Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia; Capítulo 58, Thursday November 29, 2018; Happy to be stuck with you—even inside an elevator!

[NOTE: Missed a piece of this because it was raining so hard that my satellite signal was interrupted. I will start where my recording was able to begin.]

Axel is studying in bed and everywhere he looks, he sees Linda’s face. Her face is on his laptop, inside his book, and haunting him in the dark. She “says” to him, “Accept it! You are in love with me.”  He puts the pillow over his head.

Audifáz writes a letter concerning Ari and says when he repents of his sins, he can come back. Polita is in the background crying.

At the Córsega apartment, Blanca is very emotional describing how Robert rescued her. She has flashbacks of him as a little boy and marvels at how adult he is and how he was the one taking care of her, giving up what he needed to in order to bring her home safely. Then she said that she just didn’t think about the consequences of going out on a limb like that and put herself in danger. She acknowledged she needs to respect her daughter’s decision and not meddle so much. Robert tells of their experience with these (dumb) thieves and how they took his car, ring, and jewelry from Blanca.

Linda tells them that Tulio has been drinking to much. Also Imelda mentions how Ari announced to the family he is gay. Robert explains how Audi threw Ari out of the house and Ari is staying with him and Julieta. Next they tell her that they found out that Daniela is pregnant as it was shown on the reality of love show.

At the “Reality of Love” show, Gabe stands up and talks about being a father and thinks of names he would like to name his son or daughter.

At home, Robert tells Julieta about what happened and she noticed that his wedding ring is gone. They discuss the situation regarding Fernando wanting more and more access to David.

In Mexico City, Gabriel and Daniela see the doctor. She is not pregnant. Gabe is crushed and Daniela looks very sad too. However Gabe gets tears in his eyes as he wanted a baby very much. The doctor explains that with these pregnancy tests, there is a 3% margin of error, which would make a false positive test.

At the Córsega home, a lawyer arrives letting the family know that Crisanta is going to court to fight to get their property. At the same time, a lawyer tells Julieta that Fernando is going to trial before a judge for his rights as a father and to take custody. He also tells them about what Crisanta is doing, trying to take away the Córsega family property. Ari takes David to school.

At the Reality of Love, couples do little games such as learning to walk together in each other’s shoes. The husbands learn to do their wives hair for them. The wives wax off their husband’s leg hair too. Gabe and Dani win this round together.

Fernando comes to the Cooper home and talks about how much he wants custody. Julieta says he is very much disrupting their lives. However Fernando says he really wants to be a good father and he does not want his rights as a father taken away.

At the dress shops, Imelda and Crisanta hurl insults at each other.

During physical education, Sebas teases David about Lupe, saying that she will be his future girlfriend.

Inside, Ari tells Temo that he needs to have his father think he is gay to teach him a lesson. He comes up with a plan.

Audi speaks to the church lady about his gay son. She advises him not to stop loving him and he should invite his son to church. She takes his hand in a loving way, then hugs him. [I am not liking what I am seeing from this woman. She seems like she is coming on to Audi.]

At the exercise class, Polita tells Blanca about her troubles with Audifáz. She wishes she was as strong and brave as Blanca and would be able to stand up to her own husband. She refuses to reject her son because of being gay. Polita cries because Audi treats her like she was a dummy. She tells Blanca she will always love Ari, regardless.

At Cklass, Susana tells Julieta how indispensable Catalina is. Linda is there too and waiting to talk to Julieta to invite her to her grand opening. However, Julieta will not be able to go. She tells Linda about how Fernando is going to fight for custody of David.

Susana leaves the room goes out to the hallway to catch the elevator, but she runs into Pancho coming out of the elevator. They get into the elevator, but as it starts to move, it suddenly stops and loses power. Susana starts to panic as she is clauterphobic.

At drama class, Iker gets an invite delivered by Frida regarding her grand opening. Sebas taunts Julio about his gay brother. Then Sebas brings out a video with Ari declaring he is gay. He is laughing and making fun of it.

Catalina goes to see Tavo for her appointment. She tells him she feels very confident now because of the therapy. She feels strong, sure of herself and empowered, capable of achieving anything she wants to!

The Córsega family comes to Linda’s grand opening. Blanca is very surprised and pleased and tells Linda how proud of her she is. Tulio goes for the champagne, but Robert stops him and tells him he needs to go to alcoholics anonymous. Tulio just scoffs at the idea.

Iker arrives with some flowers. At the same time, Axel arrives at the door. Blanca introduces herself to Iker and he tells her about the Oliver Twist production and explains how much drama and acting changes a person.

Linda goes to cut her ribbing 1, 2, but is stopped because Blanquita said her first word! She said, “Opa!” Robert goes to call Julieta to tell her the news, but Julieta just feels guilty because she wasn’t there. She doesn’t want to miss out on her daughter’s “firsts” because she is working so many hours.

Linda goes for try #2 to cut her ribbon. But Audi goes into another rant about Ari because of the video Ari put up online. Blanca tells him he is ruining Linda’s moment. So she tries for a third time finally and is successful.

Susana continues to panic in the elevator and finds out that the technician will not be able to arrive very soon and is on the other side of town. Pancho tries to calm her down with some guided imagery, but is not successful. She thinks there is no oxygen. But the “music” begins and the two of them are kissing close again. Susana seems to calm down.

I don't know what I missed, so please discuss what I may not have covered because of my satellite interruption with the rainstorm. My recording stopped several times and restarted. Sorry about that.

Cynthia: Susana Gonzalez is good in her craft.

Cynthia, no problem. With weather you never know what is going to happen. I sure was reminded of that that last week. The only thing that was missed was a phone call from Vicente to Susana letting her know he was coming for a visit and him having the nerve to ask her if she was only friends with Pancho López or something more. Sounded like the boys had filled him in. She stopped the video call right there.

Thank you for the excellent recap as always. The image from the elevator scene is so cute. Yes, that woman at the church seemed way too friendly with Audifaz. I fear he is “ripe for the pickin” so to speak.

It was so good that Susana hung up on the ever “smiling?” Vicente when he got too intrusive. Now, Polita needs to get some gumption when dealing with her arrogant husband.

At least Dani won’t have to be ambivalent about being pregnant. She definitely was not as ready as Gabriel. They are not even “officially” back together in her own mind and everyone learned about the accuracy of home pregnancy tests.

More elevator scenes tonight? . . . I cannot wait!

Fantastic screen shot Cynthia. Very, very well done!

“Sebas taunts Julio about his gay brother. Then Sebas brings out a video with Ari declaring he is gay”. I always liked the kid but when he started blatantly disrespecting Susana, I cringed. But last night was unforgiveable. I was halfway expecting Dave to stand up and throttle him and his cool head in not doing so impressed me greatly. Sebas is going to lose Dave as a friend which will be a heartbreaking loss.

"Polita cries because Audi treats her like she was a dummy". Great line. Now some excellent advice from our Jarifa: "Polita needs to get some gumption when dealing with her arrogant husband". Exactly!

I don't know what the woman in Audi's church is up too. I mean it can't be Audi's greasy manbuns and hat, can it?? He has no money so that isn't it. I don't know why they are going to so much trouble to keep him in their clutches. I miss the kind man from the first installment who is now only a distant memory.

Gabe was crushed. And while I was sad for both of them the truth is that Dani is just not ready. I believe that she wants to be as certain of she and Gabe are as a couple as he is. I know Gabe will make an excellent father. He just needs to wait a bit.

Speaking of not so excellent fathers, Fernando is moving lightening fast. I wish he had taken time to get to know Dave a bit more. Further, he should have had a heart to heart with Julieta and Robert. It was they who rescued his son and gave him a wonderful life. He owes them everything. If he truly loved his son he should have taken their feelings into account.

The men is Susana's family are pretentious snobs. No wonder Axel is so like his father. How dare they demean Pancho!! And, are we really supposed to care that Axel is love sick for Linda? Nopis!!

I am sorry Julieta missed Blanquita's first words. Everything is veering off track for her, yet she goes on. Courage and heart.

Thank you Cynthia. I always enjoy and am extremely appreciative of your recaps.

Happy Friday all!

Diana

Good morning everybody. Oh my, such driving rain that it knocked out your satellite dish, Cynthia. Praying that there are no mudslides in California. The plagues the state is experiencing borders on Biblical.

Of all the issues on this show, the one that troubles me the most is the coming fight for custody of David. I can't imagine what it must feel like to be unjustly imprisoned and then kept from any contact with one's child. But I understand the adoptive parents' pain as well. Hope this one gets resolved soon.

Thanks for the excellent screencap and recap Cynthia. Praying for the health and well-being of every Californian as well.

good morning. thanks, Cynthia. I think that the rain may be headed our way..or maybe snow. my granddaughter is home today with a cold and sore throat, and I am happy to have her company.

Good Morning! Thanks, Cynthia, Those satellite problems can be a nightmare, but you came through with one of your excellent recaps.

Diana, seeing Gabe so sad was heartbreaking. Gabe and Dani are still my favorite couple.

JudyB, I agree about the most troubling issue. Here you have a child whose mother abandoned him, used him to try to extort money, and lied just about everything. (I'm sure she has forgotten how to tell the truth.) Then Dave had to deal with being burned and all the backlash from that including being bullied and insulted. Now he has to deal with dueling parents and the pressures tha come with it.

Susanlynn, praying for you and your grandbabies. I hope healing comes quickly...emotionally and healthwise.

Susanlynn, just snuggle up with that little gal and stay warm and dry. Grandchildren are such a blessing, even when they have colds. My youngest (13months) has learned to say "NOOOOOOOOOO" when you try to wipe his nose.

OT...Chickie and Judyb..thanks for the good thoughts. my sick grandgirl is facetimimg with my six year old Canadian grandgirl who is also home from school today after getting a cast on her wrist..buckle fracture after falling off the jungle gym. Trying to encourage grandgirl 1 totake a shower and finish her homework for Monday. this nagging seems like deja vue all ovee again from when my two girls were kids. i am keeping occupied by emailing three of my buds and reading the caray comments. this gray, cold weather does not help my mood.

Thanks for your comments everyone. I normally record the episode on my DVR but last night, because of the storm, I got this "freeze frame" deal with a message on my TV that said something like, "Direct TV signal lost." Of course it was pouring rain and quite windy so I did my best. I turned the TV on and off a couple times. But since the signal was lost at first, I did miss that call between Susana and Vicente. I do recall it being on a "freeze frame" though, LOL! I just don't know what happened.

I am getting very tired of Sebas and his bullying. Apparently he doesn't believe in being a polite little boy. Both he and Axel are very arrogant.

Susanlynn: It's good to have you around because I sure have missed you. I am glad you have your little granddaughter keeping you company.

Diana: I agree with you about this woman at Audi's new church. I can't figure out what she is up to. Is she really coming on to him? It blows my mind!

Yes, about Fernando moving at lightening speed and no one has asked for a DNA test yet! Can we actually be sure he is the bio father? How do we know that Yela isn't behind this too and they are in cahoots together. My mind is wandering....

Cynthia..it is nice to be missed.

Thank you for the recap despite the technical problem.

Sebas is a brat. Susana should just ship him to his father in Africa. He really needs some serious discipline.

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia, and your clever title/shout out to Huey Lewis and the News.

Iker's vest with the big holes all over it was funny. Starving actor theater person "look"? I wondered how many times his arm has gone thru that big hole in the back, instead of the sleeve opening. 🙄

That church lady was definitely coming in to Audifaz. The way she was rubbing his hand . . . ummm . . . yep. Ewww.

susanlynn - I have come down with that same sore throat/cold. Hubby had it a week ago, now it is my turn. Ugh... Today is spent home on the recliner, watching MMTF and Hallmark Xmas movies recorded on the DVR. 😷

OT...hi, doris...I encouraged my granddaughter to take a nice, warm shower and drink a cup of tea, but she doesn't like tea and had cocoa instead. last night, I made her chicken in cream soup, rice, and broccoli , and she had seconds. Warm comfort food and beverages are good for a cold . A good movie also helps. It has been cold and gray all day here.

doris..MMTF?????

Doris: I wondered if anyone would get my reference to Huey Lewis and the News. I am such a fan! And I LOVE 80s music.

Yeah that "church lady." She needs to read the 10 Commandments over again. I think coming on to a married many is an adulterous act.

Cynthia..We went to Huey Lewis concert a few years AGO, I have always liked his music , but unfortunately the concert was a little disappointing...not much enthusiasm. he seemed a bit burned out. we have seen wonderful performances though.. Little Anthony, the Tokens, Lou Cristy, Charlie Daniels, Dion, Boz Scaggs, The Duprees, the Happenings, the Chiffons, Jay and the Americans, Hermans Hermits, etc...who sounded just as they did back in the day.

The seductivelchurch lady is Lusy Zulu, married to Arath De la Torre in real life!

Ah, I'm late to the party! Cynthia thank you for this recap that you had to do under difficult circumstances. It's much appreciated.

Rainy and chilly here in NYC. Not especially cheerful, much like this show lately. I'm sure it will be temporary, it can't always be fun and games; the sun will come out and love will eventually triumph on the show.

I'm hoping we get something to smile about tonight with Pancho and Susana.

andy

Susanlynn - oops, I left out an M...MMTMF (this telenovela)

We saw Huey Lewis and the News a year or two ago and he was "on" that night. We enjoyed it a lot. I'm so sorry your concert was flat. It happens, though. They are human too.

Susanlynn: That's too bad. I heard Huey Lewis suddenly lost his hearing recently. Kind of like Blanca's hearing loss. ;)

Anon 4:26: Hey I didn't know that the church lady was played by Arath De La Torre's wife!
