Mi marido tiene más familia Monday 10/22/18 Capítulos 29/30 Thoreau Said: "The path of least resistance leads to crooked rivers and crooked men."
Susana tries to get Crisanta moving. Crisanta sees her whole life as one big betrayal. Susana shows her the family tree. Susana says they are being forced to interact with the other Córcega's: Susana being Julieta's boss and Sebas being friends with Dave. Sebas is all excited that his father is coming to see him. Susana is upset because when Vicente comes back, he is always the "hero" and she is still the "monster".
Robert wants to know why Dave is asking about his bio-dad right now. Dave says Sebas talking about his father got him curious. Robert can understand that and tells him his own story.
Catalina and Hugo are going to look at hotdog carts. Julieta tells them to start simple since money is a concern. They come back later with good news. They have a cart and are ready to start next week. Hugo swears to pay them back.
Gabriel's experience at the interview at the car dealership is a flop. He finds out there is a big difference between liking cars and being able to sell cars. Axel and Clarisa appear at the dealership and Gabriel makes sure Clarisa knows about him seeing Axel with Linda who is Axel's cousin. Clarisa thinks Linda is not a problem because since they are cousins, anything between Axel and Linda would be forbidden. The interviewer sees Gabriel's interaction with Axel and Clarisa and tells Gabriel to forget about even a job in the shop. Later, Linda tells Daniela she will have to ask Julieta for some information on how to start her business. Linda also finds out that Axel is going out with Clarisa.
Julieta expresses her concern about Dave wanting to see his bio-dad to Robert. Robert should look at himself. He found his bio-parents and never looked back. Robert just sees Dave's curiosity as a normal result of Dave growing up and his own personality coming out. Julieta is still worried that she and Robert could be forgotten. She has heard enough horror stories about adoptions. Robert reminds Julieta that she cannot control everything. Later, they quarrel because Julieta saw, one object of Robert's jealousy, "Vicente" when she dropped Dave off at Sebas' house. Robert then blames her for losing her engagement ring. The plumber appears with Julieta's engagement ring. She is so excited that he found it. The busybody then asks if they are planning to get a divorce. He says that couples are like pipes. If they get too filled up with problems, they explode. Later, Julieta says maybe the plumber was right and tells Robert that they need to talk more about things. They have too much on their plate and are losing themselves. Robert agrees. Julieta says they need to make space for themselves as a couple or their relationship could be in danger. They reminisce looking through a photo album. They reaffirm the two of them as family.
At the bakery, Polita is working again being mentored by Pancho. He will teach her what she needs to know. Pancho also has a marketing idea for the bakery. He is going to start delivering their bread all over Oaxaca. He can do home deliveries.
At Susana's, Dave helps her set the table while Sebas spends time with his father. He asks if it is Susana's fault that his mother has to work so much. Susana says his mother is a vice-president and has lots of responsibilities. Susana is her boss. Sometimes one has to be very demanding to get the best results. Dave says he now understands why they call Susana "the monster". Susana asks who calls her that. Dave says his mom does. During dinner, it comes out that Dave is adopted and does not know who his bio-dad is. Susana says Dave should value the parents he is with because parents that aren't with their children soon become memories. Vicente knows that was intended for him and pounds on the table accusing her of starting an argument. Susana says Vicente chose work over his family. He shows up every couple of years to play video games and to pretend it is all okay. She is left with all of the daily stress.
Canuto talks with Axel and wishes he could do something to ease Crisanta's pain. He doesn't know what to do. He knows she will never forgive him. It is complex. Axel agrees thinking of Linda. Eugenio calls and invites Canuto to dinner. Axel is also invited. Canuto wants the two families to spend more time together, so Axel agrees to go.
Pancho listens to the letters the twins wrote to their mother. (This was an assignment that Diana gave them when she found out that their mother wasn't in the picture.) From the way they wrote the letters, Pancho knows the twins understand their mother is dead and she will always be with them. Later and all alone, Pancho talks to Rebeca's photo and asks her to help him make the twins happy and Temo, too.
Blanca discusses the birthday party and communion celebration with Julieta and Robert. Julieta says they want separate parties. Blanca insists that religion is very important. Robert says they only want to put the communion party off. Julieta reminds her that Dave has to go to catechism lessons first. Frida is on her phone with her "secret admirer" again. Later she gets another text with a photo of a boy her age. His name is Camilo.
The doorbell rings and it is Canuto and Axel. Imelda looks pleased in a pained way. Nobody knows how to react. Robert talks to Eugenio. He is not happy with Canuto just dropping by. All Eugenio cares about is that he has proved that his mother is still in love with his father. He hopes that the dance at the plaza tomorrow does its magic.
Ari is performing for his social network fans in person. Temo is there. One girl asks him why hasn't Ari ever had a girlfriend? Because the right girl has not come along yet.
Susana calls Axel. He found Canuto. He is currently having dinner at the other Canuto family's home. Susana remarks that Canuto doesn't care much about Crisanta's health. She asks to talk to Julieta. She tells Julieta that she needs Dave to go home because she is in the middle of a situation with her ex. She also mentions that she and Julieta will be working tomorrow Sunday on the catalogue. When Pancho sees Susana with Dave, he reminds her about the dance lessons at the plaza tomorrow. Susana changes her mind and drops Dave off. She arrives at Blanca's house and first talks with Julieta. She wants to talk to her father. She knows he is there. Julieta doesn't like the way Susana is talking to her. Susana says that she just wants to give her a good reason for calling her a "monster". Dave hears this and apologizes. Susana enters Blanca's home. She cannot believe that Canuto is spending time with all of them when his real family is in pieces. Imelda doesn't want any more suffering or pain. This is affecting both families. Susana tells her then not to let Canuto into her home. Susana is worried that nobody seems to care how much her mother is suffering. Eugenio takes the blame for inviting Canuto. Susana tells her father he is going to have to choose between his two families. Canuto finally speaks and agrees to leave with Susana so they can talk alone. Robert tells Eugenio that this is what happens when you don't think and only are concerned with what you feel and want. Eugenio is not dissuaded from his plan to get his parents together at the dance tomorrow. It is the last thing he is doing.
Julieta tells Dave that he cannot repeat everything he hears. Dave talks about how they have told him about being honest. Julieta has a new rule: it is not right to tell people we don't like them. Dave says that adults are hypocrites just like Sebas said. She explains he had to leave because Sebas' parents are having problems. Dave only asks that she and Robert never get divorced. She assures him they won't. Later, Julieta tells Robert and Blanca about more of the weird ideas that Sebas is putting into Dave's head: adults are hypocrites and she and Robert are going to get a divorce. Robert will talk to Dave. Julieta tells Robert to also talk to Canuto and tell him to forget his plan to unify the families.
Axel criticizes Susana for making a scene and Canuto says they could have always discussed this later. Susana wants to know when "later" is when her mother is suffering while he is here with his other family. She also lets Axel have it for treating his father as a god and her like garbage. Canuto leaves. He has had enough problems for one day.
In the bakery, Susana talks with Pancho. She could not help herself when she saw her father with his other family. She loves her father but is so angry with him she could strangle him. Susana sees Canuto as having abandoned both of his families.
Later, Robert hears Pancho's laughter from the bakery and is immediately annoyed. He tells Blanca he does not like Pancho helping out at the bakery. Blanca does not get it because Pancho is a good man. He even has a plan to distribute their bread in his truck. Robert feels like he should be the one helping them out but with his job, the foundation and his own family he just cannot spend the time he thinks he should spend with them. Blanca assures him that nobody is taking his place.
Bowling with Daniela, Gabriel, Linda, Frida and Axel.
Imelda talks to her three sons and tells them that Canuto made her realize that they still are married. Tulio tells her, if that is the case, then the building belongs 100% to Canuto. Audifaz cannot see their father taking their inheritance away. Tulio says he might not but his other family could. Tulio reminds them how did. (Yes, he did in Season 1) If they want revenge and are willing to play dirty, they could dot he same. Imelda tells them all to not get ahead of themselves. Maybe Canuto doesn't even remember that everything is still in his name. She doesn't think they need to worry about Susana but Crisanta would be capable of anything.
Crisanta cannot forgive Canuto. She feels like she is drowning. He has lost her so he can go. Canuto tells Susana that Crisanta doesn't want to see him. Susana says he needs to put himself in Crisanta's place. In tears, Canuto admits he still loves Imelda. Susana tried to understand Canuto's point of view but this is too much. Does it matter to him at all how her mother feels? He just did what he felt like doing. Her mother has been his companion for all of these years. She cannot believe his selfishness. What is he going to do? The man she loved as her father was a hero and never would have done something like this to his family. Canuto readily confesses that he is not the irreproachable man she thought he was but what is he supposed to do with his feelings? Susana says he is not only showing disrespect to her mother but he is showing it to her, too. Susana tells Canuto to just go and forget about them. He is left speechless. Susana tells her mother she will support her and that she told her dad to get lost. Crisanta doesn't want that. What is going on is between her and Canuto. Susana feels that when he deceived his mother, he deceived all of them. Susana says she will not stand in her sons' way if they want to see their grandfather.
Robert wants Julieta to help him try and stop Eugenio's plan for tomorrow. She cannot see them stopping anything and does not want any more problems with his family. He doesn't have a good feeling about tomorrow at all. He remembers his grandmother collapsing at that plaza. Julieta asks him again to end his promise to help unite the families before it drives him crazy. .
Robert has brought his parents to the Bimbo Bread Company. They go on a tour and are offered a partnership and they become one of Bimbo's distributors. They are welcomed to the Bimbo family. They will still be able to sell their own products as well. Eugenio and Blanca thank Robert for his efforts.
Robert and Vicente finish their work at Robert's home. Vicente thinks the conference will be a success. Julieta comes in. Vicente makes a comment about his marriage ending because both he and Susana were so dedicated to their work. Julieta jokes about Susana having a slight obsession with work, etc. Vicente wishes them all the happiness in the world. He kisses Julieta on the cheek and leaves. When he is gone, Julieta tells Robert not to even start . . . Robert does an imitation of Vicente.

I know there are a lot of "problems" in this novela, but I was thinking earlier that that is probably why I am enjoying it so much: There is always something different going on from week to week, episode to episode.
Earlier today, I did another double take as I was watching another movie on the Latin Freeview on my Cable : "No sé cortarme las venas or dejármelas largas" (I Don't Know Whether to Slit My Wrists or Not). This time it was Zuria Vega who plays Julieta.

How could you not love a recap beginning with "The path of least resistance leads to crooked rivers and crooked men."? Not possible.
"Imelda looks pleased in a pained way. Nobody knows how to react". Beyond stressful.
Susana is becoming the voice of reason. “Susana enters Blanca's home. She cannot believe that Canuto is spending time with all of them when his real family is in pieces”. I have to say I agree. Because his wife now knows the truth, Canuto seems carefree enough to pursue Imelda and strengthen his relationship with children he abandoned for half a century. Never mind what he has done to his other family, the one he started that fractured the first.
“Canuto readily confesses that he is not the irreproachable man she thought he was but what is he supposed to do with his feelings?” Yes. You should. He is not a sweet, loveable, affable man – he is the epitome of selfishness.
“She also lets Axel have it for treating his father as a god and her like garbage”. I was cheering her on.
I was glad to see Robert and Julieta going through their wedding album. A few minutes of joy amid the angst.
This is such a tangled web, I'm thinking the only solution would be for someone to die. One of the wives most likely. Me? I vote Canuto. I'm done with him.
Jarifa, this was a gem. Thank you!
Diana
Good ol' Bimbo has gotten a terrific product placement I see.
Sending you a virtual bouquet of roses for doing this double episode and with so much verve. We're so lucky to have you and Cynthia manning the oars on this one.
Have a great day everybody. We're still in the melancholy business of purging and pitching as we prepare to downsize. Someone needs to purge and pitch perfidious Canuto!
When you have a moment, please post a few words - just to let us know how you are. Please know you continue to have our empathy, support and affection.
As you struggle with your grief, know that we miss you and we care. We are here for you.

" Canuto leaves. He has had enough problems for one day. "
Yes, that sums up Canuto's modus operandi perfectly. When life gets difficult, he just leaves.
Diana - ITA with you that right now, that Susana is a voice of reason. Which goes to show that now matter what "monster" a person is at work or with their children, there is a heart inside them, at some point in time.
And thank goodness for Susana there to champion her poor mother at this time! She seems to be the only one who cares, or even gives a flip.
Diana (again) - I, too, have also been thinking that the easy way out would be for one of the three senior citizens to die. But real life isn't that simple, so we will see what the writers have in store for Viewerville.
"He shows up every couple of years to play video games and to pretend it is all okay. She is left with all of the daily stress. "
Yes, can I relate to that. When I'm babysitting our granddaughter, my hubby comes in to play with her, gets her all wound up, then leaves to do some work in his office. Our DGD just loves grandaddy, of course, because he is so much fun. When he is there, I'm invisible. And . . . I'm the one who changed all those nasty diapers (LOL) and does the mundane stuff like fixing lunch, breakfast, supper, etc. for her on "grandma day care" days. ~sigh~ ;-)
I gotta give it to Susana; she is one mighty brave woman to go in and confront the "other" Corsegas and her father...and luurved how she put Axel in his place. I thought it was rude of Linda to come out and interrupt. Certainly she saw how tense the situation was and she still asked to talk to Axel. I don't quite remember, but when Canuto was walking away, was he holding his right arm or left arm? If it was the left, some of you may get your wish very soon.
Did you all notice that kiss between Axel and Clarissa? You'd think they had both laced their lips with castor oil!
Alex, thanks for the info on ELVDLV. There's approximately 19 episodes left; so looking forward to the ending and some anvils.
Diana, seeing Robert and Julieta looking through their album was indeed refreshing...and a reminder of how good the 1st season was.
(((HUGS))) for Susanlynn.
OMG I really despise Canuto!
Thank goodness Susana is standing up for her poor mother. Crisanta practically raised Axel and yet he shows little empathy for her and is all supportive of Canuto. Crisanta and Imelda deserve better than this guy.
Is there going to be some twist where Axel is somehow not blood related? so that he and Linda can hookup? Right now it feels icky.
I just don't believe the Gaby storyline. A car salesman? He was running a company and then a restaurant successfully. Writers are really reaching here. I mean Dani isn't running her company administratively while spending all day building the products.
Blonde isn't a good look for Linda. It's either the dark roots or the short hair or both. Linda of Oaxaca indeed. Is she known for being pretty or easy? She behaves like the latter.
Maybe Gab is going through a crisis.
Women are apparently dispensable in the second Corcega family. No one really cares about Crisanta.
Lol at Imelda the clown telling her sons that Crisanta is petty. The clown was the first one being petty, being the one drawing the ridiculous line on the sidewalk and then following up with the red paint.
So Vicente did choose his profession over his family. Susie is doing the same in a way, but she's judged for it. Even in the modern world, it's so much easier for men to pick up and leave with less judgment than it is for a woman.
Lol at Juls being speechless when David was bringing up hypocrisy, and name calling to her attention. Sebastian wasn't making stuff up: he's highly observant, so he's not fully to blame. Be a better role model for your son, Juls.
Diana, I think most of us are done with Canuto. Imelda hit it on the headwhen she said that they would be one big happy family now if he hadn’t have cheated on her in the first place. What part of that does he not get?
JudyB, “perfidious” is one of my favorite words. It is right up there with “skulking.”
doris, that is why I want to see Sebas shipped off to live with daddy. The grass is not always greener when the some time caretaker becomes the full time caretaker. I have seen this strategy work countless times in real life.
Steve, I like Zuria Vega. The first thing I saw her in was “Qué pobres tan ricos”.
RgvChick, very interesting comment about which arm Canuto was holding. Hmmmmm.
Carvivlie, I agree that the whole Axel/Linda relationship is just “icky.” First it is the cousin thing. Second, it is just Axel himself who is a jerk just like his dad and little brother.
Anon, good observation that Susana is judged for doing the same thing that Vicente did in reference to their jobs. What he did was actually worse since he left his children behind.
Canuto hasn't changed a bit over the years, always putting himself first. Yes, very sad that the only one concerned about Cristanta is her daughter.
Uh-oh, the twins think Susana is moing in on their dad and they don't like it.
:-)
