General

Ah, San Antonio, Steve. I love that town. Only visited once, but it was Labor Day weekend and there was a big Tex-Mex fiesta then. I saw Flaco Jiménez live!

My friend and I spent a bundle on taxis driving to the West Side to Latino clubs where we could dance cumbia, merengue, Mexican polkas, etc.

I also enjoyed the part of town where you can do a walking tour of beautiful Victorians, as I remember constructed by German immigrants to Texas.

Cata G turns down Miguel's offer to come back, Miguel calls off Tony, Cata G is upset they are going to cut a deal with Diabla.

Sandra works on Cata M to give Gabriel a chance, Cata sees that Sandra likes him, tells her to ask him out, but does say that if Hernan cheats on her again, that's it.

Demonia leans on Villa to do away with Cata M so she can be the Beauty Queen, he gives the job to Titi, (but does he specify which Cata), Demonia rewards Villa as Dani's song plays, "Chica Mala".

Miguel visits Diabla, he wants concrete proof that Chalo is alive and his location, Diabla wants a document that states she's free once he finds Chalo, but first she wants Dani's ashes, Miguel throws in that in order to release her she will have to be extradited to the U.S., here she would be subject to Colombian justice.

Jota and crew finally leave town, heading for Quinchia.

Albeiro tells Cata M why Hilda left, to find answers.

Demonia butters up Villa, wants to be married before they live together, she is a lady, he proposes, also she can't keep on doing her same job, she wants to learn the business and be the best.

Jota's crew stops to eat, Paola asks Hilda if she still loves Carlos, Hilda tells of Laura, like the time she cut up her dad's pants and gave the scissors to Hilda, Carlos thought she did it, and doesn't like that she is always blaming Laura, thunder cracks as they are on their way.

Demonia wants to be a better narco than Diabla or even Griselda Blanca (real person).

Demonia is wearing out Villa, he plans to visit a coke lab with Titi, a guy thing, she wants to go, he tells Titi his new "partner" is going with them.

Daniel calls Jota, he will join him, leaving Lucia alone, Martin waits across the street, then comes in to get in a few licks.

hmm, the name of their newspaper is Despertar.

I thought the scenes between Dayana and Villa were surprisingly sexy. I say "surprisingly" because, although lots of people in the novela have sex, very little of it seemed all that sexy.

I appreciated the humor in your "to get in a few licks," but I'm afraid my enjoyment was overpowered by the disgust I felt watching Martin. Having to watch him with Vale was bad enough, but to have to see him at it again, and with a more sympathetic victim, made me furious at the writers and at Telemundo.

I'm with Juanita. Can they just hurry up and kill off Martín already. The whole thing is just perverse, and I wonder about the people who made this, that they think we're voyeuristic enough to enjoy seeing someone like Martín.

I'm not sure of the relationship between TeleColombia and Telemundo USA. At the beginning of the show they put up that it's a Colombian production. So maybe Colombians like a little sadism in their telenovelas?

Also, something's off about this "road trip". They said it was 97 kilometers to this town and it would take them 3 hours to get there. That's 60 miles. Even if you're not going the speed limit, I can't see three hours.

And Hilda missed this Carlos when he abandoned her? She should have gotten on her knees and given thanks for his leaving her, especially since he apparently took Laura, the Bad Seed.

Halimacandy, we are on the same page! That idiot Jota! And, he's obviously not playing with a full deck so why is HE driving. There's a car full of women whose individual IQ's have to be 50 points above his, each and every one. So because he has testosterone in his body, he drives?

I am also curious to see Laura in the flesh, but I suspect they may drag it out for a few days. Nothing ever happens when you expect it to in this show.

Evageline, babies are nearly always safe in telenovelas. They threaten them from time to time, but they know the bulk of their audience is Latinas, very family oriented, at least the ones I know are like that.

And, Lucía appears to be far enough along that, if she went into labor from Martín kidnapping her, the baby would probably live.

I suppose the best that could come from this is that Lucía is a lot more level-headed than Valeria and, combined, they may figure out a way to defeat Martín's plans, whatever they are.

It does begin to seem as if he wants to lure CataG to his side, as one of our commenters mentioned (deb?) a while back.

I think Dayana is biting off a little more than she can chew. She wants CataM dead, she wants Villa to marry her, AND she wants to be in the drug business. All Villa gets is faked sex (he likes it, but he didn't see her expression while they were doing it (not of pleasure). Dayana is definitely going to run out of luck at some point. The producers had to use a very large blurred area to cover up her enlarged "assets".

CataG wants out of all this, is planning to take her family back to the USA. Miguel says maybe Yesica could be conditionally released, but it would have to be in the USA. Uh oh.

The three days we've been waiting for the DNA results seem to be taking ages!

I wonder how long it took to put all those casts and things on Liset for her 2 minute scene.

Gabriel can't help it - he loves CataM. Why? Well she's...pretty, and... smart. So I guess there are no other pretty and smart young ladies in the class that aren't living with a guy?

It's always so handy that bad guys have those handkerchiefs with ether or something like that on them.

Martin leaves a note to Cata G, his main dish, from cannibal Cruz, on one of the newspapers, takes Lucia home for dinner.

Daniel meets up with Jota, calls Lucia, no answer.

Mariana wants the family to go back to Miami.

Santi tells Cata G he's free, asks her to marry again, she still has doubts, so they go on a lunch date.

Titi jacks up Dayana alone, says he brought her to the house, what she gets is his, she tells him to calm down, it ages him.

Miguel wants to expedite the deal with Diabla, his boss wants some assurance.

the Colonel shows up to move Diabla to a maximum security prison, Diabla spits in his face.

Titi with Villa and clinging Dayana, and a second car full of guards, are off to the lab, did Titi refer to Dayana as Meryl Streep?

Cata G and Santi are working through their pre-nuptial checklist, 1) Mateos, they decided he should not live with them because Soraya would always be there meddling, but the house is always open for visits.

Diabla plays with the guards, wants a cigarette, promises anything and after getting a few puffs pushes it into the side of the guards face.

Titi and his guys are stopped to let Diabla's convoy by, they speculate.

2) Santi wants to know if Cata G loves him, hmm, not as much as before, Santi admits he made a mistake, swears it won't happen again, check.

Daniel calls Lucia's doc, she didn't show for her appointment.

Villa and Dayana tour Titi's drug lab.

Cata M quizzes Alberio on his strange behavior when with Diabla, does he still love them? of course, and Cata G? Cata G will always be the love of Albeiro's life, but she broke his heart, that's the reason he took up with Hilda, and he would never hurt her.

3) did Cata G fall for someone when they were apart, no one that rocked her world, and Albeiro? hmm, Alberio will always be the love of her life, she was always honest with Santi about him, but she hurt him and he had a right to move on, let's not talk about him, Santi agrees, now that everything is settled he pops out the ring again...

Did Martin switch off Lucia's phone? Could that be used to track Lucia back to his place?
I was really disgusted when he said that "the most important thing is invisible to the eye" and what was he going to cut thin and long? Was it Vale? I remember him feeding CataG really delicious food in sn2, turned out to be human meat, and his freezer was packed with human legs and arms.

Titi can see right through Dayana. Ooh, btw Hombre, I also noticed the look of Demonia's face. She almost looked disgusted when she was getting it on with Villa.

And what is this about someone else being the love of your life then telling it to other people, and being with someone else while in love with "the love of your life?"
-I am not sure that sentence even made sense, just as what CataG and Albeiro are saying isn't making sence-

Halimacandy, yes, some Lysol in Dayana's tub would be useful. Her drinking it might be even more so.

Thanks again, deb. I admire your ability to be brief and clear at the same time, not to mention the humor. You're a trouper for doing this for us.

I rather liked Albeiro's conversation with his daughter, CataM. Having read here the history of CataG going for the high life and, apparently, dumping this hunk of gorgeous man, what he said made a lot of sense. And he was treating his daughter like an adult, telling her the truth.

And, of course, in telenovelaland, once you're in love, that's it. Like a baby duck imprinted on a human instead of its mother, if ma isn't around, these characters mostly fall in love at first sight and nothing changes.

I'd feel sorry for Hilda, but I wish they'd just get it over with and have these two walk off into the sunset together.

And Santiago is just too simple and sunny for Cata. She's more suited to Albeiro or Titi.

I don't want to be relentlessly critical. Lots of people like this show. But, the pregnant woman tied up on the table that way. Ugh!

yep, enough with Martin, but wouldn't you think Cata G would have something better to do than a lunch date with Santiago, like finding him.

I was hoping Mariana would have pulled out a gun and shot him when he was in the throws of a new acquisition, surely cop mom would have a gun or two laying around, probably not, she probably doesn't have a gun now. that she gave it up.

Hernan and Cata M have there own connections where they can buy any kind of gun you want.

and isn't Mariana the sweet mom, I guess we should forget about her drugging and raping Hernan, she's not going back to Miami without him.

Jota and the girls, baby included, are like a bunch of chickens taking on a fox, I was relieved when Daniel threw in with them, but wait, now he has to go find Lucia, at least there will be an earnest person after Martin, who has studied his patterns, like knowing he is living out in the country.

Villa's turf is Mexico but I guess he has this place in Colombia, if he was a real capo, after he got what he wanted from Dayana, he would have tossed her.

in one of the early shows, Sin Tetas maybe, the narco had a crush on this movie star and sent Yessica to set her up for him, she offered her like a brand new Mercedes to spend the night with this narco and she finally bit, so the narco had his way with her and that was that, oh wait, she goes out to her car one day and it's gone, of course the narco has the keys too, and when she protests he shows her the videos of her in bed.

Albeiro is always lying down. I wonder if the actor has some physical problem, and that's influencing the story (although he did walk a bit with the baby).

Cata G takes the ring, accepto, Santi is elated and announces his new engagement to the whole restaurant.

Cata M is not comfortable with her dad being in love with her sister, tomorrow the DNA test results.

Daniel is worried, calls Rogelio, a guy he works with to check on Lucia.

Dayana pitches Villa creating a new lab, she'll run it, Titi is seeing betrayal and calls her on it, Villa wants to know what's up with Diabla, Titi passes the buck to Dayana, who calls her, no answer, but Miguel is on it with Diabla's phone.

Martin cooks, but has to run out for sea salt, Lucia's eyes pop open, she finds a knife and cuts the ropes, checks the freezers that are leaking blood, a couple of heads and other parts?

Martin gets his salt, Lucia gets the window grate opened.

Mariana gets the good news, her parents are back together.

Jota and crew get to Quinchia, tumbleweeds roll down main street, they find Carlos' old house, an empty chair rocks, Daniel gets word from Rogelio, Lucia was taken by Cannibal Cruz.

Ximena leaves with Daniel, and dumps all her anguish on him for losing Vale while he drives crazy fast, the fog rolls in on Carlos' house.

Mariana calls Sebas with the news and the whole family is in glee.

the Colonel arrives at Daniel's office, calls in CSI, it was a professional job, wait, one guy finds something on the broken window.

Hilda knocks but no one answers, Jota wants to leave, nope, Hilda hears someone inside, Jota kicks in the door, all scream.

including Lucia who made it to the road only to be intercepted by Martin, who gathers her up.

inside is Carlo's grandfather, alive?, yep, he recognizes Hilda and lets her know Carlos is still alive.

Dan and Ximena are back in Pereira, Ximena comments on how the city swallows people up.

Diabla arrives at the prison, her dark blue robe and undies go well with the blue uniforms and haze in the dark corridors, in a room is the Fiscal? (prosecutor), and Miguel who lets her know he is still waiting for word from the TEA.

Muchas gracias, deb, for another helpful recap that I enjoyed a lot more than the episode.

I find it hard to believe that CataG will marry Santiago. A day or so ago, novelera described him as being too "simple and sunny" for CataG, and that phrase kept occurring to me all through today's episode. My money is on Albeiro.

I was somewhat confused about Lucia's situation. We heard her phone ring while Martin was there. He decided not to answer it, but I didn't think he took the phone with him when he left to get the sea salt. I thus kept wondering why she didn't call Daniel or anyone else. I also wondered why she threw the stool against the window that had all the grating. It looked to me like there were other large windows that weren't barred. I also wasn't sure what to make of the large amount of blood on the floor. I took it to mean that she was going to lose the baby. However, given the perverse psyches of the novela writers, perhaps they're just playing with us. But that was an awful lot of blood.

Lucía is officially an idiot. She wastes about 10 minutes running around the house, even though she knows he's coming back, before figuring out the broken window technique. She manages to get out of the house but does not run to put any distance between herself and that house of horrors.

Hey I've BEEN pregnant and I played volleyball 4 days before my son was born. Unless you're in active labor, which I don't think she was, you can still run. And, even if she were in active labor, for Pete's sake run between contractions. Think of your child who will die also.

And, does she get a bit inside the trees watching the road to see WHO might be in a car approaching? No. Just disgusting, and more sadism by these writers.

Juanita, I asked myself the same question about the barred window, when there were other windows Lucia could just break and walk out.
And like Novelera said, why didn't she hide behind trees first and wait to see a car and the person in it then aski for help? I also hoped that Titi, Villa and the guys would pass through that way and help her, she would be safer with them, even though they are drug lords, but I was wrong. Also, I kept cursing Villa for financing Martin and getting him out of jail. I don't even remember Martin giving him any useful info about the TEA that he wanted when he got him out of prison.

Jota's screams are even louder that the lady's. And why would they stay out in all that cold with the baby?

As disgusted as I was about Lucía being so stupid, I did remember that she was unconscious from the stereotypical ether or whatever the villains always put on the remarkably clean hanky to knock out women they kidnap. So she never saw the red jeep when he brought her to his lair. But she still was SO stupid for running in the middle of the road.

yep, they really have dumbed down Lucia, in season 1 if I remember, Diabla had grabbed her, tortured and tormented her, then had her killed and buried, but one of Diabla's top guys turned out to be a mole, left her alive but buried her (because he was being watched) in a shallow grave, where she dug herself out and escaped, she was tough and smart.

hmm, the blood on the floor at Martin's place looked like it had leaked out of the freezer/fridge, didn't see Vale in there but it looks like Martin has been busy.

so is that Fiscal in Diabla's cell, the one that the colonel had arrested for involvement in framing Daniel as well as other cases?

Halimacandy; Titi heard CataG mention Martin on the night they rescued Mariana from him. But he doesn't know Villa knows Martin. I wonder if Martin will have another meeting with Villa before he dies.
At this point, even if the character that plays Martin is given a role as a priest in another tn, I am not sure I would like him.
Daniel's mum and his gang. She is quite a nice character. Who loves her son a lot. Doesn't really like Lucia, and doesn't hate her either :) jealous mum

@Hombre, yep, we're still waiting on that 3-day DNA test.

And I was NOT in agreement with Albeiro when he basically told CataM to suck it up about Hernán having had sex with Mariana and there being a child. This is mostly because I want CataM to dump that idiot so bad. He's throwing his college career down the toilet, and for what. CataG, the child's grandmother, basically told him to arrange visits that don't coincide with his college classes.

Please, please, let Mariana's trick be revealed and the baby be Titi's. Santiago, CataG, etc., will still love their grandchild.

Great comments, everyone! I think Lucia may have been weak from cutting her hands when she was cutting that rope, and wasn't thinking straight when she just sat down in the road. She even said "I can't go on." I have no idea how the cops or Daniel (or his gangster Mom we saw last season) could track down Martin, but they'd better do it fast.

So now both female prisoners have bare feet. Not even flip-flops?
Can Miguel actually do something right, like use Dayana's phone number to track her down? Doubt it.
