"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

Daddy Casilas is BACK BABY!

"ENEMIGO":

My thoughts on last night's finale:

1.) Nemesio getting beheaded by Guillotina wasn't surprising. I also wasn't surprised Roxana FINALLY found out Nemesio had her parents whacked.

2.) Alex shoots Guillotina to death.

3.) Luis survived getting shot by Roxana ? Puma helping him escape.

4.) Daniel lives... Now he's in Miami, FL.

5.) The Padre-Cito gets whacked by Psychopath Buzzcut.

6.) Roxana refusing to accept Alex's apology. Damn! Tell us how you really feel.

"LADO":

HALIMACANDY: Looks like Sara Foster will get whacked.

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

HALIMACANDY: You're ready for this return tonight ?

Victoria: You've watched this TN before ? Looks like Daddy Casilas' enemies are upping the ante against the Casilas family & their allies.

Juanita: Whatever happened to Bill C ? Haven't heard from him in almost an entire year.

Lado

Well Steve, as usual, was useless. He didn’t outright disagree with J-Low that Eliza had beaten her up. And he didn’t manage, as I remember, to tell Max that Eliza had said that Jennifer told her Max was in on the whole plan to take Rodrigo’s bone marrow without her permission. It’s not that I want Eliza to take Max back. I just want Jennifer to suffer when Max lights into her for what she said to Eliza.

So, I suppose Joel will continue to believe Sofía killed his sister and is part of the child trafficking, even after she manages to get the hint across, staring right at the cameras, that the consulate was going to be swept for bugs.

And the Mean Girl who was trying to get Alo to engage in some girl-on-girl activity has probably had the other Mean Girl take a picture of the kiss to be distributed throughout the school.

I have no sympathy for Sara Foster. Instead of doing the right thing and possibly saving some other little girls from Cummings, she decided to get some money to buy alcohol. AND, she ordered champagne and lobster on Lorena’s nickel!

Lado

Oh, and Frida gets up at the karaoke bar and, after some urging from her U-Tube friends, sings the only song she knows. I don't know if she sang the whole thing because the minute she starts to sing FF>>>.

"LADO":

Novelera: Sara Foster should've stayed put in Dallas, TX. But NOPE: she wanted the $$$ & high-life of Los Angeles, CA, now she's going to pay with her life!

I wonder if that was Cummings' hired gun or Paula's hired backup thug pointing the gun at Sara ?

On Mean Girl #2: I KNEW it was a SETUP. She was just using poor Alondra just to have other Mean Girls distributing pictures all over the school.

On Joel: OMG. Part of me wishes Cummings, Ernesto or Paula just kill this IDIOT already. The audience knows Sofia is innocent of Irene's murder. Why in the Hell is this so-called Interpol Agent believing Lorena's lies or anyone else's about Sofia ?

You're right about Steven: he is USELESS & a coward of not standing up to his own sister. He's also complicit of what happened to Rodrigo, who will suffer health problems down the road.

I see no anvil for the Corrupt Doctor anytime soon.

Lado:

OMG, Novelera, you might be right about Alondra and that girl. And here I thought that we might witness a rare cute and romantic love story on this telenovela (the only other love story worth to be called a love story is Raquel and Santiago's, all the other couples are just the worst).

I must admit that I don't understand what is Lorena's plan regarding Sara? If she wanted her to testify against Cummings, she shouldn't have offered her money. Even the most incompetent prosecutor would destroy her credibility on the stand by mentioning that she was paid a million dollars to testify.

Steve is the worst! He was the only one that knew about Jennifer's criminal plans about Rodrigo and didn't warn her.

Irene

Lado

Yes, novelera, Frida apparently has just one song, and we hear it in its entirety far too often. I'm wondering whether the actress is the wife/girl friend/mistress of one of the novela's writers or producers.

Like Irene, I was hoping that Alo might finally have found a close friend (was the girl's name Kelly?). But I really didn't expect it to happen, since I recall that several episodes ago, Alo was watching with some interest the girl in the shower, and another girl, probably Grace, saw Alo watching. I was pretty sure that meant things weren't going to go well, and in last night's episode my fears were realized. Kelly signalled to Grace that Alo had apparently taken the bait. Sigh.

Another interesting thing from last night's episode is Sofía's overhearing Patrick tell Joel that Lorena could have planted the phone to incriminate Sofía. Geez, what a nutty idea. :-)

BTW, I will be recapping tonight's episode, though if it has as many flashbacks as we've been subjected to lately, I may do a lot of FF>>.

Senor

Steve!

No way sorry,,hate that show.

..but I hear..it has blown Univision Away in the ratings .. I hear Univision is filing for bankruptcy!

"LADO":

Juanita: You, Novelera & I all saw this coming with the Mean Girls plotting some sick twisted game with Alondra.

On Steven: Karma will catch up with him too. Big question is whether he loses his law license or goes to prison ?

Enemigo:

It was a very entertaining "final" episode. It also stretched credibility quite a bit, but that's okay. A bunch of things I couldn't totally understand, such as:
-how Luis survives getting shot in the chest a few times and walks out of there
-how Daniel survives getting shot in the chest a few times, and "days later", he's fine
-who was Daniel talking to at the end when he said "I've made contact". I guess it's Roxana, but huh?
-Did the drugs go through, or not? I thought I saw piles of drugs sitting at Nemesio's ranch, and the Feds got them. On the other hand, we saw the corrupt Americans wave through 3 big trucks
-I didn't understand why Alex was so slow to kill Guillotina, didn't he see that big machete in time?
-Why did Colmillo/Fang kill Orejas? Was Orejas too cowardly or something?

I really enjoyed Puma killing Colmillo.
I also find it amusing that Alex never wears a helmet, unlike all the flunky cops. Of course, they always get killed, and he's sort of invulnerable.
So I guess Roxana has known for a while that Alex is her brother? Or maybe not, she had to recover her memory from all the flashbacks?
As we had guessed, she's the Professor. Of course, since we never really saw her call "him", she would just report what he had ordered. She's really smart, and maybe she's working with Daniel now, but can she really blame Alex for being so tough on her in the interrogation? He was desperate to find the Professor, desperate to stop the killings, desperate to find his sister! But she's cut off her feelings (although I did some a few tears), to build her empire. She wanted to get that shipment of coke through, to get the money to buy the diamonds, or maybe to get that corrupt Senator on his way to be President. So she'd be super rich, and super powerful. But is that really enough? And if Daniel's with her, what about HIS moral compass. We'll have to wait for Season Two to find out.

"ENEMIGO":

Hombre: Looks like United States Senator Frank Tobias (D-FL) is on track to become POTUS in 2020 unless Alex & Co., can stop him.

Roxana has officially cemented herself as the female Aurelio Casilas: Drug-Lord.

General:

Looking forward to seeing the BIGLY recap of "EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS". Whoever does it will make it impactful.

Enemigo

ah Hombre, it was an entertaining "final" !!!

I could have been wrong about my earlier post on the merc with the customs guy being Alex's informant, but I don't think so, I think I was set up.

the 20 tons went thru the border under the customs guy watchful eye, I think he told his buddy all he needed now was to speak with his contact and get the money, when he dialed, a phone in dead Daniel's pocket rang.

(someone posted on twitter about the border crossing, Trump wouldn't like this)

and Roxy seemed convinced he was dead.

Fermin's 10 tons was stacked up at Nemesio's ranch, the Fed's got that now.

interesting that both Alex and Roxy killed Guillotina, I think it was the weight of the lead in his torso that toppled him.

but I figured that Alex being close by would have heard Nemesio's confession, and figured out Roxy was his sister, he would also have heard that Nemesio was there when his parents were killed as to why he didn't stop Guillotina.

Roxy on the other hand, how would she know she had a brother, that he promised to protect her, or even where they lived?

so Luis tells Puma that Roxy got away, but Tilapia tried to kill him, they head for the tunnel, (no clue how Roxy or Daniel got out) then he blows it, that's what the explosion was.

although when Puma killed Fang it looked like a hand grenade rolled out.

apparently Ears and Fang didn't like each other, maybe jealous of Madre's affections, I didn't notice it till they were escaping, Ears pushed Fang to the ground, not you.

Alex was crushed,

"call me Roxana", as she walks away...

Al Otro Lado del Muro .- .Capítulo 54 .Parte 1/2

After four or five flashbacks, we finally get to tonight's episode. Eliza and Karina are having a discussion. Karina tells Eliza that she is not ashamed of Eliza and the bakery, not at all. Eliza, in turn, assures Karina that she is very proud of her. But...she's worried about Karina's relationship with Julián. After all, he's Ernesto Martinez's son. It's possible that Ernesto is using him to get closer to us. When Karina objects, Eliza says simply that she feels Julián is not to be trusted. .As they're talking, there's a knock at the door. Carmen has arrived! Karina is delighted, Eliza a bit less so.

Paula and Cummings talk about Ernesto. Cummings wants to know whether he's still drinking heavily. Yes, he's still drinking, but there's something worse. He has delusions of grandeur, he thinks he's all-powerful, and that he's better than Paula, Cummings, even Don Carlo. Cummings says they'll have to bring him back down to earth. Paula tells him she'd love to get rid of Alejandra, but right now she can't. So she's getting rid of someone else who's a problem, Ernesto's daughter Alondra. Paula's doing to Alondra what she did to Ernesto's first wife, drugging her slowly at first, then more, until she went mad and then died.

We then see Alondra lying in bed, remembering with some pleasure her interchange with Kelly, which ended with Kelly kissing her. Alondra starts to send her a message apologizing and saying she was nervous, but she enjoyed...she pauses, and then decides not to send the message.

Eliza tells Carmen that she has ended things with Max. Carmen is ecstatic.

Rodrigo has ugly nightmares about the bone marrow operation. He calls out for his mother and tells her he's in a lot of pain. Carmen hears this as well. She demands to know what has happened to Rodrigo. Carmen then goes ballistic, and demands to know Jennifer's address. She accuses Eliza of doing nothing. Eliza informs her that she reacted exactly as Carmen has, that indeed she went to Jennifer's and slugged her. However, she also explains what Jennifer threatened to do, including having her deported and separating her from Rodrigo.

Ernesto comes to Alejandra's apartment. She tells him that Richard is about to return. Ernesto isn't worried; he's left his chauffeur by the door with orders not to let anyone enter. He then proposes to Alejandra--or rather, he simply tells her that she is going to marry him. Alejandra recalls Paula's telling her (i.e., Sofía) that Ernesto's decision was all Paula's doing, to further his political career. Alejandra tells Ernesto that he's crazy, and that she's not going to be converted into a second Sofía. Ernesto replies that it's a conspiracy of Destiny, of the Cosmos, to give him back the love of his life. Alejandra tells him again that he's mad, and she points out that his first wife met a tragic end and that things didn't end well with Sofía, either. Ernesto continues to insist that Alejandra will marry him. "I have no say?" she asks. No, replies Ernesto, we're both puppets of God. He takes off her wedding ring from Richard, puts on a much fancier one, and announces that "We are going to direct a nation, you and I. We can't do anything about destiny. We're going to get married."

We then see Paula making more drops and putting them into the lemonade container.

Still in bed, Alo is feeling somewhat ill. She hallucinates that Kelly is kissing her. She feels sicker, tries to get up, and falls onto the floor.

Lado - # 54 - 2/2

Joel goes to the store where the mystery woman bought the phone that he found in Sofía's apartment. He shows the clerk photos of Sofía and Lorena and asks whether either of these was the person who bought the phone. The clerk hesitates, admires the two good-looking women, and finally points to the photo of Sofía. But then he admits he's not sure. Joel asks whether the woman used a credit card or paid cash. The clerk complains that Joel is asking for the impossible (usted le está pidiendo peras al olmo) but then says he has a journal (bitácora) he can consult. He goes into the back room to find it.

Margarita finds Alo lying on the floor. She helps her get up. Alo says she has a bad headache. But then she decides she feels better and wants to leave. She claims she has a Spanish exam.

Max berates Jennifer for sending Steve to offer Eliza money. Jennifer claims she was just trying to pay for the damage done to Rodrigo. And yes, she wanted to prevent Eliza from preventing Rod's continuing to be close to Charlie. Max continues to be angry at her, and finally she tells him that he has just two choices: "Either you stay with me or you accept the consequences: I can do a great deal of harm to Eliza...and her children."

Lorena and Richard are in the lobby of the apartment where Sarah Foster is staying. They expect Sarah to meet with the district attorney in a few hours to testify against Cummings. Lorena tells Richard that she wants to go upstairs to see Sarah by herself. Sarah distrusts men. Richard agrees to meet them later. Lorena goes upstairs, calls Sarah's name, is annoyed that Sarah is apparently asleep. "Wake up, Sarah," she says, and then she sees blood from the bullet that went through Sarah's head. Lorena is about to leave, but she's prevented by the gun that's suddenly pressed up against her head.

Sofía has come to see Lorena but is told no one by the name "Lorena Agudelo" is registered there. [I'm not sure why Sofía has come.] Sofía leaves the building and asks the valet to bring her car. She is waiting outside when Lorena leaves the building accompanied by the bald guy who killed Sarah and perhaps one other guy. They get into a van. Sofía's car arrives. She follows the van and calls Joel. She tells him that she was at Lorena's apartment and saw her leave with a suspicious looking guy. Joel decides to try to follow as well, but the phone call gets cut off before he can find out exactly where she is.

The people checking for bugs in Ernesto's office tell him that everything is clean and they leave. He gloats at Paula for being paranoid.

Santiago and baby come to see Eliza. Carmen tells him that Rachel is very depressed. The scene then shifts to Tijuana. We see Rachel approach the coyote and ask what she has to do and whether she can pay him once they get to Los Angeles.

At school, Alo is feeling happy until a boy in the classroom calls out "Hey, Mister Taco, you're famous" and shows her a photo on his computer of Alo and Kelly kissing. Grace pipes up, "Now everyone knows what a filthy lesbian Mexican you really are." Alo walks to where Kelly is, slams her head against the desk, and then grabs Grace and starts punching her hard. Karina and the teacher pull her away. Soon afterward, Karina calls Eliza to tell her that Alo is in detention.

Paula tells Ernesto that Cummings is angry and may be on his way to Mexico to talk to Don Carlo. She adds that Cummings knows who informed about the FBI. Ernesto gets a call about Alo from the school.

Sofía follows the van. It pulls into a lot. She then sees the bald guy and a second guy drag Lorena from the van. She struggles and yells "Let me go" as they take her into a garage. A metal door comes down, preventing Sofía from seeing more.

"LADO":

Juanita: Bold Prediction: Lorena's days are numbered!

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

1.) Ritual showed zero emotion on the deaths of Carmen & the kids.

2.) Ishmael is devastated by the deaths of Carmen & the kids.

3.) The plane carrying Jaime explodes & crashes.

4.) Daddy Casilas & his new girlfriend having fun.

5.) Castillo & Colon figuring things out.

6.) BPN is on the DL!

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS"

I cant wait for the recap on this... Since when is the President gay? I did not see that kiss coming.

That news report at the end! omg!

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

Anon: I NEVER saw that coming either, it was OMG! Plus, I believe they along with the prostitutes were snorting cocaine.

We have to wait & see what Daddy Casilas will say in the TV Broadcast tonight.

Lado

Maybe its just a TN thing when singers are featured, that they're only given one song to highlight. There was a singer in Tierra de Reyes...and she too had just one song...that was played throughout the entire series.

"LADO":

Nett: Looks like it's curtains for Lorena tonight.

Lado

Great recap, Juanita. I especially appreciated your translating bitácora and peras ... olmo, both new to me.

Carmen is terrific, but she does lack tact. If Eliza were my daughter, instead of hooting and hollering and asking for tequila, I'd have comforted her about the loss of her dream of being with the man she loved.

And, I'm grateful for your clearing up some things. Again, a not very big TV in the entertainment center yards from the sofa, and I couldn't tell which woman the phone store guy pointed to.

Well, Alo may be in detention, but having Ernesto as her father can only help in case one of the beaten Mean Girls wants to accuse her of a crime.

Ah, if we could only write these scenes ourselves! How many times have I thought that! My version: Alo walks into the classroom, the nasty comments begin. Alo walks closer to Kelly and gently remarks that Kelly's kissing her really surprised her; she had no idea Kelly was gay. But she, Alo, will forgive Kelly's forcing herself on her because she's all about the diversity.

Well, Margarita did find Alo passed out on her bedroom floor; but, so far, she seems a long way from fulfilling our hopes and atando cabos (putting two and two together) from her time with Claudia, the first wife.

Oh, Raquel, you are apparently very badly informed. Carmen tried to warn you about these coyotes. Many are involved with a cartel, and, if you looked up sleazy in the dictionary, that guy's picture would be there. The victims who are young women are routinely raped. I'm reading a book now The Line Becomes a River by Francisco Cantú. It's about a Latino man who becomes a US border patrol agent and details some of the horror stories that happen.

Well, if Lorena survives this kidnapping, she'll surely feel differently about Sofía. Juanita, you said that Joel didn't know where she was, but I thought I heard her tell him where she was and that he was 10 minutes away. Of course, in a maddening telenovela event, she loses her signal or her battery dies, and she can't tell him exactly where they've taken Lorena. But he might be able to track her phone. Don't they always do that in thriller TV shows?

One thing that seems missing to me is Karina's reaction to what her Daddy Dearest did to her brother.

Lado

that was a great recap Juanita, you are so good with the details.

I just knew Raquel urged Carmen to leave so she could check out the coyote.

it sounded like Richard was going for the $1,000,000 deal with Sara, I think they had a meet with the DA at 5:00.

that looked like the same cell phone store they used in Sangre, interesting how the guy keeps notes every day in his journal, but didn't know where it was, he wasn't much help, and Joel is working on his 24 hour deadline.

I was thinking Sofia went to see Lorena because of the conversation she overheard about the phone, I'm glad she called Joel who said Richard is ready to send backup, but I was wondering if she cut off the call because Joel started whining about her being careful and not to do anything.

Lado

Thanks VERY much, novelera, for your wonderful comments. I'm delighted to know that you found the Spanish helpful.

I LOVED your version of Alo's experience in class! If only....

I too was hoping, even expecting, that something would click in Margarita's brain and she'd begin to see a pattern. Perhaps the writers just want us to give up hope so they can then surprise us?

Great point about Karina's not having said anything about Max's failure to protect Rodrigo.

Yes, I guess it's a good thing that the school called Ernesto. Actually, I was surprised and impressed by how well Alo punch.

I too remember Sofía telling Joel where she was when she started to follow the van, but once contact was lost, my assumption is that he probably won't be able to find her. Though the route was pretty straight, the bad guys did turn off when they went into the lot with the chain-link fence. I don't know whether Joel can track her phone without more sophisticated equipment. Then again, I'm not a tech person, nor do I play one on TV.

Lado

Many thanks, deb, for your great comments. It hadn't occurred to me that Sofía might have been wanting to talk to Lorena because of what Sofía had heard Patrick say about the phone. I bet you're right.

At one point I too thought that Sofía might have cut off the call to Joel, but IIRC there seemed to be problems on both her end and Joel's, so I decided that somehow the cutting off of the call hadn't been deliberate.

I don't know how much longer this novela will run. Telemundo keeps posting notices for another season of Sin Senos, and last night they announced that Lado was in etape culminante, but does that give us three weeks? two months? I confess that I'm not happy that two of the three novelas will be new seasons of shows I either never watched (Sin Senos) or gave up on several years ago (Señor).

"LADO":

Juanita: Wasn't this TN supposed to have 90 episodes ?

Lado

ah, etape culminante, I always figure that to be the last third of the show, but it's good they they are ready to move on.

Gabriel Porras (Ernesto) makes the greatest politician, always working all of the angles, with a smile.

last year after Silvana sin Lana, when Sin Senos started, everyone left, there really were no recaps all summer till Sangre started.

I would reccomend Mi Familia, which was my favorite of the three, except that it's taken a turn toward the darkside, maybe it will lighten up with Rosa's bad boyfriend gone.

lado

Alo is my girl!! she 'slid' the heck outta that wench... and the itch-bey, she looked so happy .. works for me..

bye sara, dang you didn't make a full week..

Ernesto ,really, you are creeping me out...

CARMEN TEAM CARMEN!! ALL THE WAY....EXCUSE ME ??IS THE ACTRESS playing Eliza pregnant??? she is covered and very low key.. low energy..

.....SUPER SERIES?? FOR LADO!!!WILL IT BE BACK??!!

Juanita, thank you very much for another stellar recap. You are a great writer and your dedication is admirable. And I appreciate the Spanish expressions very much.

Couple of days ago I recapped just 20 minutes of PASL, and it was very difficult and time consuming, so I now have even greater respect for the recappers.

I didn't have the opportunity to watch Lado yesterday, so can't comment, but just wanted to chime in and thank you for a job well done.
And a belated thank you Novelera for your recap from last week.

Irene

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

HALIMACANDY: You need to watch THIS because it's popular & a BIGLY Super Series on Telemundo for years.

Irene: Did you watch this last night ?

Lado

Muchas gracias, Irene, for your appreciative message. I always enjoy hearing from you.

Enemigo and General:

Deb, thanks for clearing some of the things up. I think they want us guessing, to make us come back for Season 2.

I won't be watching El Señor, and here's why. I think it was the first series to not wrap up normally (could be wrong). After Season One, I thought, okay, well, they'll wrap it up at the end of Season Two, and Aurelio (whom I despise) will finally be killed. But NO, they announce a Season THREE! That was it, no more for that show. They're now on Season 6, right? I personally want the shows to END, although I'm aware that many viewers like this new trend.

Sometimes, though, I can make an exception. I really like Sin Senos, and the last season had such a horrendous cliffhanger (I thought about 5 of the evil people would be killed, but instead, one good lady and NO bad ones), everything else totally in the air, that I'm going to watch the next season, which I presume starts after Lado, now in it's culminating stage (so 7 more weeks or so :). Also, I really like Carmen Villalobos, whom I originally saw in the 2008-9 version of Sin Senos, one of my favorite shows ever (and it DID end, very powerfully).

General

Hombre, I agree 100%. I watched the first two seasons of El Señor, but that was it for me. I liked the first season the best, when he was married to Ximena. And Mónica was insanely jealous and tried to kill her at their wedding. I liked Chacorta at times and Aurelio's mother as well. From that first season on, it appeared to me that the whole thing just became one big gunfight.

I don't know how Rafael Amaya stands playing this guy for so many years. And he was terrific as El Güero Dávila in La Reina del Sur, although he didn't have that many scenes. I guess it's all about the money.

General

Hombre, I read your message with great interest. I gave up on Señor midway through season 2. I've never watched Sin Senos, and the brief previews Telemundo has been showing during Lado's ad breaks have not whetted my interest. But your enthusiasm makes me think I should reconsider. Is it possible to plunge into season 3 without having seen seasons 1 and 2?

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

Juanita: You'll be missing out. Looks like BPN might be on the DL.

General

"El Señor de los Cielos" * I too dropped out after 2 seasons but last year when Bill C was recapping I got back in for some of the side stories.

"Sin Senos si hay Paraiso" * they finished filming several weeks ago and since then Majida Issa (Diabla) has stated she thinks the public has had enough of her character, she won't be doing it anymore, and various other people have moved on so at this time there are no plans for another season that I can see.

also in the narco news, Mauricio Ochmann has said he won't play El Chema anymore because so many of his fans are children of all ages and he doesn't think children should be exposed to this type of entertainment, Alberto Guerra will play the part this season in "El Señor de los Cielos 6".

And what happened to Vivi? I miss her snarky recaps

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

Deb" Expect the Female TV News Anchor to get whacked by BPN.

I'll try and do the recap tonight.

Victoria, I live in California. I have DirecTV for my provider. The dish gives me two airings of both Telemundo and Univisión programming. Thus, Lado airs at 6:00 PM California time on a channel called Telemundo East and again at 9:00 on Telemundo West. I record the 6:00 showing and often don't get home from my 45-60 minute commute (depending on traffic) until 7:00. At that hour the show is already sitting on my DVR.

LADO
Novelera You are so lucky. We have AT&T U-Verse but don't have the direct TV option. I think direct TV allows you to stream shows directly to your phone live.
I'll have to check on that.

Lado #55 1/2

Lorena is dragged into the warehouse, she fights back, she is winning, nope, now tied to a wall, beaten and shocked, Cummings wants answers, she breaks, Sofia is alive, Cummings calls Paula, as Sofia sneaks into the building.

Steve is let into Jens place by the Celia who is off to do errands, he walks up on Jen, who is anonymously turning in Eliza to immigration, he stops her, she lies, she was turning in the doctor, Steve will have no more of this, he is turning HER in, SMASH, Jen clubs him from behind, he falls into the pool.

Eliza goes to school but is denied seeing Alo, only her parents, and Ernesto redid all the paperwork, ah, and here he is, Ernesto tells Eliza to go home, blames her for Alo's problems, she tells him it was her difficult childhood.

psycho Jen talks to a floating Steve, it's all your fault, it wakes Charlie (in his normal bed, out of the bubble)

Cummings call to Paula is dropped, he goes outside to try again and is met with the returning van, it has Sara's body inside, Sofia has dropped the thug inside with a sand bag from above, and has untied Lore, just in time for Cummings to return, he has them now.

Jen drags Steve's body to the utility room (hmm, big freezer), Charlie is up and down the stairs, where is everyone, he finds Jen, why are you wet?, she lies, everything I do is for you, everything will be fine.

Ernesto lectures Alo, Eliza defends her, will she be expelled, hmm, the PTA will have to review this, Alo just wants out, Eliza wants her to come home, she leaves with Ernesto.

Joel has found Sofia's car, Rich is on the way, he finds the same open door Sofia went in.

Cummings and Sofia take a walk down memory lane, how did you survive the accident, he asks, it wasn't an accident Sofia spits out, your driver confessed before he died, ah and remember when you pushed me down the stairs, we do, next they talk about his business, he adds the part where he doesn't like older girls but he will make an exception with Alondra.

Cummings tells his guy to shoot Sofia in the stomach so she will die slowly, Joel is in the building and cautiously making his way around, hurry Joel, hurry.

Max arrives at home, he too wants to know why Jen is wet, and where is your sling, and... Jen is really cracking, he grabs her, sends Charlie to his room, has Celia call the Doc.

Joel burst in as Lore kicks down one guy and grabs a gun, but wait, Cummings has his gun on Sofia, Richard's crew in ski masks arrive, find Sara's body, storm the place, Joel grabs Cummings gun hand as the bullet flies to the ceiling, now has him in a choke hold, move and I'll break you neck.

the good guys decide to keep this quiet, the Feds leave with Cummings out the front, Joel and the girls slip out the back, Pastrana is lurking and sees Cummings being arrested.

Lado #55 2/2
Ernesto is lecturing Alo, you can't just do what you want anymore, all the way home, but she says she quit listening when they got into the car, she goes to her room, Alejandra won't answer Ernesto's calls but Paula awaits him in the study, he wants the names of all the parents in the PTA, she tells of Cummings arrest (apparently she didn't hear about Sofia), but sent Pastrana to check things out after his call was dropped.

Max and Charlie are concerned about Jen as the Doc checks her out, nervous breakdown?, and will Charlie ever be able to see Rod, yes, but Max doesn't know when.

the Doc takes Max for a walk, tells him Jen needs professional help, he can't keep doing this, he is only here to help Charlie, he is concerned about his experimental procedure going to waste, and how is Charlie?, his blood is much healthier and it all looks pretty good, but the stress from Max and Jen fighting is taking it's toll.

Cummings is talking down to Joel and Richard in one of those little FBI rooms, denying all, including a dead Sara and a kidnapped Lore, Richard has all the time in the world to wait, Joel doesn't and slaps down some pics, one of Cummings with his granddaughter at the party, how would they feel about you if we released a press statement telling all the sordid details of your business, this gets his attention.

Sofia and Lore are hanging out, Lore humbly apologizes, she thanks Sofia for putting her life on the line to save her, she didn't want to give Sofia up but the torture...(quiet)... what? more?

Sofia moves closer, did they torture you to plant the phone?...

Lado

Terrific recap in true deb style. Thanks VERY much! I especially loved "Cummings and Sofia take a walk down memory lane."

I noticed that when the FBI took Cummings out to the car, two guys off to the side were taking photos. I wonder whether that will turn out to be important.

Poor Charlie. He's now seen that his mother is both crazy and a liar. The actress playing Jennifer does crazy quite convincingly. I was surprised that Jennifer was able to get the body out of site before Charlie found her. Was there really a large empty refrigerator conveniently at hand? Even if so, Jen had such difficulty dragging Steve's body, it's hard to imagine that she could have maneuvered the body into a refrigerator, even a large one. Oh well, I'll let my beanie deal with that.

Juanita, you are such a sweetheart.

I guess we now know that Steve will not be a romantic option for Eliza. I still want Andres for her; the good guys should win once in awhile.

Please, anyone, explain how Sofia knows about the planted phone in her house? I missed that detail.

Victoria: I wasn't surprised J-Low whacked Steven like that. Then she stuffed his body in the large freezer.

Once again, the Corrupt Doctor needs his anvil for what he did to Rodrigo.

Sofia looked like she was going to read Lorena the riot act.

Deb: Who wants to bet that somebody finds Steven's body in the freezer ?

Victoria...Sofia overhresd one of Joel’s conversations with Patrick in the hospital. That’s why she went looking for Lorena in the first place

HALIMACANDY: BPN goes off & sends the Mexican Military & Federal law enforcement agencies after Daddy Casilas.

Once again, the law enforcement authorities fail BIGLY.

Victoria: BPN has the Female TV News Anchor detained in the secret dungeon at Los Pinos (Residence of the President), where he plans to have her charged with obstruction of justice, aiding a terrorist, etc.,

She fired back at him that he's been involved with Narco terrorists.

LADO,
Forget my question. I just realized that Sofia overheard Patrick talking to Joel about the possibility of Lorena being the snitch.

Steve... I expect Celia to find the body since she has to put the groceries away. Just hope it doesn’t take forever

Guess it’s Charlie who will end up with a new family....just hope max is not part of it. But with Steve dead...Jen can still denounce Eliza.

I'm on pins and needles waiting to find out what they will do to Cummings.

I do think this novela may go on another season. Telemundo has it listed under "Series" instead of teleovelas.

I find most of the main characters boring so I hope this TN has an end....soon. outside of the horrific traficking ...and the legal part....the storylines are either weak or boring...and can be resolved this week as far as I am concerned. Unless somethibg changes ...cant see this going longer than another few weeks or so.

Deb, your recap was perfect! Thanks so much. That was a very thrilling episode; but, of course, the main female heroine is NOT going to die. Lorena was a coin toss.

I found myself wanting more at the end. What is Lorena going to come up with after Sofía confronted her about planting the phone? I can't really tell if she's completely done trying to frame Sofía.

I loved the expression on Paula's and Ernesto's faces when they found out about Cummings being arrested. And isn't he just a piece of work, being all huffy and arrogant in the interview room. But I can't figure out where this is going. It feels too soon for him to rat out Ernesto. And I kept expecting a pack of highly paid lawyers to interrupt the interrogation.

And, yes, Juanita, I also remember the two young guys photographing the arrest on their cell phones. I think that's going to end up on the internet, and soon.

And we got another example of Pastrana, the comic book character who flies through the air to magically appear wherever Paula wants him to appear. I have a feeling his telenovela life span is limited.

I did not see Jennifer put Steve in a freezer. Well, he might as well have been in a freezer the whole time for all the impact he had on the show. OK, at least he stopped J-Low from calling ICE on Eliza.

LADO

Novelera,

I almost fell off the bed when I read your witty description of Pastrana:

"And we got another example of Pastrana, the comic book character who flies through the air to magically appear wherever Paula wants him to appear. I have a feeling his telenovela life span is limited."

jLOWEST HAS LEFT THE BUILDING..

BUT the doctor gave Maxy an out and reason to keep Jlow at home and out of loony bin....

yes.. in that case everybody is fair game...

Steve:
Senor..not feeling it..check back with me if [ my negra ]Felina is not dead and returns,otherwise... I aint watching SENOR ..forget about it...

my husband checks it out ,cause its a bloody macho mess and its big on the blood and guts...

Ironically ,ITS NUMBER ONE and puts Telemundo on the map!!...IT BEATS OUT UNIVISION??!!!
SO,EXPECT IT to continue.. maybe the kids will take over the legacy...
not that I give a dog-gum...

"LADO":

Novelera: I expect Cummings to get off scot-free BIGLY. He's NEVER going to spend a single day in prison because as a former United States Senator from TX, he's got cronies EVERYWHERE.

HALIMACANDY: Lorena's not done framing Sofia yet because she's obsessed with Joel.

Lado,

Deb, thank you very much for another great recap. It's amazing how you managed to capture all the action (and there was a lot of it) so well in just a few paragraphs. You didn't miss a single thing and the recap is fantastic.

I recapped half of a pretty boring PASL episode where nothing happened and it took me 9 long comments to recap just 20 minutes. It would have taken me probably 30 comments and 10 hours to recap something as action filled as this episode.

I think this episode pretty much redeemed the entire series. It was action packed, unpredictable and I must say I gained a quite a bit of respect for Lorena.
She fought amazingly well with her arms tied up against two armed assailants that are much bigger and stronger than her and almost won. I hope she is going to confess about trying to frame Sophia, ask for forgiveness and leave and then I might even start tolerating her character.

I did not expect Steve to die, but I so agree with Novelera's hilarious assertion that "he might as well have been in a freezer the whole time for all the impact he had on the show". I really expected him to be much more important.
I was disappointed that he didn't stop Jennifer from harming Rodrigo or denounced her immediately after discovering what that nutcase did, but he didn't deserve to die in such a horrible way. I still hope that maybe he is not dead. Maybe he will wake up in the freezer with amnesia again.

Max is the weakest, most cowardly wuss ever existing on the face of the earth. He is so afraid of going to jail that he would risk Eliza and his children's lives and wellbeing and cave to Jennifer's demands just to avoid it. All of it could have been avoided if he would have just served his time for bigamy ten years ago. And Rodrigo's PTSD and suffering wouldn't have happened if he would stop the surgery. Of course then he would have had to serve some time, so that was out of the question for this coward.

And Steve would still be alive if he would have denounced Jennifer.
So, everything that happens to Eliza and the children is on Max.

And he is such a dumb and hypocrite piece of sh.t for equating the Eliza's act of slugging Jennifer for risking Rodrigo's life and almost maiming him, to the criminal and unforgivable acts of Jennifer.
I wanted to grab him through the screen and kick him in the nuts even though I am not a violent person when he told poor Charlie that both Jennifer and Eliza are not ok instead of telling him that his mom committed terrible crimes against his brother and Eliza only defended her son.

And why did he call the transplant doctor to take care of Jennifer is beyond me.
And how come, even though he noticed that Jennifer's arm is not broken, he didn't question the transplant doctor about her injuries and how come he diagnosed her with a broken arm and broken nose when she is obviously fine.

Irene

Lado

Irene, Max did want to take Jennifer to the emergency room after she staged that supposed bad beat-down by Eliza. But she, knowing what doctors not being blackmailed by her would say about her broken arm, insisted he call Mauricio.

Regarding Mauricio, I loathe the guy for knuckling under to Jennifer. But I believe what the writers are telling us, that he is an expert in leukemia, or whatever Charlie has that required the bone marrow transplant. And I want the doctor to be out of jail long enough to ensure that Charlie lives. I expect Charlie to join his siblings and live with Eliza eventually.

Lado

thanks guys !!!

yep, thanks for picking up on the two guys videoing the Cummings arrest.

now they need to keep Cummings from making his phone call and outing Sofia, Paula will grab Alondra for sure, why is no one on this?

yep Halimacandy, "J-lowest has left the building".

Irene ha!, "Maybe he (Steve) will wake up in the freezer with amnesia again".

Lado:

Novelera, Jennifer basically blackmailed this wuss to call Mauricio (i had no idea that's the doctor's name) after the alleged attack, but why the hell did he call him now? And after seeing her with a perfectly good arm? He is a transplant doctor, why did Max think that he is the perfect doctor to treat Jennifer's nervous breakdown?

Irene

P.S : I am so impressed with how you guys manage to remember all the names of all the secondary characters. I am ashamed to admit that I still don't even remember a single family name on this show (apart from Villavicentio), not to mention the name of a character we saw maybe 5 times in 55 episodes.

Lado

I don't really think Lorena was at the limits of her pain endurance when she told Cummings that Sofía was alive. That's what she said afterwards; but I think, even then, she was hoping to get rid of Sofía and have Joel all to herself.

This, of course, was before Sofía saved her life. She could be repentant now.

"LADO":

Irene: The Corrupt Doctor will NEVER get his anvil anytime soon.

You need to accept that Steven is DEAD & not coming back anytime soon. Big question is whether J-Low will whack Celia next (if Celia finds the body in the freezer) ?

Novelera: Lorena is still obsessed with Joel & will do almost anything to destroy Sofia considering that Cummings will likely get released soon (he's got cronies all over the place as a former United States Senator from TX) & then there's still the question of how long will Paula keep poisoning the lemonade that Alondra drinks ?

We've already seen Alondra collapse earlier from the side effects. The next time we see other side effects, there's a 50% to 50% chance that Alondra might NOT make it alive.

Sin Senos:

Juanita, I do think you could jump in for season 3. I didn't watch season one (didn't know it existed) and it wasn't too confusing starting with Season 2, although I knew the basic story from the original I saw in 2008. The show is basically a rivalry between a good 35 year old mother, along with her good 18 year old daughter, and an evil 35 year old mother, along with her evil 18 year old daughter. The two mothers used to be best friends as teenagers, and both were in the drug world, but now one's a cop and the other is still a druglady. Typical, huh?

Sin Senos

Muchas gracias, Hombre, for your encouraging response. The plot doesn't exactly sound as if it's breaking new ground, but for that very reason it may be easier for a Senos newbie to jump in. I think I'll give it a try.

"SIN SENOS":

Hombre: The Rivalry never ends: The Latina version of McCoy's & Hatfield's.

Lado,

Steve, you're right...we're due for a few more bodies to pile up so I too think Celia will be next..after finding the body. Alo is too important to the story so I think she will be around till the end. Hopefully she collapses at school and they take her to the hospital where she can receive real medical attention and not more lemonade.

Irene, you went back in time on what Max could have done differently or more courageously....like not committing bigamy. I was thinking he should have never married Jen in the first place...and just the face up to her dad. You're right...he's the biggest wuss ever. Even Charlie was more observant than he was about Jen's supposedly injuries.

If the rest of the series has the pace we saw last night...it will be a better show but I'm not counting on it.
