Papa a toda Madre, Capítulo 76, Friday May 4, 2018; “I’m Not in Love!”

Mau comes back from his “meeting” that he told Maria he was going to and told her it went well. [Guess he didn’t want her to know he was playing “stand in” with Vero] So she thinks he had a meeting with the cooperative. Then she mentions Fabian and Mau wants to know if he came over. Maria says, “No, not that. It’s just that Anifer is asking about her biological father.” So Mau goes to her bedroom to find out if she is awake and she is. He tells her, “A little bird told me that you were interesting in knowing something about your biological father. I want you to know that if you want to talk to me about it, I’m here for you.” But Ani says, “I just wanted to know if my mother was in love with my father and why he didn’t want to know me. Was he angry with me or my mother?” Mau answers, “I don’t think he was angry. But the most important thing in the world is that you don’t hold that against him.” Mau used the word “rancor” and Ani wants to know what it means. He explains that it means that something turns ugly and stays in the heart, then it’s very difficult to get rid of. “Well I’m not angry with anyone” says Ani. Mau then explains that no matter what happens, it is always important to forgive.  Ani then talks about how he changed girlfriends and went from Renée to Maria.

Later, outside on the swings, Mau talks to Jorge about his dilemma concerning how he used to treat women in comparison to how he feels today. He laments that he feels like he has changed but now it feels like he is doing the same thing he used to in going from one woman to another. Jorge answers and says that he is doing better, that at least he left Renée before he started up with Maria. But Mau says, “It just doesn’t feel right. I feel like I’m taking advantage of Maria.” He goes on to explain that he is with her because of Anifer, but in truth, he does not love her, although she is very nice. Mau says, “I’m just not in love! I cannot go on deceiving her.” Jorge says, “Mauricio, don’t make the same mistakes I did. The days will pass and then you realize there is no way out. You will have regrets for where there are no solutions. These things are just hard to forgive.”

Valentina sits in the bathroom next to the toilet paper holder with her phone. Then Kika calls Valentina to see how she is. Val tells Kika that she is very glad that she and her father get along so well. She thinks they are very good together. Kika is thrilled to hear that. They hang up because she tells Kika she is expecting a message to come through. Val looks at her phone and her “friend” tells her that he will not be able to Facetime with her, so she is disappointed.

The next day at Rafa and Rod’s house, the doorbell rings and it’s the adoption agency social worker to inspect the house. She starts to look around and make notes. She sits down and asks if the prospective adoptive child will have their own bedroom or will they be sleeping with Rafa and Rod. Rafa assures the social worker that the baby will have his own space. She adds that they will have to make a lot of changes to the house because as she sees the house…but the doorbell rings. Rod says, “Oh that must be Renée.” He goes to answer, but it’s not Renée, but a lawyer for Fabian looking for Renée. When the social worker hears that, she exclaims, “Excuse me, but is there a third man who lives here with you? This is just way too modern.” Rafa stops her and says, “No, Renée is a woman and she is the owner of this house and rents to us, but right now she isn’t here.” Rafa goes to find out what this lawyer wants. “I’m Iván García and I have a notice of immediate eviction here and you are to move out from here ASAP.”

Meanwhile the social worker, hearing all this wants to know what they did to get evicted. “And you are trying to bring a child into this broken situation? You obviously haven’t paid the rent. I’m putting down that you are financially irresponsible.” Rafa says this is really a mistake because they are paid up with the rent and they have all their receipts.

Then Renée walks in asking what is going on. The lawyer announces he is seizing the property for his client, Fabian Carbajal. Renée says, “What???”

Valentina is still tied to her phone the next day still waiting to Facetime with her online friend, who turns out to be a predator! It looks like Dulce's boyfriend that she ran away with! He has her FB page open with Val’s pictures.

Mau and Maria are on their way home from taking Ani to school. After some small talk, he says that he must tell her something very important. He can’t be with her anymore and it isn’t fair to her. He still loves Renée. Of course Maria is hurt and disappointed. He gives her various reasons for why he did what he did and why it can’t work out. He says it’s because he was thinking about Ani. But Maria reminds him, “No, you were thinking of yourself. You just didn’t want to be alone.” Mau says, “You are right. But you are a wonderful woman…” Maria then says, “I really don’t want to know anymore.” Mau tried to get her to wait, but she decides to run off on her own because she wants to be alone.

Back at Renée’s place, she is LIVID! She goes off on this lawyer saying basically no one is going to make her get one finger out of this house to throw her in the streets. [In the background, it looks like Rod is saying, “Go get ‘em Tiger!”] Well it seems that Fabian has told the lawyer that Renée has “invaded” the house and taken it over for herself. So, in the midst of all this chaos, the social worker decides that enough is enough and leaves because she doesn’t want to waste her time on this mess. The lawyer makes threats against Renée who then says, “If you try to take me out of here, you will see what I am capable of doing to defend my house!” She looks at him and dares him to take her out.

Rafa, still trying to get this social worker to stay and explain it is a mistake then runs over to Nerón’s house and rings the doorbell frantically. Nerón and Flor are a little upset because they are afraid to wake little Milady. Rafa explains what is going on and Nerón blows his top saying he going to get all the neighbors together so this doesn’t happen. Rafa and Nerón go out the door and then Milady wakes up.

Mau goes to the school for the kids theater program he got involved with for Anifer. The teacher says that the children wrote their own dialogue for their play, so Mau wants to read it.

Maria walks through town, feeling disappointed. She is not in a good mood. She bumps into someone and snaps. She crosses the street and a car come barreling by honking the horn. She yells out, “Hey, a pedestrian has the right of way!” She longingly thinks about some of the conversations she and Mau had together and is wistful. She starts to cross the street and a taxi asks if she needs a ride. She gets in, but then he asks if she needs a tour and so she decides to get out. This cab drives away, but then a 2nd cab drives past her, goes through water puddle and splashes her. Maria is very upset.

Renée, still haggling with Fabian’s lawyer/henchman follows him outside. They are met by a posse of Rafa, Nerón and Jorge. Renée says that the lawyer’s papers are falsified and this is her home, she had it all taken care of in court. Lawyer Garcia then calls Fabian and Fabian plays like he’s the man on top, “What am I paying your for? Press on, then press 2 then press 3” he says arrogantly. Then Renée grabs the phone and tells Fabian off in not so many words call him “miserable user”. But Fabian doesn’t care, he babbles a minute and hangs up. Renée looks at Garcia and tells him there is no way they are getting her out of that house.

As Jorge looks through Garcia’s paperwork, he is combing through it and finding that many parts of it are invalid. However Garcia proclaims that Fabian is the legal owner and has every right to take it away from Renée.

At the school theater club, Mau doesn’t like what the children wrote, calling it an “insult to the dramatic arts.” The teacher starts to defend the children saying these are 7 year old kids and “this is not Broadway!” Mau says he can write something a lot better, so the teacher says, “Ok, do it!”

Valentina is still with her phone thinking she is talking to this boy. The predator tells her he will Facetime with her tonight.

Pablo reaches the U.S. border in Arizona. [Laughing at this because I believe I have driven past this sign. I know where Ajo, AZ is and I grew up in Tucson.] Pablo decides to go to Tucson because he believes his father is living there. His companion says he will go to Tucson too. Pablo tries to call Lili, but his battery is dead. They are going to look for a place the bus stops. [Pablo, here is a clue: Buses don’t stop on I-19. You’ll have to find the Greyhound bus stop in Nogales…I have friends in Nogales, they can show you where it is.] Pablo is able to board a bus and is on his way to Tucson! Welcome to Arizona, home of the Grand Canyon State and SB 1070! [Be careful Pablo!]

The argument outside Renée’s house continues. Nerón says that Renée was born at that house. Then Ariel asks Garcia if he has anything that proves that Fabian is the owner of the house such as paperwork in his name. Jorge asks if there is a will that states he inherited the property. Furthermore, Jorge tells Garcia anything more he has to please give it to him to look over from now on. Of course Garcia has nothing!

Kika and her sister converse about how she is helping out Jorge and what if he find out, she will be in trouble. But Kika has it all figure out. She going to launder the money through an industrial spy company.

At the school, Mau has rewritten the entire play, and it has taken so long all the kids fell asleep on the floor! They get up and they gather together to hear about a story of “a little girl named Anifer.” Then he assigns out the parts to everyone, giving Ani the part of the princess. Only problem is all the girls want to be a princess.

Back at the Privada, Garcia decides that he will desist on the eviction plans for Renée. All the neighbors cheer. Of course, he says this is just temporary till he sees them again. He leaves and Renée thanks everyone for their help and support saying, “if it weren’t for you all, then all my things would be right here on the street!” Flor notices how well Jorge is getting along with Rafa and Rod, saying that they are all good hearted.

Renée, Ariel, Rafa, and Rod sit down together with a pitcher of lemonade. Rafa and Rod say that if things get worse, they can always move out and not to worry about them.

Flor and Nerón go inside and snuggle on the couch. But after a little while, he thinks she has fallen asleep. But he can’t wake her up. It seems she has really passed out. Nerón panics. The doctor arrives and says that this is a secondary effect of the chemo. They need to monitor her before her next treatment. Nerón walks the doctor to the door and Flor looks up saying “thank you” to God as she does not want to die. Nerón comes back in and she tells him that they have to talk seriously just in case she does die.

Maria gets home to Mau’s place and it’s obvious she is in a bad mood. Mau wants to know what’s wrong. “Everything is wrong.” Says Maria. “I hate this place, I have no boyfriend, no job and this city is filthy. I’m going home to San Crispin with Anifer in a few days! And this time, I’m leaving for good!” Mau is crushed. He then reminds her to do what is best for Anifer. Maria counters that if she is not happy as a mother, how can she do what is best for her daughter? This is why they must leave. Mau asks her to think about it some more and asks her forgiveness. He then says that in a while he is going to pick up Ani and he asks if she wants to stay and rest. Maria says, “No, I want to go too.” Mau looks at her and says, “Do you think I will take Ani without your permission?”

At Logatoys, Fabian orders Gladys to bring him the designs right now. Falcon comes in to let him know that this product is very expensive. Fabian tells him he knows what to do and to just handle it.

Outside, Ariel and Renée talk. He tells her his father works for the Superior Courts there and can help her. Although he is not a judge, he can help her out with a few things if she needs it. He offers to pick her up and take her to meet his father and they can start working thing out on the legal side/government side. This makes Renée very happy. Oh and one other thing: Ariel has a gift for Renée, a brand new laptop to replace the one that was stolen from her. At first she doesn’t want it, but he talks her into accepting it. She says, “Only if I can pay you back.” But Mau was going to give her a laptop too and now retreats to the background as Ariel beat him to it.

Rod and Rafa come back to the adoption agency, but get the final word that their answer is NO. She tells them to explore other options, but in the final matter, she believe that no one would give a baby to a male couple like them. Rod gets angry and accuses her of being prejudiced against gay couples.

Outside the school, Ani and Mau discuss the theater production. She doesn’t like it and it seems the other children don’t either.

Flor and Nerón continue to talk about her future and their baby’s future. Flor asks him to make sure he raises Milady to be hardworking and kind like her mother. Nerón says he will, but he will do it with her since she is not going to die.

Rafa and Rod continue to discuss their situation. Rod brings out that he is “in the closet” at work and does not want to come out because of the type of work he does as a police detective. He reminds Rafa of how his family rejected him because he is gay. Rafa says that the way to get a child is through the “procura” [I am not sure what they are referring to, but I am thinking it has to do with fostering children. Please correct me if I am wrong.]

Mau and Maria talk back at his place. She has decided to not leave as soon as she thought she was going to. She needs to think things over and put Anifer first before her own feelings. Mau tells her that he terminated their relationship only because it was deceitful and destructive for both of them since he does not love her. “But it doesn’t mean I’m going to go back to Renée either.”

Will post more pictures during the weekend.

Cynthia, thanks for the fantastic recap. I really enjoyed your asides in red especially the ones about Pablo in Arizona.

I was impressed about how aware Mauricio has become in reference to his treatment of women and told María the truth. There is hope for him.

So, “Ariel” could be a new love interest for Renée.

Yes! A doctor that makes house calls!

Uh, oh, poor Valentina is in danger.

That is all for now! Time to put on the coffee.

Good morning Patio. Cynthia, hope that you're still sleeping!

Thanks for another wonderful recap, and like Jarifa, I got a kick out of your Arizona comments. Always a special feeling when they show a place we actually "know".

I think "procura" means obtaining a child directly from a mother who can't keep it.

Or working directly through a lawyer to adopt an infant. Will hope one of our native speakers can give us their opinions.

But "procure" sounds like they would be getting a child directly...without the intermediary of any government agency. And oh my, working directly through a lawyer...would that lawyer ever be Jorge? Hmmmm...awfully big stretch there. Don't know.

Anyone else have trouble understanding Renée? She seems to mumble and swallow half her words. I also don't understand her as well when she sings. When Luis Miguel, José José oor Marco Antonio Solis sing, I can pretty much understand every word. Thalia is good too. But Maite Perroni just does not enunciate.

Okay. Rant over. With these aging ears and aging brain, I have trouble in English too. Especially rapid-fire, high adolescent voices.

Thanks so much Cynthia. Hope that you are feeling stronger every day. And more hopeful as your body continues to heal and find its natural harmony and balance.

Thank You Cynthia. It is wonderful that you are improving to the point of doing a recap like this. Our fringe benefit is that we are the beneficiaries of your improving health What's not to Luuuurve?

Our show had seemed to be sputtering along on fumes, out of gas, then BOOM...the fuel pump found that last puddle of gas and we are off again at full speed.

Kika...industrial spies? Oh Boy what could go wrong.?
So did I miss the episode where Renee got the deed to the house straightened out?

That 'Danny' looked like that Juan Perez fellow who is AWOL. Surely not.

Mauricio did the right thing with Maria, but I'd hate to be put in his situation to potentially make that choice.

Those 'Talking Swings' are proving their worth.

So Master Pablo made it across the border. Yippee...At least he will not be spray painting SUR13 on everyrthing.

The Ariel kid is a far better match for Renee. BTW has her magenta (Thanks Susy) hair grown from a few streaks to everything below her collar?

OT: Look at the two chicks with this Mother Blue Heron. The one on the right is partially behind a small branch, but you can see him. One Grey but one WHITE. She has some 'splainin to do. :-)

Thank you, Cynthia, for your recap, especially after a long week at work and the effects of the B'sP. (((hugs)))

I think you were auto-co-wrecked (lol) and the word is "rencor".

I've given up on the closed captions and understood only half of what was said, and the low def sceeen lack-of-quality made text messages impossible to read. 😜

Flor looked like Diana Ross in last night's wig.

Val will be the show's PSA for internet contact with strangers. Stranger danger! Danger, Will Robinson! That guy isn't Blanca Nieves, is he?
Which leads me to wonder if Dulce might be dead by now from Blanca Nieves.

Pobrecito de María, you don't have a boyfriend. Major crisis, eh? 🙄

P.S. Cynthia - I was cracking up over your AZ asides. 😎

Cynthia: Looking forward to seeing more pictures.

"Pobrecito de María, you don't have a boyfriend." Is it because many of them are dating each other in this new enlightened world? What's a girl to do? :-)

Cynthia, if you see Pablo, let him plug in his phone for a bit so he can take some selfies for Lil and Jorge.

Hoppy Cinco de Mayo Patio

Good Morning!!

Some quick comments to start this Cinco de Mayo...YAHHOOOOAHHH!! That’s the Tex-Mex version on the Mexican tell :-)

Cynthia, thank you so much for this wonderfully written recap...so much happening now and your creative mind was beaming. hope your complete recovery is soon to come.

That guy that is texting Val does look more like Blanca Nieves...could he be plotting revenge against Dulce???

Kirby, ITA that Ariel would be a better match for Renee...they have the same cuteness.

JudyB, you’re so right! Renee’s speech is atrocious at times. When I recap her scenes I have to replay them several times to TRY to understand everything she says.

So the Ice Queen is boyfriendless and hating the city...maybe Antarctica would be an ideal place for her...Anifer can stay with Mau.

More laters...breakfast time!!

Reyna de Hielo. Perfecto. Can't survive long without a BF. So is her current Sit any better than her Vaca in Guat?

Cynthia, I hope it is a day where you feel relief from pain...continuing progress in feeling better. We are praying for you!

Another outstanding recap! You have such a way with words.

I'm relieved Pablo is (hopefully) on his way to freedom.

Very worried about the monster/catfish story. Ack. Val sure is in danger Jarifa!

"She longingly thinks about some of the conversations she and Mau had together and is wistful". My dear Maria, a few sweet smiles and incidental conversations do not a relationship make. "So the Ice Queen is boyfriendless and hating the city...maybe Antarctica would be an ideal place for her" had me chuckling RgvChick!

"Flor looks up saying “thank you” to God as she does not want to die". Surely the TN gods will not let that happen???

Judy, I understand so little nowadays. I have to rely almost solely on the actions and what I see rather than observe.

Could anything else have gone wrong with the adoption home visit?? I have to say I was impressed that both Rod and Raf supported Renee even though they were devastated at the results. That visit was a three ring circus.

Ariel reminds me of a gnat I'd like to swat. Sorry, he is a bit of a twerp.

doris, I am not sure how Dulce is going to be "resolved". I would be sad for the children but she is so cold and callous...

That shot is Nat Geo worthy Kirby.

Cynthia, you made a ho hum episode exciting and interesting.

Diana

Maybe Dulce double crossed her criminal boyfriend or refused to join in any of his fun reindeere games, and he is planning on kidnapping and raping Val to teach Dulce (AKA Lupe :-)) a lesson. Operating under the incorrect assumption that Dulce cares about anyone beside Dulce.

And I hopeo if Dulce does come back they have her aged about ten to fifteen years with a few teeth missing as another PSA about hooking up with Drug Boyz.

Georgie Boi may be maddeningly straight laced, but I'll bet he has dental insurance.

IE: The street sense around here concerning 'very approachable' women is: "If she has all her teeth, she's a cop."

I suppose I just did a PSA :-) Woof

Cynthia, thanks for another great and detailed recap! I'm sending some good, anti-Bell's vibes your way.

So Mau got back from that dinner and it appears nothing terrible happened at the dinner. I am surprised, I thought Vero was tipsy and would say something to sink them. I fall for these "false indications" every time!

What was Ariel looking at when he glanced over at Nerón and Florvidente? Twice -- to make sure we noticed? Another red herring? I have to agree with Diana, I think Ariel is a twerp. I don't really know why I feel that way, we haven't seen all that much of him, and he hasn't done anything terrible. Deciding to steal a kiss from Renée was poor judgment, but good taste.

Judging just by the facial hair "Danny" does appear to be Dulce's gangster boyfriend. But why is he after Val?

Great recap and some great comments here again today.

andy

See above, my suspicions Andy

Thanks, Cynthia. Fun recap, I enjoyed all the asides about Arizona.

I didn't realize Rodrigo is in the closet at work. The social worker was looking for a reason to say "no" so the eviction notice was right on time for her.

Kika never fails to surprise. Launder money through industrial spying? Uh, okay.

Looking forward to Pablo's Adventures in Arizonaland.

If Danny is in fact Dulce's gangsta BF, then Val could be a Strong Girl hero in keeping with one of our many themes for this show, by outing him and getting him captured.

Then Kika can help her set up her YouTube channel about Social Media Predators and she will be making more money than Jorge and can start wearing makeup like Kika put on her that time.

Then with Maria out, Renee and Mau can get back together. Ariel, after convincing Valentina that Ariel is a girl only in Little Mermaid, becomes Valentina's boyfriend.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your great comments! I put the rest of the pictures up.

RGV Chick: I edited my recap so that I'm saying now that this predator seems to be Dulce's boyfriend. I think we are going to be seeing Dulce reappear soon. I would guess that in the next couple or three episodes, they will enlarge on what is going on with Dulce. I wonder if she will come to Jorge crawling on her hands and knees? Whatever...she doesn't deserve to have Jorge and doesn't deserve to be back with her kids either.

Judy B: I just am still not sure what they mean by "procura". The way that Rod was saying last night that would be too difficult to do because it would mean "coming out" at work and he does not want to do that. That's why I was thinking it was like county foster care where you can adopt a foster child. But in those cases the courts really investigate and they investigate you at work too.

Diana: Thank you! I am not in any pain at all. This never was painful, it was just debilitating causing an extreme fatigue. I am getting better. My ophthalmologist says my eye is much improved and he will not have to sew my eyelid shut!I am now able to blink my eyelid at will, although it will not go down automatically. Anyway, I am hopeful that the "TN gods" will see to it that Flor lives to the Grand Finale and she and Neron get married with little Milady in tow.

I do not like Ariel. To me, he is up to something. I just haven't figured out what.

I don't like the idea of Dulce returning, but I suppose they have to find a way to cause problems for Jorge and Kika now that their relationships seems to be moving forward. I really hope that guy isn't Dulce's boyfriend; if he is, Val is in much more danger than anticipated, but Kirby's scenario for driving more nails into one of the themes might just be what the writer's intended. More drama shooting the comedy out the window ACKK!

By the way, here is a bit of trivia about I-19 in Arizona: The I-19 is set in kilometers, not miles. It is entirely in Arizona and runs from Nogales to Tucson only.
https://www.arizonahighways.com/blog/interstate-19-miles-or-kilometers

So somehow, Pablo made it through Nogales, Sonora on the Mexico side to Nogales, Arizona on the U.S. side. Seriously, it's pretty hard to get through there now.

Cynthia, I'm relieved you are not in pain although to me fatigue is exhausting to the point it is painful in certain instances. And I am very, very happy your doctor won't have to sew your eyelid shut! :) There is always a silver lining (smiling sending hugs your way).

"Maybe Dulce double crossed her criminal boyfriend or refused to join in any of his fun reindeere games". Could be right Kirby (great line). Although anyone who would take that out on a child should be thrown in jail for life. I suspect it might be Kika who stops the nefarious plan, but I'd love it to be Jorge.

RgvChick, no love going smoothly for any of our couples here is there?

"Looking forward to Pablo's Adventures in Arizonaland". Me too Niecie! And thank you for saying you hadn't realized Rod hadn't revealed he was gay at work. I had no idea either...

Cynthia, I wish we'd seen a bit more of Pablo's crossing...

And Ariel? "Deciding to steal a kiss from Renée was poor judgment, but good taste" was perfect Andy.

Diana

OMG Cynthia Fort Huachuca is just barely North of Nogales. I was there in the Army. We used to go to Nogales on the weekends. There is a nice few little mountains right off base too where I would go climbing on the weekends. I have camped out therer and discovered it can be 105 in the daytime and 20 at night in the mountains with humidity of a few percent.

I don't necessarily dislike Ariel, I just thought it was a little much buying Renee a laptop. Are laptops a lot cheaper in Mexico or something?

The last person I bought a laptop for was MEEEEEEE.

Well, i am struggling to type this comment while sitting in my patio, and I just lost my message. #*@#

Thank you , Cynthia, we went to a concert last night, so I really appreciate your recap and screencaps.

Renee seems to be the kind of girl who always has a knight come along to save her..Lupe, Maury, and now Ariel who must have fallen in !I've at first sight (,which I believe happens) and just happens to have a father in the judicial system.
And
Maria..not so !ucky....a overnighter with Fab...jail....and striking out with Maury despite playing that mommy and me card.

Arizona..never been there. It is fun seeing your local area depicted in screen. I love "The Office" for that reason..lots of local references.

Thank you, Cynthia. Great recap.

I Looked up "procureria" all kinds of ways and the closest I could find is "procurador" which is another word for lawyer, so maybe a procureria is like a state orphanage where they WILL dig deep into the prospective adopters, including their jobs (and thus out Rodrigo), as you mentioned.

Anon 2:43, I did some looking too and came up with the same results: "lawyer" so I thought maybe they would have to look for an attorney to go through with the adoption...which someone had already mentioned that maybe Jorge will be the one to help them.

Did you know... "Ariel" is the name of a laundry detergent? So maybe Ariel is actually clean...or will come clean :-)

" 'She longingly thinks about some of the conversations she and Mau had together and is wistful.' My dear Maria, a few sweet smiles and incidental conversations do not a relationship make."
Wait! Wait! (Don't tell me? lol) This is telenovelaland! Have you never read a Regency period romance? This couple was ready to be engaged. 😉

RGV The only place around here where you can buy Ariel laundry detergent is Home Depot. I think they are getting even with Kroger for all that plywood they are giving away with Doritos. :-)

Doris I am curious about Maria. I wonder if she just doesn't like to work full time or can't be bothered with it. The last time we saw her, she was a BIG deal, the Luuuurve interest for HotRod, then up and died.

She is certainly pretty enough. Every woman in this show is attractive, including Kika and Tonito's Moms. The Latin press has written about how excited she was to play a Mom for the first time in her career, but as things stand now, she sure looks to be on the way out.

The Dog

" My dear Maria, a few sweet smiles and incidental conversations do not a relationship make."

Apparently it took less than THAT for the girl to start a family......................................

Sending deep gratitude for all the recaps. I've been MIA from the patio for an entire month now. My 10-month-old granddaughter is now living with me, along with my son. She was born premature at 23 weeks, lived in the NICU for her fist six months and is still on oxygen and tube feeding. Even with my son as the med-tech assistant, she still requires close attention.
So, I've watched most episodes, but have missed reading the recaps and following the fun of the comments. Telenovela hour works for rocking a baby and watching at the same time!

Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone! (The holiday when we celebrate Mexican culture, even if it Mexico doesn't count it as a major event.)

Oh, yeah, I forgot. Happy Cinco de Mayo or "Mexican Beer Day" as it's known to television advertisers.

:-)

Kirby: "Every woman in this show is attractive,..." Yeah, and true of most Mexican TNs, much more so than American TV shows, IMHO. I am surprised that more men don't watch these TNs, if only for the eye candy. Turn off the sound and you can almost believe the show makes sense.

:-)

andy

LaPaloma, good to see you! Happy 5 de mayo to you, too!

(((LaPaloma))).....Good to see you. Bless you for helping your son with the baby, and I am sending out prayers for you all. Sometimes the telenovelas provide a bit of an escape from reality. ❤

La Paloma - I'll echo that it is good to see you. Your grand baby is a miracle to have survived such an early delivery. But you would already know that. (((Hugs)))

Meeting our son and his crew at local Mexican food place for tacos, to celebrate the non-Mexican all-American cinco de mayo. Or as one local store had tee shirts saying, "drinko de mayo". 🙄🙄🙄😜😜😜

Change of plans

https://5ftlatina.com/cohete/calendar/proximasupcoming/

No confirmation yet, but the latest rumor is Tenías Que Ser Tu follows this one and La Bella y Las Bestias...? My guess would be UniMás.

Thanks for the update!

We appreciate the possibilities 5ft. Thanks.

What's Dulce's angle here ?

Jarifa, Susanlynn, and Doris--thanks for your kind thoughts! Much appreciated by this elderly grannie!

Time to update the blog with new posts.

How do you translate " Tenias Que Ser Tu? "

Good Morning, Wonderful Patio!

5ft, thanks for the update!

La Paloma, so glad to see you back! Babies are truly miracles...and, fortunately, you seem to have a fighter who is not willing to give up. Prayers to you and your family.

Let's see what this week brings us on this so-called DRAMedy.

Happy Monday!!

Susy, translation would be "It Had to Be You"

Chickie, thank you.

A gorgeous day here...sunny 🌞 and 70.

Agree with what RgvChick says about miracle babies and your little fighter. But also, how lucky is your son to have you helping raise this little tigress. We grandmothers have to stay healthy, because we never know when we may need to step in to help with the littles. Susanlynn knows for sure.

Judyb...for sure. We are blessed if we are able to help our children and grand children. Hub and I got our two little granddaughters up, fed, and on the bus today as we do every school day. Have to leave in an hour to get them off the bus. Family is important.

La Paloma...wishing you all health and strength.

Spoke too soon! Esmeralda Pimentel was on Despierta America this morning and announced that La Bella y las Bestias will premiere on June 12 at 9pm/8c. There's a little bit of a preview here https://www.univision.com/shows/despierta-america/esmeralda-pimentel-demostrara-por-que-es-una-bella-indomable-buscando-sed-de-justicia-entre-bestias-video
