Mi Marido Tiene Familia #96, 1/4/2018: Love Abounds for the Young and the Not so Young

Thoughts and dreams in italics

[Previously courtesy of Jarifa: Ignacio does not want to lose the right to see his daughter.

Julieta and Robert are alone on the beach while Dave is happily playing soccer with the other kids. Julieta is so happy having a family. Robert is happy that finally they are fulfilling one of their dreams. Julieta says that she never thought that all of this would have happened just by moving into that apartment. Robert adds ‘and that he would find his family.’ Julieta adds a great family it is. She admits she is just kidding. He asks if she is sorry about him having found his family. No, because if he had not found them, they probably would not be where they are today. She asks if he is sorry for having married her. How could he be sorry if he is more in love than ever? Robert and Julieta go over their whole wedding ceremony and reception in their heads as we see a montage of scenes. Robert proclaims that tonight is their honeymoon. Julieta agrees and says that she is happier with him every day. Robert doesn’t want it to ever end. Julieta says it has just begun. They do their “imán” thing and kiss.

Back in their room, as Julieta puts on perfume, Dave tells his mommy that she smells very good. After she sprays perfume on him and tells him that they are now ready for their special dinner, Dave mentions that his friends invited him to play soccer…and afterwards they are going to see a movie with the coach. Julieta wonders what she and Robert will do is he is away for so long. When Dave replies that they have to do adult things, Julieta smiles and tells him they will have to tell his father. Julieta then tells Dave that she loves hearing him call her “mother.” Dave also loves hearing her call him “son.” They hug as they repeat the words they so love to hear.

At the Córsegas, Mari tells Icknacio that she will not remove the complaint unless he shows her that he really is regretful. Frida adds that she is afraid that he will hurt them again. After Frida tells him she no longer believes in him, she runs off. Icknacio shouts to Frida to forgive him, but she doesn’t listen. Mari advises him to make a commitment to himself and to set a schedule for seeing Frida, but most of all he needs to show that he can win Frida’s trust again.

In Acapulco, after Robert talks to Robert Sr. and tells him he is glad they arrived well, Julieta and Dave approach. Robert remarks what a lovely family he has, so Julieta gives him a kiss. Dave covers his eyes and asks if they have finished, so Robert confirms they have. Dave then asks if he can go with his friends, so Robert gives him permission and Dave goes with his coach. Julieta never thought this day would ever arrive—they are now parents. Robert agrees and tells her that this is their reality; he is so happy to share it with her. He then suggests that now that their son has left them alone, they take advantage of the surprise he prepared for her. As they kiss, Dave enjoys playing soccer with his friends and scores a goal (looong kiss!!).

At the Córsegas, Blanca writes in her notepad: There comes a time in life when you don’t want to make the same mistakes or do to others what you don’t like done to you. Eugenio interrupts and tells Blanca that he has been thinking about what she said and he realizes that they are making a mistake; they have no right to pressure Dani. Blanca agrees and is happy he has realized it. He tells her that Imelda is talking to Dani and the ‘oso’ arrived so they are going to be discussing things for quite a while. When he puts his hands on her shoulders and tells her that Mari and Linda are not there, Blanca giggles and wonders what bug bit hi. Eugenio points out that they are alone, then kisses her. They both giggle as Eugenio puts his arm around her.

In Acapulco, Julieta and Robert enjoy dinner on the beach.

They eat, they toast, then they go for a short walk on the beach…and they kiss as the waves splash softly on the shore.

At the Córsegas, Frida’s eyes are wide open and she smiles, so Mari wonders what is going on. Frida tells her that her grandparents are locked in their bedroom and are laughing a lot…like they’re playing tricks (ahem, clears throat, yes, Frida…tricks :-) When Mari’s lightbulb turns on, she invites Frida to go for a frozen treat.

At Night—

In Acapulco, Robert and Julieta are in their bedroom. Robert smells a rose and approaches Julieta from behind as she admires a vase of flowers. He tenderly caresses her shoulder as he shows her the rose. Julieta turns slowly to look at Robert and they say “I love you” to each other. Robert then caresses her face with the rose and kisses her. As they kiss, Julieta slowly unbuttons Robert’s shirt, revealing his bare chest. She gently pushes him toward the bed until he leans back on the bed and she climbs on top of him. They continue their lovemaking amidst the candles which burn as their ardent passion consumes them. After their desires are quenched, Julieta and Robert sit by the Jacuzzi as Julieta thanks Robert for understanding her and staying at her side. Robert assures her that he will always be by her side unconditionally…what happens to her, happens to him. Julieta tells him that for her, it was very special. She doesn’t know why, but she felt different…she feels much peace. Robert smiles as he embraces her.

Mari goes to meet with Xavi and hands him an envelope of money given as an advance for his upcoming performances. When she advises him to open up a banking account so she can make deposits, Xavi shares that he never thought he would receive that much money again. After she tells him she has to leave to go finish some things having to do with his performance, Xavi asks her about their relationship. He wonders if they are going to continue the same way…he misses her and she doesn’t even call him. Mari replies that she has been very busy and tells him in a very profession tone about all the things she has been doing for his career. Xavi doesn’t know how easy it is for her to be just his manager, but that’s not what he wants; he needs her. Mari quickly gets up to leave, but Xavi grabs her and kisses her, though she pulls away and runs off.

In Acapulco, Robert and Julieta go for Dave who was still with his friends. On their way back to the hotel. Dave shares how they went to a monster movie and he was the only one who wasn’t scared. Dave wonders if he can invite his friend over to their house, but without a big party. Robert agrees and tells him they can do one like they did for Dave’s grandparents, but Julieta tells him he shouldn’t ‘Corseguiar’ (be like the Córsegas). Robert thinks Dave is sounding more like his mother, but Dave wants to be like both of them.

At Julieta’s apartment, Linda is with Bruno as he tells her about his robots. When she comments that the robots need to be activated, he tells her that his robots just need a little push. Linda wonders, “Like the one Julieta gave you?” Bruno doesn’t think it was the same, then notices her somber mood and asks her if anything is wrong. When Linda asks what he expects of her and if he wouldn’t like to marry her, Bruno remains pensive.

At the Córsega kitchen, Dani pours herself some orange juice as Eugenio comes in with a big smile. When Dani asks him why he is smiling, Eugenio denies smiling so Dani thinks they should take him to the doctor because his face has become deformed. Eugenio laughs, but then gets serious and apologizes for the horrible things he said to her a while ago and he would never miss out on going to her wedding. Dani thanks him, but tells him he should be more careful with what he says. Eugenio admits he should and continues to tell her that she is his little girl whom he adores; his biggest wish is that she be happy. When Dani asks if he will allow her to plan the wedding as she wishes, Eugenio responds that he has no choice; she’ll do it anyway. When Dani frowns, he adds that he was kidding!

At Julieta’s apartment, Bruno tells Linda that he loves her, but questions getting married since they aren’t even 25 yet. Linda agrees and understands, but she just wants to plan a future with him. Bruno suggests that they can plan something else, like a trip or a project; this satisfies Linda who then announces that she has quit her job because she is going to follow his advice and look for her own path. When she tells him she doesn’t want to lose him, Bruno assures her that she isn’t; he just wants her to discover who she really is. He then points out that they are alone in the house, so they proceed to kiss and end up on the couch…until Catalina interrupts them and tells Linda to get out. Catalina is glad she stayed to housesit because who knows what could have happened!

At Polita’s, the table is filled with goodies as Polita tells Tulio that she is glad he came over. Audifaz shares that his brother has decided to start a new life. Tulio explains that, all his life, he has kept away because of his anger toward his mother. Polita interjects that she doesn’t understand the people who stay away to live in their pain and suffering. Rebeca then shares that the same happened to her and would like to say that…family is family. Tulio agrees that what exists within a family cannot be found anywhere else. After Rebeca points out how well ‘Amapolita’ looks in her dress, Aris wonders why she gave his mother that name. Polita doesn’t want her mother to share that story, but Audifaz urges her on. Rebeca starts to share the story, but Polita kindly warns her that if she continues she will never be invited over to her house again. Rebeca laughs and agrees to stop.

In Acapulco, Robert goes to see Dave who still hasn’t fallen asleep. Dave sleepily tells Robert he isn’t sleepy and wants Robert to tell him about Robert’s first trip to the beach. Robert shares that his adoptive parents took him and his siblings to the beach in Los Angeles. Dave asks if Robert liked having siblings, so Robert responds that though they fought quite a bit, they enjoyed themselves every day. Dave falls asleep as Robert is about to tell him about his sister running away from school. Robert watches Dave as he tells Dave he loves him very much.

Meanwhile, Julieta is asleep on the couch as she dreams: Robert and Dave are on the beach playing in the sand. Julieta is coming out of the hotel with luggage; when she reaches the stairs, she drops the luggage and toys spill out. Julieta shouts out to Robert and Dave, but they do not hear her. Julieta wakes up wondering what her dream could mean.

At the Córsega’s, Imelda is commenting to Blanca that Tulio was always obsessed with Ana; that’s why she thinks it’s best for both of them that they get a divorce. When Blanca shares that she still has much anger toward Ana, Imelda advises that though Ana did a terrible thing, when one forgives, the benefit is not for the other person, the biggest benefit is for oneself who is capable of forgiving. Blanca nods, but doesn’t know how to forgive Ana; she can’t justify what she did to Juan Pablo. Imelda is only asking Blanca to think about it and to think about living with all that hate in her heart. Blanca shakes her head in dismay.

At Julieta’s apartment, Catalina talks to Julieta on the phone as she complains that Julieta doesn’t care if she loses sleep. When Catalina asks what’s wrong, Julieta shares she dreamed of luggage again. Julieta doesn’t care for Catalina’s superstitions, but wonders if Catalina asked about its meaning. Catalina confirms that she did; her fortune teller told her it meant that there are important changes coming. When Julieta wonders what kind of changes, Catalina replies that it depends on what she sees in her dream. Julieta complains about the vagueness of the fortune teller, so Catalina criticizes her for calling so late and then having the audacity to doubt her fortune teller. Julieta decides to forget the issue and says good-bye. After she hangs up, Robert comes into the bedroom and asks why she is still awake. After Julieta approaches him and tells him she was talking to her mother, to no avail, Robert hugs her and tells her that their son is sound asleep…so he was thinking…since it is their honeymoon… He picks her up as she wraps her legs around him. He then slowly takes her to their bed kissing her tenderly…

At the Córsega’s, Blanca is in her bedroom writing in her notepad as Eugenio walks in wondering what she is doing. Blanca sighs deeply and tells him she can’t sleep; she is perturbed. When Blanca mentions that she heard Tulio in the hallway and that he was with Audifaz, Eugenio wonders if Tulio did anything to her, but she assures him Tulio did nothing. Blanca comments that Tulio is divorcing Ana. For a moment, she thought he deserved it, but she doesn’t want to live her life hating Ana. Blanca then explains that she is writing Ana a letter. Even though she may never give it to Ana, she needs to write it to do away with all the ill-feelings she is carrying inside her.

Many days afterwards—

Robert serves Blanca in his kitchen. When Robert asks what happened, Blanca shares that Polita told her of all the therapies Ana is undergoing; Blanca has so many pending issues with Ana. Robert then shares that when Ana started her therapies, she looked for him and asked him to forgive her; so he told Ana that she needed to forgive herself. Blanca confesses that she has had several restless nights thinking about things she doesn’t like…hoping that life punish Ana for what she did. Robert doesn’t think it’s good to have those thoughts and suggests that Blanca go to Ana and confront all those feelings she is having. Blanca nods as she considers Robert’s suggestion.

At Cklass, Julieta tells Luz that she regrets having told her mother about her dreams involving luggage…every day Catalina comes up with a different interpretation. As Julieta yawns, Luz remarks that her dream is very crazy. Julieta keeps yawning as she talks to Luz and the receptionist hands her some brochures. As Julieta and Luz walk into Julieta’s office, Luz thinks her dreams have to do with Dave; Julieta agrees, but wonders what it means or if it is just her anxiety about being a good mother. When Luz asks how Julieta has been feeling about Dave, Julieta replies that she couldn’t be happier; she feels as if destiny always knew she would be Dave’s mother. As Julieta yawns again, the receptionist walks in with a box that was just delivered without a card. She opens the box to find framed pictures of the “Familia Oppa” at Acapulco. Julieta yawns and fans herself.

At the Córsegas, the Hermonsters meet with the family to discuss plans for the wedding. Clarissa mentions that they are very worried; the weeks are flying by and nothing has been organized for the wedding. When Dani comments that she and Gabriel are doing their part, Cassandra assumes that her comment means they want to push them aside. Clarissa then suggests they discuss the maids of honor/bridesmaids; so Linda gets excited and tells them she saw some divine dresses. When Clarissa asks, “What does divine mean to you, love?” Linda scowls and tells her not to call her ‘love’ and mocks, “You do understand me?” Clarissa can’t believe they want to be bridesmaids and Cassandra asks how old they are; so Mari tells them she is 32 (and there we have it! her actual age!). Clarissa turns to Amalia and remarks that surely she has surpassed the 5th floor (50s). Amalia shrieks and gets up asking if she has a problem with it and intimidating them.

At Cklass, Bruno goes to visit Julieta and tells her he got the grant to go study robotics in another country. Julieta is very happy and congratulates him, but Bruno worries about Linda; he doesn’t know how to tell her. Julieta advises that there are so many things that they still need to decide on about their lives; these could become obstacles. Bruno doesn’t know if he can go away and leave Linda there. Julieta reminds him that she once told him that his dreams may require him to leave the country. Bruno remembers and frowns.

At the Córsegas, Amalia is over Clarissa as Clarissa stresses that if they don’t come to an agreement the wedding will be a fiasco. Mari, Linda, and the Hermonsters start throwing side remarks at each other until Dani gets fed up and tells them to stop because this is lunacy! Dani asked her sisters and her aunt to have this meeting. Cassandra then refuses to have Amalia in the bridesmaid group and Clarissa adds that Amalia is too big. Amalia gets up again and slams down her notebook. She wonders if the Hermonsters are afraid that she will distract all the single, handsome men away from them.

Clarissa gets up and runs away so Amalia goes to sit beside Cassandra who comments that the family is strange.

At Cklass, Bruno tells Julieta that he is in a panic and is afraid that Linda is too attached to him. When he comments that it seems that he is her whole world, Julieta doesn’t think that is healthy. Julieta then asks Bruno to think ahead 5 years and imagine that he had given up his grant to stay with Linda. After Julieta asks if he thinks he would be happy, Bruno shakes his head.

At the carpentry shop, Dani tells Gabriel that the families almost killed themselves. Dani loves Gabriel, but she thinks she will never get along with his sisters; they are too complicated.

On a sidewalk, Xavi is outside with some fans when Mari walks by; so he quickly goes to her and asks why she doesn’t answer his calls. Mari tries to come up with an excuse, but Xavi tells her that if she is going to make him choose between her being his manager or his woman, he chooses her as his woman and will give up everything else. He is willing to give up his singing career, the fame and everything else for her. He already learned how to make bread; so he can go work at their bakery. Mari tells him not to be silly, but Xavi assures her he is serious and reiterates that he is willing to give up everything for her; he doesn’t want to be apart from her anymore.

Bruno goes to see Linda and tells her he needs to talk to her. When she asks if he is going to break up with her, he tells her it will be up to her. He then tells her about his grant to go to Europe…and he is going to accept. He then tells Linda he will be going away and asks her to forgive him as Linda cries.

Ana is walking in front of a building talking to her doctor and tells him she has been exercising and doing well. After she hangs up, she sees Blanca coming from the opposite direction as she greets and makes comments to people in English. Ana calls out to Blanca, but Blanca tries to walk away. Ana rushes after her and tells her she needs to talk to her, but Blanca doesn’t want to listen to her; there is nothing she can say that will change things. Ana hasn’t stopped thinking about Blanca and pleads that Blanca listen to her. Ana is trying to change her life. She is seeing a very good therapist who has helped her a lot and shown her that change has to be within her. She needs to forgive herself for all her errors, but she also needs Blanca to forgive her. Blanca can’t forgive her; this does not depend on her…it’s like asking her not to care about her family. Blanca tells Ana that Ana tore her into pieces for several years and questions that now she expects her to forgive her…and to forget it. Ana can’t forget it either; that is something else she has learned: one cannot deny one’s past; one has to confront it. When Ana adds that there is hope for a better future, Blanca thinks it’s best if each one live with their own sorrow. What torments Blanca in her heart and in her head can’t be just torn out. It will never stop hurting her. Blanca demands that Ana not look for her again because this will never stop hurting her. Blanca then walks away, but Ana calls out that Blanca can’t just leave her like that. Blanca pauses and, without turning to look at Ana, tells her that she is dead to her. Blanca then cries as she goes to her vehicle and starts to drive off as Ana is frozen in despair. When Ana sees Blanca driving off, she runs after Blanca, but as she crosses the street, she is stuck by a truck and is thrown to the front of Blanca’s vehicle. As Ana falls to the street, Blanca quickly gets out of her vehicle and starts yelling to the people for help and to call an ambulance. After Blanca kneels over Ana shouting that she can’t die, Ana slowly turns to face Blanca as she recalls several moments dealing with Juan Pablo and the various family members.

At Cklass, Julieta yawns and drinks water. She looks over at Luz, but things get fuzzy, so she tells Luz that she is feeling dizzy and nauseated. When Luz comments that this has happened to her once before, Julieta wonders if she is pregnant…

Comments:
Rgv Chick, thank you so much for this fun recap. I take it you used to write bodice-rippers and have moved on to modern romances? :-)

I never know what the writers of this show are going to serve up, this one was lots and lots of romance, and cookie making, interspersed with a little Bruno, Tulio, and Ana. And Dave, of course.

And the Hermonsters. I have come to enjoy these two, especially Clarissa. This is surprising as they were so very obnoxious at first, at the Musi formal party. I think it's partly Clarissa's voice.

Tulio did look out of place having dinner with Audifaz and family, including Rebeca. He even seemed to have difficulty eating something. I wonder what this is about?

Thanks again Chickie, fun, fun, fun!

Um, all fun except for the part at the end with Ana. I don't know what the outcome of that will be, and don't want to say anything further until we see how it ends up.

Very entertaining recap! Thank you, RgvChick.

The “little stick people” design that we see in the credits is part of the design that ”Dabriel” uses on the boxes. It all makes sense now. I like when attention is shown to continuity and detail and those little stick people seemed odd and out of place until now.

I wish Marisol would get the message already: Xavi would be happy baking bread! I am so glad she is not leaving Ignacio off the hook.

It looks like Blanca will definitely forgive Ana now (that she ended up on the hood of her car) provided she does not die first.

Somebody here mentioned a while back that Julieta would adopt Dave and probably end up pregnant. Congrats on your prediction because it sure seems like we are headed in that direction considering things are so upbeat at this point with Julieta and Robert.

RVG Chick: The Buji Mussi Sisters are just that..... Buji & annoying!

Jarifa: Daniela & Gabriel need to elope & quickly.

Andy: Luz is PREGGERS! Who was she getting her freak on with ?

Steve, I would love to see them elope and come back to the families still arguing about the then no longer needed wedding.

Thank you, Rgv Chick. Love abounds indeed. Lovely honeymoon scenes as well as your description.

It is nice to see a loving couple on their honeymoon with their child. Not common in telenovelas, which usually end on a wedding. With Julietta's pregnancy hints, are they getting ready for even more happiness? How much can they take!

Rgv Chick, "They continue their lovemaking amidst the candles which burn as their ardent passion consumes them". I'm in awe. I was going to ask if you wrote romance novels in a previous life but Andy's "bodice rippers: is so much better! :) Excellent summary.

"They hug as they repeat the words they so love to hear" and "like they’re playing tricks (ahem, clears throat, yes, Frida…tricks :-)" were among my favorites.

I was outside much of last evening trying to sweep and clean (as I can't shovel) so missed most of this. Seeing how action packed this was, I am truly sorry I did.

For whatever reason, the strange dinner party touched me. Audi and Polita can brighten up the darkest day, don't they? I loathe Tulio personally but he is good to stand by his brother.

“Xavi grabs her and kisses her, though she pulls away and runs off”. Good heavens Mari. Forget the man is thoughtful, caring and nice. Have you LOOKED at him? So frustrating. Now that he has declared his love and how far he will go to prove it, what will she do??

"When Blanca shares that she still has much anger toward Ana, Imelda advises that though Ana did a terrible thing, when one forgives, the benefit is not for the other person, the biggest benefit is for oneself who is capable of forgiving". The right sentiment voiced strongly. Still, Blanca's heart was shattered and the shards are piercing. I could not forgive.

That said, the writers came up with the only plausible solution - Ana and Blanca involved in a no fault accident. "It looks like Blanca will definitely forgive Ana now (that she ended up on the hood of her car) provided she does not die firs" was spot on Jarifa.

"With Julietta's pregnancy hints, are they getting ready for even more happiness?" We can only hope Lucio.

I enjoyed the romance between Julieta and Robert. Every now and then I seem to see a very slight smile on Zuria's face. I always wonder, do the actors enjoy such scenes, do they hate them or do they have fun with them. I suspect the last answer might be the right one here.

Rgv Chick, how many new "kids" did you end up with? Hope all are doing well. You must be frantically busy so thank you for taking the great care and effort to compose this superb summary.

Diana

Thank you, Andy, Jarifa, Steve, Lucio and Diana! I was pressed for time writing this recap, glad you all enjoyed it. Diana, on Wednesday you said I had my hands full with 4 kids...well, I have every body part full with TEN kids...and counting! ARGHHH!

Andy, I had to look up bodice-ridden so that should give a clue as to my experience with that type of novel--NONE! LOL And while they are completely obnoxious, i too have come to enjoy the scenes with the Hermonsters; their expressions are priceless....great actresses!

Jarifa and Diana, if Mari passes up her chance with Xavi, then she deserves to get stuck with Ignacio...hopeoing she doesn't!

Steve, I agree about the eloping, but I would still love to see Dani in a wedding dress.

Lucio, it truly was nice to see the family on the honeymoon. I really was happy to see Dave interacting and enjoying himself with the other children.

Diana, "the writers came up with the only plausible solution - Ana and Blanca involved in a no fault accident." and Jarifa ""It looks like Blanca will definitely forgive Ana now (that she ended up on the hood of her car) provided she does not die first" I need not say more.

10????

Bless you RgvChick...Best of luck with keeping the young ones fed and happy.

I can only imagine how busy you are...

Diana

RgvChick, you are one busy lady. Thanks for spending quality time with us here. You may have been pressed for time, but the recap was wonderful.

Steve: Luz is pregnant? I missed that, but I believe she is married so it would be not so strange, if true.

Diana, I also wonder about actors enjoying, or not, love scenes. I think they must try to. TV and movies are quite different from stage acting, TV is all about close-ups and faces. And what's not to like? :-)
I could kiss most any of the women in this TN and somehow manage a little smile. Here's one now 8-)

Rgv Chick - Thank you for your recap! This episode might have been titled Frisky Business - Part 2. I was with Andy Banda on the bodice-ripper thing, because that part of your recap was written so romantically that it would fit in one. Just sayin', you know, although I've read a few, in the past, for historical purposes, of course. LOL

Eugenio is a lot nicer after his horns have been trimmed. ;-)

Juli's dreams might have been forecasting lots of kids in the future, what with all those suitcases full of toys?

My money is on her being pregnant, especially because she woke up and both her hands were over her stomach. That's a standard telenovela "tell".

This is NOT a spoiler, just a guess, I have absolutely no idea how this story ends --- but, Ana's life seemed to be flashing across her mind and that could be a sign she will die. Hopefully not.

"Imelda advises that though Ana did a terrible thing, when one forgives, the benefit is not for the other person, the biggest benefit is for oneself who is capable of forgiving. "
OH, GOOD GRIEF!!! I just hate to admit Imelda is right, once again.

"Tulio . . . . . seemed to have difficulty eating something. I wonder what this is about?"
Polita's cooking?

Another excellent recap, Rvg Chick! With everything else on your hands right now, I don't know how you do it. It seemed to me that there were an awful lot of flashbacks in this episode, and that until Ana's accident, this tn really seemed to be slowing down. I'm so glad Dave found some friends. I was a little surprised that a burn specialist would have lit candles in his hotel room. :) Whoa! Julieta is almost certainly pregnant. She has all the tn symptoms and then some! Her feeling "different" on the honeymoon may be the first clue. And whoo! The meaning of Julieta's dream is not necessarily bad. Yep, I just knew that Xavi would choose Marisol over his career. As someone who has been famous, he may see the emptiness of fame as compared to personal relationships.

Doris., "Tulio . . . . . seemed to have difficulty eating something. I wonder what this is about?"
Polita's cooking?

That's funny! And possibly true considering that she has done very little cooking, just filling Tupperware with goodies from downstairs.

Cold here in the Frigid Northeast. If the temps keep dropping I'll have to reread RgvChick's recap :-)

Thanks RGV!!!

Audi and Polita are such big sweethearts. What they don't know (because they weren't present) was that Tulio threatened to have everyone thrown out of the building, including themselves. Tulio doesn't deserve such graciousness and neither does Polita's mother.

Lots of flashbacks. Realized that lady singer at wedding (of the theme song) is Gabi's friend Sam.

Dave should have mountains of sunscreen on his burns while outside.

Just like Sex and the City, Juli preggers after adopting.

I hope Ana doesn't die because Blanca will never forgive herself.

Sorry but still don't believe the Xavi/Mari storyline. Being an artist doesn't ever go away, especially once you have tasted fame and believe in your talent. I can't see it lasting long term him working making bread.

Linda's separation from Bruno will do her a world of good.

I love Clarissa. Her voice is too funny. Linda was provoking just as much as the hermonsters. I think both families should put together proposals on clearly defined topics and present them to Gabi and Dani to choose what they want. I too find it odd that Amalia would be a bridesmaid since she is an Aunt.

Oh how I want to see Dani in a wedding dress!

Thank you, Doris, SpanProf, Carvivlie and everyone else who is keeping the conversation going!

I think everyone agrees and is SO looking forward to Julieta being pregnant; that certainly would be icing on the cake. Again, not a spoiler just super wishful thinking :-)

Doris, good point on Julieta having both hands on her stomach when she woke up. I totally missed that! Spanprof, I agree, that "different" feeling was definitely the first clue, but I was wondering if she hadn't felt like that with her first pregnancy OR could it be that this pregnancy will be a successful one???

Carvivlie, good observation on the singer being Gabi's friend Sam. I missed that too! That's certainly why this patio is so helpful...people bring out things that pass others by or they bring up different perspectives and insights!

Thank you, Everyone!!

Let me echo RgvChick's comment "That's certainly why this patio is so helpful...people bring out things that pass others by or they bring up different perspectives and insights!"

Carvivlie provided a few, "Realized that lady singer at wedding (of the theme song) is Gabi's friend Sam." being one. It went right by me. I wish I had noticed because I am impressed with this TN's considerable attention to details. Are the writers actually paying attention to what they write? Wow!

I didn't remark on it, but it did also occur to me as I watched that Dr Cooper should be careful about Dave's damaged skin while spending so much time out in the sun. All of them should. Especially as this TN has been so good about PSA's.

I understand so much more after reading the recaps and comments!

"Tulio . . . . . seemed to have difficulty eating something. I wonder what this is about?"Polita's cooking?" - HA doris!

"I hope Ana doesn't die because Blanca will never forgive herself" - so true Carvivlie!

"I was a little surprised that a burn specialist would have lit candles in his hotel room. :) Whoa" - spot on SpanProf!

Thanks Andy for "...Dr Cooper should be careful about Dave's damaged skin while spending so much time out in the sun. All of them should. Especially as this TN has been so good about PSA's".

Fun and wisdom from the patio. Great comments everyone

Diana

"I hope Ana doesn't die because Blanca will never forgive herself."
You are so right!!!! Live, Ana, please live! Otherwise Blanca will spend the rest of her life blaming herself for Ana's death. Nooooooo!

Sunscreen.....I thought of that, too, and figured they were all SPF'd up in the sun. Dave probably had SPF 100 on those scars, new skin and all. Too bad that was not brought out; great opportunity for a PSA on sunscreen.

Thanks, Rgv Chick. I missed so much of this last night.

Julieta then tells Dave that she loves hearing him call her “mother.” Dave also loves hearing her call him “son.” They hug as they repeat the words they so love to hear.

Ah, such a cute scene.

Eugenio referring to Gabe as “oso.” Ha! Is he finally starting to catch the humor of his future son-in-law?

Jarifa, thanks for the info about the “little stick people” design. As Mi Marido comes to a close, every night I've been trying to figure it out.

The only other TN I've watched with Zuria Vega was Un Refugio para El Amor and she was gorgeous in that one, but she's downright glowing in this one and I love her clothes. I want all her slacks.

Yes, it's best for Blanca to forgive, but honestly Ana watched her anguish for 34 years. I just can't see Ana sitting at the Corsega family dinner table again.

Niecie, if Blanca does forgive Ana, I hope that she wishes her well and Lets it and her go with that. Forgiving her doesn’t mean she needs to be friendly with her again. ITA no Córcega dinners for her!

But what does the family do with Tulio? He is blood and not so easy for Imelda, at least, to say goodbye to.

If Tulio wants in, he knows what he has to do: cancel the debt.

Tulio hid JP for 34 years too. Money can't buy those years back. He is worse than Ana.
