thanks novelera and Hombre for your good words and comments, or it could be Sin Culminante No Hay Paraiso.
the tv schedule for Friday is showing "Los Mejores 20 Momentos de 'Sin Senos si hay Paraíso'", instead of a regular show.
also, I don't plan on doing a recap/summary for Monday's Gran Final if anyone else wants to give it a shot.
A little advance message. I will be attending a play this coming Sunday evening, Sept 9, so I won't be home to do a Falco recap.
If anyone wants to give it a try, here's your chance!
it's night.
at the police station CG asks Albeiro why he came, he says she looked lonely, she says her mother gave her a funny look, he says he respects her.
Martin takes a gun and leaves, Daniel comes out of the woods with an ax (does he have a black mask under his plastic one) he bashes the glass in the front door and unlocks it. (all the doors and windows look like they have bars on them)
the Colonel gives CG the case file on Santi, apparently Santi and Tony were lovers, and Santi killed him, what? CG knows he was jealous but... she wants to see him.
Daniel searches, there is a body laid out in the kitchen, (other than that Martin keeps a pretty clean house) he hears screams from upstairs, and finds the girls, hooded, and freaks them out even more with his masked face, but gets them loose, wait, Martin has come back.
CG hands her purse to Albeiro and goes into a glass room with Santi, he can explain, he didn't kill anyone, she doesn't believe him, he was in a motel room with Tony, a motel room with Tony.
Martin can smell his prey and tracks the girls to the kitchen, Daniel from behind clobbers him with the butt of the ax handle, then the blade, wait, Lucia pleads sir not to kill him and go to prison, (hmm, Daniel has not revealed himself), leave it for the police, as Martin shoots him in the leg, but Dan gets in a whack to his head, is he dead?
CG demands to know what Santi was doing at a motel with Tony, he brings up Soraya, (known as Zorra Zoraya to one on twitter) which pretty much shuts down the last of CG's common sense, she doesn't know who he is anymore, she needs time, distance, and leaves, Al is being a perfect gentleman.
Albeiro tries to comfort CG, she tells him how all things come crashing down around her, spills on Titi being the papa of Mari's baby, Al knows she is good and so is Mari, she needs to be strong.
Soraya and Rocco arrive at her new apartment in Bogota, Mendiota fills her in on Santi's situation, shows her pics of Albeiro comforting CG with cuffed Santi in the background at the police station, Soraya likes it, but that's only half the job, he needs to ruin CG's life as well.
in 15 minutes Soraya will be dining with Alfonso in the finest restaurant in town, she leaves to get ready, her closets are full and there is an army of people waiting to help her.
CG doesn't know if it was a blessing or a curse, when Albeiro and Hilda came to the U.S. and reappeared in her life (definitely a curse for Albeiro and Hilda and... everyone else) , she lets Al drive, hmm, I like this valet parking in the police garage.
Vane and nanita make it to the hospital where she pours it out to Hilda about Jota kidnapping her and keeping her in a cage and..., poor Sebas always looks so lost, Hilda sends him for some tea, (not TEA)
Laura has Jota and he is losing his clothes too, and a pentagram drawn on his torso, she chants about her sacrifice, and pulls out a big knife, bye Jota, when Paola comes out of no where and bashes her, wake up Jota...
Novelera: The downfall of BPN continues....
1.) Colon & the DEA come to Castillo's rescue at Los Pinos & Colon demands that Castillo get released.
2.) BPN & his lackey in the Mexican Presidential Secret Service, Agent Luna drive out of Los Pinos to avoid getting caught by the Fed's.
3.) BPN shoots one of the Agents of the Mexican Presidential Secret Service in the checkpoint...
4.) BPN calls El Capo for help to avoid getting arrested for the kidnapping of Castilo.
5.) BPN goes off & rants at Jaime on the phone.
6.) The Female TV News Anchor gets confirmation of what BPN was doing on live TV as she scolds members of the Presidential Cabinet.
7.) Navarro & Nora join in the fun of bringing down BPN.
8.) Blue Eagle, Ismael & Co., are in Los Angeles, CA.
9.) Ritula & Super Javi having well fun....
10.) Diana & the Female Nurse are having a blast.
11.) Colon & Castillo, the Mexican Marine Corps & law enforcement agencies searching all over Los Pinos for BPN.
12.) Over at the National Palace, Castillo & Co., convene a meeting of capturing BPN & arresting him.
13.) BPN arrives at the airport & tries to get into the private jet, but is stopped by El Capo.
Thanks so much, deb. I especially liked: "Other than that Martín keeps a pretty clean house."
Hombre, I loved your long list of completely senseless things that are happening in this novela. And 100% agree with Sin cerebros.
Lots happened in last night's episode, even with the multiple flashbacks.
I'm not usually so bloodthirsty, but I was yelling at Lucía to shut up and at Daniel to whack him with his axe. Viewerville knows that Villa got him out once and could do so again. I sincerely hope he's dead. And, so, that person on the slab, er, kitchen island, was dead. More senseless stuff. He kidnapped Valeria and Lucía and left them alive while he killed someone else for an appetizer?
I was pretty much in agreement with the way CataG behaved toward Santiago. Sometimes the guy is just too dumb to live. Cata has told him over and over that she would be working with Tony all the time and that there was nothing to worry about. So he listens to BSC Soraya, leaves his child Sebas, who barely ever sees his parents, and goes to a motel thinking...what? He believes that his wife is there having sex with Tony? What a dumba$$!
And there doesn't seem to be any explanation for why a day or so ago we saw Laura doing her incantations and blowing cigar smoke at a glassy-eyed Paola and now she's snapped out of it and saved Jota? [Maybe she's saved him; can't say I'm rooting for that.]
Thanks again, Deb, another great one, I liked "Hilda sends him for some tea (not TEA)". :)
I think Martin is dead, it looks as if Daniel hit him with the axe right in the face, but with this show, you never know. And what about Lucia's baby? As for why Martin killed the other girl but left Lucia and Valentina alive, a few months ago we were speculating that maybe he wanted to gather up all sorts of people close to CataG to torment her, maybe use them to lure her there.
I think CataG should have believed Santiago. After all, when she was gone uncover with Titi, he didn't have faith in her, and this temporarily cost them their marriage. She took a loooong time to forgive him for that. So one might think that she could take her own advice, and not immediately disbelieve him. He's not a violent person. She hears the name of Soraya and immediately thinks the worst? C'mon, as a trained TEA chief, she should calmly evaluate all sides. Why wouldn't she think maybe Soraya, who many times said she'd get revenge, right in Cata's face, could have set this up? Is CataG dumb? Oh, right. On the other hand, this definitely helps get Albeiro and Cata back together, they can't deny their eternal love. But what about Hilda? What preposterous thing can the writers come up to get her out of the way?
I agree, Novelera, how could Paola all of a sudden recover, Laura must be slipping. And she said she was going to sacrifice Jota to bring her mother back! Not that that would surprise me in this show. But now Laura's lying on the ground with a big knife, Jota's unconscious, and good Paola is trying to revive him instead of kicking Laura or grabbing the knife. Let's see how well this goes.
I believe Soraya said the second part of her bargain was to send CataG to hell (inferno), i.e., hell, i.e., dead, not just disgraced or ruined. Fortunately, that's one thing that can't happen on this show, since she's the star. But I could be wrong (about the killing and and about whether ruining her is enough). We'll see (or not, with only 1 or 2 episodes left).
I will definitely be commenting on the Gran Final, although it might be late Tuesday, since I watch the show the day after it airs.
I meant when CataG went undercover with Titi, not uncover. But she almost went under the covers with him, too!

Well, no one else has offered to do a recap, so I'll give it a try. Alas, I've been away for several weeks and haven't seen the last two episodes. There's a lot I don't understand about this episode, so this recap will be part recap and part a bunch of questions that I hope others can answer.
After some scenes from previous episodes, we see Falco abruptly wake up from sleep and vomit over the edge of his bed onto the floor. Presumably he's been dreaming again about his being shot and the possibility that his best friend, Juan Pablo [henceforth, JP], was the shooter. Falco then gets out of bed, showers, goes for a walk in the park. He gets a call from Tenoch asking him to come at once. He arrives to find everyone gathered around the corpse of a young woman whom Felipe Mares identifies as Clara Velasco, 22 years old, killed by meningitis bacteria. Eva Salomón says that the only problem is that Clara Velasco has been dead for 17 years, killed in 2000 by Miguel Medrano, a serial killer known as el terror de las meninas. Clara was the last of his six victims. What's odd is that with the other five, Medrano gave the exact location of the body. With Clara, he never said where she was and her body wasn't found.
Falco and Tenoch go to interview Medrano in prison. They show him a photo of the dead 22-year-old Clara Velasco. He snidely observes that "she was much better looking when she was a young girl." Falco asks why Medrano confessed to having killed her, when he knew that she was alive. Medrano asks what he will gain if he answers that question. He also claims that he learned that she was still alive just a few weeks ago. He says that if they want to know more, "we have to negotiate." Falco replies that people have lost interest in Medrano, so if he has something to negotiate, he should do it now.
The scene shifts to Caro at work. She is walking outdoors and hears a man and a woman arguing. The woman is very upset. The man tells her in a rather threatening manner, "I won't do anything to you. Just tell me his name." He adds that if she won't go out with him on Friday, so be it, but she won't go out with anyone else. Caro comes up to the fighting couple and asks, "Ivan, what are you doing?" She also asks the young woman whether she's OK.
Salomón learns that just a few weeks ago Medrano had a visitor who claimed to be Medrano's brother but was really Ramón Payró, a nurse who had been in prison for selling contraband medicines. After being released, he kept a very low profile.
Salomón also introduces Falco and Tenoch to Clemente Bucio, who was in charge of investigating Clara Velasco's disappearance in 2000. JP comes out of his office, greets Bucio warmly, and goes back to his office with Salomón and Bucio. Falco watches JP interact with Bucio and Salomón. After they leave, JP touches or straightens some kind of decorative round silver tray hanging on his wall and then leaves.
Later, Falco breaks into Juan Pablo's office and examines the silver tray on the wall. He finds a key hidden behind it, takes the key, and leaves. Tenoch comes down the stairs just as Falco is leaving JP's office. Tenoch backs away so he won't be seen.
Falco then goes to JP's residence and breaks in. [I'm not sure how Falco knows that JP isn't home.] He sees a safe and uses the key he'd found behind the silver tray to open the safe. He finds a recording of his session with the psychiatrist [I guess it was JP who planted the bug in her phone] and some papers, including one about a Protected Witness, Yolanda Reyes Campos, the widow of Julian Reyes, the police bancario who supposedly shot Falco. Falco calls Tenoch to ask how to take photos using his cell phone.
Falco takes photos, then puts back the papers just as JP returns home. Falco hides under a table and eventually manages to leave without JP seeing him. [Here again we see JP be very fussy about the position of items, be they on the wall or on the table. I wonder whether that quirk will play a part in a later episode.]
Falco returns to the office. He learns that Tenoch did not succeed in getting any information about Payró's whereabouts from his mother. Falco says, "I suppose you told him you were a police officer." Grinning, Falco then takes the phone, calls the mother, and tells her that her son has won a videogame console from a music show on TV. They want to send him the console but they don't have his address. Bingo! Falco gets the address.
Falco and Tenoch go to Payró's address but no one answers their knock. Tenoch says they'll have to get a search warrant (un orden de cateo). Falco has no patience for such bureaucratic niceties. He breaks in. They find Payró sitting at his desk, dead, with a syringe in his arm. [It's not clear whether he accidentally OD'd or was murdered.] They also see articles on the wall about Clara Velasco's kidnapping, and a photo of her corpse at age 22.
Returning to police headquarters, Falco and Tenoch talk to Salomón about what they've found. She informs them that JP and Bucio want to close the investigation. Falco and Tenoch are outraged. Falco says something about JP et al playing with him/tricking him (nos están dando atole con el dedo). Salomón is sympathetic. She says she'll give them 48 hours more, but that's all.
Tenoch calls Falco but hears a phone ring in response to his call. He sees that Falco has left his phone on the desk. He looks at the phone and sees the photos that Falco has made from the material in JP's safe. Evenually, he tells Falco that he saw the material on his cell phone. Falco advises him not to get involved. Tenoch asks him to promise that he won't do anything without proof.
Caro is walking and talking to Falco on the phone. Ivan is following her, and when she ends the call he comes up to her and asks, "Why are you getting involved in things that don't concern you?" He tells her that he's being suspended (because Caro reported him), and things may get much worse, and if they get worse for him, they'll get worse for her. "Fix things," he threatens, "or I'll fix you."
Tenoch arranges with Medrano's lawyer for Falco to talk with Medrano at the prison. Falco wants to know what the connection between Medrano and Payró was, and who killed Clara Velasco. At the prison, there's a table set as if they'll have a meal, but the discussion leads nowhere. Medrano asks Falco whether he has daughters, but it's not clear that this is anything more than an idle, toothless threat.
Falco and Tenoch learn that Clemente Bucio had a three-year-old daughter who died in 1998. Bucio's wife tried twice to kill herself. For some reason that I don't understand, Falco and Tenoch then race off to Clemente's house. They find a woman who apparently is dead [Clemente's wife, I think], and they then find Clemente. He tells them that he had no choice. "My wife wouldn't have been able to live without her daugher and without me." Falco tells him that his daughter died 18 years ago. Clemente replies, "For my wife and me, our daughter died just a few days ago. Clara had a good life." [Huh?] They ask Clemente whether he also killed Payró. He replies, "I called Payró but he couldn't cure her. It was too late. And he threatened to denounce me." [Is the person Payró couldn't cure Clara Velasco?] Clemente points a gun at his head. Falco tells him not to killl himself. "Clara's parents have the right to know what happened to their daughter for 18 years." Clemente replies, "Clara also was my daughter." [Huh?] He then shoots himself in the head, dying instantly. [So whose daughter was Clara? Did she live with the Bucios for 18 years? Was she somehow a replacement for the daughter who died at age 3? What was Payró's role in all this? And why did Medrano plead guilty to Clara's death?]
Falco goes to see Yolanda Reyes again. He tells her that she lied in her declaration when she said that Reyes shot Falco. He adds, "The same person who shot me also shot your husband. The person is still free. Your husband was a hero and should be remembered." She then tells Falco that the two agents in charge of the case threatened her and her daughter. Especially agent Zepeda. "He told me that if I went along with what he wanted me to say, that would be the end of the problem. I accepted his offer."
welcome back Juanita!
yep, this is a tough show to recap, but you did a wonderful job.
only because I watch with english recaps do I pick up some of the little details.
last show Falco kind of gives up and downs a whole bottle of some opioids that a medic had given him, but this show we see him puking rather than dying.
in the park he is tailing JP who is getting his shoes shined, later at the same location we see a girl walk by, Falco stops her and asked if she knows this man, shows a pic of JP, my father, haven't seen him in 15 years, (something for us to ponder)
there is, at least where I live, an opioid epidemic where these highly addictive synthetic opiates sold as prescription pain killers are abused, I think that is why Payró' was in jail, selling prescription medicines (last week the ambulance medic sold some to Falco) but this week Falco even tossed his booze bottle.
Tenoch also saw Falco's evidence wall in his room, he is friends with the guy who runs the boarding house.
Caro's action got Ivan suspended somehow because her boss didn't want to do anything, but he threatens her with a knife.
as far as the actual crime goes, apparently Bucio's daughter died and they snatched Clara who lived as their daughter all these years, the connection is that Bucio arrested both the serial killer and the nurse, he later used the nurse to try to cure Clara, who also tried to blackmail him, Medrano said he hilled Clara just to add another feather to his cap.
but something you may have missed from the meal on the prison roof, this bell sounds everyday at the same time which is music to his ears as he is up looking at the view, what Falco sees is a young girls school is out and all the young girls flood the street below, Medrano is in heaven.
on Tenoch's romantic quest, he has a dating app that rates girls on compatibility with him, and he only chooses those above 90%, Falco comments on the math aspect of dating, also this girl comes to the station looking for a friend that was arrested, Tenoch offers to help and asks for her telephone number to keep her informed, she wonders if he is hitting on her, he stumbles through an explanation that it's to help and clumsily adds he likes more serious girls, she then throws the water in his face.
later she gives him a present, it's wrapped in newspaper with some murder as a headline, oh great, and inside is box of syringes, wonderful, but inside the box are cookies she baked, and her phone number.
Thanks, Juanita. This was the most complicated case to date. Glad Falco dumped the booze & pills. Tenoch's lack of finesse with the chica was lol.
Many thanks, deb, Niecie, and Steve, for your responses.
deb, thanks VERY much for your extremely helpful comments and valuable additions. I confess that I almost included the stuff about the socially inept Tenoch and his amusing interactions with Ines, but I just ran out of steam. And I guess in my steamless state I forgot to include the fact that Ivan threatened Caro with a knife. [Insert very embarrassed emoticon here.]
Your explanation about Clemente's role was very helpful, as was your connecting aspects of this episode to the previous one. I'm still a bit confused, though, about how (and by whom) Clara was snatched after Clemente's daughter died. And however the kidnapping occurred, would a 3-year-old child just accept this abrupt change in her life? It somehow seems a bit off.
One more question: was there some reason that Falco went up to the girl who admitted to him that she was JP's daughter? Why did he go up to her rather than to anyone else who passed by?
Juanita, I'm assuming Clemente kidnapped Clara to replace the daughter that died and console his wife, and that it all worked until Clara got sick and he called in Payró, the case was unsolved for a couple of years which may be why Medrano said he did it, seems like once Falco solves a case they drop all the little stuff.
on JP's daughter, I'm guessing Falco realizes JP is doing the shoeshine thing to watch this girl, which he does as she passes, and...
confusing to me that the daughter hasn't seen him in 15 years because if she knows what he looks like, she must know he is a cop, and isn't he still working in the same place?.. more mysteries of JP we can carry into the next shows.
