@Hombre - I too originally thought that Emilito was quite possibly Juanjo's child, but I recall someone saying that the timeline wouldn't work, that Aurora was away from JJ for too long before she became pregnant. I don't recall the details, but the argument seemed convincing. But somehow I'm still harboring hopes that Emilito turns out to be Juanjo's.

@Spanish Student - I burst out laughing at your wonderfully understated "Susan asked Aurora if she noticed anything odd about Rob the last time she saw him. She said - no, he brought us a gift...he was nice to me. Hmm."

Sangre

Juanita, I laughed out loud too when I read it (Spanish subtitles). I'm usually too busy struggling with the Spanish to catch the writers' clever wordplay.

Candido returned just when Juanjo needed a friend-ally.
One step forward for Cris and Leo.
3 episodes left. Time for Rob's long list of crimes to be exposed.

Sangre 56 1/2

JJ and Aurora are hot on Fidelio's tail when they get pulled over, he gets away, Susan rips on them for interfering, Aurora has pic of the license.

Cris grabs a drink and a machete to go looking for his grandson, Meche puts the brakes on that.

Sere comes for her check, Anita tells of Fidelio, the pedophile, prison friend of JJ, enough says Luis.

Rob is hanging pretty tight to Aurora, never missing a chance to undermine JJ and always being updated.

JJ (where is he) sees another guy from Ivan's gang, follows him to Fidelio, (a ratty basketball court like where things happen in prison) calls Susan who brings him in.

Rob closes his laptop when Aurora approaches, she opens it and it's a site about Fidelio and she sees what he is capable of, Rob rushes off to another room, breaks down and cries, I try to be strong, Aurora can see that he is suffering just like she is.

Nat brings Meche some lasagna, Paloma on her laptop, Paco calls Nat, she blows him off, tells Meche about their problems, Paloma knows but won't tell who it is, Meche tells her she has been there many times.

Susan brings in Fidelio, he and JJ clash, JJ calls Aurora with the news but Rob answers her phone, she's sleeping (not), so JJ tells him.

ok Fidelio is clean, he's staying at the foundation where Candi is, they had a charity event at the time of the kidnapping, the Reverend has pics, says he and Candi are his best examples of how one can change, Susan lets him go.

Fidelio calls Edgar (this is the guy that had a slave crew they hired earlier, right?) and lets him know what happened, later we see them at the warehouse with a group of young scared girls taking pics, and the baby won't quit crying, and is that the Reverend there too?

Sara calls Rob, who plays his part but cuts it off when Aurora shows.

Leo has printed up a bunch of flyers and printed Emilios pic on T-shirts for people to wear, Cris looks impressed, he takes some to pass out.

Sere is back/still dancing at the club and sees Fidelio and Edgar, hmm, next up is the Caribbean Cyclone.

it's been a long day, Ernesto and Susan head for the door when Candi squeezes in, he has been keeping an eye on Fidelio, who wasn't where he was supposed to be, checked his room and found a sweater of Emilios.

Susan shows Aurora and Rob the sweater, yep, her mom embroidered Emilio's name on it.

Sangre 56 2/2

JJ is with Candi when he somehow connects that if Fidelio is hanging with Edgar.., he heads to the warehouse (Edgar used before ??), and hears a baby cry, they call Susan but he won't wait, there is a noise and it looks like Candi draws their fire and them away as JJ goes in, oops, Fidelio has a gun to his head, JJ's prison smarts come back as he takes out Fidelio without breaking a sweat, but Edgar puts a bullet in his chest, (and will we ever see Candi again)

with sirens approaching they set the place on fire, but Susan's guys have it surrounded a gunfight breaks out, JJ comes to and goes for the girls and baby, Ernesto suggests waiting till they are out of ammo, but Susan is not waiting with JJ inside, she rushes them and gets Fidelio, Edgar gives up.

Paco comes for a shirt and Paloma drags him off to her room to try it on, she can't resist a kiss, Meche watches, who meets them downstairs and is totally disgusted, how could you do this, sickos, Paco agrees, she is right, it's over, he wants to save his marriage, Meche slaps him and kicks him out.

next she totally rips into Paloma, they are both crying as Cris walks in, they don't say.

(I'm starting to see Meche as such a strong woman, she is going to put all of the pieces back together and her family, come hell or high water)

Aurora visits JJ at the hospital (where's Emilio?) he helped those girls she says, yes but I don't seem to be able to help the ones I love.

at the station we learn the baby wasn't Emilio, and the testimony all agrees, there never was another baby, so,,, and if no one can place the sweater being on Emilio or in the diaper bag, hmm, it must have been planted, and by a close family member.

Susan shows up at Meche's mansion, the gangs all there (except JJ) she wants some answers (with all the suspects in the room), she'll start with Rob...

Sangre

Muchísimas gracias otra vez, deb. Things are really beginning to come together. Meche may finally have put a stop to the fling between Paco and Paloma. I liked Meche's pointing out that Paco's son Luis is older than Paloma.

And things are starting to go south for Roberto, at least I hope so. He's weaseled out of so many evil doings before, but with only three more episodes to go, I think he may not succeed this time. Susan and Ernesto have come to the house to ask questions, and Susan says she'll start with...Roberto. They exchange stares.

Perra Anita was in her usual nasty form tonight. The only negative thing I can think of regarding Luis is that he's still married to her.

Is it possible that Crisanto is softening toward Leo? My beanie fell off a couple of times tonight. I may need a stronger one to deal with so unbelievable a transformation.

Juanita: I see that Fernanda Castillo's new TN will be debuting soon!

Sangre

Thanks again, deb! Your recaps are always clear and unbiased!

So Sere is still an exotic dancer. It really doesn't fit her personality. She stared at Fidelio but I don't recall her ever seeing him.

Rob was shadowing Aurora during those critical first 48 hours to plant seeds of doubt against Juanjo, but a real dad would have hit the pavement with Leo and friends. Rob's like an evil alien mimicking human emotions...deceptive to the core.

Truly enjoyed Meche putting Paloma and Paco in their place. Paloma foolishly considers herself a champion for victims yet she showed zero decorum or respect for boundaries (Natalia's) for over a year. She shouldn't get off so easily.

Juanjo has rescued Leo and was shot trying to rescue Emelito. He helped out away corrupt cops/criminals while in jail and helped save victims of trafficking. It's time for Cris and Meche to realize he's not a murderer. And time for the video of Rob tampering with Juanjo's car to be found.

Spanish Student

Sangre

Spanish Student, I LOVE your description of Rob: "Rob's like an evil alien mimicking human emotions...deceptive to the core." Perfect!

And yes, it's "time for the video of Rob tampering with Juanjo's car to be found." ¡Ojalá!

DEB:

YOU..GOT THE CONNECTION..!!! you called it..!!! you nailed it!!1

THANKS for reminding us about ..******Edgar the slave over seer and farm worker supervisor!!

OMG..!!..he is the CONNECTION TO ROBERTO.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spanish:

SERENA was looking at the farm overseer Edgar????? she saw him before??!!..at the harvest...

ROBERTO is the Moriarty of the SANGRE.[ hot -bloody-mess]..but juan aint no Sherlock Holmes!!

Susan ,you need a BIG BREAK..!!COME ON DOLARES' SON AND THE LAPTOP..!!

Paloma , I hope lovey dreadie-Jordan comes back, or you make a smoothe move with Ernesto...

Sangre

thanks all!

Hombre, I was thinking the Scopolamine was on the map, that when they unfolded it, poof, Juanjo got a dose in the face.

alien Rob, ha!

I think this will come down to what they are not showing us, because I see no connection between Rob and the kidnap, so far.

as to who would he trust with Emilio, and I think he does care, it's kind of a package deal, since Sara is away, (hmm, would Emilio be with her), Rob's only other friend is Anita and I don't think she could hide that from Luis although she may be helping.

has anyone checked the daycare?

Sangre

deb and Halimacandy, thanks to the two of you, we have the connection to Rob! deb, you pointed out that Edgar was the boss and slavemaster of the vineyard workers whom Rob had arranged to hire. And Halimacandy, you made the connection explicit: "OMG..!!..he is the CONNECTION TO ROBERTO.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" And if we put all that together with the priest's being a fraud...

Question: how does Rob know all these criminals and get them to work for him?

Sangre:
Yes, I also love that description of Roberto; mimicking a human, evil to the core. Will we get some satisfaction tonight or will we have to wait until Monday? There is so much yet to be discovered! How does Roberto know all these criminal? Was the "slavemaster" killed in the raid?
Bella

Sangre

Bella, the slavemaster surrended to Susan after Fidelio was killed.
Looks like Rob's co-conspirators will help bring him down as the police are now looking for Reyes -- who knows about Rob's murder(s) and was paid to kill Juanjo. And he never misses an opportunity to check Rob so he'll probably betray him in a heartbeat.

Spanish

Sangre:
Gracias Spanish Student. Thanks for claifying. Wasn't the slavemaster contracted by Roberto to work in the Bodega? That connection did not come to light when Susana questioned him. Now it looks like Reyes will bring Robertob down, along with Dolores and Sara, as it looks like Sara is realizing that she is being played. There is no fury like a woman scorned. Isn't the woman with Reyes the one who set Aurora up for the intended rape, while Juanjo was in prison?
Bella

Sangre 57 1/2

Susan questions all, but doesn't get much, no one can place the sweater, but Aurora does say he out grew it, and also Rob still has keys to Meche's place.

Ernesto has found the van Belkis talked about, and inside the clothes Emilio was wearing that day.

Cris tells the press he is offering $50K for finding Emilio, (Susan sees the it on tv and rolls her eyes) and soon they get a call, Sonoma, and they are all out the door, wait another call, St. Helena, they'll split up, wait another call... and I guess they had a busy night, but wait, in the mail is a ransom demand, cell phone, no cops, and a call asking for $500K, wait how do we know you have Emilio, and they are sent to the big fountain in the park, hmm, it's Emilio's cross Meche gave to him that day.

JJ is out of the hospital and Natalia tells him to quit scaring them.

and now the scramble to raise the money, Cris calls Negron but he is nowhere to be found, and only $15K in that account, Negron must have taken the money, but Rob has $150K and all together they are $200K short, Aurora is on it and visits the Montiels, yep, they can raise it.

and Rob seems to be happily shredding credit account statements.

Nat asks Paco if something is wrong, Mike arrives, he has Paloma's resignation.

Cris, Rob and Aurora are out in the woods, leave the money by a tree and take off, but we see JJ is there too.

Belkis checks the money, signals Hugo her pimp it's ok, and we hear sirens, they are busted, but wait, the investigation shows they don't have Emilio, and never did, what?

wow Nat comes to Paco, she is ready to forgive him, she doesn't want to know why or who, she just wants to think of their future, Paco spills, he is in love with Paloma, wow, Nat kicks him out, when he looks for his keys, she blasts him with them.

Ernesto figures it's the same person that planted the sweater and sent the ransom note, and thinks it's to mislead them, Susan gives him an A, and little by little they are slowly closing in on him.

they locate the store where the cell phone was bought, the owner doesn't remember, they show him some pictures, Cris nope, Rob nope, nope, wait this guy has been in here, they leave and he calls Rob, I pointed out the guy you told me too.

Sangre 57 2/2

Rob talks to Sara (in Tijuana), Emilio is there too, she so misses him, if only that judge had granted him custody, well we'll soon be off to your new job in Australia.

Reyes (Rob's dirty tricks guy) gets Sara a tv and his novia (Zenovia, and I remember her for setting up the rape of Aurora) shows up, does Rob know, yep, he sent you presents.

the press are stalking Aurora and as she leaves Rob is with here and holding her close gives the press a statement, and a plea to bring their son back safe and sound, mommy and daddy won't rest until they find you, Aurora is hot, why did you do that like we are married.

Sara is hot too, why were you hugging her, I AM YOUR WIFE!

JJ swings by to chat with Dolores, she doesn't want trouble.

Nat is drinking, Joaquin and Luis comfort her, they know she and Paco are separated, but she gives the who, Paloma, "none are so blind as those who do not wish to see".

Paloma is also chatting with Meche, I love him.

Susan brings in JJ about the cell phone shop guy ID-ing him, never been there, and they are at each other, he throws out his phone and house keys, I'll stay here 24 hours and you go search, it's Rob he says, but I have NO evidence she replies, he tells her a story, Rob married Sara, what?

Video from the foundation where Fidelio was staying shows Zenovia slinking around with the sweater ??

Rob calls Reyes, safe to talk, he checks on Sara, asleep with Emilio, yep, Rob says the cops are moving in on him, time for phase 2, do it tonight...

"SANGRE":

HALIMACANDY: Roberto the Psychopath is finally going down ?

Sangre

Thanks, deb! You cleared up a lot about Rob's connections. All the minor players have reappeared for the finale, and if they live to tell their stories, all fingers will point to Rob. Is it possible to have so many dirty connections without being in the mafia? Also, I don't recall there being a direct link between Rob and the problems Juanjo and Aurora had while Juanjo was in prison. I guess Zenovia is the link.

I was surprised Aurora had to raise money. I thought they were worth a lot more...unless this was just an issue of cash on hand. Either way, the Montiels were there for them like family.

Rob was clueless to the consequences of speaking to the press. The parents are often suspects in a child abduction and Rob went on tv reeking of guilt. Now Rob and Reyes are planning 'phase 2' and it looks like Sara is the victim. I hope she outsmarts them...she's scorned, has her own connections, and is not afraid to play dirty...plus she has Emilito.

2 episodes to go and only Juanjo, of the 2 families, is certain Rob's behind it.

I won't be doing recaps for the last two shows next week, maybe someone new can give it a try.

btw, Kat jumped ahead and is doing current recaps of Sangre.

Sangre

Wonderful recap, deb! And great comments from Spanish Student and Bella. I don't have much to add. I was pleased to see that Luis was very disappointed in his father and let him know it. I can't really imagine a good conclusion to the Paco/Natalia/Paloma mess. Halimacandy keeps saying that she hopes Jordan will return for Paloma. Yeah, I guess that would be good. Paloma is mostly a very good person, and I'd like to see her happy, but not with viejo verde Paco. And Natalia deserves someone better than Paco.

Again, Rob seems to have thought of everything, even instructing the guy at the store what to say and whom to identify if the police question him. But with just two episodes to go, the world is sure to close in on Rob. Will he be killed? Sent to prison for life? Confined to a mental institution?

Thanks for the info about 5ft's recaps. The last time I checked, I had the impression she had given up on Sangre. Her recaps were great (they always are), but few and way behind. But now I see she seems to have caught up. However, given the spotty recaps earlier in the novela, it's hard to know whether to depend on her doing recaps for the last two episodes.

Needless to say, I'm sorry that you won't be doing them for the last two episodes. I think that earlier you had mentioned you wouldn't be doing the finale, but I'd thought you'd be doing Monday. Still, I'm extremely grateful for the terrific job you've done. I can try to put together something for Monday and Tuesday, but they probably won't be full recaps, just a few paragraphs. We'll see. Fortunately, several people have been offering insightful comments, and I hope they'll continue and add to whatever I'm able to post. Of course, if anyone else wants to do a recap Monday and/or Tuesday, that would be great! Please let us know.

Sangre
I'm thinking that Roberto must have been up to no good from early on in his life and connected with criminals. The series began, more or less, with Aurora turning down Roberto's marriage proposal, which was done by him in a manipulative way. We didn't know the extent of his manipulations at the time but obviously he did not quietly stand to the side when Aurora began seeing Juanjo again. We found out later that he tampered with the brakes of the car. He was also probably connected with the guys in prison that were harassing Juanjo. I hope we get to know more of Roberto's criminal history.
I agree that I do not see a future for Paco and Paloma. Maybe they will go off to Spain but it won't last. I hope that Anita's role in Aurora's accident is revealed as she is the one who told Roberto where the clinic was. I think she and Luis will divorce and Juanjo and Luis will take over the Bodega. The other Bodega will be run by Meche, Aurora, Leonarda and maybe Serena but the two bodegas will work together. I don't see redemption for Crisanto.

Sangre:

Thank you for another great recap, Deb!

I can't imagine how the writers could end the Paco/Paloma story in any happy way, so maybe Paco has to die saving someone, or maybe leave the country. As for Crisanto, I still think if he goes to jail, he could eventually be forgiven.

I'm so happy that we have intelligent cops Susan and Ernesto, doggedly putting together the leads. Of course they're also getting help from JJ, who never wants to sit around. I liked when Roberto tried to blame things on JJ, and Aurora said no way! She'd definitely "put her hands in the fire" for JJ. Sorry, Rob!

Roberto really is a master at nefarious plans, he's already gotten away with blaming JJ for the original accident, blaming Aurora for turning on the gas in the plant which caused Dimas's problems, killing Wilmer, blaming JJ for over medicating Emilito, tricking Sara with a fake marriage, stealing money from Crisanto in numerous ways, etc. And it almost always works! So I can't wait to see what his "Phase 2" of his master plan is.

Sangre

Many thanks to the dedicated recappers - Deb, Juanita, Halimacandy, and anyone I missed. I'd be lost without the summaries and insightful comments.

Juanita, I miss a lot of details reading Spanish subtitles, but I can certainly comment and/or fill in the blanks as needed.

Muchas gracias, Spanish Student. I always look forward to what you have to say. I suspect you may underestimate just how helpful and insightful your comments are.

Sangre

I'm going to miss Roberto, his fidgeting, twitching, taser flopping, and his sickeningly sweet smile, a most interesting villain, more a nerd than anything, but always a step ahead, and in plain site.

that other recap said Sere called Juanjo with the info Fidelio was with Edgar, anyone recall this, I like her, hate to see the old gang break up.

did anyone make out the connection to Hugo and Belkis trying to get the ransom, what sealed the deal was the necklace Meche gave to Emilio just before the kidnap which Rob must of had, and why aren't they squealing on him.

does anyone have any interest in the new novelas?

Deb: I'll be watching "Al Otro Lado Del Muro" starring Marjorie de Sousa & "Enemigo Intimo" starring Fernanda Castillo.

Lado

deb, I'm planning to give Al Otro Lado del Muro a try. The Latin Times posted a synopsis in English, and I've posted a link to it on the upcoming Telemundo page that will appear at 8 PM tonight. But there's no reason I can't also post it now: Otro Lado synopsis

If this novela fails to appeal to me, I may not watch any. I don't like to come in in the middle, so José José is out, and I'm not tempted by the grim narco novelas Telemundo has been offering at 10 PM. Of course, I'll probably make an exception when they offer the sequel to La Reina del Sur, though I suspect they'll mangle it. But the original was so amazingly good, I'll have to try the sequel. However, I guess that won't be for a while.

I watch these novelas primarily to improve my feeble Spanish, and I find it a lot more fun when there are good discussions going on here. Thus, I'm hoping I'll like Lado and that others will as well. What about you?

Lado
I'm in for sure!
Bella

General

Juanita, neither one sounds that good to me, but I will probably give them both a try.

Jose Jose, too much screaming, drinking, and upsets for my likes.

Lado.

Maid en Manhattan was my first novela and the only one I've seen with Litzy (missed Señora Acero). Her characters are similar in both novelas...mother leaves MX which child(ren) expecting a better life with her husband in the US. I'll give a try.

Spanish Student

Telemundo New Shows

Will definitely give both of the new shows a try. It's more likely I'll stick with Lado.

I can't take too much of the narco stuff but I'll tune in from time to time to see who is still alive. That's what I've done during multiple seasons of Sra. Acero and El Senor de los Cielos.

Like Juanita, I'm looking forward to La Reina del Sur 2. LRdS 1 was one of the best ever--I wonder if they will run it again before 2.

"ENEMIGO INTIMO":

Dondi356: I know Halimacandy is going to be excited to see Fernanda Castillo in this TN.
