Bela_Ep_30 A Pene saved is a Pene ah, well, kinda wrinkled

Pene is still in the tub, but alive; she gets her hands loose as she flashes back to Mike talking to her when she took so long in the hand untying test where Bela did so well. #3 I would say, no other explanation after all this time, and underwater too.

Bela & BBB are at the mirror as Bela tells her that she is ugly forever. She gets out a gun and lays it on the dresser in front of BBB. BBB is having what looks like a nervous breakdown, and her face looks worse than the last time we saw her.

Simon goes to BBB’s house and shoots the lock, goes in and pistol drawn looks for BBB and Bela.

Bela is laying it on thick on BBB. BBB is crying as Bela lays the pistol on dresser and tells her she can end it all. Bela has on examination gloves as there looks to be cooties on BBB's face. "And BTW I'm only 23 you old beyoch"

Simon is skulking around and finds the tub of water, but no Pene, she is running down the street because her cornrows are shrinking and making her ears pointed. Just kidding.

JP runs into Bela outside and overhears a gunshot upstairs. Bella tells JP she didn't kill BBB. JP asks about the face and Bella says BBB provoked it. JP says that she won...she got her way....she does things how and when she wants. He frees her from her promise.

The Beasts are talking about distributing BBB's part of the assets and toast to her. The beast meeting continues. Cristina wants to wait things out, but the bearded guy doesn't like the idea. Senator reminds them when Hor told them about JP. Antonio reminds him how the other beasts died, but Senator tells them that they were being investigated by JP.

Bel and Eman—Bela crying her eyes out to Eman. She tells him a bullpoopy story about being kidnapped by BBB at the dealership. BBB realized that she was Enrique’s daughter and wanted to kill her, but she escaped, supposedly, and then ran into JP.

JP Simon and Ric. JP insists that Bella caused the deaths and Simon defends Bella. Ric comes and reminds JP that Bella only went to the dealership to buy a car. Ric thinks that when BBB found out that Bella was back in Mexico she wanted to do her in. JP thinks the country is full of corruption and they as cops are worthless

Beasts still wondering what is happening. They talk about how they are all in danger. Antonio thinks that whoever survives will stay with all the assets. Cristina then thinks that one of them is the mastermind behind all the deaths. Senator reminds Cris that she is also present so she is suspect too. Antonio just loves everyone. Senator still thinks they shouldn’t rule out JP. Antonio also thinks JP is involved. Cris still thinks that it is just a coincidence and that the deaths just happened.

JP and Simon are watching BBB’s funeral from a distance and still trying to figure out what is REALLY happening. Where is Omar? Simon reiterates that he saw Omar running out of the house. He isn't sure how Omar is involved. JP thinks that the country is full of corruption and they, as cops, are worthless.
 

So now Ric has Bela at the fed agency for questioning. JP tells her she should have a lawyer there with her, but Bela says she has nothing to hide; so she doesn't need a lawyer. When JP says she wasn't kidnapped, Bella says prove it. Ric gets fed up and throws out JP from the fed agency. Once alone, Bella tells JP that she is sorry; she offers to talk to Ric but JP tells her no. He just wants her to stop lying. Bella thinks he just wants to put her in jail, but JP just wants to protect her. (Jail is safe)...Ric comes back and JP goes off on him about how the justice system sucks.

JP gives his big shithead speech to everybody after Ric makes good on his promise and fires him. BooHoo.

The Beasts are at BBB’s grave. There are just the three men and the one woman now. Have they taken a headcount lately? Senator is going to start by watching his own back. Ignacio thinks they should unite even more now. He reminds them of why they started this association…because they trusted each other. He says, “We're not going to end up killing each other; or are we?” Leni and Omar are NOT at BBB funeral. Antonio swears that he would never hurt any of them; each of the others assure that they wouldn't do anything against each other either.

Uh Huh...Sure...gets it's own line.

Pickle and Eman. Pickle thinks that Emi lost her job because of her. Eman says one thing has nothing to do with the other. Eman says they should just wait a few days. Pickle says that if he gives Emi back her job he will never see her (Pickle) again. Threat or Promise?

Emi in house crying and remembering her beast of a dad…who knows why. I think somebody told her she cries cute.

Pene and Mike at home now. Pene can't believe that Omar and Len just disappeared. Pene remembers. that Omar was talking to someone who had Len. She worries that Omar knows everything about them, but Mike doesn’t seem too worried. Bela arrives and Pene notices that she is very upset.

JP and Simon are talking. JP needs to think about what he is going to do now. He needs to find work somewhere. Meanwhile, Bela tells Mike and Pene that it isn’t fair that JP lost his job because of her…he was just trying to do his job. Mike reminds her that JP did everything in his power to figure out what they were doing. He warned her to be careful with JP and that their relationship would get nowhere.

Simon comes to visit and Mike does not let him in the door, but Simon pushes his way in…right into a friggin hornets nest of a hive full of pissed off hornet fists. Thankfully Bela and Pene come and save Simon before he can manage to commit suicide. Mike is far the better boxer. It looked like a guy beating up a kid.
 

Pickle tells Emi that she went to talk to Eman. Emi is pissed and tells her she shouldn't get into her business. Emi tells Pickle that she doesn't need her help. She forbids Pickle from acting like the good mother...it’s too late for that…she needs to leave her alone

Simon and Mike into it again at the gym. Bella never thought Ric would fire JP. Simon is pissed because they didn’t allow them to help or handle the case. He blames Bella for JP getting fired. Simon slimeball pulls his gun on Mike and arrests him and puts him in jail. Simon tells Mike that this should make it clear who is in authority…he will stay there for 48 hours.

Pene and Simon out at a restaurant and she tries to leave and he grabs her and she kinda cries out like he hurt her. Simon tells her that the Mike’s two days in jail was for real. Pene admits to being in BBB’s house the night she died. Simon doesn’t condone what Bela is doing, but he understands why Bella is doing it. He doesn't understand why Pene is helping her. Pene explains why she is so loyal to Bela. She's the only one who doesn't laugh at that hair?

Emi calls Eman and leaves message; she knows he doesn't want to talk to her, but she just wants him to know that she had nothing to do with her mother going to talk to him. He does not care. WE don't care. The bird in the tree doesn't care.

Bela and JP meet out at a park to talk. Bella asks what JP is going to do about a job. JP sarcastically says that maybe he should call his father's associates. He still wants her to tell him the truth. If it's not going to be like that then they have nothing together. She says I love you but JP tells her that what she says and what she does just don't jive. Boo Hoo.

Episode was firey. That was Kind of A slick the Way bela got 3B to do herself in. But she might have done that anyway Because her looks were her life, and Without the beauty of herself she had nothing to live for. Her beauty Was gone. Of course it left long ago When she thought is was a good idea to live that life of darkness.

Pene saved herself, the catalyst seeming to be her UNDERWATER flashback
of a little motivational pep talk from Mike. You could just see a new
wave of resolve sweep over her and she came up like a submarine surfacing beside an enemy ship.

Simon is on my shit list. He is the new poster boy of a punk with a badge and a gun.
This with Mike is strictly about Pene, nothing else. As such, why not be a man and
take off the badge and gun and mix it up with Mike man to man? Or man to boy?
Bully with a badge. That just frosts me.

I really enjoyed Ric taking the wind out of JP's sails.
Sucks to be a mere mortal all of a sudden doesn't it Little Juan?
According to him, he and Bela can't be together as long as she will not
change into the person he demands she be. He isn't simply asking her to put the
Orange juice on the second shelf and milk on the third, he wants a whole different person.
He might do well to check back four dead beasts later. But for now, Bela is busy.

Is there a way to make my little recorder mistake Em & Em for commercials and just leave them out?

Pickle ain't much fun when she ain't drinkin. She was the best on her 'date' with Sata....Emanuel.

"Mike is far the better boxer. It looked like a guy beating up a kid". I was waiting for Mike to wrap Simon around the ropes like a pretzel. I felt he showed remarkable restraint.

"Simon tells Mike that this should make it clear who is in authority…he will stay there for 48 hours". Yeah, that'll teach him.

I wanted to see what happened after Pene saved herself. She was shaking and sobbing alone in the street...and then what? We were cheated. What did she say to Mike and how did he react?

It was interesting Pene said nothing to Simon. I suppose she couldn't but I felt if she really cared about him...

Last night was a turning point for me. While I feel BBB was loathsome and then some, it was coldly caclulating and disturbing when Bella gave her the gun. The disfigurement was enough of a punishment. I think BBB would have chosen suicide but providing the murder weapon crossed over the line of "allowable" revenge.

JP and Simon are perpetually one step behind. They aren't really even in the game relatively speaking. JP is just Bella's baggage.

I think Simon could be an interesting character. He wants justice but seems sympathetic to the victims (hence his changing his mind about Pene after learning what happened).

"He does not care. WE don't care. The bird in the tree doesn't care". Amen. What is the point of keeping Emi and Pickle in this??

"He warned her to be careful with JP and that their relationship would get nowhere". Sigh.

Your lovely feathered friends have the right idea. Wading in water to beat the heat.

Just two of many funny lines Kirby. Didn't watch after all (really don't want those images in my mind late at night) but delighted to learn that the fair Penelope has survived.

And sorry to hear that Juan Pablo has been fired but perhaps he can join the gang of three and make it a nice round vengeance-seeking four.

I'm liking how this plays out, reminds me of an old Agatha Christie novel in which she wrote "and then there were none". That looks to be how it's going.

Thanks. I fear we are all seeing a Bela who is becoming more and more indistinguishable from the beasts except for motivation...greed vs revenge.

It is a very thin line, and her coldly leaving a shattered BBB with a fingerprint free pistol was chilling. if she didn't cross it, she has a couple of toes on it.

Let's not forget BBB throwing the hot tea in Leni's face, and the way she treats everyone, but still, it seemsed worse, somehow, giving her a gun than when we see a shootout.
 

I agree Kirby...we're seeing the effect of violence on Bela's character. This is still a morality play like the "softer" telenovelas we have watched in the past. Instead of having a kindly priest preach forgiveness, we are instead watching the corrosive power of vengeance transform the character of a young woman, daughter of good parents with high values.

We become like those we hate and harm. Sobering message.

Steve, actually, I think I trust Simon more than Junior Prick, but I just don't like him. At least Simon understands what is driving Bela and Pene (Mike, maybe not so mucho), and wanted to work with them. JP is just a little SOB. Son of a Beast
 

Guess I am the only one who is not put off by Bela leaving Madame the gun. It sure beat Bela shooting her herself. If the bestias are left alive and especially wounded like Madame, they will continue to be a threat now that Bela has started her revenge mission which is a “no holds barred” venture. Bela was changed and maybe lost the moment her family was murdered.

Stolen casino money
Armored truck stolen the second time at gun point
Stolen cars at gunpoint

Maybe with the parental blood in her heart. Though she is on a slippery slope, think back to what these monsters did to her. And she is only alive because she was at the wrong place at the right time.

I look at it and think, if there had a couple, or even ONE convicted while she was in the orphanage, maybe no. But for five years the Police did nothing, which in my experience is representative of real life.

Jarifa, you are not alone on this one. I wasn't that put off by Bella leaving the gun either. BBB had a choice and she chose to kill herself. I think she would have eventually killed herself even if Bella hadn't left the gun...so if you look at it that way, Bella actually saved her some misery.

JudyB, I was sorry to see JP fired too. Ric is being SO unreasonable and worthless as a director. He's stuck on his notion that JP is inept...he keeps putting up barriers for JP; yet he believes every word Bella says...where is his objectivity.

Thank your, kirby. I cannot really watch this show..too violent and dark plus the camera angles drive me batty, but I do surf in and out.

Watching two guys go at each other is always so scary. The actor playing Mike made it look very real as if he has been in some fights himself ! He kept charts by Simon. Like two stags in the forest!

I am waiting for a more traditional telenovela since real life causes me enough angst and worry. Leaving that gun with disfigured BBB was awful.
 

The masculine appeal to me here is tepid.

The most important things to me are sense of humor, a great smile, personality.good looks don't hurt. Mike is none of those except good looking.

I like the actor but JP is leaving me flat.

Simon is cute but...

Ohhh, Marco Mendez. Be still my heart. Rgv Chick, although the bun drove me to near distraction, the man is sizzling hot. He just can't help it. The first time I saw him was as a villain in Querida Enemiga. He was great in La Verdad Occulta and so many others.

P.s. If you are in need of a good cry, I suggest watching ",A Dog's Purpose." Which made me cry for every dog I have ever loved and lost...and for our older daughter's sweet Canadian Duck Toller who is getting older and not doing so well. Poor Ruby.

I don't know what you do when you live in a country that is corrupt from top to bottom and there is no justice. Bella is a damaged soul to leave that gun for BBB, but these arrogant ruthless elites feel they are above the law and by-the-book JP and Simon are no match for them.

On a lighter note, Mike is my heart throb, but that haircut does absolutely nothing for him. And the writers have failed to give us some shirtless shower scenes. Simon and JP probably clean up well though.
 

P.s. Diana...Marcos Mendez..dark hair and blue eyes..........oh, hells yes.

Niecie, you just made me laugh, ...the writers have failed to give us some shirtless shower scenes.

This reminded me of Mi Adorable Maldición which was the first TN I watched in recent times. There was a good-looking guy in the TN, a ranch foreman, who in one scene takes his shirt off to take a shower. When the shirt came off I said to myself, "Wow, this guy must really work out a lot!" and then didn't think more about it.

About the third scene in which he took his shirt off I started wondering, what is this? And then I really had to laugh at myself when it dawned on me that I was watching TN beefcake for the ladies.

Oh, well, fair is fair. I appreciate scenes with good-looking women... even when they don't take off their shirts. (Though Ada came deliciouly close in Ramoon. )

Ot...Diana..I watched "A Dog's Purpose" on one of our cable channels and cried a lot. However, it had a happy ending. I thought the guy who did the voice of Olaf the Snowman in "Frozen" (which I have watched many times ) was the voice of the dog. if you watch, hydrate and have a box of tissues next to you.
 

Maybe Pickle, in one of her rare sober moments, will insist to JP that Emanuel was, indeed, one of her husband's socios and by the magic of telenovela beani-ness, instantly deduce that Em assassinated his father and join the trio of vigilantes to completely run out the bestias.

Rena, you are right, it is all make believe...we tend to forget that and sometimes we get just get caught up in our emotions because it is/can be so true to life.

Anon 3:00 I sure hope Pickle does insists t JP about Eman...and hopeofully JP will figure out that Eman has much more to do with the socios that he thinks.

BTW, when the beasts were contemplating who was behind all the deaths, I wonder why they didn't consider Eman since he is a dis-socio. We know he's not, but if they thought he was; maybe they would all turn against him and try to do him in.

OT- Nina, no, I haven't heard from Mauricio; and since he hasn't posted any more recaps since last Tuesday, I haven't wanted to comment on the episodes after that. I'm not sure what his rules are for commenting on episodes that haven't been posted...I suppose I'll never know if I don't ask, right?


 

And although Pene saved herself, it was remembering that stern 'take no prisoners' speech from Mike which seemed to be the turning point as she faced drowning in the tub.

Will that and Simon locking Mike up change things among those three? I mean, before, or if, Mike doesn't kill him?

Kirby, I'm not seeing Simon quite as confrontational as you might be. I honestly thought he was there for JP but maybe Mike was (is) a red flag.

I never think it's a good idea to hit a policeman but in retrospect, I think pulling Simon "in" was a bit over that top.

I would be thrilled never to see Emi again.

Episode 31, Part 1: ♫Let’s Get it On♫
We start off at JP’s house where Pickle is down in the dumps. She tells JP about how she had a big fight with Emi. Emi told her lots of ugly stuff and she is boohooing about it. She thought she could help Emi by going to talk to Eman; she thought Eman would give Emi back her job. JP will talk to Emi. When Pickle asks how he is, he tells her that they ran him off from his job because he was trying to do the right thing. When he comments that he understands why his father went the other way, Pickle tells him not to even think that way. He is not like his father. She is proud that JP wants to change the world. Hard to do when all three of you are going to be in the unemployment line huh?

Pene is with Simon at his house and tells Simon that she runs her own life and makes her own decisions When he asks what she will do, she SHOWS him with a liplock.

JP goes to talk to Emi. He knows losing a job is difficult, but not enough to drown oneself in bed. When he throws back the bedcover, Emi is not there. Instead, Emi is at Interpol arguing with the secretary because she wants to go in to talk to Eman. She throws her name around but the secretary doesn’t shake in her boots. Emi manages to go into Eman’s office where he is meeting with none other than Cristina, but Cristina leaves once Emi enters. Eman tells Emi that will be the last time she enters his office like that. He means, CLOTHED we ask?

Bella looks at her beast board as does JP. They seem to do that a lot. Bella throws a dart and it lands on Antonio’s (El Colombiano) picture. Great strategy for picking the next target.

Antonio is with the Senator giving him a present for his wife and Elenita…probably lingerie because that is his line of business. Senator is still thinking about JP. He never was in agreement that JP join the federal agency.

Ignacio, El Cafetero, is with Pickle. Pickle tells him she is not very broken up over Madame’s death since she didn’t hold her in high regard. Ig then asks about Armando’s death.

Cris arrives with the Senator and tells about her visit to Eman. She tells the Senator and Antonio that Eman assured her that JP is the straightest cop there could be. Senator wonders whether the feds have some type investigation going on, but Cris says the one who worries her is Emi…she thinks Eman and Emi have some type of relationship. Yes, they both have a relationship with Emanuel.

Em & Em are at a restaurant. Eman is not happy; he brings up that Emi tried to set him up with her mother which was very embarrassing. He had to drag her out of there because she was so drunk. Eman then tells Emi that she is childish and immature. It makes it different saying it out loud?

Pickle tells Ig about Emi losing her job at Interpol. Her son JP was also thrown out of the federal agency. Just then JP walks in and wonders what Ig is doing there. JP asks Pickle to leave them alone.

 

Episode 31, Part 2: ♫Let’s Get it On♫

Emi is groveling and wants Eman to assure her they aren’t over. She wants another a chance. She will do whatever he asks as long as he doesn’t leave her. But just please don't make me take my little shreds of clothes off ...said Brer..Emi Rabbit

JP notes that his father died several years ago and wonders what Ig is doing there after all this time. Ig says something happened today that made him think of them. Ig gives him some advice—he should rethink his life. He knows JP doesn’t know him very well, but advises that JP explore other paths. Paths? The one getting very worn that goes to the cemetery you say?

Pene is giggling; she wants to negotiate Mike’s freedom. Simon wants to go for it first or there is no deal. Pene kisses him some more. If Mike only knew what this woman is about to do for his freedom.

Eman is willing to forgive Emi. She can continue working with him and they will continue their relationship, but she must stop acting like a child. Um..OK

Senator wonders how Armando’s daughter ended up working with Eman. Antonio points out the Eman is not a saint; he probably wants JP close. Cris, however, knows that Eman has always like the younger ones. Sen thinks Eman should return to the association, but Ig wants to invite JP into the game since he is very vulnerable right now. JP will contribute because he has a friend inside the fed agency.

Emi thinks that Eman wants a slave, but Eman just wants her to act mature. When she says that she doesn’t want to change, he counters that he didn’t tell her to change, but she needs to know how to behave with a powerful man. When she decides what she is willing to do, she knows where to find him.

Bella goes to see JP and wants to talk. She knows she betrayed his trust with so many lies. She wants his forgiveness. JP doesn’t know who she is anymore; he doesn’t know whether to believe her. Bella tries to put in a word, but JP goes on--he needs to accept her how she is and what she wants. If she wants to avenge her parent’s death, he needs to accept it. He knows the country let her down. He is going to fulfill his promise—he will help her. Bella then tells him that she is there to get him back; she doesn’t want to lose him. JP doesn’t want to lose her either. He just wants to feel what he feels; he wants to kiss her.

Pene and Simon are getting it on. Simon likes her and her courage.

Emi walks into Eman’s office; so Eman knows that Emi accepted his conditions. Emi wants to know how he is going to welcome her as his woman. Eman asks her to close the door after she gets him some coffee. He then tells her to take off her dress.


 

Episode 31, Part 3: ♫Let’s Get it On♫

JP and Bella are getting it on too. Looks like this is the ♫Let’s Get it On♫ episode. The “take the strawberry from my mouth” thing is quite sexy. JP tells her he loves her and Bella reciprocates by telling him she loves him too.

The beasts are still meeting. They have decided to invite JP to join them…and also invite the sister. Senator thinks that she is just a child, but Cris points out the Emi is close to Eman and that could be to their advantage.

Emi and Eman are done and giggling. Emi thinks he is a rebel. Eman wants to hold the reins in the relationship; and Emi says that is clear. Eman then tells Emi that they can tell others about their relationship’ they can start with her brother and Bella.

JP and Bella are done too and now Bella is cooking. Bella tells him Ant, El Colombiano, is next, but JP suggests that she target Ig, El Cafetero, instead. Bella tells him that her decision has been made. The darts are never wrong........? JP then tells her that since he wasn’t able to help her as a cop, then he will help her by doing things her way since she has been successful three times. He will infiltrate the Beast group.

Pene goes to see Mike who is going to be released a few hours early, but not if he continues to be rude to Simon. Simon tells Mike that he should thank Pene because if it weren’t for her he’d stay many more hours. Simon then tells Pene that they will see each other later that night and that he likes her so that Mike hears. Mike wonders what is going on with Pene. Um Mikey, you just got boinked out of jail. Kinda like that special Monopoly card. Just go with it.

Bella thinks JP should join her team, but JP doesn’t know how her team works. He will help her only to fulfill his promise, but will not be part of her team.

Colombiano is at home with his pet tiger. He tells the cook to hurry because Junior is hungry. OMG he is wearing a long loose robe with tiny briefs…he should wear boxer shorts because he definitely is not deserving of a RAWRR! He goes and talks with some chick…wife/girlfriend??? about the next line of underwear. Were those Garanimals he had on?

The B team talk. Pene doesn’t think that El Colombiano should be next; she thinks they should target the Senator since she knows info on him. Bella thinks they should wait some time before starting on their next target so that things can cool down. Pene doesn’t think they should wait. She argues and tells Bella that they are not her slaves. She walks off and Bella wonders what is up with Pene.

JP and Simon are talking. Emi comes in and tells JP that she has her job back. She then tells JP not to make plans for tonight because she and Eman will be going out to dinner with him and Bella.
Oh Boy.

Senator and Ignacio meet with Eman. Eman guesses that they want to talk about Emi. Ig laughs and tells him that they were worried when Cris told them about Emi. Senator thinks it’s a bad idea to have Armando’s daughter in his office, but Eman thinks Emi is a good employee and she won’t be a problem. Senator then tells him that they want him to return to the association.

 

Steve, yes, with Emanuel there are 5 Beasts left.

This has to be the craziest band of cops and killers ever. The killers are good people who only kill bad people; the cops are dedicated and determined to uphold the law, except when it involves their killer girlfriends. In a way it reminds me of a 1992 movie, “Innocent Blood”, which was about a female vampire who only does in bad people. Then she finds a boyfriend (not a vampire) and has to warn him that she's dangerous when she gets excited, as in ready to bunny hop excited.

They manage the bunny hop without spilling any blood, but I don't remember the ending of the film. Did they get to live happily "forever" as vampires or what? The plot description at Wikipedia suggests not. So perhaps like JP and Bela :-p

Yes, Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On" seems to have been the theme of this episode. JP and Bella wasted a lot of good champagne and eletricity..geez, close the refrigerator door.
Mean reading Emi her rights and ...getting busy at Interpol..uff. And Pene and Simon dancing in the sheets. I wasn't sure if it was Big Mike or Simon.

As soon as I saw that tiger, I figured someone is going to be tiger brunch. Then, gargling Speedo guy in the flowing robe. Yes, I'll bet that a lot of people would like to kill this quirky dude.

Andy, I never saw that movie, but I was a big fan of Buffy which featured a Love story between a vampire and a vampire killer..an odd couple. I am a fan of Angel (David Boreanez).
 

I couldn't think of a more perfect title than "Let's Get It On" Rgv Chick. As always, the recap was creative and brimming with your signature wry humor. Loved it.

"She throws her name around but the secretary doesn’t shake in her boots" nailed it. Emi's brattiness was on full display but to absolutely no avail.

Not understanding the dialog, Simon wasn't really serious was he? I was really shocked (and disappointed) Pene was having a good old time with Simon while Mike was stewing in jail. While there certainly wasn't an undying love or really combustible chemistry between the two, I can't really tell what Pene and Simon feel for each other. I didn't realize until that point how much I wanted Pene with Mike. I just don't see that happening now.

So, now JP will pretend to join the beasts but will be a rogue agent, declining to be part of Bella's inner circle. He will now straddle the good/evil line, with more shades of gray than I can count. I've said before, Bella ceased teetering on the line, she crossed it when she gave BBB that gun.

I do not understand Pene. There were options open to her so that Mike would remove her from his friend zone. Apparently, she had neither the time nor inclination to wait. Flirting definitely caught Mike's attention and even the thickest individual could see the jealousy was working. A few kisses with Simon were really all that was needed. But, getting it on with Simon is a game changer. If Mike is mad now, wait till he finds out. Sinewy Simon is in for a beat down.

I like Mike, and don't much care for Simon. If he wants to be fair, he has to stop hiding behind that badge, that is just plain petty.

You can't go over to somebody's house at night, off duty, if there is such a thing, courting some girl, and then when some other fellow has the same idea, suddenly punch the timeclock and turn into an on-duty policeman and arrest your rival.

If Mike ever (Most Certainly) finds out it will not be pretty. And of course no TN fellow would be cool enough to just thank her and offer to pay for her getting checked out at her OB-GYN. You never know about them popo you know.
 

I have to say, I'm all jacked up over the tiger speculation. "Throw Them to the Lions" has been a favorite for ages hasn't it? Lion...Tiger...same difference.

Bela and Pene are in the ring sparing and it looks like Pene is much more serious about it than Bela.
Something is up with Pene, she's cocky. Bella isn't focused because she is still feeling bad about JP. Pene says she can be the leader but Bella says she just needs time. Mike should have known if these two get on the same schedule there will be cat war.

The Senator and Antonio discus Eman. They need to be careful with him.

Antonio and his assistant are with the animals. Antonio and the girl discuss some deal she worked on with China. He needs her to use her persuasive skills again.

Bela and Mike with Pene again. Pene still on a high horse. Pene tells Bela and Mike about Antonio's import-export business. Mike wants Bella and Pene to fix their problem or they can't count on him.

JP flashbacks to the time in the car with his Dad. And he talks to a big picture of him. Sarcastically thanks him for who he is.

Emi and Eman at work. Emi tells Em that the plans for dinner are made. She asks if he and her mother talked about her father when they went to dinner. She wants to know what relationship he had with her father. He tells her they were only associates through the club.

We are now in Columbia with two girls and the phone rings and it is Antonio's assistant calling. The two girls are worried that they don’t have a job. One is named Veronica and she gets a call from Antonio's assistant that she has been selected as a model. Vero asks about her cousin, Suzy, but she wasn't selected. Vero tells the assistant that she can't accept. The assistant wonders if she isn't going to accept just because of her cousin. Vero tells her she promised her cousin they would both work or nothing at all.

Comeback gym...Bela and Pene are fighting , verbally. Bela thinks Mike is right. They can't go on like that. Pene wants to know what Bela is going to do with the Madame's money. Bella tells her she is going to save it for Omar and Leonor. Pene is pissed because Omar almost killed her…and she isn't going to see one peso. Bella tells her justice is her objective. Pene tells her maybe that is HER objective. ( as in Bela's ONLY) Then maybe next time Bela, YOU can have some spa time in a tub.

Antonio and assistant and some other fellow with his animals. Antonio has a high powered rifle. Assistant tells Antonio that one of the models rejected his offer. He is upset that she couldn’t get the model so he threatens to shoot down more birds because he is sooo stressed; so assistant tells him she will work on it and asks him not to take it out on the animals.

Bela and Pene talking a bit more civil now. Bela admits that she has been selfish and asks Pene to forgive her. Pene tells Bella that she has never lived in a house as nice as hers. She has to think of her future’ and she is not going to live her whole life there and helping Bella. Pene wants security. When this is finished what will she do? What will she be left with? Bela understands; so she tells Pene that they will keep the money for themselves. They kiss and make up. Money talks, bullshit walks Bela.

Antonio's assistant out at lunch and some guy is getting aggressive hitting on her and Emi happens to be nearby and Emi defends her. The girl thanks her because no one had done that for her. The assistant invites her to lunch. Does horny guy realize the danger he was in with a pissed off Emi? Like being nibbled to death by ducks.
 

JP shows up at Antonio's door, and in shock, Antonio invites him in. Antonio allows JP to watch him admire a stuffed rare Bengal Tiger he has in the living room. KILLER Antonio talks about the tiger weighing 150 kilos; Antonio killed him with one shot. Yeah it was probably tied up to a friggin tree. killer

Bela and Pene go to see Mike. Pene and Bell are alll giggles...they made up. While they were making up he was researching. He found that Antonio likes exotic animals and has a tiger. Mike said something about how it will be difficult to get to Antonio since he is not a Mexican citizen?

Then Antonio and JP go outside to see the live one who appears to have been reading Caray and apparently has become verrrra hungry. Antonio got it from India. JP tells him he is no longer an agent. Antonio tells him he can't give him any contact info, but JP doesn’t want contacts; he is looking for a job. Antonio loves JP's family but he just can't offer JP a job selling underwear. JP offers to do security. JP compliments Antonio on his skin as he looks very young. Antonio doesn't think he needs security at his home, but JP suggests he do security for his business. JP knows that Antonio has hired 10 girls as models and nine have disappeared. JP insists that Antonio can use his services to protect himself.

Emi and Antonio assistant at lunch and talk about their future plans. Girl tells her she wants to be a model. Emi has to leave and gives the assistant her number after a lot of girl talk. The assistant's name is Negrita or something.

In Columbia, Vero and Suzy talk about succeeding and the problems with going away to work. They will be all alone. Suzy suggests that she can accompany Vero to Mexico so Vero can take the modeling job.

Back with Antonio and JP....has anybody in this show gone an entire day sober? Antonio still talks about his kills. He tells JP that feds have questioned him and they have found nothing since he knows nothing about the girls. Anyone can come looking and they will find nothing. JP suggests that he has contacts who can be of service to Antonio. JP is trying to worm his way in but does not have much luck and leaves.

Bela, Mike, and Pene discuss Antonio and his models. Mike tells B and P about the missing girls and how the cops have done nothing because they can't find any evidence. Bela thinks they can go in as models. Mike tells them there is an opening for assistant director. Both girls volunteer for that position; so Bella tells Pene she can take it, but Pene thinks Bella should take it.
The girls wonder what conditions the tiger is being kept under. If bad conditions, they need to rescue it. Bela wants to know what Antonio is hiding and how he is getting the animals. Mike says that it will be difficult to prove anything because Ant has a military background.
The Columbian girls are talking to Antonio's assistant again and lose the connection. They are really interested in this job. Vero and Suzy still discussing Vero going to work as a model She should call and tell them she is interested.

Antonio asks his assistant how it went with Emi. The assistant tells him it went well, but the the girl has a “special” personality. ... "Special,"........code for CooCoo for Cocoa Puffs. Skinny too.

 

Then Antonio calls Cristina to tell her what just happened with JP.

Emi and Eman in the elevator. Next

Bela and Pene with the kitchen knives playing some silly stabbing game to see who applies for the assistant job at the Ant Farm.

JP calls Bela and tells her about going to see Antonio.

Antonio and his assistant at a sewing factory. The assistant tells Antonio that having an ex fed come ask for a job is suspicious and he should be careful. Antonio tells her that the associates want to bring JP in, and girl again warns him to be careful because he might be set up. Ha Ha Ha, Ho,Ho, Ho, Nooooo.

The Columbian girls call and talk to Antonio's assistant. Vero is willing to take the job. Her cousin will go with her, but not to work as model. The assistant tells her to think about it because if she had doubts it was for a reason and it could be a sign. She should reconsider not taking the job.

JP and Simon at a bar. Has anyone gone a whole day sober? JP asks Simon for a favor…to go visit someone.

Bella shows her next disguise. She hopes she gets the job with Antonio.

Assistant tells Antonio to test JP to make sure he is going to be loyal. Antonio agrees. The phone rings and no one answers so the assistant gets up complaining that she needs an assistant right away. Then she gets a call from the maid that the house is surrounded by the feds. No, wait, it's worse it is the Jehovahs Witnesses handing out The Watchtowers...:-)

I share Pene's indignation that Omar should get his share of the money after trying to kill her. But, when Bella said they would keep the money, she didn't mean Lenore's too, right? But, we've seen nothing to indicate Lenore shouldn't get hers.

Those poor girls in Columbia, dying to get modeling jobs. I hope they stay put. I really do not want to watch any kind of "canned" hunt with young women.

The tiger gets screen time. We learn about its childhood, how it got to Antonio. Bela and Penny want to rescue it. A am going to agree that the tiger has a role to play with this bestia.

JP asked Simón to do a "motivational" raid on Columbian's house. To show that he could use some help of the ex federal agent.

I was surprised that Andrea (Antonio's assistant) tried to talk the Colombian girls out of taking the job with "Panties MX." She also asked Antonio not to shoot the birds as a method of relaxations. She seems to have compunctions with violence and abuse.

Andrea may have an inkling of what goes on with Antonio but not the full picture, that is kinda what I thought reading between the lines.

My comment about the dead tiger was tongue in cheek, but in reality, many times these big game hunters brag and show pictures or video of their game, when in fact it is staged with tame and or captive animals. You see some big fat fart who looks to need help getting into his Range Rover and wonder how he won, even with a gun, against a big ass lion. THAT's how.

So Antonio was plunking Robins and Crows with a deer rifle with a scope? OK

Remember this when Antonio becomes Kibbles and Bits or Fancy Feast.

Human trafficking is another area which sends me into orbit. Many times the first thing these people do is inject the girls (against their will) with some highly addictive narcotic like heroine for a few days to turn them into raving addicts, then they are captive.

Diana, yes, the beasts are getting quite loathsome. I'm so glad Andrea, Antonio's assistant, seems to have a conscience as Lucio so eloquently pointed out. Let's hope Vero gets the hint and stays away...but then there are the future others that Antonio will be needing for his new supply that is coming in. Hopeofully Antonio will be tiger chow by that time.

Jarifa, a friend of mine brought up Kika when he heard those Colombian girls; so yes, very similar accents. Diana, I can't believe you haven't searched for the finale of Papa...what resolve...either that or it just wasn't on your Top 10 of things to do :-)

Jarifa, Pene said it best...Bela was being quite selfish and never gave a thought as to how this would end for Pene and Mike. I'm glad that Bela actually listened to her and did something about it. Diana, maybe Bella will keep Omar's portion of the money and give Leonor her money whenever and if ever she finds her.

Thinking about the whole issue with Penélope. It goes to a common theme of the novelas: money and social class. It never crossed Bela’s mind that Penélope might want/NEED the money because Bela was raised in a situation where money was not a concern for her. Evidently that was not the same for Penélope.

Kirby. How does one join your photo club.? Several of the patio peeps are always commenting on your beautiful bird pix! Is this a secret clu with secret handshakes? I can only imagine the birds as they are being praised for their beauty.

I usually don't watch the whole show but I did catch the young Colombian women and their accent. Shades of Kika! Though Kika was really over the top with the accent. I also got the impression that the girls were far from rich, which I suppose fuels their motivation to succeed.

Yes Diana, the early morning light does wonders for color. The birds and I both are more energetic before it gets to be ninety nine degrees out there.

A few more details about those girls....

When talking to JP about the missing girls, Antonio says that they are, after all, girls, so they are pretty and stupid. They meet a man with money and start their own business. JP wonders how the same thing could happen to all 9 girls. Antonio then says that the cops, and even the president himself, can come look and they will find nothing there. JP suggests that he can help with avoiding questions from the cops and with the permit for Junior, the Tiger…and he has his contacts that can be of use to Antonio.


Then, when Mike tells Bella and Pene about the missing girls, he mentions that the families have reported them missing. The common denominator is that it’s the Colombiano’s (Antonio’s) company. and no one has had the nerve to report them.

Kirby, thanks for the further info on the missing women. Just out of curiosity I did some internet searching and I was amazed at just how many women go missing all over the world, although I already knew it was a problem to "some" extent.

Interesting how this TN sometimes presents Bestias (and their henchmen, like Norman) as not so bad... until we later get to see just how bad they are.

Given their life stories, Bela or especially Pene could have been trafficked when they were younger.
Additionally it is odd that for her parents to have been so young, (say Bela's age plus twenty or so), that she has no living Grandparents and conveniently landed in the orphanage..
At the time of their death her parents should have been in the vicinity of forty or so and her Grandparents only sixtyish and under seventy now.
