Steve, I don't think Albeiro has divorced Hilda, but they're definitely separated. This show is so funny, the way the Bruja is able to bewitch Albeiro to desire Jesica and hate CataG. And of course, that curse. I think it's the same bruja, so maybe she can reverse it one day? I almost expected the bruja to bring Daniela back to life, but I had forgotten about the curse.
As usual, the cops are completely incompetent. They had numerous opportunities to arrest Titi and Jesica at the beauty pageant, but blew them all, waiting for a fingerprint match. The cop who followed Jesica and got killed in the hospital, why didn't she call for backup? And it was hilarious how they busted Martin out of jail.
As Deb says, we think that Titi is the father of Mariana's baby, although Mariana still claims it's Hernan, because she wants to steal him from her Aunt CatalinaP. BTW, Hilda may be one of the youngest great-grandmothers around. She had CataG at about age 16, don't know how old CataG was when she had Mariana, but Mariana is only about 18. I guess this would make Hilda around 50, but she looks pretty good for that age.
Jesica is such a nut, hiring a woman to have a baby she going to pretend is hers and Albeiro's. Because she's obsessed with Albeiro. She's already killed the husband, I'm sure she'll kill the woman as soon as the baby is born.
And CataG was ridiculous letting Titi go in the first episode. Yes, she's maintaining her fiction with him that she's on his side, that she's not loyal to the TEA, that she's a rogue agent, that just wants to be with Titi. But this is just stupid. BTW, it's clearly not working with Santiago, because a) he's still with Soraya, and b) he doesn't believe in brujeria, which of course is totally true.
The fun continues!
Hombre, I don't think Albeiro and Hilda ever got married, was it last season when things were good, he proposed to her and they were going to do it after all these years, but they had to go to Miami first to testify against Jessica, and ran into Cata G, and...
Cata Gs boss has assigned her a body guard (escolta) Tony, because Martin is on the loose.
yep, Mariana is naming their daughter Cata la pequena, no one likes it, especially Cata la pequena, who will now be Cata la mediana, Cata G will be taking her home tomorrow, oh wait, Mariana doesn't want to go home, she wants to live with Hernan.
Alberio's baby is born, the doc says the mother shouldn't be separated for a couple of days,
Dayana catches Cata G at the hospital because she knows Mariana is having the baby, and hits on Cata G (she likes girls), err, sets her up with Titi, $20K, 3 days, Cata wants it to be tomorrow, nope, Titi is meeting a big guy tomorrow.
the Bruja is working overtime as Alberio goes to see Diabla, (did the guards call him Patron?), he's totally in love with her, hates Hilda, Cata G, and Mariana, she brings him the baby, says it's hers, she'll explain later, he bonds.
(hmm, the Bruja keeps saying burundanga, which the internet says is drug containing scopolamine)
Chalo, the big narco, calls Diabla, tells him Villa is coming to see Titi (Titi tried to kill Chalo earlier).
Sebas (Cata G's son, calls her, gets the news on the baby, he is staying with his aunt ??, is that the super bowl on the TV?
Villa and Martin arrive in Colombia.
1.) BPN having orgies with 2 prostitutes.
2.) Zuleta & Castillo likely heading for an inevitable clash sooner or later.
3.) Getting worried for Mayra because she keeps putting herself in the line of fire.
4.) Somebody injected Corina a concoction of drugs from behind her back.
5.) Ambar still having orgies in Cuba.
6.) Ishmael meets his Uncle Tito.
Many thanks, deb, for your concise recap, and thanks also to Hombre for shedding additional light on what's going on. Alas, with all your efforts, I'm still clueless about a lot. Who is Dayana, and what kind of deal was she setting up with CataG? Was CataG offering to pay $20K to be with Titi for 3 days? There must be a lot more to Titi than meets the eye, or at least my eye.
I feel reluctant to say much about this novela, since I still understand so little, and my lack of understanding is undoubtedly coloring my opinion. However (you knew there would be a "however," right?), at the moment I'm not enjoying the show. And though my lack of enthusiasm is certainly tied in part to my lack of comprehension, I suspect that it also stems from my not liking any of the characters. Usually the novelas I watch have at least some characters I like and want to see triumph, but just about all the characters I've seen in Sin Senos seem to have little to recommend them except their good looks.
But I'm not giving up, at least not yet.
hi Juanita,
this story takes place in a neighborhood in Pereira, Colombia where both Catas and their friends/enemies grew up. (that's where that fancy bridge they show is)
Dayana recruits and sells young girls from the neighborhood to the narcos for parties, sex, and such, right now she does a lot of things for Titi.
Cata G is working undercover for the TEA, (only the good guys know this), Titi knows her from when she was a prepago and sent Dayana to get her for him, they agreed Titi would pay her $20K, Cata wanted to meet with him the next day (TEA wants to catch him but don't know where he is) but he is meeting with Villa, so Dayana talked her into waiting for 3 days.
Dayana was also in the beauty Pageant, sponsored by Titi, and she has a mother and sister that she bosses around.
she also brought Mariana to Titi and got her drugged up so they would have sex, she has a preference for girls and was going to join in, when Titi kicked her out.
I can't say as I like anyone either, Hernan and Catalina P, were great in sin senos si 1, along with a tremendous cast of interesting characters, but in season 2 when they wrote in Cata G and her whiny son, horrible daughter, and Max like husband, Hernan and Cata p got swept under the rug, Hilda got stupid, Alberio got cursed and like Hombre says, it's just crazy.
deb, ¡muchísimas gracias otra vez! You've once again helped me to make sense of this. I guess I'm creating my own little novela here, called Sin Sense No Hay Paraíso :-) and you're helping change that to Con Sense Sí Hay Paraíso.
I agree, Deb, Albeiro and Hilda never actually got married. He's totally gone now, so Calvo is trying to get closer to Hilda (but of course Hilda has told him she's in love with Albeiro for life, even though they're not together). Albeiro is now bewitched to hate CataG, although if the spell were broken, he'd probably want to be with CataG the most, even though he's been with Hilda all these years, and CataG's married to Santiago.
Although Yesica is meeting with Chalo, I believe Titi still thinks he killed Chalo last season. However, he actually killed Chalo's double, and Chalo had plastic surgery and looks different (actually a different actor). Sure.....
Juanita, I agree that it's hard to find someone to root for, when all the "good" characters are such idiots. Cata's boss is ALWAYS wrong, yet he's still in charge. Cata herself is a dope, I think back to last season, which started out with her putting Yesica in jail, gloating about how Yesica would NEVER get out of jail (she escaped about 2 episodes in). CataP (now CataM) is doing exactly the wrong thing to keep her man, Hernan. She should invite Mariana over, and pretend to be best friends with her, something like that. But no, she's too honest and earnest. Nacho (Hernan Dario) is a dunce, keeps getting drawn in to Mariana's spider web. Last season they were alone in her house, she dropped her towel, dropped a drug in his drink, and dropped his pants. She didn't get pregnant from that, but told everyone she did, and of course later got pregnant from Titi, we think.
So who can we root for? Well, if the good guys are losers, how about the bad guys? I'm especially enjoying Yesica, Chalo, and Mariana, who are WAY smarter than all the good guys put together. And crazy boy Martin is also making hay.
BTW, about the curse, 5 daughters have to die. But now the original 5 friends have two more daughters (Vanessa and Jota's new baby, Adriana, and Yesica's new baby (no name yet). So maybe one of THEM will die instead of CataM???
And how come every baby on this show is a girl? In fact, this whole show is run by females, with a few exceptions. Which is actually fine by me, after too many shows where the men run everything.
One last thing. How come I'm a little suspicious of Tony? Could he possibly be a bad guy? Hope not.
I was thinking when Diabla says the baby is hers, it means she owns it, if I remember the conversation she had with Daniela (when she was alive) she said she wanted the baby to control Albeiro but to make sure she wouldn't get emotionally attached she would use another mother.
I think Tony is going to be Cata G's love interest this show as she has pretty much ruined all the other guys that are obsessed with her.
it still amazes me that Cata G deciding to reveal that she was alive and coming to Colombia to help her family pretty much ruined everyone's life in the show.
Martin fills Villa in on the narco scene, that Chalo and Diabla are working together and now he understands why he got pushed out of Tijuana and what he needs to do, they land in Colombia and part ways before Titi arrives.
looks like Diabla's baby is a boy, something Albeiro has always wanted.
Cata G and Vanessa talk about the curse and agree they need to find the Bruja (Abigail, same one Diabla is using) to find out why.
Demonia Dayana gives Titi the good news about Cata G coming, it will only cost him $50K (perra)
Calvo and Hilda talk, Hilda is living in her old house, the one she lived in with Albeiro, if they were to live together it would have to be another place, with separate bedrooms, Calvo takes that for a win, and will start looking for one.
hmm, Calvo drives a cab, if I remember Hilda bought that for him.
Cata M and Hernan are living in his old house, Alberio was living in Diabla's old mansion.
Albeiro is asleep, Diabla unlocks a door in that dark place she lives and there is mummy Daniela, she brings her up to date and takes her for a drive to the old neighborhood, Calvo sees them and tells Hilda, then by Hernan's place, Cata p sees a narco car parked outside.
Daniel and Lucia (she's pregnant) bought a newspaper where they rip on corrupt politicians, they call Cata G, Villa broke Martin out of jail and he is now in Colombia, Cata G clicks that this is Titi's partner, he's meeting tomorrow, and guesses Martin is here as well, with Tony asleep in the car she awakes to a rose and note from Martin, next to her bed.
Diabla clashes with the baby's mother, tells her guy, Pig, to get rid of her after her milk is no longer needed, she over hears.
Villa is here to pick up 1000 keys of merc from Titi, and to see Diabla, and blows up because the merc isn't here and Titi hasn't found Diabla.
Deb: Something tells me Dakota Johnson will up the ante against the Guerrero's with deadly results.
DEB:
YES... Your comment abt how CG came back from the dead and ruined evrybodies lives!! OMG!!
too darn true...!! CP lamented that fact and threaten to kill herself.. after hearing abt Albiero sexual extortion by Diabla....did you mention a Daniela mummy!!
Chalo rebooted face that made him look creepy and his creepy perverted ways... he always wanted Daniela.. give her to him.. better not?? yuck,,shades of ted bundy….
Hombre :
excellent summery..good job..good point abt Titi,[ that's my man] !!!
I had to reread.. everybodies recapps it helps!!
Clavo and hilda!!SORRY BUT I GOT TO CALL BUSH@#$%T..HE NEEDS TO PAY!!
deb, many thanks once again for another very helpful recap. While I was watching the episode last night, I thought I understood more than I had before, but reading your recap made me realize that I still have a very long way to go. Still, thanks to you and Hombre, I'm in considerably better shape to deal with the novela than I was just a couple of days ago.
Since Yesica's baby is a boy, that ends my theory about all girl babies!
I think (could be wrong) that 1) Yesica was pregnant with Albeiro's baby last year, but got in a car accident, and can't have kids now. But 2) she used Albeiro's sperm with this poor woman who had the baby, so it is Albeiro's, but not hers. 3) Since she has HIV, she may have given it to Albeiro. BTW, that mummy thing is great! Yesica is quite hilarious, driving around the mummified Daniela. I also noticed that locked room has hundred of candles. Does she light a new set each day?
We see Jimena, whose daughter Valentina is going to college. Jimena is aware of the curse, tells Val to be careful. But why, Ma? Are you hiding something from me?
Yes, Cata G said her price was $20,000, and Dayana told Titi it was $50,000. Hah!
Great idea of Cata to keep Tony outside, and sleeping in the car. Now Martin's in the house. Uh oh.
season 4, I can see it now, an emotional love story between Albeiro's son and Mariana's girl, as they work through the trauma of their childhood.
btw, #sinsenossihayparaiso on twitter usually has running tweets while the show is on, but also funny to read later on.
I'm writing to let everyone know that LXV, who has done a wonderful job as co-jefa with me on the Telemundo y Más site since 2015, is stepping down.
