Papa a Toda Madre #23 2.15.18: If Two Snakes Kiss, Do They Poison Each Other?

Or Fabian Shows Us What He is (Truly) Made of

Mauricio tells Renee that he knows she doesn’t like Kika. In fact, he could say she’s jealous. He runs out as Renee huffs and looks at Anifer, who shrugs.

At home, Veronica asks Tono to please clean the house a little for their guests. Tono nods but wonders who is going to cook. He suggests they order take out and Veronica finally agrees as Tono doesn’t know how to cook well. Veronica then asks him to please behave, so her boss sees how close their family is, but the dinner doesn’t guarantee that he will be hired. Tono understands and offers to tell his best jokes to see if her boss lightens up. Veronica laughs and nods.

The next day, Mauricio tells Fabian that Kika is beautiful, sexy, and even gets along with Anifer. Fabian asks if he trusts her, and all she says, and Mauricio is sure she is the persons she says she is. Fabian is still unsure, as it seems Mauricio likes Kika for other things, and not business, but Mauricio takes the hint and assures Fabian that he will separate business from pleasure.

At the hospital, Baldo demands to know why Jorge is still there when the doctor comes and announces that Yuriria has woken from the coma and wants to talk to her children. Jorge hopes this shows them the power of prayer but Baldo scruffs and walks away with Lili.

At home, Veronica gives the house a once over and is happy to see Tono has cleaned up well and they have dinner all ready to go. Tono tells her that he is improving and Veronica rewards him with a kiss. Veronica then asks the kids to come down and asks Tania to change, because they aren’t going to ballet, and insists Carola stay locked in the bathroom. However, they convince her to let her run free but Veronica warns them that one wrong move, and she gets locked up.

Yuriria holds her children’s hands and asks them to be strong and brave and go live with Jorge when she’s passed. Baldo begs her not to make them, as they barely know Jorge, but Yuriria insists Jorge is a good man and they have no one else. He is also their father. She asks them to promise and both of them do. Yuriria then caresses both their faces and tells them that the greatest love she had in her life were them. The children nod and Yuriria sighs once more before passing away. Lili and Baldo begin to cry and hug each other tight.

Veronica’s boss arrives and introduces his wife, Clementina, and daughter as Tono comes and introduces himself to everyone. He makes a couple of inappropriate jokes and then Veronica grabs his butt so he can stop. Tono then offers everyone something to drink but Carola announces that no one drinks in her household and it should be like that always. Tono immediately agrees and Clementina explains that her husband listens to their daughter more than her but the boss thinks she’s exaggerating. The daughter then introduces herself as Carola and Carola the dog comes down the stairs, running. She begins to bark at them. Tono introduces her as his children’s dog and he winces along with Veronica.

Kika is getting ready for her date with Mauricio at her hotel and vows to wow him from the first moment. When the doorbell rings, she goes to answer but is shocked to find Fabian. She is not, however, disgusted or displeased to see him.

At dinner, Veronica tells her everyone that it’s good they all have introduced each other but the kids want to introduce their dog. Veronica asks Carola if she wants something else to eat, as she barley touched her food, but Carola shakes her head and explains that she is allergy to gluten. Carola the dog also can’t stop barking and Tono demands she be quiet. Everyone is shocked to hear Carola and Tono tells her she misunderstood. Veronica tries to serve Carola something else but she is allergic to soup and Truffles, which Veronica announces is the name of the dog. The kids try to complain but Veronica quiets them immediately.

Kika lets Fabian inside the suite but wonders why he told reception he was Mauricio. Fabian knew she wouldn’t let him in her room otherwise but he is there to talk shop though Mauricio has no idea he’s there. Kika smiles and Fabian explains that he and Mauricio are like brothers and he needs to make sure she’s not lying to him. Kika nods and Fabian asks her to tell him everything about her life. Kika wonders if he has a professional interest in her or a personal one. Fabian smiles wide.

At their house, Renee assures Anifer that she will be back in school in no time, as it sucks to be locked up, but suggests they go visit the Barrientos’ children and play. Anifer reveals that Mauricio called them Satan’s spawn and Renee makes it clear that the children are nice and Mauricio made a mistake. Renee then goes to answer the door and it’s Mauricio with a chocolate Bundt cake. Renee sighs and lets him in and Mauricio makes it clear that Anifer had the cake idea. Anifer asks Renee to thank Mauricio and then asks Mauricio to give Renee a hug for her birthday. They hug for a second but Anifer wants a longer hug. They oblige and separate as Anifer declares them children.

As Flor wraps a gift, she asks Neron how he plans to re-open the shop. Neron shrugs but Flor asks him to think of something as they are living off her earnings but they aren’t much; she also chides him for getting into a fight in the place. Just then, Pablo comes and asks if he should go to visit Renee for her birthday with them, as Rodrigo may see them, but Neron saw him leave a while ago. Either way, Flor thinks Pablo should stop pretending to be mute, as he talks too much, but she can’t seem to shut up herself.

Over cake, Anifer tells Renee that she has a gift for her and runs to get it. Once alone, Mauricio asks Renee while she’s so bitter she doesn’t even celebrate her birthday. Renee thinks she’s not bitter but Mauricio is curious. Renee finally relents and admits that during her 4th birthday, Catalina told her she was going to meet her but he never came, and she later found out he left her when she was born. Since then, she hasn’t thought of her birthday as something to be celebrated. Mauricio begs to differ, as she turned out well, despite not having a mother, and she has a lot to celebrate. Renee nods and asks Mauricio about his birthday parties. Mauricio can’t answer as there’s a knock and Renee invites Flor, Neron and Pablo inside. Flor gives Renee her gift as Anifer comes back with a drawing of Renee blowing out birthday candles. Renee thanks him and Mauricio then goes to answer Kika’s call. Kika asks him to leave their meeting for tomorrow and Mauricio agrees before hanging up. Mauricio then asks if everyone had and liked the cake but they all roll their eyes.

Fabian is shocked that Kika cancelled on Mauricio but Kika declares that she is a modern woman and can date whomever she wants. She smiles but Fabian reminds her that he respects Mauricio and loves him like a brother but Kika reminds him that she has no commitments and anything that happens between them will be on him. Fabian smiles again and smells her neck before asking if she is going to tell him more about herself. Kika, however, knows what he really wants, because he’s been eating her with his eyes since they met. Fabian smiles again and Kika kisses him, deeply.

After dinner, Veronica clears the plates and Clementina declares that there is noting better than a home-cooked meal though Carola was allergic to everything. Carola then asks about the dog’s breed and the kids demand they call the dog by her given name but Tono asks them to be quiet. The tension at this table is palpable and Tono, always the “charmer,” can’t stop telling inappropriate jokes.

Mauricio tells everyone that Logatoys’ future is looking brighter and Renee hopes he keeps his promise regarding her studies. Mauricio promises he will when Neron stands up and declares that they need to leave because they were only passing by. As he goes, Renee asks about the shop and Neron revealed it has been shut down.

At this point in the night, the Barrientos’ children are getting antsy and keep screaming things at their parents. Veronica and Tono try to salvage the situation but “Truffles” won’t stop barking and Tono screams for Carola to shut up. Carola wonders why he said her name and children reveal that the dog is also named Carola. Tono tells all the children that they are going to bed but Ernesto wants his present for not telling Veronica that he left Fidel at the pool. Tono pushes them all up the stairs but Veronica demands to know what happened. Carola is shocked he would bribe his kids and Tono explains that he only tried to give them a small gift for behaving. Either way, they are going to be and he proposes a toast though no one raises their glasses.

Sometime later, Tono stares at the clean dining room table as Veronica sits down next to him and wonders how he left Fidel alone. Tono explains that he was tired but they can make it up to her all day tomorrow, because it’s Saturday, but Veronica tells him she has to work and goes to bed. Carola the dog comes down the stairs then and Tono caresses her and wonders why things and people have to be so complicated.

The next day, Neron asks Flor to hurry up getting dressed and change Milady but Flor thinks he can do it himself and goes back to get ready for the baptism. Neron then goes to Pablo and gives him a sport’s jacket so he can look presentable. Pablo thanks him but is disappointed Neron’s kids aren’t going to their sister’s baptism. Neron explains that he lied about Flor and Milady and told Socrates a horrible secret so he doubt they will. He does admit that he must make the first move and apologize, if he ever wants to see them again, and Pablo agrees. He then goes to look for his cell phone to call them.

At Veronica’s job, she follows her boss around the office, explaining that Tono is very responsible, usually, but her boss explains that the position he interviewed for very crucial within the company and he needs someone he can trust. Unfortunately, between Tono and the other candidates, her husband is under-qualified.

Neron calls Ciceron to ask if Socretes is still mad and to invite him to the baptism but Ciceron can’t go because he’s busy and asks Neron to give his brother some time. Neron can’t believe they aren’t going but Ciceron is more surprised that he cares so much about them as they barely saw him growing up though their mother always was there for them. Neron argues that he was always working to support them and they are ungrateful before hanging up.

After a moment, Neron remembers how he would get home late and barely have any time for his children. They would always welcome him and ask him to play with them or to show them their grades but Neron was too tired and just wanted to eat and go to sleep. Neron sheds a tear as he remembers all of this and tells Flor that he will change Milady, much to her joy and surprise.

Renee and Anifer discuss the robot blueprints and Renee explains that she is going to modernize the design and make it walk and move. Anifer notes that all the robots on TV already do that and Renee stresses that her project won’t be special enough. Anifer then leaves to go play before the baptism and Renee receives a call from Wilma, who explains that she now has only three days to submit her project via video submission. Renee can’t believe she has so little time to turn in her project or lose her spot completely.

Jorge arrives at the airport with Baldo and Lili and they ask him what he is going to do with and about them. Jorge is silent and walks away as they follow behind, slowly.

At the baptism, Neron explains to the priest that he is the father of Milady and the priest laughs because he thought he was the grandfather. Afterward, Neron names Renee and Pablo the godparents of Milady and the priest asks for the baby’s name. Flor tells him it is Milady but the priest doesn’t know where they got that name from and suggests some alternatives. Flor insists that it will be Milady Catalina, in honor of Renee’s mother, and the priest moves forward with the baptism.

At Logatoys, Kika tells Mauricio that the lawyers and Fabian are going to go over everything regarding her investment and then asks him if he trusts Fabian. Mauricio nods and explains that he is like a brother and, until Anifer appeared, his only family. Kika wants to know more about Anifer’s sudden and mysterious appearance but Mauricio wants to know about their high school days. Kika remembers perfectly well how Mauricio ignored her, though Mauricio doubts he did, and Kika smiles as Mauricio fills her ears with compliments. He then gives her a necklace, which Kika immediately accepts, and kisses her, passionately. After a moment, Fabian walks in and sees them. He slams the door to get their attention but they don’t move an inch.

At the Rodrigo’s and Rafael’s cul-de-sac party and lunch, Renee chides Neron for his old school attitude and asks him to behave or she be mad at him. Rodrigo and Rafael arrive then, hand-in-hand and welcome everyone. They also thank Renee for helping and she thanks them for including Milady’s baptism in the celebration. Neron begrudgingly thanks them too and Rafael goes to hold Milady as Flor thanks the boys as well. When Rodrigo puts his hand on Neron’s shoulder, he flinches, and only calms down when Rodrigo goes to play with Milady.

A few feet away, Veronica serves Tono lunch as Renee arrives to get some food. Veronica asks Renee why she looks so glum and Renee admits that her masters program is causing her stress. Veronica suggests she forget about it for now and enjoy the party.

As Rodrigo and Rafael play with Milady, Neron tells Flor that he wants to leave because he is uncomfortable around them. Flor begs him not to embarrass her and holds him tight. He tells her to stay if she wants but she holds him back and then asks her to make her a taco and he better not leave anywhere else. She then apologizes to Rodrigo and Rafael but they understand. Rodrigo then approaches Pablo and asks if he ate before directly him to the food table. Rafael then asks Flor id she wants a taco too and they go to the table.

Jorge drops off Baldo and Lili at a house he rented in the city and tells them that it will take a while but he promises to find them a new school and help them settle into their new reality. Baldo and Lili hate that he is still keeping their existence a secret from his other family but Jorge explains that his other children are smaller and are going through a tough time because he separated from their mother. Baldo reminds him that they lost their mother, forever, and Jorge understands a divorce doesn’t compare to death but asks them to be patient. Lili and Baldo, however, make it clear that they are only there because they promised their mother.

As the rest of the people eat, Rafael goes to invite Valentina and Samuel to lunch when Jorge arrives and asks him to stop inviting them places they don’t want to go before telling Samuel and Valentina to go inside. Rodrigo sees this and asks Rafael to come sit down and eat because they can’t force anyone to like them. As Rafael sits down, dejected, Neron stiffens because he is so close to “them.”

Fabian goes over to Kika and Mauricio and tells them they have a board meeting and must get going. Mauricio is shocked he was so rudely interrupted but leaves with Fabian as Kika answers a call.

Jorge sits down with his children and explains that he left in a hurry so he couldn’t bring them gifts. Samuel asks him why it looks like he cried and Jorge tells him he is just tired. After a second, Jorge reveals that something happened that will change their lives forever but it’s more about Logatoys then about them. Valentina nods and then reminds him that the school is hosting their PTA events next week and he will need to attend. Jorge promises to do so and then goes to answer the door. It’s Neron, who has come to invite Jorge to the lunch he is hosting in honor of Milady and not to welcome the “weird” ones to the cul-de-sac. Jorge is unsure but Neron insists.

Once alone, Kika tells the person on the other end that everything is going according to plan and Mauricio has fallen deeply in love with her. She promises not to rest until Mauricio pays for the pain and suffering he caused her and, when she’s done with him, he will be worse off than a pile of poop…

Thank you, Alfredo for another outstanding recap this week.

Toño really dug a hole for himself.

So, we now know that Kika is up to no good for sure on her mission of revenge and Fabián is not to be trusted. .

I loved Fabián walking in on Mauricio and Kika kissing.

How long until Jorge's two families meet?

Alfredo, thank you for another great recap, especially as you filled in some things that I missed!

So Kika turns out to be what I was hoping for, a Beautiful Evil Villainess. Good!

I was very happy to see Neron decide he wants to be more involved in his daughter's life. Maybe he didn't do it right the first time around but hopefully this time.

The scene of Yuri saying goodbye was a real tearjerker. Jorge better loosen up a little now, rigidity won't serve him well.

Interesting that Anifer got Mau and Renee to hug so easily :-)

Oh my goodness, another highly dramatic episode. I did have a premonition that Kika was a gawky, unattractive teenager, ignored by Mauricio, when she mentioned they had known each other in high school. This has been a plot point in a gazillion teenage movies. But our revenge-of-the-nerd villainess is certainly a knockout now. And evidently an equal opportunity lover. Shall we give her credit for "generosity" at least?

Winced a bit at Miss Carola's multiple alleged food allergies...there are several people in my family who are now claiming they can't eat gluten, can't eat any vegetables that are GMO, can't eat rice unless it's from California because of the arsenic, on and on and on, so nothing I fix "suits". Ready to go on a rampage with the cast iron skillet, a la Emilia!

Thanks for another great recap Alfredo. I'll have more to say after watching this. Yesterday was a tough day at the hospital visiting people who are ailing and I was wiped out last night.

Wonderful Alfredo. Thought the title was excellent.

There were some positives last night. "Mauricio begs to differ, as she turned out well, despite not having a mother, and she has a lot to celebrate" and "Neron sheds a tear as he remembers all of this and tells Flor that he will change Milady, much to her joy and surprise".

Anifer and Renee are proving that although Mauricio might still be selfish and self centered, but there is hope.

Neron will try and not repeat his mistakes with his sons. Second famililies often reap rewards by lessons learned with first families.

What could possibly go wrong with Vero's bosses daughter having the same name as their dog?? They were (almost) as humorless as Jorge, weren't they?

All Tono has to do is open his mouth, right Jarifa? Never, ever speak.

Andy, Yuri saying goodby had my eyes filling...

Whatever Mauricio did to Kika (albeit unintentionally) must really have been bad for such a vengence quest. The actress reminds me of Jacqueline Bracamontes and someone else (can't think who).

Milady sported several fetching hats and bonnets. Except for the christening, her smile was always firmly in place. At one point, Flor was holding her askew but that didn't bother the little tyke.

Anifer charms without saying a word. Look at the good these two children have managed to do so far. Together, they might rule the world.

So now Jorge has 4 children to raise. I suspect the kids will get along fine. Perhaps dealing with their inept father might bond them.

Continuing to offer love and support to everyone touched and devasted by the school massacre.

Alfredo, thank you!

Diana

Hi Judy. Our comments crossed.

"But our revenge-of-the-nerd villainess is certainly a knockout now". Perfect.

Diana

thank you , Alfredo. I don't know how you keep on producing these great recap, but I am grateful that you do.

With all that deep, soul kissing between the three, I hope that nobody has the flu. When I listen to Kika's sing sing baby voice, it reminds me of Italian somehow.HEre we go.... fasten your seat belts.NO smoking.

Tonto, indeed.

When Neuron was visiting REnee, I kept thinking, take the hat off the baby...you are inside !!!

Rodrigo reminds me of my dad when he was young. ...same hair and facial structure and body build....slightly different nose!

Judy, I have a relative who has "Multiple Chemical Sensitivity" You can't wear aftershave or deodorant which has any discernable odor around her, like in the same house. Her clothing must be washed in special fragrance free detergent, She is allergic to almost all foods except cashews and ice cream, it just goes on and on. Can't wear a watch, allergic to METAL. But is not allergic to CATS, which she has four.

Well, some people are just a project aren't they Kirby? When you live with 'em it can be wearing. Happy that she has those multiple cats for company.

A face only a Mother could love.

Thanks Mr. AAA. You manage the details of even the boring parts, kudos. I'd be "then xxx walks in...booooring...next !" but you cover it all. You should be with LooneyVision. You could replace a whole room full of newsbunnies.

I do like how we get some movement in this show. If Kika is doing all this because she didn't get her fair share of Mauricio manhood in high school, worms are eating her brain. The same ones, probably, which gorged themselves on Tonto's long ago.

Maybe Fakian was just testing Kika in the interest of his bro. Like checking a cake for poison, and eating the whole cake.

Too bad that body Mauricio carries around does not appear to be useful for anything other than viewing. I'd love to see him whip Fakian's butt, but I think he wears slipon shoes because tying shoe laces is just above his pay grade.

Veronica, Veronica, Veronica. Are you being paid byHomeland Security and the CIA to hide Tono in the witness protection program? I can think of no other reason.

Jorge rented a house to stash his secret kids? Another family move which could be accomplished with a backpack and a wheelbarrow. No furniture, pots and pans, food processor, coffee pot, sheets and towels. It appears Lawn mowers are not sold South of the border either, I've never seen one in a TN. EVERY Gringo has at least one.

So who was Kika talking to on the ?phone? And what is that pink monstrosity, a phone cover of some kind made by Garanimals? She must have been talking to her husband. Maybe Mauricio should Google her and try to verify her existance. Nah, takes brains.

So far, the two gay guys and the illegal are the best men in the show. Renee is nice too.

Kirby, just another instance of the magical Mexican fully furnished house/apartment.

Judy...you called it on KIka. Will she Kika both Maury and FAkian ?

And yeah, nothing left to eat. even innocent rice...arsenic. DOes CAlifornia have no arsenic in the soil ? I am tired of worrying about everything I eat. In fact, I am tired of worrying about many facets of modern Life.

Susy, just remember-----> the less humans have monkeyed with it, the more likely it is actually fit to eat.

Hoppy Fryday

Alfredo, I loved the title.

Good Morning!

Mr. AAA, you grace with yet another excellent recap...and the title...puuurfect!! Thank you for taking the time from you busy schedule to grant us such a great retelling of all the evens.

Well, Kika is out for revenge. What I would like to know is what Mauricio did or didn't do to make heer suffer for "years" without even having a clue as to who Kika was. Kirby, Kika was talking to her sister on that monstrosity of a toy phone.

Tono sealed his own fate, didn't he? that may be a blessing for Veronica; at least she won't have to be making excuses for his sloppy work and antagonistic jokes.

I too was glad to see that Neron is realizing how distant he was with his sons. Milady will certainly benefit and I do hope he finds a way to make amends with his sons.

Kirby, "Maybe Fakian was just testing Kika in the interest of his bro. Like checking a cake for poison, and eating the whole cake." You're probably right, but I think Kika was testing Fakian too. So I guess Kika is not involved in the other plot to destroy Mau. Wow, this guy has lots of people against him.

Thank you, Alfredo.

Jorge urgently needed to start earning some respect with Lili and Baldo. And he did the opposite. He showed them disrespect by, like Kirby said, "stashing" them in a secret house. I have no idea how Jorge is going to improve the relationship with the twins. The way he is going, things are only going to get worse.

The attitude with Rafael is also out of place. It is time to be humble. His "other" family is about to be revealed.

Susanlynn, my rice-o-phobes tell me there is LESS arsenic in the soil than elsewhere. I made the mistake of fixing them brown rice (supposedly healthy...NO! even more arsenic) and it didn't say where it was from. So suspect! ) Along with the suspect corn. Getting real close to just hanging up my apron and saying Order Out!

Judyb..I know that farmers were given all sorts of pesticides to spray which is why many farmers ended up with respiratory diseases. Farms around here are tested for arsenic before they are sold. So...brown rice is more dangerous than white now. I give up.

Lucio. ...Jorge is trying to continue to live a lie , but lies are almost always eventually revealed. I am glad that the twins have each other and seem close. They were raised by a good mother and mnasy turn out to be good role models for their half siblings.

Hey, don't the majority of these 'can't eat's eventually kill themselves in a suicidal fit of depression because they can't find anything fit to eat?

Like the cops who kill people because they were trying to commit suicide, and that's against the law.

just sayin..............

If Milady does not like her unique name when she grows up, she can go by the name Catalina, a loverly, traditional name. My soninlaw goes by his middle name.

I must say that this toy storyline is unique. I like the idea of Renee resurrecting the old robot project and creating a great robot to save Logatoys. Perhaps this is a smart woman theme instead of just a strong woman theme. #girlsaregoodatmathtoo

Had Dulce not pulled that stunt on Valentina at the hotel, I could almost forgive her, with her woofable looks and all, seeing the real Jorge now. When you do BAD things with GOOD intentions, the bad things are still bad.

He has had himself painted into a corner for a long time and he thinks if he just has a little more paint he could paint back out of it. wrong.

What was up with that weird pink phone?????

The writers of this TN are certainly working overtime to spice up what could have been a very sweet, but done a million times, story. They keep dropping little hints here and there about the plot against Mau, some subtle, some not so much, and some just bewildering. Like the message from the "University" that was onscreen for a few seconds only, and that I read only thanks to Rgv Chick. That raises many more questions than it answers.

There are other hints just so outrageous as to be either great fun and/or just totally, totally unbelievable. Other things, like who is/was Maria, were the DNA test and paternity test legit, etc., I don't have a clue.

I really, really, really want them to have good resolutions to the mysteries and not just a wedding planned. No offense to wedding lovers.
:-)

Hey everyone! Thanks Alfredo!!!

Baldo and Lily are definitely not going to take orders from Jorge. He will be tested to max. And not bringing them home? Leaving two grieving kids in an apt? So cowardly. When Yuri first told him about the kids he should have told Dulce and stepped up to be a father to them. He took the cowardly way out and now expects these kids to call him Dad? You have to earn that Jorge.

So now we have 5 kids without mothers--Anifer (supposedly), Baldo and Lily and Sam and Val. And Renee and Mau are motherless too. How depressing.

Big surprise, Kika isn't on the up and up. I guess Fab is in that category too now. Uh oh.

Carvivle...good points about all the motherless folks and Jorge dumping two kids who just lost their mother in an apartment in a new place. How old are the twins? How old are Val and Sam?

Yes, great point Carvivlie...Many without mothers here. And, I'm sorry to say, but the truth is most of the fathers are farily clueless and/or have a lot of growin up to do (Tono, I'm looking at you).

I was in my 40's when my mother passed. I don't know if you ever get over it. I can't imagine being so young and losing your mother. For Baldo and Lilly, that is all they had. And the more I think of Jorge hiding them, the more it bothers me.

"Tono sealed his own fate, didn't he? that may be a blessing for Veronica; at least she won't have to be making excuses for his sloppy work and antagonistic jokes". You said what I was thinking but phrased it better than I would have Rgv Chick. thank you.

Diana

Diana, yes, I guess you never get over losing your mother.

Will all these fathers be reformed in the end ?

And will the prejudiced characters adjust their opinions?

I forgot to mention earlier that I found Veronica's boss to be quite strange. His family too.

Susanlynn, IMHO, yes, yes, and yes.

Thanks, Alfredo.

So what school does Jorge plan on sending Baldo and Lily to? No idea what will happen, but TN rules dictate that Baldo and Lily run into Valentina and Samuel somewhere.

Thank you Alfredo, great job as usual! Some thoughts:

I think Jorge will probably take Baldo and Lili home with him. It will make for great drama to have four kids to deal with and fighting with each other. But it sure will be a shock for Sam and Val to find out they have older siblings.

As for Kika, she is definitely up to something and it's not good. Never trust a beautiful woman in a TN who wears such tight clothes. It's a trap, I just know it is. I want to tell Mauricio, "RUN, DON'T WALK TO THE NEAREST EXIT."

That dinner at the Barrientos was a hoot. I just laughed through the whole thing. Tono is so unpolished...and then the dog's name was the same as Veronica's boss's daughter. The daughter and the mother looked the same age too. Very strange family.

Lily and Baldo are around 16-17
Val is 14,I guess Samuel is a year or 2 younger than her.

I don't trust Fabian even a tiny bit.I have a strong feeling he knows all about Anifer's mom and how she died or where she is if it turns out she's alive.

Andy, I agree that Veronica's boss and family were strange...Renee's dress at the baptism was even stranger :-)

RGV Chick, I didn't notice Renee's dress at the baptism. I am going to have to go into the Univision videos and re-watch. That's what I get for making dinner during the TN. I was making albondigas. But I can see my TV when I cook, I just sometimes miss things like what someone was wearing.

Cynthia, you gotta see it. It looked like a white paper bag with a big blue bow painted on it.

Chickie, for me the dress was not a pop out, I never noticed it. I went back and took a look and it is a bit unusual, as you described and with odd neck and shoulder... somethings printed. Maybe Anifer designed it.
:-)

OMGoodness, Andy, that's exactly what it looked like...a pop-out dress! Does anyone remember those paper dolls that would come with outfits that we would "pop out" to attach to the dolls? Geeez! I'm dating myself!!! LOL

R G Veeee...and those dresses would have little paper tabs at the shoulders and maybe waist that you folder over to hold them in place?

YESSSS! Kirby!!! Those are the ones I'm talking about :-D

Oh goody goody goody. You're gonna make me pee my panties

OT: Every time I turn on the Olympics I think of what SusanLynn said about her Mom 'Watching like it was a Job.' and get tickled at myself. Get a snack, Sit down, "Punch IN", and get to work.

:-)
I meant "pop out" in another sense, but yes, I remember those paper dresses. My sisters would play with them. About myself, I prefer not to say.
:-)

These skiers are doing the 'Aerials' or something way up in the air, and the snow is forked up or something, and they are landing like a plane crash. It's great.

Breaktime's over. Bye

Andy you meant maternity? I thought circus.

Or maybe from Noches con Platanito

Kirby, I meant that it wasn't something that immediately caught my attention, but when I took a second look I saw that it was certainly different.

Oh OK. Thanks

The blue bow IS painted on

Andy, I knew exactly what you meant, but sometimes my mind just goes a little bonkers and a thought/memory is triggered by a a word or phrase :-)

Yeah, Kirby, I took a closer look; it was painted on. Maybe Andy is right and Anifer came up with that design...since Renee just had a birthday, it was Anifer's "gift" ;-)

The whole dress was just a (flour) sack dress with some fringe at the bottom, but everything around the neck and sleeves and the bow was just painted onto the fabric.
