Caray, Caray!

At school, the students are talking about their characters.  Lupita asks Dave why he is so sad.  He is just thinking about having two blood related parents and two adopted parents.   He asks Lupita is she would like to go get some ice cream after the rehearsal. "Yes!" is Lupita's answer.

Catalina is all upset about Susana stuck in the elevator. Maybe she should call the fire department. What about the meeting? Julieta says that they should just do their work even though the  repairmen still haven't arrived. Julieta will fill in for Susana at the meeting. Catalina asks the stars for help.

Pancho and Susana are seated on the floor talking and laughing as he tells jokes.  He thinks life itself is an elevator sometimes you're  up, sometimes you're down,  sometimes you're out of order just like now.  He suggests that they talk abut the happiest moments of their lives rather than the worst.  He asks Susana what made her happy as a little girl.  Susana says when her father made her shrimp sandwiches. For him, it was when he took his first bite of watermelon. They move on to their adult lives. She mentions when her children were born. . . . Pancho mentions when he met his mother. . . . she mentions her first promotion. . . . for him it is the smell of a mango and helping people at the market  . . . for her it is the smell of the sea and seeing him again. . .


Julieta  gets a text from Robert saying she can always get back moments with the kids. They are all proud of her for what she does. He includes a video of Blanquita saying "Oppa".

At "Reality de Amor", they are still on the baby challenge. Dani gently tells Gabriel to get with the program.  Everything that happens is for something better. The partner exchange challenge is next.  Everyone  notices that Dani is noticing that Gabriel's partner is just a little too friendly.

At the grand opening, Iker doesn't quite get the vibe going on with Linda and Axel.  Isn't he her cousin? Linda tries to explain that Axel is very protective of her. Axel wants Iker to know that Linda is not alone and he is there to defend her. Iker calls Axel the "little big brother." Iker informs Axel that whatever intentions he may have are between him and Linda. Linda insists that she can take care of herself. She doesn't need a bodyguard. They move away from Axel to another part of the room but Axel follows.

Dani cannot take it anymore and confronts Gabriel's new "partner" for how she is acting around Gabriel. Dani reminds her that  the purpose of the show is to help you get along better with your own partner and not to be an out and out flirt with somebody else's partner. Dani's new "partner" comes over and tries to get Dani to relax. Dani does not want him to get involved because evidently  his partner doesn't want to be with him the way she's launched herself at Gabriel.  Besides being handsome and nice, Gabriel is the best! He is a good person and a gentleman who really supports women.  A producer tells Daniel how well she did because the purpose of the challenge was to recognize the great qualities in your partner that made you fall  in love with them.  Gabriel kisses Dani on the forehead and hugs her.

Susana admits to Pancho that she has stopped feeling alone after seeing him again. She has found a  friend that likes her unconditionally, an ally. Pancho feels the same way. She is the first person he wants to talk to when he has  a problem or when something makes him happy.They go on complimenting each other. They both feel like they have won the lottery.  Susana ends it when she tells him because of all of the wonderful things he is she loves him. Suddenly he looks serious. They almost kiss but the elevator door opens and prevents it.  A jubilant Catalina is right there waiting for them. She asks if they are okay. Yes, they are.

Back in her office, Pancho lets Susana know that he loved what she said to him but he  cannot have a relationship right now with everything that is going on in his life especially with his children but promises to continue telling her everything he is feeling.  He never thought he would have such a lovely memory from being stuck in an elevator.  He leaves smiling saying he will see her soon. She is smiling, too, and reaches for a lollipop when  Julieta comes in. Julieta asks for a few hours off tomorrow because of a very serious family issue that could change her life completely.  Susana tells her to take the time she needs. Julieta smiles.

Continuing at Linda's the grand opening, Iker congratulates Linda on her business. Tulio is being prevented from drinking by a quick-handed Robert who manages to grab the wine glass from him. Robert says he  is trying to help Tulio. Blanca is there to remind him of his family.  Robert offers to go to AA with him.  Tulio agrees to go but only to listen. Blanca smiles and hugs him.

It is almost bedtime at Julieta's, when Dave asks Julieta why Blanquita gets to use "Oppa".  Julieta and Robert explain it is  for the whole family to use, all four of them.  Dave never heard that word from his mother Yela or father Fernando.  Next, Robert and Julieta tell Dave about going to court because Fernando wants him to go live with him. Julieta asks him who he would like to live with.  Dave has no idea.

The doorbell rings and Ari answers. It is Audifaz still on the  rampage declaring that things are not settled. He tells Robert and Julieta that they took his son from him and Ari is a minor. If Ari does not retract his video, Audifaz will file kidnapping charges against Robert and Julieta. Ari tells "Audifaz" off.  Both Julieta and Robert tell Audifaz to get out.  Audifaz says he will not stop until his son comes to his senses as he storms out.  Robert and Julieta tell Ari they are there to support him..

Pancho is at home and thinking  back on what Susana told him in the elevator and savoring it.  The light bulb is blinking and buzzing as he sits sewing a button on a shirt. Suddenly the apartment door swings open on its own and he sees a light mist. He goes out in the hall and looks in the hallway. There he sees his Rebeca all dressed in white.  He rubs his eyes and the mist and Rebeca are gone.  He goes back inside the apartment and makes himself a sandwich and then the light starts acting up again.  This time Rebeca appears in his apartment.  She smiles and walks by him in a  mist.  He goes to follow her but she is gone again.  Everything returns to normal.  When he goes to  bed,  the light starts acting up again. He is almost afraid to look but he gets up. He opens a drawer to look at Rebeca's photo and asks her what is going on. She comes into his room and is there with him.  She explains that  she cannot stay long and that she was waiting for the right time to visit him. Pancho sobs. She tells him not to cry.  She sits next to him on the bed. She adores him.  She wants him  to know that she is well and she wants him to be as happy as possible. She needs him to listen to her very carefully. He as not responsible for anything. Pancho says he prayed to God to be able to see her just for a second. He had thousands of questions and wanted to know if she was okay, if she could see them, if she were watching them. Of course she can see them and yes, she is watching them.  She is there waiting for all of them but she has a favor to ask of Pancho. She doesn't want him waiting for her. She needs him to be free with no more fear, remorse  or pain. She needs him to promise her that he will do that.  He was the love of her life but her life is now over and his is not. Pancho still loves her and doesn't want to forget her. She says he shouldn't. He wants to ask for forgiveness. She tells him there is nothing to forgive him for but she forgives him anyway. He really needs to forgive himself. He made her the happiest woman in the world but now he needs to  move on ahead with his life. He needs to live his present and future.  Susana is a great woman who will take care of him and value him. He shouldn't try to escape love. He needs to love even more strongly so she can be at peace.

The twins hear Pancho talking and come out of their room. Rebeca looks at her children and they recognize her.  She tells them they are the bravest and best looking children that exist,  She watches them everyday and knows how well they are doing in school. She will not miss their play performance. She will watch them grow up and every one of their achievements. She has only one favor to ask them. She wants them to be as happy as possible because that is what makes her happy. She wants them to remember every second that she loves them and admires them and that someday they will all be together again. They all have a family hug. Temo comes in asking what is going on. He sees only Pancho and the twins. Pancho and the twins do a double take. Rebeca is gone.

Amalia goes to work at "Crisancha".  She has her photo on a billboard.  Somebody has written the word traitor all over it  in big red letters.   Crisanta tells her that her luck will change soon. She will even get her her own apartment in the Córcega building if she agrees to be her accomplice.All Amalia has to do is support  Crisanta in a court case

The next morning, Lupita asks Pancho if that was really their mom they saw.   Pancho says yes. Julio asks if his mother came from heaven. Pancho is sure about that. Pancho explains that she came so they would be happier. The most important thing is that they had this moment together as a family. It was like a gift from God. Then it is time to go to school. Julio is still ignoring Temo.

In one courtroom, there is a decision being made as to the disposition of the property of Canuto Córcega. In another courtroom, the custody of David Cooper Aguilar is being decided.

At the custody hearing, the judge first wants to hear Dave's testimony to help him decide who Dave will live with. Who would he like to live with? Dave says Julieta and Robert adopted him and love him a lot and are good to him. They take care of him.  Does Dave love them? Yes, he does a real lot but his bio-dad is also good and it would be great to live with him.

At the Canuto property hearing, Crisanta states that she just wants to fight for what is fair which she considers the apartment building since she spent a  lifetime living with Canuto. Amalia joins in supporting her statement. Imelda starts yelling back and tells her lawyer he better say something. Her lawyer objects stating the the only legal marriage was between Imelda and Canuto. Crisanta states that she lived with Canuto for more than fifty years. Imelda's side states that Imelda and Canuto lived in the building from the very beginning of their marriage and never got divorced. So, Crisanta's marriage is not valid. Crisanta adds that Imelda had Canuto declared dead.  Crisanta's lawyer brings up the matter of Canuto's children's inheritance. Imelda disagrees. Amalia chimes in. The judge tells them that she has the last word.

At work, Susana finds out from Catalina that her mother's court case is about acquiring the ownership of the Córcega apartment building. Susana is upset thinking about it.

At the bakery as he is stocking Bimbo products, Pancho is thinking about what Rebeca told him about Susana.  Polita gets his attention and soon they are enjoying a delicious  Bimbo snack together and talking about their sons and what a hard situation they are in. She wonders if parents could be responsible for their children being gay. He says, no, people are born that way. She wonders if their sons are a couple.  Pancho shrugs and says to each his own but of they are, then they would be "AriTemo"!

Temo and Ari talk about followers on the internet and how Ricky Martin has more than  20 million.  That just proves that sexual preference has nothing to do with anything. Ari thinks if they can just change one person's mind, then it is worth it.  He is doing this because his father is more close-minded than ever.

Dave continues that he doesn't know Fernando very well but he would like to get to know him more.  The arguments for custody go back and forth between  the lawyers. The judge asks that Dave be removed from the courtroom for a while. He leaves with Blanca. The judge now wants to hear from the parents. Robert explains how complicated the adoption process was but they managed to adopt Dave by following all of the legal procedures.  Fernando tells about Yela registering the birth certificate using her last name and never allowing him to be a part of Dave's life. Julieta describes the good quality of life that Dave has with them, They are not rich but he goes to a good school and wants for nothing. They love him. Robert says he would never keep Fernando from Dave. He could see him every weekend. Weekends are not enough for Fernando. He wants to make up for all of those years he was kept from his son.

Back at  "Reality de amor", the couples have to construct a chair. That plays to Dani's talent. Gabriel and Daniela are together more than ever. He is still talking about wanting to have a child but then suggests that he and Dani should take a pre-baby step: get a dog. Dani looks surprised.

Outside of the courtroom, Dave tells Blanca that he wants to live with all of his parents. The could build a house for Fernando in the garden. Blanca tells him how all of the family needs him because he is a Córcega. He smiles. Blanca asks if he has learned anything in his catechism lessons. Yes, he has. They pray together that today will be a good day.

The testimony in  the custody case continues. Fernando pledges to get a good job so that Dave will have everything he needs. Julieta begs as a mother not to separate her from Dave.  Robert thinks that Dave deserves the stability that he and Julieta can offer him. Dave may not have their blood but he is in their hearts. Fernando doesn't think he should be punished again for a crime  he did not commit.  He has paid society. He is ready to be a better example for his son. Doesn't he deserve a chance to make his child happy?  Isn't  it a father's right to raise is own son?

Back in the Canuto case, Imelda's rights to the  apartment building are upheld. Imelda's celebration is short-lived when the judge tells her there is a second part to her decision.  Canuto had four children.  Susana has a right to a part of the inheritance: a part of the apartment building.

In the custody case, the court is not prepared to make a final decision at this time but will schedule another hearing.  In the meantime,  both parties will agree that Fernando has the right to spend mutually agreed upon times with his son.
