day
of my life! When Belén comments how time passes, Amalia adds that time passes
until the time comes for aches, menopause, and wrinkles. Blanca agrees; every
day she feels less strong. It pains her that her children are suffering, but
for the first time in her life, she needs to think of herself. She shares that
Juls made her make a list of all the things she wants to do; and she is
determined to do them. When Belén wonders with which ones they can help her,
Blanca replies, “You’re already helping me with the most important one…to feel
loved!” The three sisters hug tightly and hold hands as Blanca wonders where
she is going to live these next few days. Belén shares that things with Aurelio
will probably not work out; she was in love with a memory. Amalia then thinks
they can all live together as when they were children, they all squeal with
glee and agree.

At a park, Dani explains to Gabriel that she took off her engagement ring because she was going to work, but now
that she is jobless, it will return to her hand. When Gabriel asks if she has
told her family, she confides that she has only told her siblings; she hasn’t
told her father because her mother isn’t there. Her family is having problems;
and she knows his father ran him off because of her. Gabriel assures Dani that
his father already had it in for him, but Dani knows his family can’t stand
her. Gabriel thinks it’s time he had his independence; he had already told her
he was tired of being ordered around by his father. Dani agrees, but she
doesn’t wanting him changing his life because of her…or distancing him from his
father. Gabriel assures her that his relationship with his father has always
been a bad one; the important thing is her job. Dani will dedicate herself to
her carpentry; she can take requests for making furniture…and specialize in
baby furniture as her mother suggested. Gabriel thinks it’s a great idea and
suggests he could be her partner. When Dani reminds him he doesn’t know
anything about making furniture, Gabriel thinks he could learn…or better yet,
she could make the furniture and he could be in charge of distribution and
commercializing the business. When he wonders why she stares at him, Dani
confesses that is why she likes him…he never gives up. He then tells her it
won’t be easy, but they could give it a try…together. There is a universe out
there…they need to take risks.
[Mexican Version: At the
cabin, Amalia finishes a song as her sisters clap. Blanca thinks the time has
come when they will support each other in everything; so when Amalia goes to
her contest, she and Belén will be there cheering her on. And if she is in love
with the dance instructor, they will support her with that too. Belén
hesitates, but agrees. The three sisters will be together like the three
musketeers; together they yell, “All for one; and one for all!”]
In their bedroom, Robert
fixes his tie as he tells Juls that he wants to go see his mother today. Juls
doesn’t think it’s a good idea; his mother has so many things spinning around
in her head. When she shares that Blanca made a promise to do all the things
she has given up, Robert thinks she can’t give up her family. Juls assures him
she isn’t; Blanca loves them. She emphasizes that Blanca needs to reconstruct
herself as a woman, but Robert wonders if he can’t at least call her on the
telephone. Juls assures Robert that she is not Blanca’s lawyer or bodyguard,
but asks that he at least give her one more day. Robert complains, but agrees.
At the hospital in a
therapy session, Frida draws a picture of the family without her grandmother.
When Daphne asks about it, Frida replies that Blanca left home and wonders if
her grandmother got tired of them. Daphne explains that Blanca had to have her
reasons and Frida had nothing to do with it. When Frida asks why the people she
loves leave, Daphne reminds her that her mother is still there and her
grandmother will return. Frida brings up her father, so Daphne tells her that
her grandmother’s and father’s decisions are theirs to make and she has nothing
to do with it; the important thing is that, starting at her childhood, Frida
learn to be well with herself.
At Cklass, Mari
approaches Juls and Luz asking for help in recording and promoting a song for
Xavi. Juls advises that she needs a good plan of action focusing on his
strengths and what makes him unique. Luz adds that she needs to remember that
there is much competition out there, so Juls suggests that they need to have a
second song ready or the initial efforts will be futile. When Mari worries
about the costs, Juls and Luz will give her some information about making
proposals and some labels. Mari then is concerned that she wouldn’t know how to
present herself in those meetings, so Juls offers to give her a quick course. They
then roleplay some scenarios and Juls gives her tips on how to carry
herself—relaxed but determined and self-assured. Just then, Gabriel arrives and
asks to talk to Juls, so Luz takes Mari elsewhere to continue her lesson. After
Mari leaves, Juls notices Gabriel looks worried and thinks it’s about Dani.
Gabriel confides that Dani accepted his marriage proposal, but his father found
out and ran him off from his job.
In her shop, Dani works
on a project as she recalls Clarissa’s words, “Let’s see how long your plans to
marry my brother last.” Linda enters and admires Dani’s work. She thinks she
could never find herself with a saw. When Linda suggests Dani should try
something more feminine such as interior design, Dani shoots down her idea and
tells her that it is carpentry that she enjoys. Linda gets pensive and thinks
it’s incredible that, with her hands as dry as they are, Dani wears an
engagement ring. Dani notes Linda’s mood and stops what she’s doing. When she
asks Linda what’s wrong, Linda shares that Bruno has her hidden as if she were
ugly…and it’s all Julieta’s fault. After Linda complains that Juls will never
stop making her suffer, Dani thinks that the one at fault is Bruno. Dani has
learned that the important thing is that someone stand up for her. She shares
that Gabriel lost his job to be with her, so she realized that Gabriel is
taking a risk for them as a couple. Linda also deserves to be with someone that doesn’t care what he has to give up to be with her.
At Cklass, Gabriel
realizes he isn’t who he thought he was…the center of the universe. He
reiterates that his father ran him off from his job; that means he could also
kick him out of his apartment. Gabriel has always counted on the name “Mussi.”
He studied at incredible universities and traveled the world. When Gabriel
comments that now, his father has made it very clear that his father gave him
everything, Juls agrees with that statement. Gabriel needs to accept reality;
his father has always told him what to do. Gabriel agrees and notes that he was
following the path…Gabriel would run the business; everything would flow
marvelously…but the plan blew up. Juls suggests he make a new plan and make
things happen to his benefit. When she suggests he post his résumé on the
internet, Gabriel doesn’t think anyone would hire him, but Juls thinks he just
needs to do it and believe. If he throws himself to the ground, he will remain
there. Gabriel then comments that he doesn’t understand his father who has
always said his children were most important to him. Gabriel thinks his
father’s ego is what is important to his father...even his hateful sisters came
out winning. Juls points out that those things will never change; and his
family will never accept Dani. When Juls suggests he will have to decide
between his family and Dani, Gabriel, without hesitation, chooses Dani. Juls
then advises that he needs to take control of his life. It will be difficult,
but from this day forward, everything that he accomplishes will be his…not his
father’s.
At the doctor’s office,
Polita is undergoing her ultrasound accompanied by Audifaz and Aris. When they
are told that it will be a boy, they are elated. Aris comments that he is old
enough to be his uncle; and Audi thinks that if that is the case, he (Audi)
could be his grandfather…then makes a face when he realizes what he just said. When
Polita wonders what they will name their son, Audi wants to continue with the
triple “A” tradition, so he suggests “Archimedes.” Aris is not too thrilled
with the idea of “Audifaz, Amapola, Aristóteles, and Archímedes.”
At the hospital, Mari
arrives and tells Xavi, who has been waiting for Frida, how her meeting with
Juls went. When she shares that Juls thinks she needs more character to have
successful meetings, Xavi is sure she will learn fast. She then tells him of
some ideas for his video—which include his piano and the bakery with the idea
that everything is made with love. When Xavi replies that he likes the idea and
likes her, Mari gets jittery. She remembers how Juls told her to look people in
the eye, but with him, she gets embarrassed and can’t. As she walks away, he
goes after her and puts his arms around her telling her to imagine them
together holding hands and waiting for Frida every day after school…and not let
each other go until Frida is fifteen, then eighteen, then thirty. When Mari
wonders if he will always love Frida, he affirms it and tells her he knows that
she is a 2-for-1; and he will always take care of her and Frida, but he knows
they will have to wait. Just then, Robert approaches from behind, clears his
throat and asks if there something going on. Maria pretends she doesn’t know
what he’s talking about; so Robert mentions that they were very close and
somewhat nervous. When Xavi and Mari tell him that they are just there waiting
for Frida, Robert thanks Xavi for accompanying them, then nods and looks at
them skeptically.
As Frida leaves her
therapy, Daphne asks her to repeat her two assignments: 10 to do her things
well and not think that her grandmother doesn’t love them and 2) remember that
there are people who love her like her cousin, her mother and Xavi.
When Daphne takes Frida
with Mari, Frida tells Mari things went better than the first time. Robert
interjects that it’s normal; as she continues, she will feel more comfortable
and relaxed. Xavi then tells her they can go to the park. Robert offers to go
with them; and as they walk away, Daphne smiles.
[Mexican Version: At
Polita’s, Polita tells Audi not to feel bad about the grandfather comment, but
Audi worries that he won’t have the strength to carry his son or play with him,
and to see him mature. As Polita hugs and assures him that he has many more
years to live, he tells her she will be the best mother for their son. She then
confides that when she saw their baby during the ultrasound, she thought of
looking for her mother to tell her that she will be a grandmother for a second
time, even though her mother doesn’t even know Aris. When Polita wonders if she
should do it, Audi tells her she should always do what her heart dictates.]
At Cklass, Juls continues
to advise Gabriel. She reminds him that he has experience and he communicates
well. He can start at the carpentry shop and look for another job. He then
wonders if she could use a model since he is better than the ones she has, but
Juls only laughs and tells him he is starting to be like Linda. When she
reminds him that the world is not for the weak, he agrees and will do it for
himself and Dani. He offers her an appreciation hug, so she comments that he is
getting very corny, but agrees to a quick one.
At the park, Mari, Xavi
and Eugenio are all on their phones urging friends to help out with their cause
to help the people in Juchitán.
At
night—
The three sisters arrive
at Belén’s house. Blanca and Amalia offer to stay at a hotel to give Belén time
to talk to Aurelio. After Blanca and Amalia sit down, Amalia offers to run
Aurelio off, but Belén quiets her thinking that Aurelio will hear her. While
Belén goes looking for Aurelio, Blanca tells Amalia she would like to call her
children, but she doesn’t know who to call first; and she doesn’t want to call
if they are with Eugenio. Just then Belén walks back slowly and cries that
Aurelio left her again; he took all of his things. Blanca stands and gives her
a hug.
As Juls walks into her
apartment, Robert video calls her with a surprise. He is with Dave who is still
working on his painting. She promises to go see him within the next few days;
she has had much work, but hasn’t forgotten him. As Dave tells her he hasn’t
forgotten her either, the doorbell rings. Before hanging up she sends him
kisses and assures him she will help him with the waves. Dave then tells Robert
he has never seen the ocean, so Robert suggests they might go together some
day. Just then, Robert gets a call from his mother.

Polita enters
Julieta’s apartment and tells her that she is having a boy. Juls is very happy
for her. Polita is appreciative because, with everything that has been
happening, Juls is the only one that has worried about her or her pregnancy.
Juls assures her that everyone cares, but Polita knows that thanks to Juls, she
has a crib and could see her baby; so Polita wants Juls to be the baby’s
godmother. After Juls gladly agrees, Polita shows her the first photo of
Julieta’s godson. As she looks at it, Juls recalls seeing her own baby during
the ultrasound and being told how difficult it would be for her to get pregnant
again. Polita notices Julieta’s somber mood, so Juls explains that she was
reminded of her own baby; then she congratulates and hugs Polita.
